Yaseen

Yâ-Sîn.[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

Ya, Seen.

யா ஸீன்.

யாஸீன்.

யாஸீன்.

Yā Sīn

Waalqurani alhakeemi

By the Qur'ân, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs),

By the wise Qur'an.

முற்றிலும் ஞானம் நிறைந்த இந்தக் குர்ஆன் மீது சத்தியமாக!

ஞானம் நிரம்பிய இக் குர்ஆன் மீது சத்தியமாக!

தீர்க்கமான (சட்டங்களையும் தெளிவான ஆதாரங்களையும் தன்னகத்தே கொண்டுள்ள) இந்த குர் ஆனின் மீது சத்தியமாக,

By the Qur’an, full of wisdom,

Innaka lamina almursaleena

Truly, you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) are one of the Messengers,

Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நம்முடைய தூதர்களில் ஒருவர்.

நிச்சயமாக, நீர் (நம்) தூதர்களில் உள்ளவராவீர்.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நீர் (நம்முடைய) தூதர்களில் உள்ளவராவீர்.

You [O Muhmmad] are indeed one of the messengers,

AAala siratin mustaqeemin

On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism).

On a straight path.

(நீங்கள்) நேரான வழியில் இருக்கின்றீர்கள்.

நேரான பாதை மீது (இருக்கின்றீர்).

(நீர்) நேரான வழியின் மீதிருக்கின்றீர்.

on a straight path,

Tanzeela alAAazeezi alrraheemi

(This is a Revelation) sent down by the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful,

[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

(இது) அனைவரையும் மிகைத்தவனும் கிருபை யுடையவனுமான அல்லாஹ்வால் அருளப்பட்டது.

(இது) யாவரையும் மிகைத்தோன், கிருபையுடையவனால் இறக்கி அருளப்பட்டதாகும்.

(இது யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையோனா(கிய அல்லாஹ்வினா)ல் இறக்கப்பட்டதாகும்.

[This is] a revelation from the All-Mighty, Most Merciful,

Litunthira qawman ma onthira abaohum fahum ghafiloona

In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.

That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.

(உங்களுடைய) இந்த மக்களின் மூதாதைகளுக்கு (யாதொரு தூதராலும்) எச்சரிக்கை செய்யப்படாததால் (மறுமையைப் பற்றி) முற்றிலும் கவலையற்று இருக்கின்றனர். இவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யுங்கள்.

எந்த சமூகத்தினரின் மூதாதையர்கள், எச்சரிக்கப்படாமையினால் இவர்கள் (நேர்வழி பற்றி) அலட்சியமாக இருக்கின்றார்களோ இ(த்தகைய)வர்களை நீர் எச்சரிப்பதற்காக.

தங்களின் மூதாதையர்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யப்படாத ஒரு சமூகத்தார்க்கு, நீர் எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதற்காக (இவ்வேதம் இறக்கியருளப்பட்டது), அவர்கள் (அலட்சியமாக) மறந்தவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.

so that you warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.

Laqad haqqa alqawlu AAala aktharihim fahum la yuminoona

Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe.

Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.

இவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் மீது (அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள் தாம் என்று இறைவனின்) கட்டளை நிச்சயமாக ஏற்பட்டு விட்டது. ஆதலால், அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள்.

இவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் மீது (இவர்களுக்கு வரவிருக்கும் வேதனை பற்றிய) வாக்கு நிச்சயமாக உண்மையாகிவிட்டது; ஆகவே இவர்கள் ஈமான் கொள்ளமாட்டார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக இவர்களில் அநேகர் மீது (அவர்களுக்கு வேதனை உண்டு என்ற அல்லாஹ்வின்) வாக்கு உண்மையாகிவிட்டது, ஆகவே, அவர்கள் விசுவாசங்கொள்ளமாட்டர்கள்.

The decree [of punishment] has been passed against most of them, for they will not believe.

Inna jaAAalna fee aAAnaqihim aghlalan fahiya ila alathqani fahum muqmahoona

Verily, We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to the chins, so that their heads are raised up.

Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளில் மேல்வாய் கட்டைகள் வரையில் விலங்குச் சங்கிலிகளைப் போட்டுவிட்டோம். ஆதலால், அவர்களுடைய தலைகள் (குனிய முடியாதவாறு) நிமிர்ந்து விட்டன.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளில் மோவாய்க் கட்டைகள் வரையில், அரிகண்டங்களைப் போட்டிருக்கின்றோம், ஆகவே அவர்கள் (குனிய முடியாதவாறு) தலை நிமிர்ந்து விட்டனர்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுடைய கழுத்துகளில் விலங்குச் சங்கிலிகளை ஆக்கிவிட்டோம், அவை மோவாய்க் கட்டைகள் வரையில் இருக்கின்றன. ஆகவே, (குனிய முடியாதவாறு) அவர்கள் தலை உயர்த்தப்பட்டவர்கள்.

[It is as if] We have placed shackles around their necks up to their chins, so their heads are forced to remain up,

WajaAAalna min bayni aydeehim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan faaghshaynahum fahum la yubsiroona

And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see.

And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.

அவர்களுக்கு முன்புறம் ஒரு சுவரும், பின்புறம் ஒரு சுவருமாக ஆக்கி நாம் அவர்களை மூடிவிட்டோம். ஆதலால், அவர்கள் (எதனையும்) பார்க்க முடியாது.

இன்னும் நாம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே ஒரு தடுப்பையும் அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னே ஒரு தடுப்பையும் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளோம்; (இவ்வாறாக) அவர்களை மூடிவிட்டோம் - ஆகையால் அவர்கள் பார்க்க முடியாது.

அவர்களுக்கு முன்னால் ஒரு தடுப்பையும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால் ஒரு தடுப்பையும் ஆக்கி விட்டோம், பின்னர், அவர்களை மூடிவிட்டோம், ஆதலால், அவர்கள் (எதனையும்) பார்க்க(ச்சக்திபெற) மாட்டார்கள்.

and We have placed a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have blocked their vision so they cannot see.

Wasawaon AAalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum la yuminoona

It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe.

And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.

அவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதும், எச்சரிக்கை செய்யாமலிருப்பதும் சமமே! அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்களை நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதும் அல்லது அவர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யாமலிருப்பதும் அவர்களுக்கு சமமே தான்; அவர்கள் ஈமான் கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.

அவர்களுக்கு நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதும், அல்லது அவர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யாமலிருப்பதும் அவர்களுக்குச் சமமே! ஆகவே, அவர்கள் விசுவாசங்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.

It is the same to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe.

Innama tunthiru mani ittabaAAa alththikra wakhashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi fabashshirhu bimaghfiratin waajrin kareemin

You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur'ân), and fears the Most Gracious (Allâh) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).

You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

நீங்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதெல்லாம், எவர்கள் நல்உபதேசத்தைப் பின்பற்றி, மறைவான காரியங்களிலும் (அல்லாஹ் வாகிய) ரஹ்மானுக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கின்றார்களோ அவர் களுக்குத்தான். ஆகவே, இத்தகையவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பைக் கொண்டும், கண்ணியமான கூலியைக் கொண்டும் நீங்கள் நற்செய்தி கூறுங்கள்.

நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதெல்லாம் உபதேசத்தைப் பின்பற்றி யார் மறைவாகவும் அர்ரஹ்மானுக்கு அஞ்சி நடக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களைத் தான்; அ(த்தகைய)வருக்கு மன்னிப்பும் மகத்தான நற்கூலியும் உண்டென்று நன்மாராயம் கூறுவீராக.

நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதெல்லாம், (குர் ஆனாகிய) நல்லுபதேசத்தைப் பின்பற்றி, மறைவில் அர்ரஹ்மானை அஞ்சுகின்றாரே அவருக்குத்தான். ஆகவே, அ(த்தகைய)வருக்கு மன்னிப்பைக் கொண்டும், கண்ணியமாக கூலியைக் கொண்டும் நீர் நன்மாரயாம் கூறுவீராக!

You can only warn one who follows the Reminder and fears the Most Compassionate unseen. So give him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward.

Inna nahnu nuhyee almawta wanaktubu ma qaddamoo waatharahum wakulla shayin ahsaynahu fee imamin mubeenin

Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book.

Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் மரணித்தவர்களை (மறுமையில்) உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்புவோம். அவர்கள் செய்து அனுப்பிய செயல் களையும், அவர்கள் விட்டுச் சென்ற காரியங்களையும் நாம் எழுதி வருகின்றோம். இவை ஒவ்வொன்றையும் "லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூளில்" (பதிவுப் புத்தகத்தில்) பதிந்தே வைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

நிச்சயமாக மரணமடைந்தவர்களை நாமே உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறோம்; அன்றியும் (நன்மை, தீமைகளில்) அவர்கள் முற்படுத்தியதையும், அவர்கள் விட்டுச் சென்றவற்றையும் நாம் எழுதுகிறோம்; எல்லாவற்றையும், நாம் ஒரு விளக்கமான ஏட்டில் பதிந்தே வைத்துள்ளோம்.  

நிச்சயமாக நாமே, மரணித்தோரை (மறுமையில்) உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறோம், அவர்கள் முற்படுத்தியவற்றையும், (அவர்கள் மரணித்த பின்னும் நன்மையைச் சேர்த்து வைக்கின்ற) அவர்களின் (நற்செயல்களான) அடிச்சுவடுகளையும் நாம் எழுதுகிறோம், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளை(ப்பற்றி)யும், (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள் என்னும்) தெளிவான ஏட்டில் அதைக்கணக்கெடுத்து (பதிந்து) வைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

It is We Who give life to the dead, and record what they send forth and what they leave behind, and We keep an account of everything in a clear Record.

Waidrib lahum mathalan ashaba alqaryati ith jaaha almursaloona

And put forward to them a similitude; the (story of the) Dwellers of the Town, [it is said that the town was Antioch (Antâkiya)], when there came Messengers to them.

And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -

(நபியே!) நம்முடைய தூதர்கள் சென்ற, ஓர் ஊர்வாசிகளை அவர்களுக்கு உதாரணமாகக் கூறுங்கள்.

