35 - Fatir (The Creator) .

Alhamdu lillahi fatiri alssamawati waalardi jaAAili almalaikati rusulan olee ajnihatin mathna wathulatha warubaAAa yazeedu fee alkhalqi ma yashao inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

All praise and thanks are Allâh's, the (only) Originator [or the (Only) Creator] of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things.

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

எல்லாப் புகழும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே! வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் அவனே படைத்தான். மலக்குகளைத் தன்னுடைய தூதைக் கொண்டு போகிறவர்களாகவும் ஆக்கினான். அவர்கள் இரண்டிரண்டு, மும்மூன்று, நான்கு நான்கு இறக்கைகள் உடையவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். அவன் விரும்பியதைத் தன் படைப்பில் பின்னும் அதிகரிப்பான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தின் மீதும் ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

அல்ஹம்து லில்லாஹ் - எல்லாப் புகழும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே; வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைத்தவன்; இரண்டிரண்டும், மும்மூன்றும், நன்னான்கும் இறக்கை உள்ளவர்களாக மலக்குகளைத் தன் தூதை எடுத்துச் செல்வோராக ஆக்கினான்; தான் நாடியதைப் படைப்பிலே மிகுதப்படுத்துவான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப் பொருள்களின் மீதும் பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

அல்லாஹ்விற்கே எல்லாப் புகழும், அவன் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் ஆரம்பமாகப் படைத்தவன். இரண்டிரண்டும், மும்மூன்றும், நன்நான்கும் இறக்கைகளுடைய மலக்குகளைத் தூதர்களாக ஆக்கியவன், அவன் நாடியதை(த்தன்) படைப்பில் (பின்னும்) அதிகப்படுத்துவான், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையோன்.

All praise be to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and earth, Who made the angels messengers with two, three, or four wings. He increases in creation whatever He wills. Indeed, Allah is Most Capable of all things.

Ma yaftahi Allahu lilnnasi min rahmatin fala mumsika laha wama yumsik fala mursila lahu min baAAdihi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu

Whatever of mercy (i.e. of good), Allâh may grant to mankind, none can withhold it; and whatever He may withhold, none can grant it thereafter. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

அல்லாஹ் தன் அருளை மனிதர்களுக்குத் திறந்து விட்டால் அதனைத் தடுத்து விடக்கூடியவன் ஒருவனுமில்லை. அவன் (தன் அருளைத்) தடுத்துக்கொண்டால் அதனை அனுப்பக் கூடியவனும் ஒருவனுமில்லை. அவன் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.

மனிதர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் தன் ரஹ்மத்தில் (அருள் கொடையில்) இருந்து ஒன்றைத் திறப்பானாயின் அதைத் தடுப்பார் எவருமில்லை, அன்றியும் அவன் எதைத் தடுத்து விடுகிறானோ, அதன் பின், அதனை அனுப்பக் கூடியவரும் எவரும் இல்லை; மேலும் அவன் யாவரையும் மிகைத்தவன்; ஞானம் மிக்கவன்.

அல்லாஹ்(தன்) அருளிலிருந்து மனிதர்களுக்குத் திறந்து விட்டால், அதனைத் தடுத்துவிடக்கூடியவர் (ஒருவரும்) இல்லை. அவன் (தன் அருளைத்) தடுத்துக் கொண்டால் அதன் பின் அதனை அனுப்பக் கூடிய (ஒரு)வரும் இல்லை, இன்னும், அவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds, none can release it thereafter, for He is the All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Ya ayyuha alnnasu othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum hal min khaliqin ghayru Allahi yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi la ilaha illa huwa faanna tufakoona

O mankind! Remember the Grace of Allâh upon you! Is there any creator other than Allâh who provides for you from the sky (rain) and the earth? Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turning away (from Him)?

O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?

மனிதர்களே! உங்கள் மீதுள்ள அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருட்கொடையை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி வேறொரு படைப்பவன் இருக்கின்றானா? வானத்திலிருந்தும் பூமியிலிருந்தும் அவனே உங்களுக்கு உணவளிக்கின்றான். அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறொரு இறைவன் (இல்லவே) இல்லை. ஆகவே, (அவனை விட்டு) நீங்கள் எங்கு வெருண்டோடுகின்றீர்கள்?

மனிதர்களே! உங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் வழங்கியுள்ள பாக்கியங்களைச் சிந்தித்துப் பாருங்கள்; வானத்திலும், பூமியிலுமிருந்து உங்களுக்கு உணவளிப்பவன், அல்லாஹ்வை அன்றி (வேறு) படைப்பாளன் இருக்கின்றானா? அவனையன்றி வேறு நாயன் இல்லை; அவ்வாறிருக்க, (இவ்வுண்மையை விட்டும்) நீங்கள் எவ்வாறு திருப்பப்படுகிறீர்கள்.

மனிதர்களே! “உங்கள் மீதுள்ள அல்லாஹ்வின் அருட்கொடையை நினைத்துப்பாருங்கள், வானத்திலிருந்தும்; பூமியிலிருந்தும் உங்களுக்கு உணவளிப்பவன், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி வேறொரு படைக்கிறவன் இருக்கிறானா? அவனைத் தவிர வேறொரு(வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) நாயன் இல்லை, ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (அவனை விட்டு) எவ்வாறு திருப்பப்படுகிறீர்கள்?

O people, remember Allah’s favor upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who gives you provision from the heaven and earth? None has the right to be worshiped except Him. How can you then be deluded?

Wain yukaththibooka faqad kuththibat rusulun min qablika waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru

And if they deny you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), so were Messengers denied before you. And to Allâh return all matters (for decision).

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கினால் (அதற்காக நீங்கள் கவலைப்படாதீர்கள்.) இவ்வாறே உங்களுக்கு முன்னர் வந்த தூதர் பலரும் பொய்யாக்கப்பட்டனர். அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லா காரியங்களும் கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

இன்னும், (நபியே!) அவர்கள் உங்களைப் பொய்ப்பிப்பார்களானால் (வருந்தாதீர்), இவ்வாறே உமக்கு முன் வந்த தூதர்களையும் திட்டமாக பொய்ப்பித்தனர் - அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் மீட்டப்படும்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) அவர்கள் உம்மைப் பொய்ப்படுத்தி விடுவார்களானால் (பொறுமையைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பீராக! ஏனெனில்,) உமக்கு முன்னர் (வந்த) தூதர்களும் பொய்ப்படுத்தப் பட்டனர், அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே சகல காரியங்களும் மீட்டுக் கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

If they reject you, there were messengers rejected before you; it is to Allah that all matters will be returned.

Ya ayyuha alnnasu inna waAAda Allahi haqqun fala taghurrannakumu alhayatu alddunya wala yaghurrannakum biAllahi algharooru

O mankind! Verily, the Promise of Allâh is true. So, let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allâh.

O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.

மனிதர்களே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானதாகும். ஆகவே, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை மெய்யாகவே உங்களை மயக்கிவிட வேண்டாம். (ஷைத்தானாகிய) மாயக்காரனும் அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி உங்களை மயக்கிவிட வேண்டாம்.

மனிதர்களே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானதாகும்; ஆகவே, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை உங்களை ஒரு போதும் ஏமாற்றிவிட வேண்டாம்; இன்னும் (ஷைத்தானாகிய) ஏமாற்றுபவன் உங்களை அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும் ஏமாற்றி விட வேண்டாம்.

மனிதர்களே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானதாகும், ஆகவே, இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கை உங்களைத்திட்டமாக ஏமாற்றி விட வேண்டாம், (ஷைத்தானாகிய) ஏமாற்றுகிறவனும் அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி உங்களைத் திட்டமாக (மோசடியில் ஆக்கி) ஏமாற்றிவிட வேண்டாம்.

