62 - al-Jumu'ah (Friday) .....

Yusabbihu lillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi almaliki alquddoosi alAAazeezi alhakeemi

Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allâh, – the King (of everything), the Holy, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

வானங்களில் உள்ளவைகளும், பூமியில் உள்ளவைகளும் அல்லாஹ்வை புகழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. (அவன்தான்) மெய்யான அரசன்; பரிசுத்தமானவன்; (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்; ஞானமுடையவன்.

வானங்களிலுள்ளவையும், பூமியிலுள்ளவையும் அல்லாஹ்வைத் தஸ்பீஹு (துதி) செய்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றன; (அவன்தான்) மெய்யான பேரரசன்; பரிசுத்தமானவன்; யாவரையும் மிகைத்தவன்; ஞானம் மிக்கவன்.

வானங்களிலுள்ளவையும், பூமியிலுள்ளவையும் அல்லாஹ்வைத் துதி செய்கின்றன. (அவன்தான்) பேரரசன், பரிசுத்தமானவன், (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையோன்.

All that is in the heavens and all that is on earth glorifies Allah, the Sovereign, the Most Holy, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Huwa allathee baAAatha fee alommiyyeena rasoolan minhum yatloo AAalayhim ayatihi wayuzakkeehim wayuAAallimuhumu alkitaba waalhikmata wain kanoo min qablu lafee dalalin mubeenin

He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) from among themselves, reciting to them His Verses, purifying them (from the filth of disbelief and polytheism), and teaching them the Book (this Qur'ân, Islâmic laws and Islâmic jurisprudence) and Al-Hikmah (As-Sunnah: legal ways, orders, acts of worship of Prophet Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]). And verily, they had been before in manifest error;

It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error -

கல்வி அறிவில்லாத (அரபு) மக்களில் அவர்களில் உள்ள ஒருவரை அவன் (தன்னுடைய) தூதராக அனுப்பி வைத்தான். அவர்கள் இதற்கு முன்னர் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலிருந்த போதிலும், அத்தூதர் அவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை ஓதிக்காண்பித்து, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கி வைத்து, அவர்களுக்கு வேதத்தையும் ஞானத்தையும் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கின்றார்.

அவன்தான், எழுத்தறிவில்லா மக்களிடம் அவனுடைய வசனங்களை ஓதிக்காட்டி, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கி, அவர்களுக்கு வேதத்தையும், ஞானத்தையும் கற்பிக்கும் படியான தூதரை அவர்களிலிருந்தே அனுப்பி வைத்தான்; அவர்களோ, அதற்கு முன்னர் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலேயே இருந்தனர்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், எழுத்தறிவில்லாத (அரபி) சமூகத்தார்களில், அவர்களிலிருந்தே ஒரு தூதரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து அனுப்பிவைத்தான். அவர் அவனுடைய வசனங்களை அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக்காண்பித்து, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கியும் வைத்து, அவர்களுக்கு வேதத்தையும், தீர்க்கமான அறிவை (சுன்னத்தையும்) கற்றுக் கொடுக்கின்றார், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் இதற்கு முன்னர் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டில் இருந்தனர்.

It is He Who has sent among the unlettered [Arabs] a messenger from among themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them, and teaching them the Book and Wisdom [sunnah], although before that they were clearly misguided.

Waakhareena minhum lamma yalhaqoo bihim wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu

And [He has sent him (Prophet Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) also to] others among them (Muslims) who have not yet joined them (but they will come). And He (Allâh) is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

(தற்காலமுள்ள இவர்களுக்காகவும்) இதுவரையில் இவர்களுடன் சேராத இவர்கள் இனத்தில் (பிற்காலத்தில் வரும்) மற்றவர்களுக்காகவும் (அத்தூதரை அனுப்பி வைத்தான்.) அவன் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(இவர்களுக்காகவும்), இவர்களுடன் சேராத (பிற்காலத்த)வர்களுக்காகவும், (தூதராக அனுப்பி வைத்தான்) அவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்; ஞானம் மிக்கவன்.

இன்னும், அவர்களிலிருந்து (தோன்றக்கூடியவர்களும்) இதுவரை அவர்களுடன் சேராத(வர்களும் உலக முடிவுவரை தோன்றக் கூடியவர்களுமான) மற்றுமுள்ளோருக்கும் (தூதராக அவரை அல்லாஹ் அனுப்பி வைத்தான்) அவனோ யாவரையும் மிகைத்தோன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையோன்.

