Hâ-Mîm.[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

ஹாமீம்.

Hā Mīm.

Waalkitabi almubeeni

By the manifest Book (this Qur'ân) that makes things clear.

By the clear Book,

தெளிவான இவ்வேதத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

தெளிவான இவ்வேதத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

தெளிவான இவ்வேதத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

By the clear Book.

Inna anzalnahu fee laylatin mubarakatin inna kunna munthireena

We sent it (this Qur'ân) down on a blessed night [(i.e. the Night of Al-Qadr, Sûrah No. 97) in the month of Ramadân – the 9th month of the Islâmic calendar]. Verily, We are ever warning (mankind that Our torment will reach those who disbelieve in Our Oneness of Lordship and in Our Oneness of worship).

Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].

நிச்சயமாக இதனை மிக்க பாக்கியமுள்ள ("லைலத்துல் கத்ரு" என்ற) ஓர் இரவில் (முதல் முறையாக) இறக்கி வைத்து, நிச்சயமாக நாம் (இதன் மூலம்) அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கின்றோம்.

நிச்சயமாக, நாம் அதனை பாக்கியமுள்ள இரவிலே இறக்கினோம்; நிச்சயமாக (அதன் மூலம்) அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரித்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கின்றோம்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம், இதனைப் பாக்கியமுள்ள ஓர் இரவில் இறக்கி வைத்தோம், நிச்சயமாக நாம் (இவ்வேதத்தின் மூலம்) அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யக்கூடியோராய் இருந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.

Indeed, We sent it down on a blessed night, for We give warning.

Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeemin

Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments.

On that night is made distinct every precise matter -

உறுதியான எல்லா காரியங்களும் அதில்தான் நம்முடைய கட்டளையின்படி (நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்டு) பிரித்துக் கொடுக்கப் படுகின்றன.

அதில் முக்கியமான ஒவ்வொரு விஷயங்களும் தீர்மானிக்கப்படுகிறது.

அந்த இரவில் உறுதிசெய்யப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு காரியமும் (பிரித்துத்) தெளிவு செய்யப்படுகிறது.

On that night, every matter of wisdom is determined

Amran min AAindina inna kunna mursileena

As a Command (or this Qur'ân or the Decree of every matter) from Us. Verily, We are ever sending (the Messengers),

[Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger]

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் (உங்களை அவர்களிடம் நம்முடைய தூதராக) அனுப்புகின்றோம்.

அக்கட்டளை நம்மிடமிருந்து வந்ததாகும்; நாம் நிச்சயமாக (தூதர்களை) அனுப்புபவர்களாக இருந்தோம்.

நம்மிடமிருந்துள்ள கட்டளையாக (அது நடந்தேறும்) நிச்சயமாக நாம் (தூதர்களை) அனுப்புகிறவர்களாக இருந்தோம்.

by Our command. We have always sent messengers.

Rahmatan min rabbika innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu

(As) a mercy from your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

(அது) உங்களது இறைவனின் அருளாகும். நிச்சயமாக அவன் (அனைத்தையும்) செவியுறுபவனும், நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(அது) உம்முடைய இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்துள்ள ரஹ்மத்தாகும்; நிச்சயமாக, அவன் (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்பவன்; நன்கறிபவன்.

உமதிரட்சகனிடமிருந்துள்ள அருளாக (இதை இறக்கினோம்) நிச்சயமாக அவனே (யாவையும்) செவியேற்கிறவன், நன்கறிகிறவன்.

as a mercy from your Lord. He is indeed the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing,

Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena

The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you (but) have a faith with certainty.

Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain.

நீங்கள் மெய்யாகவே (உண்மையை) நம்புபவர்களாக இருந்தால் வானங்கள், பூமி, இன்னும் இவைகளுக்கு மத்தியில் உள்ளவைகளின் சொந்தக்காரன் அவனே (என்பதை நம்புங்கள்).

நீங்கள் உறுதியுடையவர்களாயிருப்பின், வானங்கள், பூமி, இவ்விரண்டிற்கு மிடையிலுள்ளவை ஆகியவற்றிற்கு அவனே இறைவன் (என்பதைக் காண்பீர்கள்).

(இவ்வேதத்தை இறக்கிவைத்தவனாகிய அவனே) வானங்களுக்கும், பூமிக்கும், அவ்விரண்டிற்கு மத்தியிலுள்ளவைகளுக்கும் இரட்சகன் (என்பதை) நீங்கள் உறுதியுடையவர்களாக இருப்பின் (அறிவீர்கள்).

Lord of the heavens and earth and all that is between them, if only you had sure faith.

La ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu rabbukum warabbu abaikumu alawwaleena

Lâ ilaha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). It is He Who gives life and causes death – your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers.

There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.

அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு நாயனில்லை. அவனே உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான்; மரணிக்கவும் செய்கின்றான். அவனே உங்களின் இறைவனும் உங்கள் மூதாதைகளின் இறைவனுமாவான்.

அவனையன்றி (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை. அவன் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்; அவனே மரிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; அவனே உங்கள் இறைவனாகவும் முன் சென்ற உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் இறைவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அவனைத் தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை, அவனே உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான், அவனே இறக்குமாறும் செய்கிறான், (அவனே) உங்களின் இரட்சகனும், முன்னோர்களான உங்கள் மூதாதையரின் இரட்சகனுமாவான்.

None has the right to be worshiped except Him, Who gives life and causes death – your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers.

Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona

Nay! They play about in doubt.

But they are in doubt, amusing themselves.

