8 - al-Anfal (The Spoils of War)

Yasaloonaka AAani alanfali quli alanfalu lillahi waalrrasooli faittaqoo Allaha waaslihoo thata baynikum waateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu in kuntum mumineena

They ask you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) about the spoils of war. Say: "The spoils are for Allâh and the Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]." So fear Allâh and adjust all matters of difference among you, and obey Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), if you are believers.

They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the bounties [of war]. Say, "The [decision concerning] bounties is for Allah and the Messenger." So fear Allah and amend that which is between you and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you should be believers.

(நபியே!) "அன்ஃபால்" (என்னும் போரில் கிடைத்த பொருள்களைப்) பற்றி அவர்கள் உங்களிடம் கேட்கின்றனர். (அதற்கு) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "அன்ஃபால்" அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அல்லாஹ் வுடைய) தூதருக்கும் சொந்தமானது. ஆகவே, நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து (அதில் யாதொன்றையும் மறைத்துக் கொள்ளாது) உங்களுக்கிடையில் ஒழுங்காக நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். உண்மையாகவே நீங்கள் உண்மை நம்பிக்கையாளர்களாக இருந்தால் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படிந்து நடங்கள்.

போரில் கிடைத்த வெற்றிப்பொருள்(அன்ஃபால்)களைப் பற்றி உம்மிடம் அவர்கள் கேட்கிறார்கள். (அதற்கு நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: அன்ஃபால் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் சொந்தமானதாகும்; ஆகவே அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; உங்களிடையே ஒழுங்குடன் நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் முஃமின்களாக இருப்பின் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படியுங்கள்.

(நபியே!) அன்ஃபால் (போர் முனையில் கிடைத்த வெற்றிப் பொருட்களைப்) பற்றி அவர்கள் உம்மிடம் கேட்கின்றனர், (அதற்கு) நீர் கூறுவீராக! “அன்ஃபால் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் உரியதாகும், ஆகவே, நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், (அதில் யாதொன்றையும் மறைத்துக் கொள்ளாது) உங்களுக்கிடையில் (உங்களுடைய) நிலைகளை சீராக்கிக் கொள்ளுங்கள், நீங்கள் உண்மை விசுவாசிகளாயிருந்தால் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழப்படிந்து நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

They ask you [O Prophet] about the spoils of war. Say, “The spoils of war belong to Allah and the Messenger. So fear Allah, settle your affairs among yourselves, and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you are [true] believers.”

Innama almuminoona allatheena itha thukira Allahu wajilat quloobuhum waitha tuliyat AAalayhim ayatuhu zadathum eemanan waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona

The believers are only those who, when Allâh is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur'ân) are recited to them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone);

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely -

உண்மையான நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள் யாரென்றால், அல்லாஹ்வை (அவர்கள் முன்) நினைவு கூறப்பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் பயந்து நடுங்கிவிடும்; அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப் பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கை (மென்மேலும்) அதிகரிக்கும். அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனையே முற்றிலும் நம்பியிருப்பார்கள்.

உண்மையான முஃமின்கள் யார் என்றால், அல்லாஹ்(வின் திருநாமம் அவர்கள் முன்) கூறப்பட்டால், அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் பயந்து நடுங்கிவிடும்; அவனுடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக்காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய ஈமான் (பின்னும்) அதிகரிக்கும்; இன்னும் தன் இறைவன் மீது அவர்கள் முற்றிலும் நம்பிக்கை வைப்பார்கள்.

(உண்மையான) விசுவாசிகள் யாரென்றால், அல்லாஹ் (-அவன் பெயர் அவர்கள் முன்) கூறப்பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் பயந்து நடுங்கிவிடும், மேலும், (இவ்வேதத்தை இறக்கி வைத்த) அவனுடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால், அவை அவர்களுக்கு ஈமானை அதிகப்படுத்தும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் மீது (தங்கள் காரியங்களை ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) நம்பிக்கையும் வைப்பார்கள்.

The true believers are those whose hearts are filled with awe when Allah is mentioned, and their faith increases when His verses are recited to them, and they put their trust only in their Lord;

Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona

Who perform As-Salât (the prayers) and spend out of that We have provided for them.

The ones who establish prayer, and from what We have provided them, they spend.

அவர்கள் தொழுகையையும் கடைபிடிப்பார்கள்; நாம் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பொருள்களிலிருந்து (தானமாக) செலவும் செய்வார்கள்.

அவர்கள் தொழுகையை நிலை நிறுத்துவார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கு நாம் அளித்த (செல்வத்)திலிருந்து நன்கு செலவு செய்வார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தொழுகையை நிறைவேற்றுவார்கள், நாம் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த (செல்வத்)திலிருந்து (தானமாகச்) செலவும் செய்வார்கள்.

those who establish prayer and spend out of what We have provided for them.

Olaika humu almuminoona haqqan lahum darajatun AAinda rabbihim wamaghfiratun warizqun kareemun

It is they who are the believers in truth. For them are grades of dignity with their Lord, and forgiveness and a generous provision (Paradise).

Those are the believers, truly. For them are degrees [of high position] with their Lord and forgiveness and noble provision.

இத்தகையவர்கள்தான் உண்மையான நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள். அவர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் இறைவனிடத்தில் பல உயர் பதவிகளும் மன்னிப்பும் உண்டு; அன்றி, கண்ணியமான உணவும் உண்டு.

இத்தகையவர் தாம் உண்மையான முஃமின்கள் ஆவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய இறைவனிடம் அவர்களுக்கு உயர் பதவிகளும், பாவ மன்னிப்பும் சங்கையான உணவும் உண்டு.

இத்தகையோர்தாம் உண்மையாகவே விசுவாசிகள், அவர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் இரட்சகனிடத்தில் பல உயர் பதவிகளும், மன்னிப்பும் சங்கையான உணவும் உண்டு.

Such are the true believers; they will have high ranks with their Lord, and forgiveness and an honorable provision.

Kama akhrajaka rabbuka min baytika bialhaqqi wainna fareeqan mina almumineena lakarihoona

As your Lord caused you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) to go out from your home with the truth; and verily, a party among the believers disliked it,

[It is] just as when your Lord brought you out of your home [for the battle of Badr] in truth, while indeed, a party among the believers were unwilling,

(நபியே!) உங்களது இறைவன் உங்கள் இல்லத்திலிருந்து சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு உங்களை வெளியேற்றிய சமயத்தில் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தினர் (உங்களுடன் வர) விரும்பாதவாறே,

(நபியே!) உம் இறைவன் உம்மை உம் வீட்டைவிட்டு சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு (பத்ரு களம் நோக்கி) வெளியேற்றிய போது முஃமின்களில் ஒரு பிரிவினர் (உம்முடன் வர இணக்கமில்லாது) வெறுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது போல.

(நபியே! யுத்தப் பொருட்கள் பங்கீடு விஷயத்தில் அவர்கள் அதிருப்தியுற்றது) உமதிரட்சகன், உம் இல்லத்திலிருந்து உண்மையைக் கொண்டு உம்மை வெளியேற்றியதை (அவர்கள் விரும்பாததை)ப் போன்றிருக்கிறது, நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசிகளில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தினர், (‘பத்ரு’ யுத்தத்தின்போது உம்முடன் வருவதை) வெறுக்கக்கூடியவர்களாக இருக்க,

Just as your Lord brought you [O Prophet] out of your home for a just cause, even though a group of the believers were averse to it.

Yujadiloonaka fee alhaqqi baAAdama tabayyana kaannama yusaqoona ila almawti wahum yanthuroona

Disputing with you concerning the truth after it was made manifest, as if they were being driven to death, while they were looking (at it).

Arguing with you concerning the truth after it had become clear, as if they were being driven toward death while they were looking on.

(போர் செய்வது அவசியம் என) அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவாகத் தெரிந்த பின்னரும் இவ்வுண்மை விஷயத்திலும் அவர்கள் உங்களுடன் தர்க்கிக்கின்றனர். தங்கள் கண்ணால் காணும் மரணத்தின் பக்கமே அவர்கள் ஓட்டிச் செல்லப்படுகின்றனர் போலும்!

அவர்களுக்கு தெளிவான பின்னரும் சத்தியத்தில் அவர்கள் உம்முடன் விவாதம் செய்கின்றனர்; அவர்கள் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போதே யாரோ அவர்களை மரணத்தின்பால் இழுத்துக் கொண்டு செல்வது போன்று (நினைக்கின்றார்கள்).

(யுத்தம் செய்வது அவசியம் என அவர்களுக்குத்) தெளிவான பின்னர்), தாங்கள் (கண்ணால் மரணத்தைப்)பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்க (யாரோ ஒருவரால்) மரணத்தின்பால் அவர்கள் இழுத்துச் செல்லப்படுபவர்களைப் போன்று இவ்வுண்மை விஷயத்திலும் அவர்கள் உம்முடன் விவாதம் செய்கின்றனர்.

They disputed with you concerning the truth after it had become clear to them, as if they were being driven towards death while they were looking on.

Waith yaAAidukumu Allahu ihda alttaifatayni annaha lakum watawaddoona anna ghayra thati alshshawkati takoonu lakum wayureedu Allahu an yuhiqqa alhaqqa bikalimatihi wayaqtaAAa dabira alkafireena

And (remember) when Allâh promised you (Muslims) one of the two parties (of the enemy, i.e. either the army or the caravan) that it should be yours; you wished that the one unarmed (the caravan) should be yours, but Allâh willed to justify the truth by His Words and to cut off the roots of the disbelievers (i.e. in the battle of Badr).

[Remember, O believers], when Allah promised you one of the two groups - that it would be yours - and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours. But Allah intended to establish the truth by His words and to eliminate the disbelievers

(எதிரிகளின்) இரு கூட்டங்களில் ஒன்று, நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்துவிடுமென்று அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்த சமயத்தில் நீங்கள் (அவ்விரண்டில்) பலமில்லாத (வர்த்தகக்) கூட்டத்தை (அடைய) விரும்பினீர்கள். எனினும், அல்லாஹ்வோ தன் வாக்கின்படி உண்மையை நிலைநாட்டி நிராகரிப்பவர்களின் வேரை அறுத்துவிடவே நாடினான்.

(அபூஸுஃப்யான் தலைமையில் வரும் வியாபாரக் கூட்டம் அபூஜஹ்லின் தலைமையில் வரும் படையினர் ஆகிய) இரு கூட்டங்களில் (ஏதேனும்) ஒரு கூட்டத்தை (வெற்றி கொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பு) உங்களுக்கு உண்டு என்று, அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்ததை நினைவு கூறுங்கள். ஆயுத பாணிகளாக இல்லாத (வியாபாரக் கூட்டம் கிடைக்க வேண்டுமென) நீங்கள் விரும்பினீர்கள்; (ஆனால்) அல்லாஹ் தன் திருவாக்குகளால் சத்தியத்தை நிலைநாட்டவும் காஃபிர்களை வேரறுக்கவுமே நாடுகிறான்.

மேலும், (விரோதிகளின் இரு கூட்டங்களில் (ஏதேனும்) ஒன்றை- நிச்சயமாக அது உங்களுக்குத்தான் என அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்ததை-(நினைவு கூருங்கள், அவ்விரண்டில்) நிச்சயமாக ஆயுதமில்லாத (வர்த்தகக் கூட்டமான)து உங்களுக்குக் கிடைக்க வேண்டுமென நீங்கள் விரும்பினீர்கள், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வோ, தன் வாக்குகளின் மூலம் உண்மையை நிலைநாட்டவும், நிராகரிப்போரை வேரறுத்துவிடவும் நாடுகிறான்.

And [remember, O believers], when Allah promised you one of the two parties, that it would fall to you, and you wished that the unarmed one would fall to you. But it was Allah’s Will to establish the truth by His Words and exterminate the disbelievers,

Liyuhiqqa alhaqqa wayubtila albatila walaw kariha almujrimoona

That He might cause the truth to triumph and bring falsehood to nothing, even though the Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals) hate it.

That He should establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals disliked it.

அன்றி, அவன் பாவிகள் வெறுத்தபோதிலும் பொய்யை அழித்து உண்மையை நிலைநாட்(டவே நா)டினான்.

மேலும் குற்றவாளிகள் வெறுத்த போதிலும், அல்லாஹ் பொய்யை அழித்து ஹக்கை-உண்மையை - நிலைநாட்டவே (நாடுகிறான்).

குற்றவாளிகள் வெறுத்த போதிலும் அவன் உண்மையை நிலைநாட்டி விட மற்றும் பொய்யை அவன் அழித்துவிடவுமே (நாடுகிறான்.)

so that He might establish the truth and nullify the falsehood, even though the wicked are averse to it.

Ith tastagheethoona rabbakum faistajaba lakum annee mumiddukum bialfin mina almalaikati murdifeena

(Remember) when you sought help of your Lord and He answered you (saying): "I will help you with a thousand of the angels each behind the other (following one another) in succession."

[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another."

(உங்களை) பாதுகாக்குமாறு நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனிடம் கோரியபோது "அணியணியாக உங்களைப் பின்பற்றி வரக்கூடிய ஆயிரம் மலக்குகளைக் கொண்டு நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வேன்" என்று அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பதிலளித்தான்.

(நினைவு கூறுங்கள்:) உங்களை இரட்சிக்குமாறு உங்கள் இறைவனின் உதவியை நாடியபோது: “(அணி அணியாக உங்களைப்) பின்பற்றி வரக்கூடிய ஓராயிரம் மலக்குகளைக் கொண்டு நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்கு உதவி புரிவேன்” என்று இறைவன் உங்களுக்கு பதிலளித்தான்.

நீங்கள் உங்கள் இரட்சகனிடம் (உங்களை) இரட்சிக்கத் தேடியபோது “(அணி அணியாக) உங்களோடு இணைந்து (அடுத்து) வரக் கூடியவர்களாக மலக்குகளில் ஆயிரம் பேர்களைக் கொண்டு நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வேன்” என்று அவன் உங்களுக்கு பதிலளித்தான்.

[Remember] when you were seeking help of your Lord [at Badr] and He responded to you, “I will reinforce you with a thousand angels, following one another in succession.”

Wama jaAAalahu Allahu illa bushra walitatmainna bihi quloobukum wama alnnasru illa min AAindi Allahi inna Allaha AAazeezun hakeemun

Allâh made it only as glad tidings, and that your hearts be at rest therewith. And there is no victory except from Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

And Allah made it not but good tidings and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And victory is not but from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

உங்கள் உள்ளங்கள் திருப்தியடைவதற்காக ஒரு நற்செய்தியாகவே இதனை அல்லாஹ் (உங்களுக்கு) ஆக்கி வைத்தான். அல்லாஹ்விடம் இருந்தேயன்றி (உங்களுக்கு) இவ்வுதவி கிடைத்து விடவில்லை. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

உங்கள் இருதயங்கள் திருப்தியடைவதற்காகவும், ஒரு நன்மாராயமாகவும் (இந்த வெற்றியை) அல்லாஹ் ஆக்கினான்; அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்தே தவிர உதவி இல்லை; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிகைத்தவனாகவும், ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.  

(உங்களுக்கு) நன்மாராயமாகவும், அதனால் உங்கள் இதயங்கள் அமைதி பெறுவதற்காகவுமே தவிர அதை அல்லாஹ் ஆக்கவில்லை, இன்னும், உதவி அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்தே தவிர இல்லை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

Allah granted this only as glad tidings and to reassure your hearts, for victory only comes from Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Ith yughashsheekumu alnnuAAasa amanatan minhu wayunazzilu AAalaykum mina alssamai maan liyutahhirakum bihi wayuthhiba AAankum rijza alshshaytani waliyarbita AAala quloobikum wayuthabbita bihi alaqdama

(Remember) when He covered you with a slumber as a security from Him, and He caused water (rain) to descend on you from the sky, to clean you thereby and to remove from you the Rijz (whispering, evil suggestions) of Shaitân (Satan), and to strengthen your hearts, and make your feet firm thereby.

[Remember] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness [giving] security from Him and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you and remove from you the evil [suggestions] of Satan and to make steadfast your hearts and plant firmly thereby your feet.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! உங்கள் மனம்) சாந்தியடைந் தவர்களாக, சிறியதொரு நித்திரை உங்களைப் பொதிந்துகொள்ளும் படி (இறைவன்) செய்ததை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்! அன்றி (அது சமயம்) உங்கள் தேகத்தை நீங்கள் சுத்தப்படுத்திக் கொள்வதற் காகவும், உங்களை விட்டு ஷைத்தானுடைய அசுத்தத்தைப் போக்கி விடுவதற்காகவும், உங்கள் உள்ளங்களை பலப்படுத்தி, உங்கள் பாதங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் (அவனே) வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை பொழியச் செய்தான்.

