47 - Muhammad (Muhammad).

Allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi adalla aAAmalahum

Those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh, and in the Message of Prophet Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and hinder (men) from the path of Allâh (Islâmic Monotheism), He will render their deeds vain.

Those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of Allah - He will waste their deeds.

எவர்கள், (இவ்வேதத்தை) நிராகரித்து விட்டதுடன், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் (மனிதர்கள்) செல்வதையும் தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ, அவர்களின் செயல்களை அவன் பயனற்றதாக்கி விட்டான்.

எவர்கள் (சன்மார்க்கத்தை) நிராகரித்தும், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டும் (மனிதர்களைத்) தடுத்தும் கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை (அல்லாஹ்) பயனில்லாமல் ஆக்கிவிட்டான்.

(அல்லாஹ்வின் அத்தாட்சிகளை) நிராகரித்துவிட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை (அதில் மனிதர்கள் செல்வதை) விட்டும் தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களின் செயல்களை (பயனற்றதாக்கி) அவன் வீணாக்கி விட்டான்.

Those who disbelieve and prevent others from Allah’s way, He will render their deeds void.

Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati waamanoo bima nuzzila AAala muhammadin wahuwa alhaqqu min rabbihim kaffara AAanhum sayyiatihim waaslaha balahum

But those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is sent down to Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] – for it is the truth from their Lord – He will expiate from them their sins, and will make good their state.

And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.

எவர்கள், (அல்லாஹ்வை) நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களையும் செய்து, முஹம்மது (நபி (ஸல்)) பேரில் இறைவனால் இறக்கப்பட்ட உண்மையான இவ்வேதத்தையும் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ, அவர்கள் (தவறாகச் செய்த) பாவத்திற்கு இதனைப் பரிகாரமாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய காரியங் களையும் அவன் சீர்படுத்தி விட்டான்.

ஆனால், எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு, ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்து, முஹம்மது மீது இறக்கி அருளப்பட்ட (வேதத்)தின் மீது - இது அவர்களுடைய இறைவனிடமிருந்து (வந்து)ள்ள உண்மையாக இருக்கிறது என்று நம்பிக்கை கொள்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய தீமைகளை அவர்களை விட்டும் போக்கி, அவர்களுடைய நிலையையும் சீராக்குகின்றான்.

இன்னும், (அல்லாஹ்வை) விசுவாசித்து, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்து, முஹம்மது மீது இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட்டதையும்_அது தங்கள் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மை(யான வேதம்) ஆக இருக்கும் நிலையில்_விசுவாசித்திருந்தார்களே அத்தகையவர்களின் தீயவைகளை அவர்களை விட்டுப் போக்கி, அவர்களுடைய நிலைமையையும் (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் சீர் படுத்திவிட்டான்.

As for those who believe, do righteous deeds, and believe in what has been sent down to Muhammad – which is the truth from their Lord – He will absolve them of their sins and set their condition right.

Thalika bianna allatheena kafaroo ittabaAAoo albatila waanna allatheena amanoo ittabaAAoo alhaqqa min rabbihim kathalika yadribu Allahu lilnnasi amthalahum

That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allâh set forth for mankind their parables.

That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons.

ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் பொய்யையே பின்பற்றி இருந்தார்கள். நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களோ, நிச்சயமாகத் தங்கள் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மையையே பின்பற்றி இருந்தார்கள். இவ்வாறே (மற்ற) மனிதர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் அவர்களின் நிலைமையை உதாரணமா(கக் கூறித் தெளிவா)க்கு கின்றான்.

இது ஏனெனில்: நிராகரிப்போர் அசத்தியத்தையே நிச்சயமாகப் பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள்; நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களோ, நிச்சயமாகத் தங்களுடைய இறைவனிடமிருந்து (வந்து)ள்ளதையே பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள் - இவ்வாறே மனிதர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் நிலைமையை உவமானங்களா(கக் கூறி விள)க்குகிறான்.

அது (ஏனென்றால்) நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்போர் பொய்யைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள், விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களோ, நிச்சயமாக தங்கள் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மையைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள் என்பதாலுமாகும், இவ்வாறே (மற்ற) மனிதர்களுக்கு, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களின் நிலைமைகளை உதாரணங்களா(கக் கூறி தெளிவா)க்குகின்றான்.

That is because the disbelievers follow falsehood, whereas the believers follow the truth from their Lord. This is how Allah explains for people their comparisons.

Faitha laqeetumu allatheena kafaroo fadarba alrriqabi hatta itha athkhantumoohum fashuddoo alwathaqa faimma mannan baAAdu waimma fidaan hatta tadaAAa alharbu awzaraha thalika walaw yashao Allahu laintasara minhum walakin liyabluwa baAAdakum bibaAAdin waallatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi falan yudilla aAAmalahum

So, when you meet (in fight – Jihâd in Allâh's Cause) those who disbelieve, smite (their) necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islâm), until the war lays down its burden. Thus [you are ordered by Allâh to continue in carrying out Jihâd against the disbelievers till they embrace Islâm and are saved from the punishment in the Hell-fire or at least come under your protection], but if it had been Allâh's Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight) in order to test some of you with others. But those who are killed in the way of Allâh, He will never let their deeds be lost.

So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! உங்களை எதிர்த்து போர் புரியும்) நிராகரிப்பவர்களை நீங்கள் சந்திப்பீர்களாயின், (தயக்கமின்றி) அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளை வெட்டுங்கள். அவர்களை முறியடித்து விட்டால், (மிஞ்சியவர்களைச் சிறை) பிடித்துக் கட்டுங்கள். அதன் பின்னர், அவர்களுக்குப் பதிலாக யாதொரு ஈடு பெற்றேனும் அல்லது (ஈடின்றி அவர்கள் மீது) கருணையாக வேனும் விட்டு விடுங்கள். இவ்வாறு, (எதிரிகள்) தம் ஆயுதத்தைக் கீழே வைக்கும் வரையில் (போர் செய்யுங்கள்.) இது அல்லாஹ்(வின் கட்டளை. அவன்) நாடியிருந்தால், (அவர்கள் உங்களுடன் போர் புரிய வருவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே) அவர்களை பழிவாங்கியிருப்பான். ஆயினும், (போரின் மூலம்) உங்களில் சிலரை, சிலரைக் கொண்டு சோதிக்கின்றான். ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் எவர்கள் வெட்டப்பட்டு (இறந்து) விடுகின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய நன்மைகளை அவன் வீணாக்கிவிட மாட்டான். (தக்க கூலியையே கொடுப்பான்.)

(முஃமின்களே! வலிந்து உங்களுடன் போரிட வரும்) நிராகரிப்பவர்களை நீங்கள் (போரில்) சந்திப்பீர்களாயின், அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளை வெட்டுங்கள்; கடும் போர் செய்து (நீங்கள் அவர்களை வென்று) விட்டால் (அவர்களுடைய) கட்டுகளை பலப்படுத்தி விடுங்கள்; அதன் பிறகு யாதொரு ஈடுபெற்றோ அல்லது (ஈடு பெறாது) உபகாரமாகவோ அவர்களை விட்டு விடுங்கள். போர்(ப் பகைவர்கள்) தங்கள் ஆயுதங்களைக் கீழே வைக்கும் வரையில் (இவ்வாறு செய்யுங்கள்) இது (இறை கட்டளையாகும்) அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் (போரின்றி அவனே) அவர்களிடம் பழிவாங்கியிருப்பான்; ஆயினும், (போரின் மூலம்) அவன் உங்களில் சிலரை, சிலரைக் கொண்டு சோதிக்கின்றான்; ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில், யார் கொல்லப்படுகிறார்களோ அவர்களுடைய (நற்) செயல்களை அவன் பயனற்றுப் போகுமாறு செய்யமாட்டான்.

