57 - al-Hadeed (Iron) .....

Sabbaha lillahi ma fee alssamawati waalardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu

Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allâh, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் உள்ளவைகள் அனைத்துமே அல்லாஹ்வைப் புகழ்ந்து துதி செய்கின்றன. அவன் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும் உள்ளயாவும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே தஸ்பீஹு செய்து (துதி செய்து) கொண்டிருக்கின்றன - அவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோன்; ஞானம் மிக்கவன்.

வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியில் உள்ளவை அல்லாஹ்வை(ப் புகழ்ந்து) துதி செய்கின்றன. அவனே (யாவற்றையும்) மிகைத்தோன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையோன்.

All that is in the heavens and earth glorifies Allah, for He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi yuhyee wayumeetu wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. It is He Who gives life and causes death; and He is Able to do all things.

His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.

வானங்கள் பூமியின் ஆட்சியும் அவனுக்குடையதே! அவனே உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான்; அவனே மரணிக்கச் செய்கின்றான். அவன் எல்லாவற்றின் மீதும் ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

வானங்களுடையவும், பூமியுடையவும் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உடையது; அவனே உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்; மரிக்கும் படியும் செய்கிறான் - மேலும் அவன் அனைத்துப் பொருட்களின் மீதும் பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உரியது, அவன் உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான், அவனே மரணிக்குமாறும் செய்கின்றான், மேலும், அவன், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth; He gives life and causes death, and He is Most Capable of all things.

Huwa alawwalu waalakhiru waalththahiru waalbatinu wahuwa bikulli shayin AAaleemun

He is the First (nothing is before Him) and the Last (nothing is after Him), the Most High (nothing is above Him) and the Most Near (nothing is nearer than Him). And He is All-Knower of every thing.

He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.

அவனே முதலானவன்; அவனே இறுதியானவன்; அவனே வெளிப்படையானவன்; அவனே மறைவானவன்; அவனே ஒவ்வொன்றையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்.

(யாவற்றுக்கும்) முந்தியவனும் அவனே; பிந்தியவனும் அவனே; பகிரங்கமானவனும் அவனே; அந்தரங்கமானவனும் அவனே; மேலும், அவன் அனைத்துப் பொருள்களையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்.

அவனே முதலாமவனும், கடைசியானவனும், (அவனுக்கு முன்னும், பின்னும் ஒன்றுமில்லை!) அவனே (சகலவற்றிற்கும்) மேலானவனும், அந்தரங்கமானவனும் (ஆவான்), மேலும், அவன் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளைப் பற்றியும் நன்கறிகிறவன்.

He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, and He is All-Knowing of everything.

Huwa allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yaAAlamu ma yaliju fee alardi wama yakhruju minha wama yanzilu mina alssamai wama yaAAruju feeha wahuwa maAAakum ayna ma kuntum waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun

He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawâ) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allâh is All-Seer of what you do.

It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

அவன்தான் வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் ஆறு நாள்களில் படைத்தான். பின்னர், அர்ஷின் மீது (தன் மகிமைக்குத் தகுந்தாற் போல்) உயர்ந்துவிட்டான். (வித்து முதலியவை) பூமியில் விதைக்கப் படுவதையும் அவை முளைத்து வெளிப்படுவதையும், வானத்தில் இருந்து இறங்குபவைகளையும், (பூமியிலிருந்து) ஏறுபவைகளையும் அவன் நன்கறிவான். நீங்கள் எங்கிருந்தபோதிலும், அவன் உங்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான். நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளையும் (அந்த) அல்லாஹ் உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

அவன் தான் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் ஆறு நாட்களில் படைத்தான்; பின்னர் அர்ஷின் மீது அமைந்தான். பூமிக்குள் நுழைவதையும், அதிலிருந்து வெளியாவதையும்; வானத்திலிருந்து இறங்குவதையும், அதில் ஏறுவதையும் அவன் நன்கறிகிறான்; நீங்கள் எங்கிருந்து போதிலும் அவன் உங்களுடனே இருக்கிறான் - அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்வதை உற்று நோக்கியவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் ஆறு நாட்களில் படைத்தான், பின்னர், (தன் கண்ணியத்திற்குத் தக்கவாறும், மகத்துவத்திற்குரியவாறும் அர்ஷின் மீதிருப்பது அவனுக்கு எவ்வாறு தகுமோ அவ்வாறே) அர்ஷின் மீது உயர்ந்து (நிலைபெற்று) விட்டான், பூமியில் நுழைவதையும், அதிலிருந்து வெளிப்படுவதையும், வானத்திலிருந்து இறங்குவதையும், அதில் ஏறுவதையும் அவன் நன்கறிவான், நீங்கள் எங்கிருந்த போதிலும், அவன் (அறிவாலும், ஆற்றலாலும் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கு பார்க்கிறவன்.

It is He Who created the heavens and earth in six days, and then rose over the Throne. He knows all that goes into the earth and all that comes out of it, and all that descends from the heaven and all that ascends to it. He is with you wherever you are, and Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

Lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru

His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And to Allâh return all the matters (for decision).

His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

வானங்கள் பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்குரியதே! எல்லா விஷயங்களும் (அந்த) அல்லாஹ்விடமே கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

வானங்களுடையவும், பூமியுடையவும் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உடையது; அன்றியும் காரியங்கள் அனைத்தும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே மீட்கப்படும்.

வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியின் ஆட்சி அவனுக்கே உரியது, அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கமே காரியங்கள் (யாவும்) திருப்பப்படும்.

To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth, and to Allah will return all matters.

Yooliju allayla fee alnnahari wayooliju alnnahara fee allayi wahuwa AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

He merges night into day (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the night is added into the hours of the day), and merges day into night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day is added into the hours of the night), and He has full knowledge of whatsoever is in the breasts.

He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts.

அவனே, இரவைப் பகலில் புகுத்துகின்றான்; பகலை இரவில் புகுத்துகின்றான். மனதிலுள்ள எல்லா எண்ணங்களையும் அவன் நன்கறிவான்.

அவனே இரவைப் பகலில் புகுத்துகின்றான்; இன்னும் பகலை இரவில் புகுத்துகின்றான் - அவன் இதயங்களிலுள்ளவற்றையெல்லாம் நன்கறிந்தவன்.

இரவைப் பகலில் அவன் நுழைவிக்கிறான், மேலும், பகலை இரவில் நுழைவிக்கின்றான், (தனது அடியார்களின்) இதயங்களில் உள்ளவற்றையும் அவன் நன்கறிகிறவன்.

He causes the night to merge into the day and the day to merge into the night, and He is All-Knowing of what is in the hearts.

Aminoo biAllahi warasoolihi waanfiqoo mimma jaAAalakum mustakhlafeena feehi faallatheena amanoo minkum waanfaqoo lahum ajrun kabeerun

Believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend (in Allâh's way), theirs will be a great reward.

Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.

ஆகவே, (மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள்) அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதரையும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு முன் சென்றவர்களின் எப்பொருள்களுக்கு உங்களைப் பிரதிநிதிகளாக ஆக்கினானோ அப்பொருள்களிலிருந்து நீங்கள் தானம் செய்யுங்கள். உங்களில் எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு தானம் செய்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுக்குப் பெரியதொரு கூலி உண்டு.

நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதும் அவன் தூதர் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள்; மேலும், அவன் உங்களை (எந்த சொத்துக்கு) பின் தோன்றல்களாக ஆக்கியுள்ளானோ, அதிலிருந்து (அல்லாஹ்வுக்காகச்) செலவு செய்யுங்கள்; ஏனெனில் உங்களில் எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு, (அல்லாஹ்வுக்காகச்) செலவும் (தானம்) செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு (அவனிடம்) பெரியதொரு கூலி இருக்கிறது.