(நபியே! நம்) தூதர்கள் ஓர் ஊர்வாசிகளிடம் வந்த(போது நிகழ்ந்த)தை அவர்களுக்கு உதாரணமாகச் சொல்வீராக.

இன்னும் (நபியே!) ஓர் ஊர்வாசிகளை _ அவ்வூராரிடம் (நம்மால்) அனுப்பப்பட்ட தூதர்கள் வந்த(போது நடந்த)தை _ உதாரணமாக அவர்களுக்குக் கூறுவீராக!

Give them an example of the People of the Town when the messengers came to it.

Ith arsalna ilayhimu ithnayni fakaththaboohuma faAAazzazna bithalithin faqaloo inna ilaykum mursaloona

When We sent to them two Messengers, they denied them both; so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: "Verily, we have been sent to you as Messengers."

When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."

நாம் அவர்களிடம் இரு தூதர்களை அனுப்பியபொழுது அவ்விருவரையும் அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள். ஆகவே மூன்றாவது தூதரைக் கொண்டு (அவ்விருவருக்கும்) உதவி செய்தோம். ஆகவே, இவர்கள் (மூவரும் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "மெய்யாகவே நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்ட இறைவனின் தூதர்களாவோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

நாம் அவர்களிடம் தூதர்கள் இருவரை அனுப்பியபோது, அவ்விருவரையும் அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள்; ஆகவே (அவர்களை) மூன்றாவது தூதரைக் கொண்டு வலுப்படுத்தினோம்; ஆகவே, “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்ட தூதர்கள் ஆவோம்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.

நாம் அவர்களிடம் இரு தூதர்களை அனுப்பியபோது, அவ்விருவரையும் அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள், ஆகவே, மூன்றாவது தூதரைக் கொண்டு (அவ்விருவரையும்) நாம் வலுப்படுத்தினோம், ஆகவே, இவர்கள் “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்ட (அல்லாஹ்வின் தூது)வர்களாவோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

When We sent them two [messengers], but they rejected them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, “We are sent to you as messengers.”

Qaloo ma antum illa basharun mithluna wama anzala alrrahmanu min shayin in antum illa takthiboona

They (people of the town) said: "You are only human beings like ourselves, and the Most Gracious (Allâh) has revealed nothing. You are only telling lies."

They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."

அதற்கவர்கள் "நீங்கள் எங்களைப் போன்ற மனிதர்களே! (தவிர இறைவனின் தூதர்களல்ல.) ரஹ்மான் (உங்கள் மீது வேதத்தில்) யாதொன்றையும் அருளவில்லை. நீங்கள் பொய் சொல்பவர்களே தவிர வேறில்லை" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

(அதற்கு அம்மக்கள்:) “நீங்களும் எங்களைப் போன்ற மனிதர்களேயன்றி வேறல்லர்; அர்ரஹ்மான் (உங்களுக்கு) எதனையும் இறக்கி வைக்கவில்லை. நீங்கள் பொய்யே கூறுகிறீர்களேயன்றி வேறில்லை” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “நீங்கள் எங்களைப் போன்ற மனிதர்களேயன்றி (வேறு) இல்லை, அர்ரஹ்மான் (உங்கள் மீது) யாதொன்றையும் இறக்கிவைக்கவுமில்லை, நீங்கள் பொய் சொல்கிறீர்களே தவிர வேறில்லை” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “You are no more than human beings like us, and the Most Compassionate has not sent down anything. You are simply lying.”

Qaloo rabbuna yaAAlamu inna ilaykum lamursaloona

The Messengers said: "Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you,

They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,

அதற்கவர்கள் "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்ட தூதர்கள்தாம் என்பதை எங்கள் இறைவனே நன்கறிவான்" என்றதுடன்,

(இதற்கு அவர்கள்:) “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளவர்கள் என்பதை எங்கள் இறைவன் நன்கறிவான்” என்று கூறினர்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களிடம் அனுப்பப்பட்ட (தூது)வர்கள்தாம் என்பதை எங்கள் இரட்சகனே நன்கறிவான்” என்று கூறினர்.

They said, “Our Lord knows that we are sent to you as messengers.

Wama AAalayna illa albalaghu almubeenu

"And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)."

And we are not responsible except for clear notification."

"எங்களுடைய தூதைப் பகிரங்கமாக எடுத்துரைப்பதையன்றி (உங்களை நிர்ப்பந்திப்பது ) எங்கள் மீது கடமையல்ல" என்றும் (கூறினார்கள்.)

“இன்னும், எங்கள் கடமை (இறைவனின் தூதுச் செய்தியை) விளக்கமாக எடுத்துச் சொல்வதைத் தவிர வேறில்லை” (என்றும் கூறினார்).

“மேலும், எங்கள் மீது (அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதைப்) பகிரங்கமாக எத்திவைப்பதைத் தவிர (வேறு கடமை) இல்லை” (என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.)

Our duty is only to convey the message clearly.”

Qaloo inna tatayyarna bikum lain lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minna AAathabun aleemun

They (people) said: "For us, we see an evil omen from you; if you cease not, we will surely stone you, and a painful torment will touch you from us."

They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."

அதற்கவர்கள் "நாங்கள் உங்கள் வருகையை நிச்சயமாக கெட்ட சகுனமாக நினைக்கின்றோம். நீங்கள் (இதிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளாவிடில் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களைக் கல்லெறிந்து கொன்று விடுவோம். அன்றி, எங்களுடைய துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையும் உங்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளும்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

(அதற்கு அம்மக்கள்:) கூறினார்கள்: “நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உங்களைத் துர்ச்சகுனமாகவே கருதுகின்றோம்; நீங்கள் (இதிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால் உங்களைத் திட்டமாகக் கல்லாலடிப்போம்; மேலும் எம்மிடமிருந்து உங்களை நோவினை செய்யும் வேதனையும் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளும்.”

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “நிச்சயமாக, நாங்கள் உங்களைத் துர்ச்சகுனமாகவே கருதுகின்றோம், நீங்கள் (இதிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளாவிடில், உங்களைத் திட்டமாக நாம் கல்லால் எறிவோம், அன்றியும், எம்மிடமிருந்து துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையும் உங்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளும்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

The people said, “We consider you as an evil omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and we will inflict upon you a painful punishment.”

Qaloo tairukum maAAakum ain thukkirtum bal antum qawmun musrifoona

They (Messengers) said: "Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it 'evil omen') because you are admonished? Nay, but you are a people Musrifûn (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allâh).

They said, "Your omen is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."

அதற்கு (நம் தூதர்கள்) "உங்களுடைய கெட்ட சகுனம் உங்களிடம்தான் இருக்கின்றது. உங்களுக்கு நல்லறிவைப் புகட்டிய தற்காகவா? (எங்களைக் கெட்ட சகுனம் என்று கூறுகிறீர்கள்). அது சரியன்று; நீங்கள்தாம் வரம்பு மீறிய மக்கள்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அ(தற்கு தூதனுப்பப்பட்ட)வர்கள் கூறினார்கள்: “உங்கள் துர்ச்சகுனம் உங்களிடத்தில் தான் இருக்கின்றது; உங்களுக்கு நற்போதனை செய்வதையா (துர்ச்சகுனமாகக் கருதுகிறீர்கள்?) அப்படியல்ல! நீங்கள் வரம்பு மீறிய சமூகத்தாராகவே இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

(அதற்கு நம் தூதர்கள்,) “உங்களுடைய துர்ச்சகுனம் உங்களுடன் தான் இருக்கின்றது, (எங்கள் மூலம் அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி) நீங்கள் (நற்போதனை செய்யப்பட்டு) நினைவூட்டப்பட்டீர்களானாலுமா? (துர்ச்சகுனமென்று கூறுவீர்கள்?) அவ்வாறல்ல! நீங்கள் வரம்பு மீறிய சமூகத்தார்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

The messengers said, “Your evil omen is with yourselves [because of your disbelief]. Is it because you are admonished? Rather, you are a people who transgress all bounds.”

Wajaa min aqsa almadeenati rajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAoo almursaleena

And there came a man running from the farthest part of the town. He said: "O my people! Obey the Messengers.

And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.

இதற்கிடையில் அப்பட்டிணத்தின் கடைக்கோடியிலிருந்து "(ஹபீபுந் நஜ்ஜார்" என்னும்) ஒரு மனிதர் விரைந்தோடி வந்து (அப்பட்டிணவாசிகளை நோக்கிக்) கூறியதாவது: "என்னுடைய மக்களே! நீங்கள் இத்தூதர்களைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்.

(அப்பொழுது) ஒரு மனிதர் அப்பட்டணத்தின் கடைக்கோடியிலிருந்து விரைந்து வந்து (அவர்களிடம்); “என் சமூகத்தவரே! நீங்கள் இத்தூதர்களைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

மேலும், அப்பட்டணத்தின் கடைக் கோடியிலிருந்து ஒரு மனிதர் விரைந்தோடி வந்து (அப்பட்டணவாசிகளிடம்) “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தார்களே! நீங்கள் இத்தூதர்களைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

A man came from the farthest end of the city, rushing, and said, “O my people, follow the messengers.

IttabiAAoo man la yasalukum ajran wahum muhtadoona

"Obey those who ask no wages of you (for themselves), and who are rightly guided.

Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.

உங்களிடம் யாதொரு கூலியையும் கேட்காத இவர்களை நீங்கள் (அவசியம்) பின்பற்றுங்கள். (அவர்கள் நேர்வழியைப் போதிப்பவர்கள் மாத்திரம் அன்றி) அவர்கள்தாம் நேர்வழி அடைந்தவர்கள்.

“உங்களிடம் ஒரு கூலியும் கேட்காத இவர்களை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள்; இன்னும் இவர்களே நேர்வழி பெற்றவர்கள்” (என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்).  

“உங்களிடம் யாதொரு கூலியையும் கேட்காதவர்(களான இத்தூதர்)களை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள், மேலும், (இவர்கள் நேர்வழி போதனை செய்பவர்கள் மட்டுமல்ல.) இவர்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வினால்) நேர்வழி பெற்றவர்கள்” (என்றும் கூறினார்).

