82 - al-Infitar (The Breaking Apart)

Itha alssamao infatarat

When the heaven shall be cleft asunder.

When the sky breaks apart

(உலக முடிவில்) வானம் வெடித்துவிட்டால்,

வானம் பிளந்து விடும்போது-

வானம் வெடித்துவிடும்போது-

When the sky breaks apart.

Waitha alkawakibu intatharat

And when the stars shall be fallen and scattered.

And when the stars fall, scattering,

நட்சத்திரங்கள் சிதறிவிட்டால்,

நட்சத்திரங்கள் உதிர்ந்து விழும்போது-

நட்சத்திரங்ளும் உதிர்ந்து (சிதறி) விடும்போது-

and when the stars fall, scattered,

Waitha albiharu fujjirat

And when the seas shall be burst forth.

And when the seas are erupted

கடல்கள் பிளக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டால்,

கடல்கள் (பொங்கி ஒன்றால் ஒன்று) அகற்றப்படும் போது,

கடல்களும் பொங்க வைக்கப்பட்டு (அவைகளுக்கு மத்தியிலுள்ள திரைகள் அகற்றப்பட்டு ஒன்றாகி)விடும்போது-

and when the seas burst forth,

Waitha alqubooru buAAthirat

And when the graves shall be turned upside down (and bring out their contents)

And when the [contents of] graves are scattered,

சமாதிகளும் திறக்கப்பட்டால் (மரணித்தவர்கள் உயிர் பெற்றெழுந்து,)

மண்ணறைகள் திறக்கப்படும் போது,

மண்ணறைகளும் மேலும் கீழுமாக புரட்டப்பட்டு (அவற்றிலுள்ள இறப்பெய்தியோரை வெளியேற்றப்பட்டுவிடும்போது-

and when the graves are overturned,

AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamat waakhkharat

(Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds).

A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back.

ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும் தான் (உலகத்தில்) முன்னர் செய்தவைகளையும், (உலகத்தில்) தான் விட்டு வந்தவைகளையும் நன்கறிந்துகொள்ளும்.

ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும், அது எதை முற்படுத்தி (அனுப்பி) வைத்தது, எதைப் பின்னே விட்டுச் சென்றது என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளும்.

ஓவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும், (மறுமைக்காக) தான் முற்படுத்தியதையும் பிற்படுத்தியதையும் நன்கறிந்து கொள்ளும்.

then each soul will come to know what it has done or what it has left undone.

Ya ayyuha alinsanu ma gharraka birabbika alkareemi

O man! What has made you careless about your Lord, the Most Generous?

O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

மனிதனே! மிக கண்ணியம் உள்ள உனது இறைவனைப் பற்றி உன்னை மயக்கிவிட்டது எது?

மனிதனே! கொடையாளனான சங்கை மிக்க உன் இறைவனுக்கு மாறு செய்யும்படி உன்னை மருட்டி விட்டது எது?

மனிதனே! கொடையாளனாகிய உமதிரட்சகனுக்கு மாறு செய்ய உன்னை ஏமாற்றியது எது?

O mankind, what has lured you away from your Lord, the Most Generous,

Allathee khalaqaka fasawwaka faAAadalaka

Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion.

Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

அவன்தான் (ஒன்றுமில்லாதிருந்த) உன்னை படைத்து மேலான விதத்தில் மிக ஒழுங்காக உன்னை அமைத்தான்.

அவன்தான் உன்னைப்படைத்து, உன்னை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தி; உன்னைச் செவ்வையாக்கினான்.

(உமதிரட்சகனாகிய) அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உன்னை (ஒரு துளி விந்திலிருந்து)ப் படைத்து பின்னர் உன்னை ஒழுங்காக அமைத்து (உன் தோற்றத்தை) சரியாக ஆக்கினான்.

Who created you, then shaped and proportioned you,

Fee ayyi sooratin ma shaa rakkabaka

In whatever form He willed, He put you together.

In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

அவன் விரும்பிய (மிக்க அழகான) கோலத்தில் உன்னுடைய அவயங்களைப் பொறுத்தினான்.

எந்த வடிவத்தில் அவன் விரும்பினானோ (அதில் உன் உறுப்புகளைப்) பொருத்தினான்.

எந்த வடிவத்தில் அவன் நாடினானோ (அதில்) உன்னைப் பொருத்தினான்.

and assembled you in whatever form He willed?

Kalla bal tukaththiboona bialddeeni

Nay! But you deny Ad-Dîn (i.e. the Day of Recompense).

No! But you deny the Recompense.

எனினும், (மனிதர்களே!) கூலி கொடுக்கும் (தீர்ப்பு) நாளைப் பொய்யாக்குகின்றீர்கள்.

இவ்வாறிருந்தும் நீங்கள் (கியாம) நாளைப் பொய்ப்பிக்கின்றீர்கள்.

அன்று! எனினும் கூலிகொடுக்கப்படும் (மறுமை) நாளை நீங்கள் பொய்யாக்குகின்றீர்கள்.