எனினும், அவர்கள் (இவ்விஷயத்திலும் வீண்) சந்தேகத்தில் விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்!

ஆனால், அவர்கள் சந்தேகத்தில் விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

எனினும், அவர்கள் சந்தேகத்தில் விளையாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

But they are in doubt, amusing themselves.

Fairtaqib yawma tatee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin

Then wait you for the Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke,

Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke.

(நபியே!) தெளிவானதொரு புகை, வானத்திலிருந்து வரும் நாளை எதிர்பார்த்திருங்கள்.

ஆகவே, வானம் ஒரு தெளிவான புகையைக் கொண்டு வரும் நாளை நீர் எதிர் பார்ப்பீராக.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) வானம் தெளிவானதொரு புகையைக் கொண்டு வரும் நாளை நீர் எதிர்பார்ப்பீராக!

So wait for a day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke,

Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun

Covering the people, this is a painful torment.

Covering the people; this is a painful torment.

மனிதர்கள் அனைவரையும் அது சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளும். அது துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையாகும்.

(அப்புகை) மனிதர்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும்; “இது நோவினை செய்யும் வேதனையாகும்.”

மனிதர்களை அ(ப்புகையான)து சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும், “இது துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையாகும்”.

that will overwhelm the people. This is a painful punishment!

Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathaba inna muminoona

(They will say): "Our Lord! Remove the torment from us, really we shall become believers!"

[They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers."

(அந்நாளில் மனிதர்கள் இறைவனை நோக்கி) "எங்கள் இறைவனே! எங்களை விட்டும் இவ்வேதனையை நீக்கிவிடு. நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் (உன்னை) நம்பிக்கை கொள்கின்றோம்" (என்று கூறுவார்கள்).

“எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ எங்களை விட்டும் இந்த வேதனையை நீக்குவாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் முஃமின்களாக இருக்கிறோம்” (எனக் கூறுவர்).

“எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நீ எங்களைவிட்டும் இவ்வேதனையை நீக்கி விடுவாயாக, நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் (உன்னை) விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களாக இருக்கின்றோம்” (என்று அந்நாளில் மனிதர்கள், அல்லாஹ்விடம் பிரார்த்திப்பார்கள்).

[They will cry,] “Our Lord, remove the punishment from us; we will surely believe!”

Anna lahumu alththikra waqad jaahum rasoolun mubeenun

How can there be for them an admonition (at the time when the torment has reached them), when a Messenger explaining things clearly has already come to them.

How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger.

(அந்நேரத்தில் அவர்களின்) நல்லுணர்ச்சி எவ்வாறு அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கும்? நிச்சயமாக (நம்முடைய) தெளிவான தூதர் (இதற்கு முன்னர்) அவர்களிடம் வந்தே இருக்கின்றார்.

நினைவுறுத்தும் நல்லுபதேசம் அவர்களுக்கு எவ்வாறு (அந்நேரம்) பயனளிக்கும்? (முன்னமேயே சத்தியத்தை) விளக்குபவரான தூதர் அவர்களிடம் வந்திருக்கின்றார்.

(அந்நேரத்தில்) அவர்களுக்கு நல்லுபதேசம் எவ்வாறு பயனளிக்கும்? நிச்சயமாக (சத்தியத்தை) விளக்குபவரான (நம்முடைய) தூதர் (இதற்குமுன்னர்) அவர்களிடம் வந்தே இருக்கின்றார்.

How will they take heed, when a messenger who explained things clearly has already come to them?

Thumma tawallaw AAanhu waqaloo muAAallamun majnoonun

Then they had turned away from him (Messenger Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) and said: (He is) one taught (by a human being), a madman!"

Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."

எனினும், அவர்கள் அவரை புறக்கணித்து, (அவரைப்பற்றி "இவர்) எவராலோ கற்பிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு பைத்தியக்காரன்தான்" என்று கூறினர்.

அவர்கள் அவரை விட்டுப் பின் வாங்கிக் கொண்டு (மற்றவர்களால் இவர்) “கற்றுக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்; பைத்தியக்காரர்” எனக் கூறினர்.

பின்னர் அவர்கள் அவரைப் புறக்கணித்தனர், (அவரைப் பற்றி, “இவர் பிறரால்) கற்றுக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர், பைத்தியக்காரர்” என்றும் கூறினர்.

Then they turned away from him and said, “[He is] a madman, taught by others.”

Inna kashifoo alAAathabi qaleelan innakum AAaidoona

Verily, We shall remove the torment for a while. Verily, you will revert (to disbelief).

Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief].

(மெய்யாகவே நீங்கள் உணர்ச்சி பெறக்கூடுமென்று) அவ்வேதனையைப் பின்னும் சிறிது காலத்திற்கு நீக்கி வைத்தோம். (எனினும்) நிச்சயமாக (நீங்கள் பாவம்) செய்யவே மீளுகின்றீர்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் வேதனையைச் சிறிது (காலத்திற்காக) விலக்குவோம்; (ஆனால், பின்னரும்) நீங்கள் நிச்சயமாகத் (தீமையின் பக்கம்) திரும்புபவர்களே.

நிச்சயமாக அவ்வேதனயை(ப் பின்னும்) சிறிது (காலத்திற்கு) நாம் நீக்குவோராய் இருக்கிறோம், (எனினும்) நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள், (நிராகரிப்பின்பாலே) மீளக்கூடியவர்களாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

We shall hold the punishment back for a while, but you will surely return [to disbelief].