Follow those who ask no recompense of you, and who are guided.

Wama liya la aAAbudu allathee fataranee wailayhi turjaAAoona

"And why should I not worship Him (Allâh Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned.

And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?

என்னைப் படைத்தவனை நான் வணங்காதிருக்க எனக்கென்ன (நேர்ந்தது? விசாரணைக்காக) அவனிடமே நீங்கள் திரும்ப கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்."

“அன்றியும், என்னைப்படைத்தவனை நான் வணங்காமலிருப்பதற்கு எனக்கென்ன (காரணமிருக்கிறது?) அவனிடமே நீங்கள் மீள்விக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

“என்னைப் படைத்தானே அத்தகையவனை நான் வணங்காதிருக்க எனகென்ன (இருக்கிறது) அவனிடமே நீங்கள் திரும்பக் கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்.”

Why should I not worship the One Who created me and to Whom you will all be brought back?

Aattakhithu min doonihi alihatan in yuridni alrrahmanu bidurrin la tughni AAannee shafaAAatuhum shayan wala yunqithooni

"Shall I take besides Him âlihah (gods)? If the Most Gracious (Allâh) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me.

Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?

அவனையன்றி, (மற்றெதனையும்) நான் இறைவனாக எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? ரஹ்மான் எனக்கு யாதொரு தீங்கிழைக்கக் கருதினால் இவைகளுடைய சிபாரிசு அதிலொன்றையும் என்னை விட்டுத் தடுத்துவிடாது. (அதிலிருந்து) என்னை இவைகளால் விடுவிக்கவும் முடியாது.

“அவனையன்றி வேறு நாயனை நான் எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனா? அர்ரஹ்மான் எனக்கு ஏதேனும் கெடுதியைக் கொண்டு நாடினால், இவற்றின் சிபாரிசு ஒரு பயனும் எனக்கு அளிக்காது. இவை என்னை விடுவிக்கவும் முடியா.

“அவனையன்றி வேறு வணங்கப்படுபவர்களை (என் வணக்கதிற்குரியவர்களாக) நான் எடுத்துக் கொள்வேனோ? அர்ரஹ்மான் யாதொரு இடரை எனக்கு நாடினால் இவர்களின் பரிந்துரை எதற்கும் எனக்குப் பயனளிக்காது, (அதிலிருந்து) என்னை இவர்கள் விடுவிக்கவும் மாட்டார்கள்.”

Should I take besides Him other gods whose intercession cannot avail me in the least, nor can they come to my rescue, if the Most Compassionate wills to harm me?

Innee ithan lafee dalalin mubeenin

"Then verily, I should be in plain error.

Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.

(அவன் ஒருவனையே நான் வணங்காவிட்டால்) நிச்சயமாக நான் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டில் சென்று விடுவேன்.

“(எனவே, நான் அவன் ஒருவனையே வணங்காவிட்டால்) அப்போது நான் நிச்சயமாக, வெளிப்படையான வழிகேட்டில் இருப்பேன்.

“ஆகவே, (அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர்த்து இவர்களை வணங்கினால்,) அப்போது நிச்சயமாக நான் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டில் இருப்பேன்.

Surely I would then be clearly misguided.

Innee amantu birabbikum faismaAAooni

"Verily, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!"

Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."

நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களைப் படைத்து வளர்ப்பவனையே நம்பிக்கை கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். (மற்றெவரையும் அன்று.) ஆதலால், நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிசாயுங்கள்" (என்று கூறினார்).

“உங்கள் இறைவன் மீதே நிச்சயமாக நான் ஈமான் கொண்டிருக்கின்றேன்; ஆகவே, நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிசாயுங்கள்.”

“நிச்சயமாக நான், உங்கள் இரட்சகனையே விசுவாசித்திருக்கிறேன், ஆதலால், நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிசாயுங்கள்” (என்று கூறினார்).

I believe in your Lord, so listen to me.”

Qeela odkhuli aljannata qala ya layta qawmee yaAAlamoona

It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew

It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know

(எனினும், மக்கள் அவருடைய நல்லுபதேசத்தைக் கேளாது அவரைக் கொலை செய்துவிட்டனர்! ஆகவே, அவரை நோக்கி) "நீங்கள் சுவனபதியில் நுழைவீராக!" எனக் கூறப்பட்டது.

(ஆனால், செவிசாய்க்காது அவரைக் கொன்றுவிட்டனர்.) “நீர் சுவர்க்கத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பீராக” என்று (அவரிடம்) கூறப்பட்டது. “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தார் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டுமே என்று கூறினார்.”

(எனினும், அச்சமூகத்தார் அவரைக் கொலை செய்துவிட்டனர், ஆகவே,) “நீர் சுவனபதியில் நுழைவீராக!” என (அவருக்கு)க் கூறப்பட்டது, (சுவனபதி நுழைந்த) அவர், “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தார் (எனக்குக் கிடைத்த இப்பாக்கியத்தை) அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டுமே” என்று கூறினார்.

[But they killed him], so he was told, “Enter Paradise.” He said, “If only my people knew

Bima ghafara lee rabbee wajaAAalanee mina almukrameena

"That my Lord (Allâh) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!"

Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."

(சுவனபதியில் நுழைந்த) அவர் "என் இறைவன் எனக்கு மன்னிப்பளித்து மிக்க கண்ணியமானவர்களில் ஒருவனாகவும் என்னை ஆக்கிவிட்டதை என்னுடைய மக்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டாமா?" என்று கூறினார்.

“என்னுடைய இறைவன் எனக்கு மன்னிப்பளித்து, கண்ணியமானவர்களில் நின்றும் அவன் என்னை ஆக்கிவிட்டான்” (என்பதை).

“என் இரட்சகன் என்னை மன்னித்து மிக்க கண்ணியமானவர்களில் ஒருவனாகவும் என்னை ஆக்கிவிட்டான்” என்பதை (அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளவேண்டுமே என்று கூறினார்).

of how my Lord has forgiven me, and made me among the honored ones.”

Wama anzalna AAala qawmihi min baAAdihi min jundin mina alssamai wama kunna munzileena

And We sent not against his people after him a host from the heaven, nor was it needful for Us to send (such a thing).

And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.

அ(வரைக் கொலை செய்த)தற்குப் பின்னர் அவருடைய மக்க(ளை அழிக்க அவர்)களுக்கு வானத்திலிருந்து யாதொரு படையையும் நாம் இறக்கி வைக்கவில்லை; அவ்வாறு செய்ய அவசியம் ஏற்படவுமில்லை.

தவிர, நாம் அவருக்குப் பின்னால் அவருடைய சமூகத்தார் மீது வானத்திலிருந்து எந்த சேனையையும் (அவர்களை அழிப்பதற்காக) இறக்கிவைக்கவில்லை; அப்படி இறக்கி வைப்பவராகவும் நாம் இல்லை.

மேலும், அ(வரைக் கொலை செய்த)தற்குப் பின்னர், அவருடைய சமூகத்தவர் மீது வானத்திலிருந்து (அவர்களை அழிக்க) யாதொரு படையையும் நாம் இறக்கிவைக்கவில்லை, (அவ்வாறு) இறக்கிவைப்பவர்களாகவும் நாம் இல்லை.

After his death, We did not send down any soldiers from the heaven against his people, nor did We have to do so.

In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum khamidoona

It was but one Saihah (shout) and lo! they (all) were still (silent, dead, destroyed).

It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.

ஒரே ஒரு சப்தம்தான் ஏற்பட்டது. உடனே அவர்கள் அனைவரும் (அழிந்து) சாம்பலாகி விட்டார்கள்.

ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலி! (அவ்வளவு)தான்! அவர்கள் சாம்பலாயினர்.

(அவர்களின் அழிவு) ஒரே ஒரு பயங்கர சப்தத்தைத் தவிர வேறு இல்லை, அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் நூர்ந்து (சாம்பலாகி)விட்டவர்கள் ஆயினர்.

It was no more than a single blast, and immediately they were extinguished.

Ya hasratan AAala alAAibadi ma yateehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzioona

Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him.

How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.

அந்தோ! (என் அடியார்களே! என்) அடியார்களைப் பற்றிய துக்கமே! அவர்களிடம் நம்முடைய எந்தத் தூதர் வந்தபோதிலும் அவர்கள் அவரைப் பரிகாசம் செய்யாமல் இருப்பதில்லை.

அந்தோ! அடியார்கள் மீது கைசேதமே! அவர்களிடம் எந்தத்தூதர் வந்தாலும், அவரை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்யாதிருந்ததில்லை.

அடியார்கள் மீதுள்ள கைசேதமே! அவர்களிடம் எந்தத்தூதரும் _அவரை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டவர்களாக இருந்தேயல்லாது வருவதில்லை.

Alas for the humans! No messenger ever comes to them but they ridicule him.

Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona

Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them.

Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?

அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் எத்தனையோ கூட்டத்தினரை நாம் அழித்துவிட்டோம் என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனிக்க வேண்டாமா? அ(ழிந்து போன)வர்கள் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களிடம் திரும்பி வரவே மாட்டார்கள்.

“அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் எத்தனையோ தலைமுறைகளை நாம் அழித்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள், இவர்களிடம் திரும்பி வரவே மாட்டார்கள்” என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனிக்கவில்லையா?

“அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் எத்தனையோ தலை முறையினரை நாம் அழித்திருக்கிறோம், நிச்சயமாக (அழிந்துவிட்ட) அவர்கள் இவர்கள் பால் திரும்பமாட்டார்கள்” என்பதை அவர்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா?

Do they not see how many generations We destroyed before them who will never come back to them?

Wain kullun lamma jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona

And surely, all – everyone of them will be brought before Us.

And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.

அவர்கள் அனைவரும் நிச்சயமாக நம்மிடமே கொண்டு வரப்படுவார்கள்.

மேலும் அவர்கள் யாவரும் ஒன்று திரட்டப்பட்டு (விசாரணைக்கு) நம்மிடமே கொண்டுவரப்படுவர்.  

