Hâ. Mîm.[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

Hā Mīm.

Tanzeelu alkitabi mina Allahi alAAazeezi alAAaleemi

The revelation of the Book (this Qur'ân) is from Allâh, the All-Mighty, the All-Knower.

The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

(இது அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும், (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வினால் அருளப்பட்ட வேதம்.

(யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோனும், மிக அறிந்தோனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து இறக்கியருளப்பட்டதே இவ்வேதம்.

(இது யாவரையும்_) மிகைத்தவனாகிய, (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து இறக்கிவைக்கப்பட்ட வேதமாகும்.

The revelation of this Book is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing,

Ghafiri alththanbi waqabili alttawbi shadeedi alAAiqabi thee alttawli la ilaha illa huwa ilayhi almaseeru

The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance, the Severe in punishment, the Bestower (of favours). Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), to Him is the final return.

The forgiver of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, owner of abundance. There is no deity except Him; to Him is the destination.

அவன் (குற்றவாளிகளுடைய) மன்னிப்புக் கோரலை அங்கீகரித்து பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பவன். (மனமுரண்டாக குற்றம் புரியும் பாவிகளை) வேதனை செய்வதிலும் கடினமானவன். (நல்லவர்கள் மீது) அருள் புரிபவன். அவனைத் தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன்) வேறொரு இறைவன் இல்லை. அவனிடம் (அனைவரும் விசாரணைக்காகச்) செல்ல வேண்டியதிருக்கின்றது.

பாவத்தை மன்னிப்பவனும், தவ்பாவை - மன்னிப்புக் கேட்பதை - அங்கீகரிப்பவனும், தண்டிப்பதில் கடுமையானவனும், தயை மிக்கவனும் ஆவான், அவனைத் தவிர நாயன் இல்லை; அவனிடமே (யாவரும்) மீள வேண்டியதிருக்கிறது.

(அவன்) பாவத்தை மன்னிப்பவன், (குற்றவாளிகளுடைய) தவ்பாவை (பாவ மீட்சியை) ஏற்பவன், (குற்றம் புரிந்தோரைத்) தண்டிப்பதில் கடுமையானவன், (நல்லோர் மீது) அருட்கொடைகள் உடையவன் அவனைத் தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை, அவனிடமே திரும்ப வேண்டியதிருக்கின்றது.

the Forgiver of sin and Accepter of repentance, the Severe in punishment and Infinite in bounty. None has the right to be worshiped except Him. To Him is the final return.

Ma yujadilu fee ayati Allahi illa allatheena kafaroo fala yaghrurka taqallubuhum fee albiladi

None disputes in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh but those who disbelieve. So let not their ability of going about here and there through the land (for their purposes) deceive you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], for their ultimate end will be the fire of Hell)!

No one disputes concerning the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so be not deceived by their [uninhibited] movement throughout the land.

(நபியே!) நிராகரிப்பவர்களைத் தவிர (மற்றெவரும்) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பற்றி (வீணாகத்) தர்க்கிக்க மாட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, (நபியே! வீணாகத் தர்க்கிக்கும்) அவர்கள் பல நகரங்களிலும் (ஆடம்பரத்துடன் சுகபோகமாகச்) சுற்றித் திரிவது உங்களை மயக்கிவிட வேண்டாம்.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களைத் தவிர(வேறு எவரும்) அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப் பற்றி தர்க்கம் செய்ய மாட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, பட்டணங்களில் அவர்களுடைய (ஆடம்பர) நடமாட்டம் உம்மை ஏமாற்றி விட வேண்டாம்.

(நபியே!) நிராகரிப்போரைத் தவிர (மற்றெவரும்) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களில் தர்க்கிக்கமாட்டார்கள், ஆகவே, அவர்கள், நகரங்களில் (சுதந்திரமாக) சுற்றித்திரிவது உம்மை ஏமாற்றிவிட வேண்டாம்.

None disputes against the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so do not be deceived by their movements in the land.

Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waalahzabu min baAAdihim wahammat kullu ommatin birasoolihim liyakhuthoohu wajadaloo bialbatili liyudhidoo bihi alhaqqa faakhathtuhum fakayfa kana AAiqabi

The people of Nûh (Noah) and the Confederates after them denied (their Messengers) before these; and every (disbelieving) nation plotted against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed by means of falsehood to refute therewith the truth. So I seized them (with punishment), and how (terrible) was My punishment!

The people of Noah denied before them and the [disbelieving] factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate thereby the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.

(இவ்வாறே) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் நூஹ்வுடைய மக்களும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின் வந்த ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்தினரும் (நம்முடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கித்) தங்களிடம் வந்த தூதர்களிடம் (குற்றம் கண்டு)பிடிக்கவே கருதினார்கள். அன்றி, சத்தியத்தை அழித்து விடுவதற்காகப் பொய்யான விஷயங்களைக் கொண்டு (அவர்களுடன்) தர்க்கித்தார்கள். ஆதலால், அவர்களை நாம் (வேதனையைக் கொண்டு) பிடித்துக் கொண்டோம். ஆகவே, (அவர்களுக்கு) எத்தகைய தண்டனை கிடைத்தது என்பதைக் கவனிப்பீராக!

இவர்களுக்கு முன்னரே நூஹின் சமூகத்தாரும், அவர்களுக்குப் பிந்திய கூட்டங்களும் (நபிமார்களைப்) பொய்ப்பித்தார்கள்; அன்றியும் ஒவ்வொரு சமுதாயமும் தம்மிடம் வந்த தூதரைப் பிடிக்கக் கருதி, உண்மையை அழித்து விடுவதற்காகப் பொய்யைக் கொண்டும் தர்க்கம் செய்தது. ஆனால் நான் அவர்களைப் பிடித்தேன்; (இதற்காக அவர்கள் மீது விதிக்கப் பெற்ற) என் தண்டனை எவ்வாறு இருந்தது?

இவர்களுக்கு முன் நூஹ்வுடைய சமூகத்தாரும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின் (வந்த) பல கூட்டத்தினர்களும் (நம்மால் அனுப்பப்பட்டோரைப்) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள், மேலும், (அவர்களில்) ஒவ்வொரு சமுதாயத்தினரும் தங்களிடம் வந்த தூதர்களை(க் கொலை செய்ய அல்லது சிறை)ப் பிடிக்க நாட்டங்கொண்டார்கள், அன்றியும், அவர்கள் அசத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு_அதன் மூலம் சத்தியத்தை அழித்து விடுவதற்காக (அவர்களுடன்) தர்க்கித்தார்கள். ஆதலால், அவர்களை நான் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன், ஆகவே, என்னுடைய தண்டனை எப்படி இருந்தது?

Before them, the people of Noah rejected and so did [other] parties after them. Every nation plotted against its messenger to seize him, and falsely argued to refute the truth with falsehood, so I seized them. How [horrible] was My punishment!

Wakathalika haqqat kalimatu rabbika AAala allatheena kafaroo annahum ashabu alnnari

Thus has the Word of your Lord been justified against those who disbelieved, that they will be the dwellers of the Fire.

And thus has the word of your Lord come into effect upon those who disbelieved that they are companions of the Fire.

இவ்வாறே இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் மீதும், நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள்தாம் என்ற உங்களது இறைவனின் வாக்கு நிறைவேறியது.

இவ்வாறே, நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக நரகவாசிகள்தாம் என்ற உம்முடைய இறைவனின் வாக்கு அவர்கள் மீது உறுதியாகிவிட்டது.

இவ்வாறே, நிராகரித்தோர் மீது_நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள் என்ற உமதிரட்சகனின் வாக்கும் கடமையாகி (நிறைவேறி) விட்டது.

Thus the decree of your Lord was passed against those who disbelieve, that they will be the people of the Fire.

Allatheena yahmiloona alAAarsha waman hawlahu yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihim wayuminoona bihi wayastaghfiroona lillatheena amanoo rabbana wasiAAta kulla shayin rahmatan waAAilman faighfir lillatheena taboo waittabaAAoo sabeelaka waqihim AAathaba aljaheemi

Those (angels) who bear the Throne (of Allâh) and those around it glorify the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh) (saying): "Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire!

Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.

எவர்கள், "அர்ஷை" சுமந்து கொண்டும், அதனைச் சூழவும் இருக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள், தங்கள் இறைவனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு அவனைத் துதி செய்தும், அவனை நம்பிக்கை கொண்டும், நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களின் குற்றங்களை மன்னிக்கும்படி கோரியும் "எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ ஞானத்தாலும் கருணையாலும் அனைவரையும்விட மிக்க விசாலமானவன். ஆகவே, (பாவங்களை விட்டு) விலகி உன்னுடைய வழியைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களுக்கு நீ மன்னிப்பளித்து, அவர்களை நரக வேதனையில் இருந்து நீ பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்வாயாக!" என்று பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொண்டும்,

அர்ஷை சுமந்து கொண்டிருப்பவர்களும், அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ளவர்களும் தங்கள் இறைவனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு அவனைத் தஸ்பீஹு செய்து கொண்டும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அவன் மேல் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களாக மற்ற ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களுக்காக மன்னிப்புக் கோருகின்றனர்: “எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ ரஹ்மத்தாலும், ஞானத்தாலும், எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் சூழந்து இருக்கிறாய்! எனவே, பாவமீட்சி கோரி, உன் வழியைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களுக்கு, நீ மன்னிப்பளிப்பாயாக. இன்னும் அவர்களை நரக வேதனையிலிருந்தும் காத்தருள்வாயாக!

“அர்ஷை” சுமந்து கொண்டிருப்பவர்களும், அதனைச் சுற்றி இருப்பவர்களும் தங்களிரட்சகனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு (அவனைத்) துதி செய்கிறார்கள், இன்னும், அவனை விசுவாசிக்கிறார்கள், மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டோருக்காக (அவர்களின் குற்றங்களை) மன்னிக்குமாறு (அல்லாஹ்விடம்) கோருகிறார்கள், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நீ (உன்னுடைய) கருணையாலும் அறிவாலும் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் விசாலமாக அறிந்திருக்கின்றாய், ஆகவே, தவ்பா செய்து உன்னுடைய (நேர்) வழியைப் பின்பற்றியோருக்கும், நீ (பாவத்தை) பொறுத்தருள்வாயாக, அவர்களை நரக வேதனையிலிருந்து நீ காத்தருள்வாயாக!

Those [angels] who bear the Throne and those around it glorify their Lord with His praise and believe in Him, and seek forgiveness for those who believe, [saying], “Our Lord, Your mercy and knowledge encompass everything, so forgive those who repent and follow Your way, and protect them from the punishment of the Blazing Fire.

Rabbana waadkhilhum jannati AAadnin allatee waAAadtahum waman salaha min abaihim waazwajihim wathurriyyatihim innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu

"Our Lord! And make them enter the 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens) which you have promised them – and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their offspring! Verily, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

"எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ இவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கும் நிலையான சுவனபதிகளில் இவர்களையும் இவர்களுடைய மூதாதைகள், இவர்களுடைய மனைவிகள், இவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகள் ஆகிய இவர்களில் உள்ள நல்லவர்களையும் புகுத்துவாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீ (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் (அனைத்தையும் அறிந்த) ஞானமுடையவனுமாக இருக்கின்றாய்" என்றும்,

“எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கும், நிலையான சுவர்க்கத்தில், அவர்களையும், அவர்கள் மூதாதையர்களிலும், அவர்கள் மனைவியர்களிலும், அவர்கள் சந்ததியார்களிலும் நன்மை செய்தோரையும் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வாயாக. நிச்சயமாக நீ தான் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்; ஞானம் மிக்கவன்.

“எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நீ அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கும் நிலையான சுவனபதிகளில் அவர்களையும், அவர்களுடைய மூதாதையரிலும், அவர்கள் மனைவியரிலும், அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியினரிலும் (ஈமான் கொண்டு, நற்செயல்புரிந்து) யார் நல்லோராகி விட்டாரோ அவர்களையும் புகுத்துவாயாக! நிச்சயமாக நீயே (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோன், (யாவையும் அறிந்த) தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையோன்.”

Our Lord, admit them to Gardens of Eternity which You have promised them, and the righteous from among their parents, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You Who are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Waqihimu alssayyiati waman taqi alssayyiati yawmaithin faqad rahimtahu wathalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu

"And save them from (the punishment for what they did of) the sins, and whomsoever You save from (the punishment for what he did of) the sins (i.e. pardon him) that Day, him verily, You have taken into mercy." And that is the supreme success.

And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment."

"அவர்களை எல்லா தீங்குகளிலிருந்தும் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள். அன்றைய தினம் எவர்களை நீ எல்லா தீங்குகளிலிருந்தும் பாதுகாத்துக் கொண்டாயோ, அவர்கள் மீது நிச்சயமாக நீ பேரருள் புரிந்துவிட்டாய்" என்று பிரார்த்திப்பார்கள். இதுதான் மிக மகத்தான பெரும் பாக்கியமாகும்.

“இன்னும், அவர்களைத் தீமைகளிலிருந்து காப்பாயாக! அந்நாளில் நீ யாரை தீமைகளிலிருந்து காத்துக் கொள்கிறாயோ, அவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக நீ அருள் புரிந்து விட்டாய் - அதுவே மகத்தான வெற்றியாகும்” (என்றும் கூறுவர்).  

மேலும், “(சகல) தீமைகளிலிருந்தும் (அவற்றின் தண்டனையிலிருந்தும்), அவர்களைக் காப்பாயாக! அன்றைய தினம், எவரை நீ தீமைகளிலிருந்து காத்துக்கொள்கிறாயோ அவர்மீது திட்டமாக, நீ அருள் புரிந்துவிட்டாய், இன்னும், அதுவே மகத்தான வெற்றியாகும்” (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்).

And protect them from the evil consequences [of their sins]. For whoever You protect from the evil consequences on that Day, You have surely bestowed mercy upon him. That is the supreme triumph.”

Inna allatheena kafaroo yunadawna lamaqtu Allahi akbaru min maqtikum anfusakum ith tudAAawna ila aleemani fatakfuroona

Those who disbelieve will be addressed (at the time of entering the Fire): "Allâh's aversion was greater towards you (in the worldly life when you used to reject the Faith) than your aversion towards one another (now in the fire of Hell, as you are now enemies to one another), when you were called to the Faith but you used to refuse."

Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you was [even] greater than your hatred of yourselves [this Day in Hell] when you were invited to faith, but you refused."

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் நிராகரித்து விட்டார்களோ, அவர்களை நோக்கி, "இன்றைய தினம் நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஆத்மாவை (நிந்தித்துக்) கோபிப்பதைவிட, (உங்கள் மீது) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய (நிந்தனையும்) கோபமும் மிகப் பெரியதாகும். ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கையின் பக்கம் அழைக்கப்பட்ட சமயத்தில், அதனை நிராகரித்துவிட்டீர்கள்" என்று அவர்களை நோக்கிச் சப்தமிட்டுக் கூறப்படும்.

நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிப்பவர்களிடம்: “இன்று நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஆன்மாக்களைக் கோபித்துக் கொள்வதைவிட அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கோபம் மிகப் பெரியதாகும்; ஏனென்றால் நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கையின் பால் அழைக்கப்பட்ட போது (அதை) நிராகரித்து விட்டீர்களே” என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்.

நிச்சயமாக நிராகரித்துவிட்டார்களே அவர்கள் _ “உங்களையே நீங்கள் கோபித்துகொள்வதை விட அல்லாஹ்வின் கோபம் (உங்களின் மீது) மிகப்பெரியதாகும், (ஏனென்றால்,) நீங்கள் விசுவாசத்தின்பால் (உலகில்) அழைக்கப்பட்ட சமயத்தில் (அதனை) நிராகரித்துவிட்டீர்கள்” என்றும் (மறுமையில் மலக்குகளால்) _ அழைக்கப்(பட்டு கூறப்)படுவார்கள்.

Those who disbelieve will be addressed, “Allah’s abhorrence of you when you were called to believe but you disbelieved was greater than your abhorrence of yourselves [Today].”

Qaloo rabbana amattana ithnatayni waahyaytana ithnatayni faiAAtarafna bithunoobina fahal ila khuroojin min sabeelin

They will say: "Our Lord! You have made us to die twice (i.e. we were dead in the loins of our fathers and dead after our life in this world), and You have given us life twice (i.e. life when we were born and life when we are resurrected)! Now we confess our sins, then is there any way to get out (of the Fire)?" (See Tafsir Al-Qurtubi)

They will say, "Our Lord, You made us lifeless twice and gave us life twice, and we have confessed our sins. So is there to an exit any way?"

