85 - al-Buruj (The Great Stars) .

Waalssamai thati alburooji

By the heaven holding the big stars.

By the sky containing great stars

கோள்கள் நிறைந்த வானத்தின் மீதும்,

கிரகங்களுடைய வானத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக,

கிரகங்களுடைய வானின்மீது சத்தியமாக!

By the sky full of constellations,

Waalyawmi almawAAoodi

And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

And [by] the promised Day

வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட (மறுமை) நாளின் மீதும்,

இன்னும், வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட (இறுதி) நாள் மீதும் சத்தியமாக,

வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட (மறுமை) நாளின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

and by the promised Day,

Washahidin wamashhoodin

And by the Witnessing (i.e. Friday), and by the Witnessed [i.e. the day of 'Arafah (Hajj), the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah];

And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,

சாட்சியின் மீதும், சாட்சி சொல்ல வேண்டிய நாளின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

மேலும், சாட்சிகள் மீதும், சாட்சி சொல்லப்படுவதன் மீதும் சத்தியமாக,

சாட்சியாளர் மீதும், சாட்சி சொல்லப்படுகின்றவற்றின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

and by the witness and the witnessed,

Qutila ashabu alukhdoodi

Cursed were the People of the Ditch (in the story of the Boy and the King).

Cursed were the companions of the trench

அகழுடையவர்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள். (அவ்வாறே இம்மக்காவாசிகளும் அழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.)

(நெருப்புக்) குண்டங்களையுடையவர்கள் சபிக்கப்பட்டனர்.

(நெருப்புக்) குண்டங்களையுடையோர் சபிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டனர்.

cursed be the makers of the trench,

Alnnari thati alwaqoodi

Of fire fed with fuel,

[Containing] the fire full of fuel,

அது, விறகுகள் போட்டெரித்த நெருப்பு (அகழ்.)

விறகுகள் போட்டு எரித்த பெரும் நெருப்புக் (குண்டம்).

எரிபொருளுடைய (பெரும்) நெருப்பு(க்குண்டம்)

the fire full of fuel,

Ith hum AAalayha quAAoodun

When they sat by it (fire),

When they were sitting near it

அதன் முன் அவர்கள் உட்கார்ந்து கொண்டிருந்த சமயத்தில்,

அவர்கள் அதன்பால் உட்கார்ந்திருந்த போது,

அதன்மேல் அவர்கள் உட்கார்ந்து கொண்டிருந்த போது (சபிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டனர்.)

when they sat around it,

Wahum AAala ma yafAAaloona bialmumineena shuhoodun

And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them).

And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை (நெருப்புக் கிடங்கில் போட்டு) நோவினை செய்வதை அவர்கள் (வேடிக்கையாகப்) பார்த்துக் கொண்டுமிருந்தார்கள்.

முஃமின்களை அவர்கள் (நெருப்புக் குண்டத்தில் போட்டு வேதனை) செய்ததற்கு அவர்களே சாட்சிகளாக இருந்தனர்.

விசுவாசிகளை அவர்கள் (நெருப்புக்குண்டத்தில் போட்டு வேதனை) செய்ததற்கு (அவர்களே) சாட்சியாளர்கள்.

and were witnessing what they did to the believers.

Wama naqamoo minhum illa an yuminoo biAllahi alAAazeezi alhameedi

And they had no fault except that they believed in Allâh, the All-Mighty, the Worthy of all praise!

And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,

(நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட) அவர்களில் யாதொரு குற்றத்தையும் அவர்கள் காணவில்லை. எனினும், மிக்க புகழுடையவனும், (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வை அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டதையே அவர்கள் குற்றமாகக் கண்டனர்.

(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும், புகழுடையோனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது அவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டார்கள் என்பதற்காக அன்றி வேறெதற்கும் அவர்களைப் பழி வாங்கவில்லை.

(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோன், மிக்க புகழுக்குரியோனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வை அவர்கள் விசுவாசித்ததற்காகவே தவிர (வேறு எதற்கும் விசுவாசிகளான) அவர்களை அவர்கள் பழிவாங்கவில்லை.

Their only grievance against them was that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy,

Allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi waAllahu AAala kulli shayin shaheedun

To Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allâh is Witness over everything.