No indeed; but you deny the Judgment Day,

Wainna AAalaykum lahafitheena

But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you,

And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers,

நிச்சயமாக உங்கள் மீது காவலாளர்கள் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டு இருக்கின்றனர்.

நிச்சயமாக, உங்கள் மீது பாது காவலர்கள் (நியமிக்கப்பட்டு) இருக்கின்றனர்.

நிச்சயமாக உங்கள் மீது பாதுகாவலர்களும் (நியமிக்கப்பட்டு) இருக்கின்றனர்.

while there are watchers over you,

Kiraman katibeena

Kirâman (honourable) Kâtibîn – writing down (your deeds),

Noble and recording;

அவர்கள் (மலக்குகளில் உள்ள) கண்ணியமான எழுத்தாளர்கள்.

(அவர்கள்) கண்ணியம் வாய்ந்த எழுத்தாளர்கள்.

அவர்கள் (மலக்குகளிலுள்ள) கண்ணியமான எழுத்தாளர்கள்.

honorable scribes,

YaAAlamoona ma tafAAaloona

They know all that you do.

They know whatever you do.

நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்கள் (தவறாது) அறிந்து (எழுதிக்) கொள்வார்கள்.

நீங்கள் செய்கிறதை அவர்கள் அறிகிறார்கள்.

நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை அவர்கள் அறிந்து (எழுதிக்) கொள்வார்கள்.

who know whatever you do.

Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin

Verily, Al-Abrâr (the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism) will be in Delight (Paradise);

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக நல்லவர்கள், இன்பம் நிறைந்த சுவனபதியில் இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக நல்லவர்கள் நயீம் என்னும் சுவர்க்கத்தில் இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக நல்லோர் சுகபோகத்தில் இருப்பார்கள்.

Indeed, the righteous will be in Bliss,

Wainna alfujjara lafee jaheemin

And verily, Al-Fujjâr (the wicked, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners and evildoers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell),

And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

நிச்சயமாகத் தீயவர்கள் நரகத்தில்தான் இருப்பார்கள்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக, தீமை செய்தவர்கள் நரகத்தில் இருப்பார்கள்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக தீயோர் நரகத்தில் இருப்பார்கள்.

and the wicked will be in the Blazing Fire,

Yaslawnaha yawma alddeeni

Therein they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense,

They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

கூலி கொடுக்கும் நாளில் அதனையே அவர்கள் அடைவார்கள்.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாளில் அவர்கள் அதில் பிரவேசிப்பார்கள்.

கூலி கொடுக்கப்படும் நாளில் அதில் அவர்கள் நுழைவார்கள்.

which they will enter on Judgment Day,

Wama hum AAanha bighaibeena

And they (Al-Fujjâr) will not be absent therefrom.

And never therefrom will they be absent.

அவர்கள் அதிலிருந்து மறைந்து (தப்பி ஓடி) விட முடியாது.

மேலும், அவர்கள் அதிலிருந்து (தப்பித்து) மறைந்து விட மாட்டார்கள்.

அவர்கள் அதிலிருந்து மறைந்து (தப்பி) விடக்கூடியவர்களுமல்லர்.

and will never come out of it.

Wama adraka ma yawmu alddeeni

And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?

And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

(நபியே!) கூலி கொடுக்கும் அந்நாள் என்னவென்று நீங்கள் அறிவீர்களா?

நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாள் என்ன வென்று உமக்கு அறிவிப்பது எது?

(நபியே!) கூலி கொடுக்கப்படும் நாள் என்னவென்று உமக்கு அறிவித்தது எது?

How do you know what Judgment Day is?

Thumma ma adraka ma yawmu alddeeni

Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is?

Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

கூலி கொடுக்கும் அந்நாள் என்னவென்று உங்களுக்கு எவரேனும் அறிவித்தனரா?

பின்னும் - நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாள் என்ன என்று உமக்கு அறிவிப்பது எது?

பின்னும், கூலி கொடுக்கப்படும் நாள் என்னவென்று உமக்கு அறிவித்தது எது?

Again, how do you know what Judgment Day is?

Yawma la tamliku nafsun linafsin shayan waalamru yawmaithin lillahi

(It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do anything) for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allâh.

It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.

அந்நாளில் யாதொரு ஆத்மாவும், மற்ற ஆத்மாவுக்கு யாதொரு பயனுமளிக்க சக்தி பெறாது. அதிகாரமும் அந்நாளில் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே இருக்கும்.

அந்நாளில் ஓர் ஆத்மா பிறிதோர் ஆத்மாவுக்கு எதுவும் செய்ய சக்தி பெறாது; அதிகாரம் முழுவதும் அன்று அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே.

(அந்நாள் தான்) எந்த ஆத்மாவும் (பிறிதோர்) ஆத்மாவுக்கு எதையும் செய்ய சக்தி பெறாத நாள்; இன்னும் அதிகாரம் (முழுவதும்) அன்றையத் தினத்தில் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது.

It is the Day when no soul will be of any help to another, and all command on that Day will be with Allah.