ஆகவே, (விசுவாசிகளே! உங்களிடம் போர் புரியும்) நிராகரிப்போரை நீங்கள் சந்திப்பீர்களாயின், (தயக்கமின்றி அவர்களுடைய) பிடரிகளை வெட்டுங்கள், முடிவாக நீங்கள் அவர்களுடன் கடும் போரிட்டு (கைதிகளாகப் பிடித்துகொண்டு) விட்டால் அப்போது (கைதிகளின்) கட்டை பலப்படுத்தி விடுங்கள், அதன், பின்னர் (அவர்களை) உபகாரமாக (விட்டு விடுங்கள்) அல்லது ஈடுபெற்று (விட்டு விடுங்கள், இவ்வாறு) போர் (புரியும் எதிரிகள்) தம் ஆயுதங்களைக் கீழே வைக்கும் வரையில் (போர் புரியுங்கள்), இது (அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளையாகும்) அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தாலோ (முன்னதாகவே பதிலடி கொடுத்து) அவர்களை தண்டித்திருப்பான், எனினும், (போர் புரிய கட்டளையிட்டது) உங்களில் சிலரை, சிலரைக்கொண்டு சோதிப்பதற்கேயாகும், மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் கொல்லப்பட்டார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களுடைய (நன்மையான) செயல்களை அவன் வீணாக்கிவிடவே மாட்டான்.

When you encounter the disbelievers [in battle], strike [their] necks until you have thoroughly subdued them, then bind the captives firmly. Later [you may free them] as a favor or for ransom until the war comes to an end. That [is Our command], if Allah had willed, He could have subjected them to punishment, but [He ordered you to fight] to test some of you by means of others. Those who are killed in the way of Allah, He will never render their deeds void.

Sayahdeehim wayuslihu balahum

He will guide them and set right their state.

He will guide them and amend their condition

அவர்களை நேரான பாதையில் செலுத்தி அவர்களுடைய நிலைமையையும் சீர்படுத்திவிடுவான்.

அவன் அவர்களை நேர்வழியில் செலுத்துவான்; இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய நிலைமையையும் சீர்படுத்தி விடுவான்.

அவர்களை அவன் நேர் வழியில் செலுத்துவான், அவர்களுடைய நிலைமையையும் அவன் சீர்படுத்திவிடுவான்.

He will guide them, and will set their condition right,

Wayudkhiluhumu aljannata AAarrafaha lahum

And admit them to Paradise which He has made known to them (i.e. they will know their places in Paradise better than they used to know their homes in the world). (Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

And admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them.

அன்றி, அவன் அவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்திருந்த சுவனபதியிலும் அவர்களைப் புகுத்துவான்.

மேலும், அவன் அவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்திருந்த சுவர்க்கத்தில் அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வான்.

மேலும், அவன் எ(ந்தச் சுவனபதியான)தை அவர்களுக்கு அறிவித்திருந்தானோ, அச்சுவனபதியில் அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வான்.

and He will admit them to Paradise, which He has already made known to them.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tansuroo Allaha yansurkum wayuthabbit aqdamakum

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allâh, He will help you and make your foothold firm.

O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு உதவி புரிந்தால், அவனும் உங்களுக்கு உதவி புரிந்து உங்களுடைய பாதங்களை உறுதியாக்கி விடுவான்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு உதவி செய்தால், அவன் உங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்து உங்கள் பாதங்களையும் உறுதியாக்கி வைப்பான்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு உதவி செய்தால், அவன் உங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்வான், மேலும், உங்களுடைய பாதங்களை நிலைபெறச் செய்வான்.

O you who believe, if you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm.

Waallatheena kafaroo fataAAsan lahum waadalla aAAmalahum

But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), for them is destruction, and (Allâh) will make their deeds vain.

But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds.

எவர்கள் (இவ்வேதத்தை) நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுக்குக் கேடுதான். (அவர்களுடைய கால்களைப் பெயர்த்து) அவர்களுடைய செயல்களையெல்லாம் பயனற்றதாக்கி விடுவான்.

அன்றியும், எவர்கள் நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுக்குக் கேடுதான்; அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை அவன் பயனற்றவையாகவும் ஆக்கிவிடுவான்.

இன்னும், (இவ்வேதத்தை) நிராகரிகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களுக்குக் கேடுதான், அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் அழித்தும்விட்டான்.

As for those who disbelieve, how wretched will be their state! And He will render their deeds void.

Thalika biannahum karihoo ma anzala Allahu faahbata aAAmalahum

That is because they hate that which Allâh has sent down (this Qur'ân and Islâmic laws); so He has made their deeds fruitless.

That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds.

காரணமாவது: அல்லாஹ் இறக்கி வைத்ததை மெய்யாகவே அவர்கள் வெறுத்து (நிராகரித்து) விட்டார்கள். ஆதலால், அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை எல்லாம் (அல்லாஹ்) அழித்து விட்டான்.

ஏனெனில்: அல்லாஹ் இறக்கிய (வேதத்)தை, திட்டமாகவே அவர்கள் வெறுத்தார்கள்; ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை அவன் பயனற்றவையாக ஆக்கி விட்டான்.

இது (ஏனெனில்,) அல்லாஹ் இறக்கிவைத்ததை நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் வெறுத்துவிட்டார்கள் என்ற காரணத்தினாலாகும், ஆதலால், அவர்களுடைய செயல்களையெல்லாம் (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் அழித்துவிட்டான்.

That is because they detest what Allah has sent down, so He rendered their deeds worthless.

Afalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim dammara Allahu AAalayhim walilkafireena amthaluha

Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? Allâh destroyed them completely, and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers.

Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable.

அவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரிந்து பார்க்கவில்லையா? அவ்வாறாயின் இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் (விஷமம் செய்துகொண்டு) இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எவ்வாறாயிற்று என்பதைக் கண்டு கொள்வார்கள். (முன்னர் விஷமம் செய்திருந்த) அவர்களை அடியோடு அழித்துவிட்டான். நிராகரிக்கும் இவர்களுக்கும் இது போன்றதே நிகழும்.

அவர்கள் பூமியில் பிரயாணம் செய்து இவர்களுக்கு முன்பு இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படியிருந்தது என்பதைப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை அடியோடு அழித்து விட்டான், காஃபிர்களுக்கும் இவை போன்றவைதாம் (முடிவுகள்) உண்டு.

அவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரியவில்லையா? (அவ்வாறாயின்,) அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் (அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளைக்குமாறு செய்துகொண்டு) இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படி இருந்தது என்பதைக் கண்டுகொள்வார்கள், அவர்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் அடியோடு அழிவை ஏற்படுத்திவிட்டான், நிராகரிப்போருக்கும் இவை போன்றவை உண்டு.

Have they not traveled through the land to see what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them utterly, and a similar end awaits the disbelievers.

Thalika bianna Allaha mawla allatheena amanoo waanna alkafireena la mawla lahum

That is because Allâh is the Maulâ (Lord, Master, Helper, Protector) of those who believe, and the disbelievers have no Maulâ (lord, master, helper, protector).

That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector.

காரணமாவது: நிச்சயமாக நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை காப்பவனாக அல்லாஹ்வே இருக்கின்றான். நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கோ, நிச்சயமாக யாதொரு பாதுகாவலனுமில்லை.

இது ஏனெனில்: அல்லாஹ் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களுக்கு பாது காவலனாக இருக்கிறான்; அன்றியும் காஃபிர்களுக்குப் பாதுகாவலர் எவரும் இல்லை என்பதனால்தான்.

இது (ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரின் பாதுகாவலன் என்பதினாலும், நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்போர், அவர்களுக்குப் பாதுகாவலர் எவருமில்லை என்ற காரணத்தினாலுமாகும்.

That is because Allah is the Protector of the believers whereas the disbelievers have no protector.

Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu waallatheena kafaroo yatamattaAAoona wayakuloona kama takulu alanAAamu waalnnaru mathwan lahum

Certainly Allâh will admit those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, to Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise); while those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode.