அதற்கவர்கள், "எங்கள் இறைவனே! இருமுறை நீ எங்களை மரணிக்கச் செய்தாய்; இருமுறை நீ எங்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்தாய். நாங்கள் எங்கள் குற்றங்களை ஒப்புக்கொண்டு விண்ணப்பம் செய்கின்றோம். ஆகவே, (இதில் இருந்து நாங்கள்) வெளிப்பட ஏதும் வழி உண்டா?" என்று கேட்பார்கள்.

அதற்கவர்கள்: “எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ எங்களை இருமுறை மரணமடையச் செய்தாய்; இருமுறை நீ எங்களை உயிர்ப்பித்தாய்; ஆகையால் நாங்கள் (இப்பொழுது) எங்கள் பாவங்களை ஒப்புக் கொண்டோம் - எனவே (இதிலிருந்து தப்பி) வெளியேர ஏதும் வழியுண்டா?” எனக் கூறுவர்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! இருமுறை நீ எங்களை மரணமடையச் செய்தாய், இன்னும், இருமுறை நீ எங்களை உயிர்ப்பித்தாய், ஆகவே, எங்களுடைய பாவங்களை நாங்கள் ஒப்புக்கொண்டோம், எனவே, (இதிலிருந்து நாங்கள் தப்பித்து) வெளியேறுவதற்கு ஏதும் வழி உண்டா?” என்று அவர்கள் கேட்பார்கள்.

They will say, “Our Lord, You have caused us to die twice and brought us to life twice. Now we acknowledge our sins; is there any way out?”

Thalikum biannahu itha duAAiya Allahu wahdahu kafartum wain yushrak bihi tuminoo faalhukmu lillahi alAAaliyyi alkabeeri

(It will be said): "This is because, when Allâh Alone was invoked (in worship), you disbelieved (denied); but when partners were joined to Him, you believed! So the judgement is only with Allâh, the Most High, the Most Great!"

[They will be told], "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allah, the Most High, the Grand."

(அதற்கு இறைவன்,) "உங்களுக்கு இ(த்தண்டனை வந்த)தன் காரணமாவது: அல்லாஹ் ஒருவன்தான் என்று கூறினால், அதனை நீங்கள் மறுத்தீர்கள். அவனுக்கு எவரும் இணை உண்டு என்று கூறினால், அதனை நீங்கள் நம்பினீர்கள்! ஆதலால், (இன்றைய தினம் உங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்திருக்கும் இவ்வேதனை) மிகப் பெரியவனும், மேலானவனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தீர்ப்பே!" (என்று கூறுவான்).

(பதில் கூறப்படும்:) “அதற்குக் காரணம் அல்லாஹ் ஒருவனே (வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன்; எனவே அவனை வணங்குங்கள்) என்று அழைக்கப்பட்ட போது நீங்கள் நிராகரித்தீர்கள்; ஆனால், அவனுக்கு (எதையும்) இணையாக்கப்பட்டால் (அதன் மீது) நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டீர்கள்; ஆகவே இத்தீர்ப்பு மிக்க மேலானவனும், மகாப் பெரியவனுமான அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது.”

இ(த்தண்டனையான)து_ நிச்சயமாக அதன் காரணம்: அல்லாஹ், அவன் தனித்தவனாக அழைக்கப்பட்டால் நீங்கள் நிராகரித்தீர்கள், மேலும், அவனுக்கு (உங்கள் தெய்வங்கள்) இணையாக்கப்பட்டால் (அதை) விசுவாசித்தீர்கள், இப்பொழுது தீர்ப்பு (வழங்குவது) மிக்க உயர்வானவனாகிய மிகப் பெரியவனான அல்லாஹ்விற்கு (மட்டும்) உரியதாகும் (என்று கூறப்படும்).

[They will be told], “This is because when Allah was invoked alone, you disbelieved, but when others were associated with Him, you believed. The judgment belongs to Allah, the Most High, the All-Great.”

Huwa allathee yureekum ayatihi wayunazzilu lakum mina alssamai rizqan wama yatathakkaru illa man yuneebu

It is He Who shows you His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and sends down (rain with which grows) provision for you from the sky. And none remembers but those who turn (to Allâh in obedience and) in repentance (by begging His Pardon and by worshipping and obeying Him Alone and none else).

It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance].

அவன் தன்னுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்து, வானத்தில் இருந்து உங்களுக்கு உணவுகளையும் இறக்கி வைக்கின்றான். (ஒவ்வொரு விஷயத்திலும்) அவனையே நோக்குபவர்களைத் தவிர, மற்றெவரும் (இதனைக் கொண்டு) நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெற மாட்டார்கள்.

அவனே தன் அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கிறான்; உங்களுக்கு வானத்திலிருந்து உணவையும் இறக்கிவைக்கிறான் - எனவே அவனையே முன்னோக்கி நிற்பவர்களைத் தவிர (வேறு யாரும்) நல்லுணர்வு பெறமாட்டார்கள்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், தன்னுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களுக்கு அவன் காண்பிக்கிறான், மேலும், வானத்திலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு உணவை இறக்கிவைக்கிறான், (ஒவ்வொரு விஷயத்திலும் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அவன் பக்கம்) திரும்புபவர்களைத் தவிர, (வேறெவரும் இதனைக் கொண்டு) நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறவுமாட்டார்கள்.

It is He Who shows you His signs and sends down for you provision from the sky, but none will take heed except those who turn to Him.

FaodAAoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena walaw kariha alkafiroona

So, call you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] and the believers) upon (or invoke) Allâh making (your) worship pure for Him (Alone) (by worshipping none but Him and by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allâh's sake only and not to show off and not to set up rivals with Him in worship), however much the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allâh) may hate (it).

So invoke Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it.

ஆகவே, (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் வெறுத்தபோதிலும் நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் அவனுக்கே வழிப்பட்டு, கலப்பற்ற மனதுடையவர்களாக அல்லாஹ் ஒருவனையே (பிரார்த்தனை செய்து) அழைத்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள்.

ஆகவே, காஃபிர்கள் வெறுத்த போதிலும், நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் அவனுக்கே வழிபட்டு மார்க்கத்தில் பரிசுத்தத்துடன் அல்லாஹ் ஒருவனையே (பிரார்த்தித்து) அழையுங்கள்.

ஆகவே, நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்போர் வெறுத்தபோதிலும், நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை_ முற்றிலும் வணக்கத்தை அவனுக்கே கலப்பற்றவர்களாக்கி வைக்கிறவர்களாக (பிரார்த்தித்து) அழையுங்கள்.

So call upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even if the disbelievers may dislike it.

RafeeAAu alddarajati thoo alAAarshi yulqee alrrooha min amrihi AAala man yashao min AAibadihi liyunthira yawma alttalaqi

(He is Allâh) Owner of High Ranks and Degrees, the Owner of the Throne. He sends the Revelation by His Command to any of His slaves He wills, that he (the person who receives Revelation) may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

[He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting.

அவன் மிக்க உயர்ந்த பதவிகள் உடையவன். அர்ஷுக்கும் சொந்தக்காரன். (தன்னைச்) சந்திக்கும் நாளைப் பற்றி அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதற்காக, தன் அடியார்களில் தான் விரும்பிய வர்களின் மீது தன் கட்டளையை வஹ்யி மூலம் இறக்கி வைக்கின்றான்.

(அவனே) அந்தஸ்துகளை உயர்த்துபவன்; அர்ஷுக்குரியவன்; சந்திப்புக்குரிய (இறுதி) நாளைப்பற்றி அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதற்காக தன் அடியார்களில் தான் நாடியவர்கள் மீது தன் கட்டளையை வஹீ மூலம் இறக்கி வைக்கிறான்.

(அவன்) பதவிகளை உயர்த்துபவன், அர்ஷூடையவன், (தன்னைச்) சந்திக்கும் நாளை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதற்காக தன் அடியார்களில், தான் நாடியவர்களின் மீது தன் கட்டளையின்படி வஹீயை இறக்கிவைக்கின்றான்.

He is Exalted in Rank, Lord of the Throne. He sends down the revelation by His command to whom He wills of His slaves, in order to warn of the Day of Meeting,

Yawma hum barizoona la yakhfa AAala Allahi minhum shayon limani almulku alyawma lillahi alwahidi alqahhari

The Day when they will (all) come out, nothing of them will be hidden from Allâh. Whose is the kingdom this Day? (Allâh Himself will reply to His Question:) It is Allâh's, – the One, the Irresistible!

The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Prevailing.

(மரணித்த) அவர்கள் அந்நாளில் (சமாதிகளிலிருந்து) வெளிப்பட்டு(த் தங்கள் இறைவனின்) முன் வந்து நிற்பார்கள். அவர்கள் செய்த யாதொரு விஷயமும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மறைந்து விடாது. (அவர்களை நோக்கி,) இன்றைய தினம், "எவருடைய ஆட்சி? (என்று கேட்டு அனைவரையும்) அடக்கி ஆளும் ஒருவனாகிய அந்த அல்லாஹ்வுக்குரியதே!" (என்றும் பதில் கூறப்படும்).

அந்நாளில் அவர்கள் வெளிப்பட்டு வருவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய எந்த விஷயமும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மறைந்ததாக இருக்காது; அந்நாளில் ஆட்சி யாருக்குடையதாக இருக்கும் - ஏகனாகிய, அடக்கியாளும் வல்லமை மிக்க அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே யாகும்.

(மரணித்த) அவர்கள் (மண்ணறைகளிலிருந்து) வெளிப்பட்டவர்களாக வரும் நாளில், அவர்களிலிருந்து எப்பொருளும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மறைந்ததாக இருக்காது, “ஆட்சி, இன்று யாருக்குரியது?” (என்று கேட்டுவிட்டு, அதற்கு விடையாக, “யாவரையும்) அடக்கியாளும் ஏகனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது” (என்று அவன் கூறுவான்).

the Day when they will be brought forth, nothing about them will be hidden from Allah. [He will say], “To whom does the dominion belong this Day? To Allah, the One, the Subjugator!

Alyawma tujza kullu nafsin bima kasabat la thulma alyawma inna Allaha sareeAAu alhisabi

This Day shall every person be recompensed for what he earned. This Day no injustice (shall be done to anybody). Truly, Allâh is Swift in reckoning.

This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account.

இன்றைய தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆத்மாவுக்கும், அவைகள் செய்த செயல்களுக்குத் தக்க கூலி கொடுக்கப்படும். இன்றைய தினம் யாதொரு அநியாயமும் நடைபெறாது. அல்லாஹ் கேள்வி கணக்குக் கேட்(டுத் தீர்ப்பளிப்)பதில் மிகத் தீவிரமானவன்.

அந்நாளில் ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும், அது சம்பாதித்ததற்குக் கூலி கொடுக்கப்படும்; அந்நாளில் எந்த அநியாயமும் இல்லை. நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் கேள்வி கணக்குக் கேட்பதில் மிகவும் தீவிரமானவன்.

“இன்றையத்தினம் ஒவ்வோர் ஆத்மாவும், அது சம்பாதித்தது கொண்டு கூலி கொடுக்கப்படும். இன்றையத் தினம் (எவ்வித) அநியாயமும் இல்லை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (கேள்வி) கணக்குக் கேட்பதில் மிகத் தீவிரமானவன்” (என்றும் கூறப்படும்).

Today every soul will be recompensed for what it has earned; no injustice Today! Allah is swift in reckoning.”

Waanthirhum yawma alazifati ithi alquloobu lada alhanajiri kathimeena ma lilththalimeena min hameemin wala shafeeAAin yutaAAu

And warn them (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) of the Day that is drawing near (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), when the hearts will be choking the throats, and they can neither return them (hearts) to their chests nor can they throw them out. There will be no friend, nor an intercessor for the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers), who could be given heed to.

And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.

(நபியே!) சமீபத்திலிருக்கும் (மறுமை) நாளைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யும் (அந்நாளில் அவர்களுடைய) உள்ளங்கள் கோபத்தால் அவர்களின் தொண்டைகளை அடைத்துக்கொள்ளும். அநியாயம் செய்பவர் களுக்கு உதவி செய்பவர்கள் (அந்நாளில்) ஒருவரும் இருக்க மாட்டார். அனுமதி பெற்ற சிபாரிசு செய்பவர்களும் இருக்க மாட்டார்.

(நபியே!) அண்மையில் வரும் (கியாம) நாளைப்பற்றி அவர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வீராக; இருதயங்கள் விசனத்தால் நிரம்பி தொண்டைக்குழிகளுக்கு வரும் (அவ்)வேளையில், அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு இரக்கப்படும் நண்பனோ, அல்லது ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படும் சிபாரிசு செய்பவனோ இருக்கமாட்டான்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) சமீபித்து வரும் (மறுமை) நாளைப் பற்றி நீர் அவர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வீராக! அழுதவர்களாக, இதயங்கள் தொண்டைக்குழிகளை அடைந்துவிடும் சமயத்தில் (_அந்நாளில்) அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு (இரக்கப்படும்) நண்பனோ, (அல்லாஹ்விடம்) அங்கீகரிக்கப்படும் பரிந்துரை செய்பவனோ இருக்கமாட்டான்.

Warn them of the approaching Day, when hearts will be at the throats, full of distress. The wrongdoers will have no close friend or intercessor whose word may be heeded.

YaAAlamu khainata alaAAyuni wama tukhfee alssudooru

Allâh knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the breasts conceal.

He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the breasts conceal.

(மனிதர்களின்) கண்கள் செய்யும் சூதுகளையும், உள்ளங்களில் மறைந்து இருப்பவைகளையும் இறைவன் நன்கறிவான்.

கண்கள் செய்யும் மோசத்தையும், உள்ளங்கள் மறைத்து வைப்பதையும் அவன் நன்கு அறிகிறான்.

(மனிதர்களின்) கண்களின் மோசடியையும், நெஞ்சங்கள் மறைத்து வைத்திருப்பதையும் அவன் நன்கறிவான்.

He knows the sneaky glances of the eyes and what the hearts conceal.

WaAllahu yaqdee bialhaqqi waallatheena yadAAoona min doonihi la yaqdoona bishayin inna Allaha huwa alssameeAAu albaseeru

And Allâh judges with truth, while those to whom they invoke besides Him, cannot judge anything. Certainly, Allâh! He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

And Allah judges with truth, while those they invoke besides Him judge not with anything. Indeed, Allah - He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

ஆதலால், முற்றிலும் நீதமாகவே அல்லாஹ் தீர்ப்பளிப்பான். இவர்கள் (இறைவனென) அழைக்கும் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவைகளோ (அதற்கு மாறாக) எத்தகைய தீர்ப்பும் கூறமுடியாது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) செவியுறுபவனும் உற்று நோக்குபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உண்மையைக் கொண்டே தீர்ப்பளிப்பவன். அன்றியும், அவனையன்றி அவர்கள் (வேறு) எவர்களை அழைத்(துப் பிரார்த்தித்)தார்களோ, அவர்கள் யாதொரு விஷயத்தைப் பற்றியும் தீர்ப்புச் செய்ய மாட்டார்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்பவனாகவும், தீர்க்கமாகப் பார்ப்பவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.  

மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உண்மையைக் கொண்டு (நீதமாகவே) தீர்ப்பளிப்பான், அவனையன்றி அவர்கள் அழைக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர் _ (இவர்களுக்காக) எந்த ஒன்றையும் _ அவர்கள் தீர்ப்புச் செய்யமாட்டார்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், அவனே (யாவையும்) செவியேற்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

Allah judges with justice, whereas those whom they invoke besides Him cannot judge at all. Indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

Awa lam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena kanoo min qablihim kanoo hum ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharan fee alardi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim wama kana lahum mina Allahi min waqin

Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those who were before them? They were superior to them in strength, and in the traces (which they left) in the land. But Allâh seized them with punishment for their sins. And none had they to protect them from Allâh.

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector.

(நபியே!) இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரியவில்லையா? (திரிந்திருந்தால்) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எவ்வாறு ஆயிற்று என்பதைக் கண்டுகொள்வார்கள். (முன்னிருந்த) அவர்களோ, பலத்தாலும், பூமியில் விட்டுச் சென்ற (பூர்வ) சின்னங்களாலும் இவர்களைவிட மிகைத்தவர்களாகவே இருந்தனர். (எனினும்,) அவர்களின் பாவத்தின் காரணமாக அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான். அல்லாஹ்வின் பிடியிலிருந்து அவர்களை பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ள ஒருவரும் இருக்கவில்லை.

இவர்கள் பூமியில் பிரயாணம் செய்து இவர்களுக்கு முன் இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படியிருந்தது என்பதைப் பார்க்க வில்லையா? அவர்கள், பலத்தாலும், பூமியில் (விட்டுச் சென்ற பூர்வ)சின்னங்களாலும் இவர்களைவிட வலிமையுடையவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள் - ஆனால் அவர்களின் பாவங்களின் காரணமாக அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் பிடித்துக் கொண்டான்; இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்ற எவரும் இல்லை.