(ஆகவே மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள்) அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதரையும் விசுவாசியுங்கள். அன்றியும், எதில் உங்களை அவன் பின்தோன்றல்களாக ஆக்கி இருக்கிறானோ, அதிலிருந்து (தர்மமாகச்) செலவு செய்யுங்கள், ஆகவே, உங்களில் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, (தர்மமாகச்) செலவு செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களுக்குப் பெரியதொரு கூலியுண்டு.

Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and spend [in Allah’s cause] out of what He has entrusted you with. For those among you who believe and spend, there will be a great reward.

Wama lakum la tuminoona biAllahi waalrrasoolu yadAAookum lituminoo birabbikum waqad akhatha meethaqakum in kuntum mumineena

And what is the matter with you that you believe not in Allâh! While the Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) invites you to believe in your Lord (Allâh); and He (Allâh) has indeed taken your covenant, if you are real believers.

And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?

(மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை ஏன் நம்பிக்கை கொள்வதில்லை? உங்களைப் படைத்து காக்கும் உங்கள் இறைவனைத்தான் நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுமாறு, உங்களை நம்முடைய தூதர் அழைக்கின்றார். (இதைப்பற்றி, இறைவன்) உங்களிடம் நிச்சயமாக வாக்குறுதி பெற்றிருக்கின்றான். நீங்கள் உண்மையாகவே நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களாயிருந்தால் (இதன் உண்மையை நீங்கள் நன்கறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்.)

உங்கள் இறைவன் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள (நம்) தூதர் உங்களை அழைக்கையில் - இன்னும் திட்டமாய் ஏற்கனவே (அவன்) உங்களிடம் உறுதிமானமும் வாங்கியிருக்கும் போது, அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொள்ளாதிருக்க உங்களுக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது? நீங்கள் முஃமின்களாக இருப்பீர்களாயின் (இறை போதனைப்படி நடவுங்கள்).

(நம்முடைய) தூதர், உங்களுடைய இரட்சகனை நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்குமாறு உங்களை அழைப்பவராக இருக்க, மேலும், (இதைப்பற்றி முன்னதாக அல்லாஹ்) நிச்சயமாக உங்களுடைய வாக்குறுதியை அவன் வாங்கியிமிருக்க_(மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வைக் கொண்டு விசுவாசம் கொள்ளாதிருக்க உங்களுக்கென்ன நேர்ந்தது? நீங்கள் (உண்மையாகவே) விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களாக இருந்தால் (அல்லாஹ்வையே நம்புங்கள்.)

Why is it that you do not believe in Allah when the Messenger is calling you to believe in your Lord, and He has already taken a covenant from you, if you will ever believe?

Huwa allathee yunazzilu AAala AAabdihi ayatin bayyinatin liyukhrijakum mina alththulumati ila alnnoori wainna Allaha bikum laraoofun raheemun

It is He Who sends down manifest Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to His slave (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) that He may bring you out from darkness into light. And verily, Allâh is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful.

It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.

உங்களை(ப் பாவத்தின்) இருள்களிலிருந்து ஒளியின் பக்கம் கொண்டு வரும் பொருட்டே, அவன் தனது அடியார் மீது தெளிவான வசனங்களை இறக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் மீது மிக கிருபையுடையவனும் மிக இரக்கம் உடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அவன்தான் உங்களை இருள்களிலிருந்து பிரகாசத்தின் பால் வெளிக் கொண்டுவருவதற்காகத் தன் அடியார் மீது தெளிவானவையான வசனங்களை இறக்கி வைக்கின்றான்; மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் மீது மிக்க கிருபையுடையவன்; நிகரற்ற அன்புடையவன்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களை(ப் பாவத்தின்) இருள்களிலிருந்து (நேர் வழியின்) பிரகாசத்தின்பால் வெளிப்படுத்துவதற்காக, அவன் தனது அடியார் மீது தெளிவான வசனங்களை இறக்கிவைக்கின்றான், மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் மீது மிக இரக்கமுடையவன், மிக்க கிருபையுடையவன்.

It is He Who sends down clear verses to His slave to bring you out of the depths of darkness into the light. Indeed, Allah is Ever Gracious and Most Merciful to you.

Wama lakum alla tunfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi walillahi meerathu alssamawati waalardi la yastawee minkum man anfaqa min qabli alfathi waqatala olaika aAAthamu darajatan mina allatheena anfaqoo min baAAdu waqataloo wakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna waAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun

And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the Cause of Allâh? And to Allâh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Makkah, with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all Allâh has promised the best (reward). And Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.

உங்களுக்கென்ன! அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் நீங்கள் செலவு செய்ய வேண்டாமா? வானங்கள், பூமியிலுள்ளவைகளின் உரிமை அல்லாஹ்வுக்குரியதுதானே! உங்களில் எவர் (மக்காவை) வெல்வதற்கு முன்னர் தன் பொருளைச் செலவு செய்து போர் புரிந்தாரோ, அவர் மகத்தான பதவி உடையவர். ஆகவே, அதற்குப் பின்னர், தன் பொருளைச் செலவு செய்து போர் புரிந்தவர் அவருக்குச் சமமாக மாட்டார். எனினும், இவ்விருவருக்கும் அல்லாஹ் நன்மையையே வாக்களித்திருக்கின்றான். அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் நீங்கள் செலவு செய்யாதிருக்க உங்களுக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது? வானங்கள், பூமியிலுள்ளவற்றின் அனந்தர பாத்தியதை அல்லாஹ்வுடையதே! (மக்கா) வெற்றிக்கு முன்னர் செலவு செய்து, போரிட்டவர்களுக்கு உங்களில் நின்றும் (எவரும்) சமமாக மாட்டார்; (மக்காவின் வெற்றிக்குப்) பின்; செலவு செய்து போரிட்டவர்களைவிட, அவர்கள் பதவியால் மிகவும் மகத்தானவர்கள்; எனினும் அல்லாஹ் எல்லோருக்குமே அழகானதையே வாக்களித்திருக்கின்றான். அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நன்கு தெரிந்தவன்.  

மேலும் வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியிலுள்ளவைகளின் வாரிசுரிமை அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியதாயிருக்க _ அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் நீங்கள் செலவு செய்யாமலிருக்க உங்களுக்கென்ன நேர்ந்தது? உங்களில் (மக்கா) வெற்றிக்கு முன்னர் யார் (தன் பொருளைச்) செலவும் செய்து, யுத்தமும் புரிந்தாரோ அவருக்கு உங்களில் (யாரும்) நிகராகமாட்டார். (முந்திய) அவர்கள், (மக்கா வெற்றிக்குப்) பிறகு செலவும் செய்து போரிட்டார்களே அத்தகையோரைவிட பதவியால் மிக மகத்தானவர்கள், (எனினும்,) ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அல்லாஹ் நன்மையையே வாக்களித்திருக்கிறான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நன்குணர்பவன்.

Why is it that you do not spend in the cause of Allah, when Allah alone will inherit the heavens and earth? Those of you who spent and fought before the conquest [of Mecca and those who did not] are not equal. They are much greater in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Yet Allah has promised each a fine reward, and Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Man tha allathee yuqridu Allaha qardan hasanan fayudaAAifahu lahu walahu ajrun kareemun

Who is he that will lend Allâh a goodly loan, then (Allâh) will increase it manifold to his credit (in repaying), and he will have (besides) a good reward (i.e. Paradise)?

Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?

