51 - adh-Dhariyat (The Scattering Winds)

Waalththariyati tharwan

By (the winds) that scatter dust;

By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing

(கடல் நீரை ஆவியாக்கிச் சிதறடிக்கும்) சூறாவளிகள் மீதும்,

(புழுதியைக் எழுப்பி) நன்கு பரத்தும் (காற்றுகள்) மீது சத்தியமாக!

புழுதியை பறக்கவிடும் காற்றுகளின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

By the winds that scatters [dust],

Faalhamilati wiqran

And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water;

And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]

(அந்த நீராவியை) சுமந்து செல்லும் மேகத்தின் மீதும்,

(மழைச்)சுமையைச் சுமந்து செல்பவற்றின் மீதும்,

(மழையின் கனத்தை) சுமந்து வரும் மேகங்களின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

and by the heavily-laden clouds with water,

Faaljariyati yusran

And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness;

And those [ships] sailing with ease

(பல பாகத்திற்கு அதனை) எளிதாகத் தாங்கிச் செல்லும் மேகத்தின் மீதும்,

பின்னர் (கடலில்) இலேசாகச் செல்பவற்றின் மீதும்,

(கடல்களில்) இலகுவாகச் செல்கின்றவைகளின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

and by the ships that sail with ease,

Faalmuqassimati amran

And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allâh's) Command;

And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter,

அதனைப் (பூமியின் பல பாகங்களில்) பிரித்துவிடும் மலக்குகளின் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

(பூமியிலுள்ளோருக்கு விதியானவற்றை அல்லாஹ்வின்) கட்டளைப்படி பங்கிடுவோர் மீதும் சத்தியமாக

கட்டளையைப் பங்கிடுவோர்(களான வானவர்)கள் மீதும் சத்தியமாக!

and by the angels who distribute [blessings] by His command.

Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqun

Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds) is surely true.

Indeed, what you are promised is true.

(செயலுக்குத் தக்க கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுமென்று) உங்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட வாக்குறுதி நிச்சயமாக உண்மையானதே.

நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கப் படுவதெல்லாம் உண்மையேயாகும்.

(நற்செயலுக்கு நற்கூலியும், தீயசெயலுக்கு தண்டனையும் உண்டென்று) நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கப் படுவதெல்லாம் உண்மையானதாகும்.

Indeed, what you are promised is true,

Wainna alddeena lawaqiAAun

And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen.

And indeed, the recompense is to occur.

நிச்சயமாக (செயல்களுக்குரிய) கூலி கொடுக்கப்பட்டே தீரும்.

அன்றியும், (நன்மை, தீமைக்குரிய) கூலி வழங்குவதும் நிச்சயமாக நிகழ்வதேயாகும்.

நிச்சயமாக, (செயலுக்குத் தக்க) கூலி கொடுக்கப்படுவது நடந்தே தீரும்.

and the Judgment will surely come to pass.

Waalssamai thati alhubuki

By the heaven full of paths,

By the heaven containing pathways,

(நட்சத்திரங்களின்) அழகிய பாதைகளுடைய வானத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

அழகு நிரம்பிய வானத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

பாதைகளையுடைய வானத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக,

By the heaven with its pathways,

Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifin

Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] and the Qur'ân).

Indeed, you are in differing speech.

நீங்கள் (சத்தியத்திற்கு) மாறாகப் பேசுவதில் நிலைத்து விட்டீர்கள்.

நீங்கள் (குர்ஆனைப் பற்றி) முரண்பட்ட பேச்சிலேயே இருக்கின்றீர்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள், (நபியைப்பற்றி) மாறுபட்ட கூற்றில் இருக்கின்றீர்கள்.

Indeed, you [Makkans] have conflicting views [about the truth].

Yufaku AAanhu man ofika

Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] and the Qur'ân) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allâh).

Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded.

ஏற்கனவே, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கற்பனையின்படி) திருப்பப் பட்டவனே சத்தியத்தை விட்டும் திருப்பப்படுவான்.

அ(வ் வேதத்)திலிருந்து திருப்பப்பட்டவன் (இப்பொழுதும்) திருப்பப்படுகிறான்.

(அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதர் கொண்டுவந்த உண்மையான விஷயங்கள் ஏற்பதைவிட்டும்) திருப்பபட்டவர் (வேதமாகிய) அதை விட்டும் திருப்பப்படுகிறார்.

He who is diverted from it is destined to be diverted.

Qutila alkharrasoona

Cursed be the liars,

Destroyed are the falsifiers

பொய் சொல்பவர்கள் அழிந்தே போவர்.

பொய் சொல்பவர்கள் அழிந்தே போவார்கள்.

பொய்யர்கள் அழிந்தேபோவர்.

Doomed are those who base their beliefs on conjecture.

Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoona

Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter),

Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் மடமையால் (மறுமையையே) மறந்து விட்டனர்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் மடமையினால் மறதியில் இருக்கின்றனர்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் (தங்கள்) மடமையால், (மறுமையையே மறந்தோராய் இருப்போர் (ஆவர்).

those who are steeped in ignorance heedlessly.

Yasaloona ayyana yawmu alddeeni

They ask: "When will be the Day of Recompense?"

They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"

அவர்கள், "கூலி கொடுக்கும் நாள் எப்பொழுது வரும்?" என்று (பரிகாசமாகக்) கேட்கின்றனர்.

(நன்மை, தீமைக்குக்) “கூலி கொடுக்கும் நாள் எப்போது வரும்?” என்று அவர்கள் கேட்கின்றனர்.