Yawma nabtishu albatshata alkubra inna muntaqimoona

On the Day when We shall seize you with the greatest seizure (punishment). Verily, We will exact retribution.

The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution.

மிக்க பலமாக அவர்களை நாம் பிடிக்கும் அந்நாளில் நிச்சயமாக (அவர்களிடம்) பழிவாங்கியே தீருவோம்.

ஒருநாள் நாம் (உங்களைப்) பெரும் பிடியாகப் பிடிப்போம்; நிச்சயமாக (அந்நாளில்) நாம் பழி தீர்ப்போம்.

மிகப் பெரும்பிடியாக அவர்களை நாம் பிடிக்கும் (அந்) நாளில் நிச்சயமாக (அவர்களைத்) தண்டிப்போராய் இருக்கிறோம்.

On the Day when We seize [them] with the greatest assault, We will surely exact retribution.

Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma firAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun

And indeed We tried before them Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) people, when there came to them a noble Messenger [i.e. Mûsâ (Moses) ['alayhis-salâm]],

And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger,

இவர்களுக்கு முன்னரும், ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய மக்களை நிச்சயமாக நாம் சோதித்தோம். அவர்களிடம் கண்ணியமான (நம்முடைய) ஒரு தூதர் வந்தார்.

அன்றியும், நாம் இவர்களுக்கு முன்னரே ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய சமூகத்தவரை நிச்சயமாகச் சோதித்தோம்; கண்ணியமான தூதரும் அவர்களிடம் வந்தார்.

மேலும், இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய சமூகத்தவரை திட்டமாக நாம் சோதித்தோம் அவர்களிடம் கண்ணியமான (நம்முடைய) தூதரும் வந்தார்.

Indeed, We tested the people of Pharaoh before them, when a noble messenger came to them,

An addoo ilayya AAibada Allahi innee lakum rasoolun ameenun

Saying: "Deliver to me the slaves of Allâh (i.e. the Children of Israel). Verily, I am to you a Messenger worthy of all trust.

[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger,"

(வந்த அவர்) "அல்லாஹ்வின் அடியார்(களாகிய இஸ்ராயீலின் சந்ததி)களை என்னிடம் ஒப்படைத்துவிடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக நான் (இறைவனிடமிருந்து) உங்களிடம் வந்துள்ள நம்பிக்கையான ஒரு தூதர்.

அவர் (கூறினார்:) “என்னிடம் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் அடியார்களை ஒப்படைத்து விடுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுக்கு நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய (இறை) தூதனாவேன்.

(அவர்) “அல்லாஹ்வின் அடியார்(களாகிய இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்)களை என்னிடம் ஒப்படைத்து விடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக, நான் உங்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து வந்துள்ள) நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய ஒரு தூதனாவேன் (என்றும்),

[saying], “Hand over to me the slaves of Allah. I am indeed a trustworthy messenger to you,

Waan la taAAloo AAala Allahi innee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin

"And exalt not yourselves against Allâh. Truly, I have come to you with a manifest authority.

And [saying], "Be not haughty with Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority.

அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நீங்கள் மாறு செய்யாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களிடம் தெளிவான ஓர் அத்தாட்சி கொண்டு வந்திருக் கின்றேன்" என்று கூறினார். (அதற்கவர்கள் "நாங்கள் உங்களை கல்லெறிந்து கொன்று விடுவோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள். அதற்கு மூஸா)

அன்றியும், “நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எதிராக உங்களை உயர்த்திக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களிடம் தெளிவான சான்றுகளுடன் வந்திருக்கின்றேன்.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வின் (கட்டளைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப் படிவதை விட்டுவிடுவதன் மூலம் அவன்) மீது உங்களை நீங்கள் உயர்த்திக்கொள்ளாதீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக நான், உங்களிடம் தெளிவான ஒரு சான்றைக் கொண்டுவந்திருக்கிறேன்” (என்றும் கூறினார்.)

and do not be arrogant towards Allah. I have certainly come to you with a clear proof.

Wainnee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum an tarjumooni

"And truly, I seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord, lest you should stone me (or call me a sorcerer or kill me).

And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.

"என்னை நீங்கள் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்லாதிருக்கும்படி எனது இறைவனும், உங்கள் இறைவனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்விடம் நான் பாதுகாப்பைத் தேடுகிறேன்" என்றார்.

அன்றியும், “என்னை நீங்கள் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்லாதிருக்கும் பொருட்டு நான், என்னுடைய இறைவனும் உங்களுடைய இறைவனுமாகிய அவனிடமே நிச்சயமாகப் பாதுகாவல் தேடுகிறேன்.

“என்னை நீங்கள் கல்லாலெறிந்து (கொன்று) விடுவதைவிட்டும் என் இரட்சகனும், உங்கள் இரட்சகனுமாகியவனிடம் நிச்சயமாக, நான் பாதுகாவல் தேடிக்கொண்டுவிட்டேன்” (என்றும்),

And I certainly seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me to death.

Wain lam tuminoo lee faiAAtazilooni

"But if you believe me not, then keep away from me and leave me alone."

But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone."

"நீங்கள் என்னை நம்பாவிடில் என்னைவிட்டு விலகிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்" (என்றும் கூறி)

“மேலும், நீங்கள் என் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவில்லையாயின் என்னை விட்டு விலகிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்” (என்று மூஸா கூறினார்).

இன்னும், நீங்கள் என்னை (அல்லாஹ்வின்) நபியென) நம்பிக்கைக் கொள்ளவில்லையாயின், என்னை விட்டு நீங்கிவிடுங்கள் (என்றும் கூறினார்.)