எவர் அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக அழகான கடன் கொடுக்கின்றாரோ அவருக்கு, அதனை இரட்டிப்பாக்கியே வைத்திருக்கின்றான். அன்றி, அவருக்கு மிக கண்ணியமான கூலியும் உண்டு.

அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அழகான கடனாகக் கடன் கொடுப்பவர் யார்? அவருக்கு அவன் அதை இரட்டிப்பாக்குகின்றான்; மேலும், அவருக்குக் கண்ணியமான நற்கூலியும் உண்டு.

அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அழகிய கடனாகக் கடன் கொடுப்பவர் யார்? அவருக்கு அதனை அவன் இரட்டிப்பாக்கி வைக்கிறான், (அன்றியும்,) அவருக்கு மிக்க கண்ணியமான நற்கூலியும் உண்டு.

Who is there to lend Allah a goodly loan, so He will multiply it for him, and for him there will be a generous reward?

Yawma tara almumineena waalmuminati yasAAa nooruhum bayna aydeehim wabiaymanihim bushrakumu alyawma jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu

On the Day you shall see the believing men and the believing women – their light running forward before them and (with their Records - Books of deeds) in their right hands. Glad tidings for you this Day! Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever! Truly, this is the great success!

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

(நபியே!) நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட இத்தகைய ஆண்களையும் பெண்களையும் நீங்கள் காணும் அந்நாளில், அவர்களுடைய ஒளியின் பிரகாசம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னும், வலப்பக்கத்திலும் சென்று கொண்டிருக்கும். (உண்மையான அவர்களின் நம்பிக்கையின் காரணமாக, அவர்களை நோக்கி மலக்குகள்:) "இன்றைய தினம் உங்களுக்கு நற்செய்தி (என்றும்) தொடர்ந்து நீரருவிகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் சுவனபதியில் நுழைந்து விடுவீர்கள். என்றென்றும் அதில் தங்கியும் விடுவீர்கள்" என்றும் கூறுவார்கள். இதுதான் மகத்தான ஒரு வெற்றியாகும்.

முஃமின்களான ஆண்களையும் முஃமின்களான பெண்களையும் நீர் பார்க்கும் நாளில் அவர்களுடைய பிரகாசம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னாலும், அவர்களுக்கு வலப்புறத்திலும் விரைந்து கொண்டிருக்கும், (அப்போது அவர்களை நோக்கி:) “இன்று உங்களுக்கு நன்மாராயமாவது சுவர்க்கத்துச் சோலைகளாகும்; அவற்றின் கீழே ஆறுகள் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும்; அவற்றில் என்றென்றும் தங்கியிருங்கள் - இது தான் மகத்தான வெற்றியாகும்” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

(நபியே!) விசுவாசங்கொண்ட ஆண்களையும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட பெண்களையும் நீர் காணும் (அந்) நாளில், அவர்களுடைய பிரகாசம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னும், அவர்களுடைய வலப்புறங்களிலும் விரைந்து (சென்று) கொண்டிருக்கும், “இன்றைய தினம் உங்களுக்கு நன்மாராயம் சுவனங்களாகும், அவற்றின் கீழ் ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும், அவற்றில் நீங்கள் நிரந்தரமாக(த் தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள், அதுவே மகத்தான வெற்றியாகும்” (என்று மலக்குகள் கூறுவார்கள்).

[Remember] the Day when you will see the believing men and women, with their light streaming ahead of them and on their right. [They will be told], “Glad tidings for you Today: gardens under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever.” That is the supreme triumph.

Yawma yaqoolu almunafiqoona waalmunafiqatu lillatheena amanoo onthuroona naqtabis min noorikum qeela irjiAAoo waraakum failtamisoo nooran faduriba baynahum bisoorin lahu babun batinuhu feehi alrrahmatu wathahiruhu min qibalihi alAAathabu

On the Day when the hypocrites – men and women – will say to the believers: "Wait for us! Let us get something from your light!" It will be said: "Go back to your rear! Then seek a light!" So, a wall will be put up between them, with a gate therein. Inside it will be mercy, and outside it will be torment."

On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.

அந்நாளில், நயவஞ்சக ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை நோக்கி "நீங்கள் (முன் செல்லாது) எங்களுக்காகச் சிறிது தாமதியுங்கள். உங்களுடைய பிரகாசத்தைக் கொண்டு நாங்கள் பயனடைவோம்" என்று கூறுவார்கள். (அதற்கு அவர்களை நோக்கி "எங்கள் முன் நிற்காதீர்கள்.) நீங்கள் உங்கள் பின்புறம் சென்று (அங்குப்) பிரகாசத்தைத் தேடிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று கூறப்படும். அந்நேரத்தில், இவர்களுக்கும் அவர்களுக்கும் மத்தியில் ஒரு சுவர் எழுப்பப்பட்டுவிடும். அதற்கு வாசலும் இருக்கும். (நம்பிக்கை யாளர்கள் இருக்கக்கூடிய) அதன் உட்புறத்தில் (இறைவனின்) அருளும், அதன் வெளிப்புறத்தில் (பாவிகள் அனுபவிக்கக்கூடிய) அவனுடைய வேதனையுமிருக்கும்.

முனாஃபிக்கான ஆண்களும், முனாஃபிக்கான பெண்களும் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களை நோக்கி: “எங்களை கவனியுங்கள்; உங்கள் ஒளியிலிருந்து நாங்களும் பற்ற வைத்துக் கொள்கிறோம்” என்று கூறும் தினத்தை (நினைவூட்டுவீராக); அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்படும்: “உங்களுக்குப் பின்னால், திரும்பிச் சென்று பின்னர் ஒளியைத் தேடிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.” பிறகு, அவர்களுக்கிடையே ஒரு சுவர் எழுப்பப்படும்! அதற்கு ஒரு வாயில் இருக்கும்; அதன் உட்புறம் (இறை) ரஹ்மத் இருக்கும்; ஆனால் அதன் வெளிப்புறத்தில் - (எல்லாத்) திசையிலும் வேதனையிருக்கும்.

(வேஷதாரிகளான_) முனாஃபிக்கான ஆண்களும், முனாஃபிக்கான பெண்களும் விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் (முன் செல்லாது எங்களுக்காகச் சிறிது தாமதித்து) எங்களைப் பாருங்கள், உங்களுடைய பிரகாசத்திலிருந்து நாங்கள் (கொஞ்சம் ஒளியை) எடுத்துக்கொள்கிறோம்” என்று கூறும் நாளில், (அவர்களிடம்,) “நீங்கள் உங்கள் பின்புறம் (திரும்பிச்) சென்று பிராகசத்தைத் தேடிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று கூறப்படும், அப்பொழுது அவர்களுக்கிடையில் ஒரு தடுப்பு எழுப்பப்படும். அதற்கு வாசலும் இருக்கும், (விசுவாசிகள் இருக்கக்கூடிய) அதன் உட்புறம் _அதில் (அல்லாஹ்வின்) அருளும், அதன் வெளிப்புறம்_அதன் பக்கமிருந்து வேதனையும் இருக்கும்.

On that Day the hypocrite men and women will say to those who believe, “Wait for us, so that we may have some of your light.” It will be said, “Go back and seek light elsewhere.” Then a wall will be placed between them, which will have a gate, on the inside of which there will be mercy and on the outside there will be punishment.

Yunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloo bala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastum wairtabtum wagharratkumu alamaniyyu hatta jaa amru Allahi wagharrakum biAllahi algharooru

(The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith) and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allâh came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allâh."