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.

வானங்கள், பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்குறியதே! (அவனை நம்பிக்கை கொண்டதற்காகவே அவர்களை நெருப்பில் எறிந்தனர்.) அல்லாஹ்வோ, (இவர்கள் செய்த) அனைத்தையும் அறிந்தவனாகவே இருந்தான்.

வானங்கள், பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உரியது; எனவே அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப் பொருள்கள் மீதும் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறான்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால் வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உரியது; அல்லாஹ்வோ ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் சாட்சியாளன்.

to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth, and Allah is Witness over all things.

Inna allatheena fatanoo almumineena waalmuminati thumma lam yatooboo falahum AAathabu jahannama walahum AAathabu alhareeqi

Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and the believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance (to Allâh), then they will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire.

Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

ஆகவே, எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஆண்களையும், பெண்களையும் இவ்வாறு துன்புறுத்திப் பின்னர், அதைப்பற்றி அவர்கள் (கைசேதப்பட்டு) மன்னிப்புக் கோரவும் இல்லையோ, அவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நரக வேதனை உண்டு. அன்றி, அவர்களுக்கு (அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களைப் பொசுக்கியவாறு நெருப்பால்) பொசுக்கும் வேதனையுமுண்டு.

நிச்சயமாக, எவர்கள் முஃமினான ஆண்களையும், முஃமினான பெண்களையும் துன்புறுத்திப் பின்னர், தவ்பா செய்யவில்லையோ அவர்களுக்கு நரக வேதனை உண்டு; மேலும், கரித்துப் பொசுக்கும் வேதனையும் அவர்களுக்கு உண்டு.

(ஆகவே,) நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங்கொண்ட ஆண்களையும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட பெண்களையும் (இவ்வாறு) துன்புறுத்திப் பின்னர், அவர்கள் (தவ்பாச் செய்து) மன்னிப்புக் கோரவுமில்லையே அத்தகையோர் - அவர்களுக்கு நரக வேதனையுண்டு; அவர்களுக்கு (விசுவாசிகளை அவர்கள் கரித்தவாறு நெருப்பால்) கரிக்கும் வேதனையுமுண்டு.

Indeed, for those who tortured the believing men and women, then did not repent, there will be the punishment of Hell and the punishment of the burning fire.

Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu thalika alfawzu alkabeeru

Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success.

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

ஆயினும், எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றார்களோ நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்கு தொடர்ந்து நீரருவிகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் சுவனபதிகளுண்டு. இது மகாபெரும் பேறு.

ஆனால் எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு, ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுக்குச் சுவர்க்கச் சோலைகள் உண்டு, அவற்றின் கீழ் நதிகள் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் - அதுவே மாபெரும் பாக்கியமாகும்.

நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங்கொணடு நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர் - அவர்களுக்குச் சுவனங்கள் உண்டு; அவற்றின் கீழ் ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும், அது மாபெரும் வெற்றியாகும்.

But those who believed and did righteous deeds will certainly have gardens under which rivers flow; that is the supreme triumph.

Inna batsha rabbika lashadeedun

Verily, (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) the Seizure (punishment) of your Lord is severe and painful. (See V.11:102)

Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

(நபியே! இந்த விஷமிகளைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம். ஏனென்றால்) நிச்சயமாக உங்களது இறைவனின் பிடி மிக்க கடுமையானது. (அதிலிருந்து அவர்கள் தப்பவே முடியாது.)

நிச்சயமாக, உம்முடைய இறைவனின் பிடி மிகவும் கடினமானது.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகனின் பிடி மிகக் கடுமையானது.

Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is severe.

Innahu huwa yubdio wayuAAeedu

Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection).

Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

நிச்சயமாக அவன்தான் (அவர்களை) உற்பத்தி செய்கிறான். (அவர்கள் மரணித்த பின்னரும்) அவர்களை மீளவைப்பான்.

நிச்சயமாக, அவனே ஆதியில் உற்பத்தி செய்தான், மேலும் (மரணத்தற்குப் பின்னும்) மீள வைக்கிறான்.

நிச்சயமாக அவன்தான் (அவர்களை) ஆரம்பமாக படைக்கிறான், (அவர்கள் மரணித்த பின்னரும் அவர்களை) அவனே மீளவைப்பான்.