If you do not believe me, then leave me alone.”

FadaAAa rabbahu anna haolai qawmun mujrimoona

(But they were aggressive) so he [Mûsâ (Moses)] called upon his Lord (saying): "These are indeed the people who are Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals)."

And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people.

தன் இறைவனை நோக்கி "நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் பாவம் செய்யும் மக்களாகவே இருக்கின்றார்கள்" என்றும் கூறினார்.

(அவர்கள் வரம்பு மீறியவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள்). “நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளான சமூகத்தாராகவே இருக்கிறார்கள்” என்று தம் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கூறினார்.

பின்னர், நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளான சமூகத்தவராகவே இருக்கிறார்கள் என தன் இரட்சகனை அவர் அழைத்துப் பிரார்த்தித்தார்.

Then he called upon his Lord, “These are a wicked people”.

Faasri biAAibadee laylan innakum muttabaAAoona

(Allâh said): "Depart you with My slaves by night. Surely, you will be pursued.

[Allah said], "Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued.

(அதற்கு இறைவன்) "நீங்கள் (இஸ்ரவேலர்களாகிய) என்னுடைய அடியார்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு இரவோடு இரவாக சென்று விடுங்கள். எனினும், நிச்சயமாக (அவர்கள்) உங்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து வருவார்கள்.

“என் அடியார்களை (அழைத்து)க் கொண்டு, இரவில் நீர் (வேறிடம்) செல்க; நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் பின் தொடரப்படுவீர்கள்” (என்று இறைவன் கூறினான்.)

(அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்,) “நீர் (இஸ்ராயீலீன் மக்களாகிய) என்னுடைய அடியார்களை (அழைத்து)க்கொண்டு இரவில் செல்வீராக, நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் பின் தொடரப்படுவீர்கள்_

[Allah said], “Leave along with My slaves by night; you will surely be pursued.

Waotruki albahra rahwan innahum jundun mughraqoona

"And leave the sea as it is (quiet and divided). Verily, they are a host to be drowned."

And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned."

(நீங்கள் செல்வதற்காகப் பிளந்த) கடலை வறண்டுபோன அதே நிலையில் விட்டு (நீங்கள் கடலைக் கடந்து) விடுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய படைகள் அனைத்தும் கடலில் மூழ்கடிக்கப் பட்டுவிடும்" (என்று கூறி மூழ்கடித்தான்.)

“அன்றியும். அக்கடலைப் பிளவுள்ளதாகவே விட்டுச் செல்லும், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (அதில்) மூழ்கடிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய படையினராகவே இருக்கின்றார்கள் (எனக் கூறி” இறைவன் ஃபிர்அவ்னையும் அவன் படையினரையும் மூழ்கடித்தான்).

“அன்றியும், (பிளந்த) அக்கடலை பிளவுபட்டதாக விட்டு (நீங்கள் அதை கடந்து) விடுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் மூழ்கடிக்கப்பட வேண்டிய படையினராக இருக்கிறார்கள் (என்று கூறி, அவ்விதமே மூழ்கடித்தான்).

And leave the sea parted; for they are surely an army destined to drown.”

Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin

How many of gardens and springs that they [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) people] left behind,

How much they left behind of gardens and springs

(அவர்கள்) எத்தனையோ சோலைகளையும், நீரருவிகளையும்,

எத்தனை தோட்டங்களையும், நீர் ஊற்றுக்களையும் அவர்கள் விட்டுச் சென்றார்கள்?

எத்தனை(யோ) தோட்டங்களையும், நீரூற்றுகளையும், அவர்கள் விட்டுச் சென்றுவிட்டனர்.

[Imagine] how many gardens and springs they left behind,

WazurooAAin wamaqamin kareemin

And green crops (fields) and goodly places,

And crops and noble sites

எவ்வளவோ விவசாயங்களையும், மேலான வீடுகளையும் விட்டுச் சென்றனர்.

இன்னும் (எத்தனையோ) விளைநிலங்களையும் நேர்த்தியான மாளிகைகளையும் (விட்டுச் சென்றார்கள்).

இன்னும் (எத்தனையோ) விவசாய (நில)ங்களையும், (அழகுமிகுந்த) மேலான வீடுகளையும் (விட்டுச் சென்றனர்).

and crops and splendid mansions,

WanaAAmatin kanoo feeha fakiheena

And comforts of life wherein they used to take delight!

And comfort wherein they were amused.

அவர்கள் இன்பம் அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த எத்தனையோ சுகம் தரும் பொருள்களையும் (விட்டுச் சென்றனர்.)

இன்னும் அவர்கள் இன்பமாக அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த சுகானுபவங்களையும் (விட்டுச் சென்றார்கள்).

இன்னும், அவர்கள் எதில் இன்பம் அனுபவித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தனரோ அத்தகைய (எத்தனையோ) சுகானுபவப் பொருளையும் (விட்டுச் சென்றனர்).

and luxuries they used to rejoice therein.

Kathalika waawrathnaha qawman akhareena

Thus (it was)! And We made other people inherit them (i.e. We made the Children of Israel to inherit the kingdom of Egypt).

Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people.

இவ்வாறே (நடைபெற்றது. அவற்றையெல்லாம் அவர்கள் அல்லாத) வேறு மக்களுக்குச் சொந்தமாக்கி வைத்தோம்.

அவ்வாறே (முடிவு ஏற்பட்டதும்) அவற்றிற்கு வேறு சமூகத்தாரை வாரிசாக நாம் ஆக்கினோம்.