The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

இவர்கள் (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை நோக்கி "உலகத்தில்) நாங்கள் உங்களுடன் சேர்ந்திருக்கவில்லையா?" என்று சப்தமிட்டுக் கூறுவார்கள். அதற்கவர்கள் (இவர்களை நோக்கி) "மெய்தான். ஆயினும், நீங்களே உங்களைத் துன்பத்திற்குள்ளாக்கிக் கொண்டீர்கள். அன்றி, (நாங்கள் அழிந்து போவதை) நீங்கள் எதிர் பார்த்தீர்கள்; (இந்நாளைப் பற்றியும்) நீங்கள் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள். அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளை(யாகிய மரணம்) வரும் வரையில், உங்களுடைய பேராசைகள் உங்களை மயக்கி விட்டன! மாயக்கார (ஷைத்தா)ன் அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி உங்களை மயக்கிவிட்டான்.

இவர்கள் (முஃமின்களைப் பார்த்து) நாங்கள் உங்களுடன் இருக்கவில்லையா?” என்று (அந்த முனாஃபிக்குகள்) சப்தமிட்டுக் கூறுவார்கள்; “மெய்தான்; எனினும் நீங்களே உங்களைச் சோதனையிலாழ்த்தி விட்டீர்கள்; (எங்கள் அழிவை) நீங்கள் எதிர் பார்த்தீர்கள்; (இந்நாளைப் பற்றியும்) சந்தேகமும் கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்; அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளை வரும் வரையில் (உங்களுடைய வீண் ஆசைகள் உங்களை மயக்கி விட்டன; அன்றியும் மயக்குபவ(னான ஷைத்தா)ன், அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி உங்களை மயக்கியும் விட்டான்” என்றும் (முஃமின்கள்) கூறுவார்கள்.

இவர்கள் (உலகத்தில்) “நாங்கள் உங்களுடன் இருக்கவில்லையா?” என்று (விசுவாசிகளாகிய) அவர்களை அழைப்பார்கள், (அதற்கு) அவர்கள், (இவர்களிடம்) “மெய்தான்! ஆயினும், நீங்களே உங்களை (நயவஞ்சகத்தால்) துன்பத்திற்குள்ளாகிக் கொண்டீர்கள், அன்றியும், (நாங்கள் அழிக்கப்படுவதை) நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்தீர்கள், (அல்லாஹ்வின் ஏகத்துவத்திலும், நபியின் தூதிலும்) நீங்கள் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டுமிருந்தீர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளை(யாகிய மரணம்) வரும்வரையில், (உங்களுடைய) பேராசைகள் உங்களைச் சதிசெய்தும் விட்டன, மேலும், ஏமாற்றுகிறவ(னாகிய ஷைத்தா)ன், அல்லாஹ்வைப்பற்றி உங்களை ஏமாற்றியும் விட்டான்.

The hypocrites will call out to the believers, “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Yes, but you allowed yourselves to succumb to temptations, you awaited [some misfortune to befall us], you doubted, and you were deceived by false hopes, until Allah’s decree came to pass. Thus the deceiver [Satan] deceived you concerning Allah.

Faalyawma la yukhathu minkum fidyatun wala mina allatheena kafaroo mawakumu alnnaru hiya mawlakum wabisa almaseeru

So this Day no ransom shall be taken from you (hypocrites), nor of those who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism). Your abode is the Fire. That is your maulâ (friend – proper place), and worst indeed is that destination.

So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is most worthy of you, and wretched is the destination.

ஆகவே, இன்றைய தினம் உங்களிடமிருந்தோ அல்லது (உங்களைப் போல்) நிராகரித்தவர்களிடமிருந்தோ (உங்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கவேண்டிய வேதனைக்குப் பதிலாக) யாதொன்றையும் பரிகாரமாகப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட மாட்டாது. நீங்கள் செல்லுமிடம் நரகம்தான். (நரக) நெருப்புத்தான் உங்களுக்குத் துணையாக இருக்கக்கூடியது" (என்றும் கூறப்படும்). அது தங்குமிடங்களில் எல்லாம் மகா கெட்டது.

“ஆகவே, இன்று உங்களிடமிருந்தோ நிராகரித்தவர்களிடமிருந்தோ (உங்களுக்குரிய வேதனைக்குப் பதிலாக) எந்த வகையான நஷ்ட ஈடும் வாங்கப்பட மாட்டாது; உங்களுடைய தங்குமிடம் நரகம் தான்; அதுதான் உங்களுக்குத் துணை - அதுவோ சென்றடையும் இடங்களிலெல்லாம் மிகக் கெட்டதாகும்” (என்றுங் கூறப்படும்).

ஆகவே, இன்றையத் தினம் உங்களிடமிருந்தோ, அல்லது நிராகரித்தவர்களிடமிருந்தோ (நீங்கள் அடையவேண்டிய தண்டனைக்குப் பதிலாக) யாதொரு நஷ்ட ஈடும் எடுக்கப்படமாட்டாது, நீங்கள் தங்குமிடம் நரகந்தான், அதுதான் உங்களுக்குத் துணை, சென்றடையும் இடமான அது மிகக்கெட்டது (என்று கூறப்படும்).

So this Day no ransom will be accepted from you or from the disbelievers. Your abode is the Fire; it is a fitting place for you – what a wretched destination!”

Alam yani lillatheena amanoo an takhshaAAa quloobuhum lithikri Allahi wama nazala mina alhaqqi wala yakoonoo kaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablu fatala AAalayhimu alamadu faqasat quloobuhum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona

Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) to be affected by Allâh's Reminder (this Qur'ân), and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injîl (Gospel)] before (i.e. Jews and Christians), and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened? And many of them were Fâsiqûn (the rebellious, the disobedient to Allâh).

Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.

நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களின் உள்ளங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை நினைத்தும், அவன் இறக்கிவைத்த சத்திய (வசன)ங்களைக் கவனித்தும் பயப்படக்கூடிய நேரம் (இன்னும்) வரவில்லையா? இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் வேதம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களைப் போல், இவர்களும் ஆகிவிடவேண்டாம். (இவ்வாறே) அவர்கள் மீதும் ஒரு காலம் சென்று, அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் கடினமாக இருகி விட்டன. அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் பாவிகளாகி விட்டனர்.

ஈமான் கொண்டார்களே அவர்களுக்கு, அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், இறங்கியுள்ள உண்மையான (வேதத்)தையும் நினைத்தால், அஞ்சி நடுங்கும் நேரம் வரவில்லையா? மேலும், அவர்கள் - முன்னால் வேதம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களைப் போல் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம்; (ஏனெனில்) அவர்கள் மீது நீண்ட காலம் சென்ற பின் அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் கடினமாகி விட்டன; அன்றியும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் ஃபாஸிக்குகளாக - பாவிகளாக ஆகிவிட்டனர்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டிருந்தோருக்கு, அவர்களது இதயங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வையும், உண்மையிலிருந்து இறங்கிய (வேதத்)தையும் நினைவு கூர்வதற்காக, பயந்து நடுங்கக்கூடிய நேரம் (இன்னும்) வரவில்லையா? மேலும், இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் வேதங்கொடுக்கப்பட்டோரைப் போன்று இவர்களும் ஆகிவிடவேண்டாம், பின்னர், அவர்கள் மீது (நபிமார்கள் வருகையின்) ஒரு காலம் நீண்டுவிட்டது, ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் கடினமாகிவிட்டன, மேலும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் பாவிகள்.

Has the time not yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humbled at the remembrance of Allah and to the truth that has been revealed? And that they should not be like those who were given the Scripture before, whose hearts grew hard after the passage of long time, and many of them were evildoers.

IAAlamoo anna Allaha yuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha qad bayyanna lakumu alayati laAAallakum taAAqiloona

Know that Allâh gives life to the earth after its death! Indeed We have made clear the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to you, if you but understand.

Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.