O mankind, indeed Allah’s promise is true, so do not let the life of this world deceive you, nor let the Deceiver [Satan] deceive you concerning Allah.

Inna alshshaytana lakum AAaduwwun faittakhithoohu AAaduwwan innama yadAAoo hizbahu liyakoonoo min ashabi alssaAAeeri

Surely, Shaitân (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.

நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான் உங்களுக்கு எதிரியாக இருக்கின்றான். ஆகவே, அவனை நீங்களும் எதிரியாகவே கருதுங்கள். அவன் (தனக்கு வழிப்பட்ட) தன் கூட்டத்தாரை அழைப்பதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகளாகி விடுவதற்காகவே.

நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான் உங்களுக்குப் பகைவனாக இருக்கின்றான்; ஆகவே நீங்களும் அவனைப் பகைவனாகவே எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; அவன் (தன்னைப் பின்பற்றும்) தன் கூட்டத்தாரை அழைப்பதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் (நரக) நெருப்புக்கு உரியவர்களாய் இருப்பதற்காகவே தான்.

நிச்சயமாக ஷைத்தான் உங்களுக்கு விரோதியாக இருக்கின்றான், ஆகவே, அவனை நீங்களும் விரோதியாகவே எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள், அவன் (தனக்கு வழிபட்ட) தன் கூட்டத்தாரை அழைப்பதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் நரகவாசிகளில் ஆகிவிடுவதற்காகவேதான்.

Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy. He only calls his followers to be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.

Allatheena kafaroo lahum AAathabun shadeedun waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum maghfiratun waajrun kabeerun

Those who disbelieve, theirs will be a severe torment; and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.

எவர்கள் நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனை உண்டு. எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும் உண்டு; பெரிய கூலியும் உண்டு.

எவர்கள் (சத்தியத்தை) நிராகரிக்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனையுண்டு; ஆனால் எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்களை செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும், மிகப் பெரும் நற்கூலியுமுண்டு.  

(ஷைத்தானைப் பின்பற்றி உண்மையை) நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களே அத்ததகையோர்_அவர்களுக்கு கடினமான வேதனையுண்டு. மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும், (மிகப்) பெரிய (நற்)கூலியும் உண்டு.

Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, but those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and a great reward.

Afaman zuyyina lahu sooo AAamalihi faraahu hasanan fainna Allaha yudillu man yashao wayahdee man yashao fala tathhab nafsuka AAalayhim hasaratin inna Allaha AAaleemun bima yasnaAAoona

Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds is made fair-seeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)? Verily, Allâh sends astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So destroy not yourself (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) in sorrow for them. Truly, Allâh is All-Knower of what they do!

Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do.

எவனுக்குத் தீய காரியங்கள் அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு அவனும் அதனை அழகாகக் காண்கிறானோ அவனும், (எவன் தீய காரியங்களைத் தீயனவாகவே கண்டு அதிலிருந்து விலகிக் கொள்கின்றானோ அவனும் சமமாவார்களா? ஒருபோதும் ஆக மாட்டார்கள்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் விரும்பியவர்களைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிடுகிறான். தான் விரும்பியவர்களை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்துகிறான். ஆகவே, (நபியே!) அவர்களுக்காக உங்கள் உயிரையே மாய்த்துக் கொள்ளும் அளவுக்கு நீங்கள் கவலைப்படாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

எவனுக்கு அவனுடைய செயலின் கெடுதியும் அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு, அவனும் அதைஅழகாகக் காண்கிறானோ, அவன் (நேர்வழி பெற்றவனைப் போலாவானா?) அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவரை வழிதவறச் செய்கிறான்; மேலும் தான் நாடியவரை நேர்வழியில் சேர்க்கிறான்; ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்காக உம்முடைய உயிர் போகும் அளவுக்கு நீர் விசாரப்பட வேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதை நன்கறிபவன்.

எனவே, எவருக்கு அவருடைய செயலின் தீமை அலங்காரமாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு, அவர் அதை அழகாகக் காண்கின்றாரோ அவரா? (இதைத் தவிர்த்தவருக்கு சமமாவார்?) ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடியவர்களைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிடுகிறான், தான் நாடியவர்களை நேரான வழியிலும் செலுத்துகிறான், ஆகவே, (நபியே!) அவர்கள் மீதுள்ள கவலைகளால் உம்முடைய உயிர் போய் விடவேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்பவற்றை நன்கறிகிறவன்.

Is one whose evil deed is made appealing to him so he deems it good [like one who is rightly guided]? It is Allah who causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself collapse in grief for them. Allah is All-Knowing of what they do.

WaAllahu allathee arsala alrriyaha fatutheeru sahaban fasuqnahu ila baladin mayyitin faahyayna bihi alarda baAAda mawtiha kathalika alnnushooru

And it is Allâh Who sends the winds, so that they raise up the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. As such (will be) the Resurrection!

And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.

அல்லாஹ்தான் காற்றை அனுப்புகிறான். அது மேகங்களை ஓட்டுகின்றது. பின்னர், அவைகளை இறந்து (பட்டுப்) போன பூமியளவில் செலுத்தி, இறந்து போன பூமியை உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான். (மரணித்தவர்கள் மறுமையில்) உயிர்பெற்று எழுவதும் இவ்வாறே.

மேலும் அல்லாஹ்தான் காற்றுகளை அனுப்புகிறான்; அவை மேகங்களை(க் கிளப்பி) ஓட்டுகின்றன - பின்னர் அவற்றை (வரண்டு) இறந்துகிடக்கும் நிலத்தின் மீது செலுத்துகிறோம். (மழை பெய்யச் செய்து) அதைக் கொண்டு நிலத்தை அது (வரண்டு) இறந்து போனபின் உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றோம். (இறந்து போனவர் மறுமையில்) உயிர்பெற்று எழுவதும் இவ்வாறே இருக்கிறது.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ் எத்தகையவனென்றால், காற்றுகளை அவன் அனுப்புகிறான், அவை மேகங்களைக் கிளறுகின்றன, பின்னர், நாம் அவைகளை இறந்து போன ஊருக்கு (மழையாகப் பொழிவிக்க) இழுத்துச் செல்கிறோம், அப்போது அதனைக் கொண்டு பூமியை அது (வறண்டு) இறந்துபோன பின் உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றோம். (மரணித்தோர் மறுமையில்) உயிர் பெற்றெழுவதும் இவ்வாறுதான்.

It is Allah Who sends the winds which stir up clouds, then We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. Such will be the Resurrection.

Man kana yureedu alAAizzata falillahi alAAizzatu jameeAAan ilayhi yasAAadu alkalimu alttayyibu waalAAamalu alssalihu yarfaAAuhu waallatheena yamkuroona alssayyiati lahum AAathabun shadeedun wamakru olaika huwa yabooru

Whosoever desires honour, power and glory, then to Allâh belong all honour, power and glory [and one can get honour, power and glory only by obeying and worshipping Allâh (Alone)]. To Him ascend (all) the goodly words, and the righteous deeds exalt it (i.e. the goodly words are not accepted by Allâh unless and until they are followed by good deeds), but those who plot evils, theirs will be a severe torment. And the plotting of such will perish.

Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.

எவன் கண்ணியத்தையும், சிறப்பையும் விரும்புகின்றானோ (அவன் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வழிப்பட்டு நடக்கவும். ஏனென்றால்) கண்ணியங்கள் அனைத்துமே அல்லாஹ்வுக்குச் சொந்தமானவை. (கலிமா தையிப், ஸலவாத்து போன்ற) நல்ல வாக்கியங்கள் அவன் அளவில் செல்கின்றன. நல்ல காரியங்களை அவனே உயர்த்து கின்றான். (நபியே!) எவர்கள் (உங்களுக்குத்) தீங்கிழைக்க சதி செய்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனை உண்டு. இவர்களுடைய சதி (ஒன்றுமில்லாது) அழிந்தே போகும்.