இவ்வாறே_(நடந்தேறியது), அவற்றிக்கு வேறு சமூகத்தாரையும் அனந்தரக்காரர்களாக்கினோம்.

So it was; and We made another people inherit all that.

Fama bakat AAalayhimu alssamao waalardu wama kanoo munthareena

And the heavens and the earth wept not for them, nor were they given respite.

And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved.

(அழிந்துபோன) அவர்களைப் பற்றி, வானமோ பூமியோ (ஒன்றுமே துக்கித்து) அழவில்லை! (தப்பித்துக் கொள்ளவும்) அவர்களுக்கு அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்படவில்லை.

ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்காக வானமும் பூமியும் அழவுமில்லை; (தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள) அவகாசமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களாகவும் அவர்களில்லை.  

(அழிந்துபோன) அவர்களுக்காக வானமும், பூமியும் (துக்கித்து) அழவில்லை, (தப்பிச் செல்ல) அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களாகவும் அவர்கள் இருக்கவில்லை.

Neither the heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they given any respite.

Walaqad najjayna banee israeela mina alAAathabi almuheeni

And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment,

And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment -

(இவ்வாறு) இஸ்ராயீலின் சந்ததிகளை ஃபிர்அவ்ன் இழிவுபடுத்தி, (அவர்களை அவன்) செய்து கொண்டிருந்த வேதனையில் இருந்தும் மெய்யாக நாமே பாதுகாத்துக் கொண்டோம்.

நாம் இஸ்ராயீலின் சந்ததியை இழிவு தரும் வேதனையிலிருந்தும் திட்டமாகக் காப்பாற்றினோம்;

மேலும், (ஃபிர் அவ்ன் இழைத்த) இழிவுதரும் வேதனையிலிருந்து இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்களை நாம் திட்டமாகக் காப்பாற்றினோம்.

Thus did We save the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment,

Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyan mina almusrifeena

From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); verily, he was arrogant and was of the Musrifûn (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins).

From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors.

ஃபிர்அவ்னோ வரம்பு மீ(றித் துன்பு)று(த்து)பவனாகவும், மாறு செய்பவனாகவுமே இருந்தான்.

ஃபிர்அவ்னை விட்டும் (காப்பாற்றினோம்); நிச்சயமாக அவன் ஆணவம் கொண்டவனாக, வரம்பு மீறியவனாக இருந்தான்.

ஃபிர் அவ்னைவிட்டும் (காப்பாற்றிவிட்டோம்), நிச்சயமாக, அவன் (அடக்கி ஆளுதல், ஆணவம் கொள்ளுதல் ஆகியவற்றில்) உயர்ந்தவனாக (நிராகரிப்பில்) வரம்பு மீறியவர்களில் (உள்ளவனாக) இருந்தான்.

from Pharaoh. He was indeed arrogant who transgressed all bounds.

Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAala AAilmin AAala alAAalameena

And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'آlamîn (mankind and jinn) [during the time of Mûsâ (Moses)] with knowledge,

And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds.

(இவ்வாறு ஃபிர்அவ்னை மூழ்கடித்த பின்னர்) இஸ்ராயீலுடைய சந்ததிகளின் தன்மையை அறிந்தே உலகத்தார் அனைவரிலும் அவர்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தோம்.

நிச்சயமாக, நாம் நன்கு தெரிந்தே அவர்களை உலக மக்களிலிருந்து தேர்ந்தெடுத்தோம்.

(இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்களாகிய) அவர்களை நன்கு அறிந்தே அகிலத்தாரை விடவும் அவர்களை நாம் திட்டமாகத் தெரிவு செய்தோம்.

We chose them with knowledge above all others.

Waataynahum mina alayati ma feehi balaon mubeenun

And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial.

And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial.

இன்னும், அவர்களுக்கு (மன்னுஸல்வா போன்ற) பல அத்தாட்சிகளையும் நாம் கொடுத்தோம். அவைகளில், அவர்களுக்குப் பெரும் சோதனை இருந்தது.

அன்றியும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அத்தாட்சிகளை கொடுத்தோம்; அவற்றில் துலக்கமான சோதனை இருந்தது.

மேலும், எதில் தெளிவான சோதனை இருந்ததோ அத்தகைய அத்தாட்சிகளை (மன்னு, ஸல்வா என்னும் உணவை இறக்கிவைத்தது, கடலை பிளக்கவைத்தது போன்றவற்றை) அவர்களுக்கு நாம் கொடுத்தோம்.

And We gave them signs in which there was a clear test.

Inna haolai layaqooloona

Verily, these (Quraish people) are saying:

Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying,

(எனினும்,) நிச்சயமாக (மக்கத்துக் காஃபிர்களாகிய) இவர்கள் கூறுவதாவது:

நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (மக்கா காஃபிர்கள்) கூறுகிறார்கள்:

நிச்சயமாக (காஃபிர்களாகிய) இவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்.

Indeed, these [Makkans] say,

In hiya illa mawtatuna aloola wama nahnu bimunshareena

"There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected.

"There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected.

"இவ்வுலகில் நாம் மரிக்கும் இம்மரணத்தைத் தவிர வேறொன்றும் இல்லை. (மரணித்த பின்னர்,) உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்பப்படமாட்டோம்" (என்று கூறுவதுடன்,)

“எங்களுக்கு முதலில் ஏற்படும் மரணத்தைத் தவிர வேறு எதுவுமில்லை; நாங்கள் மீண்டும் எழுப்படுபவர்கள் அல்லர்.”