(நினைவு கூறுங்கள்:) நீங்கள் அமைதியடைவதற்காக அவன் சிறியதொரு நித்திரை உங்களை பொதிந்து கொள்ளுமாறு செய்தான்; இன்னும் உங்களை அதன் மூலம் தூய்மைப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும், ஷைத்தானின் தீய எண்ணங்களை உங்களைவிட்டு நீக்குவதற்காகவும், உங்கள் இருதயங்களைப் பலப்படுத்தி, உங்கள் பாதங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும், அவன் உங்கள் மீது வானிலிருந்து மழை பொழியச் செய்தான்.

(விசுவாசிகளே! உங்கள் மனம் மிகக் கூடுதலான எதிரிகளைக் கண்டு பயப்படாது) அபயம் பெறுவதற்காக அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்கு சிறிய தூக்கத்தை அவன் போட்டான் என்பதை-(நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பீர்களாக! அது சமயம்) உங்களை அதைக்கொண்டு தூய்மைப் படுத்துவதற்காகவும் உங்களைவிட்டு ஷைத்தானுடைய அச்சத்தை தீய ஊசாட்டத்தை)ப் போக்கிவிடுவதற்காகவும், உங்கள் இதயங்களைப் பலப்படுத்தி, அதைக்கொண்டு உங்கள் பாதங்களை உறுதிப் படுத்துவதற்காகவும், அவனே வானத்திலிருந்து உங்கள் மீது மழையையும் இறக்கி வைத்தான்.

[Remember] when He caused drowsiness to overcome you as an assurance from Him, and He sent down rain from the sky to purify you and to remove Satan’s whispers from you, and to strengthen your hearts and to steady your footsteps.

Ith yoohee rabbuka ila almalaikati annee maAAakum fathabbitoo allatheena amanoo saolqee fee quloobi allatheena kafaroo alrruAAba faidriboo fawqa alaAAnaqi waidriboo minhum kulla bananin

(Remember) when your Lord revealed to the angels, "Verily, I am with you, so keep firm those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who have disbelieved, so strike them over the necks, and smite over all their fingers and toes."

[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."

(நபியே!) உங்களது இறைவன் மலக்குகளை நோக்கி "நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன். ஆகவே நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துங்கள்; (என்று கட்டளையிட்டு) நிராகரிப்பவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் நாம் திகிலை உண்டு பண்ணுவோம் (என்று கூறி, நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை நோக்கி) நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய பிடரிகளின் மேல் வெட்டுங்கள். அவர்களை கணுக்கணுவாகத் துண்டித்து விடுங்கள்" என்று அறிவித்ததை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.

(நபியே!) உம் இறைவன் மலக்குகளை நோக்கி: “நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன்; ஆகவே, நீங்கள் முஃமின்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துங்கள்; நிராகரிப்போரின் இருதயங்களில் நான் திகிலை உண்டாக்கி விடுவேன்; நீங்கள் அவர்கள் பிடரிகளின் மீது வெட்டுங்கள்; அவர்களுடைய விரல் நுனிகளையும் வெட்டி விடுங்கள்” என்று (வஹீ மூலம்) அறிவித்ததை நினைவு கூறும்.

(நபியே!) உமதிரட்சகன் மலக்குகளின்பால், “நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன், ஆகவே, நீங்கள் விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரை உறுதிப்படுத்துங்கள் (என்று கட்டளையிட்டு) நிராகரிப்போருடைய இதயங்களில் திகிலை நான் போட்டு விடுவேன், ஆகவே, நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளுக்கு மேல் வெட்டுங்கள், அவர்களின் (உடலில் உள்ள உறுப்புக்களின்) இணைப்புகளைத் துண்டித்து விடுங்கள்” என்று (விசுவாசிகளுக்குக் கூறுமாறு வஹீமூலம்) அறிவித்ததை நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பீராக!

[Remember] when your Lord inspired the angels, “I am with you, so make firm the feet of those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So strike their necks and strike all their limbs.”

Thalika biannahum shaqqoo Allaha warasoolahu waman yushaqiqi Allaha warasoolahu fainna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi

This is because they defied and disobeyed Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]. And whoever defies and disobeys Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], then verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment.

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger - indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.

இதற்குக் காரணம், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் மாறு செய்ததுதான். எவரேனும், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் மாறு செய்தால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அவர்களை) மிகக் கடுமையாகவே வேதனை செய்வான்.

இதற்கு காரணம்: நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் விரோதம் செய்தார்கள். எவர் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவன் தூதருக்கும் விரோதம் செய்வாரோ - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் கடினமாகத் தண்டனை செய்பவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

அது நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் மாறு செய்துவிட்டனர் என்ற காரணத்தினாலாகும், இன்னும், எவர் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் முரண்படுகிறாரோ நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அவர்களை) தண்டனை செய்வதில் மிகக் கடினமானவன்.

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. Whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, Allah is indeed severe in punishment.

Thalikum fathooqoohu waanna lilkafireena AAathaba alnnari

This is (the torment), so taste it; and surely, for the disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.

"That [is yours], so taste it." And indeed for the disbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.

(நிராகரிப்பவர்களே! நீங்கள் அடையப்போகும் வேதனை) இதோ! இதனை நீங்கள் சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள். அன்றி (உங்களைப் போன்ற) நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (மறுமையில்) நிச்சயமாக நரக வேதனையும் உண்டு.

“இதை(தண்டனையை)ச் சுவையுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக காஃபிர்களுக்கு நரக வேதனையுண்டு” என்று (நிராகரிப்போருக்குக்) கூறப்படும்.

(“நிராகரிப்போர்களே! நீங்கள் அடையப்போகும் வேதனை) இதோ! இதனை நீங்கள் சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள், (உங்களைப் போன்ற) நிராகரிப்போர்க்கு (மறுமையில்) நிச்சயமாக நரக வேதனையுமுண்டு” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

That is for you, so taste it, and for the disbelievers there will be the punishment of the Fire.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetumu allatheena kafaroo zahfan fala tuwalloohumu aladbara

O you who believe! When you meet those who disbelieve, in a battlefield, never turn your backs to them.

O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight].

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் நிராகரிப்பவர்களின் படையைச் சந்தித்தால் அவர்களுக்குப் புறங்காட்(டி ஓடிவி)டாதீர்கள்.

நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் நிராகரிப்போரைப் (போரில்) ஒன்று திரண்டவர்களாக சந்தித்தால் அவர்களுக்கு புறமுதுகு காட்டாதீர்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! போர்முனையில் போரிட இரு அணியும் நெருங்கி நிற்கும்போது காஃபிர்களை நீங்கள் சந்தித்தால், நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்குப் புறமுதுகுகளைக் காட்டி ஓடி விடாதீர்கள்.

O you who believe, when you confront the disbelievers in battle, do not turn your backs to them.

Waman yuwallihim yawmaithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fiatin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wamawahu jahannamu wabisa almaseeru

And whoever turns his back to them on such a day – unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), – he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!

And whoever turns his back to them on such a day, unless swerving [as a strategy] for war or joining [another] company, has certainly returned with anger [upon him] from Allah, and his refuge is Hell - and wretched is the destination.

(எதிரியை) வெட்டுவதற்காகவோ அல்லது (தன்) கூட்டத்துடன் சேர்ந்து கொள்வதற்காகவோ அன்றி எவரேனும் அதுசமயம் புறங்காட்(டி ஓ)டினால் நிச்சயமாக அவன் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கோபத்திற்குள்ளாகி விடுவான். அவன் தங்குமிடம் நரகம்தான்; அது மிகக்கெட்ட தங்குமிடம்.

(எதிரிகளை) வெட்டுவதற்காகவோ அல்லது (தம்) கூட்டத்தாருடன் சேர்ந்து கொள்வதற்காகவோயன்றி, அந்நாளில் எவரேனும் தம் புறமுதுகைக் காட்டித் திரும்புவாரானால், நிச்சயமாக அவர் அல்லாஹ்வின் கோபத்திற்கு உள்ளாகி விடுவார் - அவர் தங்குமிடம் நரகமே; இன்னும் அது மிகவும் கெட்ட தங்குமிடம்.

போருக்காக(ப் பின்சென்று தாக்குவதன் நிமித்தம்) ஒதுங்கக் கூடியவரையும், அல்லது (தன்) கூட்டத்துடன் சேர்ந்து கொள்ளக்கூடியவரையும் அன்றி, எவரேனும் அது சமயம் புறமுதுகிட்டுச் சென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அவர் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கோபத்தைக் கொண்டு மீண்டு விட்டார், அவர் ஒதுங்குமிடமும் நரகமாகும், இன்னும் சென்றடையும் இடத்தில் அது மிகக் கெட்டது.

Whoever turns his back to them on such a day – unless it is for tactical reasons or joining another group – he will incur the wrath of Allah and his abode will be Hell. What a terrible destination!

Falam taqtuloohum walakinna Allaha qatalahum wama ramayta ith ramayta walakinna Allaha rama waliyubliya almumineena minhu balaan hasanan inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun

You killed them not, but Allâh killed them. And you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) threw not when you did throw, but Allâh threw, that He might test the believers by a fair trial from Him. Verily, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

And you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And you threw not, [O Muhammad], when you threw, but it was Allah who threw that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! போர் புரிந்த சமயம்) நீங்கள் அவர்களை கொன்று விடவில்லை; அல்லாஹ்தான் அவர்களை கொன்றான். (நபியே! எதிரிகளின் மீது) நீங்கள் (மண்ணை) எறிந்தபோது (அதனை நீங்கள் எறியவில்லை; அல்லாஹ்தான் (அதனை) எறிந்தான். நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை அழகான முறையில் சோதிப்பதற்காகவே (இவ்வாறு செய்தான்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், செவியுறுபவனும் மிக்க அறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(பத்ரு போரில்) எதிரிகளை வெட்டியவர்கள் நீங்கள் அல்ல - அல்லாஹ் தான் அவர்களை வெட்டினான்; (பகைவர்கள் மீது மண்ணை) நீர் எறிந்தபோது அதனை நீர் எறியவில்லை, அல்லாஹ்தான் எறிந்தான்; முஃமின்களை அழகான முறையில் சோதிப்பதற்காகவே அல்லாஹ் இவ்வாறு செய்தான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாவற்றையும்) செவி ஏற்பவனாகவும், (எல்லாம்) அறிபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(விசுவாசிகளே!) பத்ருப் போரில் எதிரிகளாகிய) அவர்களை நீங்கள் கொல்லவில்லை, எனினும், அல்லாஹ்தான் அவர்களைக் கொன்றான், (நபியே! விரோதிகளின் மீது) நீர் (மண்ணை) எறிந்தபோது (அதனை) நீர் எறியவில்லை, எனினும், அல்லாஹ்தான் (உம்மூலம் அதனை) எறிந்தான், (அதன்மூலம்) அழகான முறையில் விசுவாசிகளுக்கு அருட்கொடையை நல்குவதற்காக (இவ்வாறு அல்லாஹ் செய்தான்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியேற்கிறவன், நன்கறிகிறவன்.

It was not you who killed them, but it was Allah Who killed them; and it was not you [O Prophet] who threw when you threw [a handful of sand] but it was Allah Who threw, so that He might test the believers with a great test. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Thalikum waanna Allaha moohinu kaydi alkafireena

This (is the fact) and surely Allâh weakens the deceitful plots of the disbelievers.

That [is so], and [also] that Allah will weaken the plot of the disbelievers.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களின் சூழ்ச்சியை இழிவுபடுத்துவதற்காகவே நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இவ்வாறு செய்தான்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நிராகரிப்போரின் சூழ்ச்சியை இழிவாக்கி (சக்தியற்றதாய்) ஆக்குவதற்கும் (இவ்வாறு செய்தான்.)

(இணை வைப்பவர்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டு முஸ்லிம்கள் வெற்றியடைந்த) அது (அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்தாகும்.) இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நிராகரிப்போரின் சூழ்ச்சியை பலவீனப்படுத்தக்கூடியவன்.

As such, Allah undermines the plans of the disbelievers.

In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumu alfathu wain tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wain taAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fiatukum shayan walaw kathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almumineena

(O disbelievers) if you ask for a judgement, now has the judgement come to you; and if you cease (to do wrong), it will be better for you, and if you return (to the attack), so shall We return, and your forces will be of no avail to you, however numerous they be; and verily, Allâh is with the believers.

If you [disbelievers] seek the victory - the defeat has come to you. And if you desist [from hostilities], it is best for you; but if you return [to war], We will return, and never will you be availed by your [large] company at all, even if it should increase; and [that is] because Allah is with the believers.

(மக்காவாழ் காஃபிர்களே!) நீங்கள் வெற்றியின் மூலம் (முடிவான) தீர்ப்பைத் தேடிக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக அந்த வெற்றி உங்கள் முன் வந்துவிட்டது. (எனினும் அது உங்களுக்கல்ல; நம்பிக்கையாளர்களாகிய எங்களுக்கே! நாங்கள்தான் உங்களை வெற்றிகொண்டோம். ஆகவே, விஷமம் செய்வதிலிருந்து) இனியேனும் நீங்கள் விலகிக்கொண்டால் அது உங்களுக்கே நன்று. இனியும் நீங்கள் (விஷமம் செய்ய) முன் வரும்பட்சத்தில் நாமும் முன் வருவோம். உங்களுடைய கூட்டம் எவ்வளவு பெரிதாக இருந்தபோதிலும் (அது) உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு பலனையுமளிக்காது. ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

(நிராகரிப்பவர்களே!) நீங்கள் வெற்றி(யின் மூலம் தீர்ப்பைத்) தேடிக் கொண்டிருந்தால், நிச்சயமாக அவ்வெற்றி (முஃமின்களுக்கு) வந்து விட்டது; இனியேனும் நீங்கள் (தவறை விட்டு) விலகிக் கொண்டால் அது உங்களுக்கு நலமாக இருக்கும்; நீங்கள் மீண்டும் (போருக்கு) வந்தால் நாங்களும் வருவோம்; உங்களுடைய படை எவ்வளவு அதிகமாக இருந்தாலும், அது உங்களுக்கு எத்தகைய பலனையும் அளிக்காது. மெய்யாகவே அல்லாஹ் முஃமின்களோடு தான் இருக்கின்றான் (என்று முஃமின்களே கூறி விடுங்கள்).  

நீங்கள் தீர்ப்பைத் தேடக் கூடியவர்களாக இருந்தால் (இதோ அது பற்றிய) தீர்ப்பு உங்களிடம் திட்டமாக வந்துவிட்டது, இன்னும் நீங்கள் போர் செய்வதை விட்டும்) விலகிக்கொண்டால், அது உங்களுக்கே நன்று, இன்னும் நீங்கள் (போர் செய்யத்) திரும்பினால் (உதவியை நல்க) நாமும் திரும்புவோம், உங்களுடைய கூட்டம் (படை) அது எவ்வளவு பெரியதாக இருந்தபோதிலும் (அது) உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு பலனையும் ஒருபோதும் அளிக்காது, மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், விசுவாசிகளுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

If you [disbelievers] were seeking the decision, it has come to you. If you desist, it will be better for you, but if you return [to war], We too will return. And your forces – no matter how great in number they are – will not avail you anything, for Allah is with the believers.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu wala tawallaw AAanhu waantum tasmaAAoona

O you who believe! Obey Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and turn not away from him (i.e. Messenger Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) while you are hearing.

O you who have believed, obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn from him while you hear [his order].

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள். நீங்கள் (நம் வசனங்களை) செவியுற்ற பின் அதற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதிலிருந்து விலகாதீர்கள்.

முஃமின்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படியுங்கள்; நீங்கள் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே அவரை புறக்கணிக்காதீர்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடங்கள், நீங்கள் (அவருடைய போதனைகளைச் செவியுற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பொழுது) அவருடைய கட்டளைக்கு மாறு செய்து அவரைவிட்டும் திரும்பிவிடாதீர்கள்.

O you who believe, obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him after hearing [his command].

Wala takoonoo kaallatheena qaloo samiAAna wahum la yasmaAAoona

And be not like those who say: "We have heard," but they hear not.

And do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! மனமாற) செவியுறாது "செவியுற்றோம்" என்று (வாயால் மட்டும்) கூறியவர்களைப் போல் நீங்களும் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம்.

(மனப்பூர்வமாகச்) செவியேற்காமல் இருந்துகொண்டே, “நாங்கள் செவியுற்றோம்” என்று (நாவால் மட்டும்) சொல்கின்றவர்களைப் போன்று நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள்.

“நாங்கள் செவியுற்றோம்” என்று (வாயால் மட்டும்) கூறி (உண்மையாகச்), செவியேற்காமல் இருந்தவர்களைப்போல் நீங்களும் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம்.

And do not be like those who say, “We hear,” while they do not actually listen.