(நபியே!) இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரிந்து) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படி இருந்தது என்பதை அவர்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? (முன்னிருந்த) அவர்களோ, பலத்தாலும், பூமியில் விட்டுச்சென்ற (பூர்வ) அடையாளங்களாலும் இவர்களை விட மிகக் கடினமானவர்களாகவே இருந்தனர். அப்போது, அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் பிடித்துக் கொண்டான், அல்லாஹ்வி(ன் பிடியி)லிருந்து அவர்களைக் காப்பவர் எவரும் இருக்கவில்லை.

Have they not traveled in the land to see what was the end of those who came before them? They were far superior in strength and left a more impressive marks in the land, but Allah seized them for their sins, and they had none to protect them from Allah.

Thalika biannahum kanat tateehim rusuluhum bialbayyinati fakafaroo faakhathahumu Allahu innahu qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqabi

That was because there came to them their Messengers with clear evidences (proofs and signs) but they disbelieved (in them). So Allâh seized them (with punishment). Verily, He is All-Strong, Severe in punishment.

That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment.

இதன் காரணமாவது: நிச்சயமாக இவர்களிடம், தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் நம்முடைய தூதர்கள் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். (அவர்களை) இவர்கள் நிராகரித்துவிட்டனர். ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டான். நிச்சயமாக அவன் மிக பலமுடையவனும், (பாவிகளை) வேதனை செய்வதில் மிக கடினமானவனுமாவான்.

அது (ஏனெனில்): நிச்சயமாக அவர்களிடம் அவர்களின் தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் வந்தார்கள்; ஆனால், அவர்கள் நிராகரித்தனர். ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பிடித்தான் - நிச்சயமாக (அல்லாஹ்) வலிமை மிக்கவன்; தண்டிப்பதில் கடுமையானவன்.

அது (ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக (அத்தாட்சிகளில்) தெளிவானவற்றுடன் அவர்களுடைய தூதர்கள் அவர்களிடம் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். ஆனால், (அவர்களை) இவர்கள் நிராகரித்துவிட்டனர் என்ற காரணத்தினாலாகும். ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான், நிச்சயமாக, அவன் மிக்க பலமுடையவன், (குற்றவாளிகளைத்) தண்டிப்பதில் மிகக் கடுமையானவன்.

That was because their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved; so Allah seized them. He is indeed All-Powerful, Severe in punishment.

Walaqad arsalna moosa biayatina wasultanin mubeenin

And indeed We sent Mûsâ (Moses) with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and a manifest authority,

And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority

மெய்யாகவே நாம் மூஸாவுக்கு நம்முடைய வசனங்களையும் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளையும் கொடுத்து அனுப்பி வைத்தோம்.

மெய்யாகவே நாம் மூஸாவுக்கு நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளையும், தெளிவான சான்றையும் கொடுத்தனுப்பினோம்-

மேலும், திட்டமாக நாம், மூஸாவை நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டும், தெளிவான சான்றைக் கொண்டும் அனுப்பிவைத்தோம்.

We sent Moses with Our signs and compelling proof

Ila firAAawna wahamana waqaroona faqaloo sahirun kaththabun

To Fir'aun (Pharaoh), Hâmân and Qârûn (Korah), but they called (him): "A sorcerer, a liar!"

To Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun; but they said, "[He is] a magician and a liar."

ஃபிர்அவ்ன், ஹாமான், காரூன் ஆகியவர்களிடம் (அவரை அனுப்பி வைத்தோம்.) அதற்கவர்கள் (மூஸாவைப்) "பெரும் பொய் சொல்லும் சூனியக்காரன்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

ஃபிர்அவ்ன், ஹாமான், காரூன் ஆகியவர்களிடம்; ஆனால் அவர்களோ: “(இவர்) பொய்யுரைப்பவர், சூனியக்காரர்” என்று கூறினர்.

ஃபிர் அவ்ன், ஹாமான், காரூன் ஆகியவர்களின்பால் (அவரை அனுப்பி வைத்தோம்). அப்பொழுது அவர்களோ (அவரைச்) சூனியக்காரர், பெரும் பொய்யர் என்று கூறினார்கள்.

to Pharaoh, Hāmān and Korah, but they said, “A magician! An utter liar!”

Falamma jaahum bialhaqqi min AAindina qaloo oqtuloo abnaa allatheena amanoo maAAahu waistahyoo nisaahum wama kaydu alkafireena illa fee dalalin

Then, when he brought them the Truth from Us, they said: "Kill with him the sons of those who believe and let their women live;" but the plots of disbelievers are nothing but in vain!

And when he brought them the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who have believed with him and keep their women alive." But the plan of the disbelievers is not except in error.

அவர், அவர்களிடம் நம்முடைய உண்மையான அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டு சென்ற போதெல்லாம் அதற்கவர்கள், "எவர்கள் (மூஸாவை) நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய ஆண் மக்களை வதை செய்து, பெண் மக்களை உயிருடன் வாழ விடுங்கள்" என்று (தன் மக்களுக்குக்) கூறினார்கள். ஆகவே, இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்களின் சூழ்ச்சி வழிகேட்டிலன்றி செல்லவில்லை.

ஆகவே, அவர் நம்மிடமிருந்து சத்தியத்தை அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்த போது, அவர்கள்: “இவருடன் ஈமான் கொண்டிருப்போரின் ஆண் குழந்தைகளை கொன்று, அவர்களின் பெண் குழந்தைகளை உயிருடன் விட்டு விடுங்கள்” என்று கூறினார்கள்; மேலும் காஃபிர்களின் சதி வழிகேட்டிலன்றி வேறில்லை.

ஆகவே அவர், நம்மிடமிருந்து சத்தியத்தை அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்தபோது, அவர்கள், (மூஸாவாகிய) “அவருடன் விசுவாசங் கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்களே, அவர்களுடைய ஆண் மக்களைக் கொன்றுவிடுங்கள், இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய பெண் மக்களை உயிருடன் வாழ (விட்டு) விடுங்கள்” என்று கூறினார்கள். மேலும், நிராகரிப்போரின் சூழ்ச்சி வழிகேட்டிலேயே தவிர இல்லை.

When he came to them with the truth from Us, they said, “Kill the sons of those who believe with him and keep their women alive.” However, the plots of the disbelievers are always bound to fail.

Waqala firAAawnu tharoonee aqtul moosa walyadAAu rabbahu innee akhafu an yubaddila deenakum aw an yuthhira fee alardi alfasada

Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Leave me to kill Mûsâ (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)! I fear that he may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief to appear in the land!"

And Pharaoh said, "Let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord. Indeed, I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land."

அன்றி, ஃபிர்அவ்ன் (தன் மக்களை நோக்கி,) "என்னை(த் தடை செய்யாது) விட்டுவிடுங்கள். நான் மூஸாவைக் கொலை செய்து விடுகிறேன். அவர் (தன்னை காத்துக்கொள்ள) தன் இறைவனை அழைக்கட்டும். நிச்சயமாக அவர் உங்களுடைய மார்க்கத்தையே மாற்றி விடக்கூடும்; அல்லது பூமியில் விஷமத்தைப் பரப்பிவிடக்கூடும் என்று நான் பயப்படுகிறேன்" என்றும் கூறினான்.

மேலும் ஃபிர்அவ்ன் கூறினான்: “மூஸாவை கொலை செய்ய என்னை விட்டு விடுங்கள்! இன்னும் இவர் தம்முடைய இறைவனை அழை(த்துப் பிரார்த்தி)க்கட்டும்; நிச்சயமாக இவர் உங்கள் மார்க்கத்தை மாற்றிவிடுவார்; அல்லது இப்பூமியில் குழப்பத்தை வெளியாக்குவார் என்று நான் அஞ்சுகிறேன்” என்று.

ஃபிர் அவ்ன் (தன் ஜனங்களிடம்) “என்னை விட்டுவிடுங்கள், மூஸாவை நான் கொலை செய்துவிடுவேன், மேலும், அவர் (தன்னைக்காத்துக்கொள்ள) தன் இரட்சகனை அழைக்கட்டும், அவர் உங்களுடைய மார்க்கத்தை மாற்றிவிடுவார், அல்லது, பூமியில் குழப்பத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவார் என்று நிச்சயமாக, நான் பயப்படுகிறேன்” என்றும் கூறினான்.

Pharaoh said, “Let me kill Moses, and let him call upon his Lord! For I fear that he may change your religion or spread corruption in the land.”

Waqala moosa innee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum min kulli mutakabbirin la yuminu biyawmi alhisabi

Mûsâ (Moses) said: "Verily, I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant who believes not in the Day of Reckoning!"

But Moses said, "Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account."

அதற்கு மூஸா, (அவனை நோக்கி) "கேள்வி கணக்கு(க் கேட்கப்படும்) நாளை நம்பாது, கர்வம்கொண்ட (உங்கள்) அனைவருடைய தீங்கை விட்டும், என் இறைவனும், உங்கள் இறைவனுமாகிய அவன் என்னை பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளுமாறு கோருகின்றேன்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

மூஸா கூறினார்: “கேள்வி கணக்குக் கேட்கப்படும் நாள் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாத, பெருமையடிக்கும் எல்லோரையும் விட்டு, என்னுடைய இறைவனாகவும், உங்களுடைய இறைவனாகவும் இருப்பவனிடம் நிச்சயமாக நான் பாதுகாவல் தேடுகிறேன்.”  

அதற்கு மூஸா (அவனிடம், “கேள்வி) கணக்கு(க் கேட்கப்படும்) நாளை நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாத கர்வங்கொண்ட (தீயவர்களாகிய உங்கள்) ஒவ்வொருவரையும் விட்டு, என் இரட்சகனும் உங்கள் இரட்சகனுமாகிய அவனிடமே நிச்சயமாக நான் பாதுகாவல் தேடுகிறேன்” என்று கூறினார்.

Moses said, “I seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant person who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.”

Waqala rajulun muminun min ali firAAawna yaktumu eemanahu ataqtuloona rajulan an yaqoola rabbiyya Allahu waqad jaakum bialbayyinati min rabbikum wain yaku kathiban faAAalayhi kathibuhu wain yaku sadiqan yusibkum baAAdu allathee yaAAidukum inna Allaha la yahdee man huwa musrifun kaththabun

And a believing man of Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) Family, who hid his Faith said: "Would you kill a man because he says: 'My Lord is Allâh,' and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord? And if he is a liar, upon him will be (the sin of) his lie; but if he is telling the truth, then some of that (calamity) wherewith he threatens you will befall on you." Verily, Allâh guides not one who is a Musrif (a polytheist, or a murderer who shed blood without a right, or those who commit great sins, oppressor, transgressor), a liar!

And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Do you kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is Allah' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then upon him is [the consequence of] his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of what he promises you. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar.

ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய கூட்டத்திலுள்ள ஒரு மனிதர் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு இருந்தார். அவர் தன்னுடைய நம்பிக்கையை மறைத்துக் கொண்டுமிருந்தார். அவர் (அச்சமயம் அவர்களை நோக்கி,) "அல்லாஹ்தான் என்னுடைய இறைவன் என்று ஒரு மனிதர் கூறியதற்காக அவரை நீங்கள் கொலை செய்துவிடலாமா? அவரோ, உங்கள் இறைவனிடமிருந்து பல தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளை மெய்யாகவே உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றார். அவர் பொய் சொல்பவராயிருந்தால், அவர் சொல்லும் பொய்யின் கேடு அவர் மீதே சாரும். (அதனால் உங்களுக்கு ஒன்றும் நஷ்டமில்லை.) அவர் சொல்வது மெய்யாயிருந்து விட்டாலோ, அவர் பயமுறுத்தும் வேதனைகளில் பல உங்களை வந்தடைந்து விடுமே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வரம்பு மீறி பொய் சொல்பவர்களை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்த மாட்டான்" என்றார்.

ஃபிர்அவ்னின் குடும்பத்தாரில் தம் ஈமானை மறைத்து வைத்திருந்த ஒரு நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர் கூறினார்: “என் இறைவன் அல்லாஹ்வே தான்!” என்று ஒரு மனிதர் கூறுவதற்காக அவரை நீங்கள் கொன்று விடுவீர்களா? மேலும் அவர் மெய்யாகவே உங்கள் இறைவனிடமிருந்து தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்துள்ளார். எனவே அவர் பொய்யராக இருந்தால், அப்பொய் அவருக்கே (கேடு) ஆகும்; ஆனால் அவர் உண்மையாளராக இருந்தால், அவர் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கும் சில (வேதனைகள்) உங்களை வந்தடையுமே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வரம்பு மீறிய பொய்யரை நேர்வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்.”

மேலும், “ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய குடும்பத்தினரில் தன் ஈமானை மறைத்து வைத்திருந்த விசுவாசியான ஒரு மனிதர், (அச்சமயம் அவர்களிடம்,) ஒரு மனிதரை_அவர் அல்லாஹ்தான் என்னுடைய இரட்சகன் என்று கூறியதற்காக, நீங்கள் கொலை செய்துவிடுவீர்களா? அவரோ உங்கள் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைத் திட்டமாக உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றார், அவர் பொய்யராக இருந்தால், அவருடைய பொய் அவரின் மீதே (கேடாக) ஆகும், (ஆனால், வேதனை வருமென்பதில்) அவர் உண்மையாளராகவும் இருந்து விட்டால், அவர் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களிப்பவற்றில் சில உங்களை வந்தடைந்துவிடும். யார் வரம்பு மீறுகிறவரோ, பெரும் பொய்யரோ அவரை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், நேர் வழியில் செலுத்தமாட்டான்” என்று கூறினார்.

A believing man from the house of Pharaoh, who was concealing his faith, said, “Would you kill a man simply because he says: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ even though he has come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, he will suffer the consequences of his lie, but if he is truthful, some of what he is threatening you with will befall you. Surely Allah does not guide anyone who is a transgressor and an utter liar.

Ya qawmi lakumu almulku alyawma thahireena fee alardi faman yansuruna min basi Allahi in jaana qala firAAawnu ma oreekum illa ma ara wama ahdeekum illa sabeela alrrashadi

"O my people! Yours is the kingdom today, you being dominant in the land. But who will save us from the torment of Allâh, should it befall us?" Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "I show you only that which I see (correct), and I guide you only to the path of right policy!"

O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [your being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allah if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see, and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct."

(அன்றி) "என்னுடைய மக்களே! இன்றைய தினம் அதிகாரம் உங்கள் கையில்தான் இருக்கின்றது. இத்தேசத்தில் (நீங்களே) ஆதிக்கம் வகிக்கின்றீர்கள். ஆயினும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதனை நமக்கு வந்துவிட்டால், (அதனைத் தடுத்து) நமக்கு உதவி செய்பவன் யார்?" (என்றும் கூறினார்.) அதற்கு, ஃபிர்அவ்ன் (தன் மக்களை நோக்கி,) "நான் (சரி என்று) கண்டவைகளை தவிர (வேறொன் றையும்) நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவில்லை. நேரான வழியைத் தவிர மற்றெதனையும் நான் உங்களுக்கு காண்பிக்கவில்லை" என்றும் கூறினான்.

“என்னுடைய சமூகத்தார்களே! இன்று ஆட்சி உங்களிடம்தான் இருக்கிறது; நீங்கள் தாம் (எகிப்து) பூமியில் மிகைத்தவர்களாகவும் இருக்கின்றீர்கள்; ஆயினும் அல்லாஹ்வின் தண்டனை நமக்கு வந்து விட்டால், நமக்கு உதவி செய்பவர் யார்?” என்றும் கூறினார்;) அதற்கு: “நான் (உண்மை எனக்) காண்பதையே உங்களுக்கு நான் காண்பிக்கிறேன்; நேரான பாதையல்லாது (வேறு) எதையும் நான் உங்களுக்கு காண்பிக்கவில்லை” என ஃபிர்அவ்ன் கூறினான்.

“என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இந்த பூமியில் (நீங்களே) மிகைத்தவர்களாக இருக்க இன்றையத்தினம் ஆட்சி உங்களிடம்தான் இருக்கின்றது. ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதனையிலிருந்து _ அது நமக்கு வந்துவிட்டால், (அதனைத் தடுத்து) நமக்கு உதவி செய்பவன் யார்?” (என்றும் கூறினார், அதற்கு) ஃபிர் அவ்ன் (தன் சமூகத்தாரிடம்,) “நான் (சரி என்று) கண்டதைத் தவிர (வேறொன்றையும்) நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவில்லை, நேரான வழியையே தவிர (மற்றெதனையும்) உங்களுக்கு நான் காட்டவில்லை” என்று கூறினான்.