“அது (இவ்வுலகில்) எங்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் முதல் மரணத்தைத் தவிர வேறில்லை, இன்னும், (மரணித்த பின்னர்) நாங்கள் உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்பப்படுபவர்களுமல்லர்.”

“There is nothing after our first death, and we will not be resurrected,

Fatoo biabaina in kuntum sadiqeena

"Then bring back our forefathers, if you speak the truth!"

Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை நோக்கி,) "நீங்கள் கூறுவது உண்மையாயின், (இறந்து போன) எங்கள் மூதாதைகளைக் கொண்டு வாருங்கள்" (என்றனர்).

“நீங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருந்தால், எங்கள் மூதாதையரை (திரும்பக்) கொண்டு வாருங்கள்.”

(என்று கூறுவதுடன் விசுவாசிகளிடம்) “நீங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருந்தால் (இறந்துபோன) எங்கள் மூதாதையரைக் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்” (என்றனர்).

then bring back our forefathers if you are truthful.”

Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin waallatheena min qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeena

Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals).

Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals.

(நபியே!) இவர்கள் மேலானவர்களா? அல்லது இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்த "துப்பஉ" என்னும் மக்கள் மேலானவர்களா? அவர்களையும் கூட நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம். ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அவர்களும் பாவம் செய்பவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள்.

இவர்கள் மேலா? அல்லது “துப்பஉ சமூகத்தார்களும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களுமா? நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பாவம் செய்பவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள்; (ஆகவே) அவர்களை நாம் அழித்தோம்.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் மிகச் சிறந்தவர்களா? அல்லது “துப்பஃஉ“ சமூகத்தாரும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களுமா? அவர்களை(யும்) நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம், (ஏனென்றால்,) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பாவம் செய்பவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள்.

Are they better [in power] or the people of Tubba‘ and those who were before them? We destroyed them, for they were truly wicked.

Wama khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma laAAibeena

And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play.

And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play.

வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், அதற்கு மத்தியில் உள்ளவைகளையும் விளையாட்டுக்காக நாம் படைக்கவில்லை.

மேலும், வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் இவ்விரண்டிற்கும் இடையே உள்ளவற்றையும் விளையாட்டிற்காக நாம் படைக்கவில்லை.

வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், அவ்விரண்டிற்கு மத்தியிலுள்ளவைகளையும் விளையாடுவோராய் நாம் படைக்கவில்லை.

We have not created the heavens and earth and all that is between them for amusement.

Ma khalaqnahuma illa bialhaqqi walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona

We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not.

We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know.

நிச்சயமாக தக்க காரணத்திற்காகவே அன்றி, இவைகளை நாம் படைக்கவில்லை. எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் இதனை அறிந்துகொள்வதில்லை.

இவ்விரண்டையும், சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டேயன்றி நாம் படைக்கவில்லை. எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

(நிச்சயமாக) அவ்விரண்டையும் உண்மையைக்கொண்டே தவிர_நாம் படைக்கவில்லை, எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதனை) அறிய மாட்டார்கள்.

We have not created them except for a true purpose, but most of them do not know.

Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhum ajmaAAeena

Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allâh will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them –

Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all -

நிச்சயமாக நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாள்தான் அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையாகும்.

நிச்சயமாக (நியாயத்) தீர்ப்பு நாள்தாம் அவர்கள் யாவருக்கும் குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையாகும்.

நிச்சயமாக (நியாயத்) தீர்ப்பு நாள் அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் (குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட) தவணையாகும்.

Indeed, the Day of Judgment is the time appointed for them all,

Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlan shayan wala hum yunsaroona

The Day when a Maula (a near relative) cannot avail a Maula (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive,

The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped -

அந்நாளில், ஒரு நண்பன் மற்றொரு நண்பனுக்கு எத்தகைய உதவியும் புரிந்து பயனளிக்க மாட்டான். அவனுக்கும் எவருடைய உதவியும் கிடைக்காது.

ஒரு நண்பன் மற்றொரு நண்பனுக்கு எவ்விதப் பயனும் அளிக்க முடியாத நாள்; அன்றியும் (அந்நாளில்) அவர்கள் உதவி செய்யப்படவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

அந்நாளில், ஒரு நண்பன் மற்றொரு நண்பனுக்கு எத்தகைய (உதவியும் புரிந்து) பயனும் அளிக்கமாட்டான், அன்றியும், அவர்கள் (மற்றவர்களிடமிருந்து) உதவியும் செய்யப்படமாட்டார்கள்.

the Day when no friend will avail another in the least, nor will they be helped,

Illa man rahima Allahu innahu huwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu

Except him on whom Allâh has mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

ஆயினும், எவர்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் அருள் புரிந்தானோ (அவர்களுக்கு எல்லா உதவியும் கிடைக்கும்.) நிச்சயமாக அவன் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் கிருபையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(எவர்கள் மீது) அல்லாஹ் கிருபை செய்கிறானோ, அவர்களைத் தவிர - நிச்சயமாக அவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்; மிக்க கிருபையுடையவன்.  

(ஆயினும்) அல்லாஹ் அருள் புரிந்தோர் தவிர (அவர்களுக்கு சகல உதவியும் கிடைக்கும்) நிச்சயமாக அவனே (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்.

except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

Inna shajarata alzzaqqoomi

Verily, the tree of Zaqqûm

Indeed, the tree of zaqqum

நிச்சயமாக (நரகத்திலிருக்கும்) கள்ளி மரம்தான்

நிச்சயமாக, ஜக்கூம் (கள்ளி) மரம் (அதுவே).