எவன் இஸ்ஸத்தை - கண்ணியத்தை நாடுகிறானோ, அவன், எல்லாக் கண்ணியமும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியதாகும் (என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளட்டும்); தூய்மையான வாக்குகளெல்லாம் அவன் பக்கமே மேலேறிச் செல்கின்றன; ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமலை எல்லாம் அவன் உயர்த்துகிறான்; அன்றியும் எவர்கள் தீமைகளைச் செய்யச்சதி செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனையுண்டு - இன்னும் இவர்களுடைய சதித்திட்டம் அழிந்து போகும்.

எவர் கண்ணியத்தை நாடுகிறாரோ கண்ணியம் யாவும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியதாகும், தூய வாக்கியங்கள் அவனளவில் மேலேறிச் செல்கின்றன, நல்ல செயலும் அதை (அல்லாஹ்வின் பால்) உயர்த்துகிறது, மேலும், (நபியே!) தீமைகளுக்குச் சதி செய்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_ அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமான வேதனையுண்டு, இவர்களுடைய சதி (ஒன்றுமில்லாது) அது அழிந்தே போகும்.

Whoever seeks honor, then all honor belongs to Allah alone. To Him ascend good words, and righteous deeds raise them. But those who plan evil deeds there will be a severe punishment for them, and the plans of such people will perish.

WaAllahu khalaqakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma jaAAalakum azwajan wama tahmilu min ontha wala tadaAAu illa biAAilmihi wama yuAAammaru min muAAammarin wala yunqasu min AAumurihi illa fee kitabin inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun

And Allâh did create you (Adam) from dust, then from Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge, i.e. Adam's offspring), then He made you pairs (male and female). And no female conceives or gives birth but with His Knowledge. And no aged man is granted a length of life nor is a part cut off from his life (or another man's life), but is in a Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz). Surely, that is easy for Allâh.

And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.

அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களை (ஆரம்பத்தில்) மண்ணால் உற்பத்தி செய்தான். பின்னர் ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்திலிருந்து, பின்னர் (ஆண், பெண் ஜோடி) ஜோடியாக உங்களை ஆக்கினான். அவன் அறியாமல் யாதொரு பெண் கர்ப்பமாவதும் இல்லை; பிரசவிப்பதும் இல்லை. அவனுடைய "லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூளில்" இல்லாது எவனுடைய வயதும் அதிகரிப்பதுமில்லை; குறைந்து விடுவதும் இல்லை. நிச்சயமாக இ(வை அனைத்தையும் அறிந்திருப்ப)து அல்லாஹ்வுக்குச் சுலபமானதே!

அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களை (முதலில்) மண்ணால் படைத்தான்; பின்னர் ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்திலிருந்து - பின் உங்களை (ஆண், பெண்) ஜோடியாக அவன் ஆக்கினான், அவன் அறியாமல் எந்தப் பெண்ணும் கர்ப்பம் தரிப்பதுமில்லை; பிரசவிப்பதுமில்லை. இவ்வாறே ஒருவருடைய வயது அதிகமாக்கப்படுவதும், அவருடைய வயதிலிருந்து குறைப்பதும் (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள் என்னும்) ஏட்டில் இல்லாமலில்லை; நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எளிதானதேயாகும்.

மேலும் அல்லாஹ் உங்களை (துவக்கத்தில்) மண்ணிலிருந்து படைத்தான், பின்னர் ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்திலிருந்து _பின்னர் (ஆண்_பெண் கொண்ட) ஜோடிகளாக ஆக்கினான், அவன் அறிவைக்கொண்டே தவிர எந்தப் பெண்ணும் கர்ப்பமாவதும் இல்லை, அவள் பிரசவிப்பதும் இல்லை, வயதானவரின் வயது அதிகப்படுத்தப்படுவதும், அவரின் வயதிலிருந்து குறைக்கப்படுவதும் (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள் எனும் பதிவுப்) புத்தகத்தில் இல்லாமலில்லை, நிச்சயமாக இ(வை யாவற்றையும் செய்வ)து அல்லாஹ்வுக்குச் சுலபமானதே!

It is Allah Who created you from dust, then from a drop of semen, then He made you into pairs. No female conceives nor gives birth without His knowledge. None is given long life or cut short of his life except that it is in a Record. That is surely easy for Allah.

Wama yastawee albahrani hatha AAathbun furatun saighun sharabuhu wahatha milhun ojajun wamin kullin takuloona lahman tariyyan watastakhrijoona hilyatan talbasoonaha watara alfulka feehi mawakhira litabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona

And the two seas (kinds of water) are not alike, this is palatable, sweet and pleasant to drink, and that is salt and bitter. And from them both you eat fresh tender meat (fish), and derive the ornaments that you wear. And you see the ships cleaving (the sea water as they sail through it), that you may seek of His bounty, and that you may give thanks.

And not alike are the two bodies of water. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

இரு கடல்களும் சமமாகி விடாது; ஒன்று குடிப்பதற்கு இன்பமான மதுரமான தண்ணீர்! மற்றொன்று கொடிய உப்பு(த் தண்ணீர். இவ்வாறு இவ்விரண்டிற்கும் வேற்றுமை இருந்த போதிலும்) இவ்விரண்டில் இருந்துமே புத்தம் புதிய (மீன்) மாமிசத்தைப் புசிக்கின்றீர்கள். நீங்கள் ஆபரணமாக அணியக்கூடிய(முத்து, பவளம் போன்ற)வைகளையும் அவற்றிலிருந்து எடுக்கின்றீர்கள். கடல்களைப் பிளந்து கொண்டு செல்லும் கப்பலில் (பயணம் செய்து பல தேசங்களிலுள்ள) இறைவனுடைய அருளை நீங்கள் தேடிக் கொள்கிறீர்கள். (இதற்கு) நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவீர்களாக!

இன்னும் இரண்டு கடல்கள் சமமாகா; ஒன்று மிகவும் இனிமையாக, (தாகம்தீரக்) குடிப்பதற்குச் சுவையாக இருக்கிறது; மற்றொன்று உவர்ப்பாக, கசப்பாக இருக்கிறது. எனினும் இவை ஒவ்வொன்றிலிருந்தும் நீங்கள் சுவையான (மீன்) மாமிசத்தை உண்ணுகிறீர்கள். இன்னும், (முத்து, பவளம் போன்ற) ஆபரணமாக நீங்கள் அணிவதையும் எடுத்துக் கொள்கிறீர்கள்; மேலும் (அல்லாஹ்வின்) அருளை நீங்கள் தேடிக்கொள்வதற்காக (நீங்கள் பிரயாணம் செய்யும் போது) கப்பல்கள் நீரைப்பிளந்து செல்வதையும் நீங்கள் காண்கிறீர்கள் - இதற்கு நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவீர்களாக!

இன்னும், இரு கடல்களும் சமமாகிவிடாது (இரண்டில்) இது மிக்க மதுரமான (தாகம் தீர்க்கக்கூடியதான,) அதை அருந்துவதற்கு இலேசானது, இதுவோ, உப்பும் மிக்க கசப்பும் (உடைய நீர்) ஆகும். (இரு வகையாகிய) ஒவ்வொன்றிலிருந்தும் புதிய (சுவையான மீன்) இறைச்சியை உண்ணுகின்றீர்கள், எதை நீங்கள் அணிகின்றீர்களோ அத்தகைய ஆபரணங்களையும் (அவற்றிலிருந்து) வெளியாக்குகிறீர்கள், (யாத்திரையின் மூலம்) அவனது பேரருளை நீங்கள் தேடிக் கொள்வதற்காகவும், (அவற்றுக்காக) நீங்கள் நன்றி செய்வதற்காகவும் அதில் கப்பல்களை நீரைப் பிளந்து செல்பவையாக நீர் காண்கிறீர்.