Indeed, Allah will admit those who have believed and done righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow, but those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as grazing livestock eat, and the Fire will be a residence for them.

எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்கள் செய்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் சுவனபதியில் புகுத்துகின்றான். அதில் நீரருவிகள் தொடர்ந்து ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும். எவர்கள் நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள், மிருகங்கள் தின்பதைப் போல் தின்றுகொண்டும், (மிருகங்களைப் போல்) சுகத்தை அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டும் இருக்கின்றார்கள். (எனினும்,) அவர்கள் செல்லுமிடம் நரகம்தான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்: எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களைச் சுவர்க்கங்களில் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; அவற்றின் கீழே ஆறுகள் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும்; ஆனால் நிராகரிப்பவர்களோ (இவ்வுலக சுகங்களை) அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டும், மிருகங்கள் தீனி தின்பதைப் போல் தின்று கொண்டும் இருக்கிறார்கள். (நரக) நெருப்பே இவர்கள் தங்குமிடமாக இருக்கும்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்கருமங்களும் செய்தார்களே அத்தகையோரை சுவனபதிகளில் புகுத்துகின்றான், அவற்றில் கீழ் நீரருவிகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும், இன்னும், நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள் (உலக) சுகத்தை அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டும், கால்நடைகள் தின்பதைப் போல் தின்று கொண்டும் இருக்கிறார்கள், (நரக) நெருப்பே அவர்களின் ஒதுங்குமிடமாகும்.

Allah will surely admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens under which rivers flow. As for those who disbelieve, they enjoy themselves [in this world] and they eat as cattle eat; their final abode is the Fire.

Wakaayyin min qaryatin hiya ashaddu quwwatan min qaryatika allatee akhrajatka ahlaknahum fala nasira lahum

And many a town, stronger than your town (Makkah) (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) which has driven you out We have destroyed. And there was none to help them.

And how many a city was stronger than your city [Makkah] which drove you out? We destroyed them; and there was no helper for them.

(நபியே!) உங்களுடைய ஊரைவிட்டும் உங்களை வெளிப்படுத்திய இவர்களைவிட எத்தனையோ ஊரார்கள் மிக்க பலசாலிகளாக இருந்தனர். (அவர்கள் செய்த அநியாயத்தின் காரணமாக) அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம். (அச்சமயம்) அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்பவர்கள் ஒருவருமிருக்க வில்லை. (ஆகவே, இவர்கள் எம்மாத்திரம்! இவர்களையும் நாம் அழித்தே தீருவோம்.)

மேலும், (நபியே!) உம்முடைய ஊரை விட்டு உம்மை வெளியேற்றியவர்களை விட, எத்தனையோ ஊ(ரா)ர்கள் மிக்க பல முடையவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள். (அவர்கள் பாவத்தின் காரணமாக) அவர்களை நாம் அழித்து விட்டோம் - ஆகவே அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வோர் எவரும் இருக்கவில்லை.

இன்னும், உம்மை வெளியேற்றிய அத்தகைய உம்முடைய ஊ(ரா)ரை விட எத்தனையோ ஊ(ரா)ர்கள்_அவை(களில் வசித்தவர்கள்) பலத்தால் மிகக் கடினமாக இருந்தன(ர்), அவர்களை (அவர்கள் செய்த அக்கிரமத்தின் காரணமாக) நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம், (அச்சமயம்) அவர்களுக்கு உதவிபுரிவோர் (எவரும்) இல்லை.

How many towns We destroyed that were more powerful than your town that expelled you, and there was none to help them.

Afaman kana AAala bayyinatin min rabbihi kaman zuyyina lahu sooo AAamalihi waittabaAAoo ahwaahum

Is he who is on a clear proof from his Lord, like those for whom their evil deeds that they do are beautified for them, while they follow their own lusts (evil desires)?

So is he who is on clear evidence from his Lord like him to whom the evil of his work has been made attractive and they follow their [own] desires?

எவர் தன் இறைவனின் தெளிவான (நேரான) பாதையின் மீது இருக்கின்றாரோ அத்தகையவருக்கு, எவன் தன்னுடைய தீய காரியங்களையே அழகாகக் கண்டு, தன்னுடைய சரீர இச்சை களையே பின்பற்றுகின்றானோ அவன் ஒப்பாவானா?

எனவே எவர் தம் இறைவனின் தெளிவான பாதையில் இருக்கிறாரோ அவர் எவனுடைய செயலின் தீமை அவனுக்கு அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப் பட்டுள்ளதோ, இன்னும், எவர்கள் தம் மனோ இச்சைகளைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றார்களோ அத்தகையோருக்கு ஓப்பாவாரா?

எனவே, தன் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்துள்ள தெளிவான ஆதாரத்தின் மீதிருக்கிறாரே அவர், எவனுடைய செயலின் தீமை அவனுக்கு அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு, தங்கள் மனோ இச்சைகளையும் பின்பற்றினார்களே அவர்களைப் போன்று ஆவாரா?

Are those who possess clear proof from their Lord like those whose evil deeds are made appealing to them and who follow their own desires?

Mathalu aljannati allatee wuAAida almuttaqoona feeha anharun min main ghayri asinin waanharun min labanin lam yataghayyar taAAmuhu waanharun min khamrin laththatin lilshsharibeena waanharun min AAasalin musaffan walahum feeha min kulli alththamarati wamaghfiratun min rabbihim kaman huwa khalidun fee alnnari wasuqoo maan hameeman faqattaAAa amAAaahum

The description of Paradise which the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2) have been promised (is that) in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed, rivers of milk of which the taste never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure); therein for them is every kind of fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are these) like those who shall dwell for ever in the Fire and be given to drink boiling water so that it cuts up their bowels?

Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?

இறை அச்சமுடையவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட சுவனபதியின் தன்மையாவது: அதில் தீங்கற்ற (பரிசுத்தமான) நீரருவிகள் இருக்கின்றன. பரிசுத்தமான ருசி மாறாத பாலாறுகளும் இருக்கின்றன. திராட்சை ரச ஆறுகளும் இருக்கின்றன. அது குடிப்பவர்களுக்குப் பேரின்பமளிக்கக்கூடியது. தெளிவான தேனாறுகளும் இருக்கின்றன. அன்றி, அதில் அவர்களுக்கு எல்லா விதமான கனிவர்க்கங்கள் இருப்பதுடன், இறைவனின் மன்னிப்பும் அவர்களுக்கு உண்டு. (இத்தகைய இன்பங்களை அனுபவிப் பவனுக்கு) நரகத்தில் என்றென்றுமே தங்கியிருந்து, கொதிக்கும் நீர் புகட்டப்பட்டு, குடல்களெல்லாம் துண்டு துண்டாகிவிடக்கூடிய நரகவாசி ஒப்பாக முடியுமா?

பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள சுவர்க்கத்தின் உதாரணமாவது: அதில் மாறுபடாத தெளிந்த நீரைக் கொண்ட ஆறுகளும், தன் சுவை மாறாத பாலாறுகளும், அருந்துவோருக்கு இன்பமளிக்கும் மது ரச ஆறுகளும், தெளிவான தேன் ஆறுகளும் இருக்கின்றன; இன்னும், அதில் அவர்களுக்கு எல்லா விதமான கனிவகைகளும், தங்கள் இறைவனின் மன்னிப்பும் உண்டு. (இத்தகையோர்) நரகத்தில் எவன் என்றென்றுமே தங்கியிருந்து, கொதிக்கும் நீர் புகட்டப்பட்டு (அதனால்) குடல்களெல்லாம் துண்டு துண்டாகிவிடுமோ அவனுக்கு ஒப்பாவாரா?