நிச்சயமாக (நரகத்திலிருக்கும்) கள்ளிமரம்.

Indeed, the tree of Zaqqūm

TaAAamu alatheemi

Will be the food of the sinners.

Is food for the sinful.

பாவிகளின் உணவு.

பாவிகளுக்குரிய உணவு;

(அதுவே) பாவிகளின் ஆகாரமாகும்.

will be the food of the sinful,

Kaalmuhli yaghlee fee albutooni

Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies,

Like murky oil, it boils within bellies

(அது) உருகிய செம்பைப் போல் அவர்களுடைய வயிற்றில் கொதிக்கும்.

அது உருக்கப்பட்ட செம்பு போல் இருக்கும்; வயிறுகளில் அது கொதிக்கும்.

(அது) உருகிய செம்பைப்போல் (அவர்களுடைய) வயிறுகளில் கொதிக்கும்.

like molten metal that will boil in their bellies

Kaghalyi alhameemi

Like the boiling of scalding water.

Like the boiling of scalding water.

சூடான தண்ணீர் கொதிப்பதைப் போல் (அது கொதித்துப் பொங்கி வரும்).

வெந்நீர் கொதிப்பதைப் போல்.

கடுமையாகக் காய்ச்சப்பட்ட நீர் கொதிப்பதைபோல் (அது கொதித்துப் பொங்கிவரும்).

like the boiling of scalding water.

Khuthoohu faiAAtiloohu ila sawai aljaheemi

(It will be said:) "Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire,

[It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire,

"அவர்களைப் பிடித்து இழுத்துக் கொண்டு நரகத்தின் மத்தியில் செல்லுங்கள்.

“அவனைப்பிடித்துக் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் நரகத்தின் மையத்திற்கு இழுத்துச் செல்லுங்கள்.

(குற்றவாளியான) அவனைப் பிடியுங்கள்; பின்னர், நரகத்தின் மையத்திற்கு இழுத்துக்கொண்டு செல்லுங்கள்.

[It will be said], “Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire.

Thumma subboo fawqa rasihi min AAathabi alhameemi

"Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water.

Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water."

அவர்களுடைய தலைக்கு மேல் கொதித்(துக் காய்ந்)த தண்ணீரை ஊற்றி நோவினை செய்யுங்கள்" (என்று கூறப் படுவதுடன், அவர்களை நோக்கி ஏளனமாக,)

“பின்னர், அவனது தலைக்கு மேல் வேதனை கொடுக்கும் கொதிக்கும் நீரை ஊற்றுங்கள்.

பின்னர், அவனுடைய தலைக்கு மேல், கொதித்த நீரின் வேதனையிலிருந்து ஊற்றுங்கள், (என்று நரகக்காவலாளிகளுக்குக் கூறப்படுவதுடன், அதிலிருக்கும் பாவிகளிடம்.)

Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water.”

Thuq innaka anta alAAazeezu alkareemu

"Taste you (this)! Verily, you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous!

[It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble!

"நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் மிக்க கண்ணியமும் மரியாதையும் உடையவர்கள். ஆதலால், நீங்கள் (இவ்வேதனையைச் சிறிது) சுவைத்துப் பாருங்கள்" (என்றும்,)

“நீ (இதைச்) சுவைத்துப்பார்! நிச்சயமாக நீ வல்லமை சாலியாகவும், சங்கையுடையவனாகவும் இருந்தாய்!

“நீ (இவ்வேதனையைச்) சுவைத்துப்பார், நிச்சயமாக, நீ தான் மிக்க கண்ணியமும் மரியாதையுமுடையவன், (என்று ஏளனமாகக் கூறப்படும்).

“Taste this. You are surely the mighty and honorable!

Inna hatha ma kuntum bihi tamtaroona

"Verily, this is that whereof you used to doubt!"

Indeed, this is what you used to dispute."

"நிச்சயமாக இதுதான் நீங்கள் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது" (என்றும் கூறப்படும்).

“நிச்சயமாக இதுதான் நீங்கள் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களே அதுவாகும்” (என்று அவர்களிடம் சொல்லப்படும்).

நிச்சயமாக இது எதை நீங்கள் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களோ அதுவேயாகும் (என்றும் கூறப்படும்).

This is what you [all] used to doubt.”

Inna almuttaqeena fee maqamin ameenin

Verily, the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2) will be in place of Security (Paradise).

Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place;

இறை அச்சமுடையவர்களோ, நிச்சயமாக அச்சமற்ற இடத்தில்,

பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக (அவர்கள்) அச்சமற்ற, இடத்தில் இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக, பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள் அச்சமற்ற இடத்திலிருப்பார்கள்.

Indeed, the righteous will be in a safe place,

Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin

Among Gardens and Springs,

Within gardens and springs,

அதுவும் சுவனபதி(யின் சோலை)யிலுள்ள ஊற்றுக்களின் சமீபமாக,

சுவனச் சோலைகளிலும், நீர் ஊற்றுகளிலும் (இருப்பார்கள்).

சுவனபதி(யின் சோலை)களிலும், நீர் ஊற்றுக்களிலே (அவற்றினிடையே)யும் (இருப்பார்கள்).

in gardens and springs,

Yalbasoona min sundusin waistabraqin mutaqabileena

Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other,

Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other.

மெல்லியதும் மொத்தமானதும் (ஆக, அவர்கள் விரும்பிய) பட்டாடைகளை அணிந்து, ஒருவரை ஒருவர் முகம் நோக்கி (உட்கார்ந்து உல்லாசமாகப் பேசிக்கொண்டு) இருப்பார்கள்.