“கூலி கொடுக்கும் நாள் எப்பொழுது (வரும்)?” என்று அவர்கள் (பரிகாசமாகக்) கேட்கின்றனர்.

They ask [mockingly], “When is the Day of Judgment?”

Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona

(It will be) a Day when they will be tried (punished, i.e. burnt) over the Fire!

[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire

அந்நாளில் அவர்கள், நெருப்பில் பொசுக்கி வேதனை செய்யப்படுவார்கள்.

நெருப்பிலே அவர்கள் சோதிக்கப்படும் நாளாகும் அது (என்று நபியே! நீர் கூறும்).

(அந்நாள்) அவர்கள் நெருப்பில் (பொசுக்கப்பட்டு) தண்டிக்கப்படும் நாள்.

It is the Day when they will be punished by the Fire.

Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona

"Taste you your trial (punishment, i.e. burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!"

[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."

(அவர்களை நோக்கி) "உங்கள் வேதனையை சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள். நீங்கள் (எப்பொழுது வருமென்று) அவசரப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களோ அது இதுதான்" (என்றும் கூறப்படும்).

“உங்களுடைய சோதனையைச் சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள்;” எதனை நீங்கள் அவசரப்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களோ, இதுதான்.

(அவர்களிடம்) “உங்கள் தண்டனையைச் சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள் (எப்பொழுது வருமென்று) நீங்கள் எதனை அவசரப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களோ அது இது தான்” (என்றும் கூறப்படும்).

[It will be said], “Taste your punishment! This is what you were seeking to hasten.”

Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin

Verily, the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise),

Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,

நிச்சயமாக இறை அச்சமுடையவர்கள் சுவனபதியிலும், நீரருவிகளுக்கு அருகிலும் இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள், (சுவர்க்கத்தின்) சோலைகளிலும், நீரூற்றுகளிலும் இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக, பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள் (சுவனபதிகளின்) சோலைகளிலும், நீரூற்றுகளிலும் இருப்பார்கள்.

Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and springs,

Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineena

Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinûn (good-doers. See V.2:112).

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவன் கொடுப்பதை(த் திருப்தியுடன்) பெற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் இதற்கு முன்னர் நன்மையே செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள் தங்களிறைவன் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்ததை (திருப்தியுடன்) பெற்றுக் கொள்வார்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் இதற்கு முன்னர் நன்மை செய்வோராகவே இருந்தனர்.

அவர்கள், தங்களிரட்சகன் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததை (திருப்தியுடன்) எடுத்துக் கொண்டோராக (இருப்பர்), நிச்சயமாக, அவர்கள் அதற்கு முன்னர் நன்மை செய்வோராகவே இருந்தார்கள்.

receiving what their Lord will give them, for they were indeed doers of good beforehand.

Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoona

They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allâh) and praying, with fear and hope].

They used to sleep but little of the night,

அவர்கள் இரவில் வெகு சொற்ப (நேர)மே நித்திரை செய்வார்கள்.

அவர்கள் இரவில் மிகவும் சொற்ப நேரமேயன்றித் தூங்கமாட்டார்கள்.

இரவில் வெகு சொற்ப(நேர)மே தூங்கக் கூடியவர்களாக அவர்கள் இருந்தார்கள்.

They used to sleep but little at night,

Wabialashari hum yastaghfiroona

And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allâh) for forgiveness.

And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,

அவர்கள் விடியற்காலை நேரத்தில் (எழுந்து இறைவனை வணங்கி, தங்கள் இறைவனிடம்) மன்னிப்புக் கோரிக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்கள் விடியற் காலங்களில் (பிரார்த்தனைகளின் போது இறைவனிடம்) மன்னிப்புக் கோரிக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

மேலும், அவர்கள் விடியற்காலை(ஸஹர் நேரங்)களில் (எழுந்து அல்லாஹ்வை வணங்கி, தங்களிரட்சகனிடம்) மன்னிப்புக்கோரிக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

and before dawn they would seek forgiveness,

Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssaili waalmahroomi

And in their properties there was the right of the Sâ'il (the beggar who asked) and the Mahrûm (the poor who does not ask others).

And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.

அவர்களுடைய பொருள்களில் (வாய் திறந்து யாசகம்) கேட்பவர்களுக்கும், கேட்காதவர்களுக்கும் பாகமுண்டு.

அவர்களுடைய செல்வத்தில் இரப்போருக்கும், வசதியற்றோருக்கும் பாத்தியதை உண்டு.

இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்களில் கேட்போருக்கும், கேட்காதோருக்கும் உரிமையுண்டு.

and in their wealth, there was a share for the beggar and the destitute.

Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineena

And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty.

And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]

(அனைவருக்கும் தானம் செய்வார்கள்.) உறுதி(யாக நம்பிக்கை) கொண்டவர்களுக்குப் பூமியில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

உறுதியாக நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களுக்கு பூமியில் (பல) அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

மேலும், உறுதி(யாக விசுவாசங்)கொண்டவர்களுக்குப் பூமியில் அத்தாட்சிகளிருக்கின்றன.

On earth there are signs for those who are certain in faith,

Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroona

And also in your own selves. Will you not then see?

And in yourselves. Then will you not see?

உங்களுக்கு உள்ளாகவும் (பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன. அவைகளை) நீங்கள் ஆழ்ந்து கவனித்துப் பார்க்க வேண்டாமா?