Inna sharra alddawabbi AAinda Allahi alssummu albukmu allatheena la yaAAqiloona

Verily, the worst of (moving) living creatures with Allâh are the deaf and the dumb, who understand not (i.e. the disbelievers).

Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் கால்நடைகளில் மிகக் கேவலமானவை (எவையென்றால் சத்தியத்தை) அறிந்துகொள்ள முடியாத செவிடர்களும், ஊமையர்களும்தான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் உயிர்ப்பிராணிகளில் மிக்க கேவலமானவர்கள் (உண்மையை) அறிந்து கொள்ளாச் செவிடர்களும் ஊமைகளும் தாம்.

அல்லாஹ்விடம் நிச்சயமாக (பூமியில்) ஊர்ந்து திரிபவைகளில் மிகக்கெட்டவை (உண்மையை) விளங்கிக் கொள்ளாதவர்களான செவிடர்களும் ஊமையர்களுமேயாவர்.

The worst of creatures before Allah are those that are deaf and dumb, who do not understand.

Walaw AAalima Allahu feehim khayran laasmaAAahum walaw asmaAAahum latawallaw wahum muAAridoona

Had Allâh known of any good in them, He would indeed have made them listen; and even if He had made them listen, they would but have turned away with aversion (to the truth).

Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would [still] have turned away, while they were refusing.

அவர்களிடம் யாதொரு நன்மை இருக்கிறதென்று அல்லாஹ் அறிந்திருந்தால் அவன் அவர்களை செவியுறச் செய்திருப்பான். (அவர்களிடம் யாதொரு நன்மையும் இல்லாததனால் அல்லாஹ்) அவர்களைச் செவியுறச் செய்தபோதிலும் அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்து மாறிவிடுவார்கள்.

அவர்களிடத்தில் ஏதேனும் நன்மை உண்டு என அல்லாஹ் அறிந்திருந்தால், அவன் அவர்களைச் செவியேற்குமாறு செய்திருப்பான்; (அவர்கள் இருக்கும் நிலையில்) அவன் அவர்களைச் செவியேற்கச் செய்தாலும் அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்து மாறியிருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்களிடம் ஏதேனும் நன்மை இருக்கிறதென்று அல்லாஹ் அறிந்திருந்தால், அவன் அவர்களைச் செவிமடுக்கச் செய்திருப்பான், (அவர்களிடம் யாதொரு நன்மையும் இல்லாதனால்) அவன் அவர்களைச் செவிமடுக்கச் செய்திருந்தபோதிலும் (அதனைப்)புறக்கணித்தவர்களாகவே அவர்கள் திரும்பிவிடுவார்கள்.

If Allah had known any good in them, He would have made them hear, but even if He had made them hear, they would have turned away in aversion.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo istajeeboo lillahi walilrrasooli itha daAAakum lima yuhyeekum waiAAlamoo anna Allaha yahoolu bayna almari waqalbihi waannahu ilayhi tuhsharoona

O you who believe! Answer Allâh (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allâh comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily, to Him you shall (all) be gathered.

O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! அல்லாஹ்வும், (அவனுடைய) தூதரும் உங்களுக்குப் புத்துயிர் அளிக்க உங்களை அழைத்தால் (அவர்களுடைய அழைப்புக்குப்) பதில் கூறுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதனுக்கும் அவனுடைய உள்ளங்களில் உள்ளதற்கும் இடையில் தடையேற்படுத்தி விடுகிறான் என்பதையும், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் அவனிடமே (கொண்டு வரப்பட்டு) ஒன்று சேர்க்கப் படுவீர்கள் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! அல்லாஹ்வும், அவன் தூதரும் உங்களை உங்களுக்கு உயிர் அளிக்ககூடிய காரியத்தின்பால் அழைத்தால் நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு பதிலளியுங்கள்; இன்னும், மெய்யாகவே அல்லாஹ் மனிதனுக்கும் அவன் இருதயத்திற்குமிடையேயும் ஆதிக்கம் செலுத்துகிறான் என்பதையும், அவனிடத்திலேயே நீங்கள் ஒன்று சேர்க்கப் படுவீர்கள் என்பதையும் (உறுதியாக) அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் - உங்களை வாழ வைப்பதன்பால் (அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதராகிய) அவர் உங்களை அழைத்தால் பதில் அளியுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், மனிதனுக்கும், அவனுடைய இதயத்திற்கும் மத்தியில் சூழ்ந்து (செயலாற்றிக் கொண்டு) இருக்கிறான், (ஆகவே, மனிதன் எதையும் அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளின்றி செய்யும் ஆற்றல் பெறமாட்டான்) என்பதையும், நிச்சயமாக அவனின் பாலே நீங்கள் ஒன்று திரட்டப்படுவீர்கள் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். (13)

O you who believe, respond to Allah and the Messenger when He calls you to what gives you life, and know that Allah comes between a person and his heart, and it is to Him that you will all be gathered.

Waittaqoo fitnatan la tuseebanna allatheena thalamoo minkum khassatan waiAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi

And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people), and know that Allâh is Severe in punishment.

And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty.

நீங்கள் வேதனைக்குப் பயந்துகொள்ளுங்கள். அது அநியாயக்காரர்களை மட்டுமே பிடிக்குமென்பதல்ல; (முடிவில் அது உங்களையும் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளலாம்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வேதனை செய்வதில் கடுமையானவன் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

நீங்கள் வேதனைக்கு பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; அது உங்களில் அநியாயம் செய்தவர்களை மட்டும்தான் குறிப்பாகப் பிடிக்கும் என்பதில்லை - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தண்டனை அளிப்பதில் கடுமையானவன் என்பதையும் நன்கு அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

மேலும், உங்களில் அநியாயம் செய்தோரை மட்டுமே குறிப்பாகப் பிடிக்காத வேதனையை நீங்கள் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், (அதனால் ஏற்படும் விளைவு உங்களையும் சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளலாம்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தண்டிப்பதில் மிகக் கடினமானவன் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Beware of a trial that will not only befall the wrongdoers among you, and know that Allah is severe in punishment.

Waothkuroo ith antum qaleelun mustadAAafoona fee alardi takhafoona an yatakhattafakumu alnnasu faawakum waayyadakum binasrihi warazaqakum mina alttayyibati laAAallakum tashkuroona

And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful.

And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful.

நீங்கள் பூமியில் (மக்காவில்) வலுவிழந்த வெகு குறைந்த தொகையினராக இருந்து உங்களை எம்மனிதரும் (எந்நேரத்திலும் பலவந்தமாக) திடீரென தாக்கிவிடுவார்களோ என்று நீங்கள் அஞ்சி (நடுங்கி)க் கொண்டிருந்த சமயத்தில் அவன் உங்களுக்கு (மதீனாவில்) இடமளித்துத் தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டு உங்களைப் பலப்படுத்தி நல்ல உணவுகளை உங்களுக்கு அளித்ததையும் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். (இதற்கு) நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவீர்களாக!

“நீங்கள் பூமியில் (மக்காவில்) சிறு தொகையினராகவும், பலஹீனர்களாகவும் இருந்த நிலையில், உங்களை (எந்த நேரத்திலும்) மனிதர்கள் இறாய்ஞ்சிக் கொண்டு சென்று விடுவார்கள் என்று நீங்கள் பயப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த போது அவன் உங்களுக்கு (மதீனாவில்) புகலிடம் அளித்துத் தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டு உங்களை பலப்படுத்தினான் - இன்னும் பரிசுத்தமான ஆகாரங்களையும் அவன் உங்களுக்கு அளித்தான்; இவற்றை நினைவு கூர்ந்து (அவனுக்கு) நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவீர்களாக!”

நீங்கள் (மக்காவெனும்) பூமியில் பலவீனமான மிகச் சிறுபான்மையினராக இருந்து உங்களை எம்மனிதரும், (எந்நேரத்திலும் பலவந்தமாக) இறாய்ஞ்சிக்கொண்டு சென்று விடுவார்களோ என்று நீங்கள் அஞ்சி நடுங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த சமயத்தில், அவன் உங்களுக்கு (மதீனாவில்) இடமளித்தது தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டும் உங்களைப் பலப்படுத்தி பரிசுத்தமான ஆகாரங்களை அவன் உங்களுக்கு அளித்ததையும் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள், நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவதற்காக (இவ்வாறு செய்தான்).

And remember when you were few in number and oppressed in the land, fearing that the people would snatch you away. Then He sheltered you, and strengthened you with His help, and provided you with good things, so that you may give thanks.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takhoonoo Allaha waalrrasoola watakhoonoo amanatikum waantum taAAlamoona

O you who believe! Betray not Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], nor betray knowingly your Amânât (the things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allâh has ordained for you).

O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence].

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் மோசம் செய்யாதீர்கள். தவிர, நீங்கள் (செய்வது அநியாயம் என) அறிந்துகொண்டே உங்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட அமானிதங்களுக்கு மோசம் செய்யாதீர்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் மோசம் செய்யாதீர்கள்; நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொண்டே, உங்களிடமுள்ள அமானிதப் பொருட்களிலும் மோசம் செய்யாதீர்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் மோசம் செய்யாதீர்கள், மேலும், நீங்கள் (செய்வது அக்கிரமம் என) அறிந்துகொண்டே உங்களிடம் உள்ள அமானிதங்களுக்கும் மோசம் செய்யாதீர்கள்.

O you who believe, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor betray your trusts knowingly.

WaiAAlamoo annama amwalukum waawladukum fitnatun waanna Allaha AAindahu ajrun AAatheemun

And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely, with Allâh is a mighty reward.

And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward.

அன்றி, உங்களுடைய பொருள்களும், உங்களுடைய சந்ததிகளும் (உங்களுக்குப்) பெரும் சோதனையாக இருக்கின்றன என்பதையும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில்தான் (உங்களுக்கு) மகத்தான வெகுமதி உண்டு என்பதையும் நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

“நிச்சயமாக உங்கள் செல்வமும், உங்கள் குழந்தைகளும் (உங்களுக்குச்) சோதனையாக இருக்கின்றன; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் தான் மிகவும் உயர்ந்த நற்கூலி உண்டு” என்பதை நீங்கள் நன்கு அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

“நிச்சயமாக உங்களுடைய செல்வங்களும், உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும், (உங்களுக்குச்) சோதனையாயிருக்கின்றன என்பதையும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்-அவனிடத்தில்தான் (உங்களுக்கு) மகத்தான (வெகுமதி) நற்கூலி உண்டு என்பதையும் நீங்கள் நன்கு அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Know that your wealth and your children are only a trial and that with Allah is an immense reward.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tattaqoo Allaha yajAAal lakum furqanan wayukaffir AAankum sayyiatikum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi

O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allâh, He will grant you Furqân [(a criterion to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you; and Allâh is the Owner of the Great Bounty.

O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயப்படுவீர்களாயின், அவன் உங்களுக்குக் கண்ணியத்தை அளிப்பான். மேலும், உங்கள் பாவங்களை போக்கி உங்களை மன்னித்து விடுவான். ஏனென்றால், அல்லாஹ் மிக மகத்தான அருளுடையவன்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சி நடந்து கொள்வீர்களானால் அவன் உங்களுக்கு (நன்மை தீமையைப்) பிரித்தறிந்து நடக்கக்கூடிய நேர்வழி காட்டுவான்; இன்னும் உங்களை விட்டும் உங்கள் பாவங்களைப் போக்கி உங்களை மன்னிப்பான்; ஏனெனில் அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான அருட்கொடையுடையவன்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயப்படுவீர்களாயின், அவன் உங்களுக்கு (பத்ரில் நடத்தியது போன்று தீர்க்கமான) முடிவை ஆக்குவான், உங்களை விட்டும் பாவங்களைப் போக்கி உங்களை மன்னித்தும் விடுவான், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மகத்தான பேரருளுடையவன்.

O you who believe, if you fear Allah, He will provide you with an insight to distinguish between right and wrong, absolve you of your sins and forgive you, for Allah is the Lord of great bounty.

Waith yamkuru bika allatheena kafaroo liyuthbitooka aw yaqtulooka aw yukhrijooka wayamkuroona wayamkuru Allahu waAllahu khayru almakireena

And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from your home, i.e. Makkah); they were plotting and Allâh too was planning; and Allâh is the Best of those who plan.

And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.

(நபியே!) உங்களைச் சிறைப்படுத்தவோ அல்லது உங்களைக் கொலை செய்யவோ அல்லது உங்களை (ஊரைவிட்டு) அப்புறப்படுத்தவோ நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் சூழ்ச்சி செய்துகொண்டிருந்த (நேரத்)தை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். அவர்களும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்; (அவர்களுக்கெதிராக) அல்லாஹ்வும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்தான். ஆனால், சூழ்ச்சி செய்பவர்களிலெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ் மிக மேலானவன்.

(நபியே!) உம்மைச் சிறைப்படுத்தவோ, அல்லது உம்மைக் கொலை செய்யவோ அல்லது உம்மை (ஊரைவிட்டு) வெளியேற்றிவிடவோ நிராகரிப்போர் சூழ்ச்சிசெய்ததை நினைவு கூறுவீராக; அவர்களும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்; அல்லாஹ்வும் (அவர்களுக்கு எதிராகச்) சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்தான். சூழ்ச்சி செய்வோரில் எல்லாம் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் மேன்மையுடையவன்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) நிராகரித்துக்கொண்டிருப்போர் உம்மை அவர்கள் சிறைப்படுத்தவோ, அல்லது உம்மை அவர்கள் கொலை செய்யவோ, அல்லது உம்மை அவர்கள் (ஊரை விட்டு) வெளியேற்றி விடவோ, உமக்கு விரோதமாக சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்த (நேரத்)தை (நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பீராக!) அவர்களும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர், (அவர்களுக்கெதிராக) அல்லாஹ்வும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்து கொண்டிருந்தான், இன்னும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்வோரில் அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

And [remember] when the disbelievers plotted against you, to take you as captive, kill you or expel you. They plan, and Allah also plans, but Allah is the Best of those who plan.

Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna qaloo qad samiAAna law nashao laqulna mithla hatha in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena

And when Our Verses (of the Qur'ân) are recited to them, they say: "We have heard (the Qur'ân); if we wish we can say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

And when Our verses are recited to them, they say, "We have heard. If we willed, we could say [something] like this. This is not but legends of the former peoples."

நம்முடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப் படுமானால் அதற்கவர்கள், "நிச்சயமாக நாம் (இதனை முன்னரே) செவியுற்றுள்ளோம்; நாம் விரும்பினால் இம்மாதிரியான வசனங்களை நாமும் கூறுவோம். இவை முன்னோரின் கட்டுக்கதைகளேயன்றி வேறில்லை" என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.

அவர்கள் மீது நம் வசனங்கள் ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால், அவர்கள், “நாம் நிச்சயமாக இவற்றை (முன்னரே) கேட்டிருக்கின்றோம்; நாங்கள் நாடினால் இதைப் போல் சொல்லிவிடுவோம்; இது முன்னோர்களின் கட்டுக்கதைகளேயன்றி வேறில்லை” என்று சொல்கிறார்கள்.

“நம்முடைய வசனங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்படுமானால், அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “திட்டமாக நாம், (இதனை முன்னரே) செவியுற்றுள்ளோம், நாங்கள் நாடினால், இதைப்போன்று நாங்களும் கூறிவிடுவோம், இவை முன்னோரின் கட்டுக்கதைகளேயன்றி வேறில்லை” என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.

When Our verses are recited to them, they say, “We have heard. If we wished, we could say something like this. This is nothing but ancient fables.”

Waith qaloo allahumma in kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtir AAalayna hijaratan mina alssamai awi itina biAAathabin aleemin

And (remember) when they said: "O Allâh! If this (the Qur'ân) is indeed the truth (revealed) from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment."

And [remember] when they said, "O Allah, if this should be the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky or bring us a painful punishment."

அன்றி (அந்நிராகரிப்பவர்கள்) "எங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வே! இவ்வேதம் உன்னிடமிருந்து வந்தது உண்மையானால் எங்கள்மீது வானத்திலிருந்து கல்மாரியைப் பொழி! அல்லது துன்புறுத்தும் (ஒரு) வேதனையை எங்களுக்குக் கொண்டு வா!" என்று அவர்கள் கூறியதையும் (நபியே!) நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.

(இன்னும் நிராகரிப்போர்:) “அல்லாஹ்வே! இது உன்னிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மையானால், எங்கள் மீது வானத்திலிருந்து கல் மாரி பெய்யச் செய், அல்லது எங்களுக்கு நோவினைமிக்க வேதனையை அனுப்பு!” என்று கூறினார்கள் (அதையும் நபியே! நீர் நினைவு கூறும்).