The two bodies of water are not alike: one is fresh and palatable, pleasant to drink, and the other is salty and bitter. Yet from each you eat fresh meat and extract ornaments to wear. And you see the ships traverse their way through both, so that you may seek His bounty and so that you may give thanks.

Yooliju allayla fee alnnahari wayooliju alnnahara fee allayli wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullun yajree liajalin musamman thalikumu Allahu rabbukum lahu almulku waallatheena tadAAoona min doonihi ma yamlikoona min qitmeerin

He merges the night into the day (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the night is added to the hours of the day), and He merges the day into the night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day is added to the hours of the night). And He has subjected the sun and the moon, each runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allâh, your Lord; His is the kingdom. And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmîr (the thin membrane over the date stone).

He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.

அவனே இரவைப் பகலில் புகுத்துகிறான்; பகலை இரவில் புகுத்துகிறான். சந்திரனையும் சூரியனையும் தனக்குள் அடக்கி வைத்து இருக்கிறான். இவை அனைத்தும் அவைகளுக்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட தவணைப்படி செல்கின்றன. இவன்தான் உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ். எல்லா ஆட்சிகளும் அவனுக்கு உரியனவே! அவனையன்றி எவைகளை நீங்கள் (இறைவனென உதவிக்கு) அழைக்கின்றீர்களோ அவைகளுக்கு ஓர் அணு அளவும் அதிகாரமில்லை.

அவனே இரவைப் பகலில் புகுத்துகிறான்; பகலை இரவில் புகுத்துகிறான், சூரியனையும் சந்திரனையும் தன் அதிகாரத்திற்குள் வைத்திருக்கின்றான்; இவை அனைத்தும் குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்திட்டப்படியே நடந்து வருகின்றன; அவனே உங்களுடைய இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்; அரசாட்சியெல்லாம் அவனுக்குரியதே, அவனையன்றி நீங்கள் எவர்களை பிரார்த்தி(த்து அழை)க்கின்றீர்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு அணுவளவு அதிகாரமும் இல்லை.

அவனே இரவைப் பகலில் நுழையச் செய்கிறான், இன்னும், பகலை இரவில் நுழையச் செய்கிறான், சூரியனையும், சந்திரனையும் வசப்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கிறான், (இவை) ஒவ்வொன்றும் (அதற்குக்) குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட தவணைப்படியே செல்கின்றன, (இத்தகைய தகுதிகளுக்குரிய) அவன்தான் உங்கள் இரட்சகனாகிய அல்லாஹ்; அரசாட்சி அவனுடயதே! இன்னும், அவனையன்றி நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தித்து அழைக்கின்றீர்களே அத்தகையவர்கள், ஒரு வித்தின் (மேலிருக்கும்) தொலி அளவும் அதிகாரம் பெறமாட்டார்கள்.

He merges the night into the day and the day into the night, and subjected the sun and the moon, each running its course for an appointed term. Such is Allah, your Lord. To Him belongs the dominion, whereas those whom you invoke besides Him do not own so much as the membrane of a date stone.

In tadAAoohum la yasmaAAoo duAAaakum walaw samiAAoo ma istajaboo lakum wayawma alqiyamati yakfuroona bishirkikum wala yunabbioka mithlu khabeerin

If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call; and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) like Him Who is Well-Aquainted (with everything).

If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters].

அவைகளை நீங்கள் அழைத்தபோதிலும் உங்களுடைய அழைப்பை அவை செவியுறாது. அவை செவியுற்றபோதிலும் உங்களுக்குப் பதிலளிக்காது. மறுமை நாளிலோ அவைகளை நீங்கள் இணைவைத்து வணங்கியதையும் அவை நிராகரித்துவிடும். (அவைகளின் செயலற்ற தன்மை) அனைத்தையும் அறிந்த (இறை)வனைப் போல் (வேறு) ஒருவரும் (நபியே!) உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கமாட்டார்.

நீங்கள் அவர்களைப் பிரார்த்தி(த்து அழை)த்தாலும், அவர்கள் உங்கள் பிரார்த்தனையை (அழைப்பை)ச் செவியோற்கார்; செவியேற்றாலும் கூட உங்களுக்கு பதில் அளிக்கமாட்டார்கள்; கியாம நாளில் நீங்கள் இணைவைத்ததையும் அவர்கள் நிராகரித்து விடுவார்கள்; யாவற்றையும் நன்கு அறிபவனைப் போன்று (அவர்கள்) எவருமே உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்க மாட்டார்கள்.  

அவர்களை நீங்கள் அழைத்தபோதிலும், உங்களுடைய அழைப்பை அவர்கள் செவியுறமாட்டர்கள், அவர்கள் செவியேற்ற போதிலும் உங்களுக்குப் பதிலளிக்க மாட்டார்கள், மறுமை நாளிலோ நீங்கள் (அவர்களை) இணைவைத்ததையும் அவர்கள் நிராகரித்து விடுவார்கள். (விஷயங்களை) அறிந்தவனைப் போல் (மற்றெவரும்) உமக்கு(ச் செய்திகளை) அறிவிக்கமாட்டார்.

If you call upon them, they cannot hear your call, and even if they were to hear, they could not respond to you. On the Day of Resurrection they will disown your associating them as partners with Allah. And none can inform you like the All-Aware.

Ya ayyuha alnnasu antumu alfuqarao ila Allahi waAllahu huwa alghaniyyu alhameedu

O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allâh. But Allâh is the Rich (Free of all needs), the Worthy of all praise.

O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள் அனைரும் (எந்நேரத்திலும்) அல்லாஹ் வினுடைய உதவி தேவைப்பட்டவர்களாக இருக்கின்றீர்கள். அல்லாஹ்வோ (உங்களுடைய) தேவையற்றவனும் புகழுக்குரிய வனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்.

மனிதர்களே! அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவி (எப்பொழுதும்) தேவைப்பட்டவர்களாக இருப்பவர்கள் நீங்கள்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் எவரிடமும் தேவைப்படாதவன்; புகழுக்குரியவன்.

மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின்பால் தேவையுடையவர்கள், அல்லாஹ்_ அவன்தான் (பிறர்) தேவையற்றவன், (சீமான்,) புகழுக்குரியவன்.

O people, it is you who are in need of Allah, whereas Allah is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

In yasha yuthhibkum wayati bikhalqin jadeedin

If He willed, He could destroy you and bring about a new creation.

If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation.

அவன் விரும்பினால் உங்களை அழித்து மற்றொரு புதிய படைப்பைக் கொண்டு வந்துவிடுவான்.

அவன் நாடினால், உங்களைப் போக்கிவிட்டு, (வேறொரு) புதியபடைப்பைக் கொண்டு வருவான்.

அவன் நாடினால் உங்களைப் போக்கி விடுவான், (மற்றொரு) புதிய சிருஷ்டியைக் கொண்டு வந்தும் விடுவான்.

If He wills, He can eliminate you and bring in a new creation,

Wama thalika AAala Allahi biAAazeezin

And that is not hard for Allâh.

And that is for Allah not difficult.

இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு ஒரு சிரமமானது அல்ல.

இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்குக் கடினமானதுமல்ல.

இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்குக் கடினமானதுமல்ல.

for that is not difficult for Allah.

Wala taziru waziratun wizra okhra wain tadAAu muthqalatun ila himliha la yuhmal minhu shayon walaw kana tha qurba innama tunthiru allatheena yakhshawna rabbahum bialghaybi waaqamoo alssalata waman tazakka fainnama yatazakka linafsihi waila Allahi almaseeru

And no bearer of burdens shall bear another's burden; and if one heavily laden calls another to (bear) his load, nothing of it will be lifted even though he be near of kin. You (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) can warn only those who fear their Lord unseen and perform As-Salât (the prayers). And he who purifies himself (from all kinds of sins), then he purifies only for the benefit of his own self. And to Allâh is the (final) Return (of all).