(மனிதர்களே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான், இறந்த பூமியை உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான் என்பதை உறுதியாக அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள். நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளும் பொருட்டே, நிச்சயமாக அவன் பல உதாரணங்களை உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக்கி இருக்கின்றான்.

அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பூமியை அதன் இறப்பிற்குப்பின், உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்; நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்வதற்காக நாம் இவ்வசனங்களை உங்களுக்கு தெளிவாக விவரிக்கிறோம்.

(மனிதர்களே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், பூமியை_அது (வறண்டு) இறந்ததன் பின்னர் அவன் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான் என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், நீங்கள் விளங்கிக்கொள்வதற்காக நிச்சயமாக (நம்முடைய) வசனங்களை நாம் உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்.

Know that Allah revives the earth after its death. We have made the signs clear to you so that you may understand.

Inna almussaddiqeena waalmussaddiqati waaqradoo Allaha qardan hasanan yudaAAafu lahum walahum ajrun kareemun

Verily, those who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât and alms), men and women, and lend Allâh a goodly loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and theirs shall be an honourable good reward (i.e. Paradise).

Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.

நிச்சயமாக ஆண்களிலோ, பெண்களிலோ எவர்கள் தானம் செய்து அழகான முறையில் அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக(ப் பிறருக்குப் பொருளை)க் கடனாகவும் கொடுக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு, அது இரு மடங்காக்கப்படுகின்றது. பின்னும் அவர்களுக்கு மிக்க கண்ணியமான கூலியுமுண்டு.

நிச்சயமாக தானதர்மம் செய்யும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அழகான கடனாகக் கடன் கொடுத்தார்களே அவர்களும் - அவர்களுக்கு (அதன் பலன்) இரு மடங்காக்கப்படும் -(அன்றியும்) அவர்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ்விடம்) கண்ணியமான நற்கூலியும் இருக்கிறது.

நிச்சயமாக தர்மம் செய்யும் ஆண்களும், தர்மம் செய்யும் பெண்களும், அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக(ப் பிறருக்குப் பொருளை) அழகான கடனாகக் கடன் கொடுத்தார்களே அவர்களும்_அவர்களுக்கு அது இரு மடங்காக (அதன் பலன்) ஆக்கப்படுகின்றது, இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு மிக்க கண்ணியமான (நற்)கூலியும் உண்டு.

Indeed, those men and women who give in charity and lend to Allah a goodly loan, it will be multiplied for them, and for them there will be a generous reward.

Waallatheena amanoo biAllahi warusulihi olaika humu alssiddeeqoona waalshshuhadao AAinda rabbihim lahum ajruhum wanooruhum waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina olaika ashabu aljaheemi

And those who believe in (the Oneness of) Allâh and His Messengers – they are the Siddîqûn (i.e. those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them) and the martyrs with their Lord. They shall have their reward and their light. But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and deny Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) – they shall be the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.

எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதர்களையும் மெய்யாகவே நம்பிக்கை கொள்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்கள்தாம் ஸித்தீக் எனப்படும் உண்மையாளர்கள். "ஷஹீது" எனப்படும் சன்மார்க்கப் போரில் உயிர்த்தியாகம் செய்தவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனிடத்தில் இருப்பார்கள். மேலும், அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் அவர்களுடைய கூலியும் உண்டு. (நேரான வழியை அறிவிக்கக் கூடிய) பிரகாசமும் உண்டு. எவர்கள் நம்முடைய வசனங்களை நிராகரித்துப் பொய்யாக்குகின்றார்களோ, அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள்தாம்.

மேலும், எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதும் அவனுடைய தூதர்கள் மீதும் நம்பிக்கை கொள்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் தாம் தங்கள் இறைவன் முன் உண்மையாளர்களாகவும், உயிர் தியாகிகளாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய நற்கூலியும், (நேர்வழி காட்டும்) பேரொளியும் உண்டு; எவர்கள் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டும், நம் வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டும் இருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள்தான்.  

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதர்களையும் விசுவாசிக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_ அவர்கள்தாம் தங்கள் இரட்சகனிடத்தில் உண்மைப்படுத்தியவர்களும், (தியாகிகளான) ஷூஹதாக்களும் ஆவர் (மேற் கூறப்பட்ட இருசாரர்களாகிய) அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய கூலியும், (அவர்களுக்கு வழியை அறிவிக்கக் கூடிய) அவர்களுடைய பிரகாசமும் உண்டு, இன்னும், நிராகரித்து, நம்முடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்குகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_ அவர்கள் நரக வாசிகள்.

Those who believe in Allah and His messengers, it is they who are the people of the truth. And the martyrs will have their reward and their light with their Lord. As for those who disbelieve and reject Our verses, they are the people of the Blazing Fire.

IAAlamoo annama alhayatu alddunya laAAibun walahwun wazeenatun watafakhurun baynakum watakathurun fee alamwali waalawladi kamathali ghaythin aAAjaba alkuffara nabatuhu thumma yaheeju fatarahu musfarran thumma yakoonu hutaman wafee alakhirati AAathabun shadeedun wamaghfiratun mina Allahi waridwanun wama alhayatu alddunya illa mataAAu alghuroori

Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children. (It is) as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tillers; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers – evildoers), and (there is) forgiveness from Allâh and (His) Good Pleasure (for the believers – good-doers). And the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment.

Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

(மனிதர்களே!) நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் வீண் விளையாட்டும், வேடிக்கையும், வெறும் அலங்காரமும்தான். தவிர உங்களுக்கிடையில் ஏற்படும் வீண்பெருமையும், பொருளிலும் சந்ததியிலும் அதிகரிக்க வேண்டுமென்ற வீண் எண்ணமும்தான். (இதன் உதாரணமாவது:) ஒரு மழையின் உதாரணத்தை ஒத்திருக்கின்றது. அந்த மழையினால் முளைத்த பயிர்கள் (நன்கு வளர்ந்து) விவசாயிக்குக் களிப்பை உண்டுபண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தன. பின்னர், அவை மஞ்சனித்துக் காய்ந்து, சருகுகளாகிவிடுவதைக் காண்கின்றான். (இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையும் அவ்வாறே இருக்கின்றது.) மறுமையிலோ (அவர்களில் பலருக்குக்) கொடிய வேதனையும், (பலருக்கு) அல்லாஹ்வின் மன்னிப்பும், அவனது திருப்பொருத்தமும் கிடைக்கின்றன. ஆகவே, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை (மனிதனை) மயக்கும் சொற்ப இன்பமேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்: “நிச்சயமாக இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை விளையாட்டும், வேடிக்கையும், அலங்காரமுமேயாகும்; மேலும் (அது) உங்களிடையே பெருமையடித்துக் கொள்வதும்; பொருள்களையும், சந்ததிகளையும் பெருக்குவதுமேயாகும்; (இது) மழையின் உதாரணத்துக்கு ஒப்பாகும்; (அதாவது:) அது முளைப்பிக்கும் பயிர் விவசாயிகளை ஆனந்தப் படுத்துகிறது; ஆனால், சீக்கிரமே அது உலர்ந்து மஞ்சள் நிறம் ஆவதை நீர் காண்கின்றீர்; பின்னர் அது கூளமாகி விடுகிறது; (உலக வாழ்வும் இத்தகையதே; எனவே உலக வாழ்வில் மயங்கியோருக்கு) மறுமையில் கடுமையன வேதனையுண்டு; (முஃமின்களுக்கு) அல்லாஹ்வின் மன்னிப்பும், அவன் பொருத்தமும் உண்டு - ஆகவே, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை ஏமாற்றும் சொற்ப சுகமே தவிர (வேறு) இல்லை.

(மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் விளையாட்டும், வீணும், அலங்காரமும், (அது) உங்களுக்கிடையில் பெருமையடித்துக் கொள்வதும், செல்வங்களிலும், பிள்ளைகளிலும் (ஒருவருக்கொருவர்) அதிகபடுத்திக் கொள்வதும்தான். (இந்நிலை) ஒரு மழையைப் போன்றாகும், (அதன் மூலம் முளைத்த) பயிர்கள் நன்கு வளர்ந்து விவசாயிகளை அதிசயத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியது, பின்னர், அது காய்ந்து விடுகிறது, (அப்போது) அதை மஞ்சளாகிவிடுவதை நீர் காண்கின்றீர், பின்னர் அது சருகுகளாகிவிடுகின்றது (இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையும் அவ்வாறே இருக்கிறது), மறுமையிலோ, (அவர்களின் பலருக்குக்) கொடிய வேதனையும், (சிலருக்கு) அல்லாஹ்வின் மன்னிப்பும், பொருத்தமும் கிடைக்கின்றன, ஆகவே, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை (மனிதனை) மயக்கும் (சொற்ப) இன்பமேயன்றி வேறில்லை.

Know that the life of this world is no more than play, amusement, adornment, boasting among yourselves, and a competition in wealth and children. It is like plants that flourish after rain, pleasing the sowers, then they wither and you see them turning yellow, then they crumble. And in the Hereafter there will be severe punishment, or forgiveness from Allah and His pleasure. For the life of this world is no more than a fleeting enjoyment.

Sabiqoo ila maghfiratin min rabbikum wajannatin AAarduha kaAAardi alssamai waalardi oAAiddat lillatheena amanoo biAllahi warusulihi thalika fadlu Allahi yuteehi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi

Race with one another in hastening towards forgiveness from your Lord (Allâh), and Paradise the width whereof is as the width of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allâh and His Messengers. That is the Grace of Allâh which He bestows on whom He is pleased with. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty.

Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

ஆகவே, (மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனின் மன்னிப்பை நோக்கியும், சுவனபதியை நோக்கியும் முந்திச் செல்லுங்கள். அச்சுவனபதியின் விஸ்தீரணமோ வானம், பூமியின் விஸ்தீரணத்தைப்போல் இருக்கின்றது. அது அல்லாஹ்வையும் அவனுடைய தூதரையும் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களுக்காகவே தயார்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது. இது அல்லாஹ்வினுடைய அருளாகும். இதனை அவன் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கே கொடுக் கின்றான். அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான அருளாளன்!

உங்கள் இறைவனின் மன்னிப்பிற்கும் சுவர்க்கத்திற்கும் நீங்கள் முந்துங்கள்; அச்சுவர்க்கத்தின் பரப்பு, வானத்தினுடையவும், பூமியினுடையவும் பரப்பைப் போன்றதாகும்; எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதும், அவன் தூதர் மீதும் ஈமான் கொள்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு அது சித்தம் செய்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அது அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கிருபையாகும் - அதனை அவன் நாடியவருக்கு அளிக்கின்றான். இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான கிருபையுடையவன்.

(ஆகவே மனிதர்களே!) உங்கள் இரட்சகனின் மன்னிப்பின் பக்கமும், சுவனபதியின் பக்கமும் நீங்கள் முந்துங்கள், அதன் அகலம், வானம் மற்றும் பூமியின் அகலத்தைப் போன்றதாகும், அது அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதர்களையும் விசுவாசங்கொண்டோருக்காக தயாராக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது. அது அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பேரருளாகும்_அதனை அவன், தான் நாடியவருக்குக் கொடுக்கின்றான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான பேரருளுடையவன்.

Race one another towards forgiveness from your Lord and Paradise the width of which is like the width of the heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, for Allah is the Lord of great bounty.

Ma asaba min museebatin fee alardi wala fee anfusikum illa fee kitabin min qabli an nabraaha inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun

No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz) before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allâh.

No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy -

(பொதுவாக) பூமியிலோ அல்லது (சொந்தமாக) உங்களுக்கோ ஏற்படக்கூடிய எந்தக் கஷ்டமும், (நஷ்டமும்) அது ஏற்படுவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள் என்னும்) பதிவுப் புத்தகத்தில் பதிவு செய்யப்படாமல் இல்லை. நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக எளிதானதே!

பூமியிலோ, அல்லது உங்களிலோ சம்பவிக்கிற எந்தச் சம்பவமும் - அதனை நாம் உண்டாக்குவதற்கு முன்னரே (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள்) ஏட்டில் இல்லாமலில்லை; நிச்சயமாக அது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக எளிதானதேயாகும்.

எந்தத் துன்பமும்_அதனை நாம் சிருஷ்டிப்பதற்கு முன்னதாக, (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள் என்னும்) புத்தகத்தில் (பதியப்பட்டு) இருந்தே தவிர_பூமியிலோ, அல்லது உங்களிலோ ஏற்படுவதில்லை, நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக்க எளிதானதாகும்.

No calamity befalls the earth or yourselves but it is already written in a Record before We bring it into existence. That is indeed easy for Allah –

Likayla tasaw AAala ma fatakum wala tafrahoo bima atakum waAllahu la yuhibbu kulla mukhtalin fakhoorin

In order that you may not grieve at the things over that you fail to get, nor rejoice over that which has been given to you. And Allâh likes not every prideful boaster.

In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -

உங்களை விட்டும் தப்பிப் போனதைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் கவலை கொள்ளாதிருக்கவும் (அல்லாஹ்) உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் கர்வம் கொள்ளாதிருக்கவும். (இதனை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கின்றான்). அல்லாஹ், கர்வம் கொள்பவர்களையும் பெருமையடிப்பவர்களையும் நேசிப்பதில்லை.

உங்களை விட்டுத் தவறிப்போன ஒன்றின் மீது நீங்கள் துக்கப்படாமல் இருக்கவும், அவன் உங்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றின் மீது நீங்கள் (அதிகம்) மகிழாதிருக்கவும் (இதனை உங்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் அறிவிக்கிறான்); கர்வமுடையவர்கள், தற்பெருமை உடையவர்கள் எவரையும் அல்லாஹ் நேசிப்பதில்லை.

உங்களுக்கு தவறிவிட்டதின் மீது நீங்கள் கவலைப்படாமலிருப்பதற்காகவும், (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் (வரம்புமீறி) மகிழ்ச்சி கொள்ளாதிருப்பதற்காகவும் (இதனை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கின்றான்), கர்வங்கொண்டு, தற்பெருமையடிப்போர் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் அல்லாஹ் நேசிப்பதில்லை.

so that you may not grieve over what you have missed, nor exult over what He has given you, for Allah does not love anyone who is conceited and boastful –

Allatheena yabkhaloona wayamuroona alnnasa bialbukhli waman yatawalla fainna Allaha huwa alghaniyyu alhameedu

Those who are misers and enjoin upon people miserliness (Allâh is not in need of their charity). And whosoever turns away (from Faith – Allâh's Monotheism), then Allâh is the Rich (Free of all needs), the Worthy of all praise.

[Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

எவர்கள் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்து, மற்ற மனிதர்களையும் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்யும்படி தூண்டுகிறார்களோ (அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனையுண்டு. ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளைகளை) எவன் புறக்கணிக்கின்றானோ (அது அவனுக்குத் தான் நஷ்டத்தை உண்டுபண்ணும். அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு யாதொரு நஷ்டமும் ஏற்படாது.) ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பெரும் சீமானாகவும் பெரும் புகழுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

எவர்கள் உலோபித்தனம் செய்து உலோபித்தனம் செய்யுமாறு மனிதர்களையும் ஏவுகிறார்களோ; எவர் (அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளைகளைப்) புறக்கணிக்கிறாரோ - (இவர்களே நஷ்டவாளிகள்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (எவரிடமும்) தேவையற்றவன். புகழ் மிக்கவன்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், உலோபத்தனம் செய்வார்கள், (மற்ற) மனிதர்களையும் உலோபத்தனத்தைக் கொண்டு ஏவுவார்கள், இன்னும், எவர் (தன் பொருளைச் செலவு செய்வதிலிருந்து) புறக்கணித்து விடுகிறாரோ, அப்பொழுது நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்_அவனே தேவையற்றவன், பெரும் புகழுடையவன்.

those who are stingy and promote stinginess among people. And those who turn away, then Allah is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

Laqad arsalna rusulana bialbayyinati waanzalna maAAahumu alkitaba waalmeezana liyaqooma alnnasu bialqisti waanzalna alhadeeda feehi basun shadeedun wamanafiAAu lilnnasi waliyaAAlama Allahu man yansuruhu warusulahu bialghaybi inna Allaha qawiyyun AAazeezun

Indeed We have sent Our Messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance (justice) that mankind may keep up justice. And We brought forth iron wherein is mighty power (in matters of war), as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allâh may test who it is that will help Him (His religion) and His Messengers in the unseen. Verily, Allâh is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

நாம் நம்முடைய தூதர்களைத் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டே அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அத்துடன் அவர்களுக்கு வேதத்தையும் கொடுத்தோம். மனிதர்கள் நீதமாக நடந்துகொள்ளும் பொருட்டு தராசையும் கொடுத்தோம். இரும்பையும் நாமே படைத்தோம். அதில் பெரும் சக்தி இருக்கின்றது; இன்னும் மனிதர்களுக்கு பல பயன்களும் உள்ளன. அல்லாஹ்வைக் (கண்ணால்) காணாமலேயே (அவனை நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு) இதன் மூலம் அவனுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் உதவி செய்பவர்கள் யார் என்பதை அல்லாஹ் (சோதித்து) அறிந்துகொள்கின்றான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பலசாலியும் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக நம் தூதர்களைத் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் அனுப்பினோம்; அன்றியும், மனிதர்கள் நீதியுடன் நிலைப்பதற்காக, அவர்களுடன் வேதத்தையும் (நீதத்தின்) துலாக்கோலையும் இறக்கினோம்; இன்னும், இரும்பையும் படைத்தோம்; அதில் கடும் அபாயமுமிருக்கிறது; எனினும் (அதில்) மனிதர்களுக்குப் பல பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன - (இவற்றின் மூலமாகத்) தனக்கும், தன்னுடைய தூதருக்கும் மறைமுகமாகவும் உதவி செய்பவர் எவர் என்பதையும் (சோதித்) அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காக அல்லாஹ் (இவ்வாறு அருள்கிறான்); நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பலம் மிக்கவன், (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.  

நிச்சயமாக நாம், நம்முடைய தூதர்களை (அத்தாட்சிகளில்) தெளிவானவற்றுடன் அனுப்பிவைத்தோம், அவர்களுடன் வேதத்தையும், மனிதர்கள் நீதியைக் கொண்டு நிலைத்திருப்பதற்காக தராசையும் இறக்கினோம், இன்னும், இரும்பையும் நாமே இறக்கினோம், அதில் (போருக்கு வேண்டிய) கடுமையான சக்தியும், மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன. இதன் மூலம் அவனுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதர்களுக்கும் மறைவாக உதவி செய்வோர் யார் என்பதை அல்லாஹ் (சோதித்து) அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காகவும் (இவ்வாறு செய்துள்ளான்), நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வலிமை மிக்கவன், (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.

We have sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and sent down with them the Scripture and the criteria of justice, so that the people may uphold justice. And We sent down iron, in which there is great might and benefits for people, so that Allah may make known those who help His cause and His messengers without seeing Him. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

Walaqad arsalna noohan waibraheema wajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihima alnnubuwwata waalkitaba faminhum muhtadin wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona

And indeed, We sent Nûh (Noah) and Ibrâhîm (Abraham), and placed in their offspring Prophethood and Scripture. And among them there are some who are guided; but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

நூஹையும், இப்ராஹீமையும் மெய்யாகவே நாம்தாம் நம்முடைய தூதர்களாக அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளுக்குள்ளாகவே நபிப்பட்டத்தையும் வேதத்தையும் (சொந்தமாக) ஆக்கினோம். ஆயினும், நேரான வழியில் சென்றவர்கள் அவர்க(ள் சந்ததிக)ளில் சிலர்தாம். அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலரோ பாவிகளாகி விட்டனர்.

அன்றியும், திடமாக நாமே நூஹையும், இப்ராஹீமையும் (தூதர்களாக) அனுப்பினோம்; இன்னும், அவ்விருவரின் சந்ததியில் நுபுவ்வத்தை (நபித்துவத்தை)யும் வேதத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தினோம்; (அவர்களில்) நேர்வழி பெற்றவர்களும் உண்டு; எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் ஃபாஸிக்குகளாக - பாவிகளாக இருந்தனர்.

மேலும், நூஹையும், இப்றாஹீமையும் திட்டமாக நாம் (நம்முடைய தூதர்களாக) அனுப்பிவைத்தோம், அவ்விருவருடைய சந்ததியில் நபித்துவத்தையும், வேதத்தையும் ஆக்கியிருந்தோம், அவர்களில் நேர்வழி பெற்றோரும் இருந்தனர், இன்னும் அவர்களில் பெரும்போலோர் பாவிகளாக இருந்தனர்.

We sent Noah and Abraham, and gave prophethood and Scripture to their offspring: some among them are guided, but most of them are evildoers.

Thumma qaffayna AAala atharihim birusulina waqaffayna biAAeesa ibni maryama waataynahu alinjeela wajaAAalna fee quloobi allatheena ittabaAAoohu rafatan warahmatan warahbaniyyatan ibtadaAAooha ma katabnaha AAalayhim illa ibtighaa ridwani Allahi fama raAAawha haqqa riAAayatiha faatayna allatheena amanoo minhum ajrahum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona

Then, We sent after them Our Messengers, and We sent 'خsâ (Jesus), — son of Maryam (Mary), and gave him the Injîl (Gospel). And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him, compassion and mercy. But the monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allâh therewith, but that they did not observe it with the right observance. So, We gave those among them who believed, their (due) reward; but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

ஆகவே, (சென்றுபோன நூஹ், இப்ராஹீமுக்குப் பின்னர்) அவர்களுடைய வழியைப் பின்பற்றி (நடக்கக்கூடிய) தூதர் பலரை ஒருவருக்குப் பின் ஒருவராக அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அவ்வாறே, மர்யமுடைய மகன் ஈஸாவையும் (அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னர், அவர்களைப் பின்பற்றி நடக்குமாறு) அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். இவரைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில், கிருபையையும் இரக்கத்தையும் உண்டுபண்ணினோம். (உலகத்தின் எல்லா இன்பங்களையும் துறந்து விடக்கூடிய) துறவித்தனத்தை நாம் அவர்கள் மீது கடமையாக விதிக்கவில்லை. எனினும், அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப்பொருத்தத்தை அடைய விரும்பி, அவர்களே அதனை உண்டுபண்ணிக் கொண்டார்கள். அவ்வாறிருந்தும், அதனை அனுசரிக்க வேண்டிய முறைப்படி அவர்கள் அனுசரிக்க வில்லை. ஆயினும், (நபியே!) அவர்களில் எவர்கள் (மெய்யாகவே உங்களை) நம்பிக்கை கொள்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களுடைய கூலியை நாம் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்போம். எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் (உங்களை நிராகரிக்கும்) பாவிகளாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