Indeed, it is He Who originates [the creation] then repeats it,

Wahuwa alghafooru alwadoodu

And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islâmic Monotheism),

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,

அவன் (நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை) மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும், நேசிப்பவனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்.

அன்றியும், அவன் மிகவும் மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க அன்புடையவன்.

இன்னும் அவனே (விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரான தன் அடியார்களை) மிக்க மன்னிப்பவன், மிக்க நேசிப்பவன்-

and He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Affectionate,

Thoo alAAarshi almajeedi

Owner of the Throne, the Glorious,

Honorable Owner of the Throne,

(அவன்தான்)அர்ஷுடையவன். பெருந்தன்மையுடையவன்.

(அவனே) அர்ஷுக்குடையவன்; பெருந்தன்மை மிக்கவன்.

(அவன்தான்) அர்ஷுடையவன், பெரும் கீர்த்தியுடையவன்-

the Lord of the Glorious Throne;

FaAAAAalun lima yureedu

(He is the) Doer of whatsoever He intends (or wills).

Effecter of what He intends.

தான் விரும்பியதையெல்லாம் செய்யக்கூடியவன்.

தான் விரும்பியவற்றைச் செய்கிறவன்.

தான் நாடியதையெல்லாம் மிகுதியாகச் செய்யக்கூடியவன்.

He does whatever He wills.

Hal ataka hadeethu aljunoodi

Has the story reached you of the hosts,

Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -

(நபியே!) அந்தப் படைகளின் செய்தி உங்களுக்கு எட்டியதா?

(நபியே!) அந்தப் படைகளின் செய்தி உமக்கு வந்ததா,

அந்தப் படைகளின் செய்தி (நபியே!) உமக்கு வந்ததா?

Has there not come to you the story of the forces

FirAAawna wathamooda

Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamûd?

[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?

(யாருடைய படைகள்?) ஃபிர்அவ்ன், ஸமூதுடைய (படைகள்.)

ஃபிர்அவ்னுடையவும், ஸமூதுடையவும்,

ஃபிர் அவ்னுடையவும் ஸமூதுடையவும்;

of Pharaoh and Thamūd?

Bali allatheena kafaroo fee taktheebin

Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] and his Message of Islâmic Monotheism).

But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,

எனினும், இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் (திருக்குர்ஆனைப்) பொய்யாக்குவதிலேயே (முனைந்து) கிடக்கின்றனர்.

எனினும், நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் பொய்ப்பிப்பதிலேயே இருக்கின்றனர்.

எனினும், நிராகரிப்போர் (குர் ஆனைப்) பொய்யாக்குவதிலேயே (மூழ்கி) இருக்கின்றனர்.

But the disbelievers are in persistent denial,

WaAllahu min waraihim muheetun

And Allâh encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds).

While Allah encompasses them from behind.

அல்லாஹ்வோ, அவர்களை முற்றிலும் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றான்.

ஆனால், அல்லாஹ்வோ அவர்களை முற்றிலும் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறான்.

(ஆனால்) அல்லாஹ்வோ, அவர்களுக்கு அப்பாலிருந்து (அவர்களை எல்லாப் பகுதிகளிலிருந்தும்) சூழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றான்.

although Allah encompasses them from all sides.

Bal huwa quranun majeedun

Nay! This is a Glorious Qur'ân,

But this is an honored Qur'an

(இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கும்) இந்த உயர்மிக்க குர்ஆன்,

(நிராகரிப்போர் எவ்வளவு முயன்றாலும்) இது பெருமை பொருந்திய குர்ஆனாக இருக்கும்.

எனினும், அது கீர்த்திமிக்க குர் ஆனாகும்.

But this is a glorious Qur’an,

Fee lawhin mahfoothin

(Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz (The Preserved Tablet)!

[Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate.

லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்பூளிலும் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. (அதனை இவர்கள் நிராகரிப்பதனால் ஆகக்கூடியதென்ன?)

(எவ்வித மாற்றத்துக்கும் இடமில்லாமல்) லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூளில் - பதிவாகி பாது காக்கப்பட்டதாக இருக்கிறது.

பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள் எனும்) பலகையில் (உள்ளது)