உங்களுக்குள்ளேயும் (பல) அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன; (அவற்றை) நீங்கள் உற்று நோக்க வேண்டாமா?

உங்களுக்குள்ளேயும்_(பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன, அவைகளை) நீங்கள் (கவனித்துப்) பார்க்கமாட்டீர்களா?

and also in your own selves. Do you not see?

Wafee alssamai rizqukum wama tooAAadoona

And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised.

And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised.

உங்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட உங்களுடைய உணவு போன்றவை வானத்தில் இருக்கின்றன.

அன்றியும் வானத்தில் உங்கள் உணவும், (மற்றும்) நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கப் பட்டவையும் இருக்கின்றன.

மேலும், உங்களுடைய உணவும், (மற்றும்) நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கபட்டீர்களே அவையும் வானத்திலிருக்கின்றன.

And in the heaven is your provision and all that you are promised.

Fawarabbi alssamai waalardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoona

Then by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak.

Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.

வானம், பூமியின் இறைவனின் மீது சத்தியமாக! நிச்சயமாக இது (உங்கள் வார்த்தைகளை) நீங்கள்தாம் கூறுகின்றீர்கள் என்பதில் சந்தேகமில்லாதிருப்பதைப்போல் (இந்தக் குர்ஆனில் உள்ள அனைத்தும்) உண்மையானதாகும்.

ஆகவே, வானங்கள், பூமி ஆகியவற்றின் இறைவன் மீது ஆணையாக! நீங்கள் பேசிக்கொண்டிருப்பது உங்கள் வார்த்தையாக இருப்பது போன்று இது பிரத்தியட்சமான உண்மையாகும்.  

ஆகவே, வானம், மற்றும் பூமியுடைய இரட்சகன் மீது சத்தியமாக, (உங்கள் வார்த்தைகளை) நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் தாம் கூறுகின்றீர்கள் என்ப(தில் சந்தேகமில்லாதிருப்ப)தைப்போல, நிச்சயமாக இது_(இந்த குர் ஆனில் உள்ள யாவும்) உண்மையானதாகும்.

By the Lord of the heaven and earth, this [resurrection] is certainly as true as the fact that you can speak.

Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameena

Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrâîl (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrâhîm (Abraham)?

Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? -

(நபியே!) இப்ராஹீமுடைய மிக்க கண்ணியமுள்ள விருந்தினர்களின் விஷயம் உங்களுக்கு எட்டியிருக்கின்றதா?

இப்றாஹீமின் கண்ணியம் மிக்க விருந்தினர்களின் செய்தி உமக்கு வந்ததா?

(நபியே!) கௌரவத்திற்குரியவர்களான இப்றாஹீமுடைய விருந்தினர்களின் செய்தி உமக்கு வந்ததா?

Has there come to you the story of Abraham’s honored guests?

Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona

When they came in to him and said: "Salâm (peace be upon you)!" He answered: "Salâm (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me."

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown.

அவர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்தபோது (அவரை நோக்கி "உங்களுக்கு) சாந்தியும், சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக!" என்று கூறினார்கள். அதற்கு (இப்ராஹீம், "உங்களுக்கும்) சாந்தியும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக!" என்று கூறி, (இவர்கள் நாம்) அறியாத மக்களாக இருக்கின்றனரே! (என்று தன் மனத்தில் எண்ணிக் கொண்டு,)

அவர்கள், அவரிடம் பிரவேசித்த போது, (அவரை நோக்கி: “உங்களுக்கு) “ஸலாம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்; (அதற்கவர்), “(உங்களுக்கு) “ஸலாம்” என்று கூறினார். “இவர்கள் (நமக்கு) அறிமுகமில்லா சமூகத்தாராக (இருக்கின்றார்களே” என்று எண்ணிக் கொண்டார்).

அவர்கள், அவரிடம் நுழைந்தபொழுது “சாந்தி உண்டாவதாக!” என்று கூறினார்கள். (அதற்கு இப்றாஹீம் உங்களுக்கும்)” சாந்தி உண்டாவதாக!” என்று கூறி (இவர்கள் நமக்கு) அறிமுகமில்லாத சமூகத்தார் (என்று தன் மனதில் எண்ணிக்கொண்டு,)

When they came to him and said, “Peace.” He said, “Upon you be peace.” [saying to himself] “Unknown people!”

Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin

Then he turned to his household, and brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrâhîm (Abraham) was mainly cows].

Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf

விரைவாகத் தன் வீட்டினுள் சென்று கொழுத்ததொரு கன்றுவின் (பொரித்த) மாமிசத்தைக் கொண்டு வந்து,

எனினும் அவர் தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் விரைந்து சென்று, ஒரு கொழுத்த காளைக் கன்றை(ப் பொறித்துக்) கொண்டு வந்தார்.

பின்னர் தன் இல்லத்தாரிடம் விரைவாகச் சென்று (நெருப்பில் சுடப்பட்ட) கொழுத்தகாளைக் கன்றைக் கொண்டு வந்தார்.

Then he went quickly to his household, and came with a fat [roasted] calf,

Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloona

And placed it before them (saying): "Will you not eat?"

And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"

அதனை அவர்கள் முன் வைத்தார். (அதனை அவர்கள் புசிக்கவில்லை. ஆதலால், அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நீங்கள் புசிக்க மாட்டீர்களா?" என்று கேட்டார்.

அதை அவர்கள் முன் வைத்து, “நீங்கள் புசிக்க மாட்டீர்களா?” என்று கூறினார்.