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.

(மறுமையில்) ஒருவனுடைய பாவச் சுமையை மற்றொருவன் சுமக்கவே மாட்டான். பளுவான சுமையில் ஒரு பாகத்தையேனும் சுமந்துகொள்ளும்படி அழைத்தபோதிலும், அவன் இவனுடைய சொந்தக்காரனாக இருந்த போதிலும், இவனுடைய சுமையில் ஓர் அற்ப அளவையும் அவன் சுமந்துகொள்ள மாட்டான். (நபியே!) நீங்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதெல்லாம், எவர்கள் (தங்கள் கண்ணால்) காணாமல் இருந்தும், தங்கள் இறைவனுக்குப் பயந்து நடந்து, தொழுகையையும் நிலைநாட்டுகின்றார்களோ அவர்களுக்குத்தான். எவர் பரிசுத்தமாக இருக்கின்றாரோ அவர் தன்னுடைய நன்மைக்காகவே பரிசுத்தமாய் இருக்கின்றார். அல்லாஹ்விடமே அனைத்தும் செல்ல வேண்டியதிருக்கின்றது.

(மறுமை நாளில் தன்) சுமையைக் சுமக்கும் ஒருவன், வேறொருவனுடைய சுமையைச் சுமக்க மாட்டான்; அன்றியும் பளுவான சுமையைச் சுமப்பவன், அதில் (சிறிதேனும்) சுமந்து கொள்ளும்படி (வேறொருவனை) அழைத்தாலும், அவன் சொந்தக்காரனாக இருந்தபோதிலும் - அதில் சிறிதளவு கூட அவ்வாறு சுமந்து கொள்ளப்படாது; எவர் மறைவிலும் தங்கள் இறைவனை அஞ்சி தொழுகையையும் நிலைநாட்டி வருகின்றார்களோ அவர்களையே நீர் எச்சரிக்கை செய்வீர். எவர் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறாரோ அவர், தம் நன்மைக்காகவே பரிசுத்தமாக இருக்கின்றார்; அல்லாஹ்விடமே யாவும் மீண்டு செல்லவேண்டியுள்ளது.

பாவம் செய்த எந்த ஆத்மாவும் மற்றொரு பாவம் செய்த ஆத்மாவின் பாவத்தை (மறுமையில்) சுமக்காது, பாவச்சுமை கனத்துவிட்ட எந்த ஆத்மாவும், அதைச் சுமக்க (யாரையேனும் அது) அழைத்தாலும் (அழைக்கப் பட்டவன்) சுற்றத்தாராக இருப்பினும், அதிலிருந்து சிறிதளவேனும் (மற்றவர் மீது) சுமத்தப்படமாட்டாது; (நபியே!) நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதெல்லாம், (தங்கள் கண்களால் காணாமலிருந்தும்) மறைவில் தங்கள் இரட்சகனை பயந்து, தொழுகையையும் நிறைவேற்றிவருகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோரைத் தான்; எவர் பரிசுத்தமடைகின்றாரோ, அவர் பரிசுத்தமடைவதெல்லாம் (அதன் பலனெல்லாம்) தமக்காகத்தான். அல்லாஹ்விடமே (யாவும்) மீண்டு செல்ல வேண்டியதிருக்கின்றது.

No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. If a heavily-laden soul calls for help to bear its burden, nothing of it will be carried, even if he is a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and establish prayer. Whoever purifies himself, he only does so for his own benefit. To Allah is the final return.

Wama yastawee alaAAma waalbaseeru

Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islâmic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islâmic Monotheism).

Not equal are the blind and the seeing,

குருடனும் பார்வையுடையவனும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள்.

குருடனும், பார்வையுடையவனும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள்.

குருடனும், பார்வையுடையோனும் சமமாவதில்லை.

The blind and the seeing are not equal,

Wala alththulumatu wala alnnooru

Nor are (alike) the darkness (disbelief) and the light (belief in Islâmic Monotheism).

Nor are the darknesses and the light,

(அவ்வாறே) இருளும் பிரகாசமும் (சமமாகாது).

(அவ்வாறே) இருளும் ஒளியும் (சமமாகா).

(அவ்வாறே) இருள்களும், பிரகாசமும் (சமமாவது) இல்லை.

nor are the depths of darkness and the light,

Wala alththillu wala alharooru

Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun's heat.

Nor are the shade and the heat,

நிழலும், வெயிலும் (சமமாகாது).

(அவ்வாறே) நிழலும் வெயிலும் (சமமாகா).

(அவ்வாறே) நிழலும், வெயிலும் (சமமாவது) இல்லை.

nor the shade and the scorching wind.

Wama yastawee alahyao wala alamwatu inna Allaha yusmiAAu man yashao wama anta bimusmiAAin man fee alquboori

Nor are (alike) the living (i.e., the believers) and the dead (i.e., the disbelievers). Verily, Allâh makes whom He wills to hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves.

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.

உயிருள்ளவர்களும் மரணித்தவர்களும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் விரும்பியவர்களைச் செவியுறும்படிச் செய்கின்றான். (நபியே!) சமாதிகளில் உள்ளவர்களை செவியுறும்படிச் செய்ய உங்களால் முடியாது.

அன்றியும், உயிருள்ளவர்களும், இறந்தவர்களும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் நாடியவர்களைச் செவியேற்கும்படி செய்கிறான், மண்ணறைகளில் உள்ளவர்களைக் கேட்கும்படிச் செய்பவராக நீர் இல்லை.

மேலும், உயிருள்ளவர்களும், இறந்தவர்களும் சமமாக மாட்டார்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடியவர்களைச் செவியேற்குமாறு செய்கின்றான், (நபியே!) “கப்ரு” (சமாதி)களில் உள்ளவர்களைச் செவியேற்கச் செய்பவராகவும் நீர் இல்லை.

Nor are the living and the dead equal. Allah makes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make to hear those who are in the graves.

In anta illa natheerun

You (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) are only a warner (i.e. your duty is to convey Allâh's Message to mankind but the guidance is Allâh's).

You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner.

நீங்கள் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவரே தவிர (நீங்கள் கூறுகிறவாறே செய்யும்படி அவர்களை நிர்ப்பந்திக்கக்கூடியவர்) அல்ல.

நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவரேயன்றி வேறு அல்லர்.

நீர் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவரே தவிர (வேறு) இல்லை.

You are but a warner.

Inna arsalnaka bialhaqqi basheeran wanatheeran wain min ommatin illa khala feeha natheerun

Verily, We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. And there never was a nation but a warner had passed among them.

Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை உண்மையைக் கொண்டு நற்செய்தி கூறுபவராகவும், அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவராகவும் (மட்டும்) அனுப்பி இருக்கின்றோம். அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யும் (நம்முடைய) தூதர் வராத எந்த வகுப்பாரும் (பூமியில்) இருக்க வில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் உம்மை உண்மையைக் கொண்டு, நன்மாராயங் கூறுபவராகவும், அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவராகவுமே அனுப்பியுள்ளோம்; அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவர் வராத எந்த சமுதாயத்தவரும் (பூமியில்) இல்லை.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உம்மை சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு நன்மாராயங் கூறுபவராகவும், அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவராகவும் அனுப்பினோம்; மேலும் எந்த சமுதாயத்தவரும் அ(ச்சமுதாயத்)தில் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்யும் (நம்முடைய) தூதர் சென்றே தவிர இப்புவியில் இல்லை.

We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. There has never been any community except that a warner came to it.

Wain yukaththibooka faqad kaththaba allatheena min qablihim jaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati wabialzzuburi wabialkitabi almuneeri

And if they deny you, those before them also denied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, and with the Scriptures, and the Book giving light.