O my people, the authority is yours today, being dominant in the land. But who would help us against Allah’s punishment, if it came upon us?” Pharaoh said, “I am only telling you what I think is right, and I am only guiding you to the right way.”

Waqala allathee amana ya qawmi innee akhafu AAalaykum mithla yawmi alahzabi

And he who believed said: "O my people! Verily, I fear for you a fate like that day (of disaster) of the Confederates (of old)!

And he who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the companies -

அதற்கு, நம்பிக்கைகொண்(டு தன்னுடைய நம்பிக்கையை மறைத்துக் கொண்)டிருந்த அவர் (அவர்களை நோக்கி,) "என்னுடைய மக்களே! (அழிந்துபோன) மற்ற கூட்டத்தினர்களின் (கெட்ட) நாள்களைப் போன்றவை, உங்கள் மீது வந்துவிடுமென்று நிச்சயமாக நான் பயப்படுகின்றேன்.

நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருந்த அவர் இன்னும் கூறினார்: “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! (அழிந்து போன மற்ற) கூட்டத்தினர்களின் நாட்களைப் போன்றவை உங்கள் மீது வந்து விடுமே என்று நான் நிச்சயமாக பயப்படுகிறேன்.”

மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டிருந்தாரே அவர்_ “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! (அழிந்து போன மற்ற) கூட்டத்தினர்களின் (கெட்ட) நாள் போன்றது உங்கள் மீதும் (வந்துவிடுமென்று) நிச்சயமாக நான் பயப்படுகின்றேன்” என்று கூறினார்.

The man who believed said, “O my people, I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the parties,

Mithla dabi qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waallatheena min baAAdihim wama Allahu yureedu thulman lilAAibadi

"Like the fate of the people of Nûh (Noah), and 'آd, and Thamûd and those who came after them. And Allâh wills no injustice for (His) slaves.

Like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants.

(இதற்கு முன்னிருந்த) நூஹ்வுடைய மக்களுக்கும், ஆதுடைய மக்களுக்கும், ஸமூதுடைய மக்களுக்கும், அதற்குப் பின் வந்த மக்களுக்கும் நிகழ்ந்தது போன்ற (ஆபத்)து (உங்களுக்கும்) நிகழ்ந்து விடுமென்று நான் பயப்படுகின்றேன். அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களுக்கு அநியாயம் செய்ய விரும்பமாட்டான்" என்றும்,

“நூஹுடைய சமூகத்திற்கும், இன்னும் “ஆது”, “ஸமூது”டைய சமூகத்திற்கும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் உண்டான நிலையைப் போன்று (உங்களுக்கு நிகழ்ந்து விடுமோ எனப் பயப்படுகிறேன்); ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் (தன்) அடியார்களுக்கு அநியாயம் செய்ய நாடமாட்டான் (என்றும்).

“(இதற்கு முன்னிருந்த) நூஹ்வுடைய சமூகத்தார், ஆது, ஸமூது, இன்னும் அவர்களுக்குப் பின் வந்தவர்கள் நிலைமை போன்ற (ஆபத்)து (உங்களுக்கும் வந்துவிடுமென்று நான் பயப்படுகிறேன்), மேலும், அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களுக்கு அநியாயத்தை நாடமாட்டான் (என்று கூறினார்).

like the fate of the people of Noah, ‘Ād and Thamūd, and those who came after them. And Allah does not want injustice to [His] slaves.

Waya qawmi innee akhafu AAalaykum yawma alttanadi

"And, O my people! Verily, I fear for you the Day when there will be mutual calling (between the people of Hell and of Paradise)."

And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling -

"என்னுடைய மக்களே! உங்களை(க் கூலி கொடுக்க) அழைக்கப்படும் (மறுமை) நாளைப் பற்றியும் நான் பயப்படுகின்றேன்.

“என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! உங்கள் மீது அழைக்கப்படும் (தீர்ப்பு) நாளைப் பற்றியும் நான் பயப்படுகிறேன்.

மேலும், “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! அழைக்கப்படும் (மறுமை) நாளைப்பற்றியும் உங்கள் மீது நிச்சயமாக நான் பயப்படுகிறேன்(என்றும்),

O my people, I fear for you the Day of crying out to one another,

Yawma tuwalloona mudbireena ma lakum mina Allahi min AAasimin waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min hadin

A Day when you will turn your backs and flee having no protector from Allâh. And whomsoever Allâh sends astray, for him there is no guide.

The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allah any protector. And whoever Allah leaves astray - there is not for him any guide.

நீங்கள் (வேதனைக்குப் பயந்து) புறங்காட்டி ஓடும் அந்நாளில், அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும் உங்களைக் காப்பாற்றக் கூடியவன் ஒருவனுமில்லை. அல்லாஹ் எவனைத் தப்பான வழியில் விட்டுவிடுகின்றானோ, அவனை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்தக் கூடியவன் ஒருவனுமில்லை.

“அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும் உங்களைக் காப்பாற்றுபவர் எவருமில்லாத நிலையில் நீங்கள் பின் வாங்கும் நாள் (அது); அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ் யாரைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிடுகின்றானோ, அவனுக்கு நேர்வழி காட்டுவோர் எவருமில்லை.

“நீங்கள் (தண்டனைக்கு பயந்து) புறங்காட்டியவர்களாக ஓடும் நாளை (பயப்படுகிறேன், அந்நாளில்) அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து காப்பற்றக்கூடியவர் உங்களுக்கு எவருமில்லை, அல்லாஹ் எவரைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டு விடுகின்றானோ, அவரை நேர்வழியில் செலுத்தக்கூடியவனும் இல்லை.

the Day when you will turn your backs fleeing; having none to protect you from Allah. Whoever Allah causes to stray, he will have no guide.

Walaqad jaakum yoosufu min qablu bialbayyinati fama ziltum fee shakkin mimma jaakum bihi hatta itha halaka qultum lan yabAAatha Allahu min baAAdihi rasoolan kathalika yudillu Allahu man huwa musrifun murtabun

And indeed Yûsuf (Joseph) did come to you, in times gone by, with clear signs, but you ceased not to doubt in that which he did bring to you, till when he died you said: "No Messenger will Allâh send after him." Thus Allâh leaves astray him who is a Musrif (a polytheist, an oppressor, a criminal, a sinner who commits great sins) and a Murtâb (one who doubts Allâh's Warning and His Oneness).

And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allah send a messenger after him.' Thus does Allah leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."

இதற்கு முன்னரும், யூஸுஃப் (நபி) மெய்யாகவே தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்தார். அவர் இறந்துவிடும் வரையில், அவர் உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்ததைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டே இருந்தீர்கள். அவர் இறந்த பின்னரோ, (அவரைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்ந்து, இத்தகைய) யாதொரு தூதரையும் அவருக்குப் பின்னர் அல்லாஹ் அனுப்பவே மாட்டான் (என்று கூற முற்பட்டீர்கள்). வரம்பு மீறி (உங்களைப் போல) சந்தேகிப்பவர்களை இவ்வாறே அல்லாஹ் தவறான வழியில் விட்டு விடுகிறான்.

“மேலும், முற்காலத்தில் திட்டமாக யூஸுஃப் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் உங்களிடம் வந்தார், எனினும் அவர் இறந்து விடும் வரையில், அவர் உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்ததைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் சந்தேகத்திலேயே இருந்தீர்கள்; இறுதியில் (அவர் இறந்தபின்) “அவருக்குப் பின் எந்த ரஸூலையும் (தூதரையும்) அல்லாஹ் அனுப்பவே மாட்டான்” என்றும் கூறினீர்கள்; இவ்வாறே, எவர் வரம்பு மீறிச் சந்தேகிக்கிறாரோ அவரை அல்லாஹ் வழிகேட்டில் விட்டு விடுகிறான்.

“(மூஸாவுக்கு) முன்னர், யூஸுஃபும் திட்டமாக தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார், பின்னர், அவர் எதை உங்களிடம் கொண்டுவந்தாரோ அதை பற்றிய சந்தேகத்திலேயே (தொடர்ந்து) நீங்கள் இருந்தீர்கள், இறுதியாக அவர் இறந்தபோது, அவருக்குப் பின் எந்தத் தூதரையும் அல்லாஹ் அனுப்பவே மாட்டான்” என்று கூறினீர்கள். (உங்களைப் போல) எவர் (செயலில்) வரம்பு மீறி (உள்ளத்தில்) சந்தேகிக்கிறாரோ அவரை, இவ்வாறே அல்லாஹ் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிடுகிறான் (என்றும் கூறினார்).

Joseph came to you before with clear proofs, but you never ceased to doubt what he brought you. Then when he died, you said, ‘Allah will never send a messenger after him.’ This is how Allah causes to stray anyone who transgresses and is given to much doubting,

Allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi bighayri sultanin atahum kabura maqtan AAinda Allahi waAAinda allatheena amanoo kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala kulli qalbi mutakabbirin jabbarin

Those who dispute about the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, without any authority that has come to them, it is greatly hateful and disgusting to Allâh and to those who believe. Thus does Allâh seal up the heart of every arrogant, tyrant. (So they cannot guide themselves to the Right Path).

Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.

எவரேனும் (இறைவனிடமிருந்து) தங்களுக்கு வந்துள்ளதாகக் கூறக்கூடிய யாதொரு ஆதாரமுமின்றியே, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பற்றி (வீணாகத்) தர்க்கிக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் நஷ்டமடைந்து விடுவார்கள். ஏனென்றால், இது அல்லாஹ் விடத்திலும், நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களிடத்திலும் பெரும் அருவருப்பானதாகும். இவ்வாறே அல்லாஹ், பெருமை கொள்ளும் வம்பர்களின் உள்ளங்களிலெல்லாம் முத்திரையிட்டு விடுகின்றான்" (என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்).

“(இறைவனிடமிருந்து) தங்களுக்கு வந்த யாதோர் ஆதாரமுமின்றி, அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கம் செய்வது, அல்லாஹ்விடத்திலும் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களிடத்திலும் மிகவும் வெறுக்கப்பட்டதாகும்; இவ்வாறே, பெருமையடித்து ஆணவம் கொள்ளும் ஒவ்வோர் இருதயத்தின் மீதும் அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டு விடுகிறான்” (என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்).

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் (அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து) தங்களுக்கு வந்த யாதோர் ஆதாரமின்றி அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களில் தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றனர், அ(வ்வாறு தர்க்கம் செய்வ)து அல்லாஹ்விடத்திலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களிடத்திலும் கோபத்தால் பெரிதாகிவிட்டது, இவ்வாறே பெருமைகொண்ட, வம்பு செய்கின்ற ஒவ்வோர் இதயத்தின் மீது(ம்) அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டுவிடுகிறான்” (என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்).

those who argue against Allah’s signs with no proof given to them. How loathsome is that to Allah and to those who believe! This is how Allah seals the heart of every arrogant tyrant.”

Waqala firAAawnu ya hamanu ibni lee sarhan laAAallee ablughu alasbaba

And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "O Hâmân! Build me a tower that I may arrive at the ways –

And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, construct for me a tower that I might reach the ways -

(அதற்குப் ஃபிர்அவ்ன் தன்னுடைய மந்திரி ஹாமானை நோக்கி,) "ஹாமானே! நான் வானத்தினுடைய வாசலை அடையக்கூடிய உயர்ந்ததொரு கோபுரத்தை நீ எழுப்பு.

(இவ்வளவு உபதேசித்த பின்னரும்:) “ஹாமானே உயரமான ஒரு கோபுரத்தை எனக்காக நீ கட்டுவாயாக - நான் (மேலே செல்வதற்கான) பாதைகளைப் பெறும் பொருட்டு!

(அதற்கு) ஃபிர் அவ்ன், “ஹாமானே! (சகலருக்கும் தெரியும்படியான) உயர்ந்த (ஒரு) மாளிகையை எனக்காக கட்டும் (அதன் மூலம் உயரச் செல்லும்) வழிகளை நான் அறியலாம்” என்று கூறினான்.

Pharaoh said, “O Hāmān, build a tower for me so that I may reach the pathways –

Asbaba alssamawati faattaliAAa ila ilahi moosa wainnee laathunnuhu kathiban wakathalika zuyyina lifirAAawna sooo AAamalihi wasudda AAani alssabeeli wama kaydu firAAawna illa fee tababin

"The ways of the heavens, and I may look upon the Ilâh (God) of Mûsâ (Moses), but verily, I think him to be a liar." Thus it was made fair-seeming, in Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the (Right) Path; and the plot of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) led to nothing but loss and destruction (for him).

The ways into the heavens - so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin.

மூஸாவுடைய ஆண்டவனை நான் பார்க்க வேண்டும். அவர் பொய் சொல்கிறார் என்றே நிச்சயமாக நான் எண்ணுகின்றேன்" என்று கூறினான். இவ்வாறே ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்கு, அவனுடைய தீய காரியங்கள் அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு, நேரான வழியிலிருந்தும் அவன் தடுக்கப்பட்டு விட்டான். ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய சூழ்ச்சி எல்லாம் (வீண்) அழிவிலே தவிர (வேறொன்றிலும்) இருக்கவில்லை.

“(ஆம்) வானங்களின் பாதைகளை அடைந்து மூஸாவுடைய ஆண்டவனை நான் காண வேண்டும்; எனினும் அவர் பொய் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றே நிச்சயமாக நான் எண்ணுகிறேன்;” என ஃபிர்அவ்ன் கூறினான். இவ்வாறே ஃபிர்அவ்னுக்கு அவனுடைய தீய செயல்கள் அழகாக்கப்பட்டன; இன்னும் (நேர்) வழியிலிருந்து அவன் தடுக்கப்பட்டான்; ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய சதி அழிவில்லாமல் (வேறு எவ்விதமாகவும்) முடிய வில்லை.

வானங்களை அடையும் வழிகளை (நான் அறியலாம், அவற்றின் மூலம் சென்று) மூஸாவுடைய வணக்கத்திற்குரியவனை நான் பார்க்கவேண்டும், அவர் பொய் சொல்கிறார் என்றே நிச்சயமாக நான் எண்ணுகிறேன்” (என்றும் ஃபிர் அவ்ன் கூறினான்). இவ்வாறே ஃபிர் அவ்னுக்கு, அவனுடைய செயலின் தீமை அலங்கரித்துக் காட்டப்பட்டு விட்டது, (நேரான) வழியிலிருந்து அவன் தடுக்கபட்டும்விட்டான், ஃபிர் அவ்னுடைய சூழ்ச்சி அழிவிலேயே தவிர இல்லை.

the pathways to the heavens so that I have a look at the God of Moses, for I think he is a liar.” This is how Pharaoh’s evil deeds were made appealing to him and he was hindered from the [right] way, and the plan of Pharaoh led only to ruin.

Waqala allathee amana ya qawmi ittabiAAooni ahdikum sabeela alrrashadi

And the man who believed said: "O my people! Follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct [i.e. guide you to Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism with which Mûsâ (Moses) has been sent].

And he who believed said, "O my people, follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct.

அதற்கு, அவர்களில் நம்பிக்கை (கொண்டு தன் நம்பிக்கையை மறைத்துக்) கொண்டிருந்தவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி, "என்னுடைய மக்களே! என்னைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள். நான் உங்களுக்கு நேரான வழியைக் காண்பிப்பேன்.

ஈமான் கொண்டிருந்த அம்மனிதர் மேலும் கூறினார்: “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! என்னைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்; நான் உங்களுக்கு நேர்மையுடைய பாதையைக் காண்பிக்கிறேன்.

மேலும், அவர்களில் விசுவாசங்கொண்டிருந்தாரே அவர்_ “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! என்னை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள், நான் உங்களுக்கு நேரான வழியைக் காண்பிக்கிறேன்” என்று கூறினார்.

The man who believed said, “O my people, follow me, I will guide you to the right way.

Ya qawmi innama hathihi alhayatu alddunya mataAAun wainna alakhirata hiya daru alqarari

"O my people! Truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever."

O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement.

என்னுடைய மக்களே! நிச்சயமாக இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் சொற்ப இன்பம்தான். நிச்சயமாக மறுமை அதுதான் நிலையான (இன்பம் தரும்) வீடு.

“என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை யெல்லாம் அற்ப சுகம்தான்; அன்றியும் நிச்சயமாக, மறுமையோ - அதுதான் (என்றென்றுமிருக்கும்) நிலையான வீடு.

“என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! நிச்சயமாக இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையெல்லாம் (அழிந்து விடும்) இன்பந்தான்; நிச்சயமாக மறுமையோ_அதுதான் நிலையான (இன்பந்தரும்) வீடாகும்.