பயபக்தியுடைவர்கள் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டார்களே அத்தகைய சுவனத்தின் தன்மையாகிறது, அதில் தண்ணீரிலிருந்து மாற்றமடையாத (தெளிவான) ஆறுகளும், பாலிருந்து தன் சுவைமாறாத (பால்) ஆறுகளும், மதுவிலிருந்து குடிப்போருக்குப் பேரின்பமளிக்கக்கூடிய ஆறுகளும், தெளிவான தேனிலிருந்து (தேன்) ஆறுகளும் உண்டு, அதில் அவர்களுக்கு ஒவ்வொரு விதமான கனிவகைகளும், தங்கள் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து மன்னிப்பும் உண்டு, (இத்தகைய நற்பாக்கியங்களை நல்கப்பெற்ற இத்தகையோர்) நரகத்தில் எவர் நிரந்தரமாக(த் தங்கி)யிருந்து, கொதிக்கும் நீரும் புகட்டப்பட்டு (அதனால்) அவர்களின் குடல்களை அது துண்டு துண்டாக்கிவிடுமே அவர்களைப்போன்று ஆவாரா?

The likeness of Paradise promised to the righteous is that of a [garden which has] rivers of fresh water; rivers of milk the taste of which never changes; rivers of wine delicious to drink; and rivers of pure honey. They will have therein all kinds of fruit and forgiveness from their Lord. Can they be like those who will abide in the Fire forever, and will be given boiling water to drink that tears apart their intestines?

Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka hatta itha kharajoo min AAindika qaloo lillatheena ootoo alAAilma matha qala anifan olaika allatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAala quloobihim waittabaAAoo ahwaahum

And among them are some who listen to you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) till when they go out from you, they say to those who have received knowledge: "What has he said just now?" Such are men whose hearts Allâh has sealed, and they follow their lusts (evil desires).

And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires.

(நபியே! நீங்கள் இவ்வேதத்தை ஓதிய சமயத்தில்) உங்களுக்குச் செவி சாய்ப்பவர்களைப் போல் இருந்து உங்களை விட்டு வெளிப்பட்டதும், (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களாகிய, இவ்வேத) ஞானம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களை நோக்கி(ப் பரிகாசமாக "உங்களுடைய நபி) சற்று முன் என்ன கூறினார்?" எனக் கேட்பவர்களும் அவர்களில் பலர் இருக்கின்றனர். இத்தகைய வர்களின் உள்ளங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டு விட்டான். (ஆதலால்,) இவர்கள் தங்கள் சரீர இச்சையைப் பின்பற்றி நடக்கின்றனர்.

இன்னும், அவர்களில் உம்மைச் செவிமடுப்பவர்களும் இருக்கின்றனர்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் உம்மை விட்டு வெளியேறியதும், எவர்களுக்கு (வேத) ஞானம் அருளப் பெற்றதோ அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: “அவர் சற்று முன் என்ன கூறினார்?” என்று (பரிகாசமாகக்) கேட்கின்றனர்; இத்தகையோரின் இருதயங்களின் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டுவிட்டான். மேலும் இவர்கள், தங்கள் மனோ இச்சைகளையே பின்பற்றுகின்றனர்.

(நபியே!) அவர்களில் உமக்குச் செவி சாய்ப்பவர்களும் இருக்கின்றனர், எதுவரையெனில், அவர்கள் உம்மிடமிருந்து வெளியேறிய சமயத்தில், (விசுவாசிகளாகிய, இவ்வேத) அறிவு கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களிடம் (“உங்களுடைய நபியாகிய) அவர் சிறிது முன் என்ன கூறினார்?” என்று கேட்கின்றனர், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரேன்றால், அவர்களுடைய இதயங்களின் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டுவிட்டான், மேலும், இவர்கள் தங்கள் மனோ இச்சைகளையே பின்பற்றிவிட்டனர்.

Among these [hypocrites] are some who listen to you [O Prophet], but when they leave your presence, they say to those who were given knowledge, “What did he just say?” It is they whose hearts Allah has sealed up and who follow their desires.

Waallatheena ihtadaw zadahum hudan waatahum taqwahum

While as for those who accept guidance, He increases their guidance and bestows on them their piety.

And those who are guided - He increases them in guidance and gives them their righteousness.

எவர்கள் நேரான வழியில் செல்கின்றார்களோ (அவர்கள் இந்த வேதத்தைச் செவியுறுவதன் காரணமாக) அவர்களுடைய நேர்மையை (மென்மேலும்) அதிகப்படுத்தி இறை அச்சத்தையும் அவர்களுக்கு (இறைவன்) அளிக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், எவர்கள் நேர்வழியில் செல்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுடை நேர்வழியை (இன்னும்) அதிகப்படுத்தி, அவர்களுக்கு தக்வாவை - பயபக்தியை (இறைவன்) அளிக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், நேர்வழி பெற்றுவிட்டோர்_அவர்களுடைய நேர் வழியை (மேலும்) அவன் அதிகப்படுத்தி, அவர்களின் பயபக்தியையும் அவர்களுக்கு அவன் கொடுத்தான்.

As for those follow guidance, He increases them in guidance and blesses them with righteousness.

Fahal yanthuroona illa alssaAAata an tatiyahum baghtatan faqad jaa ashratuha faanna lahum itha jaathum thikrahum

Do they then await (anything) other than the Hour that it should come upon them suddenly? But some of its portents (indications and signs) have already come; and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their reminder?

Then do they await except that the Hour should come upon them unexpectedly? But already there have come [some of] its indications. Then what good to them, when it has come, will be their remembrance?

(நபியே! அந்தப் பாவிகள்) தங்களிடம் திடீரென வரக்கூடிய மறுமை(யின் வேதனை)யை தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) எதிர் பார்க்கின்றனரா? அதன் அடையாளங்களில் பல நிச்சயமாக வந்து விட்டன. அது அவர்களிடம் வந்ததன் பின்னர், அதனைப் பற்றி அவர்களுக்கு அறிவுறுத்துவதால் என்ன பயன்?

எனவே இவர்கள் தங்கள்பால் திடுகூறாக (தீர்ப்ப்புக்குரிய) அவ்வேளை வருவதை அன்றி (வேறு எதனையும்) எதிர்பார்க்கின்றனரா? அதன் அடையாளங்கள் திட்டமாக வந்து விட்டன; ஆகவே அது அவர்களிடம் வந்து விட்டால், அவர்களுக்கு நினைவூட்டும் நல்லுபதேசம் எவ்வாறு பயனளிக்கும்.

எனவே, (நபியே! நிராகரிப்பவர்களான) அவர்கள், மறுமையை_அது தங்களிடம் திடீரென வருவதைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) அவர்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றனரா? (ஏனென்றால்,) அதன் அடையாளங்கள் திட்டமாக வந்துவிட்டன, அவர்களுக்கு (மறுமை நாளான) அது வந்து விட்டால் அவர்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வின் வழிபாட்டை உலகில் மறந்து விட்டதை) நினைவு கூர்தல் எங்ஙனம்? (பயனளிக்கும்.)

Are they but waiting for the Hour to come upon them by surprise? Already [some of] its signs have appeared. What good will it do them to take heed when it actually befalls them?

FaiAAlam annahu la ilaha illa Allahu waistaghfir lithanbika walilmumineena waalmuminati waAllahu yaAAlamu mutaqallabakum wamathwakum

So know (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) that Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh), and ask forgiveness for your sin, and also for (the sin of) believing men and believing women. And Allâh knows well your moving about, and your place of rest (in your homes).

So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர வணக்கத் திற்குரிய வேறொரு இறைவன் இல்லை என்பதை நீங்கள் உறுதியாக அறிந்து கொண்டு, நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய தவறுகளை மன்னிக்கக் கோருவதுடன், நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஆண்களுக்கும், பெண்க ளுக்கும் மன்னிப்பு கோருங்கள்! (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) உங்களுடைய நடமாட்டத்தையும் நீங்கள் தங்கும் இடங்களையும் அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான்.

ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை என்று நீர் அறிந்து கொள்வீராக; இன்னும் உம்முடைய பாவத்திற்காகவும், முஃமின்களான ஆண்களுக்காகவும், பெண்களுக்காகவும் (பாவ) மன்னிப்புத் தேடுவீராக - அன்றியும் உங்களுடைய நடமாட்டத்தலத்தையும் உங்கள் தங்குமிடங்களையும் அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிகிறான்.