பின்னர், அதனை அவர்கள் அருகில் வைத்தார். (அவர்கள் உண்ணாததால்) அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் உண்ணமாட்டீர்களா” என்று கேட்டார்.

and placed it before them and said, “Will you not eat?”

Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin

Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allâh and His religion of True Monotheism).

And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy.

(பின்னும் புசிக்காமலிருப்பதைக் கண்ட) அவர் இவர்களைப் பயந்தார். (இதனை அறிந்த அவர்கள் "இப்ராஹீமே!) நீங்கள் பயப்படாதீர்கள்" என்று கூறி, (இஸ்ஹாக் என்னும்) மிக்க ஞானமுள்ள மகனை அவருக்கு நற்செய்தி கூறினார்கள்.

(அவர்கள் அதைப் புசிக்காததால்,) அவருக்கு இவர்களைப் பற்றி உள்ளூர ஓர் அச்சம் ஏற்பட்டது, “(இதனை அறிந்த) அவர்கள், பயப்படாதீர்!” எனக் கூறினர்; அன்றியும், அவருக்கு அறிவு மிக்க புதல்வர் (பிறப்பார்) என்று நன்மாராயங் கூறினர்.

(பின்னும் புசிக்காமல் இருந்ததால் தன் மனதில்) அவர்கள் பற்றிய பயத்தை உணர்ந்தார். அப்போது “(இப்ராஹீமே! நீர் பயப்படாதீர்,” என்று அவர்கள் கூறினர், மேலும், (இஸ்ஹாக் என்னும்) அறிவார்ந்த ஆண் குழந்தை (அவருக்குப் பிறக்குமென்ற செய்தி)யைக் கொண்டு அவருக்கு நன்மாராயம் கூறினார்கள்.

He perceived a fear of them. They said, “Do not be afraid,” and gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable son.

Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun

Then his wife came forward with a loud voice; she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!"

And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"

(இதனைச் செவியுற்ற) அவருடைய மனைவி (ஸாரா) கூச்சலுடன் அவர்கள் முன்வந்து, தன் முகத்தில் அறைந்து கொண்டு "(நானோ) தள்ளாடிய கிழவி; அதிலும் மலடி. (எவ்விதம் எனக்குக் குழந்தை பிறக்கும்?)" என்று கூறினார்.

பின்னர் இதைக்கேட்ட அவருடைய மனைவியார் சப்தமிட்டவராக (அவர்கள்) எதிரில் வந்து, தம் முகத்தில் அடித்துக் கொண்டு “நான் மலட்டுக் கிழவியாயிற்றே!” என்று கூறினார்.

பின்னர், (இதனைச் செவியுற்ற) அவருடைய மனைவி (ஸாரா) உரத்த சப்தத்தில் அவர்கள் எதிரில் வந்து, தன் முகத்தில் அடித்துக் கொண்டு, “(நானோ) மலட்டுக்கிழவி (எவ்விதம் எனக்குக் குழந்தை பிறக்கும்?”) என்று கூறினார். (அதற்கவர்கள்),

His wife cried out loud, and struck her face [in astonishment] and said, “[I am] a barren old woman!”

Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu

They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower."

They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."

அதற்கவர்கள், "இவ்வாறே உங்களது இறைவன் கூறுகின்றான். நிச்சயமாக அவன் மிக ஞானமுள்ளவனும், அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனும் ஆவான்" என்றார்கள்

(அறிவு மிக்க புதல்வர் பிறப்பார் என்று:) “இவ்வாறே உம் இறைவன் கூறினான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் ஞானம் மிக்கவன்; (யாவற்றையும்,) நன்கறிந்தவன்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.  

“இவ்வாறே உமதிரட்சகன் கூறுகின்றான், நிச்சயமாக, அவனே தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையோன், (யாவையும்) நன்கறிந்தோன் என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “This is what your Lord said. Indeed, He is the All-Wise, All-Knowing.”

Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona

[Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O messengers?"

[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"

(பின்னர் இப்ராஹீம் மலக்குகளை நோக்கி) "தூதர்களே! உங்கள் காரியமென்ன? (எதற்காக நீங்கள் இங்கு வந்தீர்கள்?)" என்று கேட்டார்.

(பின்னர் இப்றாஹீம்:) “தூதர்களே! உங்களுடைய காரியம் என்ன?” என்று வினவினார்.

(பின்னர் இப்றாஹீம் மலக்குகளிடம்) “தூதர்களே! உங்கள் காரியமென்ன? (எதற்கு நீங்கள் இங்கு வந்தீர்கள்?) என்று கேட்டார்.

Abraham said, “Then what is your mission, O messengers?”

Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena

They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimûn (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allâh)

They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

அதற்கவர்கள் "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் (பெரும்) குற்றம் செய்யும் (லூத்தின்) மக்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்" என்று கூறினர்,

“குற்றவாளிகளான ஒரு சமூகத்தினர் பால் நாங்கள் நிச்சயமாக அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் குற்றவாளிகளான ஒரு சமூகத்தார் பால் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “We have been sent to a wicked people,

Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teenin

To send down upon them stones of baked clay.

To send down upon them stones of clay,

"நாங்கள், அவர்கள் மீது களி மண்ணால் செய்த (சுட்ட) கற்களை எறிவதற்காக (அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்")

“அவர்கள் மீது (சுட்ட) களிமண் கற்களை எறிவதற்காக (நாங்கள் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்)-

“நாங்கள், அவர்களின் மீது களிமண்ணால் செய்த (சுட்ட) கற்களை எறிவதற்காக (அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்).

to send down upon them stones of clay,

Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeena

Marked by your Lord for the Musrifûn (polytheists, criminals, sinners – those who trespass Allâh's set limits in evildoings by committing great sins).

Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."

"அது உங்களது இறைவனிடமே வரம்பு மீறியவர்களின் (பெயர்கள் எழுதப்பட்டு) அடையாளமிடப்பட்ட கற்கள்" (என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.)

“வரம்பு மீறியவர்களுக்காக உங்கள் இறைவனிடம் (அக்கற்கள்) அடையாள மிடப்பட்டவை.”

வரம்பு மீறியவர்களுக்காக, உமது இரட்சகனிடத்தில் (பெயர்கள் எழுதப்பட்டு) அடையாளமிடப்பட்டவைகளாக (அவை இருக்கின்றன.)”

marked by your Lord for the transgressors.”

Faakhrajna man kana feeha mina almumineena

So We brought out from therein the believers.

So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers.

ஆகவே, (அவர்கள் அழிவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே அவ்வூரில் இருந்த) நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை அதிலிருந்து நாம் வெளிப்படுத்தி விட்டோம்.

ஆகவே அவ்வூரில் இருந்த முஃமின்களை (முதலில்) நாம் வெளியேற்றி விட்டோம்.

ஆகவே (அவர்கள் அழிக்கப்படுவதற்கு முன்,) விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களிலிருந்து அ(ந்நரகத்)திலிருந்தவர்களை நாம் வெளியேற்றிவிட்டோம்.

We brought out those believers who were there,

Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeena

But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [of Lût (Lot) and his two daughters].

And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.

எனினும், அதில் (லூத்துடைய) ஒரு வீட்டாரைத் தவிர, நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஒருவரையும் நாங்கள் காணவில்லை.

எனவே, அதில் முஸ்லிம்களிலிருந்து ஒரு வீட்டாரைத் தவிர, ஒருவரையும் நாம் காணவில்லை.

பின்னர், அதில் முஸ்லிம்களிலிருந்து ஒரு வீட்டைத் தவிர (மற்றெதையும்) நாம் காணவில்லை.

but We only found in it one Muslim household [Lot's family].

Watarakna feeha ayatan lillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba alaleema

And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment.

And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.

துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனைக்குப் பயப்படுபவர்களுக்கு அதில் ஒரு படிப்பினையை விட்டு வைத்தோம்.

நோவினை தரும் வேதனையை அஞ்சுகிறார்களே அவர்களுக்கு நாம் இதில் ஓர் அத்தாட்சியை விட்டு வைத்தோம்.

மேலும், துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையை பயப்படுகிறார்களே அவர்களுக்கு அதில் ஓர் அத்தாட்சியை நாம் விட்டு வைத்தோம்.

And We left there a sign [as a lesson] for those who fear the painful punishment.

Wafee moosa ith arsalnahu ila firAAawna bisultanin mubeenin

And in Mûsâ (Moses) (too, there is a sign), when We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority.

And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.

மூஸாவுடைய (சரித்திரத்)திலும் (ஒரு படிப்பினை) இருக்கின்றது. தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் அவரை ஃபிர்அவ்னிடம் நாம் அனுப்பிய சமயத்தில்,

மேலும், மூஸாவி(ன் வரலாற்றி)லும் ஓர் அத்தாட்சி இருக்கிறது; நாம் அவரைத் தெளிவான ஆதாரத்துடன் ஃபிர்அவ்னிடத்தில் அனுப்பிய போது:

மேலும், மூஸாவி(ன் சரித்திரத்தி)லும்_(ஒரு படிப்பினை இருக்கின்றது), தெளிவான சான்றுடன் ஃபிர் அவ்னின்பால் அவரை நாம் அனுப்பியபோது,

And [there is a sign in the story of] Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proofs,

Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirun aw majnoonun

But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer or a madman."

But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman."

அவன் வலுவான தன் ஆட்சியின் கர்வத்தால் அவரைப் புறக்கணித்து, "இவரொரு சூனியக்காரர்; அல்லது பைத்தியக்காரர்" என்று கூறினான்.

அவன் தன் (ஆட்சி, செல்வம், படைகள் ஆகியவற்றின்) வல்லமையின் காரணமாக (அவரைப்) புறக்கணித்து: “இவர் ஒரு சூனியக்காரர், அல்லது பைத்தியக்காரர்” என்று கூறினான்.

அவன் தன்னுடைய (பக்கபலமென்று நினைத்த படைகள், அதிகாரம் ஆகியவற்றின்) பலத்தால் (அவரைப்) புறக்கணித்தான், இன்னும் (இவர்) சூனியக்காரர், அல்லது பைத்தியக்காரர் என்று அவன் கூறினான்.

But he and his supporters turned away, and he said about [Moses], “A magician or a madman!”

Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleemun

So, We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, for he was blameworthy.

So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.

ஆதலால், அவனையும் அவனுடைய படைகளையும் நாம் பிடித்துக் கடலில் எறிந்துவிட்டோம். அவன் என்றென்றுமே நிந்தனைக்குள்ளாகி விட்டான்.

ஆகவே, நாம் அவனையும், அவனுடைய படைகளையும் பிடித்து அவர்களைக் கடலில் எறிந்தோம்; அவன் நிந்தனைக்கும் ஆளாகி விட்டான்.