மேலும், அவர்கள் அனைவரும் (விசாரணைக்காக) ஒன்று திரட்டப்பட்டு நம்மிடம் முன்னிலைப்படுத்தப்படுபவர்களே தவிர வேறில்லை.

Yet all of them will be brought before Us.

Waayatun lahumu alardu almaytatu ahyaynaha waakhrajna minha habban faminhu yakuloona

And a sign for them is the dead land. We give it life, and We bring forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof.

And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.

இறந்து (பொட்டலாகிக்) கிடக்கும் (அவர்கள் வசித்திருந்த) பூமியும் இவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாகும். அதனை நாமே (மழையைக் கொண்டு) உயிர்ப்பித்து அதிலிருந்து தானியங்களை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றோம். அவற்றை இவர்கள் புசிக்கின்றார்கள்.

அன்றியம், இறந்து (தரிசாகக்)கிடக்கும் பூமி அவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாகும்; (பின்னர் மழையினால்) அதனை நாமே உயிர்ப்பித்து, அதிலிருந்து தானியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றோம்; அதிலிருந்துதான் இவர்கள் உண்கிறார்கள்.

இறந்த (பொட்டலான) பூமியும் இவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாகும், அதனை நாம் (மழையைக் கொண்டு) உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறோம், இன்னும், அதிலிருந்து தானியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றோம், அப்போது அதிலிருந்து(தான்) அவர்கள் உண்ணுகின்றார்கள்.

There is a sign for them in the dead land: We give it life and produce from it grain for them to eat.

WajaAAalna feeha jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin wafajjarna feeha mina alAAuyooni

And We have made therein gardens of date palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein.

And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -

அன்றி, அதில் பேரீச்சை, திராட்சை சோலைகளை அமைத்து அதன் மத்தியில் நீரூற்றுக்களை பீறிட்டு ஓடச் செய்கின்றோம்.

மேலும், அதில் நாம் பேரீத்த மரங்களினாலும், திராட்டசை(க் கொடி)களினாலும் தோட்டங்களை உண்டாக்குகிறோம்; இன்னும் அதில் நீரூற்றுக்களைப் பீறிட்டு ஓடச்செய்கின்றோம்.

இன்னும், அதில் நாம் பேரீச்சை, திராட்சைகளிலிருந்து தோட்டங்களை அமைத்தோம், அதில் நீரூற்றுகளைப் பீறிட்டு ஓடவும் செய்கின்றோம்.

And We have made therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines, and caused springs to gush forth,

Liyakuloo min thamarihi wama AAamilathu aydeehim afala yashkuroona

So that they may eat of the fruit thereof – and their hands made it not. Will they not then give thanks?

That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?

இவர்கள் புசிப்பதற்காக கனி வர்க்கங்களை (நாம் உற்பத்தி செய்கின்றோமேயன்றி) இவர்களுடைய கைகள் செய்வதில்லை. (இதற்குக் கூட) இவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்த மாட்டார்களா?

அதன் பழவகைகளை அவர்கள் உண்பதற்காக; ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய கைகள் இதை உண்டாக்கவில்லை - ஆகவே அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தமாட்டார்களா?

அதன் கனி(வர்க்கங்)களிலிருந்து அவர்கள் உண்ணுவதற்காக (இவைகளைப் படைத்தோம்), அவர்களுடைய கைகள் அதைச் செய்யவில்லை, ஆகவே அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தமாட்டார்களா?

so that they may eat of its fruit that was not made by their hands. Will they not then give thanks?

Subhana allathee khalaqa alazwaja kullaha mimma tunbitu alardu wamin anfusihim wamimma la yaAAlamoona

Glorified is He Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not.

Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.

இவர்களையும், பூமியில் முளைக்கும் புற்பூண்டுகளையும் ஜோடி ஜோடியாகப் படைத்து இவர்கள் (இதுவரையில்) அறியாத மற்றவைகளையும் படைப்பவன் மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன்.

பூமி முளைப்பிக்கின்ற (புற்பூண்டுகள்) எல்லாவற்றையும், (மனிதர்களாகிய) இவர்களையும், இவர்கள் அறியாதவற்றையும் ஜோடி ஜோடியாகப் படைத்தானே அவன் மிகவும் தூய்மையானவன்.

பூமி முளைப்பித்தவற்றிலிருந்தும், (மனிதர்களாகிய) அவர்கள் தம்மிலிருந்தும், அவர்கள் அறியாதவற்றிலிருந்தும் ஜோடிகளை_அவை ஒவ்வொன்றையும் படைத்தானே அவன் மிகத் தூய்மையானவன்.

Glory be to the One Who created all types of things that the earth produces, and of themselves, and of things that they have no knowledge about.

Waayatun lahumu allaylu naslakhu minhu alnnahara faitha hum muthlimoona

And a sign for them is the night. We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness.

And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.

இரவும் இவர்களுக்கோர் அத்தாட்சியாகும். அதிலிருந்தே நாம் பகலை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றோம். இல்லையென்றால் இவர்கள் இருளில்தான் தங்கிவிடுவார்கள்.

இரவும் இவர்களுக்கோர் அத்தாட்சியாகும்; அதிலிருந்து பகலை கழற்றி விடுகிறோம்; அதனால் இவர்கள் ஆழ்ந்த இருளிலாகிவிடுகிறார்கள்.

இரவும் அவர்களுக்கோர் அத்தாட்சியாகும், அதிலிருந்து பகலை நாம் கழற்றுகின்றோம், அப்போது இவர்கள் இருளில் ஆகிவிடுகிறார்கள்.

There is another sign for them in the night: We strip from it the daylight, and they are left in darkness.

Waalshshamsu tajree limustaqarrin laha thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi

And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.

And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

தன்னுடைய வரையறைக்குள் (தவறாமல்) செல்லும் சூரியனும் (ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாகும்). இது அனைவரையும் நன்கறிந்தவனும் மிகைத்தவனுமால் அமைக்கப்பட்டது.

இன்னும் (அவர்களுக்கு அத்தாட்சி) சூரியன் தன் வரையரைக்குள் அது சென்று கொண்டிருக்கிறது; இது யாவரையும் மிகைத்தோனும், யாவற்றையும் நன்கறிந்தோனுமாகிய (இறை)வன் விதித்ததாகும்.

சூரியனும் அதற்குரிய தங்குமிடத்தின்பால் அது சென்று கொண்டிருக்கிறது, இது (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், நன்கறிந்தவன் ஏற்படுத்தியதாகும்.

The sun is running to its determined course. That is the design of the All-Mighty, All-Knowing.

Waalqamara qaddarnahu manazila hatta AAada kaalAAurjooni alqadeemi

And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk.

And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.

(உலர்ந்து வளைந்த) பழைய பேரீச்ச மடலைப் போல் (பிறையாக) ஆகும் வரையில் சந்திரனுக்கு நாம் பல நிலைகளை ஏற்படுத்தி இருக்கின்றோம்.

இன்னும் (உலர்ந்த வளைந்த) பழைய பேரீத்த மட்டையைப் போலாகும் வரையில் சந்திரனுக்கு நாம் பல மன்ஸில்களை (தங்குமிடங்களை) ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கின்றோம்.

இன்னும், சந்திரனை_(உலர்ந்து வளைந்த) பழைய பேரீச்சங்குலையின் குச்சி போல் அது மீண்டுவிடும் வரையில், அதற்கு நாம் பல தங்குமிடங்களை ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கின்றோம்.

As for the moon, We have determined phases for it, until it becomes like an old palm stalk.

La alshshamsu yanbaghee laha an tudrika alqamara wala allaylu sabiqu alnnahari wakullun fee falakin yasbahoona

It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit.

It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.

சூரியன் சந்திரனை அணுக முடியாது. இரவு பகலை முந்த முடியாது. (இவ்வாறே நட்சத்திரங்கள்) ஒவ்வொன்றும் தன்னுடைய வட்டவரைக்குள் நீந்திச் செல்கின்றன.

சூரியன் சந்திரனை (நெருங்கிப்) பிடிக்க முடியாது; இரவு பகலை முந்தமுடியாது. இவ்வாறே எல்லாம் (தம்) வட்டவரைக்குள் நீந்திச் செல்கின்றன.

சூரியன்_அதற்குச் சந்திரனை (அணுகி)ப்பிடிக்கமுடியாது, இரவு, பகலை முந்தவும் முடியாது. (இவ்வாறே கிரகங்கள், நட்சத்திரங்கள்) ஒவ்வொன்றும் (தனது) வட்டத்துக்குள் நீந்திச் செல்கின்றன.

It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor for the night to outstrip the day. Each is floating in its own orbit.

Waayatun lahum anna hamalna thurriyyatahum fee alfulki almashhooni

And an آyah (sign) for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden ship [of Nûh (Noah)].

And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.

கப்பல் நிறைய மக்களை நாம் சுமந்து செல்வதும் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாகும்.

இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அத்தாட்சி, நாம் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளை நிறப்பப்பட்ட கப்பலில் ஏற்றிச் செல்வதில் உள்ளது.

இன்னும், நாம் அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியினரை, (சகலவற்றாலும்) நிரப்பப்பட்ட கப்பலில் நாம் ஏற்றி(ச் சுமந்து காப்பாற்றி)னோம் என்பதும் இவர்களுக்கு ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாகும்.

Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the loaded Ark,

Wakhalaqna lahum min mithlihi ma yarkaboona

And We have created for them of the like thereunto, on which they ride.

And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.

அவர்கள் ஏறிச் செல்ல அதைப்போன்ற (படகு போன்ற) வைகளையும் நாம் அவர்களுக்காகப் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் ஏறிச் செல்வதற்காக அதைப் போன்ற (பல்வேறு கலங்களை) நாம் அவர்களுக்காகப் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

அதைப் போன்று அவர்கள் ஏறிச் செல்கின்றவைகளையும் நாம் அவர்களுக்குப் படைத்திருகின்றோம்.

and We created for them similar things on which they ride.

Wain nasha nughriqhum fala sareekha lahum wala hum yunqathoona

And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help), nor will they be saved.