And [he is also sent] to others of them who have not yet joined them, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Thalika fadlu Allahi yuteehi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi

That is the Grace of Allâh, which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Mighty Grace.

That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

இது அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருளாகும். அவன் விரும்பிய வர்களுக்கே இதனைக் கொடுக்கின்றான். அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான அருளுடையவன்.

அதுவே அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளாகும், தான் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு அதை அவனளிக்கிறான்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான அருளுடையவன்.

அது அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பேரருளாகும், அவன் நாடியவர்களுக்கு அதனைக் கொடுக்கின்றான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான பேரருளுடையவன்.

That is the bounty of Allah that He gives to whom He wills, for Allah is the Lord of great bounty.

Mathalu allatheena hummiloo alttawrata thumma lam yahmilooha kamathali alhimari yahmilu asfaran bisa mathalu alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo biayati Allahi waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena

The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurât (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey which carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). How bad is the example of people who deny the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh. And Allâh guides not the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong doers, disbelievers).

The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

"தவ்றாத்" என்னும் வேதத்தைச் சுமந்து கொண்டு, அதிலுள்ளபடி நடக்காதவர்களின் உதாரணம்: புத்தகங்களைச் சுமக்கும் கழுதையின் உதாரணத்தை ஒத்திருக்கின்றது. அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கும் மக்களின் இவ்வுதாரணம் மகாகெட்டது. அல்லாஹ் இத்தகைய அநியாயக்கார மக்களை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்.

எவர்கள் தவ்ராத் (வேதம்) சுமத்தப்பெற்று பின்னர் அதன்படி நடக்கவில்லையோ, அவர்களுக்கு உதாரணமாவது: ஏடுகளைச் சுமக்கும் கழுதையின் உதாரணத்திற்கு ஒப்பாகும்; எச்சமூகத்தார் அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப் பொய்ப்பிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களின் உதாரணம் மிகக் கெட்டதாகும் - அல்லாஹ் அநியாயக்கார சமூகத்தாரை நேர்வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்.

“தவ்றாத்”தைச் சுமத்தப்பட்டுப் பின்னர், அதிலுள்ளவாறு செயல்படாதவர்களின் உதாரணம்: ஏடுகளைச் சுமக்கும் கழுதையின் உதராணத்தைப் போன்றதாகும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கியவர்களான சமூகத்தாரின் இவ்வுதாரணம் மிகக்கெட்டது, அல்லாஹ்வோ அநியாயக்கார சமூகத்தாரை நேர் வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்.

The similitude of those who were given the Torah but failed to uphold it, is like that of a donkey laden with books. How terrible is the similitude of those who reject the verses of Allah! And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Qul ya ayyuha allatheena hadoo in zaAAamtum annakum awliyao lillahi min dooni alnnasi fatamannawoo almawta in kuntum sadiqeena

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "O you Jews! If you pretend that you are friends of Allâh, to the exclusion of (all) other mankind, then long for death if you are truthful."

Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful."

"யூதர்களே! நீங்கள் மற்ற மனிதர்களைவிட அல்லாஹ்வுக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்களென்று மெய்யாகவே நீங்கள் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்து, அந்த எண்ணத்தில் நீங்கள் உண்மையானவர் களாகவும் இருந்தால், நீங்கள் மரணத்தை விரும்புங்கள்" என்று (நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்.

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: யஹூதிகளே! மற்ற மனிதர்களைவிட நீங்கள் தாம் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பிரியமானவர்கள் என்று எண்ணுவீர்களானால், மேலும் (அவ்வெண்ணத்தில்) நீங்கள் உண்மையாளராக இருப்பின், நீங்கள் மரணத்தை விரும்புங்கள்.”

“யூதர்களே! (மற்ற) மனிதர்களன்றி நீங்கள் தான் அல்லாஹ்வின் நண்பர்களென்று நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தால், (அவ்வெண்ணத்தில்) நீங்கள் உண்மையானவர்களாக இருந்தால் நீங்கள் மரணத்தை விரும்புங்கள்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

Say, “O you who are Jews, if you claim that you alone are Allah’s allies apart from all other people, then wish for death, if you are truthful.