பின்னர் அவர்களுடைய (அடிச்) சுவடுகளின் மீது (மற்றைய) நம் தூதர்களைத் தொடரச் செய்தோம்; மர்யமின் குமாரர் ஈஸாவை (அவர்களை)த் தொடரச் செய்து, அவருக்கு இன்ஜீலையும் கொடுத்தோம் - அன்றியும், அவரைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களின் இதயங்களில் இரக்கத்தையும் கிருபையையும் உண்டாக்கினோம்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் தாங்களே புதிதாக உண்டாக்கிக் கொண்ட துறவித்தனத்தை நாம் அவர்கள் மீது விதிக்கவில்லை. அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப்பொருத்தத்தை அடைய வேண்டியேயன்றி (அவர்களே அதனை உண்டுபண்ணிக் கொண்டார்கள்); ஆனால் அதைப் பேணுகிற அளவுக்கு அவர்கள் அதைச் சரிவரப் பேனவில்லை - அப்பால், அவர்களில் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய (நற்)கூலியை நாம் வழங்கினோம்; எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும் பாலோர் ஃபாஸிக்குகளாக - பாவிகளாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

(ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்குப்) பின்னர், அவர்களுடைய (அடிச்)சுவடுகளின் மீது (ஏனைய) தூதர்களை ஒருவர் பின் ஒருவராக நாம் தொடரச் செய்தோம், அவ்வாறே மர்யமுடைய மகன் ஈஸாவையும் நாம் தொடரச் செய்தோம், அவருக்கு இன்ஜீலையும் (வேதமாக) நாம் கொடுத்தோம், இவரைப் பின்பற்றி இருந்தவர்களுடைய இதயங்களில், இரக்கத்தையும், கிருபையையும் நாம் ஆக்கினோம், இன்னும் துறவறத்தை_அதை அவர்கள் புதிதாக உண்டாக்கிக் கொண்டார்கள், அதை அவர்கள் மீது (கடமையாக) நாம் விதிக்கவில்லை, எனினும், அல்லாஹ்வின் பொருத்தத்தைத் தேடியே (அவர்கள் அதனை உண்டாக்கிக் கொண்டார்கள்). பின்னர், அதனைப் பேணுகின்ற முறைப்படி அவர்கள் அதைப்பேணவில்லை, (அதன்) பின், (நபியே!) அவர்களில் விசுவாசம் கொண்டிருந்தார்களே அத்தகையோருக்கு_அவர்களுடைய கூலியை நாம் கொடுத்தோம், (எனினும்,) அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (நீர் கொண்டுவந்ததை நிராகரிக்கும்) பாவிகளாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

Then We sent Our messengers in their footsteps, and We sent after them Jesus, son of Mary; We gave him the Gospel, and instilled kindness and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. As for monasticism, they invented it – We did not prescribe it for them – seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure, yet they did not observe it faithfully. So We gave those among them who believed their reward, but most of them are evildoers.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waaminoo birasoolihi yutikum kiflayni min rahmatihi wayajAAal lakum nooran tamshoona bihi wayaghfir lakum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun

O you who believe [in Mûsâ (Moses) (i.e. Jews) and 'خsâ (Jesus) (i.e. Christians)]! Fear Allâh, and believe in His Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), He will give you a double portion of His Mercy, and He will give you a light by which you shall walk (straight). And He will forgive you. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

ஆகவே, (ஈஸாவை) நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட (கிறிஸ்த)வர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து, அவனுடைய இத்தூதரை (முஹம்மதை)யும் நம்பிக்கைக் கொள்ளுங்கள். உங்களுக்கு அவனுடைய அருளிலிருந்து (ஈஸாவை நம்பிக்கைக் கொண்டதற்கு ஒரு பங்கும், இத்தூதரை நம்பிக்கைக் கொண்டதற்கு ஒரு பங்கும், ஆக) இரண்டு பங்கு கூலி கொடுப்பான். உங்களுக்கு (நேரான வழியை அறிவிக்கக்கூடிய இந்தக் குர்ஆன் என்னும்) ஒளியையும் கொடுப்பான். அதன் பிரகாசத்தைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் (நேரான வழியில்) செல்லலாம். (உங்களுடைய) குற்றங்களையும் உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்து விடுவான். அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவனும், மிக கிருபையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சி, அவனுடைய (இறுதித்) தூதர் மீதும் ஈமான் கொள்ளுங்கள்; அவன்தன் கிருபையிலிருந்து இரு மடங்கை உங்களுக்கு வழங்கி, ஓர் ஒளியையும் உங்களுக்கு அருள்வான்; அதைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் (நேர்வழி) நடப்பீர்கள்; இன்னும், உங்களுக்காக (உங்கள் குற்றங்களையும்) அவன் மன்னிப்பான் - அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க கிருபை உடையவன்.

ஆகவே, (ஈஸாவை) விசுவாசம் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து, அவனுடைய (இத்)தூதரையும் விசுவாசியுங்கள், உங்களுக்கு அவனுடைய அருளிலிருந்து இரண்டு பங்கு (கூலி) கொடுப்பான், உங்களுக்கு ஒளியையும் அவன் ஆக்குவான், நீங்கள் அதனைக் கொண்டு (நேர் வழியில்) நடப்பீர்கள், (உங்களுடைய பாவங்களையும்) உங்களுக்காக அவன் மன்னிப்பான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிக்கிறவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்.

O you who believe, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will give you a double share of His mercy, and will give you a light by which you walk, and forgive you, for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Lialla yaAAlama ahlu alkitabi alla yaqdiroona AAala shayin min fadli Allahi waanna alfadla biyadi Allahi yuteehi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi

So that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may know that they have no power whatsoever over the Grace of Allâh, and that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. And Allâh is the Owner of Great Bounty.

[This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

(இத்தூதரை நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களுக்கு) அல்லாஹ் வுடைய அருளில் யாதொரு பாகமும் கிடைக்காதென்று, வேதத்தை உடையவர்கள் எண்ணிக் கொள்ளாதிருக்கும் பொருட்டே (இதனை அவன் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தான்). அருள் அனைத்தும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் கையில்தான் இருக்கின்றன. அவன் விரும்பியவர் களுக்கு அதனை அளிக்கின்றான். அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான அருளுடையவன்.

அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருள் கொடையிலிருந்து யாதொன்றையும் பெறத் தாங்கள் சக்தியுடையவர்களல்லர் என்று வேதத்தை உடையவர்கள் எண்ணிக் கொள்ளாதிருக்கும் பொருட்டே (இவற்றை அவன் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கின்றான்); அன்றியும் அருள் கொடையெல்லாம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் கையிலேயே இருக்கின்றது; தான் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு அதனை அவன் அளிக்கின்றான் - அல்லாஹ்வே மகத்தான கிருபையுடையவன்.

(விசுவாசம் கொண்டோர்க்கு) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பேரருளிருந்து (கிடைத்த) எப்பொருளின் மீதும் (அதைப்பெற வேதக்காரர்களாகிய) அவர்கள் சக்தி பெறமாட்டார்கள் என வேதத்தையுடையவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காக (இதனை அவன் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தான்), மேலும், பேரருள் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் கையில் இருக்கிறது, அவன் நாடியவர்களுக்கு அதனை அளிக்கின்றான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான பேரருளுடையவன்.

[This is] so that the People of the Book may know that they have no power over anything of Allah’s bounty, and that all bounty is in the Hands of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills, for Allah is the Lord of great bounty.