And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved

நாம் விரும்பினால் அவர்களை (கடலில்) மூழ்கடித்து விடுவோம். அச்சமயம் (அபயக் குரலில்) அவர்களை பாதுகாப்ப வர்கள் ஒருவரும் இருக்கமாட்டார். அவர்கள் விடுவிக்கப்படவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

அன்றியும் நாம் நாடினால் அவர்களை மூழ்கடித்து விடுவோம்; அப்பொழுது அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவோர் எவரும் இருக்க மாட்டார்; மேலும், அவர்கள் விடுவிக்கப்படவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

மேலும், நாம் நாடினால், அவர்களை(க் கடலில்) மூழ்கடித்துவிடுவோம், அதுசமயம் (அபயக் குரலிடும்) அவர்களைக் காப்பற்றுவோர் ஒருவருமிரார், அவர்கள் விடுவிக்கப்படவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

If We willed, We could drown them, then there would be no one to respond to their cry, nor could they be rescued,

Illa rahmatan minna wamataAAan ila heenin

Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while.

Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.

(இவ்வுலகில்) சிறிது காலம் அவர்களைச் சுகம் அனுபவிக்கும்படி விட்டு வைத்திருப்பதும் நம்முடைய அருள்தான்.

நம்முடைய கருணையினால் சிறிது காலம் அவர்கள் சுகிப்பதற்காக (விட்டு வைக்கப்பட்டாலன்றி),

என்றாலும் நம்மிடமிருந்துள்ள அருளால் (கடலிலும் கரையிலும் நாம் நடத்திச் செல்கிறோம்) இன்னும் ஒரு காலம் வரை அவர்கள் சுகமனுபவிப்பதற்காக (விட்டும் வைக்கிறோம்).

except by a mercy from Us, leaving them to enjoy for a while.

Waitha qeela lahumu ittaqoo ma bayna aydeekum wama khalfakum laAAallakum turhamoona

And when it is said to them: "Fear of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allâh's religion – Islâmic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allâh with righteous deeds)."

But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "

"உங்களுக்கு முன்னும், உங்களுக்குப் பின்னும் (இருக்கும் இம்மை மறுமையில்) உள்ள வேதனைகளுக்கு நீங்கள் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். (அதனால்) இறைவனின் கிருபையை நீங்கள் அடையலாம்" என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டால் (அதனை அவர்கள் பொருட்படுத்துவதில்லை.)

“இன்னும், நீங்கள் கிருபை செய்யப்பெறும் பொருட்டு, உங்களுக்குமுன் இருப்பதையும், உங்களுக்குப்பின் இருப்பதையும் அஞ்சி நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டாலும் -

“இன்னும், நீங்கள் கிருபைசெய்யப்படுவதற்காக, உங்களுக்காக முன் இருப்பதையும், உங்களுக்குப் பின் இருப்பதையும் நீங்கள் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டால் (அதனை அவர்கள் பொருட்படுத்துவதில்லை).

When it is said to them, “Beware of what is ahead of you and what is behind you, so that you may be shown mercy.”

Wama tateehim min ayatin min ayati rabbihim illa kanoo AAanha muAArideena

And never came an Ayâh from among the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it.

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.

அன்றி, அவர்களுடைய இறைவனின் அத்தாட்சிகளில் எது வந்தபோதிலும் அதனை அவர்கள் புறக்கணிக்காது இருப்பதும் இல்லை.

அவர்களுடைய இறைவனின் அத்தாட்சிகளில் எந்த ஓர் அத்தாட்சி அவர்களிடம் வந்தாலும் அதனை அவர்கள் புறக்கணிக்காமல் இருப்பதில்லை.

இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய இரட்சகனின் அத்தாட்சிகளில் எந்த ஓர் அத்தாட்சியும் அதனை அவர்கள் புறக்கணிக்கக் கூடியவர்களாக இருந்தே தவிர அவர்களிடம் வருவதில்லை.

No sign ever comes to them from their Lord except that they turn away from it.

Waitha qeela lahum anfiqoo mimma razaqakumu Allahu qala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo anutAAimu man law yashao Allahu atAAamahu in antum illa fee dalalin mubeenin

And when it is said to them: "Spend of that which Allâh has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allâh willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error."

And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."

அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்தவைகளில் (ஏழைகளுக்குத்) தானம் செய்யுங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டால் "அல்லாஹ் நாடினால் அவனே உணவு கொடுக்கக் கூடியவர்களுக்கு நாம் உணவு கொடுக்கலாமா? பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலேயே தவிர நீங்கள் இல்லை" என்றும் இந்த நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் (பரிகாசமாகக்) கூறுகின்றனர்.

“அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு அளித்திருப்பவற்றிலிருந்து நீங்கள் (அவன் பாதையில்) செலவு செய்யுங்கள்” என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறப்பட்டால், “அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் எவருக்கு அவன் உணவளித்திருப்பானோ, அவர்களுக்கு நாம் உணவளிப்போமா? நீங்கள் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலேயே இருக்கின்றீர்கள்” என்று நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களைப் பார்த்துக் கூறுகிறார்கள்.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்திருப்பவற்றிலிருந்து செலவு செய்யுங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறபட்டால், அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் எவர்களுக்கு அவன் உணவளித்துவிடுவானோ, அவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் உணவளிப்போமா? நீங்கள் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலன்றி வேறில்லை” என்று விசுவாசிகளிடம் நிராகரிப்போர் (பரிகாசமாகக்) கூறுகின்றனர்.

And when it is said to them, “Spend of what Allah has provided you with”, the disbelievers say to the believers, “Should we feed those whom Allah could feed if He willed? You are clearly misguided!”

Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena

And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?"

And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"

அன்றி, மெய்யாகவே நீங்கள் உண்மை சொல்பவர்களாக இருந்தால், (எங்களுக்கு வருமென நீங்கள் கூறும்) "தண்டனை எப்பொழுது வரும்?" என்றும் (பரிகாசமாகக்) கேட்கின்றனர்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள்: “நீங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருப்பின், (மறுமை பற்றிய) அந்த வாக்குறுதி எப்பொழுது வந்து சேரும்?” என்று.

“நீங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாக இருப்பின் (நீங்கள் கூறும் தண்டனை பற்றிய) அந்த வாக்குறுதி எப்பொழுது (வரும்)” என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்.

They say, “When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?”

Ma yanthuroona illa sayhatan wahidatan takhuthuhum wahum yakhissimoona

They await only but a single Saihah (shout) which will seize them while they are disputing!

They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.

ஒரே ஒரு சப்தத்தைத் தவிர வேறு எதையும் அவர்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை! (இதனைப் பற்றி பரிகாசமாக) அவர்கள் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பொழுதே அது அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளும்.

அவர்கள் ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலிக்காகக் காத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதைத் தவிர வேறில்லை; அவர்கள் வழக்காடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே அது அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளும்.

ஒரே ஒரு (பெரும்) சப்தத்தைத் தவிர (வேறு எதையும்) அவர்கள் எதிபார்(த்திரு)க்கவில்லை! (இதனை பற்றி) அவர்கள் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையில் அது அவர்களைப் பிடித்துகொள்ளும்.

They are not awaiting but a single Blast that will seize them while they are still disputing.

Fala yastateeAAoona tawsiyatan wala ila ahlihim yarjiAAoona

Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor will they return to their family.

And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.

அந்நேரத்தில் அவர்கள் மரண சாஸனம் கூறவோ அல்லது தங்கள் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் செல்லவோ முடியாமலாகி விடுவார்கள். (அதற்குள் அழிந்துவிடுவார்கள்.)

அப்போது அவர்கள் வஸிய்யத்து சொல்ல சக்தி பெறமாட்டார்கள்; தம் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் மீளவும் மாட்டார்கள்.  

அப்போது அவர்கள் (தங்களுக்குரிய சாதக, பாதகம் பற்றிய) மரணோபதேசம் கூற சக்தியும் பெறமாட்டார்கள், தங்கள் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் திரும்பிச் செல்லவும் மாட்டார்கள் (அதற்குள் அழிந்துவிடுவார்கள்).

Then they will not be able to make a will, nor will they be able to return to their households.

Wanufikha fee alssoori faitha hum mina alajdathi ila rabbihim yansiloona

And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold from the graves they will come out quickly to their Lord.

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

(மறுமுறை) "ஸþர்" ஊதப்பட்டால் உடனே அவர்கள் சமாதிகளிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டுத் தங்கள் இறைவனிடம் விரைவாக ஓடி வருவார்கள்.

மேலும், ஸூர் ஊதப்பட்டதும், உடனே அவர்கள் சமாதிகளிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டுத் தங்கள் இறைவனிடம் விரைவார்கள்.

மேலும், (ஸுர்எனும்) குழல் ஊதப்படும், உடனே அவர்கள் சமாதிகளிலிருந்து (வெளியேறி) தங்கள் இரட்சகன்பால் விரைந்து நடப்பார்கள்.

The Trumpet will be blown [again], and at once they will rush from their graves to their Lord.

Qaloo ya waylana man baAAathana min marqadina hatha ma waAAada alrrahmanu wasadaqa almursaloona

They will say: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them:) "This is what the Most Gracious (Allâh) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!"

They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."

அன்றி "எங்களுடைய துக்கமே! எங்களை நித்திரையில் இருந்து எழுப்பியவர்கள் யார்?" என்று கேட்பார்கள். (அதற்கு மலக்குகள் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "ரஹ்மான் (உங்களுக்கு) வாக்களித்ததும், நபிமார்கள் (உங்களுக்குக்) கூறிவந்த உண்மையும் இதுதான்" (என்று கூறுவார்கள்).

“எங்களுடைய துக்கமே! எங்கள் தூங்குமிடங்களிலிருந்து எங்களை எழுப்பியவர் யார்?” என்று அவர்கள் கேட்பார்கள்; அர்ரஹ்மான் வாக்களித்ததும், (அவனுடைய) தூதர்கள் உண்மையெனக் கூறியதும் இதுதான்” (என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்படும்).