இன்னும் (நிராகரிப்போர்) “அல்லாஹ்வே! உன்னிடமிருந்து வந்த இதுவே உண்மையானால் எங்கள்மீது வானத்திலிருந்து கல் மாரியைப் பொழியச் செய்வாயாக! அல்லது துன்புறுத்தும் (ஒரு) வேதனையை எங்களுக்குக் கொண்டு வருவாயாக” என்று அவர்கள் கூறியதை-(நபியே! நீர் நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பீராக!)

And [remember] when they said, “O Allah, if this is indeed the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the heaven or bring upon us a painful punishment.”

Wama kana Allahu liyuAAaththibahum waanta feehim wama kana Allahu muAAaththibahum wahum yastaghfiroona

And Allâh would not punish them while you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allâh's) forgiveness.

But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness.

ஆனால், நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கிடையில் இருக்கும் வரையில் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்யமாட்டான். அன்றி, அவர்கள் மன்னிப்பைக் கோரிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் வரையிலும் அல்லாஹ் வேதனை செய்யமாட்டான்.

ஆனால் நீர் அவர்களிடையே இருக்கும் வரையிலும் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்ய மாட்டான்; மேலும் அவர்கள் பாவமன்னிப்பைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போதும் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்பவனாக இல்லை.

நீர் அவர்களுக்கு மத்தியிலிருக்கும் நிலையில், அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை (ஒரு போதும்) வேதனை செய்பவனாக இல்லை, இன்னும் அவர்கள் பாவமன்னிப்பைக் கோரிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையில் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்பவனாக இல்லை.

But Allah would not punish them while you [O Prophet] are among them, nor would Allah punish them as long as they seek forgiveness.

Wama lahum alla yuAAaththibahumu Allahu wahum yasuddoona AAani almasjidi alharami wama kanoo awliyaahu in awliyaohu illa almuttaqoona walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona

And why should not Allâh punish them while they hinder (men) from Al-Masjid Al-Harâm, and they are not its guardians? None can be its guardians except Al-Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2), but most of them know not.

But why should Allah not punish them while they obstruct [people] from al-Masjid al- Haram and they were not [fit to be] its guardians? Its [true] guardians are not but the righteous, but most of them do not know.

(இவ்விரு காரணங்களும் இல்லாதிருப்பின்) அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்யாமலிருப்பதற்கு என்ன (தடை)? ஏனென்றால், அவர்களோ (மக்கள்) சிறப்புற்ற (ஹரம் ஷரீஃப்) மஸ்ஜிதுக்குச் செல்வதைத் தடுக்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் அதற்கு பொறுப்பாளர்களன்று. இறை அச்சமுடையவர்களையே தவிர வேறு எவரும் அதன் பொறுப்பாளர்களாக இருக்கமுடியாது. எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் (இதனை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

(இக்காரணங்கள் இல்லாது) அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்யாமலிருக்க (வேறு காரணம்) என்ன இருக்கிறது? அவர்கள் (கஃபாவின்) காரியஸ்தர்களாக இல்லாத நிலையில் அந்த சங்கையான பள்ளிக்கு (மக்கள் செல்வதை)த் தடுக்கின்றனர்; அதன் காரியஸ்தர்கள் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களேயன்றி (வேறெவரும்) இருக்கமுடியாது; எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதனை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை வேதனை செய்யாமலிருப்பதற்கு அவர்களுக்கு வேறு (காரணம்) என்ன இருக்கிறது? அவர்களோ (புனிதப் பள்ளியான) மஸ்ஜிதுல் ஹராமை விட்டு (முஸ்லீம்களை)த் தடுக்கின்றனர், அவர்கள் அதற்குரிய காரியஸ்தர்களாகவும் இருக்கவில்லை, அதற்குரிய காரியஸ்தர்கள் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களேயன்றி (வேறெவரும்) இல்லை, எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (அதனை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

Why should Allah not punish them when they prevent [people] from the Sacred Mosque, although they are not its rightful guardians? Its rightful guardians are only those who fear Allah, but most of them do not know.

Wama kana salatuhum AAinda albayti illa mukaan watasdiyatan fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona

Their Salât (prayer) at the House (of Allâh, i.e. the Ka'bah at Makkah) was nothing but whistling and clapping of hands. Therefore taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.

And their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclapping. So taste the punishment for what you disbelieved.

அப்பள்ளியில் அவர்கள் புரியும் வணக்கமெல்லாம் சீட்டியடிப்பதும், கை தட்டுவதும் தவிர வேறில்லை! (ஆகவே மறுமையில் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "உங்கள் நிராகரிப்பின் காரணமாக (இன்றைய தினம்) வேதனையை சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள்" (என்றே கூறப்படும்.)

அப்பள்ளியில் அவர்களுடைய தொழுகையெல்லாம் சீட்டியடிப்பதும், கை தட்டுவதுமே தவிர வேறில்லை. (ஆகவே மறுமையில் அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்படும்:) “நீங்கள் நிராகரித்ததின் காரணமாக (இப்போது) வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள்” (என்று).

மேலும், (அல்லாஹ்வின்) இல்லத்தில் அவர்களின் தொழுகையெல்லாம் சீட்டியடிப்பதும், கை தட்டுவதும் தவிர வேறு (எதுவுமாக) இருக்கவில்லை, ஆகவே, “நீங்கள் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததன் காரணமாக (இன்றையத்தினம்) வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள். (என்று மறுமையில் கூறப்படும்.)

Their prayer at the Sacred House was nothing but whistling and clapping. So taste the punishment for your disbelief.

Inna allatheena kafaroo yunfiqoona amwalahum liyasuddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi fasayunfiqoonaha thumma takoonu AAalayhim hasratan thumma yughlaboona waallatheena kafaroo ila jahannama yuhsharoona

Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the path of Allâh, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve will be gathered to Hell.

Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [people] from the way of Allah. So they will spend it; then it will be for them a [source of] regret; then they will be overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be gathered.

நிச்சயமாக, நிராகரிப்பவர்களில் எவர்கள் தங்கள் பொருள்களை (மக்கள்) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழியில் செல்வதைத் தடை செய்ய செலவு செய்கின்றனரோ அவர்கள் (பின்னும்) பின்னும் இவ்வாறே செலவு செய்யும்படி நேர்ந்து, முடிவில் அது அவர்களுக்கே துக்கமாக ஏற்பட்டுவிடும்! பின்னர் அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொள்ளப்படுவார்கள். (இத்தகைய) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் (மறுமையில்) நரகத்தின் பக்கமே ஓட்டிச் செல்லப்படுவார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்பவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டும் தடுப்பதற்காக தங்கள் செல்வங்களை செலவு செய்கின்றனர்; (இவ்வாறே அவர்கள் தொடர்ந்து) அவற்றை செலவு செய்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள் - முடிவில் (அது) அவர்களுக்கே துக்கமாக அமைந்துவிடும்; பின்னர் அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொள்ளப்படுவார்கள்; (இறுதியில்) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் நரகத்தில் ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்படுவார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக, நிராகரிப்பவர்கள், தங்கள் செல்வங்களை (மனிதர்களை) அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையி(ல் செல்வதி)லிருந்து தடை செய்வதற்காக செலவு செய்கின்றனர், இனியும் அவர்கள் அதை (இவ்வாறே) செலவு செய்வர், பின்னர் (முடிவில்) அது அவர்களுக்கே துக்கமாக ஏற்பட்டுவிடும், பின்னர் அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொள்ளப்படுவார்கள், மேலும், (இத்ததைகய) நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்போர் – (மறுமையில்) நரகத்தின்பால் ஒன்று திரட்டப்படுவார்கள்.

The disbelievers spend their wealth to prevent [people] from the way of Allah. They will continue to spend it, then it will be a source of regret for them, then they will be defeated, and those who disbelieve will be gathered into Hell,

Liyameeza Allahu alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wayajAAala alkhabeetha baAAdahu AAala baAAdin fayarkumahu jameeAAan fayajAAalahu fee jahannama olaika humu alkhasiroona

In order that Allâh may distinguish the wicked (disbelievers, polytheists and doers of evil deeds) from the good (believers of Islâmic Monotheism and doers of righteous deeds), and put the wicked (disbelievers, polytheists and doers of evil deeds) one over another, heap them together and cast them into Hell. Those! it is they who are the losers.

[This is] so that Allah may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into Hell. It is those who are the losers.

அல்லாஹ் நல்லவர்களிலிருந்து கெட்டவர்களைப் பிரித்தெடுப்பதற்காகவும்; கெட்டவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவராக அடுக்கப்பட்டு ஒன்றாகக் குவிக்கப்பட்ட பின்னர் நரகத்தில் தூக்கி எறியப்படுவதற்காகவும் (இவ்வாறு செய்கிறான்.) இத்தகையவர்கள் தான் முற்றிலும் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்.

அல்லாஹ் நல்லவர்களையும் கெட்டவர்களையும் பிரிப்பதற்காகவும், கெட்டவர்கள் ஒருவர் மீது ஒருவராக அடுக்கப்பெற்று ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்பட்டபின் அவர்களை நரகத்தில் போடுவதற்காகவுமே (இவ்வாறு செய்கிறான்; எனவே) இவர்கள்தாம் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்.  

அல்லாஹ் நல்லவரிலிருந்து கெட்டவரை பிரிப்பதற்காகவும், கெட்டவரை-அவர்களில் சிலரைச் சிலரின் மீது ஆக்கி அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் குவியலாக்கிப் பின்னர், அ(க்குவியலான)தை அவன் நரகத்தில் ஆக்கி விடுவதற்காகவே-(இவ்வாறு செய்தான்.) அவர்கள்தான் நஷ்டம் அடைந்தவர்கள்.

so that Allah may separate the wicked from the good, and pile up the wicked all together and then cast them into Hell. It is they who are the losers.

Qul lillatheena kafaroo in yantahoo yughfar lahum ma qad salafa wain yaAAoodoo faqad madat sunnatu alawwaleena

Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief), their past will be forgiven. But if they return (thereto), then the examples of those (punished) before them have already preceded (as a warning).

Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them. But if they return [to hostility] - then the precedent of the former [rebellious] peoples has already taken place.

(நபியே!) நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: இனியேனும் அவர்கள் (விஷமம் செய்யாது) விலகிக் கொண்டால் (அவர்களுடைய) முந்திய குற்றங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும். (அவ்வாறின்றி விஷமம் செய்யவே) முன் வருவார்களாயின் முன் சென்(ற இவர்கள் போன்)றவர்களின் வழி ஏற்பட்டே இருக்கின்றது. (அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட கதிதான் இவர்களுக்கும் ஏற்படும்.)

நிராகரிப்போருக்கு (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்: இனியேனும் அவர்கள் (விஷமங்களை) விட்டும் விலகிக் கொள்வார்களானால், (அவர்கள்) முன்பு செய்த (குற்றங்கள்) அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும். (ஆனால் அவர்கள் முன்போலவே விஷமங்கள் செய்ய) மீண்டும் முற்படுவார்களானால், முன்சென்றவர்களுக்குச் செய்தது நிச்சயமாக நடந்தேரி இருக்கிறது. (அதுவே இவர்களுக்கும்.)

(நபியே!) நிராகரிப்போருக்கு நீர் கூறுவீராக: (இனியேனும்) அவர்கள் (விஷமம் செய்யாது) விலகிக்கொண்டால், திட்டமாக சென்றுவிட்ட (முந்திய) குற்றங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும், (அவ்வாறின்றி விஷமம் செய்யவே) மீண்டும் அவர்கள் திரும்புவார்களாயின் முன் சென்(ற இவர்கள் போன்)றோரின் வழி திட்டமாக சென்றேயிருக்கின்றது, (அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட கதி தான் இவர்களுக்கும் ஏற்படும்).

Say to those who disbelieve that if they desist, their past will be forgiven, but if they persist, then they have a precedent in those who have passed before them.

Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi faini intahaw fainna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun

And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism, i.e. worshipping others besides Allâh), and the religion (worship) will all be for Allâh Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allâh), then certainly, Allâh is All-Seer of what they do.

And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்களின்) விஷமத்தனம் முற்றிலும் நீங்கி, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய மார்க்கம் நிலைபெறும் வரையில் (மக்காவாசிகளாகிய நிராகரிக்கும்) இவர்களுடன் போர் புரியுங்கள். (விஷமம் செய்வதிலிருந்து) அவர்கள் விலகிக்கொண்டால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதை உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

(முஃமின்களே! இவர்களுடைய) விஷமங்கள் முற்றிலும் நீங்கி, (அல்லாஹ்வின்) மார்க்கம் முற்றிலும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஆகும்வரையில் அவர்களுடன் போர் புரியுங்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் (விஷமங்கள் செய்வதிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொண்டால் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதை உற்று நோக்கியவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

(விசுவாசிகளே! இந்நிராகரிப்போரின் துன்புறுத்தலெனும்) குழப்பம் ஏற்படாமல் (இருக்கவும்,) மார்க்கம் அது முற்றிலும் அல்லாஹ்விற்கு (நிலைபெற்றதாக) ஆகும் வரையிலும் (மக்காவாசிகளாகிய நிராகரிக்கும் அவர்களுடன் யுத்தம் புரியுங்கள், (விஷமம் செய்வதிலிருந்து) அவர்கள் விலகிக்கொண்டால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதைப் பார்க்கிறான்.

Fight them until there is no more persecution and the religion is entirely for Allah; but if they desist, then Allah is All-Seeing of what they do.

Wain tawallaw faiAAlamoo anna Allaha mawlakum niAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru

And if they turn away, then know that Allâh is your Maulâ (Patron, Lord, Protector and Supporter) – (what) an Excellent Maulâ, and (what) an Excellent Helper!

But if they turn away - then know that Allah is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and Excellent is the helper.

(இதற்கு) அவர்கள் மாறு செய்தால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் பாதுகாவலன் (பொறுப்பாளன்) என்பதை நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். அவன் சிறந்த பாதுகாவலன்; அவன் சிறந்த உதவியாளன்.

அவர்கள் மாறு செய்தால், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலன் என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள் - அவன் பாதுகாப்பதிலும் மிகச் சிறந்தவன்; இன்னும் உதவி செய்வதிலும் மிகவும் சிறந்தவன்.

அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்துவிட்டாலோ, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலன் என்பதை நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், பாதுகாவலனில் அவன் மிக நல்லவன், இன்னும் உதவி செய்கிறவனிலும் அவன் மிக நல்லவன்.

But if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Protector. What an excellent Protector and an excellent Helper!

WaiAAlamoo annama ghanimtum min shayin faanna lillahi khumusahu walilrrasooli walithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waibni alssabeeli in kuntum amantum biAllahi wama anzalna AAala AAabdina yawma alfurqani yawma iltaqa aljamAAani waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

And know that whatever of war-booty that you may gain, verily, one-fifth (1/5th) of it is assigned to Allâh, and to the Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and to the near relatives [of the Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])], (and also) the orphans, Al-Masâkin (the needy) and the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allâh and in that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) on the Day of Criterion (between right and wrong), the Day when the two forces met (the battle of Badr); and Allâh is Able to do all things.

And know that anything you obtain of war booty - then indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and the orphans, the needy, and the [stranded] traveler, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our Servant on the day of criterion - the day when the two armies met. And Allah, over all things, is competent.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) உங்களுக்கு போரில் கிடைத்த எந்தப் பொருளிலும் ஐந்தில் ஒரு பாகம் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும், (அவருடைய) பந்துக்களுக்கும், அநாதைகளுக்கும், ஏழைகளுக்கும், பயணிகளுக்கும் உரித்தானது. உண்மையாகவே நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருப்பதுடன், இரு படைகளும் சந்தித்து (முடிவான) தீர்ப்பளித்த (பத்ரு) நாளில் நாம் நம் அடியார் மீது இறக்கி வைத்த உதவியை அவன்தான் இறக்கி வைத்தான் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் நம்புபவர்களாக இருந்தால், உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தின் மீதும் ஆற்றலுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

(முஃமின்களே!) உங்களுக்கு(ப் போரில்) கிடைத்த வெற்றிப் பொருள்களிலிருந்து நிச்சயமாக ஐந்திலொரு பங்கு அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவன்) தூதருக்கும்; அவர்களுடைய பந்துக்களுக்கும், அநாதைகளுக்கும், ஏழைகளுக்கும், வழிப்போக்கர்களுக்கும் உரியதாகும் - மெய்யாகவே நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது ஈமான் கொண்டு, இரு படைகள் சந்தித்துத் தீர்ப்பளித்த (பத்ரு நாளில்) நாம் நம் அடியார் மீது இறக்கி வைத்த உதவியை (அல்லாஹ்வே அளித்தான் என்பதை)யும் நீங்கள் நம்புவீர்களானால் (மேல்கூறியது பற்றி) உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப் பொருட்களின் மீதும் பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

மேலும், (விசுவாசிகளே!) நீங்கள் (உறுதியாக) அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (போர் செய்து) வெற்றிப் பொருளாக அடைந்தது, எப்பொருளாயினும், அப்பொழுது நிச்சயமாக அதனுடைய ஐந்திலொரு பாகம் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும், (அவருடைய) பந்துக்களுக்கும், அநாதைகளுக்கும், ஏழைகளுக்கும், வழிப்போக்கருக்கும் உரியதாகும், அல்லாஹ்வையும் இரு படைகளையும் (பத்ரு யுத்தத்தில்) சந்தித்த தீர்ப்பு நாளில், நாம் நம் அடியார்மீது இறக்கி வைத்த (உதவியை அவன்தான் இறக்கிவைத்தான் என்ப))தையும் நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களாக இருந்தால்- (மேற்கூறிய அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளை பற்றி உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின்மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

Know that whatever spoils you obtain, one-fifth belongs to Allah and the Messenger, to his close relatives, the orphans, the needy and the [stranded] travelers – if you truly believe in Allah and in what We sent down to Our slave on the day of Criterion – the day when the two armies met [at Badr]. And Allah is Most Capable of all things.