ஆகவே (நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை என்பதை நீர் அறிந்துகொள்வீராக! உம்முடைய பாவத்திற்காகவும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட ஆண்களுக்காகவும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட பெண்களுக்காகவும் பாவ மன்னிப்புக் கோருவீராக! இன்னும், (விசுவாசிகளே! பகலில்) உங்களுடைய செயல்பாட்டுக்குரிய இடத்தையும், (இரவில்) உங்கள் தங்குமிடத்தையும் அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான்.

Then know [O Prophet] that none has the right to be worshiped except Allah, and seek forgiveness for your sins and for the [the sins of] the believing men and women, for Allah knows your movements and your places of rest.

Wayaqoolu allatheena amanoo lawla nuzzilat sooratun faitha onzilat sooratun muhkamatun wathukira feeha alqitalu raayta allatheena fee quloobihim maradun yanthuroona ilayka nathara almaghshiyyi AAalayhi mina almawti faawla lahum

Those who believe say: "Why is not a Sûrah (chapter of the Qur'ân) sent down (for us)?" But when a decisive Sûrah (explaining and ordering things) is sent down, and fighting (Jihâd – holy fighting in Allâh's Cause) is mentioned (i.e. ordained) therein, you will see those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) looking at you with a look of one fainting to death. But it was better for them (hypocrites, to listen to Allâh and to obey Him).

Those who believe say, "Why has a surah not been sent down? But when a precise surah is revealed and fighting is mentioned therein, you see those in whose hearts is hypocrisy looking at you with a look of one overcome by death. And more appropriate for them [would have been]

நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களிலும் பலர், (போரைப் பற்றி) யாதொரு (தனி அத்தியாயம் இறக்கப்பட வேண்டாமா? என்று கூறுகின்றனர். அவ்வாறே (தெளிவான) ஒரு திட்டமான அத்தியாயம் இறக்கப்பட்டு போர் செய்யுமாறு அதில் கூறப்பட்டிருந்தால், எவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் நோய் இருக்கின்றதோ அவர்கள், மரண அவஸ்தையில் சிக்கி மயங்கிக் கிடப்பவர் பார்ப்பதைப் போல் (நபியே!) உங்களை அவர்கள் நோக்குவார்கள். ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்குக் கேடுதான்.

இன்னும், ஈமான் கொண்டவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்: “(புனிதப் போர் பற்றி) ஓர் அத்தியாயம் இறக்கி வைப்படவேண்டாமா?” என்று. ஆனால் உறுதிவாய்ந்த ஓர் அத்தியாயம் இறக்கப்பட்டு அதில் போர் புரியுமாறு பிரஸ்தாபிக்கப் பட்டால், எவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் (நயவஞ்சக) நோய் இருக்கிறதோ அவர்கள் மரண (பய)த்தினால் தனக்கு மயக்கம் ஏற்பட்டவன் நோக்குவது போல் உம்மை நோக்குவதை நீர் காண்பீர்! ஆகவே, இத்தகையவர்களுக்குக் கேடு தான்.

மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்கள் (போர்செய்வது பற்றி) யாதொரு (தனி) அத்தியாயம் இறக்கிவைக்கபடவேண்டாமா? என்று கூறுகிறார்கள், (அவ்வாறே) ஒரு தீர்க்கமான அத்தியாயம் இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட்டு, அதில் போர் (செய்வது) பற்றிக் கூறப்பட்டிருந்தால், தங்களுடைய இதயங்களில் நோய் இருகின்றதே அத்தகையோர் மரண அவஸ்தையில் சிக்கி மயங்கிக் கிடப்போர் பார்ப்பதைப்போல், (நபியே!) உம்மை அவர்கள் பார்ப்பதை நீர் காண்பீர்! ஆகவே, (அவர்களை அழிக்கக் கூடியது) அவர்களுக்கு நெருங்கிவிட்டது.

Those who believe say, “If only a Chapter were sent down [about fighting]? But when a precise Chapter is sent down and fighting is mentioned therein, you see those in whose hearts is sickness looking at you like someone who is about to die. It would have been better for them

TaAAatun waqawlun maAAroofun faitha AAazama alamru falaw sadaqoo Allaha lakana khayran lahum

Obedience (to Allâh) and good words (were better for them). And when the matter (preparation for Jihâd) is resolved on, then if they had been true to Allâh, it would have been better for them.

Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.

(நபியே! உங்களுக்கு) வழிப்பட்டு நடப்பதும், (உங்களிடம் எதைக் கூறியபோதிலும்) உண்மையைச் சொல்வதும்தான் (நன்று). ஆகவே, (போரைப் பற்றி) ஒரு காரியம் முடிவாகிவிட்ட பின்னர், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு (அவர்கள்) உண்மையாக நடந்துகொண்டால், அது அவர்களுக்குத்தான் நன்மையாக இருக்கும்.

(ஆகவே, இறைதூதருக்கு) வழிபட்டு நடப்பதும், நன்மையான சொல்லுமே (மேலானதாகும்) எனவே, ஒரு காரியம் உறுதியாகி விட்டால், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அவர்கள் உண்மையாக நடந்து கொண்டால் அதுவே அவர்களுக்கு நன்மையாக இருக்கும்.

(நபியே! உமக்குக்) கீழ்ப்பட்டு நடப்பதும், (உம்மிடம் எதைக் கூறிய போதிலும்) கண்ணியமாகப் பேசுவதும் தாம் (அவர்களுக்கு நன்று), ஆகவே, (போர் செய்வது பற்றிய) காரியம் உறுதியாகிவிட்டால், அப்போது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அவர்கள் உண்மையாக நடந்துகொண்டால், அது அவர்களுக்கு நன்மையாக இருக்கும்.

to obey and say good words. Once the fighting was ordained, it would be better for them to be truthful to Allah.

Fahal AAasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidoo fee alardi watuqattiAAoo arhamakum

Would you then, if you were given the authority, do mischief in the land, and sever your ties of kinship?

So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship?

(நயவஞ்சகர்களே!) நீங்கள் (போருக்கு வராது) விலகிக் கொண்டதன் பின்னர், நீங்கள் பூமியில் சென்று விஷமம் செய்து இரத்த பந்தத்தைத் துண்டித்துவிடப் பார்க்கின்றீர்களா?

(போருக்கு வராது) நீங்கள் பின் வாங்குவீர்களாயின், நீங்கள் பூமியில் குழப்பம் உண்டாக்கி உங்கள் சுற்றத்தாரை (அவர்களுடன் கலந்து உறவாடுவதிலிருந்தும்) துண்டித்து விடவும் முனைவீர்களோ?

நீங்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிவதை விட்டும்) புறக்கணித்து விடுவீர்களாயின், பூமியில் (இரத்தத்தை ஓட்டி) விஷமம் செய்யவும், இரத்த பந்தத்தில் உங்களது சுற்றத்தாரைத் துண்டித்துவிடவும் முனைவீர்களா?

Then if you turn away, what else can be expected but that you will spread corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship?

Olaika allatheena laAAanahumu Allahu faasammahum waaAAma absarahum

Such are they whom Allâh has cursed, so that He has made them deaf and blinded their sight.

Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.

இத்தகையவர்களை அல்லாஹ் சபித்து, அவர்களைச் செவிடர்களாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய பார்வைகளையும் போக்கி குருடர்களாக்கி விட்டான்.

இத்தகையோரைத் தாம் அல்லாஹ் சபித்து, இவர்களைச் செவிடாக்கி இவர்கள் பார்வைகளையும் குருடாக்கி விட்டான்.

அவர்கள்_எத்தகையோரென்றால் அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் சபித்து, அவர்களை செவிடர்களாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய பார்வைகளையும் (போக்கிக்) குருடாக்கி விட்டான்.