(அந்நாளின் அமளியைக் கண்டு மதியிழந்து)” எங்களுடைய நாசமே! எங்களை, எங்கள் (சமாதிகளாகிய) தூங்குமிடங்களிலிருந்து எழுப்பியவர் யார்?” என்று கேட்பார்கள், (அதற்கு மலக்குகள் அவர்களிடம்) “அர்ரஹ்மான் (உங்களுக்கு) வாக்களித்ததும், தூதர்கள் (உங்களுக்கு) உண்மை (என எடுத்துக்) கூறியதும் இது தான் “ (என்று கூறுவார்கள்).

They will say, “Woe to us! Who has resurrected us from our resting place?” [They will be told,] “This is what the Most Compassionate promised, and the messengers told the truth.”

In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona

It will be but a single Saihah (shout), so behold they will all be brought up before Us!

It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.

அது ஒரே ஒரு சப்தத்தைத் தவிர வேறொன்றும் இருக்காது! அதற்குள்ளாக அவர்கள் அனைவரும் நம்மிடம் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டு விடுவார்கள்.

ஒரே ஒரு பேரொலி தவிர (வேறொன்றும்) இருக்காது; உடன், அவர்கள் யாவரும் நம்முன் கொண்டுவரப்படுவார்கள்.

அது ஒரே ஒரு (பெரும்) சப்தத்தைத் தவிர_(வேறொன்றுமாக) இருக்காது, அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அனைவரும் நம்மிடம் (ஒன்றுதிரட்டப்பட்டு கேள்வி கணக்கிற்காக) முன்னிலைப்படுத்தப்பட்டு விடுபவர்களாவர்.

It will only be a single Blast, and at once they will all be brought before Us.

Faalyawma la tuthlamu nafsun shayan wala tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona

This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do.

So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.

அந்நாளில் யாதொரு ஆத்மாவுக்கும் (அதன் நன்மையைக் குறைத்தோ பாவத்தை அதிகரித்தோ) அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது. அவர்கள் செய்தவைகளுக்கன்றி அவர்களுக்குக் கூலி கொடுக்கப்பட மாட்டாது.

அன்றியும், அந்நாளில் எந்த ஓர் ஆத்மாவுக்கும் ஏதும் அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது; இன்னும், நீங்கள் செய்தவற்றிற்கேயன்றி (வேறு எதற்கும்) கூலி கொடுக்கப்பட மாட்டீர்கள்.

எனவே, அந்நாளில், எந்த ஆத்மாவும் ஒரு சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது, இன்னும், நீங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவைகளுக்கன்றி (வேறு எதற்கும்) நீங்கள் கூலிகொடுக்கப்படமாட்டீர்கள்.

On that Day no soul will be wronged in the least, nor will you be recompensed except for what you used to do.

Inna ashaba aljannati alyawma fee shughulin fakihoona

Verily, the dwellers of Paradise, that Day, will be busy with joyful things.

Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -

அந்நாளில் நிச்சயமாக சுவனவாசிகள் சந்தோஷமாக காலம் கழித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

அந்நாளில், நிச்சயமாக சுவர்க்கவாசிகள் (தங்கள்) அலுவலில் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக சுவனவாசிகள் அந்நாளில் தங்கள் காரியத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியுடையோராக இருப்பர்.

Indeed, on that Day the people of Paradise will be busy enjoying themselves,

Hum waazwajuhum fee thilalin AAala alaraiki muttakioona

They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones.

They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.

அவர்களும் அவர்களுடைய மனைவிமார்களும் நிழலின் கீழ் கட்டில்களின் மேல் வெகு உல்லாசமாகச் சாய்ந்து (உட்கார்ந்து) கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்களும், அவர்களுடைய மனைவியரும் நிழல்களில் கட்டில்களின் மீது சாய்ந்தவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்களும், அவர்களுடைய மனைவியரும் நிழல்களில் (உள்ள) கட்டில்களின் மேல் (வெகு உல்லாசமாக) சாய்ந்தவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.

they and their spouses will be reclining on couches in the shade.

Lahum feeha fakihatun walahum ma yaddaAAoona

They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for.

For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

அதில் அவர்களுக்குப் பலவகைக் கனி வர்க்கங்களுடன் அவர்கள் கேட்பதெல்லாம் கிடைக்கும்.

அங்கே அவர்களுக்கு (பலவகைக்) கனி வகைகள் உண்டு; இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் வேண்டுவது கிடைக்கும்.

அதில் அவர்களுக்கு (விதவிதமான) கனிவர்க்கங்களுண்டு, இன்னும், அவர்கள் வேண்டுவன(யாவும்) அவர்களுக்குண்டு.

They will have therein fruits and all what they ask for.

Salamun qawlan min rabbin raheemin

(It will be said to them:) Salâm (peace be on you) – a Word from the Lord (Allâh), Most Merciful.

[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.

நிகரற்ற அன்புடைய இறைவனால் (இவர்களை நோக்கி) "ஈடேற்றம் உண்டாவதாகுக!" (என்று கூறப்படும்.)

“ஸலாமுன்” என்று, நிகரற்ற அன்புடையோனுமான இறைவனிடமிருந்து சொல்லுதல் உண்டு.

(அவர்களை நோக்கி) நிகரற்ற அன்புடைய இரட்சகனின் சொல்லாக_ “சாந்தி உண்டாகுக!” (என்று கூறுதல்) உண்டு.

“Peace”: a word from a Most Merciful Lord.

Waimtazoo alyawma ayyuha almujrimoona

(It will be said:) "And O you the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in Islâmic Monotheism, wicked evil ones)! Get you apart this Day (from the believers).

[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.

(மற்ற பாவிகளை நோக்கி) "குற்றவாளிகளே! இன்றைய தினம் நீங்கள் (நல்லவர்களிலிருந்து) பிரிந்து நில்லுங்கள்" (என்று கூறப்படும்).

அன்றியும்: “குற்றவாளிகளே! இன்று நீங்கள் (நல்லோரிலிருந்து) பிரிந்து நில்லுங்கள்” (என்று குற்றவாளிகளிடம் கூறப்படும்).

மேலும், “குற்றவாளிகளே! இன்றையத்தினம் நீங்கள் (நல்லோரிலிருந்து) பிரிந்து விடுங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

“Stand apart [from the believers] this Day, O wicked ones!

Alam aAAhad ilaykum ya banee adama an la taAAbudoo alshshaytana innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun

Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaitân (Satan)? Verily, he is a plain enemy to you.

Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -

"ஆதமுடைய சந்ததிகளே! நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானை வணங்கக்கூடாது என்றும் நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பகிரங்கமான எதிரி என்றும் நான் உங்களிடம் உறுதிமொழி வாங்க வில்லையா?

“ஆதமுடைய மக்களே! நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானை வணங்காதீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்ளுக்குப் பகிரங்கமான பகைவன்” என்று நான் உங்களிடம் உறுதிமொழி வாங்கவில்லையா?

“ஆதமுடைய மக்களே! நீங்கள் ஷைத்தானை வணங்காதீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களுக்குப் பகிரங்கமான விரோதி” என்று நான் உங்களிடம் உறுதி மொழி வாங்கவில்லையா?

Did I not command you, O children of Adam, not to worship Satan, for he is your sworn enemy,

Waani oAAbudoonee hatha siratun mustaqeemun

And that you should worship Me [Alone – Islâmic Monotheism, and set up not rivals, associate-gods with Me]. That is a Straight Path.

And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.

நீங்கள் என்னையே வணங்க வேண்டும். இதுதான் நேரான வழி (என்றும் நான் உங்களிடம் உறுதிமொழி வாங்கவில்லையா?)

“என்னையே நீங்கள் வணங்க வேண்டும்; இதுதான் நேரானவழி.

“என்னையே நீங்கள் வணங்குங்கள், இதுதான் நேரான வழியாகும் (என்றும் நான் உங்களிடம் உறுதி மொழி வாங்கவில்லையா?)

but to worship Me? This is a straight path.

Walaqad adalla minkum jibillan katheeran afalam takoonoo taAAqiloona

And indeed he (Satan) did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did you not then understand?

And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?

(அவ்வாறிருந்தும்) உங்களில் பெரும் தொகையினரை அவன் நிச்சயமாக வழி கெடுத்துவிட்டான். இதனை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

“அவ்வாறிருந்தும், நிச்சயமாக அவன் உங்களில் மிகுதமான மக்களை வழி கெடுத்து விட்டான். இதை நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளவில்லையா?

“உங்களில் பெருந்தொகையினரை அவன் நிச்சயமாக வழிகெடுத்தும்விட்டான், இதனை நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்பவர்களாக இருக்கவில்லையா?

He led great numbers of you astray. Did you not then have sense?

Hathihi jahannamu allatee kuntum tooAAadoona

This is Hell which you were promised!

This is the Hellfire which you were promised.

உங்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டு வந்த நரகம் இதுதான்.

“இதுதான் உங்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட ஜஹன்னம் (நரகம்) ஆகும்.

“இதுதான் நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தீர்களே அந்த நரகம்.

This is the Hell that you were promised.

Islawha alyawma bima kuntum takfuroona

Burn therein this Day, for that you used to disbelieve.

[Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."

இதனை நீங்கள் நிராகரித்ததன் காரணமாக இன்றைய தினம் இதில் நீங்கள் நுழைந்துவிடுங்கள்" (என்றும் கூறுவோம்).

“நீங்கள் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததனால் இன்று இதனுள் நுழையுங்கள்” (என்று குற்றவாளிகளிடம் கூறப்படும்).

“(இதனை) நீங்கள் நிராகரித்துக்கொண்டிருந்ததன் காரணமாக இன்றையத்தினம் இதில் நீங்கள் நுழைந்துவிடுங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

Burn in it Today for your disbelief.”

Alyawma nakhtimu AAala afwahihim watukallimuna aydeehim watashhadu arjuluhum bima kanoo yaksiboona

This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). (Tafsir At-Tabarî)

That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.

அன்றைய தினம் நாம் அவர்களுடைய வாய்களில் முத்திரையிட்டு அவர்களுடைய கைகளைப் பேசும்படி செய்வோம். அவர்கள் செய்துகொண்டிருந்த (பாவமான) காரியங்களைப் பற்றி அவர்களுடைய கால்களும் சாட்சி கூறும்.