Wala yatamannawnahu abadan bima qaddamat aydeehim waAllahu AAaleemun bialththalimeena

But they will never long for it (death), because of what (deeds) their hands have sent before them! And Allâh knows well the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong doers, disbelievers).

But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

இவர்களின் கரங்கள் தேடிக்கொண்ட (பாவத்)தின் காரணமாக, எக்காலத்திலும் இவர்கள் மரணத்தை விரும்பவே மாட்டார்கள். அல்லாஹ் இந்த அநியாயக்காரர்களை நன்கறிந்தே இருக்கின்றான்.

ஆனால், அவர்களுடைய கைகள் முற்படுத்தி வைத்த (பாவத்)தின் காரணத்தால், அவர்கள் அதை (மரணத்தை) ஒருக்காலும் விரும்ப மாட்டார்கள். மேலும், அல்லாஹ் அநியாயக்காரர்களை நன்கறிந்தவன்.

அன்றியும், அவர்களின் கரங்கள் முற்படுத்திவைத்ததின் காரணமாக (மரணமாகிய) அதை ஒரு போதும் அவர்கள் விரும்பமாட்டார்கள், மேலும் அல்லாஹ் அநியாயக்காரர்களை நன்கறிந்தவன்.

But they will never wish for it because of what their hands have sent forth. And Allah is All-Knowing of the wrongdoers.

Qul inna almawta allathee tafirroona minhu fainnahu mulaqeekum thumma turaddoona ila AAalimi alghaybi waalshshahadati fayunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

Say (to them): "Verily, the death from which you flee, will surely meet you, then you will be sent back to (Allâh), the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you used to do."

Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do."

(நபியே! அவர்களை நோக்கி,) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "நீங்கள் வெருண்டோடும் மரணம் உங்களை நிச்சயமாகப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளும். பின்னர், மறைவானதையும், வெளிப்படையானதையும் அறிந்தவனிடம் கொண்டு போகப்பட்டு, நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவைகளைப் பற்றி அவன் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பான்.

“நீங்கள் எதை விட்டும் விரண்டு ஓடுகிறீர்களோ, அந்த மரணம் நிச்சயமாக உங்களை சந்திக்கும்; பிறகு, மறைவானதையும் பகிரங்கமானதையும் நன்கறிந்தவனிடம் நீங்கள் கொண்டு மீட்டப்படுவீர்கள் - அப்பால், அவன் நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவை பற்றி உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பான்” (என்று) (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

(நபியே! அவர்களிடம்,) நீர் கூறுவீராக: நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் எதைவிட்டும் வெருண்டோடுகிறீர்களோ அத்தகைய மரணம்_நிச்சயமாக அது_உங்களைச் சந்திக்கும், பின்னர் மறைவானதையும், வெளிப்படையானதையும் அறிகிறவன் பக்கம் நீங்கள் மீட்டப்படுவீர்கள், அப்போது, நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவற்றை உங்களுக்கு அவன் அறிவிப்பான்.

Say, “The death from which you run away will surely overcome you, then you will be brought back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of what you used to do.”

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha noodiya lilssalati min yawmi aljumuAAati faisAAaw ila thikri Allahi watharoo albayAAa thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona

O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salât (prayer) on Friday (Jumu'ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allâh [Jumu'ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salât (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!

O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! வெள்ளிக்கிழமையன்று ஜுமுஆ தொழுகைக்காக (பாங்கு சொல்லி) நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டால், வியாபாரத்தை விட்டுவிட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வை நினைவுகூர நீங்கள் விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள். அறிவுடையவர்களாக இருந்தால் இதுவே உங்களுக்கு மிக நன்று. (இதனை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்களாக!

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! ஜுமுஆ உடைய நாளில் தொழுகைக்காக நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டால், வியாபாரத்தை விட்டுவிட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வைத் தியானிக்க (பள்ளிக்கு) விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள் - நீங்கள் அறிபவர்களாக இருப்பின் இதுவே உங்களுக்கு மிக மேலான நன்மையுடையதாகும்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! (வெள்ளிக்கிழமையாகிய) ஜூமுஆ தினத்தன்று தொழுகைக்காக (பாங்கு சொல்லி நீங்கள்) அழைக்கப்பட்டால், அப்போது அல்லாஹ்வை நினைவு கூர்வதன்பால் நீங்கள் சென்றுவிடுங்கள், வர்த்தகத்தையும் விட்டுவிடுங்கள், நீங்கள் அறிவுடையோர்களாக இருந்தால், இதுவே உங்களுக்கு மிகச் சிறந்ததாகும் (இதனை அறிந்துகொள்வீர்களாக!)