ஆதலால், அவனையும், அவனுடைய படைகளையும் நாம் பிடித்தோம், பின்னர் அவர்களைக் கடலில் எறிந்துவிட்டோம், அவனோ (என்றென்றுமே) நிந்தனைக்குள்ளாக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டான்.

So We seized him and his soldiers, and cast them into the sea while he was blameworthy.

Wafee AAadin ith arsalna AAalayhimu alrreeha alAAaqeema

And in 'آd (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind;

And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.

"ஆது" என்னும் மக்களிலும் (ஒரு படிப்பினையுண்டு.) அவர்கள் மீது நாம் நாசகரமானதொரு காற்றை அனுப்பிய சமயத்தில்,

இன்னும், “ஆது” (சமூகத்தாரிலும் ஒரு படிப்பினை இருக்கிறது); நாம் அவர்கள் மீது (நாசம் விளைவிக்கக் கூடிய) மலட்டுக்காற்றை அனுப்பிய போது;

‘ஆது’ வி(ன் சமூகத்தார்களி)லும்_(ஓர் அத்தாட்சி உண்டு) அவர்கள் மீது, நாம் (நாசகரமான) மலட்டுக் காற்றை அனுப்பிய சமயத்தில்,

And [there is a sign in the story of] ‘Ād, when We sent against them the devastating barren wind.

Ma tatharu min shayin atat AAalayhi illa jaAAalathu kaalrrameemi

It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins.

It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.

அது பட்டதையெல்லாம் தூசியா(க்கிப் பறக்கடி)க்காமல் விடவில்லை.

அ(க்காற்றான)து தன் எதிரில் பட்டதையெல்லாம் தூள் தூளாக்காமல் விடவில்லை.

எப்பொருளிலிருந்தும் அதன்மீது அ(க்காற்றன)து (கடந்து) வந்து, அதை மக்கிப் போனதைப் போன்று ஆக்கியே தவிர அது விட்டு வைக்கவில்லை.

It spared nothing it came upon except that it reduced it to ruin and decay.

Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heenin

And in Thamûd (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!"

And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."

"ஸமூது" என்னும் மக்களிலும் (ஒரு படிப்பினையுண்டு.) "நீங்கள் ஒரு காலம் வரையில் சுகமாக வாழ்ந்திருங்கள்" என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டதற்கு,

மேலும் “ஸமூது” (சமூகத்தாரிலும் ஒரு படிப்பினை இருக்கிறது); “ஒரு காலம் சுகம் அனுபவியுங்கள்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டபோது:

‘ஸமூது’ வி(ன் கூட்டத்தாரி)லும் (ஓர் அத்தாட்சியுண்டு) “நீங்கள் ஒரு காலம் வரையில் சுகம் அனுபவியுங்கள்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டபோது,

And [there is a sign in the story of] Thamūd, when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves for a while.”

FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathathumu alssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona

But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sâ'iqah overtook them while they were looking.

But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனின் கட்டளையை மீறினார்கள். ஆகவே, அவர்கள் (தங்களை அழிக்க வந்த மேகத்தைப்) பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பொழுதே அவர்களை ஓர் இடி முழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனுடைய கட்டளையை மீறினார்கள்; அவர்கள் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே (நில நடுக்கம் பேரிடி போன்ற) பயங்கரமான பெரும் சப்தம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது.

தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் கட்டளையை அவர்கள் மீறினார்கள், ஆகவே, அவர்கள் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பொழுதே, பயங்கரமான பெரும் சப்தம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டது.

But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them, while they were looking on.

Fama istataAAoo min qiyamin wama kanoo muntasireena

Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves.

And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.

ஆகவே, அவர்கள் நிற்கவும் முடியவில்லை. (உட்காரவும் முடியவில்லை;) நம்மிடம் பழிவாங்கவும் முடியவில்லை. (இருந்த வாறே அழிந்துவிட்டனர்.)

ஆகவே, அவர்கள் நிற்கவும் சக்தி பெற்றார்களில்லை; (எத்தகைய) உதவியும் பெற்றுக் கொள்ள முடியாதவர்களா(க மடிந்து) போயினர்.

ஆகவே, அவர்கள் நிற்கவும் சக்திபெறவில்லை, (நம்முடைய வேதனையிலிருந்து தப்பிக்க எவரிடமிருந்தும்) உதவி பெறுபவர்களாகவும் அவர்கள் இருக்கவில்லை.

They could not withstand it, nor could they ward it off.

Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena

(So were) the people of Nûh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.

இதற்கு முன்னர் (இருந்த) நூஹுடைய மக்களையும் (அழித்து விட்டோம்.) நிச்சயமாக அவர்களும் பாவம் செய்யும் மக்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

அன்றியும், இவர்களுக்கு முன்னால் நூஹுடைய சமூகத்தாரையும் (நினைவூட்டுவீராக); நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பாவம் செய்யும் சமூகத்தாராகவே இருந்தார்கள்.

(இவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும்) முன்னர் நூஹுடைய சமூகத்தாரையும் (நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம்) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள், பாவம் செய்யும் சமூகத்தாராகவே இருந்தனர்.

And the people of Noah [were also destroyed] before them. They were indeed a rebellious people.

Waalssamaa banaynaha biaydin wainna lamoosiAAoona

With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space (thereof),

And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.

(எவருடைய உதவியுமின்றி) நம்முடைய சக்தியைக் கொண்டே வானத்தை அமைத்தோம். நிச்சயமாக நாம் (அதனை அவர்களின் அறிவிற்கெல்லாம் எட்டாதவாறு) மிக்க விசால மாக்கியும் வைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

மேலும், நாம் வானத்தை (நம்) சக்திகளைக் கொண்டு அமைத்தோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாம் விரிவாற்றலுடையவராவோம்.