O my people, the life of this world is only a brief enjoyment, whereas the Hereafter is the permanent abode.

Man AAamila sayyiatan fala yujza illa mithlaha waman AAamila salihan min thakarin aw ontha wahuwa muminun faolaika yadkhuloona aljannata yurzaqoona feeha bighayri hisabin

"Whosoever does an evil deed, will not be requited except the like thereof; and whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer (in the Oneness of Allâh), such will enter Paradise, where they will be provided therein (with all things in abundance) without limit.

Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account.

எவனேனும் தீங்கு செய்தால், அதைப் போன்ற தீங்கே அன்றி (அதற்கதிகமாய்) அவனுக்குக் கூலியாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட மாட்டாது. அன்றி, ஆணோ பெண்ணோ எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றார்களோ, அத்தகையவர்கள் சுவனபதியில் நுழைந்துவிடுவார்கள். அதில் கணக்கின்றி (அதிகமாகவும்) கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

“எவர் தீமை செய்கிறாரோ, அவர் அதைப் போன்றதையே கூலியாகக் கொடுக்கப்படுவார்; எவர் ஒருவர், ஆணோ அல்லது பெண்ணோ முஃமினான நிலையில் ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்கிறாரோ அவர்கள் சுவர்க்கத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பார்; அதில் கணக்கில்லாது அவர்கள் உணவளிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

எவர் ஒரு தீமையைச் செய்கிறாரோ, அவர் அதைப்போன்றதையே தவிர (அதற்கதிமாய்) கூலியாகக் கொடுக்கப்படமாட்டார், இன்னும், எவர் ஆணாயினும், அல்லது பெண்ணாயினும் அவர் விசுவாசங்கொண்டவராக இருக்கும் நிலையில், நல்ல செயலைச் செய்தாரோ அ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் சுவனபதியில் நுழைந்துவிடுவார்கள், அதில் கணக்கின்றியே (அனைத்து சுவனத்து அருட்கொடைகளிலிருந்தும்) அவர்கள் கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

Whoever does an evil deed will only be recompensed with the like thereof, but whoever does righteous deed, whether male or female, and he is a believer – it is they who will enter Paradise, wherein they will be given provision without measure.

Waya qawmi ma lee adAAookum ila alnnajati watadAAoonanee ila alnnari

"And O my people! How is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire!

And O my people, how is it that I invite you to salvation while you invite me to the Fire?

என்னுடைய மக்களே! எனக்கென்ன, (ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்கிறது!) நானோ உங்களை ஈடேற்றத்திற்கு அழைக்கின்றேன். நீங்கள் என்னை நரகத்திற்கு அழைக்கின்றீர்கள்.

“என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! எனக்கென்ன? நான் உங்களை ஈடேற்றத்தின்பால் அழைக்கிறேன்; ஆனால் நீங்களோ என்னை (நரக) நெருப்பினால் அழைக்கிறீர்கள்.

இன்னும், “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! எனக்கென்ன? நானோ, உங்களை ஈடேற்றத்தின் பால் அழைக்கின்றேன், நீங்களோ என்னை நரகத்தின் பக்கம் அழைக்கின்றீர்கள்,

O my people, how is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire?

TadAAoonanee liakfura biAllahi waoshrika bihi ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun waana adAAookum ila alAAazeezi alghaffari

"You invite me to disbelieve in Allâh (and in His Oneness), and to join partners in worship with Him of which I have no knowledge; and I invite you to the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving!

You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.

அன்றி, நான் அல்லாஹ்வை நிராகரித்து விட்டு (இறைவனென) நான் நம்பாததை அவனுக்கு இணைவைக்கும்படி என்னை நீங்கள் அழைக்கின்றீர்கள். நானோ, அனைவரையும் மிகைத்தவனும் மிக மன்னிப்புடையவனுமாகிய அவனிடம் உங்களை அழைக்கின்றேன்.

“நான் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு (மாறு செய்து அவனை) நிராகரிக்க வேண்டுமென்றும், எனக்கு எதைப்பற்றி அறிவு இல்லையோ அதை நான் அவனுக்கு இணைவைக்க வேண்டுமென்றும் என்னை அழைக்கின்றீர்கள். ஆனால் நானோ யாவரையும் மிகைத்தவனும், மிக மன்னிப்பவனுமாகியவனிடம் அழைக்கின்றேன்.

“நான் அல்லாஹ்வை நிராகரிக்கவும், எதைப்பற்றி எனக்கு அறிவில்லையோ அதை அவனுக்கு நான் இணையாக்கவும் என்னை நீங்கள் அழைக்கின்றீர்கள், நானோ, (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனின் பக்கம் உங்களை அழைக்கிறேன்.

You call me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him what I have no knowledge of, while I call you to the All-Mighty, the Most Forgiving.

La jarama annama tadAAoonanee ilayhi laysa lahu daAAwatun fee alddunya wala fee alakhirati waanna maraddana ila Allahi waanna almusrifeena hum ashabu alnnari

"No doubt you call me to (worship) one who cannot grant (me) my request (or respond to my invocation) in this world or in the Hereafter. And our return will be to Allâh, and Al-Musrifûn (i.e. polytheists and arrogants, those who commit great sins, the transgressors of Allâh's set limits), they shall be the dwellers of the Fire!

Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no [response to a] supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire.

என்னை நீங்கள் எதன் பக்கம் அழைக்கின்றீர்களோ, அது இம்மையிலும் சரி, மறுமையிலும் சரி (இறைவனென்று) அழைப்பதற்கு ஒரு சிறிதும் நிச்சயமாக தகுதியற்றது என்பதில் சந்தேகமில்லை. அந்த அல்லாஹ்விடமே நாம் அனைவரும் திரும்பச் செல்வோம் (என்பதிலும் யாதொரு சந்தேகமில்லை). வரம்பு மீறுபவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக நரகவாசிகள்தாம் (என்பதிலும் யாதொரு சந்தேகமில்லை).

“என்னை நீங்கள் எதன் பக்கம் அழைக்கின்றீர்களோ, அது நிச்சயமாக இவ்வுலகிலும் மறுமையிலும் (நாயன் என) அழைப்பதற்கு சிறிதும் தகுதியில்லாதது; மேலும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அல்லாஹ்விடமே திரும்பச் செல்வோம். இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக வரம்பு மீறியவர்கள் நரக வாசிகளாகவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

“என்னை நீங்கள் எதன் பக்கம் அழைக்கின்றீர்களோ, அது இம்மையிலும், மறுமையிலும் (நாயனென்று) அழைப்பதற்கு நிச்சயமாக, ஒரு, சிறிதும் தகுதியற்றது நம்முடைய திரும்புமிடம் அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கமேயாகும், இன்னும் நிச்சயமாக வரம்பு மீறுவோர் நரகவாசிகள் தாம் என்பதில் சந்தேகமில்லை.

There is no doubt that those [gods] to whom you call me are not worthy of calling upon, neither in this world nor in the Hereafter. Our return is to Allah, and it is the transgressors who are the people of the Fire.

Fasatathkuroona ma aqoolu lakum waofawwidu amree ila Allahi inna Allaha baseerun bialAAibadi

"And you will remember what I am telling you, and my affair I leave it to Allâh. Verily, Allâh is the All-Seer of (His) slaves."

And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants."

நான் உங்களுக்குக் கூறுவதன் உண்மையை நிச்சயமாக அதிசீக்கிரத்தில் நீங்கள் (அறிந்து) நினைத்துப் பார்ப்பீர்கள். என்னுடைய எல்லா காரியங்களையும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே ஒப்படைக்கின்றேன். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களை உற்று நோக்கினவனாக இருக்கின்றான்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

“எனவே, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்வதை நீங்கள் விரைவில் உணர்வீர்கள்; மேலும், நான் என் காரியத்தை அல்லாஹ்விடம் ஒப்படைத்து விடுகிறேன் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அடியார்களைக் கண்ணுற்றவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்” (என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்).

“நான் உங்களுக்குக் கூறுவதை நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நினைவு கூர்வீர்கள், மேலும் என்னுடைய காரியத்தை அல்லாஹ்விடம் நான் ஒப்படைக்கின்றேன், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களைப் பார்க்கிறவன்” (என்றும் கூறினார்).

You will remember what I am telling you, and I entrust my affairs to Allah. Allah is All-Seeing of [His] slaves.”

Fawaqahu Allahu sayyiati ma makaroo wahaqa biali firAAawna sooo alAAathabi

So, Allâh saved him from the evils that they plotted (against him), while an evil torment encompassed Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) people.

So Allah protected him from the evils they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were enveloped by the worst of punishment -

ஆகவே, அவர்கள் செய்த சூழ்ச்சிகளின் தீங்குகளிலிருந்து அவரை அல்லாஹ் காப்பாற்றினான். ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய மக்களைக் கடினமான வேதனை சூழ்ந்துகொண்டது.

ஆகவே, அவர்கள் திட்டமிட்ட தீமைகளை விட்டும் அல்லாஹ் அவரைக் காத்துக் கொண்டான். மேலும் வேதனையின் கேடு ஃபிர்அவ்னின் கூட்டத்தாரைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது.

ஆகவே, அவர்கள் சூழ்ச்சி செய்ததின் தீமைகளை விட்டும் (ஈமானை மறைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்த) அவரை அல்லாஹ் பாதுகாத்துக்கொண்டான், மேலும் ஃபிர் அவ்னைச் சார்ந்தோரை தீயவேதனை சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது.

So Allah protected him from the evil that they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were overwhelmed by an evil punishment:

Alnnaru yuAAradoona AAalayha ghuduwwan waAAashiyyan wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu adkhiloo ala firAAawna ashadda alAAathabi

The Fire, they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon. And on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir'aun's (Pharaoh's) people to enter the severest torment!"

The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment."

காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் அவர்கள் நரக நெருப்பின் முன் கொண்டு போகப்படுகின்றனர். மறுமை நாளிலோ, ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய மக்களைக் கடினமான வேதனையில் புகுத்துங்கள் எனக் கூறப்படும்.

காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் அவர்கள் நரக நெருப்பின் முன் கொண்டுவரப்படுவார்கள்; மேலும் நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு காலம் நிலைபெற்றிருக்கும் நாளில் “ஃபிர்அவ்னுடைய கூட்டத்தாரைக் கடினமான வேதனையில் புகுத்துங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

அந்(நரக)நெருப்பு_அதன் மீது காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் அவர்கள் எடுத்துக் காட்டப்படுகிறார்கள், மேலும் மறுமை நாள் நிலைபெற்று விடும் நாளில், “ஃபிர் அவ்னைச் சார்ந்தோரைக் கடினமான வேதனையில் புகுத்துங்கள்” (என மலக்குகளுக்குக் கூறப்படும்).

the Fire, which they will be exposed to [in their graves] morning and evening, and on the Day when the Hour takes place [it will be said], “Admit the people of Pharaoh into the most severe punishment.”

Waith yatahajjoona fee alnnari fayaqoolu aldduAAafao lillatheena istakbaroo inna kunna lakum tabaAAan fahal antum mughnoona AAanna naseeban mina alnnari

And, when they will dispute in the Fire, the weak will say to those who were arrogant: "Verily, we followed you, can you then take from us some portion of the Fire?"

And [mention] when they will argue within the Fire, and the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we were [only] your followers, so will you relieve us of a share of the Fire?"

நரகத்தில் அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டு, (அவர்களில் உள்ள) பலவீனமானவர்கள் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த (தலை)வர்களை நோக்கி "மெய்யாகவே நாங்கள் உங்களையே பின்பற்றியிருந்தோம். இன்றைய தினம் நீங்கள் நரகத்தி(ன் வேதனையி)லிருந்து ஒரு சிறிதேனும் எங்களைவிட்டு நீங்கள் தடுத்துவிட முடியுமா?" என்று கேட்பார்கள்.

அவர்கள் நரக நெருப்பில் தர்க்கம் செய்து கொண்டு, பலஹீனர்கள் பெருமை அடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோரை நோக்கி: “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களைப் பின்பற்றுபவர்களாக இருந்தோம் - எனவே, எங்களை விட்டும் இந்நெருப்பிலிருந்து ஒரு பகுதியையாவது விலக்கி வைப்பீர்களாக?” என்று அவர்கள் சொல்லும் வேளையை (நினைவுட்டுவீராக!).

மேலும், (நரகவாசிகளாகிய) அவர்கள் நரகத்தில் தர்க்கம் செய்துகொள்ளும் சமயத்தில், அப்போது (அவர்களிலுள்ள) பலவீனமானவர்கள், பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்களிடம், “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களையே பின்பற்றுவோராக இருந்தோம், ஆகவே, (இன்று) நரகத்தி(ன் வேதனையி)லிருந்து ஒரு பகுதியையேனும் எங்களை விட்டும் நீங்கள் தடுத்துவிடக்கூடியவர்களா?” என்று கேட்பர்.

[Imagine] when they will argue in the Fire: the weak will say to those who were arrogant, “We were your followers, can you then relieve us of a portion of the Fire?”

Qala allatheena istakbaroo inna kullun feeha inna Allaha qad hakama bayna alAAibadi

Those who were arrogant will say: "We are all (together) in this (Fire)! Verily, Allâh has judged between (His) slaves!"

Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants."

அதற்கு, பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த அ(வர்களுடைய தலை)வர்கள், "மெய்யாகவே (நாங்களும், நீங்களும் ஆக) நாம் அனைவரும் நரகத்தில்தான் இருக்கின்றோம். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களுக்கு(ச் செய்ய வேண்டியதிருந்த) தீர்ப்பைச் செய்து விட்டான். (ஆகவே, உங்களுக்காக நாங்கள் ஒன்றும் உதவி செய்வதற்கில்லை)" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

(அப்போது:) “நிச்சயமாக நாம் எல்லோருமே இதிலிருக்கிறோம்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (தன்) அடியார்களுக்கிடையில் தீர்ப்புச் செய்து விட்டான்” என்று பெருமை அடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.

(அதற்கு அவர்களுடைய தலைவர்களான) பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோர் “நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் இதில்தான் இருக்கிறோம், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன்னுடைய அடியார்களுக்கிடையே திட்டமாக தீர்ப்பளித்துவிட்டான்” என்று கூறுவர்.

Those who were arrogant will say, “We are all in it. Allah has already passed judgment among [His] slaves.”

Waqala allatheena fee alnnari likhazanati jahannama odAAoo rabbakum yukhaffif AAanna yawman mina alAAathabi

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers (angels) of Hell: "Call upon your Lord to lighten for us the torment for a day!"

And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment."

பின்னர், நரகத்திலுள்ளவர்கள் நரகத்தின் காவலாளர்களை நோக்கி "வேதனையை ஒரு நாளேனும் எங்களுக்கு இலேசாக்குமாறு உங்கள் இறைவனிடம் நீங்கள் கேளுங்கள்" எனக் கூறுவார்கள்.

“இவ்வேதனையை ஒரு நாளைக்கு (மட்டுமாவது) எங்களுக்கு இலேசாக்கும்படி உங்கள் இறைவனிடத்தில் பிரார்த்தனை செய்யுங்கள்” என்று (நரக) நெருப்பில் இருப்பவர்கள் நரகத்தின் காவலாளிகளை நோக்கி கூறுவார்கள்.

இன்னும், நரகத்திலுள்ளவர்கள்; நரகக்காவலர்களிடம், “உங்கள் இரட்சகனிடம் (எங்களுக்காக) நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தனை செய்யுங்கள், வேதனையே ஒரு நாளேனும் எங்களுக்கு அவன் இலேசாக்குவான்” என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

Those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Pray to your Lord to lighten for us the punishment for just one day.”

Qaloo awalam taku tateekum rusulukum bialbayyinati qaloo bala qaloo faodAAoo wama duAAao alkafireena illa fee dalalin

They will say: "Did there not come to you, your Messengers with (clear) evidences (and signs)?" They will say: "Yes." They will reply: "Then call (as you like)! And the invocation of the disbelievers is nothing but in vain (as it will not be answered by Allâh)!"

They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error."

அதற்கவர்கள் (இவர்களை நோக்கி) "உங்களிடம் வந்த (இறைவனுடைய) தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் உங்களிடம் வரவில்லையா?" என்று கேட்பார்கள். அதற்கு இவர்கள் "ஆம்! மெய்தான் (வந்தார்கள்)" என்று கூறுவார்கள். அதற்கவர்கள், "அவ்வாறாயின், (நாங்கள் இறைவனிடம் கேட்பதற்கில்லை.) நீங்களே கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று கூறிவிடுவார்கள். இந்நிராகரிப் பவர்களின் பிரார்த்தனை யாதொரு பயனும் அளிக்காது.