Ith antum bialAAudwati alddunya wahum bialAAudwati alquswa waalrrakbu asfala minkum walaw tawaAAadtum laikhtalaftum fee almeeAAadi walakin liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan liyahlika man halaka AAan bayyinatin wayahya man hayya AAan bayyinatin wainna Allaha lasameeAAun AAaleemun

(And remember) when you (the Muslim army) were on the near side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on the ground lower than you. Even if you had made a mutual appointment to meet, you would certainly have failed in the appointment, but (you met) that Allâh might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), so that those who were to be destroyed (for their rejecting the Faith) might be destroyed after a clear evidence, and those who were to live (i.e. believers) might live after a clear evidence. And surely, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, and they were on the farther side, and the caravan was lower [in position] than you. If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment. But [it was] so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined - that those who perished [through disbelief] would perish upon evidence and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence; and indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

நீங்கள் ("பத்ரு" போர்க்களத்தில் மதீனாவுக்குச்) சமீபமாக உள்ள பள்ளத்தாக்கிலும், அவர்கள் (உங்களுக்கு எதிர்புறமுள்ள) தூரமான கோடியிலும், (வர்த்தகர்களாகிய) வாகனக்காரர்கள் உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்புறத்திலும் இருந்ததை நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். நீங்கள் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் (சந்திக்கும் காலத்தையும் இடத்தையும் குறிப்பிட்டு) வாக்குறுதி செய்து கொண்டிருந்த போதிலும் (நீங்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்தில் அங்கு வந்து சேர்ந்து) அவ்வாக்குறுதியை நிறைவேற்றி வைப்பதில் நீங்கள் (ஏதும்) தவறிழைத்தே இருப்பீர்கள். எனினும், அல்லாஹ் முடிவு செய்து விட்ட காரியம் நடந்தேறுவதற்காக (உங்கள் அனைவரையும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் அங்கு ஒன்று சேர்த்தான்.) அழிந்தவர்கள் தக்க ஆதாரத்துடன் அழிவதற்காகவும், (தப்பிப்) பிழைத்தவர்கள் தக்க ஆதாரத்தைக் கொண்டே தப்புவதற்காகவும் (அல்லாஹ் இவ்வாறு செய்தான்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியுறுபவனும், (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(பத்ரு போர்க்களத்தில் மதீனா பக்கம்) பள்ளத்தாக்கில் நீங்களும், (எதிரிகள்) தூரமான கோடியிலும், (குறைஷி வியாபாரிகளாகிய) வாகனக்காரர்கள் உங்கள் கீழ்ப்புறத்திலும் இருந்தீர்கள். நீங்களும் அவர்களும் (சந்திக்கும் காலம் இடம் பற்றி) வாக்குறுதி செய்திருந்த போதிலும் அதை நிறைவேற்றுவதில் நிச்சயமாகக் கருத்து வேற்றுமை கொண்டிருப்பீர்கள்; ஆனால் செய்யப்பட வேண்டிய காரியத்தை அல்லாஹ் நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காகவும், அழிந்தவர்கள் தக்க முகாந்தரத்துடன் அழிவதற்காகவும், தப்பிப் பிழைத்தவர்கள் தக்க முகாந்தரத்தைக் கொண்டே தப்பிக்கவும் (இவ்வாறு அவன் செய்தான்) - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியேற்பவனாகவும், அறிபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(“பத்ரு யுத்த களத்தில் உங்களுக்கு) சமீபமாக உள்ள பள்ளத்தாக்கில் நீங்களும், (உங்களுக்கு எதிர்ப்புறமுள்ள) தூரமான பள்ளத்தாக்கில் அவர்களும் (அபூசுஃப்யானும் அவருடன் இருந்த வர்த்தகக் கூட்டத்தினராகிய) வாகனக்காரர்கள் உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்புறத்திலும் இருந்த நேரத்தை (நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்), நீங்கள் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் (சந்திக்கும் காலத்தையும், இடத்தையும் குறிப்பிட்டு) வாக்குறுதி செய்து கொண்டுமிருந்தால் (நீங்கள் மாறுபட்டு இருந்திருப்பீர்கள், எனினும், செய்யப்பட வேண்டிய காரியத்தை அல்லாஹ் நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காகவும், (உங்கள் யாவரையும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் அங்கு ஒன்று சேர்த்தான்). அழிந்தவர்கள் தக்க முகாந்திரத்துடன் அழிவதற்காகவும், (தப்பிப்) பிழைத்தவர்கள் தக்க முகாந்திரத்தைக் கொண்டே (தப்பிப்) பிழைப்பதற்காகவும் (அல்லாஹ் இவ்வாறு செய்தான்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியேற்கிறவன், (யாவையும்) நன்கறிகிறவன்.

[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley [of Badr], and they were on the far side, and the caravan was on the lower ground beneath you. If you had made prior arrangements to encounter, you would have failed to keep that appointment. But [it happened] so that Allah might accomplish what had already been decreed, and so that those who chose to perish would perish after seeing clear evidence, and those who chose to survive would survive after seeing clear evidence. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Ith yureekahumu Allahu fee manamika qaleelan walaw arakahum katheeran lafashiltum walatanazaAAtum fee alamri walakinna Allaha sallama innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

(And remember) when Allâh showed them to you as few in your (i.e. Muhammad's) dream; if He had shown them to you as many, you would surely have been discouraged, and you would surely have disputed in making a decision. But Allâh saved (you). Certainly, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.

[Remember, O Muhammad], when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and would have disputed in the matter [of whether to fight], but Allah saved [you from that]. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

(நபியே!) உங்களுடைய கனவில் அல்லாஹ், அவர்களை (தொகையில்) குறைத்துக் காண்பித்ததையும் நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். அவர்களை (தொகையில்) அதிகப்படுத்தி உங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்திருந்தால் நீங்களும் மற்ற நம்பிக்கையாளர்களும் தைரியமிழந்து போர் செய்வதைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்குள் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டு இருப்பீர்கள். எனினும், அல்லாஹ் (உங்களை) காப்பாற்றினான். நிச்சயமாக அவன், உள்ளங்களில் உள்ளவற்றை நன்கறிந்தவன்.

(நபியே!) உம் கனவில் அவர்களை(த் தொகையில்) உமக்குக் குறைவாகக் காண்பித்ததையும், அவர்களை உமக்கு அதிகமாகக் காண்பித்திருந்தால், நீங்கள் தைரியம் இழந்து (போர் நடத்தும்) காரியத்தில் நீங்கள் (ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பிணங்கித்)தர்க்கம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்திருப்பீர்கள் என்பதையும் நினைவு கூறுவீராக! எனினும் (அப்படி நடந்துவிடாமல் உங்களை) அல்லாஹ் காப்பாற்றினான்; நிச்சயமாக அவன் உள்ளங்களில் உள்ளவற்றை அறிபவன்.

(நபியே!) உம்முடைய கனவில் அல்லாஹ் (எண்ணிக்கையில்) அவர்களைக் குறைத்துக் காண்பித்ததையும், (நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) அவர்களை (எண்ணிக்கையில்) அதிகப்படுத்தி உமக்கு காண்பித்திருந்தால், நீங்கள் தைரியமிழந்து யுத்தம் செய்வதைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்குள் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பிணங்கிக்கொண்டு இருந்திருப்பீர்கள்; எனினும், அல்லாஹ் (உங்களைப்) பாதுகாத்துவிட்டான்; நிச்சயமாக அவன் நெஞ்சங்களிலுள்ளவற்றை நன்கறிகிறவன்.

[Remember] when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few in number; if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and disputed in the matter. But Allah spared you [of that], for He is All-Knowing of what is in the hearts.

Waith yureekumoohum ithi iltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihim liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru

And (remember) when you met (the army of the disbelievers on the day of the battle of Badr), He showed them to you as few in your eyes and He made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allâh might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), and to Allâh return all matters (for decision).

And [remember] when He showed them to you, when you met, as few in your eyes, and He made you [appear] as few in their eyes so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined. And to Allah are [all] matters returned.

அவர்களும் நீங்களும் சந்தித்துக்கொண்ட சமயத்தில், அவர்களுடைய தொகையை உங்கள் கண்களுக்குக் குறைத்தும், உங்களுடைய தொகையை அவர்களுடைய கண்களுக்குக் குறைத்தும் காண்பித்ததெல்லாம், அல்லாஹ் முடிவு செய்த காரியம் நடைபெற்று (அவர்களை அழித்து)த் தீருவதற்காகத்தான் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லா காரியங்களும் சென்று முடிவடைகின்றன.

நீங்களும் அவர்களும் (போரில்) சந்தித்தபோது அவன் உங்களுடைய பார்வையில் அவர்களுடைய எண்ணிக்கையைக் குறைவாகக் காண்பித்தான்; இன்னும் உங்கள் (தொகையை) அவர்களுடைய பார்வையில் குறைவாகக் காண்பித்தான் - இவ்வாறு அவன் செய்தது, அவன் விதித்த ஒரு காரியத்தை அவன் நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காகவேயாகும் - அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் சென்று முடிவடைகின்றன.  

நீங்கள் (இரு படையினரும்) சந்தித்த சமயத்தில் அவர்க(ளுடைய எண்ணிக்கை)களை, உங்கள் கண்களுக்குக் குறைவாக அவன் காட்டியதையும், உங்க(ளுடைய எண்ணிக்கை)களை அவர்களுடைய கண்களுக்குக் குறைவாக அவன் காட்டியதையும், (நினைவு கூருங்கள்.) நடந்தேறப்பட வேண்டிய காரியத்தை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காக (அல்லாஹ் அவ்வாறு செய்தான் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்). மேலும், அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் திரும்பக் கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

And [remember] when you met, He made them appear as few in your eyes, and made you appear as few in their eyes, so that Allah may accomplish what was already decreed. And to Allah will return all matters.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetum fiatan faothbutoo waothkuroo Allaha katheeran laAAallakum tuflihoona

O you who believe! When you meet (an enemy) force, take a firm stand against them and remember the Name of Allâh much (both with tongue and mind), so that you may be successful.

O you who have believed, when you encounter a company [from the enemy forces], stand firm and remember Allah much that you may be successful.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் (போரின்போது எதிரியின்) கூட்டத்தைச் சந்தித்தால் (கலக்கமுறாது) உறுதியாக (எதிர்த்து) நின்று, அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப்பெயரை நீங்கள் அதிகமாக (உரக்க) சப்தமிட்டுக் கூறுங்கள். (அதனால்) நீங்கள் வெற்றியடைவீர்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் (போரில் எதிரியின்) கூட்டத்தாரைச் சந்திப்பீர்களாயின் உறுதியாக இருங்கள் - அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமாக தியானம் செய்யுங்கள் - நீங்கள் வெற்றியடைவீர்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் (யுத்தத்தின்போது எதிரியின்) கூட்டத்தைச் சந்தித்தால், (கலக்கமுறாது) உறுதியாக இருங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வை நீங்கள் அதிகமாக நினைவும் கூருங்கள், (அதனால்) நீங்கள் வெற்றியடைவீர்கள்.

O you who believe, when you encounter a group [in battle], stand firm and remember Allah much, so that you may triumph.

WaateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu wala tanazaAAoo fatafshaloo watathhaba reehukum waisbiroo inna Allaha maAAa alssabireena

And obey Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength departs, and be patient. Surely, Allâh is with those who are As-Sâbirûn (the patient).

And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart; and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.

அன்றி, நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் வழிப்ப(ட்)டு (உங்களுக்குள் ஒற்றுமையாயிரு)ங்கள். உங்களுக்குள் தர்க்கித்துக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள். அவ்வாறாயின், நீங்கள் தைரியத்தை இழந்து, உங்கள் சக்தி (ஆற்றல்) போய்விடும். ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (கஷ்டங்களைச் சகித்துக்கொண்டு) பொறுமையாக இருங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பொறுமையாளர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படியுங்கள் - நீங்கள் கருத்து வேறுபாடு கொள்ளாதீர்கள்; (அவ்வாறு கொண்டால்) கோழைகளாகி விடுவீர்கள்; உங்கள் பலம் குன்றிவிடும்; (துன்பங்களைச் சகித்துக் கொண்டு) நீங்கள் பொறுமையாக இருங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பொறுமையுடையவர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

அன்றியும் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடங்கள், மேலும், உங்களுக்குள் பிணங்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள், அவ்வாறாயின் நீங்கள் தைரியத்தை இழந்துவிடுவீர்கள், மேலும், உங்கள் வலிமை குன்றிவிடும், ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (துன்பங்களைச் சகித்துக் கொண்டு) பொறுமையாக இருங்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பொறுமையுடையோர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

Obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute with one another, or else you will lose courage and your strength will weaken. And be steadfast, for Allah is with those who are steadfast.

Wala takoonoo kaallatheena kharajoo min diyarihim bataran wariaa alnnasi wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waAllahu bima yaAAmaloona muheetun

And be not like those who come out of their homes boastfully and to be seen of men, and hinder (men) from the path of Allâh; and Allâh is Muhîtun (encircling and thoroughly comprehending) all that they do.

And do not be like those who came forth from their homes insolently and to be seen by people and avert [them] from the way of Allah. And Allah is encompassing of what they do.

பெருமைக்காகவும் மனிதர்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதற்காகவும் தங்கள் வீடுகளிலிருந்து (முஸ்லிம்களை எதிர்க்க "பத்ரு" போருக்குப்) புறப்பட்டும், மக்களை அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் செல்வதைத் தடை செய்துகொண்டும் இருந்தவர்களைப் போல் நீங்களும் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம். அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுடைய செயல்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றான்.

பெருமைக்காகவும், மனிதர்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதற்காகவும் தங்கள் வீடுகளிலிருந்து வெளிக்கிளம்பி (முஸ்லிம்களுக்கெதிராக பத்ரில்) மக்களை அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையை விட்டுத் தடுத்தார்களே அவர்களைப் போன்று நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள் - அவர்கள் செய்வதை அல்லாஹ் சூழ்ந்து அறிந்தவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

பெருமைக்காகவும், மனிதர்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதற்காகவும் தங்கள் வீடுகளிலிருந்தும் (முஸ்லீம்களை எதிர்க்க “பத்ரு” யுத்தத்திற்குப்) புறப்பட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையை விட்டும் (அதில் மனிதர்கள் செல்வதைத்) தடை செய்து கொண்டும் இருந்தவர்களைப் போல நீங்களும் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம், மேலும், அல்லாஹ், அவர்கள் செய்கின்றவற்றை சூழ்ந்து அறிந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றான்.

Do not be like those who came out of their homes insolently, showing off to people, and preventing others from Allah’s way, for Allah is All-Encompassing of what they do.

Waith zayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum waqala la ghaliba lakumu alyawma mina alnnasi wainnee jarun lakum falamma taraati alfiatani nakasa AAala AAaqibayhi waqala innee bareeon minkum innee ara ma la tarawna innee akhafu Allaha waAllahu shadeedu alAAiqabi

And (remember) when Shaitân (Satan) made their (evil) deeds seem fair to them and said, "No one of mankind can overcome you this day (of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am your Jar [protector, helper, neighbour (for every help)]." But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he ran away and said "Verily, I have nothing to do with you. Verily, I see what you see not. Verily, I fear Allâh for Allâh is Severe in punishment."

And [remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in penalty."

ஷைத்தான் அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை அவர்களுக்கு அழகாகக் காண்பித்து "எம்மனிதராலும் இன்று உங்களை ஜெயிக்க முடியாது; நிச்சயமாக நானும் உங்களுக்கு(ப் பக்க) துணையாக நிற்கின்றேன்" என்று கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்ததையும் (நபியே!) நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். (இவ்வாறு கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்த) அவன், இரு படைகளும் நேருக்கு நேர் சந்திக்கவே புறங்காட்டி (ஓடி) பின்சென்று "நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களைவிட்டு விலகிக் கொண்டேன். நீங்கள் பார்க்கமுடியாத ஒன்றை நான் பார்க்கின்றேன்; நிச்சயமாக நான் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயப்படுகின்றேன்; வேதனை செய்வதில் அல்லாஹ் மிகக் கடுமையானவன்" என்று கூறினான்.