And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் உங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கினால் (அதற்காக நீங்கள் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம். இவ்வாறே) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும் அவர்களிடம் வந்த நம்முடைய தூதர்களைப் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள். அவர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் "ஸுஹுஃபு"களையும், பிரகாசமான வேதங்களையும் அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருந்தனர்.

இன்னும் அவர்கள் உம்மைப் பொய்பித்தார்களானால் (விசனப்படாதீர்), இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும் இவ்வாறே திட்டமாகப் பொய்ப்பித்தனர். அவர்களுடைய தூதர்கள், அவர்களிடம் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடனும், ஆகமங்களுடனும், ஒளிவீசும் வேதத்துடனும் வந்திருந்தார்கள்.

(நபியே!) இன்னும், அவர்கள் உம்மைப் பொய்ப்படுத்துவார்களானால் அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களும், (நம்முடைய தூதர்களைப்) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள். அவர்களுடைய தூதர்கள் அவர்களிடம் (அத்தாட்சிகளில்) தெளிவானவைகளையும், (“ஜூபுரு” எனும்) ஆகமங்களையும், பிரகாசமான வேதத்தையும் கொண்டு வந்திருந்தனர்.

If they reject you, so did those who came before them. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, divine scriptures, and an enlightening Book.

Thumma akhathtu allatheena kafaroo fakayfa kana nakeeri

Then I took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was My denial (punishment)!

Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

ஆகவே, (அத்தூதர்களை) நிராகரித்த அவர்களை நாம் பிடித்துக்கொண்டோம். அவர்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பு எவ்வாறாயிற்று (என்பதை நீங்கள் கவனித்தீர்களா? அவ்வாறே உங்களை நிராகரிக்கும் இவர்களையும் வேதனையைக் கொண்டு நாம் பிடித்துக் கொள்வோம்.)

பின்னர், நிராகரித்த அவர்களை நான் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன். ஆகவே (அவர்களுக்குரிய) எனது வேதனை எவ்வாறிருந்தது.  

பின்னர், நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோரை நான் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன், ஆகவே, (அவர்களை அழிப்பதன் மூலம் என்னுடைய) மறுப்பு எப்படி இருந்தது? (என்பதை நீர் கவனித்தீரா?)

Then I seized those who disbelieved. How severe was My response!

Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssamai maan faakhrajna bihi thamaratin mukhtalifan alwanuha wamina aljibali judadun beedun wahumrun mukhtalifun alwanuha wagharabeebu soodun

See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and We produce therewith fruits of various colours, and among the mountains are streaks white and red, of varying colours and (others) very black.

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை இறக்கி வைக்கின்றான் என்பதை நீங்கள் கவனிக்க வில்லையா? பின்னரும் (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) நாம்தாம் அதனைக் கொண்டு பலவிதமான (ருசிகளையும்) நிறங்களை உடைய காய் கனிகளை வெளியாக்குகின்றோம். இன்னும் மலைகளில் வெள்ளை, சிகப்பு முதலிய பல நிறங்கள் உள்ளவைகளும், சுத்தக் கருப்பு நிறம் உள்ளவைகளும் இருக்கின்றன.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை இறக்குவதை நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? பின்னர் நாமே அதனைக் கொண்டு பல விதமான நிறங்களுடைய கனிகளை வெளியாக்கினோம். மலைகளிலிருந்து வெண்மையானதும், சிவந்ததும், தன் நிறங்கள் பற்பல விதமானவையான பாதைகளும் சுத்தக் கரிய நிறமுடையவும் உள்ளன.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை இறக்கி வைக்கின்றான் என்பதை நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? பின்னர், நாம்தாம் அதனைக்கொண்டு, அவற்றின் நிறங்களை மாறுபட்டவையான கனிகளை வெளியாக்கினோம், இன்னும், மலைகளிலிருந்து, அதன் நிறங்கள் மாறுபட்டவையான வெள்ளையும், சிவப்புமான பாதைகளும், சுத்தக்கறுப்பு நிறமுடையதும் உள்ளன.

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, then We bring forth thereby fruits of various colors? And in the mountains there are various tracts of white and red, of various colors, and raven black;

Wamina alnnasi waalddawabbi waalanAAami mukhtalifun alwanuhu kathalika innama yakhsha Allaha min AAibadihi alAAulamao inna Allaha AAazeezun ghafoorun

And likewise, men and Ad-Dawâbb [moving (living) creatures, beasts] and cattle are of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Mighty, Oft-Forgiving.

And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Forgiving.

மனிதர்களிலும், உயிருள்ளவைகளிலும் (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் முதலிய) கால்நடைகளிலும் இவ்வாறே பல நிறங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அடியார்களில் அவனுக்குப் பயப்படுபவர்களெல்லாம் (அறிவுடைய) கல்விமான்கள் தாம். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் மிக்க மன்னிப்புடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

இவ்வாறே மனிதர்களிலும், ஊர்வனவற்றிலும், கால் நடைகளிலும், பல நிறங்கள் இருக்கின்றன; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் அடியார்களில் அவனுக்கு அஞ்சுவோரெல்லாம் - ஆலிம்கள் (அறிஞர்கள்) தாம். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் யாவரையும் மிகைத்தவன்; மிக மன்னிப்பவன்.

இன்னும், அவ்வாறே மனிதர்களிலும், பூமியிலும் ஊர்ந்து திரிபவற்றிலும் (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் முதலிய) கால் நடைகளிலும் அதனுடைய நிறங்கள் மாறுபட்டிருக்கின்றன, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வை_அவனுடைய அடியார்களில் பயப்படுவதெல்லாம் (அவனைப்பற்றி அறிந்த) கல்விமான்கள் தாம், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், மிக்க மன்னிப்புடையவன்.

just as humans, animals and livestock are of various colors. Only the people of knowledge among His slaves fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Forgiving.

Inna allatheena yatloona kitaba Allahi waaqamoo alssalata waanfaqoo mimma razaqnahum sirran waAAalaniyatan yarjoona tijaratan lan taboora

Verily, those who recite the Book of Allâh (this Qur'ân), and perform As-Salât (the prayers), and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, they hope for a (sure) trade-gain that will never perish.

Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish -

எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதத்தை ஓதி, தொழுகை யையும் கடைப்பிடித்து, நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவை களை இரகசியமாகவும் வெளிப்படையாகவும் தானம் செய்து வருகிறார்களோ அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக என்றுமே நஷ்டமடையாத (லாபம் தரும்) ஒரு வர்த்தகத்தை எதிர்பார்க்கின்றார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதத்தை ஓதுகிறார்களோ - தொழுகையை முறையாகக் கடைப்பிடித்து ஒழுகுகிறார்களோ - நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்திருப்பதிலிருந்து இரகசியமாகவும், வெளிப்படையாகவும் (அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில்) செலவு செய்கிறார்களோ, (ஆகிய இவர்கள்) என்றும் அழியாத ஒரு வியாபாரத்தையே ஆதரவு வைக்கிறார்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதத்தை ஓதி, தொழுகையையும் நிறைவேற்றி, நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து இரகசியமாகவும், பரகசியமாகவும் (தர்மமாக) செலவு செய்கிறார்களே நிச்சயமாக அத்தகையோர்_என்றுமே நஷ்டமடையாத (லாபம் தரும்) ஒரு வர்த்தகத்தை அவர்கள் ஆதரவு வைக்கிறார்கள்.

Those who recite the Book of Allah, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hoping for a deal that will suffer no loss,

Liyuwaffiyahum ojoorahum wayazeedahum min fadlihi innahu ghafoorun shakoorun

That He may pay them their wages in full, and give them (even) more, out of His Grace. Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.

(அல்லாஹ்) அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய கூலியைப் பூரணமாகவே கொடுத்து தன்னுடைய அருளைக் கொண்டு பின்னும் அதிகமாகவும் கொடுப்பான். நிச்சயமாக அவன் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும் நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களை அறிபவனுமாக இருக்கிறான்.