அந்த நாளில் நாம் அவர்களின் வாய்களின் மீது முத்திரையிட்டு விடுவோம்; அன்றியும் அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது பற்றி அவர்களுடைய கைகள் நம்மிடம் பேசும்; அவர்களுடைய கால்களும் சாட்சி சொல்லும்.

இன்றையத் தினம் நாம் அவர்களுடைய வாய்களின் மீது முத்திரையிட்டுவிடுவோம், அன்றியும், அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவகளைப்பற்றி அவர்களுடைய கைகள் நம்மிடம் பேசும், அவர்களுடைய கால்களும் சாட்சி கூறும்.

Today We will seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify to all what they used to do.

Walaw nashao latamasna AAala aAAyunihim faistabaqoo alssirata faanna yubsiroona

And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see?

And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?

நாம் விரும்பினால் அவர்களுடைய கண்களின் பார்வையைப் போக்கி விடுவோம். (அச்சமயம் இவர்கள் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள) வழியைத் தேடி ஓடினால் எதைத்தான் பார்க்க முடியும்?

நாம் நாடியிருந்தால், நாம் அவர்களுடைய கண்களைப் போக்கியிருப்போம்; அப்பொழுது (அவர்கள் தப்பும்) வழிதேடி ஓடினால் அவர்கள் எதைப் பார்ப்பார்கள்?

மேலும், நாம் நாடியிருந்தால் அவர்களுடைய கண்களைப் போக்கி (குருடாக்கி)யிருப்போம், பின்னர் (தப்பித்துகொள்ளும்) வழியின்பால் (அதைக்கடக்க) முந்தியிருப்பார்கள், அப்போது (அவர்கள் உண்மைவழியை) எவ்வாறு பார்ப்பார்கள்?

If We willed, We could have taken away their sight, so they would rush to find their way, but then how could they see?

Walaw nashao lamasakhnahum AAala makanatihim fama istataAAoo mudiyyan wala yarjiAAoona

And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (into animals or lifeless objects) in their places. Then they would have been unable to go forward (move about) nor they could have turned back.

And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.

நாம் விரும்பினால் அவர்கள் உருவத்தையே மாற்றி அவர்கள் இருந்த இடத்திலேயே இருக்கும்படி (கல்லாகவோ நொண்டியாகவோ) ஆக்கி விடுவோம். அச்சமயம் அவர்களால் முன் செல்லவும் முடியாது; பின் செல்லவும் முடியாது.

அன்றியும், நாம் நாடியிருந்தால், அவர்களுடைய இடத்திலேயே அவர்களை உரு மாற்றியிருப்போம். அப்போது, அவர்கள் முன் செல்லவும் சக்தி பெறமாட்டார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்கள் மீளவும் மாட்டார்கள்.  

இன்னும், நாம் நாடியிருந்தால், அவர்கள் இருந்த இடத்திலேயே அவர்கள் உருவத்தை மாற்றி (கல்லாகவோ, மற்ற ஜடப் பொருளாகவோ ஆக்கி)யிருப்போம். அது சமயம், அவர்கள் முன் செல்லவும் சக்திபெறமாட்டார்கள், பின் திரும்பவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

And if We willed, We could have paralyzed them in their places, so they could neither move forward nor backward.

Waman nuAAammirhu nunakkishu fee alkhalqi afala yaAAqiloona

And he whom We grant long life – We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand?

And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?

நாம் எவரையும் அதிக நாள்கள் உயிருடன் வாழ்ந்திருக்கும் படி செய்தால் அவருடைய நிலைமையைத் தலைகீழாக்கி (சிறிய குழந்தையைப் போல் ஆக்கி) விடுகின்றோம். (இதனை) அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

மேலும், எவரை நாம் வயோதிகமாக்குகிறோமோ, அவருடைய நிலைமையைப் படைப்பில் (பலஹீனமான நிலைக்கு) மாற்றிவிடுகிறோம்; அவர்கள் (இதை) அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

எவரை நாம் (வயோதிகராக்கி) வயதை நீட்டிவிடுகிறோமோ அவரை, படைப்பில் (வாலிபத்திற்குப்பிறகு முதுமையும், பலத்திற்குப்பிறகு பலவீனத்தையும் கொடுத்து), தலைகீழாக மாற்றிவிடுகின்றோம் (இதனை) அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ள மாட்டார்களா?

Whomsoever We give a long life, We cause his strength to decline. Do they not then understand?

Wama AAallamnahu alshshiAAra wama yanbaghee lahu in huwa illa thikrun waquranun mubeenun

And We have not taught him (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) poetry, nor is it suitable for him. This is only a Reminder and a plain Qur'ân.

And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an

(நம்முடைய தூதராகிய) அவருக்கு நாம் கவி கூறக் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கவில்லை. அது அவருக்குத் தகுமானதும் அல்ல; இது (நன்மை தீமைகளைத்) தெளிவாக்கக்கூடிய குர்ஆனும் நல்லுபதேசத்தையும் தவிர வேறில்லை.

(நம்முடைய தூதராகிய) அவருக்கு நாம் கவிதை (இயற்றக்) கற்றுக் கொடுக்கவில்லை; அது அவருக்குத் தேவையானதும் அல்ல; இது நல்லுப தேசமும் தெளிவான குர்ஆனுமே தவிர வேறில்லை.

(நம்முடைய தூதராகிய) அவருக்கு நாம் கவிதையை (இயற்ற)க் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கவுமில்லை, அது அவருக்கு அவசியமானதுமல்ல, இது நல்லுபதேசமும் தெளிவான குர் ஆனுமே தவிர (வேறு) இல்லை.

We have not taught him poetry, nor is it fitting for him. This is only a Reminder and a clear Qur’an

Liyunthira man kana hayyan wayahiqqa alqawlu AAala alkafireena

That he or it (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] or the Qur'ân) may give warning to him who is living (a healthy minded – the believer), and that Word (charge) may be justified against the disbelievers (dead, as they reject the warnings).

To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.

(அன்றி, இது) உயிரோடு இருப்பவர்களுக்கு எச்சரிக்கை செய்து (மரணித்தவர்களை போன்ற) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் மீது தண்டனையை உறுதிப்படுத்துகின்றது.

(இது) உயிரோடிருப்பவர்களை அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறது. நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை உண்டு என்ற) வாக்கை உண்மையென உறுதிப் படுத்துகிறது.

அ(க்குர் ஆனான)து, உயிரோடு (_உண்மையை ஏற்று பொய்யை மறுக்கும் உள்ளத்துடன்) இருப்பவர்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதற்காகவும், நிராகரிப்போர் மீது (தண்டனையைப் பற்றிய) வாக்கை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும் (இறக்கப்பட்டது).

so that he may warn those who are truly alive and establish the argument against the disbelievers.

Awalam yaraw anna khalaqna lahum mimma AAamilat aydeena anAAaman fahum laha malikoona

Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created, the cattle, so that they are their owners.

Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?

நம்முடைய கரங்கள் செய்தவற்றிலிருந்து நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்காக கால்நடைகளை நாம் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம் என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனிக்கவில்லையா? இன்னும் அவர்கள் அவைகளுக்கு உரிமையாளர்களாக இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்காக நம்முடைய கைகள் செய்தவற்றிலிருந்து கால்நடைகளைப் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம் என்பதை அவர்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அவற்றின் மீது அவர்கள் உரிமை பாராட்டுகிறார்கள்.

நம்முடைய கைகள் செய்தவற்றிலிருந்து நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்காக (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் முதலிய) கால்நடைகளைப் படைத்திருக்கின்றோம் என்பதை அவர்கள் காணவில்லையா? பின்னர், அவர்கள் அவற்றுக்கு உரிமையாளர்களாக இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

Do they not see that We have created for them livestock made by Our Hands, and then they are their owners?

Wathallalnaha lahum faminha rakoobuhum waminha yakuloona

And We have subdued them to them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat.

And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.

அவைகளை அவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும்படிச் செய்து கொடுத்தோம். அவர்கள் (வாகனமாக) ஏறக்கூடியவைகளும் அவைகளில் இருக்கின்றன; புசிக்கக் கூடியவைகளும் அவைகளில் இருக்கின்றன.

மேலும், அவற்றை அவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்படியுமாறு செய்துள்ளோம்; ஆகவே, அவற்றில் சிலவற்றின் மீது அவர்கள் ஏறிச்சவாரி செய்வதும் இருக்கிறது; இன்னும் அவற்றிலிருந்து சிலவற்றைப் புசிக்கிறார்கள்.

அவைகளை, (இலகுவான முறையில்) அவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்படியும்படியும் நாம் செய்தோம், அவைகளில் அவர்கள் (வாகனமாக) ஏறக்கூடியவைகளும் இருக்கின்றன, அவர்கள் அவற்றிலிருந்து உண்ணவும் செய்கிறார்கள்.

And We have made them subservient to them; some they ride, and from others they eat,

Walahum feeha manafiAAu wamasharibu afala yashkuroona

And they have (other) benefits from them, and they get (milk) to drink. Will they not then be grateful?

And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?

அவர்கள் குடிக்கக்கூடிய (பால் போன்ற)வைகளும் இன்னும் பல பயன்களும் அவைகளில் இருக்கின்றன. (இவைகளுக் கெல்லாம்) அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்த வேண்டாமா?

மேலும், அவற்றிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு பயன்களும், பானங்களும் இருக்கின்றன, இவற்றுக்கெல்லாம் அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்த மாட்டார்களா?

இன்னும் அநேகபயன்களும், பானங்களும் அவர்களுக்கு அவைகளில் இருக்கின்றன, எனவே, அவர்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தமாட்டார்களா?

and there are other benefits and drinks therein for them. Will they not then give thanks?

Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan laAAallahum yunsaroona

And they have taken besides Allâh âlihah (gods), hoping that they might be helped (by those so-called gods).

But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.