These are the ones whom Allah has cursed, and has made them deaf and has blinded their sight.

Afala yatadabbaroona alqurana am AAala quloobin aqfaluha

Do they not then think deeply in the Qur'ân, or are their hearts locked up (from understanding it)?

Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?

அவர்கள் இந்தக் குர்ஆனை ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க வேண்டாமா? அல்லது, இவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் மீது தாளிடப் பட்டு விட்டதா?

மேலும் அவர்கள் இந்தக் குர்ஆனை ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க வேண்டாமா? அல்லது அவர்கள் இருதயங்கள் (இருக்கின்றனவே) அவற்றின் மீது பூட்டுப் போடப்பட்டு விட்டனவா?

அவர்கள் இந்தக் குர் ஆனை ஆராய்ந்து பார்க்க மாட்டார்களா? அல்லது (அவர்களுடைய) இதயங்கள் மீது அவற்றிற்குரிய பூட்டுகள் (போடப்பட்டு) இருக்கின்றனவா?

Do they not reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon their hearts?

Inna allatheena irtaddoo AAala adbarihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda alshshaytanu sawwala lahum waamla lahum

Verily, those who have turned back (have apostatised) as disbelievers after the guidance has been manifested to them – Shaitân (Satan) has beautified for them (their false hopes), and (Allâh) prolonged their term (age).

Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்களுக்கு நேரான வழி இன்னதென்று தெளிவானதன் பின்னரும், அவர்கள் (அதன்மீது செல்லாது) தங்கள் பின்புறமே திரும்பிச் சென்றுவிட்டார்களோ, அவர்களை ஷைத்தான் மயக்கிவிட்டான். அன்றி, அவர்களுடைய தப்பெண்ணங்களையும் விரிவாக்கி, அவர்களுக்கு அவற்றை அழகாக்கியும் விட்டான்.

நிச்சயமாக, எவர்கள் நேர்வழி இன்னதென்று அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவானபின், தம் முதுகுகளைத் திருப்பிக் கொண்டு போகிறார்களோ, (அவ்வாறு போவதை) ஷைத்தான் அழகாக்கி, (அவர்களுடைய தவறான எண்ணங்களையும்) அவர்களுக்குப் பெருக்கி விட்டான்.

நிச்சயமாக நேர்வழி இன்னதென்று அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவான பின்னர் (அதை விட்டும் புறக்கணித்துத்) தங்கள் பின் புறங்களின் மீது திரும்பிச் சென்றுவிட்டார்களே அத்தகையோர்_(அவர்களது செயல்களை) ஷைத்தான் அவர்களுக்கு அழகாக்கிக்காட்டி, அவர்களுக்கு (வீணான ஆசைகளை) நீட்டியும் விட்டான்.

Indeed, those who turn back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them, it is Satan who has tempted them and has deceived them with false hopes of a long life.

Thalika biannahum qaloo lillatheena karihoo ma nazzala Allahu sanuteeAAukum fee baAAdi alamri waAllahu yaAAlamu israrahum

This is because they said to those who hate what Allâh has sent down: "We will obey you in part of the matter." But Allâh knows their secrets.

That is because they said to those who disliked what Allah sent down, "We will obey you in part of the matter." And Allah knows what they conceal.

காரணமாவது: நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் அல்லாஹ் இறக்கிய (இந்த வேதத்)தை வெறுப்பவர்(களாகிய யூதர்)களை நோக்கி "நாங்கள் சில விஷயங்களில் உங்களையே பின்பற்றி நடப்போம்" என்று (இரகசியமாகக்) கூறுகின்றனர். இவர்களுடைய இரகசியங்களை அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான்.

இது ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் எதை அல்லாஹ் இறக்கிவைக்கிறானோ, அதை வெறுப்பவர்களிடம், “நாங்கள் சில காரியங்களில் உங்களையே பின்பற்றி நடப்போம்” என்று கூறியதனாலேயாம். ஆனால், அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுடைய இரகசியங்களை அறிகிறான்.

இது, (ஏனென்றால்) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ் இறக்கிவைத்த (இவ்வேதத்)தை வெறுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோர்(களாகிய யூதர்) களிடம், “நாங்கள் சில காரியங்களில் உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடப்போம்” என்று (இரகசியமாகக்) கூறியதனாலாகும், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் மறைத்திருப்பவற்றை நன்கறிவான்.

That is because they say to those who hate what Allah has sent down, “We will obey you in some matters.” But Allah knows their secret schemes.

Fakayfa itha tawaffathumu almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum

Then how (will it be) when the angels will take their souls at death, smiting their faces and their backs?

Then how [will it be] when the angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?

இவர்கள் (சாகும்பொழுது) உயிர்களைக் கைப்பற்றும் மலக்குகள் இவர்களுடைய முகத்திலும், முதுகிலும் பலமாக அடி(ப்பார்கள். அவர்கள் அடி)க்கும் பொழுது இவர்களுடைய நிலைமை எவ்வாறிருக்கும்!

ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய முகங்களிலும், அவர்களுடைய முதுகுகளிலும் அடித்து (உயிர்களைக் கைப்பற்றும்) மலக்குகள் அவர்களை மரணமடையச் செய்யும் போது (அவர்கள் நிலைமை) எப்படியிருக்கும்,

எனவே, அவர்களுடைய முகங்கள் மீதும், அவர்களின் முதுகுகளின் மீதும் அடித்து (உயிரைக் கைப்பற்றும்) மலக்குகள், அவர்களை மரணமடையச் செய்யும் பொது (அவர்களின் நிலை) எவ்வாறிருக்கும்?

How will they feel when the angels take their souls, striking their faces and their backs?

Thalika biannahumu ittabaAAoo ma askhata Allaha wakarihoo ridwanahu faahbata aAAmalahum

That is because they followed that which angered Allâh and hated that which pleased Him. So, He made their deeds fruitless.

That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds.

காரணமாவது: அல்லாஹ்வுக்குக் கோபமூட்டக் கூடியவை களையே இவர்கள் பின்பற்றி, அவனுக்குத் திருப்தித் தரக்கூடிய வைகளை வெறுத்து வந்தனர். ஆதலால், இவர்களுடைய நன்மைகள் அனைத்தையும் அல்லாஹ் அழித்துவிட்டான்.

இது ஏனெனில்: நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குக் கோபமூட்டுவதையே பின்பற்றி, அவனுடைய திருப்தியை வெறுத்தமைதான்; ஆகவே அவர்களுடைய செய்கைகளை அவன் பயனில்லாதவையாக ஆக்கி விட்டான்.

இது, (ஏனெனில்) அல்லாஹ்விற்கு கோபமூட்டக்கூடியதை இவர்கள் பின்பற்றி, அவனுடைய திருப்தியை வெறுத்தும் வந்தனர் என்ற காரணத்தினாலாகும், ஆதலால், அவர்களுடைய செயல்களை (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் அழித்துவிட்டான்.

That is because they follow what incurs Allah’s wrath and they hate what pleases Him, so He will render their deeds worthless.

Am hasiba allatheena fee quloobihim maradun an lan yukhrija Allahu adghanahum

Or do those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy), think that Allâh will not bring to light all their hidden ill-wills?

Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred?

எவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் (வஞ்சகமென்னும்) நோய் இருக்கின்றதோ அவர்கள், தங்களுடைய சூழ்ச்சியை அல்லாஹ் வெளிப்படுத்திவிட மாட்டான் என்று எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருக் கின்றனரா?

அல்லது: எவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் (வஞ்சக) நோயிருக்கிறதோ, அவர்கள், தங்களுடைய கபடங்களை அல்லாஹ் வெளியாக்க மாட்டான் என்று எண்ணுகிறார்களா?

தம் இதயங்களில் (வஞ்சக) நோய் இருக்கின்றதே அத்தகையவர்கள்_அவர்களுடைய கடும் பொறாமைகளை அல்லாஹ் வெளிப்படுதிவிடவே மாட்டான் என்று எண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனரா?