மேலும், வானத்தை (எவருடைய உதவியுமின்றி) நம்முடைய சக்தியைக் கொண்டே அதை நாம் அமைத்தோம், நிச்சயமாக நாம் (படைக்கின்ற காரியத்தில்) மிக்க விசாலத்தை உடையோராக இருக்கிறோம் (யாவும் நம் சக்திக்குட்பட்டதே).

We built the heaven with might, and We are indeed expanding it.

Waalarda farashnaha faniAAma almahidoona

And We have spread out the earth; how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We!

And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.

பூமியை நாம் (விசாலமாக) விரித்தோம். விரிப்பவர் களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலான விதத்தில் விரிப்பவர் நாமே.

இன்னும், பூமியை - நாம் அதனை விரித்தோம்; எனவே, இவ்வாறு விரிப்பவர்களில் நாமே மேம்பாடுடையோம்.

அன்றியும், பூமியை_அதனை நாம் (விசாலமாக) விரித்தோம், (அதனைச் சீர்படுத்தி செவ்வையாக்கி) விரிப்போரில் (நாம்) நல்லோராவோம்.

And We spread out the earth. How well did We smooth it out!

Wamin kulli shayin khalaqna zawjayni laAAallakum tathakkaroona

And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allâh).

And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember.

ஒவ்வொரு வஸ்துக்களையும் (ஆண், பெண் கொண்ட) ஜோடி ஜோடியாகவே நாம் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம். (இதனைக் கொண்டு) நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுவீர்களாக!

நீங்கள் சிந்தித்து நல்லுணர்வு பெறுவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் ஜோடி ஜோடியாக நாம் படைத்தோம்.

நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு பொருளிலிருந்தும் (ஆண், பெண் கொண்ட) இருவகையை நாம் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

And We have created everything in pairs, so that you may take heed.

Fafirroo ila Allahi innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun

So, flee to Allâh (from His torment to His Mercy – Islâmic Monotheism). Verily, I (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) am a plain warner to you from Him.

So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

ஆகவே, (பாவத்திலிருந்து விலகி) அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கம் வெகு தீவிரமாக நீங்கள் விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக நான் அவனைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்குப் பகிரங்கமாகவே அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறேன்.

ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கம் விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக, நான் அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவனாகவே இருக்கின்றேன் (என்று நபியே! நீர் கூறுவீராக).

ஆகவே, “(நிராகரிப்பு, பாவம் ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து விலகி), அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கம் நீங்கள் விரைந்து செல்லுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நான், அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்குக் தெளிவாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவ(னாக இருக்கிறே)ன்,

So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.

Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun

And set not up (or worship not) any other ilâh (god) along with Allâh [Glorified is He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) am a plain warner to you from Him.

And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறொரு வணக்கத்திற்குரிய நாயனை ஆக்காதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக நான், அவன் புறத்தால் உங்களுக்கு (இதைப்பற்றியும்) பகிரங்கமாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவராக இருக்கின்றேன்.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு நாயனை (இணையாக) ஆக்காதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக, நான் அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவனாகவே - இருக்கின்றேன் (என்றும் கூறும்).

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறொரு (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) நாயனை ஆக்காதீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக நான், அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களுக்கு தெளிவாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவன் (என்று நபியே! நீர் கூறுவீராக!).

And do not set up another god with Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.”

Kathalika ma ata allatheena min qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirun aw majnoonun

Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!"

Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."

இவ்வாறே இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும், அவர்களிடம் எந்தத் தூதர் வந்தபோதிலும், அவரை சூனியக்காரன் அல்லது பைத்தியக்காரன் என்று கூறாமலிருக்கவில்லை.

இவ்வாறே, இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களிடம் (நம்) தூதர்களிலிருந்து ஒருவர் வரும் போதெல்லாம், அவர்கள் (அவரை) சூனியக்காரர், அல்லது பைத்தியக்காரர் என்று கூறாமல் இருந்ததில்லை.

இவ்வாறே அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தார்களே அவர்களுக்கு எந்த தூதரும் வந்ததில்லை, (அவர்களிடம் வந்த அத்தூதரை) சூனியக்காரர் அல்லது பைத்தியக்காரர் என்று அவர்கள் கூறியே தவிர

Likewise, no messenger came to those before them without being told: “A magician, or a madman!”

Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoona

Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)!

Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.

(இவ்வாறு கூறும்படியே) அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள் (பரம் பரையாக) ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து வந்தனர் போலும்! அன்று. அவர்கள் (இயற்கையிலேயே இவ்வாறு கூறக்கூடிய) அநியாயக்கார மக்களாக இருந்தனர்.

இவ்வாறுதான் அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள் (நம் தூதர்களைப் பழிக்க வேண்டுமென) ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து கொண்டனரா? அன்று, அவர்கள் அக்கிரமக்கார சமூகத்தாராகவே இருந்தனர்.

இவ்வாறு (கூறுமாறே) அவர்கள் (தங்களுக்குள் பரம்பரையாக) ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து வந்தனரா? இல்லை! அவர்கள் (இயற்கையிலேயே) அட்டூழியம் செய்யும் கூட்டத்தாராவர்.

Did they suggest this to one another? Rather they are a transgressing people.

Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloomin

So turn away (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) from them (Quraish pagans), you are not blameworthy (as you have conveyed Allâh's Message).