“உங்கள் ரஸூல்கள் (தூதர்கள்) உங்களிடம் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் வரவில்லையா?” என (அக்காவலாளிகள்) கேட்பார்கள். “ஆம்! நிச்சயமாக” என அவர்கள் பதில் கூறுவார்கள். “அவ்வாறாயின் நீங்களே பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவர். ஆனால் காஃபிர்களின் பிரார்த்தனை வழி கேட்டிலில்லாமல் இல்லை.  

அ(தற்க)வர்கள் (இவர்களிடம் அல்லாஹ்வினால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட) “உங்களுடைய தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் உங்களிடம் வந்து கொண்டிருக்கவில்லையா?” என்று கேட்பார்கள், அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “ஆம்,!” என்று கூறுவார்கள், அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “அவ்வாறாயின் (நாங்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடம் கேட்க மாட்டோம்) நீங்களே பிரார்த்தனை செய்து கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று கூறிவிடுவார்கள், மேலும், நிராகரிப்போரின் பிரார்த்தனை வழிகேட்டிலேயே தவிர இல்லை.

They will say, “Did your messengers not come to you with clear proofs?” They will say, “Yes.” They will say, “Then keep praying! The prayer of the disbelievers is only in vain.”

Inna lanansuru rusulana waallatheena amanoo fee alhayati alddunya wayawma yaqoomu alashhadu

Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth (i.e. Day of Resurrection)? –

Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand -

நிச்சயமாக நாம் நம்முடைய தூதர்களுக்கும், நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களுக்கும் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையிலும் உதவி செய்வோம். (இவர்களுக்காக) சாட்சிகள் வந்து கூறும் (மறுமை) நாளிலும் உதவி செய்வோம்.

நிச்சயமாக, நாம் நம்முடைய ரஸூல்(தூதர்)களுக்கும், ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களுக்கும், இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையிலும், சாட்சிகள் நிலைபெறும் நாளிலும் உதவி செய்வோம்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம், நம்முடைய தூதர்களுக்கும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டோருக்கும் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையிலும், சாட்சிகள் நிலைபெறும் (மறுமை) நாளிலும் திண்ணமாக உதவி செய்வோம்.

We will surely help Our messengers and those who believe in the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will come forward,

Yawma la yanfaAAu alththalimeena maAAthiratuhum walahumu allaAAnatu walahum sooo alddari

The Day when their excuses will be of no profit to Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong doers and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh). Theirs will be the curse, and theirs will be the evil abode (i.e. painful torment in Hell-fire).

The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse, and they will have the worst home.

அந்நாளில் அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் கூறும் புகல்கள் ஒன்றுமே பயனளிக்காது. அன்றி, அவர்களுக்கு (இறைவனின்) சாபமும் உண்டு; அவர்களுக்குத் தீய இருப்பிடமும் உண்டு.

அந்நாளில், அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் புகழ் கூறுதல் பயனளிக்காது - அவர்களுக்கு லஃனத்தும் (சாபமும்) உண்டு; தீய இருப்பிடமும் அவர்களுக்குண்டு.

(அந் நாள்) அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் புகல் (கூறுதல் ஒன்றுமே) பயனளிக்காத நாள், அவர்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ்வின்) சாபமும் உண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு (வேதனையால் மறுமை) வீட்டின் கெடுதியுமுண்டு.

the Day when the excuses of the wrongdoers will be of no benefit to them; and they will be cursed and for them there will be the worst abode.

Walaqad atayna moosa alhuda waawrathna banee israeela alkitaba

And, indeed We gave Mûsâ (Moses) the guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture [i.e. the Taurât (Torah)]?–

And We had certainly given Moses guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture

நிச்சயமாக நாம் மூஸாவுக்கு (தவ்றாத் வேதமென்னும்) நேரான வழியைக் கொடுத்து, இஸ்ராயீலின் சந்ததிகளை அவ் வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசுகளாக ஆக்கி வைத்தோம்.

நிச்சயமாக மூஸாவுக்கு நேர்வழி (காட்டும் வேதத்தை) நாம் அளித்தோம் - அன்றியும் இஸ்ராயீலின் சந்ததியினரை வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசாக்கினோம்.

மேலும், திட்டமாக நாம் மூஸாவுக்கு (தவ்ராத் வேதமாகிய) நேர் வழியைக் கொடுத்தோம், இஸ்ராயீலின் மக்களை அவ்வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசுகளாகவும் ஆக்கினோம்.

We gave Moses guidance, and made the Children of Israel inherit the Scripture,

Hudan wathikra liolee alalbabi

A guide and a reminder for men of understanding.

As guidance and a reminder for those of understanding.

அது நேரான வழியாகவும் அறிவுடையவர்களுக்கு நல்லுபதேசமாகவும் இருந்தது. (எனினும், அதனை அவர்கள் சரிவர பின்பற்றவில்லை.)

(அது) நேரான வழிகாட்டியாகவும் அறிவுடையோருக்கு நல்லுபதேசமாகவும் இருந்தது.

(அது) நேர்வழியாகவும் அறிவுடையோருக்கு நல்லுபதேசமாகவும் (இருந்தது).

as a guide and a reminder to people of understanding.

Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun waistaghfir lithanbika wasabbih bihamdi rabbika bialAAashiyyi waalibkari

So be patient (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]). Verily, the Promise of Allâh is true, and ask forgiveness for your fault, and glorify the praises of your Lord in the 'Ashî (i.e. the time period after the midnoon till sunset) and in the Ibkâr (i.e. the time period from early morning or sunrise till before midnoon) [it is said that, that means the five compulsory congregational Salât (prayers) or the 'Asr and Fajr prayers].

So be patient, [O Muhammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் (கஷ்டங்களைச்) சகித்துக் கொண்டு பொறுமையாக இருங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானது. நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய தவறுகளுக்கு மன்னிப்பைக் கோரிக்கொண்டும், காலையிலும், மாலையிலும் உங்களது இறைவனைப் புகழ்ந்து துதி செய்து கொண்டும் இருப்பீராக!

ஆகவே, நீர் பொறுமையுடன் இருப்பீராக. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி உறுதியுடையதாகும். உம் பாவத்திற்காக மன்னிப்புக் கோருவீராக; மாலையிலும் காலையிலும் உம் இறைவனைப் புகழ்ந்து, தஸ்பீஹு (துதி) செய்து கொண்டு இருப்பீராக!

எனவே, (நபியே!) நீர் (கஷ்டங்களைச் சகித்துக்கொண்டு) பொறுமையாக இருப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானதாகும், மேலும், நீர் உம்முடைய பாவத்திற்காக மன்னிப்புக்கோருவீராக! மேலும், மாலையிலும், காலையிலும் உமதிரட்சிகனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு துதி செய்து கொண்டிருப்பீராக!

So be patient, for Allah’s promise is true. Seek forgiveness for your sin, and glorify your Lord with His praise evening and morning.

Inna allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi bighayri sultanin atahum in fee sudoorihim illa kibrun ma hum bibaligheehi faistaAAith biAllahi innahu huwa alssameeAAu albaseeru

Verily, those who dispute about the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, without any authority having come to them, there is nothing else in their breasts except pride [to accept you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) as a Messenger of Allâh and to obey you]. They will never have it (i.e. Prophethood which Allâh has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge in Allâh (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] from the arrogants). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without [any] authority having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் தங்களிடம் யாதொரு ஆதாரமு மில்லாமல், (இருக்கும் நிலைமையில்) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கிக்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் (வெறும்) பெருமையைத் தவிர வேறொன்றுமில்லை. (அப்பெருமையை) அவர்கள் அடையவும் மாட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, (உங்களை) பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளுமாறு அல்லாஹ்விடம் நீங்கள் கோருங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவன் (அனைத்தையும்) செவியுறு பவனாகவும் உற்று நோக்குபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் தங்களிடம் வந்த அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப்பற்றி எந்த ஆதாரமுமின்றித் தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் பெருமை தவிர (வேறு எதுவும்) இல்லை; ஆனால் அ(ப் பெருமையான)தை அவர்கள் அடையவும் மாட்டார்கள்; ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் அல்லாஹ்விடமே பாதுகாவல் தேடுவீராக! நிச்சயமாக அவன், யாவற்றையும் செவியேற்பவன், பார்ப்பவன்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களில், தங்களுக்கு வந்த எவ்வித சான்றுமில்லாமல் தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள் _ அவர்களுடைய இதயங்களில் (வெறும்) பெருமையல்லாது (வேறு) இல்லை, அதை அவர்கள் அடையக்கூடியவர்களல்லர், ஆகவே, நீர் அல்லாஹ்வைக்கொண்டு பாதுகாவல் தேடுவீராக! நிச்சயமாக, அவனே (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

Those who argue against the verses of Allah without any proof given to them, there is nothing in their hearts but quest for dominance which they will never attain. So seek refuge with Allah, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

Lakhalqu alssamawati waalardi akbaru min khalqi alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona

The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind; yet, most of mankind know not.

The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, but most of the people do not know.

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்திருப்பது, (இறந்த) மனிதர்களை (மறு முறை) படைப்பதைவிட நிச்சயமாக மிகப் பெரிய காரியமாகும். ஆயினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் இவ்வளவுகூட அறிந்து கொள்வதில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைப்பது, மனிதர்களைப் படைப்பதை விட மிகவும் பெரிதாகும் - எனினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் அறிய மாட்டார்கள்.

திட்டமாக வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைப்பது மனிதர்களைப் படைப்பதைவிட மிகப்பெரியதாகும், எனினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் இதனை அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

The creation of the heavens and earth is far greater than the creation of mankind, but most people do not know.

Wama yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wala almuseeo qaleelan ma tatathakkaroona

And not equal are the blind and those who see; nor are (equal) those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous good deeds, and those who do evil. Little do you remember!

And not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the evildoer. Little do you remember.

குருடனும் பார்வையுடையவனும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள். (அவ்வாறே) நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்கள் செய்பவர்களும் (நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாத) பாவிகளும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள். வெகு சொற்பமாகவே இதனைக்கொண்டு நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுகிறீர்கள்.

குருடரும், பார்வையுடையோரும் சமமாகார்; அவ்வாறே, ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்வோரும், தீயோரும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள்; உங்களில் சொற்பமானவர்களே (இதைக் கொண்டு) நல்லுபதேசம் பெறுகிறீர்கள்.

குருடரும், பார்வையுடையவரும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள், (அவ்வாறே,) விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்கருமங்கள் செய்தார்களே அவர்களும், தீயவரும் (சமமாக மாட்டார்கள்) வெகு சொற்பமாகவே (இதனைக்கொண்டு) நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுகிறீர்கள்.

The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds [equal] to those who do evil. Little do you take heed!

Inna alssaAAata laatiyatun la rayba feeha walakinna akthara alnnasi la yuminoona

Verily, the Hour (Day of Judgement) is surely coming, there is no doubt about it, yet most men believe not.

Indeed, the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe.

விசாரணைக் காலம் நிச்சயமாக வந்தே தீரும். அதில் சந்தேகமே இல்லை. எனினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் (இதனை) நம்புவதில்லை.

(விசாரணைக்குரிய) காலம் நிச்சயமாக வந்தே தீரும்; அதில் சந்தேகமே இல்லை - எனினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் இதில் ஈமான் கொள்வதில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக மறுமைநாள் வரக்கூடியதே, அதில் சந்தேகமே இல்லை, எனினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதனை) நம்பமாட்டார்கள்.

Indeed, the Hour is coming; there is no doubt about it, but most people do not believe.

Waqala rabbukumu odAAoonee astajib lakum inna allatheena yastakbiroona AAan AAibadatee sayadkhuloona jahannama dakhireena

And your Lord said: "Invoke Me [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islâmic Monotheism) and ask Me for anything], I will respond to your (invocation). Verily, those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islâmic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"

And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible.

உங்கள் இறைவன் கூறுகின்றான்: "நீங்கள் (உங்களுக்கு வேண்டியவை அனைத்தையும்) என்னிடமே கேளுங்கள். நான் உங்களுடைய பிரார்த்தனையை அங்கீகரித்துக் கொள்வேன். எவர்கள் என்னை வணங்காது பெருமையடிக்கின்றனரோ, அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களாக நரகம் புகுவார்கள்.

உங்கள் இறைவன் கூறுகிறான்: “என்னையே நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தியுங்கள்; நான் உங்(கள் பிரார்த்தனை)களுக்கு பதிலளிக்கிறேன்; எவர்கள் என்னை வணங்குவதை விட்டும் பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் சிறுமையடைந்தவர்களாக நரகத்தில் நுழைவார்கள்.”

இன்னும், உங்களுடைய இரட்சகன் கூறுகிறான், “நீங்கள் என்னையே அழை(த்துப் பிரார்த்தி)யுங்கள், நான் உங்களு(டைய பிரார்த்தனை)க்கு பதிலளிப்பேன், நிச்சயமாக, என்னை வணங்குவதைவிட்டும் பெருமை அடிக்கிறார்களே, அத்தகையோர்_ அவர்கள் இழிவடைந்தவர்களாய் நரகம் புகுவார்கள்”.

Your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you. Those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell, utterly debased.”

Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla litaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran inna Allaha lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yashkuroona

Allâh, it is He Who has made the night for you that you may rest therein and the day for you to see. Truly, Allâh is full of bounty to mankind; yet, most of mankind give no thanks.

It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful.

அல்லாஹ்தான், நீங்கள் (இளைப்பாறி) சுகமடைவதற்காக இரவையும், (வெளிச்சத்தால் பலவற்றையும்) நீங்கள் பார்க்கும்படி பகலையும் படைத்தான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்களின் மீது பேரருள் புரிகின்றான். ஆயினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும் பாலானவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.

நீங்கள் இளைப்பாறுவதற்காக இரவையும், நீங்கள் பார்ப்பதற்காக பகலையும் அல்லாஹ்தான் படைத்தான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்கள் மீது அருள் பொழிகின்றான்; ஆயினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் நன்றி செலுத்துவதில்லை.

அல்லாஹ்_அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களுக்காக இரவை_அதில் நீங்கள் ஓய்வு பெறுவதற்க்காகவும், பகலைப் பார்ப்பதற்க்காகவும் அவன் அமைத்தான், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்கள் மீது பேரருள் உடையவன், எனினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் நன்றி செலுத்தமாட்டர்கள்.

It is Allah Who has made the night for you to rest therein and the day bright. Indeed, Allah is Most Bountiful to people, but most people are ungrateful.

Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum khaliqu kulli shayin la ilaha illa huwa faanna tufakoona

That is Allâh, your Lord, the Creator of all things, Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turning away (from Allâh, by worshipping others instead of Him)?

That is Allah, your Lord, Creator of all things; there is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?

உங்களின் இத்தகைய இறைவனான அல்லாஹ்தான் (மற்ற) பொருள்கள் அனைத்தையும் படைப்பவன். அவனைத்தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறொரு இறைவன் இல்லை. ஆகவே, (அவனை விட்டு) நீங்கள் எங்கு திருப்பப்படுகின்றீர்கள்?

அவன் தான் உங்கள் அல்லாஹ் - உங்கள் இறைவன் - எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் படைப்பவன் - அவனைத் தவிர வேறு நாயனில்லை; எனவே நீங்கள் (சத்தியத்தை விட்டும்) எங்கு திருப்பப்படுகிறீர்கள்?

அவன்தான் அல்லாஹ்_உங்களுடைய இரட்சகன், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் படைக்கிறவன், அவனைத்தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை, ஆகவே (அவனைப் புறக்கணித்து விட்டு) நீங்கள் எங்கே திருப்பப்படுகிறீர்கள்?

Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of everything; none has the right to be worshiped except Him. How can you be deluded?

Kathalika yufaku allatheena kanoo biayati Allahi yajhadoona

Thus were turned away those who used to deny the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh.

Thus were those [before you] deluded who were rejecting the signs of Allah.

அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை நிராகரித்துக்கொண்டு (முன்னர்) இருந்தவர்களும், இவ்வாறுதான் வெருண்டோடிச் சென்றனர்.

அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களை நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களே அவர்களும் இவ்வாறே திருப்பப்பட்டனர்.

அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை நிராகரித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்களே, அவர்களும் இவ்வாறே திருப்பப்படுகிறார்கள்.

This is how deluded are those who rejected Allah’s signs.

Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu alarda qararan waalssamaa binaan wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakum warazaqakum mina alttayyibati thalikumu Allahu rabbukum fatabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena

Allâh, it is He Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allâh, your Lord, so Blessed is Allâh, the Lord of the 'آlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a ceiling and formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; then blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களுக்கு பூமியை (நீங்கள்) வசித்திருக்கும் இடமாகவும், வானத்தை ஒரு முகடாகவும் அமைத்து, உங்களைச் சித்தரித்து, அழகான கோலத்திலும் உங்களை அமைத்தான். அன்றி, அவனே உங்களுக்கு மேலான உணவு களையும் அளிக்கின்றான். அதே அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்கள் இறைவன். அகிலத்தார்களின் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ் மிக பாக்கியம் உடையவன்.

அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களுக்கு இப்பூமியைத் தங்குமிடமாகவும், வானத்தை ஒரு விதானமாகவும் உண்டாக்கியிருக்கிறான்; மேலும், அவன் தான் உங்களை உருவாக்கி, உங்கள் உருவங்களை அழகாக்கி, சிறந்த ஆகார வசதிகளையும் அளித்தான்; அவன்தான் அல்லாஹ்; உங்களுடைய இறைவன்; அகிலத்தாருக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ் மிக பாக்கியமுடையவன்.

அல்லாஹ்_அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களுக்காக பூமியைத் தங்குமிடமாகவும், வானத்தை முகடாகவும் அவன் அமைத்தான், மேலும், உங்க(ள் தோற்றங்க)ளை உருவகப்படுத்தினான், பின்னர், உங்களின் தோற்றங்களை அவன் அழகாக்கினான், இன்னும், (பரிசுத்தமான) நல்லவைகளிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு அவன் உணவும் அளித்தான், (இத்தகுதிகளுக்குரியவனான) அவன் தான் உங்களுடய இரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ்; ஆகவே, அகிலத்தாரின் இரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ் மிக்க பாக்கியமிக்கவன்.

It is Allah Who has made the earth a dwelling place for you and the sky a canopy. He shaped you and perfected your form, and provided you with good things. Such is Allah, your Lord; Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

Huwa alhayyu la ilaha illa huwa faodAAoohu mukhliseena lahu alddeena alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

He is the Ever Living, Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He); so invoke Him making your worship pure for Him Alone (by worshipping Him Alone, and none else, and by doing righteous deeds sincerely for Allâh's sake only, and not to show off, and not setting up rivals with Him in worship). All praise and thanks are Allâh's, the Lord of the 'آlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

அவன் நிரந்தரமானவன்; அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத் திற்குரிய வேறொரு இறைவன் இல்லை. ஆகவே, அவனுக்கு (மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் வழிப்பட்டுக் கலப்பற்ற மனதுடன் அவனை அழைப்பீர்களாக! உலகத்தார் அனைவரையும் படைத்து வளர்த்துப் பரிபக்குவப்படுத்தும் அந்த அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எல்லா புகழும் உரித்தானது" (என்றும் கூறுங்கள்.)

அவனே (என்றென்றும்) உயிரோடிருப்பவன்; அவனையன்றி (வேறு) நாயனில்லை - ஆகவே நீங்கள் அவனுக்கே முற்றிலும் வழிபட்டு தூய உள்ளத்தோடு அவனை அழையுங்கள்; அல்ஹம்து லில்லாஹி ரப்பில் ஆலமீன் - அனைத்துப் புகழும் அகிலங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் படைத்துக் காத்துப் பரிபக்குவப்படுத்தும் நாயனான அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே ஆகும்.

அவனே உயிரோடிருப்பவன், அவனைத்தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை, எனவே, நீங்கள் வணக்கத்தை அவனுக்கே தூய்மையாக்கியவர்களாக அவனை பிரார்த்தி(த்து அழை)யுங்கள். அனைத்துப் புகழும் அகிலத்தாரின் இரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியவையாகும்.

He is the Ever-Living; none has the right to be worshiped except Him. So call upon Him with sincere devotion to Him. All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi lamma jaaniya albayyinatu min rabbee waomirtu an oslima lirabbi alAAalameena

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "I have been forbidden to worship those whom you worship besides Allâh, since there have come to me evidences from my Lord; and I am commanded to submit (in Islâm) to the Lord of the 'آlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists).

Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allah once the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds."

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "என் இறைவனிடமிருந்து தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகள் என்னிடம் வந்ததன் பின்னர், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் (இறைவனென) அழைப்பவைகளை நான் வணங்கக்கூடாதென்று நிச்சயமாகத் தடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளேன். அன்றி, உலகத்தாரின் (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) இறைவனுக்கே நான் முற்றிலும் வழிபட்டு நடக்கும்படியும் ஏவப்பட்டுள்ளேன்" (என்றும் கூறுங்கள்.)

(நபியே!) கூறுவீராக: “என்னுடைய இறைவனிடமிருந்து தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகள் எனக்கு வந்த பொழுது, அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் அழைப்பவற்றை வணங்குவதை விட்டும் நிச்சயமாக நான் தடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளேன் - அன்றியும் - அகிலத்தின் இறைவனுக்கே அடிபணிய வேண்டும் என்று கட்டளையிடப்பட்டிருக்கின்றேன்.”

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “என் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகள் எனக்கு வந்தபோது, அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் (தெய்வங்களாக) அழைப்பவைகளை நான் வணங்குவதை விட்டும் நிச்சயமாக நான் தடுக்கப்பட்டு விட்டேன். அன்றியும், அகிலத்தாரின் இரட்சகனுக்கே நான் முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடக்குமாறு நான் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டு விட்டேன்.”

Say [O Prophet], “I have been forbidden to worship those whom you worship besides Allah, since the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.”

Huwa allathee khalaqakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min AAalaqatin thumma yukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughoo ashuddakum thumma litakoonoo shuyookhan waminkum man yutawaffa min qablu walitablughoo ajalan musamman walaAAallakum taAAqiloona

It is He, Who has created you (Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah [mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge (i.e. Adam's offspring)] then from a clot (a piece of coagulated blood), then brings you forth as an infant, then (makes you grow) to reach the age of full strength, and afterwards to be old (men and women) – though some among you die before – and that you reach an appointed term in order that you may understand.

It is He who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason.

அவன்தான் உங்களை (ஆரம்பத்தில்) மண்ணிலிருந்தும் பின்னர், ஒரு இந்திரியத்துளியிலிருந்தும், பின்னர், கருவிலிருந்தும் படைத்தான். பிறகு அவனே உங்களை ஒரு சிசுவாகவும் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறான். பின்னர், (படிப்படியாக) நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாலிபத்தை அடைந்து, பின்னர் நீங்கள் முதியோராகின்றீர்கள். இதற்கு முன்னரும் உங்களில் பலர் இறந்துவிடுகின்றனர். ஆயினும், (உங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவரும்) குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையை அடைந்தே தீருகின்றீர்கள். இதனை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வீர்களாக!

அவன்தான் உங்களை மண்ணிலிருந்து படைத்தான்; பின் இந்திரியத்திலிருந்தும் பின் அலக் என்னும் நிலையிலிருந்தும் (உருவாக்கி) உங்களைக் குழந்தையாக வெளியாக்குகிறான்; பின் நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாலிபத்தை அடைந்து, பின்னர் முதியோராகுகிறீர்கள்; இதற்கு முன்னர் இறந்து விடுவோரும் உங்களில் இருக்கின்றனர் - இன்னும் நீங்கள் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையை அடைவீர்கள்; (இதிலிருந்து) நீங்கள் உணர்வு பெறும் பொருட்டு (இதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்).

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களை (ஆரம்பத்தில்) மண்ணிலிருந்து படைத்தான், பின்னர், இந்திரியத் துளியிலிருந்தும், பின்னர், இரத்தத் கட்டியிலிருந்தும் (உருவாக்கி) பின்னர் உங்களைக் குழந்தையாக வெளியாக்குகிறான், பின்னர் (படிப்படியாக) நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாலிபத்தை அடைவதற்காகவும், பின்னர் நீங்கள் முதியோராக ஆவதற்காகவும், (உங்களைப் படைத்தான். இதற்கு) முன்னரே மரணிப்பவரும் உங்களில் இருக்கிறார்கள், இன்னும், குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட தவணையை நீங்கள் அடைவதற்காகவும், (இதிலிருந்து அவனின் சக்தியை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்வதற்காகவும் (இவ்வாறு செய்தான்).

It is He Who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot. Then He brings you out as an infant, so that you may reach your age of full strength, then you become old, even though some of you may die earlier – and so that you may reach an appointed term, and so that you may understand.

Huwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu faitha qada amran fainnama yaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu

It is He Who gives life and causes death. And when He decides upon a thing He says to it only: "Be!" – and it is.

He it is who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is.

அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கின்றான்; உயிர் வாங்குகின்றான். யாதொன்றை(ப் படைக்க) அவன் தீர்மானித்தால் அதனை "ஆகுக" என்று அவன் கூறியவுடன் அது ஆகிவிடுகின்றது.

அவனே உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்; அவனே மரிக்கச் செய்கிறான். ஆகவே அவன் ஒரு காரியத்தை(ச் செய்ய)த் தீர்மானித்தால்: “ஆகுக!” என்று அதற்குக் கூறுகிறான். உடன் அது ஆகிவிடுகிறது.  

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், அவனே உயிரளிக்கின்றான், இன்னும், மரணிக்கச் செய்கின்றான், எனவே, ஏதேனும் ஒரு காரியத்தை(ச் செய்ய) அவன் தீர்மானித்தால், அப்போது அதற்கு அவன் கூறுவதெல்லாம் ஆகுக! என்பதைத்தான் (அப்போது) உடனே அது ஆகிவிடும்.

It is He Who gives life and causes death. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.

Alam tara ila allatheena yujadiloona fee ayati Allahi anna yusrafoona

See you not those who dispute about the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh? How are they turning away [from the truth (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) to the falsehood (i.e. polytheism)]?

Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted?

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பற்றி (வீணாக)த் தர்க்கிப்பவர்கள் எவ்வாறு (உண்மையை விட்டும்) திருப்பப் படுகின்றனர் என்பதை நீங்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா?

அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கம் செய்பவர்களை நீங்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? எவ்வாறு அவர்கள் (சத்தியத்தை விட்டும்) திருப்பப்படுகின்றனர்?

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வின் (அத்தாட்சிகளாகிய அவனது) வசனங்களில் தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்பால்_அவர்கள் எவ்வாறு (சத்தியத்திலிருந்து) திருப்பப்படுகின்றனர் என்று நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா?

Do you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah, how can they be turned away?

Allatheena kaththaboo bialkitabi wabima arsalna bihi rusulana fasawfa yaAAlamoona

Those who deny the Book (this Qur'ân), and that with which We sent Our Messengers (i.e. to worship none but Allâh Alone sincerely, and to reject all false deities and to confess resurrection after the death for recompense) they will come to know (when they will be cast into the fire of Hell).

Those who deny the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know,

எவர்கள் (நம்முடைய) இந்த வேதத்தையும், நம்முடைய (மற்ற) தூதர்கள் கொண்டு வந்த (வேதத்)தையும் பொய்யாக்கு கின்றனரோ, அவர்கள் (பின்னர் அதனை உண்மை தானென்று) நிச்சயமாக அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

எவர் இவ்வேதத்தையும், நம்முடைய (மற்ற) தூதர்கள் கொண்டு வந்ததையும் பொய்ப்பிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் விரைவிலேயே (உண்மையை) அறிவார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், (நம்முடைய) இவ் வேதத்தையும், இன்னும், எ(வ்வேதத்)தைக் கொண்டு நமது தூதர்களை நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோமோ, அதையும் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள், ஆகவே (விரைவில் அதன் பலனை) அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

those who reject the Book and what We sent Our messengers with. They will soon come to know,

Ithi alaghlalu fee aAAnaqihim waalssalasilu yushaboona

When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along,

When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged

அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துக்களில் விலங்கிட்டு, சங்கிலிகளால் கட்டப்பட்டு (வேதனை செய்ய) இழுத்துக்கொண்டு போகப் படுவார்கள்.

அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளில் மோவாய்க்கட்டைகள் வரை அரிகண்டங்களுடன் விலங்குகளுடனும் இழுத்துக் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டு;

அவர்களின் கழுத்துக்களில் வளையங்களாலும், சங்கிலிகளாலும் (கட்டப்பட்டு மலக்குகளால்) அவர்கள் இழுத்து வரப்படும் போது_(அதனை அறிவார்கள்).

when the shackles will be around their necks, and with chains they will be dragged

Fee alhameemi thumma fee alnnari yusjaroona

In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire.

In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be filled [with flame].

(அவர்கள்) முதலில் கொதிக்கும் நீரின் பக்கமும், பின்னர் நரகத்திற்கும் (கொண்டு போகப்பட்டு, அதில்) எரிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

கொதிக்கும் நீரிலும், பிறகு (நரக)த் தீயிலும் கரிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

கொதிக்கும் நீரில், பின்னர், நரகத்தில் (அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து தீ) மூட்டப்படுவார்கள்.

into the scalding water, then they will be burned in the Fire.

Thumma qeela lahum ayna ma kuntum tushrikoona

Then it will be said to them: "Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners –

Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship]

பின்னர் அவர்களை நோக்கி "(அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) இணையென்று நீங்கள் கூறிக்கொண்டிருந்த அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவை எங்கே?" என்று கேட்கப்படும்.

பிறகு அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லப்படும்: “(அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி,) நீங்கள் (அவனுக்கு) இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவை எங்கே?” என்று.

பின்னர், அவர்களிடமே நீங்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) இணை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவை எங்கே? என்று கேட்கப்படும்.

Then it will be said to them, “Where are those whom you used to associate as partners

Min dooni Allahi qaloo dalloo AAanna bal lam nakun nadAAoo min qablu shayan kathalika yudillu Allahu alkafireena

"Besides Allâh"? They will say: "They have vanished from us. Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allâh leads astray the disbelievers.

Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers.

அதற்கவர்கள், "அவைகளெல்லாம் எங்களை விட்டும் மறைந்துவிட்டன. இதற்கு முன்னர் நாம் (அல்லாஹ் அல்லாத) யாதொன்றையுமே அழைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லையே!" என்று (பொய்) கூறுவார்கள். இவ்வாறு நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு(ப் புத்தி) தடுமாறும்படி அல்லாஹ் செய்துவிடுவான்.

“அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி” (நீங்கள் இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவை எங்கே என்று கேட்கப்பட்டதும்): “அவை எங்களை விட்டும் மறைந்து விட்டன; அன்றியும் முன்னர் நாங்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர எதையும்) அழைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லையே!” என்று கூறுவார்கள். இவ்வாறுதான் காஃபிர்களை அல்லாஹ் வழி கெடச் செய்கிறான்.

அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி (நீங்கள் இணை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவை எங்கே? எனக் கேட்கப்படும், அதற்கு) “எங்களை விட்டும் அவை மறைந்து விட்டன, எனினும் இதற்கு முன்னர் நாங்கள் (அல்லாஹ் அல்லாத) யாதொன்றையும் (ஆண்டவனென) அழைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லையே” என்று (பொய்) கூறுவார்கள். இவ்வாறு நிராகரிப்போரை அல்லாஹ் வழிகெடச் செய்கிறான்.

with Allah?” They will say, “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anything before.” This is how Allah causes the disbelievers to stray.

Thalikum bima kuntum tafrahoona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi wabima kuntum tamrahoona

That was because you had been exulting in the earth without any right (by worshipping others instead of Allâh and by committing crimes), and that you used to rejoice extremely (in your error).

[The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently.

(பின்னர் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "பூமியில் நீங்கள் செய்த உண்மையற்றதைக் கொண்டு அளவுகடந்து சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் கொண்டு இருந்ததாலும், இறுமாப்போடு இருந்ததாலும் இதுவே உங்களுக்கு (தகுமான கூலியாகும்)" என்றும்,

“இது, நீங்கள் பூமியில் நியாயமின்றிப் (பெருமையடித்து) மகிழ்ந்து பூரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களே (அதற்கான தண்டனையாகும்).

(பின்னர் அவர்களிடம்,) “அ(வ்வாறு வழி கெடுத்த)து நீங்கள் பூமியில் நியாயமின்றி (அளவு கடந்து) மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தவர்களாக இருந்ததன் காரணமாகவும், இறுமாப்புக் கொண்டவர்களாக இருந்ததன் காரணத்தினாலுமாகும்” (என்றும்),

[They will be told], “This is because you used to rejoice on earth wrongfully, and you used to exult [arrogantly].

Odkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha fabisa mathwa almutakabbireena

Enter the gates of Hell to abide therein, and (indeed) what an evil abode of the arrogant!

Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant."

"நீங்கள் நரகத்தின் வாயில்களில் நுழையுங்கள். அதில் என்றென்றும் தங்கி விடுங்கள்" (என்றும் கூறப்படும்). கர்வம் கொண்ட இவர்கள் தங்குமிடம் மிகக் கெட்டது.