Do those in whose hearts is sickness think that Allah will never expose their malice?

Walaw nashao laaraynakahum falaAAaraftahum biseemahum walataAArifannahum fee lahni alqawli waAllahu yaAAlamu aAAmalakum

Had We willed, We could have shown them to you, and you should have known them by their marks; but surely, you will know them by the tone of their speech! And Allâh knows (all) your deeds.

And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds.

(நபியே!) நாம் விரும்பினால், அவர்களை உங்களுக்கு காட்டிக் கொடுத்து விடுவோம். (அப்போது) அவர்களுடைய முகக் குறியைக்கொண்டே நீங்களும் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள். அவர்களுடைய தந்திரமான பேச்சின் போக்கைக் கொண்டும் நீங்கள் அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள். (நயவஞ்சகர்களே!) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடைய செயல்களையும் நன்கறிவான்.

அன்றியும், நாம் நாடினால், திடமாக நாம் அவர்களை உமக்குக் காண்பித்திருப்போம்; அவர்களுடைய முகக்குறிகளைக் கொண்டு நீர் அவர்களை நன்கு அறிந்து கொள்வீர்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய சூழ்ச்சியான பேச்சைக் கொண்டும் அவர்களை நீர் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் செய்கைகளை நன்கறிகிறான்.

மேலும் (நபியே!) நாம் நாடினால், அவர்களை உமக்குக் காண்பித்து விடுவோம், அப்பொழுது அவர்களுடைய (முக) அடையாளத்தைக் கொண்டே நீர் அவர்களை திட்டமாக அறிந்துகொள்வீர், மேலும், (சூழ்ச்சியான) பேச்சின் தொனியில் திட்டமாக அவர்களை நீர் அறிந்து கொள்வீர், அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடைய செயல்களையும் நன்கறிவான்.

If We willed, We could show them to you [O Prophet], so you would recognize them by their faces, but you will surely recognize them by the manner of their speech. And Allah knows all what you do.

Walanabluwannakum hatta naAAlama almujahideena minkum waalssabireena wanabluwa akhbarakum

And surely, We shall try you till We test those who strive hard (for the Cause of Allâh) and As-Sâbirûn (the patient), and We shall test your facts (i.e. the one who is a liar, and the one who is truthful).

And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah] and the patient, and We will test your affairs.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) உங்களில் (மனமொப்பி) போர் புரிபவர்கள் எவர்கள் என்பதையும், (போரில் ஏற்படும்) கஷ்டங்களை (உறுதியாக) சகித்திருப்பவர்கள் எவரென்பதையும் நாம் அறிந்து வெளிப்படுத்தும் வரையில், உங்களையும் உங்களைப் பற்றிய விஷயங்களையும் நாம் சோதனைக்குள்ளாக்கியே வருவோம்.

அன்றியும், (அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் போரிடும்) உங்களிலிருந்துள்ள முஜாஹிதுகளையும், பொறுமையாளர்களையும் நாம் அறியும் வரை உங்களை நிச்சயமாக நாம் சோதிப்போம்; உங்கள் செய்திகளையும் நாம் சோதிப்போம் (அவற்றின் உண்மையை வெளிப்படுத்துவதற்காக).

அன்றியும் (விசுவாசிகளே!) உங்களில் அறப்போர் புரிவோரையும், பொறுமையாளர்களையும் நாம் அறிந்து (அறிவித்து) விடும் வரை, உங்களை நிச்சயமாக நாம் சோதிப்போம், இன்னும், உங்களுடைய செய்திகளையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் வெளிப்படுத்துவோம்.

We will certainly test you so as to reveal those of you who struggle [in Allah’s way] and remain patient, and We will test sincerity of your assertions.

Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi washaqqoo alrrasoola min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhuda lan yaduroo Allaha shayan wasayuhbitu aAAmalahum

Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the path of Allâh (i.e. Islâm), and oppose the Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] (by standing against him and hurting him), after the guidance has been clearly shown to them, they will not harm Allâh in the least, but He will make their deeds fruitless,

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் நேரான வழி இன்னதென்று தெளிவான பின்னரும் (அதனை) நிராகரித்துவிட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை (மற்றவர்களுக்கு)த் தடுத்துக்கொண்டு (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய) தூதருக்கு விரோதமாக நடக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள், (அதனால்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு யாதொரு தீங்கும் செய்துவிட முடியாது. அவர்களுடைய (சூழ்ச்சியான) காரியங்களையெல்லாம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அழித்து விடுவான்.

நிச்சயமாக, நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் (பிறரை) அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டுத் தடுத்தும், நேர்வழி தங்களுக்குத் தெளிவான பிறகு (நம்) தூதரை எதிர்த்து முரண்பட்டுக் கொண்டும் இருக்கின்றனரோ - அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எவ்வித இடர்பாடும் செய்துவிட முடியாது; அன்றியும் அவர்களுடைய செய்கைகளை அவன் பயனற்றவையாக ஆக்கியும் விடுவான்.

நிச்சயமாக நேர்வழி இன்னதென்று தங்களுக்குத் தெளிவான பின்னர், (அதனை) நிராகரித்துவிட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையைவிட்டும் (மற்றவர்களைத்) தடுத்துக் கொண்டு (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய) தூதருக்கு விரோதமாகவும் நடக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_(அதனால்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு யாதொரு தீங்கும் செய்துவிடவேமாட்டார்கள், அவர்களுடைய (சூழ்ச்சியான) செயல்களை (எல்லாம்) அல்லாஹ் அழித்தும் விடுவான்.

Those who disbelieve and prevent others from Allah’s way, and oppose the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them, they will never harm Allah in the least, and He will render their deeds worthless.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola wala tubtiloo aAAmalakum

O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) and render not vain your deeds.

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not invalidate your deeds.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் மெய்யாகவே அல்லாஹ் வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் வழிப்படுங்கள். (அவர்களுக்கு மாறு செய்து) உங்களுடைய நன்மைகளை நீங்கள் வீணாக்கி விடாதீர்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வழிபடுங்கள். இன்னும் இத்தூதருக்கு கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள் - உங்கள் செயல்களை பாழாக்கிவிடாதீர்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வழிபடுங்கள், இன்னும், (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள், (மாறுசெய்து) உங்களுடைய செயல்களை நீங்கள் வீணாக்கியும் விடாதீர்கள்.

O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and do not cause your deeds to be nullified.

Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi thumma matoo wahum kuffarun falan yaghfira Allahu lahum

Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the path of Allâh (i.e. Islâm); then die while they are disbelievers – Allâh will not forgive them.

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and then died while they were disbelievers - never will Allah forgive them.

எவர்கள் நிராகரித்து, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையையும் தடுத்துக் கொண்டு, நிராகரித்த வண்ணமே இறந்தும் விடுகின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய குற்றங்களை அல்லாஹ் ஒரு காலத்திலும் மன்னிப்பதே இல்லை.

நிச்சயமாக, எவர்கள் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டும், (மக்களை) அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டு தடுத்துக் கொண்டும், பின்னர் காஃபிர்களாக இருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே இறந்தும் விடுகிறார்களோ - இ(த்தகைய)வர்களை அல்லாஹ் மன்னிக்கவே மாட்டான்.

நிச்சயமாக நிராகரித்து விட்டு, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையைவிட்டும் (பிறர் செல்வதைத்) தடுத்து, பின்னர் அவர்கள் நிராகரித்தவர்களாக இருக்க மரணித்து விடுகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_ அவர்(களுடைய குற்றங்)களை அல்லாஹ் மன்னிக்கவே மாட்டான்.

Those who disbelieve and prevent others from Allah’s way, and then die as disbelievers, Allah will never forgive them.

Fala tahinoo watadAAoo ila alssalmi waantumu alaAAlawna waAllahu maAAakum walan yatirakum aAAmalakum

So, be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islâm) while you are having the upper hand. Allâh is with you, and He will never decrease the reward of your good deeds.