ஷைத்தான் அவர்களுடைய (பாவச்)செயல்களை அவர்களுக்கு அழகாகக் காண்பித்து, “இன்று மனிதர்களில் உங்களை வெற்றி கொள்வோர் எவருமில்லை; மெய்யாக நான் உங்களுக்கு துணையாக இருக்கின்றேன்!” என்று கூறினான்; இரு படைகளும் நேருக்கு நேர் சந்தித்தபோது அவன் புறங்காட்டிப் பின்சென்று, “ மெய்யாக நான் உங்களை விட்டு விலகிக் கொண்டேன்; நீங்கள் பார்க்க முடியாததை நான் பார்க்கின்றேன்; நிச்சயமாக நான் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு பயப்படுகிறேன்; அல்லாஹ் தண்டனை கொடுப்பதில் கடினமானவன்” என்று கூறினான்.  

ஷைத்தான் அவர்களுடைய (பாவச்) செயல்களை அவர்களுக்கு அலங்கரித்துக் காண்பித்து, “இன்று மனிதர்களில் உங்களை வெற்றி கொள்வோர் எவருமில்லை, நிச்சயமாக நானும் உங்களுக்கு (ப்பக்க)த் துணையாக நிற்கின்றேன்” என்று கூறிக் கொண்டிருந்ததையும் (நபியே! நினைவு கூர்வீராக! இவ்வாறு கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்த) அவன் இரு படைகளும் நேருக்கு நேராக சந்தித்துக் கொண்டபொழுது புறமுதுகிட்டுச் சென்று, “நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களை விட்டு விலகிக் கொண்டேன், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் பார்க்காதவற்றை நான் பார்க்கின்றேன், நிச்சயமாக நான் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயப்படுகிறேன், தண்டிப்பதில் அல்லாஹ் மிக்க கடுமையானவன்” என்றும் கூறினான்.

And [remember] when Satan made their misdeeds appealing to them, and said, “No one can overcome you today, and I am your protector.” But when the two armies faced each other, he turned on his heels and said, “I have nothing to do with you, for I see what you do not see. I surely fear Allah, for Allah is severe in punishment.”

Ith yaqoolu almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun gharra haolai deenuhum waman yatawakkal AAala Allahi fainna Allaha AAazeezun hakeemun

When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was a disease (of disbelief) said: "These people (Muslims) are deceived by their religion." But whoever puts his trust in Allâh, then surely, Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

[Remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said, "Their religion has deluded those [Muslims]." But whoever relies upon Allah - then indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

(உள்ளொன்று வைத்துப் புறமொன்று பேசும்) நயவஞ்சகர் களும், உள்ளங்களில் (நிராகரிப்பு என்னும்) நோயுள்ளவர்களும், (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களைச் சுட்டிக் காண்பித்து) "இவர்களை இவர் களுடைய மார்க்கம் மயக்கிவிட்டது" என்று கூறிக்கொண்டிருந் ததையும் (நபியே!) நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். எவர் அல்லாஹ்விடமே பொறுப்பு சாட்டுகிறாரோ (அவரே வெற்றி அடைந்தவர்.) ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நயவஞ்சகர்களும் தம் இருதயங்களில் நோய் உள்ளவர்களும் (முஸ்லிம்களைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டி) “இவர்களை இவர்களுடைய மார்க்கம் மயக்கி (ஏமாற்றி) விட்டது” என்று கூறினார்கள் - அல்லாஹ்வை எவர் முற்றிலும் நம்புகிறாரோ, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (சக்தியில்) மிகைத்தவனாகவும், ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான் (என்பதில் உறுதி கொள்வார்களாக).

(வேஷதாரிகளான) முனாஃபிக்குகளும், இதயங்களில் நோயுள்ளவர்களும் (விசுவாசிகளைச் சுட்டிக் காண்பித்து) இவர்களை இவர்களுடைய மார்க்கம் மயக்கிவிட்டது” என்று கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்ததையும் (நபியே! நீர் நினைவு கூர்வீராக!) இன்னும், எவர் (தன் காரியங்களை ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது நம்பிக்கை வைக்கின்றாரோ, (அவரே வெற்றியடைந்தவர்.) ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

And [remember] when the hypocrites and those who have sickness in their hearts said, “These [believers] are deluded by their religion.” But whoever puts his trust in Allah, Allah is indeed All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Walaw tara ith yatawaffa allatheena kafaroo almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum wathooqoo AAathaba alhareeqi

And if you could see when the angels take away the souls of those who disbelieve (at death); they smite their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the punishment of the blazing Fire."

And if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved... They are striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.

மலக்குகள் நிராகரிப்பவ(ரின் உயி)ர்களைக் கைப்பற்றும் சமயத்தில், அவர்களின் முகங்களிலும் முதுகுகளிலும் அடித்து (நரகத்திற்கு ஓட்டிச் சென்று) "எரிக்கும் (நரக) வேதனையை சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள்" என்று கூறுவதை நீங்கள் பார்க்க வேண்டாமா?

மலக்குகள் நிராகரிப்போரின் உயிர்களைக் கைப்பற்றும் போது நீங்கள் பார்ப்பீர்களானால், மலக்குகள் அவர்களுடைய முகங்களிலும், முதுகுகளிலும் அடித்துக் கூறுவார்கள்: “எரிக்கும் நரக வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள்” என்று.

நிராகரிப்போ(ரின் உயி)ர்களை மலக்குகள் கைப்பற்றும் சமயத்தில் (நபியே!) நீர் பார்ப்பீராயின், (பயங்கர நிலையையே நீர் பார்ப்பீர், மலக்குகளான) அவர்கள், அவர்களின் முகங்களிலும், அவர்களின் பின்புறங்களிலும் அடிப்பார்கள், மேலும், “எரிக்கும் (நரக) வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள்” (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்).

If only you could see when the angels take the souls of the disbelievers, beating their faces and their backs, “Taste the punishment of the scorching fire!

Thalika bima qaddamat aydeekum waanna Allaha laysa bithallamin lilAAabeedi

"This is because of that which your hands have forwarded. And verily, Allâh is not unjust to His slaves."

That is for what your hands have put forth [of evil] and because Allah is not ever unjust to His servants."

(அன்றி மலக்குகள் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "முன்னர் உங்கள் கைகள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டவைகளின் காரணமாகவே இது (இவ்வேதனை உங்களுக்கு) ஏற்பட்டது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (தன்) அடியார்களில் எவரையும் ஒரு சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்வதே யில்லை" (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்.)

இதற்கு காரணம், உங்கள் கைகள் முன்னமேயே செய்தனுப்பிய (பாவச்)செயல்களேயாம் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்(தன்) அடியார்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்யமாட்டான்.

(அன்றி மலக்குகள் அவர்களிடம்) அவ்வேதனையான)து உங்கள் கைகள் (தேடி) முற்படுத்தியவைகளின் காரணத்தினாலாகும், நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் (தன்) அடியார்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்பவனாக இல்லை (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்.)

This is because of what your hands have sent forth, for Allah is never unjust to [His] slaves.”

Kadabi ali firAAawna waallatheena min qablihim kafaroo biayati Allahi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim inna Allaha qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqabi

Similar to the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and of those before them – they rejected the Ayât (proofs, verses, etc.) of Allâh, so Allâh punished them for their sins. Verily, Allâh is All-Strong, Severe in punishment.

[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and severe in penalty.

ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய மக்களின் நிலைமை, அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் நிலைமை போலவே (இவர்களுடைய நிலைமையும் இருக்கிறது.) அவர்களும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டே இருந்தனர். ஆதலால், அவர்களின் பாவங்களின் காரணமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைத் தண்டித்தான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக வலிமையானவனும், வேதனை செய்வதில் மிகக் கடினமானவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(இவர்களின் நிலையை) ஃபிர்அவ்னின் கூட்டத்தார்களுடையதாகும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்பு இருந்தவர்களுடையவும் நிலையைப் போன்றதேயாகும்; (இவர்களைப் போலவே) அவர்களும் அல்லாஹ்வின் அத்தாட்சிகளை நிராகரித்தனர்; அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பேராற்றலுடையோன், தண்டிப்பதில் கடுமையானவன்.

(நாம் தண்டிப்பதில்) “ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய கூட்டத்தார், இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் நிலைமையும் போலவே (இவர்களுடைய நிலைமையும்) இருக்கிறது, அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை நிராகரித்தனர், ஆதலால், அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டான், நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் வல்லமை மிக்கவன், தண்டிப்பதில் மிகக் கடினமானவன்.

Their case is like the people of Pharaoh and those who came before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful, Severe in Punishment.

Thalika bianna Allaha lam yaku mughayyiran niAAmatan anAAamaha AAala qawmin hatta yughayyiroo ma bianfusihim waanna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun

That is so because Allâh will never change a grace which He has bestowed on a people until they change what is in their ownselves. And verily, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

எந்த மக்களும் தங்கள் நிலைமையை மாற்றிக்கொள்ளாத வரையில் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வும் அவர்களுக்குப் புரிந்த அருளை மாற்றி விடுவதில்லை (என்றிருந்தும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் நிலையை மாற்றிக் கொண்டதனால் அவர்களுக்கு இவ்வேதனை ஏற்பட்டது.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியுறுபவனும் மிக்க அறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

“ஏனெனில், எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயமும் தன் உள்ளத்திலுள்ள (போக்குகளை) மாற்றிக் கொள்ளாத வரையில், அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கிய அருட்கொடைகளை மாற்றிவிடுவதில்லை - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாவற்றையும்) செவியுறுபவனாகவும், (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அவ்வாறு தண்டிப்பது நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எந்த ஒரு அருட்கொடையையும்-ஒரு சமூகத்தார் மீது அவன் அருட் செய்தானே அதை (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துதல், அவனுக்குக் கீழ்படிந்து நடத்தல், போன்ற) தங்களுக்குள்ள நிலைகளை அ(ச்சமூகத்த)வர்கள் மாற்றிக்கொள்ளாத வரையில் அவன் மாற்றுபவனாக இல்லை என்ற காரணத்தினாலாகும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியேற்கிறவன், நன்கறிகிறவன்.

This is because Allah would never change the blessings He has bestowed upon a people until they change their own attitude and conduct. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Kadabi ali firAAawna waallatheena min qablihim kaththaboo biayati rabbihim faahlaknahum bithunoobihim waaghraqna ala firAAawna wakullun kanoo thalimeena

Similar to the behaviour of the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before them. They denied the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) for they were all Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers).

[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers.

(ஆகவே, இவர்களின் நிலைமை நாம் முன்பு கூறியபடி) ஃபிர்அவ்னின் மக்களின் நிலைமையைப் போலும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் நிலைமையைப் போலுமே இருக்கின்றது. (அவர்களும் இவர்களைப் போலவே) தங்கள் இறைவனின் அத்தாட்சிகளைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக நாம் (பலவகை வேதனைகளைக் கொண்டு ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்கு முன்னிருந்த) அவர்களை அழித்துவிட்டதுடன் ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய மக்களையும் நாம் மூழ்கடித்து விட்டோம். இவர்கள் அனைவரும் அநியாயக் காரர்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

ஃபிர்அவ்னின் கூட்டத்தார்களுடையவும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்பு இருந்தவர்களுடையவும் நிலைமையைப் போன்றதேயாகும்; அவர்களும் (இவர்களைப் போலவே தம்) இறைவனின் வசனங்களைப் பொய்ப்பித்தார்கள் - ஆகவே நாம் அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக அழித்தோம்; இன்னும் ஃபிர்அவ்னின் கூட்டத்தாரை மூழ்கடித்தோம் - அவர்கள் அனைவரும் அநியாயக்காரர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.

“ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய கூட்டத்தார், இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் நிலைமையைப் போலவே (இவர்களின் நிலைமையும் இருக்கின்றது, அவர்களும், (இவர்களைப்போலவே) தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் அத்தாட்சிகளைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர், ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக நாம் (பலவகை வேதனைகளைக் கொண்டு ஃபிர் அவ்னுக்கு முன்னிருந்த அவர்களை) அழித்துவிட்டோம், மேலும், ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய கூட்டத்தினரை நாம் (தண்ணீரில்) மூழ்கடித்து விட்டோம், இவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவருமே அநியாயக்காரர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

Their case is like the people of Pharaoh and those who came before them. They rejected the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins and drowned the people of Pharaoh; they were all wrongdoers.

Inna sharra alddawabbi AAinda Allahi allatheena kafaroo fahum la yuminoona

Verily, the worst of moving (living) creatures before Allâh are those who disbelieve, – so they shall not believe.

Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe -

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மிருகங்களிலெல்லாம் மிகக் கெட்ட மிருகங்கள் (எவையென்றால்) நிராகரிப்பாளர்கள்தான். ஆகவே, அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் உயிரினங்களில் மிகவும் கெட்டவர்கள், நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் தாம் - அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் நிச்சயமாக (பூமியில்) ஊர்ந்து திரிபவைகளில் மிகக் கெட்டவை நிராகரித்தார்களே அவர்கள்தாம், ஆகவே, அவர்கள் விசுவாசங்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.

The worst of moving creatures before Allah are those who persist in disbelief, so they do not believe,

Allatheena AAahadta minhum thumma yanqudoona AAahdahum fee kulli marratin wahum la yattaqoona

They are those with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time and they do not fear Allâh.

The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah.

இவர்களில் எவர்களுடன் நீங்கள் உடன்படிக்கை செய்தபோதிலும் அந்த உடன்படிக்கையை ஒவ்வொரு முறையிலும் முறித்தே வருகின்றனர். அவர்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயப்படுவதே யில்லை.

(நபியே!) இவர்களில் நீர் எவருடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்து கொண்டாலும், ஒவ்வொரு தடவையும் அவர்கள் தம் உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்தே வருகின்றனர்; அவர்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) அஞ்சுவதேயில்லை.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், அவர்களில் (உள்ளோருடன்) நீர் உடன்படிக்கை செய்து கொண்டீர்; (அத்தகையோர் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மிகக் கெட்டவர்களாவர்) பின்னர், அவர்களின் உடன்படிக்கையை ஒவ்வொரு தடவையும் அவர்கள் முறித்து விடுகின்றனர், அவர்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயப்படுவதுமில்லை.

those with whom you [O Prophet] made a treaty, but they break their treaty every time, and they do not fear Allah.

Faimma tathqafannahum fee alharbi fasharrid bihim man khalfahum laAAallahum yaththakkaroona

So if you gain the mastery over them in war, punish them severely in order to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may learn a lesson.

So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded.

போரில் நீங்கள் அவர்களைச் சந்தித்தால் அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னிருப்பவர்களும் (திடுக்கிட்டு) பயந்தோடும்படி அவர்களை சிதறடித்து விடுங்கள். (இதனால்) அவர்கள் அறிவு பெறலாம்.

எனவே போரில் நீர் அவர்கள்மீது வாய்ப்பைப் பெற்று விட்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால் உள்ளவர்களும் பயந்தோடும்படி சிதறடித்து விடுவீராக - இதனால் அவர்கள் நல்லறிவு பெறட்டும்.

ஆகவே, யுத்தத்தில் நீங்கள் அவர்களை(த்தாக்கும் வாய்ப்பை)ப் பெற்றுவிட்டால், அவர்களைக் கொலை செய்வது கொண்டு, சிறை பிடிப்பது கொண்டு பின்னிருப்பவர்களை (பயந்தோடுமாறு) சிதறடித்து விடுவீராக! (இதனால்) அவர்கள் படிப்பினை பெறலாம்.

If you encounter them in battle, make a fearsome example of them for those who are behind them, so that they may be deterred.

Waimma takhafanna min qawmin khiyanatan fainbith ilayhim AAala sawain inna Allaha la yuhibbu alkhaineena

If you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) fear treachery from any people throw back (their covenant) to them (so as to be) on equal terms (that there will be no more covenant between you and them). Certainly Allâh likes not the treacherous.

If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors.

(உங்களுடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருக்கும்) எந்த வகுப்பினரும் துரோகம் செய்வார்களென நீங்கள் பயந்தால், அதற்குச் சமமாகவே (அவ்வுடன்படிக்கையை) அவர்களிடம் எறிந்துவிடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், துரோகிகளை நேசிப்பதேயில்லை.

(உம்முடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருக்கும்) எந்தக் கூட்டத்தாரும் மோசம் செய்வார்கள் என நீர் பயந்தால். (அதற்குச்) சமமாகவே (அவ்வுடன் படிக்கையை) அவர்களிடம் எறிந்துவிடும்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மோசம் செய்பவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.  