“நீங்கள் நரகத்தின் வாயில்களுள் அதில் என்றென்றும் தங்குபவர்களாக - பிரவேசியுங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்). எனவே, பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்களின் தங்குமிடம் மிகவும் கெட்டது.

“நரகத்தின் வாயல்களில் நுழையுங்கள், அ(ந்நரகத்)தில் நிரந்தரமக(த்தங்கி) இருப்பவர்களாக நீங்கள் இருக்கும் நிலையில்,“ (என்றும் கூறப்படும்), எனவே, பெருமையடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்களின் ஒதுங்குமிடம் மிகக் கெட்டது.

Enter the gates of Hell, abiding therein forever. Terrible is indeed the abode of the arrogant!”

Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun faimma nuriyannaka baAAda allathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka failayna yurjaAAoona

So be patient (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), verily, the Promise of Allâh is true and whether We show you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] in this world) some part of what We have promised them, or We cause you to die, then still it is to Us they all shall be returned.

So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் பொறுமையுடன் உறுதியாக இருங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானது. அவர்களுக்கு பயமுறுத்தப்பட்ட வேதனைகளில் சிலவற்றை (உங்களது வாழ்நாளில்) நாம் உங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்தாலும் சரி அல்லது (அவை வருவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே) நாம் உங்களைக் கைப்பற்றி (நீங்கள் இறந்து) விட்டாலும் சரி (எவ்விதத்திலும்,) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நம்மிடமே கொண்டு வரப்படுவார்கள்.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீர் பொறுமையுடன் இருப்பீராக; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானது; அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட சிலவற்றை, நாம் உமக்குக் காண்பித்தாலும் அல்லது அதற்கு முன்னரே நிச்சயமாக நாம் உம்மை மரணமடையச் செய்தாலும், அவர்கள் நம்மிடமே கொண்டுவரப்படுவார்கள்.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீர் பொறுமையுடன் (உறுதியாக) இருப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்கு உண்மையானதாகும், ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட சிலவற்றை நாம் உமக்குக் காண்பித்தாலும், அல்லது (அதற்கு முன்) நாம் உம்மை மரணிக்கச் செய்தாலும் (இரு நிலையிலும்) அவர்கள் பின்னர், நம்மிடமே திருப்பிக்கொண்டு வரப்படுவார்கள்.

So be patient [O Prophet]. Allah’s promise is true; whether We show you some of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die [before that], to Us they will be returned.

Walaqad arsalna rusulan min qablika minhum man qasasna AAalayka waminhum man lam naqsus AAalayka wama kana lirasoolin an yatiya biayatin illa biithni Allahi faitha jaa amru Allahi qudiya bialhaqqi wakhasira hunalika almubtiloona

And, indeed We have sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), of some of them We have related to you their story. And of some We have not related to you their story, and it was not given to any Messenger that he should bring a sign except by the Leave of Allâh. But, when comes the Commandment (i.e., the torment) of Allâh, the matter will be decided with truth, and the followers of falsehood will then lose (everything).

And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all].

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களுக்கு முன்னர் தூதர்கள் பலரை அனுப்பியிருக்கின்றோம். அவர்களில் சிலருடைய சரித்திரத்தையே நாம் உங்களுக்குக் கூறியிருக்கின்றோம். அவர்களில் பலருடைய சரித்திரத்தை நாம் உங்களுக்குக் கூறவில்லை. (இவ்விரு வகுப்பாரில்) எந்தத் தூதராயினும் சரி, அல்லாஹ்வினுடைய அனுமதியின்றி யாதொரு அத்தாட்சியைக் கொண்டு வருவது அவருக்குச் சாத்தியமானதல்ல. அல்லாஹ் வுடைய கட்டளை வரும் சமயத்தில் (அவர்களுக்கு) நியாயமாகவே தீர்ப்பளிக்கப்படும். அதனைப் பொய்யாக்கியவர்கள் அந்நேரத்தில் நஷ்டத்திற்கு உள்ளாவார்கள்.

திட்டமாக நாம் உமக்கு முன்னர் தூதர்களை அனுப்பியிருக்கின்றோம்; அவர்களில் சிலருடைய வரலாற்றை உமக்குக் கூறியுள்ளோம்; இன்னும் எவர்களுடைய வரலாற்றை உமக்குக் கூறவில்லையோ (அவர்களும்) அத்தூதர்களில் இருக்கின்றனர்; (இவ்விருசாராரில்) எந்தத் தூதரும் அல்லாஹ்வின் அனுமதியின்றி எந்த அத்தாட்சியையும் கொண்டு வருவதற்கு (அதிகாரமும்) இல்லை; ஆகவே அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளைவரும் போது, (அனைவருக்கும்) நியாயமாகத் தீர்ப்பளிக்கப்படும்; அன்றியும், அந்த இடத்தில் பொய்யர்கள் தாம் நஷ்டமடைவார்கள்.  

மேலும், (நபியே!) திட்டமாக, நாம் உமக்கு முன்னர் (பல) தூதர்களை அனுப்பி இருக்கின்றோம்; அவர்களில் சிலருடைய வரலாற்றை நாம் உமக்குக் கூறி இருக்கின்றோம்; இன்னும், அவர்களில் சிலருடைய வரலாற்றை நாம் உமக்குக் கூறவில்லை, (இவ்விரு சாராரில்) எந்தத் தூதருக்கும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அனுமதியின்றி யாதோர் அத்தாட்சியையும் அவர் கொண்டு வருவதற்கு (அதிகாரம்) இல்லை; ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளை வந்து விடுமானால் நீதியைக் கொண்டு தீர்ப்பளிக்கப்படும், மேலும், (அதனைப்) பொய்யாக்கியவர்கள் அந்த இடத்தில் நஷ்டமடைவார்கள்.

We have sent messengers before you; of them are some whose stories We have told you, and some We have not. It was not for a messenger to bring a sign except with Allah’s permission. But when the decree of Allah comes, judgment will be passed with justice, thereupon the people of falsehood will be in utter loss.

Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumu alanAAama litarkaboo minha waminha takuloona

Allâh, it is He Who has made cattle for you, that you may ride on some of them, and of some you eat.

It is Allah who made for you the grazing animals upon which you ride, and some of them you eat.

அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களுக்காக ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகங்களைப் படைத்திருக்கின்றான். (அவைகளில்) சிலவற்றின் மீது நீங்கள் சவாரி செய்கிறீர்கள்; சிலவற்றை நீங்கள் புசிக்கின்றீர்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்தான் கால் நடைகளை உங்களுக்காக உண்டாக்கியிருக்கிறான் - அவற்றில் சிலவற்றின் மீது நீங்கள் சவாரி செய்கிறீர்கள் - இன்னும் அவற்றி(ல் சிலவற்றி)லிருந்து நீங்கள் புசிக்கிறீர்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்_அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால் கால் நடைகளை உங்களுக்காக உண்டாக்கி இருக்கிறான், அவற்றில் (சிலவற்றின்மீது) நீங்கள் சவாரி செய்வதற்காக, இன்னும், அவைகளி(ல் சிலவற்றி)லிருந்து நீங்கள் புசிக்கிறீர்கள்.

Allah is the One Who made the livestock for you, so that you may ride some and eat others,

Walakum feeha manafiAAu walitablughoo AAalayha hajatan fee sudoorikum waAAalayha waAAala alfulki tuhmaloona

And you have (many other) benefits from them, and that you may reach by their means a desire that is in your breasts (i.e. carry your goods, loads), and on them and on ships you are carried.

And for you therein are [other] benefits and that you may realize upon them a need which is in your breasts; and upon them and upon ships you are carried.

அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு வேறு பல பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன. உங்கள் மனதிலுள்ள கோரிக்கைகளை நீங்கள் அடைவதற்காக அதன் மீதும் கப்பலின் மீதும், (பல இடங்களுக்கும்) நீங்கள் சுமந்துகொண்டு செல்லப்படுகின்றீர்கள்.

இன்னும், அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு (வேறு பல) பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன; மேலும் உங்கள் உள்ளங்களிலுள்ள விருப்பங்களை அதனால் நீங்கள் நிறைவேற்றிக் கொள்ளும் பொருட்டு, அவற்றின் மீதும் கப்பல்கள் மீதும் நீங்கள் சுமந்து செல்லப்படுகிறீர்கள்.

இன்னும், அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு (வேறு பல) பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன; மேலும், உங்கள் நெஞ்சங்களிலுள்ள தேவையை அவற்றின் மூலம் நீங்கள் அடைந்து கொள்வதற்காகவும் (படைத்தான்); அவற்றின் மீதும், கப்பல்களின் மீதும் (பல பகுதிகளுக்கும்) நீங்கள் சுமந்து செல்லப் படுகிறீர்கள்.

and you may have other benefits from them, and by them you may fulfill your heartfelt need [to reach distant places], and on them and on the ships you are carried.

Wayureekum ayatihi faayya ayati Allahi tunkiroona

And He shows you His Ayât (signs and proofs) (of His Oneness in all the above-mentioned things). Which, then of the Ayât (signs and proofs) of Allâh do you deny?

And He shows you His signs. So which of the signs of Allah do you deny?

இன்னும், அவன் உங்களுக்குத் தன்னுடைய (கணக்கற்ற) அத்தாட்சிகளைக் காண்பிப்பான். அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அந்த அத்தாட்சிகளில் எதைத்தான் நீங்கள் நிராகரிப்பீர்கள்?

இன்னும், அவன் தன் அத்தாட்சிகளை உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கிறான்; ஆகவே அல்லாஹ்வின் அத்தாட்சிகளில் எதை நீங்கள் மறுப்பீர்கள்?

மேலும், அவன் உங்களுக்கு தன் அத்தாட்சிகளைக் காண்பிக்கிறான், ஆகவே அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் எதனை நீங்கள் நிராகரிக்கிறீர்கள்.

And He shows you His signs; so which of the signs of Allah will you deny?

Afalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo akthara minhum waashadda quwwatan waatharan fee alardi fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona

Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more in number than them and mightier in strength, and in the traces (they have left behind them) in the land; yet all that they used to earn availed them not.

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn.

(நிராகரிக்கும்) இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரிந்து பார்க்க வில்லையா? அவ்வாறாயின், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எவ்வாறாயிற்று என்பதைக் கண்டு கொள்வார்கள். அவர்களோ, இவர்களைவிட மக்கள் தொகையில் அதிகமானவர் களாகவும் பலத்தாலும், பூமியில் விட்டுச் சென்ற (பூர்வ) சின்னங்களாலும் மிகைத்தவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள். எனினும், அவர்கள் தேடி சேகரித்து வைத்திருந்தவைகளில் ஒன்றுமே அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கவில்லை.

இவர்கள் பூமியில் பிரயாணம் செய்து தங்களுக்கு முன்னர் இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படியிருந்தது என்பதைப் பார்க்க வில்லையா? அவர்கள் இவர்களை விட (எண்ணிக்கையில்) அதிகமாகவும், பலத்திலும், பூமியில் விட்டுச் சென்ற சின்னங்களிலும் மிகைத்தவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள் - எனினும், அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்தது (எதுவும்) அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கவில்லை.

இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரியவில்லையா? அப்போது அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படி இருந்தது என்பதை அவர்கள் பார்த்திருப்பர். அவர்களோ இவர்களை விட (எண்ணிக்கையால்) மிக அதிகமானவர்களாகவும், (உடல்களின்) பலத்தாலும், பூமியில் (விட்டுச் சென்ற) அடையாளச் சின்னங்களாலும் (மற்றவர்களைவிட) மிகக் கடினமானவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள், பின்னர் அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்(து வைத்)திருந்தது அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கவில்லை.

Have they not traveled through the land to see what was the end of those who came before them? They were more in number and far superior in strength, and more impressive in marks that they left behind in the land, but all what they had earned was of no avail to them.

Falamma jaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati farihoo bima AAindahum mina alAAilmi wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona

Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things). And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment).

And when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they [merely] rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

அவர்களிடம் நம்முடைய தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டு வந்த சமயத்தில் (அதனை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் பண்ணி நிராகரித்துவிட்டு, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கைச் சம்பந்தமாகத்) தங்களிடமுள்ள கல்வி (தொழில்) திறமைகளைப் பற்றிப் பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்திருந்தார்கள். எனினும், அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததுவே அவர்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது.

ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய தூதர்கள் அவர்களிடம் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் வந்த போது, அவர்கள் தங்களிடமிருந்த கல்வியைக் கொண்டு பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்திருந்தார்கள், எனினும், அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததுவே அவர்களை சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது.

எனவே, அவர்களுடைய தூதர்கள் அவர்களிடம் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டு வந்த சமயத்தில் (அதனை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்து நிராகரித்து விட்டு) கல்வியினால் தங்களிடமுள்ளதைக் கொண்டு பெரு மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்திருந்தார்கள், இன்னும், அவர்கள் எதைப் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அது அவர்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது.

When their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they exulted in whatever knowledge they had, and they were overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule.

Falamma raaw basana qaloo amanna biAllahi wahdahu wakafarna bima kunna bihi mushrikeena

So when they saw Our punishment, they said: "We believe in Allâh Alone and reject (all) that we used to associate with Him as (His) partners."

And when they saw Our punishment, they said," We believe in Allah alone and disbelieve in that which we used to associate with Him."

நம்முடைய வேதனையை அவர்கள் கண்ணால் கண்ட சமயத்தில் அவர்கள், "அல்லாஹ் ஒருவனையே நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு தாங்கள் இணை வைத்து வணங்கிய தெய்வங்களை நிராகரிக்கின்றோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

எனவே அவர்கள் நம்(கட்டளையால் உண்டான) வேதனையை கண்டபோது, “நாங்கள் அல்லாஹ் ஒருவன் மீதே ஈமான் கொள்கிறோம்; நாங்கள் (அவனுடன்) இணைவைத்தவற்றை நிராகரிக்கிறோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

பிறகு நம்முடைய வேதனையைக் (கண் கூடாக) கண்ட சமயத்தில், அவர்கள் “அல்லாஹ்வை அவன் தனித்தவன் என நாங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கின்றோம். நாங்கள் இணைவைக்கக்கூடியவர்களாக இருந்தவற்றை நாங்கள் நிராகரித்தும் விட்டோம்” எனக் கூறினார்கள்.

But when they saw Our punishment, they said, “We believe in Allah alone, and we reject what we used to associate with Him.”

Falam yaku yanfaAAuhum eemanuhum lamma raaw basana sunnata Allahi allatee qad khalat fee AAibadihi wakhasira hunalika alkafiroona

Then their Faith (in Islâmic Monotheism) could not avail them when they saw Our punishment. (Like) this has been the way of Allâh in dealing with His slaves. And there the disbelievers lost utterly (when Our torment covered them).

But never did their faith benefit them once they saw Our punishment. [It is] the established way of Allah which has preceded among His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost [all].

ஆயினும், நம்முடைய வேதனையைக் கண்ணால் கண்ட பின்னர், அவர்கள் கொண்ட நம்பிக்கை அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கவில்லை. இதுவே, அல்லாஹ்வினுடைய வழி. (இதற்கு முன்னரும்) அவனுடைய அடியார்களில் (இவ்வாறே) நிகழ்ந்திருக்கின்றது. ஆதலால், (வேதனை இறங்கிய) அந்த நேரத்தில் நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் நஷ்டத்தையே அடைந்தார்கள்.

ஆயினும், நம் (கட்டளையால் உண்டான) வேதனையைக் கண்டபோது, அவர்கள் கொண்ட நம்பிக்கை அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிக்கவில்லை. (இதுவே) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழியாகும்; அவனுடைய அடியார்களுக்கு (முன்னரும் இவ்வாறே) நிகழ்ந்திருக்கின்றது. ஆதலால், அந்நேரத்தில் காஃபிர்கள் நஷ்டத்தையே அடைந்தார்கள்.

ஆகவே, நம்முடைய வேதனையை அவர்கள் கண்டபோது, அவர்களின் விசுவாசம் அவர்களுக்குப் பயனளிப்பதாக இருக்கவில்லை,_(இதற்கு முன்னர்) அவனுடைய அடியார்களில் சென்றுவிட்டதே அத்தகைய அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழி முறையாக_(இது நடந்தேறியது) அவ்விடத்தில் நிராகரிப்போர் நஷ்டத்தையே அடைந்தார்கள்.

But their faith was of no benefit to them when they saw Our punishment. This has always been Allah’s way with His slaves; whereupon the disbelievers were in utter loss.