அவர்களுக்குரிய நற்கூலியை அவர்களுக்கு அவன் முழுமையாகக் கொடுப்பான்; இன்னும் தன் அருளிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு மிகுதப்படுத்துவான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் மிக மன்னிப்பவன், நன்றியை ஏற்றுக் கொள்பவன்.

காரணம்: (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன், அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய கூலியைப் பூரணமாகக் கொடுப்பதற்காகவும், தன்னுடைய பேரருளிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு அதிகப்படுத்துவதற்காகவும்தான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவன், மிக்க நன்றி பாராட்டுபவன்.

so that He will reward them in full and give them more out of His bounty. He is All-Forgiving, Most Appreciative.

Waallathee awhayna ilayka mina alkitabi huwa alhaqqu musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi inna Allaha biAAibadihi lakhabeerun baseerun

And what We have revealed to you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) of the Book (the Qur'ân), it is the (very) truth [that you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) and your followers must act on its instructions] confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily, Allâh is indeed Well-Acquainted and All-Seer of His slaves.

And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed, Allah, of His servants, is Acquainted and Seeing.

(நபியே!) நாம் உங்களுக்கு வஹ்யி மூலம் கொடுத்திருக்கும் வேதம் முற்றிலும் உண்மையானது. அது தனக்கு முன்னுள்ள வேதங்களை உண்மைப்படுத்தி வைப்பதாகவும் இருக்கின்றது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தன் அடியார்களை நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியே!) நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்துள்ள இவ்வேதம் உண்மையானதாகவும், தனக்கு முன்னால் உள்ள (வேதத்)தை மெய்ப்பிப்பதும் ஆகும்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தன் அடியார்களை நன்குணர்ந்தவன்; பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பவன்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) நாம் உமக்கு வேதத்தால் எதை (வஹீ மூலம்) அறிவித்திருக்கின்றோமோ அதுதான்_ (வேதங்களில்) தனக்கு முன்னிருந்ததை உண்மைப்படுத்தக்கூடியதாக இருக்கும் நிலையில் _ சத்தியமானதாக இருக்கின்றது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தன் அடியார்களை நன்குணர்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

The Book that We have revealed to you [O Prophet] is the truth, confirming that which came before it. Indeed, Allah is All-Aware and All-Seeing of His slaves.

Thumma awrathna alkitaba allatheena istafayna min AAibadina faminhum thalimun linafsihi waminhum muqtasidun waminhum sabiqun bialkhayrati biithni Allahi thalika huwa alfadlu alkabeeru

Then We gave the Book (the Qur'ân) as inheritance to such of Our slaves whom We chose (the followers of Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]). Then of them are some who wrong their own selves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allâh's Leave, foremost in good deeds. That (inheritance of the Qur'ân) – that is indeed the great Grace.

Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah. That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.

பின்னர், நம்முடைய அடியார்களில் நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத் தவர்களை அவ்வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசுகளாக ஆக்கினோம். எனினும், அவர்களில் பலர் தமக்குத்தாமே தீங்கிழைத்துக் கொண்டனர்; வேறு சிலர் நிதானமாக நடந்து கொண்டனர். மற்றும் சிலரோ அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளைப்படி நன்மையான காரியங்களில் முந்திக் கொள்கின்றனர். இதுவே மிகப் பெரும் பாக்கியமாகும்.

பின்னர் நம் அடியார்களில் நாம் எவர்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தோமோ, அவர்களை அவ்வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசாக்கினோம்; ஆனால் அவர்களிலிருந்து தமக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டவர்களும் உண்டு, அவர்களிலிருந்து நடுநிலையாக நடந்து கொண்டவர்களும் உண்டு, இன்னும் அவர்களிலிருந்து, அல்லாஹ்வின் அனுமதி கொண்டு நன்மைகள் செய்வதில் முந்திக் கொண்டவர்களும் உண்டு. இதுவே மாபெரும் பாக்கியமாகும்.

பின்னர், நம்முடைய அடியார்களிலிருந்து நாம் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தோமே அத்தகையோரை அவ்வேதத்திற்கு வாரிசுகளாக்கி வைத்தோம், ஆகவே, அவர்களில் தமக்குத்தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டவரும் உள்ளனர்; அவர்களில் நடு நிலையான வழியில் சென்றவர்களும் உள்ளனர்; அவர்களில், அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளையைக் கொண்டு நன்மையானவற்றில் முந்திக் கொண்டோரும் உள்ளனர்; இதுவே மிகப்பெரும் பேரருளாகும்.

Then We made to inherit the Book those whom We have chosen from among Our slaves. But among them are some who wrong themselves, some follow a middle course, and some are foremost in good deeds with Allah’s permission. That is the great bounty.

Jannatu AAadnin yadkhuloonaha yuhallawna feeha min asawira min thahabin waluluan walibasuhum feeha hareerun

'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens) will they enter, therein will they be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be of silk.

[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.

(அவர்கள்) நிலையான சுவனபதிக்குச் சென்று விடுவார்கள். முத்துப் பதிந்த பொற்காப்புக்கள் அவர்களுக்கு (விருதாக) அணிவிக்கப்படும். அதில் அவர்களுடைய ஆடைகளெல்லாம் மிருதுவான பட்டுக்களாக இருக்கும்.

அ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் நிலையான சுவனபதிகளில் புகுவார்கள்; அங்கே அவர்கள் பொன்னாலும், முத்தாலுமான கடகங்கள் அணிவிக்கப்படுவார்கள். இன்னும் அங்கு அவர்களுடைய ஆடைகள் பட்டா(லானவையா)க இருக்கும்.

(அது) நிலையான சுவனபதிகள்_ அவற்றில் அவர்கள் நுழைவார்கள், அவற்றில் அவர்கள் பொன்னாலான கடகங்கள் அணிவிக்கப்படுவார்கள், முத்துக்களையும் (அணிவிக்கப்படுவார்கள்) இன்னும் அவற்றில் அவர்களுடைய ஆடை பட்டாகும்.

They will enter Gardens of Eternity; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments will be of silk.

Waqaloo alhamdu lillahi allathee athhaba AAanna alhazana inna rabbana laghafoorun shakoorun

And they will say: "All praise and thanks are Allâh's Who has removed from us (all) grief. Verily, our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (good deeds and to recompense).

And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative -

அன்றி (அவர்கள்) "தங்களை விட்டும் எல்லா கவலைகளையும் நீக்கிவிட்ட அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே எல்லா புகழும் உரியன. நிச்சயமாக எங்கள் இறைவன் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும் நன்றி செலுத்துவதை அறிபவனுமாக இருக்கிறான்" என்று புகழ்ந்து (துதி செய்து) கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

“எங்களை விட்டு (எல்லாக்)கவலைகளையும் போக்கிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே எல்லாப் புகழும் உரியதாகும்; நிச்சயமாக எங்கள் இறைவன் மிக மன்னிப்பவன்; நன்றியை ஏற்றுக் கொள்பவன்” என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் “எங்களை விட்டு கவலையைப் போக்கிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே புகழ் அனைத்தும் உரித்தாகும், நிச்சயமாக எங்கள் இரட்சகன் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவன், மிக்க நன்றி பாராட்டுபவன்” என்று (புகழ்ந்து) கூறுவார்கள்.

And they will say, “All praise be to Allah Who has taken away from us all sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is All-Forgiving, Most Appreciative,

Allathee ahallana dara almuqamati min fadlihi la yamassuna feeha nasabun wala yamassuna feeha lughoobun

Who, out of His Grace, has lodged us in a home that will last forever, where toil will touch us not, nor weariness will touch us."

He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."