மேலும், ஏதாவது ஒரு கூட்டத்தினரிடமிருந்து துரோகத்தை நீர் பயந்தால், (அதற்குச்) சமமாக(வே அவ்வுடன்படிக்கையை) அவர்கள்பால் எறிந்துவிடும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் துரோகம் செய்வோரை நேசிக்கமாட்டான்.

If you fear betrayal from any people, throw their treaty back at them openly, for Allah does not like the treacherous.

Wala yahsabanna allatheena kafaroo sabaqoo innahum la yuAAjizoona

And let not those who disbelieve think that they can outstrip (escape from the punishment). Verily, they will never be able to save themselves (from Allâh's punishment).

And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah].

நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் தாங்கள் தப்பித்துக் கொண்டதாக ஒருபோதும் எண்ண வேண்டாம். நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (நம்மைத்) தோற்கடிக்க முடியாது.

நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் தாங்கள் (தண்டனையிலிருந்து) தப்பித்துக் கொண்டதாக எண்ணவேண்டாம்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (இறையச்சமுடையோரைத்) தோற்கடிக்கவே முடியாது.

நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்போர் (நம் தண்டனையிலிருந்து) தாங்கள் தப்பித்துவிட்டதாக அவர்கள் எண்ணவும் வேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (நம்மை எதிலும்) இயலாமையில் ஆக்கிவிட மாட்டார்கள்.

The disbelievers should not think that they are unreachable; they cannot escape.

WaaAAiddoo lahum ma istataAAtum min quwwatin wamin ribati alkhayli turhiboona bihi AAaduwwa Allahi waAAaduwwakum waakhareena min doonihim la taAAlamoonahumu Allahu yaAAlamuhum wama tunfiqoo min shayin fee sabeeli Allahi yuwaffa ilaykum waantum la tuthlamoona

And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery) to threaten thereby the enemy of Allâh and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you may not know, (but) whom Allâh does know. And whatever you shall spend in the Cause of Allâh, shall be repaid to you, and you shall not be treated unjustly.

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

அவர்களை எதிர்ப்பதற்காக (ஆயுத) பலத்தையும், லாயத்தில் (திறமையான) குதிரைகளையும், உங்களுக்கு சாத்தியமான அளவு நீங்கள் (எந்நேரமும்) தயார்படுத்தி வையுங்கள். இதனால் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய எதிரிகளையும், உங்களுடைய எதிரிகளையும் நீங்கள் பயப்படச் செய்யலாம். இவர்களன்றி (எதிரிகளில்) வேறு சிலர் இருக்கின்றனர். அவர்களை நீங்கள் அறியமாட்டீர்கள். அல்லாஹ்தான் அறிவான். (இதனால் அவர்களையும் நீங்கள் திடுக்கிடச் செய்யலாம். இதற்காக) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் நீங்கள் எதைச் செலவு செய்தபோதிலும் (அதன் கூலியை) உங்களுக்கு முழுமையாகவே அளிக்கப்படும்; (அதில்) ஒரு சிறிதும் (குறைவு செய்து) நீங்கள் அநீதி இழைக்கப்படமாட்டீர்கள்.

அவர் (நிராகரிப்பவர்)களை எதிர்ப்பதற்காக உங்களால் இயன்ற அளவு பலத்தையும், திறமையான போர்க் குதிரைகளையும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; இதனால் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் எதிரியையும், உங்களுடைய எதிரியையும் அச்சமடையச் செய்யலாம்; அவர்கள் அல்லாத வேறு சிலரையும் (நீங்கள் அச்சமடையச் செய்யலாம்); அவர்களை நீங்கள் அறிய மாட்டீர்கள் - அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை அறிவான்; அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழியில் நீங்கள் எதைச் செலவு செய்தாலும், (அதற்கான நற்கூலி) உங்களுக்கு பூரணமாகவே வழங்கப்படும்; (அதில்) உங்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறிதும் அநீதம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது.

மேலும், அவர்களுக்காக (அவர்களோடு போர் செய்வதற்காக) உங்களுக்கு பலத்தால் சாத்தியமானதையும், (திறமையான) போர்க் குதிரைகளைக் கட்டி வைப்பதையும் நீங்கள் (எந்நேரமும் தயார் செய்து வையுங்கள், இதனால், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய விரோதியையும், உங்களுடைய விரோதியையும் இவர்களல்லாத மற்றவர்களையும் பயப்படச் செய்வீர்கள், அவர்களை நீங்கள் அறியமாட்டீர்கள், அல்லாலாஹ்தான் அவர்களை அறிவான், (இதற்காக) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் நீங்கள் எதைச் செலவு செய்தபோதிலும் அதன் கூலியை உங்களுக்குப் பூரணமாகவே வழங்கப்படும், (அதில் ஒரு சிறிதும்) நீங்கள் அநீதி இழைக்கப்படவுமாட்டீர்கள்.

Prepare against them whatever force you can and cavalry, to deter Allah’s enemies and your enemies, and others besides them whom you do not know, but Allah knows them. Whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged.

Wain janahoo lilssalmi faijnah laha watawakkal AAala Allahi innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu

But if they incline to peace, you (also) incline to it, and (put your) trust in Allâh. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing.

அவர்கள் சமாதானத்திற்கு இணங்கிவந்தால், நீங்களும் அதன் பக்கம் இணங்கி வாருங்கள். அல்லாஹ்விடமே பொறுப்பு சாட்டுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அவன் செவியுறுபவனும், (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அவர்கள் சமாதானத்தின் பக்கம் சாய்ந்து (இணங்கி) வந்தால், நீங்களும் அதன் பக்கம் சாய்வீராக! அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதே உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை வைப்பீராக - நிச்சயமாக அவன் (எல்லாவற்றையும்) செவியுறுவோனாகவும், நன்கறிபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அன்றியும் அவர்கள் சமாதானத்தின்பக்கம் சாய்ந்தால் அப்பொழுது நபியே! நீரும் அதன் பக்கம் சாய்வீராக! அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதே (காரியங்களை ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) நம்பிக்கையும் வைப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக அவனே செவியுறுவோன், (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிந்தோன்.

If they incline to peace, then incline to it, and put your trust in Allah, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Wain yureedoo an yakhdaAAooka fainna hasbaka Allahu huwa allathee ayyadaka binasrihi wabialmumineena

And if they intend to deceive you, then verily, Allâh is All-Sufficient for you. He it is Who has supported you with His Help and with the believers.

But if they intend to deceive you - then sufficient for you is Allah. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு சதி செய்யக் கருதினால் (உங்களை பாதுகாக்க) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குப் போதுமானவனாக இருக்கின்றான். அவன்தான் உங்களை தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டும் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களைக் கொண்டும் பலப்படுத்தினான்.

அவர்கள் உம்மை ஏமாற்ற எண்ணினால் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உமக்குப் போதுமானவன் - அவன் தான் உம்மைத் தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டும், முஃமின்களைக் கொண்டும் பலப்படுத்தினான்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) அவர்கள் ஏமாற்றி உமக்குச் சதி செய்யக் கருதினால் அப்பொழுது (உம்மைப் பாதுகாக்க) நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் உமக்குப் போதுமானவன், அவன் தான் உம்மைத் தன் உதவியைக் கொண்டும், விசுவாசிகளைக் கொண்டும் பலப்படுத்தினான்.

But if they intend to deceive you, then Allah is sufficient for you; it is He Who supported you with His help and with that of the believers.

Waallafa bayna quloobihim law anfaqta ma fee alardi jameeAAan ma allafta bayna quloobihim walakinna Allaha allafa baynahum innahu AAazeezun hakeemun

And He has united their (i.e. believers') hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allâh has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.

அந்த நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் (இஸ்லாமின் மூலம்) அன்பையூட்டி (சிதறிக்கிடந்த அவர்களை) ஒன்று சேர்த்தான். பூமியிலுள்ள அனைத்தையும் நீங்கள் செலவு செய்தபோதிலும் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் அன்பையூட்ட உங்களால் முடியாது. எனினும், அல்லாஹ்தான் அவர்களை அன்பின் மூலம் ஒன்று சேர்த்தான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) மிகைத்தவனும், ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், (முஃமின்களாகிய) அவர்கள் உள்ளங்களுக்கிடையில் (அன்பின்) பிணைப்பை உண்டாக்கினான்; பூமியிலுள்ள (செல்வங்கள்) அனைத்தையும் நீர் செலவு செய்த போதிலும், அவர்கள் உள்ளங்களுக்கிடையே அத்தகைய (அன்பின்) பிணைப்பை உண்டாக்கியிருக்க முடியாது - ஆனால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களிடையே அப்பிணைப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளான்; மெய்யாகவே அவன் மிகைத்தவனாகவும், ஞானமுள்ளவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், (விசுவாசிகளாகிய) அவர்களுடைய இதயங்களுக்கிடையில் (சிதறிக்கிடந்த அவர்களை இஸ்லாத்தின் மூலம்) அன்பையூட்டினான், பூமியிலுள்ள யாவையும் நீர் செலவு செய்தபோதிலும் அவர்களுடைய இதயங்களில் அன்பையூட்ட உம்மால் முடிந்திருக்காது, எனினும், அல்லாஹ்தான் அவர்களுக்கிடையில் அன்பை உண்டாக்கினான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

He brought their hearts together, even if you had spent all that is on earth, you could not have brought their hearts together, but Allah has brought them together, for He is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu hasbuka Allahu wamani ittabaAAaka mina almumineena

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Allâh is Sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you.

O Prophet, sufficient for you is Allah and for whoever follows you of the believers.

நபியே! அல்லாஹ்வும், நம்பிக்கையாளர்களில் உங்களைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களுமே உங்களுக்குப் போதுமானவர்கள்.

நபியே! உமக்கும், முஃமின்களில் உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவோருக்கும் அல்லாஹ்வே போதுமானவன்.

நபியே! உமக்கும் உம்மைப் பின்பற்றிய விசுவாசிகளுக்கும் அல்லாஹ் போதுமானவன்.(14)

O Prophet, Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu harridi almumineena AAala alqitali in yakun minkum AAishroona sabiroona yaghliboo miatayni wain yakun minkum miatun yaghliboo alfan mina allatheena kafaroo biannahum qawmun la yafqahoona

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a people who do not understand.

O Prophet, urge the believers to battle. If there are among you twenty [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you one hundred [who are] steadfast, they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved because they are a people who do not understand.

(அன்றி) நபியே! நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை போருக்குத் (தயாராகும் படித்) தூண்டுங்கள். உங்களில் பொறுமையும், சகிப்புத்தன்மையும் உடைய இருபது பேர்கள் இருந்தால் இருநூறு பேர்களை வெற்றி கொள்வார்கள். உங்களில் (அத்தகைய) நூறு பேர்கள் இருந்தால் நிராகரிப்பவர்களில் ஆயிரம் பேரை வெற்றி கொள்வார்கள். (நீங்கள் மிகக் குறைவாக இருந்தும் அவர்களை துணிவுடன் எதிர்க்கலாம் என்று கூறியது, உங்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் புரியும் உதவியை). நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அறியாத மக்களாக இருப்பதுதான் இதற்குக் காரணமாகும்.

நபியே! நீர் முஃமின்களை போருக்கு ஆர்வ மூட்டுவீராக; உங்களில் பொறுமையுடையவர்கள் இருபது பேர் இருந்தால், இருநூறு பேர்களை வெற்றி கொள்வார்கள். இன்னும் உங்களில் நூறு பேர் இருந்தால் அவர்கள் காஃபிர்களில் ஆயிரம் பேரை வெற்றி கொள்வார்கள்; ஏனெனில் (முஃமின்களை எதிர்ப்போர்) நிச்சயமாக அறிவில்லாத மக்களாக இருப்பது தான் (காரணம்).

நபியே! நீர், விசுவாசிகளை யுத்தத்திற்குத் (தயாராகும்படி) தூண்டுவீராக! உங்களில் (சகிப்புத்,தன்மையும், உறுதியும் கொண்ட) பொறுமையாளர்களான இருபது பேர்களிருந்தால், இருநூறு பேர்களை வெற்றி கொண்டு விடுவார்கள், உங்களில் (அத்தகைய) நூறு பேர்களிருந்தால், நிராகரிப்போரில் ஆயிரம்பேரை வெற்றிக்கொண்டு விடுவார்கள், நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள், விளங்கிக் கொள்ளாத கூட்டத்தினராக இருப்பதுதான் இதற்குக் காரணமாகும்.

O Prophet, urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast among you, they will overcome two hundred; and if there are a hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand of the disbelievers, for they are a people who do not understand.

Alana khaffafa Allahu AAankum waAAalima anna feekum daAAfan fain yakun minkum miatun sabiratun yaghliboo miatayni wain yakun minkum alfun yaghliboo alfayni biithni Allahi waAllahu maAAa alssabireena

Now Allâh has lightened your (task), for He knows that there is weakness in you. So, if there are of you a hundred steadfast persons, they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a thousand of you, they shall overcome two thousand with the Leave of Allâh. And Allâh is with As-Sâbirûn (the patient).

Now, Allah has lightened [the hardship] for you, and He knows that among you is weakness. So if there are from you one hundred [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you a thousand, they will overcome two thousand by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the steadfast.

எனினும், நிச்சயமாக உங்களில் பலவீனம் இருக்கின்றதுஎன்பதை அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்து கொண்டு தற்சமயம் (அதனை) உங்களுக்கு இலகுவாக்கி விட்டான். ஆகவே, உங்களில் பொறுமையும், சகிப்புத் தன்மையும் உடைய நூறு பேர்களிருந்தால் (மற்ற) இருநூறு பேர்களை வென்றுவிடுவார்கள். (இத்தகைய) ஆயிரம் பேர் உங்களில் இருந்தால் அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவி கொண்டு (மற்ற) இரண்டாயிரம் பேர்களை வென்று விடுவார்கள். அல்லாஹ் சகிப்பும், பொறுமையுடையவர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக உங்களில் பலவீனம் இருக்கின்றது என்பதை அறிந்து, தற்சமயம் அல்லாஹ் (அதனை) உங்களுக்கு இலகுவாக்கி விட்டான் - எனவே உங்களில் பொறுமையும் (சகிப்புத் தன்மையும்) உடைய நூறு பேர் இருந்தால் அவர்கள் இருநூறு பேர் மீது வெற்றிக் கொள்வார்கள்; உங்களில் (இத்ததையோர்) ஆயிரம் பேர் இருந்தால் அல்லாஹ்வின் உத்திரவு கொண்டு அவர்களில் இரண்டாயிரம் பேர் மீது வெற்றிக் கொள்வார்கள் - (ஏனெனில்) அல்லாஹ் பொறுமையாளர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக உங்களில் பலவீனம் இருக்கிறது என்பதை அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்து கொண்டு - இப்பொழுது (அதனை) உங்களுக்கு இலேசாக்கி விட்டான், ஆகவே – உங்களில் (சகிப்புத் தன்மையும்- உறுதியும் கொண்ட) பொறுமையுடைய நூறு பேர்களிருந்தால், (மற்ற) இரு நூறு பேர்களை அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொண்டு விடுவார்கள், (இத்தகைய) ஆயிரம் பேர் உங்களில் இருந்தால் அல்லாஹ்வின் உத்தரவு கொண்டு (மற்ற) இரண்டாயிரம் பேர்களை அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொண்டு விடுவார்கள். அல்லாஹ்வோ பொறுமையாளர்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான்.

Now Allah has lightened your burden, for He knew that there is weakness in you. So if there are a hundred steadfast men among you, they will overcome two hundred; and if there are a thousand, they will overcome two thousand, by Allah’s permission. And Allah is with those who are steadfast.