எனினும், அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவைகளாலும் தங்களுக்கு உதவி கிடைக்குமென்று அவைகளை அவர்கள் தெய்வங்களாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்!

எனினும் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றையும் - தாங்கள் உதவி செய்யப்படும் பொருட்டு அவர்கள் தெய்வங்களாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி (அவற்றால்) தங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யப்படக்கூடும் என்பதற்காக, அவர்கள் (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு) தெய்வங்களை எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

Yet they have taken other gods besides Allah, hoping that they may be helped.

La yastateeAAoona nasrahum wahum lahum jundun muhdaroona

They cannot help them, but they will be brought forward as a troop against those who worshipped them (at the time of Reckoning).

They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.

அவைகளால் அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய முடியாது. ஆயினும், அவைகள் இவர்களுக்கு (எதிரிடையான) படையாகக் கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

ஆனால் அவை அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யும் சக்தி பெறவில்லை -ஆயினும் அவற்றையே இவர்களுக்கு (எதிரான) படையாகக் கொண்டுவரப்படும்.

(ஆனால்) அவர்கள், அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்யும் ஆற்றல் பெற மாட்டார்கள், (ஆயினும் மறுமையில்) அவர்கள் இவர்களுக்கு (எதிராகச் சாட்சிகூற) முன்னிலைப்படுத்தப்படும் படையினராவர்.

They cannot help them, yet they serve them as their dedicated guards.

Fala yahzunka qawluhum inna naAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoona

So, let not their speech then grieve you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]). Verily, We know what they conceal and what they reveal.

So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.

(நபியே! "நீங்கள் பொய்யர்" என) அவர்கள் உங்களைப் பற்றிக் கூறுவது உங்களைக் கவலைக்குள்ளாக்க வேண்டாம். நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்கள் (தங்கள் மனதில்) மறைத்துக் கொள்வதையும் (அதற்கு மாறாக) அவர்கள் வெளியிடுவதையும் நன்கறிவோம்.

(நபியே!) அவர்களுடைய பேச்சு உம்மை விசனப்படுத்த வேண்டியதில்லை. அவர்கள் (தங்கள் மனத்தில்) மறைப்பதையும் அவர்கள் பகிரங்கப்படுத்துவதையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

(நபியே! உமக்கு விரோதமாகக் கூறப்படும்) அவர்களுடைய கூற்று உம்மைக் கவலைக்குள்ளாக்க வேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (தங்கள் இதயங்களில்) மறைத்திருப்பதையும், அவர்கள் வெளிப்படுத்துவதையும் நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

Do not let their words grieve you. Surely We know what they conceal and what they reveal.

Awalam yara alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min nutfatin faitha huwa khaseemun mubeenun

Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge). Yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open opponent.

Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?

மனிதனை ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்தால்தான் நாம் படைத்தோம் என்பதை அவன் கவனிக்கவில்லையா? அவ்வாறிருந்தும் அவன் பகிரங்கமான எதிரியாகி (நமக்கு மாறுசெய்ய முற்பட்டு) விடுகின்றான்.

மனிதனை ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்திலிருந்து நாமே நிச்சயமாகப் படைத்தோம் என்பதை அவன் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அவ்வாறிருந்தும், அவன் (நமக்கு) வெளிப்படையான தர்க்க வாதியாகி விடுகிறான்.

மனிதன்_அவனை ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்திலிருந்து நிச்சயமாக நாம் படைத்தோம் என்பதை_அவன் பார்க்கவில்லையா? பின்னர் திடீரென அவன், பகிரங்கமாகத் தர்க்கிக்கக் கூடியவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Does man not see that We have created him from a sperm drop, then he becomes a clear adversary,

Wadaraba lana mathalan wanasiya khalqahu qala man yuhyee alAAithama wahiya rameemun

And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones after they are rotten and have become dust?"

And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"

(மரணித்தவர்களை உயிர்ப்பிக்க நம்மால் முடியாதென எண்ணிக்கொண்டு அவர்களில் ஒருவன்) ஓர் உதாரணத்தை நம்மிடம் எடுத்துக் காட்டுகின்றான். அவன் தன்னை படைத்த(து யார் என்ப)தை மறந்துவிட்டு "உக்கி மண்ணாகிப் போன இந்த எலும்பை உயிர்ப்பிப்பவன் யார்?" என்று (ஓர் எலும்பை எடுத்து அதனை தூளாக்கி ஊதிவிட்டு) அவன் கேட்கின்றான்.

மேலும், அவன் தன் படைப்பை (தான் படைக்கப்பட்டதெப்படி என்பதை) மறந்துவிட்டு, அவன் நமக்காக ஓர் உதாரணத்தையும் கூறுகின்றான்; “எலும்புகள் அவை மக்கிப் போய் விட்ட பின் அவற்றை உயிர்ப்பிப்பது யார்?” என்று.

மேலும், அவன் தன்னுடைய படைப்பை (தான் எவ்வாறு படைக்கப்பட்டான் என்பதை) மறந்துவிட்டு, ஓர் உதாரணத்தையும் நமக்காக அவன் கூறுகிறான், “எலும்புகளை, அவை மக்கிப்போன நிலையில் உயிரூட்டுபவன் யார்?” என்று அவன் கேட்கிறான்.

producing arguments against Us while forgetting his own creation. He says, “Who can give life to the bones after they have crumbled to dust?”

Qul yuhyeeha allathee anshaaha awwala marratin wahuwa bikulli khalqin AAaleemun

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "He will give life to them Who created them for the first time! And He is All-Knower of every creation!"

Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."

(நபியே!) அதற்கு நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "முதல் முறையில் அதனைப் படைத்தவன் எவனோ அவனே அதனை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான். அவனோ எல்லா படைப்பினத்தையும் மிக அறிந்தவன்.

“முதல் முதலில் அவற்றை உண்டு பண்ணியவனே (பின்னும்) அவற்றுக்கு உயிர் கொடுப்பான். அவன் எல்லாவகைப் படைப்புகளையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

(நபியே!) அதற்கு) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “முதன்முறையில் அதனைப்படைத்தானே அத்தகையவனே அதனை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான், அவன் ஒவ்வொரு படைப்பைப்பற்றியும் நன்கறிகிறவன்.”

Say, “The One Who created them in the first place will give life to them, for He has full knowledge of every created being;

Allathee jaAAala lakum mina alshshajari alakhdari naran faitha antum minhu tooqidoona

He Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! you kindle therewith.

[It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.

அன்றி, அவனே பசுமையான மரத்திலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு நெருப்பை உண்டு பண்ணுகிறான். பின்னர், அதனைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் (உங்களுக்கு வேண்டிய நெருப்பை) மூட்டிக் கொள்கின்றீர்கள்.

“பசுமையான மரத்திலிருந்து உங்களுக்காக நெருப்பை உண்டாக்குபவனும் அவனே; அதிலிருந்தே நீங்கள் (தீ) மூட்டுகிறீர்கள்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களுக்காக பசுமையான மரத்திலிருந்து நெருப்பை உண்டாக்கினான், அப்போது அதிலிருந்து நீங்கள் (நெருப்பை) மூட்டுகிறீர்கள்.

the One Who made for you fire out of the green tree, with which you kindle your fires.”

Awalaysa allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda biqadirin AAala an yakhluqa mithlahum bala wahuwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu

Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth, Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator.

Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்தவன் (கேவலம்) அவர்களைப் போன்றவர்களைப் படைக்கச் சக்தியற்றவனா? நிச்சயமாக அவனே மிகப்பெரிய படைப்பாளனும் மிக நன்கறிந்தவனும் ஆவான்.

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்தவன், அவர்களைப் போன்றவர்களைப் படைக்கச் சக்தியற்றவனா? ஆம் (சக்தியுள்ளவனே!) மெய்யாகவே, அவனே (பல வகைகளையும்) படைப்பவன்; யாவற்றையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்.

வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைத்தானே அத்தகையவன், அவர்களைப் போன்றதைப் படைக்கச் சக்திபெற்றவனாக இல்லையா? ஏன் இல்லை? (அவனே ஆற்றலுடையவன்.) நிச்சயமாக, அவனே மிகப் பெரும் படைப்பாளன், நன்கறிகிறவன்.

Is not the One Who created the heavens and earth able to create the like of these [people]? Yes indeed, for He is the Creator of all, the All-Knowing.

Innama amruhu itha arada shayan an yaqoola lahu kun fayakoonu

Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" – and it is!

His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.

அவன் யாதொரு பொருளை(ப் படைக்க)க் கருதினால் அதனை "ஆகுக!" எனக் கூறுவதுதான் (தாமதம்). உடன் அது ஆகிவிடுகின்றது.

எப்பொருளையேனும் அவன் (படைக்க) நாடினால், அதற்கு அவன் கட்டளையிடுவதெல்லாம்; “குன்” (ஆய்விடுக) என்று கூறுவதுதான்; உடனே அது ஆகிவிடுகிறது.

அவன் யாதொரு பொருளை(ப் படைக்க) நாடினால், அதற்கு அவன் கட்டளையிடுவதெல்லாம்” ஆகுக!” எனக் கூறுவதுதான் உடனே அது ஆகிவிடும்.

Whenever He wills something to be, He only says to it, “Be”, and it is.

Fasubhana allathee biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wailayhi turjaAAoona

So Glorified is He (and Exalted above all that they associate with Him) in Whose Hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you shall be returned.

So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.

சகலவற்றின் அதிகாரமும் எவனுடைய கையில் இருக்கின்றதோ அவன் மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன். அவனிடமே நீங்கள் திரும்பக் கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்.

ஆகவே, எல்லாப் பொருட்களின் ஆட்சியும் எவன் கையிலிருக்கிறதோ அவனே மிகத் தூய்மையானவன், அவனிடமே நீங்கள் மீள்விக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

ஆகவே, சகலவற்றின் அதிகாரம் (ஆட்சி) எவனுடைய கைவசம் இருக்கின்றதோ அத்தகையவனே மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானவன், மேலும் அவன்பாலே நீங்கள் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவரப்படுவீர்கள்.

So glory be to the One in Whose Hand is the dominion of everything, and to Him you will all be returned.