ஸுன்துஸ், இஸ்தப்ரக் (ஆகிய அழகிய பட்டாடைகள், பிதாம்பரங்கள்) அணிந்து ஒருவரை ஒருவர் முகம் நோக்கி இருப்பார்கள்.

ஒருவரையொருவர் முன் நோக்கியவர்களாக மெல்லியதும், திடமானதுமான பட்டாடைகளை அணிந்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

wearing fine silk and heavy brocade, facing one another.

Kathalika wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin

So (it will be). And We shall marry them to Hûr (fair females) with wide lovely eyes.

Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.

இவ்வாறே (சந்தேகமின்றி நடைபெறும்). அன்றி, "ஹூருல் ஈன்" (என்னும் கண்ணழகிகளாகிய கன்னிகை)களையும் நாம் அவர்களுக்கு திருமணம் செய்து வைப்போம்.

இவ்வாறே (அங்கு நடைபெறும்); மேலும் அவர்களுக்கு ஹூருல் ஈன்களை நாம் மண முடித்து வைப்போம்.

இவ்வாறே (அது நடைபெறும்), மேலும், “ஹூருல்ஈன்” (என்னும் கண்ணழகிகளாகிய கன்னிகை)களையும் நாம் அவர்களுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்துவைப்போம்.

So it will be, and We will marry them to maidens with gorgeous eyes.

YadAAoona feeha bikulli fakihatin amineena

They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security;

They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure.

அச்சமற்றவர்களாக (அவர்கள் விரும்பிய) கனிவர்க்கங்கள் அனைத்தையும், அங்கு கேட்டு (வாங்கிப் புசித்து) கொண்டும் இருப்பார்கள்.

அச்சமற்றவர்களாக, சகல விதக்கனிவகைகளையும், அங்கு கேட்டு(ப் பெற்றுக்) கொண்டுமிருப்பார்கள்.

அச்சமற்றவர்களாக கனி வர்க்கங்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றையும், அங்கு கேட்டுக் கொண்டும் இருப்பார்கள்.

They will call therein for every kind of fruit, safe and secure.

La yathooqoona feeha almawta illa almawtata aloola wawaqahum AAathaba aljaheemi

They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire,

They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

முந்திய மரணத்தைத் தவிர, அதில் அவர்கள் வேறு யாதொரு மரணத்தையும் அனுபவிக்க மாட்டார்கள். (அதாவது: மரணிக்காது என்றென்றும் வாழ்வார்கள்.) ஆகவே, அவர்களை நரக வேதனையிலிருந்து, (இறைவன்) காப்பாற்றினான்.

முந்திய மரணத்தைத் தவிர, அங்கு மரணத்தை அவர்கள் அனுபவிக்கமாட்டார்கள்; மேலும் (இறைவன்) அவர்களை நரகத்தின் வேதனையை விட்டும் காப்பாற்றிவிட்டான்.

முந்திய மரணத்தைத் தவிர, அவற்றில் அவர்கள் (வேறு யாதொரு) மரணத்தையும் சுவைக்கமாட்டார்கள், மேலும், நரக வேதனையை விட்டும் அவர்களை (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் காத்துக்கொண்டான்.

They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will protect them from the punishment of the Blazing Fire,

Fadlan min rabbika thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu

As a bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success!

As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment.

(நபியே! இது) உங்களது இறைவனின் அருளாகும். இதுதான் மகத்தான பெரும் வெற்றியுமாகும்.

(இதுவே) உம்முடைய இறைவனின் அருள் கொடையும்; இதுவே மிகப் பெரிய வெற்றியுமாகும்.

(நபியே! இது) உமதிரட்சகனின் பேரருளாக (வழங்கப்படுகிறது), அதுதான் மகத்தான வெற்றியாகும்.

as a grace from your Lord. That is the supreme triumph.

Fainnama yassarnahu bilisanika laAAallahum yatathakkaroona

Certainly, We have made this (Qur'ân) easy in your tongue, in order that they may remember.

And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் அறிந்து நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறும் பொருட்டே இவ்வேதத்தை நாம் உங்களுடைய மொழியில் எளிதாக்கி வைத்தோம்.

அவர்கள் (அறிந்து) நல்லுபதேசம் பெறுவதற்காக, இதை நாம் உம்முடைய மொழியில் எளிதாக்கினோம்.

ஆகவே, (வேதமாகிய) இதனை நாம் உம்முடைய மொழியில் எளிதாக்கி வைத்திருப்பதெல்லாம், அவர்கள் நல்லுபதேசம் பெறுவதற்காகத்தான்.

We have made this [Qur’an] easy in your own language, so that they may take heed.

Fairtaqib innahum murtaqiboona

Wait then (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]); verily, they (too) are waiting.

So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end].

(இதனைக் கொண்டு அவர்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறவில்லையெனில், அவர்களுக்கு வரக்கூடிய தீங்கை) நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்திருங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவர்களும் எதிர்பார்த்தே இருப்பார்கள்.

ஆகவே, நீரும் எதிர்பார்ப்பீராக! அவர்களும் எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறார்கள்.  

ஆகவே, (நல்லுபதேசம் பெறாவிடில், அதனால் ஏற்படும் தீயமுடிவை) நீர் எதிர்பார்த்திரும், நிச்சயமாக, அவர்களும் எதிர்ப்பார்க்கக் கூடியவர்கள்தாம்.

Then wait; they too are waiting.