So do not weaken and call for peace while you are superior; and Allah is with you and will never deprive you of [the reward of] your deeds.

(போர் புரியும் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! இழிவு தரக்கூடிய விதத்தில்) நீங்கள் தைரியமிழந்து சமாதானத்தைக் கோராதீர்கள். (ஏனென்றால்,) நீங்கள்தாம் வெற்றி பெறுவீர்கள். அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடன்தான் இருக்கின்றான். உங்களுடைய நன்மைகளில் ஒன்றையும் அவன் குறைத்துவிடமாட்டான்.

(முஃமின்களே! போரில்) நீங்கள் தளர்ச்சியடைந்து, தைரியமிழந்து சமாதானத்தைக் கோராதீர்கள்; (ஏனென்றால்) நீங்கள் தாம் மேலோங்குபவர்கள்; அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடனேயே இருக்கின்றான் - மேலும், அவன் உங்கள் (நற்) செய்கைகளை உங்களுக்கு (ஒரு போதும்) குறைத்து விடமாட்டான்.

(விசுவாசிகளே!) நீங்கள் தைரியமிழந்து விடாதீர்கள்: இன்னும் (முன்கூட்டி) சமாதானத்தை கோராதீர்கள், இன்னும் நீங்கள் தாம் மிக உயர்ந்தவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வோ உங்களுடன் இருக்கின்றான், மேலும், உங்களுடைய செயல்களை (அவற்றின் நற்கூலியை) அவன் குறைத்துவிடவேமாட்டான்.

Do not lose heart or call for peace, for you will have the upper hand and Allah is with you. And He will never detract [the reward of] your deeds.

Innama alhayatu alddunya laAAibun walahwun wain tuminoo watattaqoo yutikum ojoorakum wala yasalkum amwalakum

The life of this world is but play and pastime; but if you believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), and fear Allâh, and avoid evil, He will grant you your wages, and will not ask you your wealth.

[This] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. And if you believe and fear Allah, He will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties.

இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் வீண் விளையாட்டும் வேடிக்கையும் தான். நீங்கள் மெய்யாகவே நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு அவனுக்குப் பயந்து நடந்துகொண்டால், உங்களுடைய பொருள்களை அவன் (தனக்காகக்) கேட்கவில்லை. (உங்களுடைய நன்மைக்காகவே கேட்கின்றான்.)

திடமாக இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை வீண்விளையாட்டாகவும் வேடிக்கையாகவுமிருக்கிறது; ஆனால், நீங்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு பயபக்தியுடையவர்களாயிருந்தால், அவன் உங்களுடைய கூலிகளை உங்களுக்கு அளிப்பான். அன்றியும் உங்களிடம் உங்களுடைய பொருள்களை அவன் கேட்கவில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் விளையாட்டும், வீணுமேயாகும்! மேலும், நீங்கள் விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயந்தும் (நடந்து) கொண்டால் உங்களுடைய கூலிகளை அவன் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பான், உங்களுடைய செல்வங்களை அவன் (தனக்காக) உங்களிடம் கேட்கவும் மாட்டான்.

The life of this world is only play and amusement. But if you believe and fear Allah, He will give you your rewards, and He does not ask you for all your wealth.

In yasalkumooha fayuhfikum tabkhaloo wayukhrij adghanakum

If He were to ask you of it, and press you, you would covetously withhold, and He will bring out all your (secret) ill-wills.

If He should ask you for them and press you, you would withhold, and He would expose your unwillingness.

அவ்வாறு, அவன் (தனக்காக) உங்களிடம் கேட்டு வற்புறுத்தினாலும் (அதனைக் கொடுக்காது) நீங்கள் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்வீர்கள்; (அந்நேரத்தில்) அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடைய கெட்ட எண்ணத்தை வெளியாக்கி விடுவான்.

அவன் உங்களிடம் அவற்றைக் கேட்டு வற்புறுத்தினாலும், நீங்கள் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்வீர்கள். (பேராசை போன்ற) உங்கள் உள்ளக்கிடக்கைகளையும் அவன் வெளிப்படுத்தி விடுவான்.

அவ்வாறு, அவன் உங்களிடம் அதனைக் கேட்டுப் பின்னர் உங்களை அவன் வற்புறுத்தினாலும், (அதனைக் கொடுக்காது) நீங்கள் உலோபத்தனம் செய்வீர்கள், (அந்நேரத்தில்) அவன், உங்களுடைய கபடங்களை வெளியாக்கியும்விடுவான்.

If He were to ask you for it and insist that you give it, you would greedily withhold, and He would expose your resentment [for spending].

Haantum haolai tudAAawna litunfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi faminkum man yabkhalu waman yabkhal fainnama yabkhalu AAan nafsihi waAllahu alghaniyyu waantumu alfuqarao wain tatawallaw yastabdil qawman ghayrakum thumma la yakoonoo amthalakum

Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allâh, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his own self. But Allâh is Rich (Free of all needs), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islâm and the obedience to Allâh), He will exchange you for some other people and they will not be your likes.

Here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of Allah - but among you are those who withhold [out of greed]. And whoever withholds only withholds [benefit] from himself; and Allah is the Free of need, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you.

(மக்களே!) நீங்கள் நன்கு கவனத்தில் வையுங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் செலவு செய்ய அழைக்கப்படும் சமயத்தில், கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்பவரும் உங்களில் இருக்கின்றார். அவ்வாறு எவரேனும் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்தால், அவர் தனக்குக் கேடாகவே கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்கின்றார். அல்லாஹ்வோ தேவை யற்றவன். நீங்கள் தேவைப்பட்டவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றீர்கள். (அவனுடைய கட்டளைகளைப்) பின்னும் நீங்கள் புறக்கணித்தால், (உங்களை அழித்து) உங்களை அல்லாத மக்களை (உங்கள் இடத்தில்) மாற்றி (அமைத்து) விடுவான். பின்னர், அவர்கள் உங்களைப் போல் இருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

அறிந்துகொள்க! அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் செலவு செய்யுமாறு அழைக்கப்படும் கூட்டத்தினர் நீங்கள், ஆனால் உங்களில் கஞ்சத்தனம் உடையோரும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் எவன் கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்கிறானோ, அவன் தன் ஆத்மாவுக்கே கஞ்சத்தனம் செய்கிறான் - அல்லாஹ் எவ்விதத் தேவையுமற்றவன் - நீங்கள் தேவையுடையவர்களாக இருக்கின்றீர்கள். எனவே (சத்தியத்தை) நீங்கள் புறக்கணிப்பீர்களாயின், உங்களல்லாத (வேறு ஒரு) சமூகத்தாரை அவன் பதிலாகக் கொண்டு வருவான் பின்னர், உங்களைப் போன்று அவர்கள் இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

(மனிதர்களே!) அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்! நீங்கள்தான் அவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் செலவு செய்வதற்காக நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்படுகிறீர்கள், அப்பொழுது உலோபத்தனம் செய்வோரும் உங்களில் இருக்கின்றனர், மேலும், எவர் உலோபத்தனம் செய்கிறாரோ, அவர் உலோபத்தனம் செய்வதெல்லாம் அவர் தனக்கே (கேடாகத்) தான், இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் (தேவையற்ற) சீமான், நீங்களோ தேவையுடைவர்கள், மேலும், (அவனுடைய கட்டளைகளை) நீங்கள் புறக்கணிப்பீர்களானால், (உங்களை அழித்து) உங்களையல்லாத (வேறு) சமூகத்தாரை (உங்கள் இடத்தில்) அவன் மாற்றி விடுவான், பின்னர், அவர்கள் உங்களைப் போன்றோராக இருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

O you who are being called to spend in Allah’s way; among you are some who greedily withhold, but whoever withholds, he in fact withholds against himself, for Allah is the Self-Sufficient, whereas you are in need [of Him]. If you turn away, He will replace you with another people, then they will not be like you.