So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் அவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடுங்கள். (அவர்கள் நிராகரிப்பதைப் பற்றி) நீங்கள் நிந்திக்கப்பட மாட்டீர்கள்.

ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் அவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து (விலகி) விடும்; (அப்படி நீர் விலகிவிடுவீராயின் அதற்காக) நீர் பழிக்கப்படமாட்டீர்.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீர் அவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடுவீராக! (அதற்காக) நீர் நிந்திக்கபடுபவரல்லர்.

So turn away from them [O Prophet], for you are not to blame.

Wathakkir fainna alththikra tanfaAAu almumineena

And remind (by preaching the Qur'ân, O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), for verily, the reminding profits the believers.

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் நல்லுபதேசம் செய்யுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக நல்லுபதேசம் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கும்.

மேலும், நீர் நல்லுபதேசம் செய்வீராக! ஏனெனில், நிச்சயமாக நல்லுபதேசம் முஃமின்களுக்கு நற்பயனளிக்கும்.

மேலும் (நபியே!) நீர் நல்லுபதேசம் செய்வீராக! ஏனென்றால் நிச்சயமாக நல்லுபதேசம் விசுவாசிகளுக்குப் பயனளிக்கும்.

But keep reminding them, for reminder benefits the believers.

Wama khalaqtu aljinna waalinsa illa liyaAAbudooni

And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone).

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

ஜின்களையும், மனிதர்களையும் (எனக்கு வழிப்பட்டு) என்னை வணங்குவதற்கன்றி (வேறெதற்காகவும்) நான் படைக்க வில்லை.

இன்னும், ஜின்களையும், மனிதர்களையும் அவர்கள் என்னை வணங்குவதற்காகவேயன்றி நான் படைக்கவில்லை.

மேலும், ஜின்களையும், மனிதர்களையும் என்னை அவர்கள் வணங்குவதற்காகவே தவிர நான் படைக்கவில்லை.

I have not created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wama oreedu an yutAAimooni

I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures).

I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.

அவர்களிடத்தில் நான் யாதொரு பொருளையும் கேட்க வில்லை. அன்றி, எனக்கு உணவு கொடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்குமாறும் கோரவில்லை. (ஆகவே,)

அவர்களிடமிருந்து எந்த பொருளையும் நான் விரும்பவில்லை. எனக்கு அவர்கள் உணவு அளிக்க வேண்டுமென்றும் நான் விரும்பவில்லை.

அவர்களிடத்தில் (என் படைப்புகளுக்காக) நான் யாதொரு உணவையும் நாடவில்லை, அன்றியும், எனக்கு அவர்கள் உணவளிப்பதையும் நான் நாடவில்லை.

I seek no provision from them, nor do I want them to feed Me.

Inna Allaha huwa alrrazzaqu thoo alquwwati almateenu

Verily, Allâh is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.

Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.

(நபியே! நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்:) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் அனைவருக்கும் உணவளிப்பவனும், அசைக்கமுடியாத பலசாலியுமாவான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் உணவு அளித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பவன்; பலம் மிக்கவன்; உறுதியானவன்.

(நபியே! நீர் கூறுவீராக:) “நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்_அவன்தான் (யாவருக்கும்) மிக்க உணவளிப்பவன், பலமுடையவன், உறுதியானவன்.”

Indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Provider, Lord of Power, the Mighty.

Fainna lillatheena thalamoo thanooban mithla thanoobi ashabihim fala yastaAAjiloona

And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on!

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me.

இவ்வக்கிரமக்காரர்களின் நண்பர்களுக்கிருந்த (நன்மை தீமையை அளக்கக்கூடிய) அளவுப்படியைப் போலவே, நிச்சயமாக இவர்களுக்கும் அளவுப்படிகளுண்டு. (அவைகள் நிறைந்ததும் வேதனையைக் கொண்டு இவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொள்வோம்.) ஆதலால், நீங்கள் அவசரப்படாதீர்கள்.

எனவே, அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டிருப்போருக்கு, அவர்களுடைய தோழர்களுக்கு வேதனையிலிருந்து ஒரு பங்கு இருந்தது போல், ஒரு பங்கு நிச்சயமாக உண்டு; ஆகவே, (தண்டனைக்காக) அவர்கள் என்னை அவசரப்படுத்த வேண்டாம்.

எனவே, நிச்சயமாக அநியாயம் செய்து விட்டார்களே, அவர்களுக்கு (முன் வாழ்ந்த) அவர்களுடைய சிநேகிதர்களுக்கிருந்த பங்கைப்போன்று (வேதனையில்) பங்குண்டு ஆகவே, அவர்கள் (தண்டனைக்காக என்னிடம்) அவசரப்படவேண்டாம்.

Indeed, those who do wrong will have a share [of [punishment] like that of their predecessors, so let them not ask Me to hasten it.

Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min yawmihimu allathee yooAAadoona

Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Allâh and His Oneness – Islâmic Monotheism) from their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment).

And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.

(விசாரணையைப் பற்றிப் பாவிகளுக்கு) வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட நாளில் இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்குக் கேடுதான்.

ஆகவே, காஃபிர்களுக்கு அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட அவர்களுடைய நாளில், கேடுதான்.

ஆகையால், நிராகரித்தோருக்கு_ அவர்கள் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்களே அத்தகைய அவர்களுடைய நாளில் கேடுதான்.

So woe to those who disbelieve from [the punishment of] the Day which they are promised.