Ma kana linabiyyin an yakoona lahu asra hatta yuthkhina fee alardi tureedoona AAarada alddunya waAllahu yureedu alakhirata waAllahu AAazeezun hakeemun

It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

It is not for a prophet to have captives [of war] until he inflicts a massacre [upon Allah 's enemies] in the land. Some Muslims desire the commodities of this world, but Allah desires [for you] the Hereafter. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

(இஸ்லாமையும் முஸ்லிம்களையும் அழித்தொழிக்க வந்த) எதிரிகளை கொன்று குவிக்கும் வரை அவர்களை கைதியாக்குவது இறைத்தூதருக்கு ஆகுமானதல்ல. நீங்கள் இவ்வுலகப் பொருளை விரும்புகின்றீர்கள். அல்லாஹ்வோ (உங்களுக்கு) மறுமை வாழ்க்கையை விரும்புகின்றான். அல்லாஹ் மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(விஷமங்கள் அடங்க) பூமியில் இரத்தத்தை ஓட்டாத வரையில் (விரோதிகளை உயிருடன்) சிறைபிடிப்பது எந்த நபிக்கும் தகுதியில்லை; நீங்கள் இவ்வுலகத்தின் (நிலையில்லா) பொருள்களை விரும்புகிறீர்கள். அல்லாஹ்வோ மறுமையில் (உங்கள் நலத்தை) நாடுகிறான். அல்லாஹ் (ஆற்றலில்) மிகைத்தோனும், ஞானமுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

எந்த நபிக்கும் இரத்தத்தைப் பூமியில் ஓட்டாத வரையில் போர்க்கைதிகள் அவருக்கு இருப்பது தகுமானதல்ல; நீங்கள் இவ்வுலகப் பொருளை நாடுகின்றீர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வோ (உங்களுடைய) மறுமை (வாழ்க்கை)யை நாடுகின்றான், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் மிகைத்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

It is not befitting for a prophet to take captives until he thoroughly subdues [the enemy] in the land. You desire the gains of this world, but Allah desires [for you] the Hereafter. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Lawla kitabun mina Allahi sabaqa lamassakum feema akhathtum AAathabun AAatheemun

Were it not a previous ordainment from Allâh, a severe torment would have touched you for what you took.

If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment.

அல்லாஹ்விடம் (உங்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பு) ஏற்கனவே உறுதி செய்யப்படாமலிருப்பின் நீங்கள் (பத்ரு போரில் கைதிகளிடமிருந்து பிணைத் தொகையை) வாங்கியதில் மகத்தானதொரு வேதனை உங்களைப் பிடித்திருக்கும்.

அல்லாஹ்விடம் (உங்களுடைய மன்னிப்பு) ஏற்கனவே எழுதப்படாமலிருந்தால் நீங்கள் (போர்க் கைதிகளிடம் பத்ரில் ஈட்டுப் பணத்தை) எடுத்துக் கொண்டதன் காரணமாக உங்களை ஒரு பெரிய வேதனை பிடித்திருக்கும்.

அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து ஓர் எழுத்து முந்தி விடாதிருப்பின், நீங்கள், (பத்ருப்போரின் போது ஈட்டுப் பணத்தை) எடுத்துக்கொண்டதில் மகத்தானதொரு வேதனை உங்களைப் பிடித்திருக்கும்.

Were it not for a prior decree from Allah, you would have surely been afflicted with a great punishment for what you have taken [of ransom].

Fakuloo mimma ghanimtum halalan tayyiban waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

So enjoy what you have gotten of booty in war, lawful and good, and be afraid of Allâh. Certainly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

So consume what you have taken of war booty [as being] lawful and good, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

ஆகவே, (எதிரிகளிடமிருந்து) உங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த வைகளை, நல்ல ஆகுமான பொருள்களாகவே (கருதிப்) புசியுங்கள். (இனி இத்தகைய விஷயங்களில்) அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து (நடந்து) கொள்ளுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவனும், கிருபை செய்பவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

ஆகவே, எதிரிகளிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்குப் போரில் கிடைத்த பொருள்களை தூய்மையான - ஹலாலானவையாகக் கருதி புசியுங்கள்; அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே அஞ்சுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்போனாகவும், கிருபையுடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.  

ஆகவே, போரில் நீங்கள் அடைந்த வெற்றிப்பொருளிலிருந்து (அதை) ஆகுமானதாக, நல்லதாக(ப்) புசியுங்கள், மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து (நடந்து) கொள்ளுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க நன்கறிகிறவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்.

So enjoy what you have gained in war, for it is lawful and good, but fear Allah. Allah is indeed All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu qul liman fee aydeekum mina alasra in yaAAlami Allahu fee quloobikum khayran yutikum khayran mimma okhitha minkum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Say to the captives that are in your hands: "If Allâh knows any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

O Prophet, say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If Allah knows [any] good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

நபியே! உங்களிடம் சிறைப்பட்டிருப்பவர்களை நோக்கிக் கூறுங்கள்: "உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் நல்லெண்ணம் இருப்பதை அல்லாஹ் அறிந்தால் உங்களிடமிருந்து எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப் பட்டவைகளைவிட மிக்க மேலானவைகளை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து உங்களுடைய குற்றங்களை (அவன்) மன்னித்து விடுவான். ஏனென்றால், அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவனும், நிகரற்ற அன்புடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்."

நபியே! உங்கள் வசத்தில் இருக்கும் கைதிகளை நோக்கிக் கூறுவீராக: “உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் ஏதாவது ஒரு நன்மை இருப்பதாக அல்லாஹ் அறிந்தால், உங்களிடமிருந்து (ஈட்டுத்தொகையாக) எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்பட்டதைவிட (இவ்வுலகில்) மேலானதை உங்களுக்கு அவன் கொடுப்பான்; (மறுமையில்) உங்கள் பாவங்களையும் மன்னிப்பான் - அல்லாஹ் மன்னிப்போனாகவும், கிருபை உடையோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நபியே! உங்கள் கைகளின் வசத்தில் இருக்கும் கைதிகளிடம் கூறுவீராக! “உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் ஏதேனும் நன்மை இருப்பதை அல்லாஹ் அறிந்தால், உங்களிடமிருந்து (ஈட்டுத்தொகையாக) எடுக்கப்பட்டதைவிட மிக சிறந்ததை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பான், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ், மிக்க மன்னிக்கிறவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்.

O Prophet, tell those captives who are in your custody, “If Allah knows of any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and will forgive you, for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Wain yureedoo khiyanataka faqad khanoo Allaha min qablu faamkana minhum waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun

But if they intend to betray you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), they indeed betrayed Allâh before. So, He gave (you) power over them. And Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise.

But if they intend to betray you - then they have already betrayed Allah before, and He empowered [you] over them. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு சதி செய்யக் கருதினால் (அதைப்பற்றி நீங்கள் கவலைப்படாதீர்கள்.) இதற்கு முன்னர் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் சதி செய்யக் கருதினார்கள். ஆதலால்தான் அவர்களைச் சிறைப்படுத்த (உங்களுக்கு) வசதியளித்தான். அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) மிக அறிந்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உமக்கு மோசம் செய்ய நாடினால் (கவலைப்படாதீர்); இதற்கு முன்னர் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே மோசம் செய்யக் கருதினார்கள்; (ஆதலால் தான் அவர்களைச் சிறை பிடிக்க) அவர்கள் மீது உமக்கு சக்தியை அவன் அளித்தான். அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாம்) அறிபவனாகவும், ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உமக்கு மோசம் செய்ய நாடினால் (அதற்காக நீர் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம்.) இதற்கு முன்னரும் அவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மோசம் செய்திருக்கிறார்கள், ஆதலால்தான், அவர்களிலிருந்து(ச் சிறைப்படுத்த உமக்கு) அவன் சக்தி அளித்தான், அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) மிக்க அறிந்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

But if they intend to betray you, they have already betrayed Allah before, so He empowered you over them. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Inna allatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo biamwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena awaw wanasaroo olaika baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin waallatheena amanoo walam yuhajiroo ma lakum min walayatihim min shayin hatta yuhajiroo waini istansarookum fee alddeeni faAAalaykumu alnnasru illa AAala qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun

Verily, those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard and fought with their property and their lives in the Cause of Allâh as well as those who gave (them) asylum and help, – these are (all) allies to one another. And as to those who believed but did not emigrate (to you O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), you owe no duty of protection to them until they emigrate, but if they seek your help in religion, it is your duty to help them except against a people with whom you have a treaty of mutual alliance; and Allâh is the All-Seer of what you do.

Indeed, those who have believed and emigrated and fought with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - they are allies of one another. But those who believed and did not emigrate - for you there is no guardianship of them until they emigrate. And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help, except against a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty. And Allah is Seeing of what you do.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு (தங்கள்) ஊரை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் தங்கள் உயிர்களையும் பொருள்களையும் தியாகம் செய்து போர் புரிந்தார்களோ அவர்களும், எவர்கள் அவர்களை (தங்கள் இல்லங்களில்) அரவணைத்து (மற்றும் பல) உதவி புரிந்தார்களோ அவர்களும் ஆகிய இவ்விரு வகுப்பாரும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பொறுப்பு வகிக்கும் உற்ற நண்பர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். ஆயினும், நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களில் எவர்கள் இன்னும் (தங்கள்) ஊரை விட்டுப் புறப்படாமல் இருக்கின்றனரோ அவர்கள் (தங்கள்) ஊரை விட்டுப் புறப்படும் வரையில் நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய எவ்விஷயத்திற்கும் பொறுப்பாளிகளல்லர். எனினும், அவர்கள் மார்க்க விஷயத்தில் உங்களிடம் உதவி தேடினாலோ (அவர்களுக்கு) உதவி செய்வது உங்கள் மீது கடமையாகும். ஆயினும், உங்களிடம் உடன்படிக்கை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒரு வகுப்பினருக்கு எதிராக (அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வது) கூடாது. அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக எவர் ஈமான் கொண்டு, தம் ஊரைவிட்டு வெளியேறி, தம் செல்வங்களையும், உயிர்களையும் அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் தியாகம் செய்தார்களோ, அவர்களும்; எவர் இத்தகையோருக்குப் புகலிடம் கொடுத்து உதவியும் செய்தார்களோ, அவர்களும்; ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உற்ற நண்பர்கள் ஆவார்கள் - எவர் ஈமான் கொண்டு (இன்னும் தம்) ஊரைவிட்டு வெளியேறவில்லையோ, அவர்கள் நாடுதுறக்கும் வரையில், நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய எவ்விஷயத்திலும் பொறுப்பாளியல்ல; எனினும் அவர்கள் மார்க்க விஷயத்தில் உங்களிடம் உதவி தேடினால், உதவி புரிவது உங்கள் மீது கடமையாகும் - ஆனால் உங்களிடம் உடன்படிக்கை செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒரு சமூகத்திற்கு விரோதமாக (அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வது) கூடாது - அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நன்கு கவனித்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங் கொண்டு (தங்கள்) ஊரைவிட்டும் வெளியேறி அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் தங்கள் செல்வங்களாலும் தங்கள் உயிர்களாலும் அறப்போர் புரிந்தார்களே அத்தகையோரும், அவர்களுக்கு(த் தங்கள் வீடுகளில் இடமளித்து (வைத்துக் கொண்டு) உதவியும் புரிந்தார்களே அத்தகையோருமாகிய இவர்கள்-இவர்களில் சிலர் சிலருக்கு உற்ற நண்பர்களாவார்கள், இன்னும் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு (தங்கள்) ஊரைவிட்டு ஹிஜ்ரத்துச் செய்து புறப்படாமலிருக்கின்றனரே அத்தகையவர்கள்-அவர்கள், (தங்களுடைய) ஊரைவிட்டு புறப்படும் (ஹிஜ்ரத்துச் செய்யும்) வரையில் அவர்களுடைய நட்பில் உங்களுக்கு எதுவும் இல்லை, (எனினும்) அவர்கள் மார்க்க விஷயத்தில் உங்களிடம் உதவி தேடினாலோ (அவர்களுக்கு) உதவி செய்வது உங்கள் மீது கடமையாகும், (ஆயினும் வேறொரு சமூகத்தாராகிய) அவர்களுக்கும், உங்களுக்குமிடையில் உடன்படிக்கை உள்ள(தோ அந்த) சமூகத்தாரைத் தவிர, (அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக உதவி செய்வது கூடாது.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை பார்க்கிறவன்.

Those who believed, migrated, and fought with their wealth and their lives in the cause of Allah, and those who provided [migrants] with shelter and help – they are allies of one another. As for those who believed but did not migrate, you have no obligation to protect them until they migrate. But if they seek your help in religion, it is your obligation to help, except against people with whom you have a treaty. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

Waallatheena kafaroo baAAduhum awliyao baAAdin illa tafAAaloohu takun fitnatun fee alardi wafasadun kabeerun

And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block under one Khalîfah (a chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world) to make victorious Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism], there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism) and oppression on the earth, and great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism).

And those who disbelieved are allies of one another. If you do not do so, there will be fitnah on earth and great corruption.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களில் சிலர், அவர்களில் சிலருக்கு நண்பர்களே! (ஆகவே அவர்களில் சிலர் சிலருடைய பொருளை சுதந்தரமாக அடைய விட்டுவிடுங்கள்.) இவ்வாறு நீங்கள் செய்யாவிடில், பூமியில் பெரும் கலகமும் குழப்பமும் ஏற்பட்டுவிடும்.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களில் சிலருக்குச் சிலர் பாதுகாவலர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். நீங்கள் இதைச் செய்யாவிட்டால் அதாவது ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பாதுகாவலராக இருக்காவிட்டால் பூமியில் குழப்பமும், பெருங்கலகமும் ஏற்பட்டு இருக்கும்.

மேலும், நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பவர்கள்-அவர்களில் சிலர், சிலருக்கு பாதுகாவலர்களாவர், (இணை வைப்பவர்களைத் தவிர்த்து விசுவாசிகளை நீங்கள் உங்களின் காரியஸ்தர்களாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளும்) இதை நீங்கள் செய்யாவிட்டால் பூமியில் குழப்பமும், பெருங்கலகமும் ஏற்பட்டுவிடும்.

Those who disbelieve are protectors of one another. Unless you do likewise, there will be persecution in the land and a great corruption.

Waallatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena awaw wanasaroo olaika humu almuminoona haqqan lahum maghfiratun warizqun kareemun

And those who believed, and emigrated and strove hard in the Cause of Allâh (Al-Jihâd), as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid – these are the believers in truth, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun Karîm (a generous provision, i.e. Paradise).

But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.

எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு (தங்கள்) ஊரைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் போர் புரிகின்றார்களோ அவர்களும், எவர்கள் அவர்களை (தங்கள் இல்லங்களில்) அரவணைத்து (மேலும் பல) உதவியும் செய்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களும் தான் உண்மையான நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள். அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும் உண்டு; கண்ணியமான உணவும் உண்டு.

எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு (தம்) ஊரைத்துறந்து அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் போர் புரிகின்றாரோ அ(த்தகைய)வரும் எவர் அ(த்தகைய)வர்களுக்கு புகலிடம் கொடுத்து, உதவி செய்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களும் தான் உண்மையான முஃமின்கள் ஆவார்கள் - அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பு உண்டு. கண்ணியமான உணவும் உண்டு.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டு (தங்களுடைய) ஊரை விட்டும் வெளியேறி (ஹிஜ்ரத்தும் செய்து) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் யுத்தம் புரிகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோரும் இன்னும், இவர்களுக்கு இடமளித்து(த் தங்களுடைய வீடுகளில்) வைத்துக் கொண்டு இவர்களுக்கு உதவியும் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோருமாகிய இவர்கள் தாம் உண்மையான விசுவாசிகள், அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும் கண்ணியமான ஆகாரமும் உண்டு.

Those who believed, migrated and fought in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave them refuge and help – it is they who are the true believers; they will have forgiveness and an honorable provision.

Waallatheena amanoo min baAAdu wahajaroo wajahadoo maAAakum faolaika minkum waoloo alarhami baAAduhum awla bibaAAdin fee kitabi Allahi inna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun

And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you (in the Cause of Allâh), they are of you. But kindred by blood are nearer to one another (regarding inheritance) in the decree ordained by Allâh. Verily, Allâh is the All-Knower of everything.

And those who believed after [the initial emigration] and emigrated and fought with you - they are of you. But those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.

(இதன் பின்னரும் மக்காவாசிகளில்) எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு (தங்கள்) ஊரை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து (எதிரியை எதிர்த்து) போர்புரிகின்றார்களோ அவர்களும் உங்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களே! இனி அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதக் கட்டளைப்படி உங்கள் உறவினர்களில் உள்ளவர்களே, ஒருவர் மற்றவருக்கு பொறுப்பு வகிப்பார்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

இதன் பின்னரும், எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு, தம் ஊரைத்துறந்து, உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து (மார்க்கத்திற்காகப்) போர் புரிகின்றார்களோ, அவர்களும் உங்களை சேர்ந்தவர்களே. இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதவிதிப்படி உங்கள் உறவினர்களே; ஒருவர் மற்றொருவருக்கு மிக நெருக்கமுடையவர்களும் ஆவார்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

இதன் பின்னரும் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு (தங்களுடைய) ஊரை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து விரோதியை எதிர்த்து யுத்தம் புரிகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர் - அவர்கள் உங்களைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள்; (இன்னும்) இரத்தக்கலப்புடைய பந்துக்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதத்தில் உள்ளபடி அவர்களில் சிலர் சிலருக்கு (வாரிசு உரிமை பெற) மிக உரியவர்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் நன்கறிகிறவன்.

And those who believed afterwards, migrated and fought along with you – they belong to you. But blood relatives are more entitled to inherit from one another according to the Book of Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing of everything.