O you who believe, when the call for prayer is made on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading. That is better for you, if only you knew.

Faitha qudiyati alssalatu faintashiroo fee alardi waibtaghoo min fadli Allahi waothkuroo Allaha katheeran laAAallakum tuflihoona

Then when the (Jumu'ah) Salât (prayer) is ended, you may disperse through the land, and seek the bounty of Allâh (by working), and remember Allâh much, that you may be successful.

And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah often that you may succeed.

(ஜுமுஆ) தொழுகை முடிவு பெற்றால், (பள்ளியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுப்) பூமியில் சென்று அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருளைத் தேடிக்கொள்ளுங்கள். நீங்கள் வெற்றி அடைவதற்காக அதிகமதிகம் அல்லாஹ்வை நினைவுகூருங்கள்.

பின்னர், (ஜுமுஆ) தொழுகை நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டு விட்டதும், (பள்ளியிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டு) பூமியில் பரவிச் சென்று அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருளைத் தேடிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; அன்றியும், நீங்கள் வெற்றியடையும் பொருட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமதிகம் தியானம் செய்யுங்கள்.

பின்னர், (ஜூமுஆத்) தொழுகை நிறைவேற்றுப்பட்டுவிட்டால் (பள்ளியிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டுப்) பூமியில் பரவிச் சென்று, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பேரருளைத் தேடிக்கொள்ளுங்கள், மேலும், நீங்கள் வெற்றியடையும் பொருட்டு அதிகமதிகம் அல்லாஹ்வை நினைவு கூருங்கள்.

When the prayer is over, disperse in the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah much so that you may be successful.

Waitha raaw tijaratan aw lahwan infaddoo ilayha watarakooka qaiman qul ma AAinda Allahi khayrun mina allahwi wamina alttijarati waAllahu khayru alrraziqeena

And when they see some merchandise or some amusement [beating of Tambur (drum)], they disperse headlong to it, and leave you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) standing [while delivering Jumu'ah religious talk (Khutbah)]. Say: "That which Allâh has is better than any amusement or merchandise! And Allâh is the Best of providers."

But when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers."

(நபியே! சிலர் இருக்கின்றனர்;) அவர்கள் யாதொரு வியாபாரத்தையோ, அல்லது வேடிக்கையையோ கண்டால், (குத்பா ஓதும்) உங்களை நின்ற வண்ணமாக விட்டுவிட்டு அதனளவில் சென்று விடுகின்றனர். (ஆகவே, நபியே! அவர்களை நோக்கி,) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் உள்ளது, இந்த வியாபாரத்தையும் வேடிக்கையையும்விட மிக மேலானதாகும், அன்றி, உணவு அளிப்பவர்களிலும் அல்லாஹ் மிக மேலானவன்.

இன்னும், (நபியே!) அவர்களில் (சிலர்) ஒரு வியாபாரத்தையோ, அல்லது ஒரு வேடிக்கையையோ, கண்டால், அதன்பால் அவர்கள் சென்று விடுகின்றனர். மேலும், நின்ற வண்ணமே உம்மை விட்டுவிடுகின்றனர்; “அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் இருப்பது, வேடிக்கையை விடவும் வியாபாரத்தை விடவும் மிகவும் மேலானதாகும்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் உணவளிப்பவர்களில் மிகவும் மேலானவன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

(நபியே!) ஒரு வியாபாரத்தையோ, அல்லது வேடிக்கயையோ அவர்கள் பார்த்துவிட்டால், அதனளவில் சென்றுவிடுகின்றனர், (குத்பா ஓதும்) உம்மை நின்றவண்ணமாக விட்டும் விடுகின்றனர், (ஆகவே, நபியே! அவர்களிடம்,) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் உள்ளது வேடிக்கையையும், வர்த்தகத்தையும் விட மிகச் சிறந்ததாகும், அன்றியும் உணவளிப்பவர்களில் அல்லாஹ் மிகச் சிறந்தவன்.”

When they see some merchandise or amusement, they rush towards it and leave you standing. Say, “That which is with Allah is better than amusement and merchandise, and Allah is the Best of Providers.”