"அவனே தன்னுடைய அருளைக் கொண்டு (மிக்க மேலான) ஒரு இல்லத்தில் எங்களை அமர்த்தினான். அதில் யாதொரு கஷ்டமும் எங்களை அணுகுவதில்லை. யாதொரு சடைவும் எங்களுக்கு ஏற்படுவதில்லை" (என்றும் துதி செய்வார்கள்).

“அவன் தன்னருளிலிருந்து என்றென்றும் நிலையான வீட்டில் எங்களை இருக்கச் செய்தான்; அதில் எந்த விதமான சங்கடமும் எங்களைத் தீண்டுவதில்லை. அதில் எங்களை எந்தச் சோர்வுகளும் தீண்டுவதில்லை” (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்).

“அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், தன்னுடைய பேரருளால் என்றென்றும் நிலையான வீட்டில் எங்களை இறக்கிவைத்தான், அதில் எவ்வித சிரமும் எங்களைத் தொடாது; யாதொரு சடைவும் எங்களை அதில் தொடாது (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்).

He Who has caused us to settle – out of His grace – in the everlasting home, wherein no weariness or fatigue will touch us.”

Waallatheena kafaroo lahum naru jahannama la yuqda AAalayhim fayamootoo wala yukhaffafu AAanhum min AAathabiha kathalika najzee kulla kafoorin

But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), for them will be the fire of Hell. Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever!

And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.

எவர்கள் (நம்முடைய வசனங்களை) நிராகரித்து விடுகிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு நரக நெருப்புத்தான் (கூலியாகக்) கிடைக்கும். அவர்கள் இறந்துபோகும் விதத்தில் அதில் அவர்களுடைய காரியம் முடிவு செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது. (வேதனையை அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதற்காக உயிருடனேயே இருப்பார்கள்.) அன்றி, அவர்களுடைய வேதனையில் ஒரு சிறிதும் குறைக்கப்பட மாட்டாது. இவ்வாறே நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் நாம் கூலி கொடுப்போம்.

எவர்கள் நிராகரித்தார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு நரக நெருப்புத்தானிருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் மரித்துப் போகும்படியாக அவர்களுடைய காரியம் முடிவு செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது; அன்றியும் அந்(நரகத்)திலுள்ள வேதனை அவர்களுக்கு இலேசாக்கப்படவும் மாட்டாது; இவ்வாறே காஃபிர் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் நாம் கூலிகொடுப்போம்.

இன்னும், நிராகரித்து விட்டார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களுக்கு நரக நெருப்பு உண்டு. அவர்களுக்கு (இறப்பு ஏற்படவேண்டுமென) தீர்ப்புச் செய்யப்படமாட்டாது, (அவ்வாறு தீர்ப்புச் செய்யப்பட்டால்தானே) அவர்கள் இறப்பெய்துவார்கள், அதன் வேதனையிலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு (ஒரு சிறிதும்) குறைக்கப்படவுமாட்டாது; இவ்வாறே ஒவ்வொரு நிராகரிப்போருக்கும் நாம் கூலி கொடுப்போம்.

As for those who disbelieve, for them there will be the Fire of Hell; neither will they be sentenced to death, so that they may die, nor will its punishment be lightened for them. This is how We recompense every disbeliever.

Wahum yastarikhoona feeha rabbana akhrijna naAAmal salihan ghayra allathee kunna naAAmalu awalam nuAAammirkum ma yatathakkaru feehi man tathakkara wajaakumu alnnatheeru fathooqoo fama lilththalimeena min naseerin

Therein they will cry: "Our Lord! Bring us out, we shall do righteous good deeds, not (the evil deeds) that we used to do." (Allâh will reply:) "Did We not give you lives long enough, so that whosoever would receive admonition could receive it? And the warner came to you. So taste you (the evil of your deeds). For the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) there is no helper."

And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.

அதில் அவர்கள் பெரும் சப்தமிட்டு "எங்கள் இறைவனே! (இதிலிருந்து) எங்களை வெளியேற்றிவிடு. நாங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த (தீய) காரியங்களை விட்டுவிட்டு நற்செயல்களையே செய்வோம்" என்று கூறுவார்கள். (அதற்கு இறைவன் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறக்கூடியவன் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுவதற்குப் போதுமான காலம் வரையில் நாம் உங்களை(ப் பூமியில்) உயிரோடு விட்டு வைக்கவில்லையா? (இவ்வேதனையைப் பற்றி) உங்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவர் உங்களிடம் வந்தே இருக்கிறார். அவரை நீங்கள் நிராகரித்து விட்டீர்கள். ஆதலால், நரக வேதனையை) நீங்கள் சுவைத்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள். (உங்களைப் போன்ற) அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்பவர் ஒருவருமில்லை" (என்று கூறுவான்).

இன்னும் அ(ந்நரகத்)தில் அவர்கள்: “எங்கள் இறைவா! நீ எங்களை (இதை விட்டு) வெளியேற்றுவாயாக! நாங்கள் வழக்கமாகச் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த (தீய)வற்றை விட்டும் ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்களை செய்வோம்” என்று கூறிக் கதறுவார்கள். (அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்) “சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கக் கூடியவன் அதில் சிந்திக்கும் பொருட்டு, நாம் உங்களுக்கு நீண்ட ஆயுளைக் கொடுக்கவில்லையா? உங்களிடம் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவரும் வந்திருந்தார்; ஆகவே நீங்கள் (செய்த அநியாயத்தின் பயனைச்) சுவையுங்கள்; ஏனென்றால் அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு உதவியாளர் எவருமில்லை” (என்று கூறுவான்).  

அ(ந்நரகத்)தில் அவர்கள், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! (இதிலிருந்து) எங்களை வெளியேற்றிவிடு, (இனி) நாங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததல்லாத நற்செயலையே செய்வோம்” என்று பெரும் சப்தமிடுவார்கள். (அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்) “நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறக்கூடியவன் நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுவதற்குப் போதுமான நீண்ட காலம் வரை, நாம் அதில் உங்களை (வாழ) விட்டுவைத்திருக்கவில்லையா? மேலும், (இது பற்றி) உங்களுக்கு அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவர் உங்களிடம் வந்தே இருந்தார், ஆதலால் (நரக வேதனையை) நீங்கள் சுவைத்துக்கொண்டிருங்கள், அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு எந்த உதவியாளருமில்லை” (என்று கூறுவான்).

They will be screaming therein, “Our Lord, take us out; we will do righteous deeds, unlike what we used to do.” [They will be told], “Did We not give you long enough lives to take heed for anyone who wished to take heed? And the warner did come to you. So taste! The wrongdoers will have no helper.”

Inna Allaha AAalimu ghaybi alssamawati waalardi innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

Verily, Allâh is All-Knower of the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. Verily, He is All-Knower of that is in the breasts.

Indeed, Allah is Knower of the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and earth. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் மறைந்திருப்பவைகளை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தவன். நிச்சயமாக அவன் உள்ளங்களில் இருப்பவைகளையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானங்களுடையவும், பூமியினுடையவும் இரகசியங்களை நன்கறிந்தவன்; இருதயங்களில் (மறைத்து) இருப்பவற்றையும் நிச்சயமாக அவன் நன்கறிந்தவன்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானங்கள் மற்றும், பூமியில் மறைந்திருப்பதை அறிகிறவன், நிச்சயமாக அவன், இதயங்களில் இருப்பவற்றை நன்கறிகிறவன்.

Allah is the Knower of the unseen in the heavens and earth. He is All-Knowing of what is in the hearts.

Huwa allathee jaAAalakum khalaifa fee alardi faman kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu wala yazeedu alkafireena kufruhum AAinda rabbihim illa maqtan wala yazeedu alkafireena kufruhum illa khasaran

He it is Who has made you successors generations after generations in the earth, so whosoever disbelieves (in Islâmic Monotheism), on him will be his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but hatred of their Lord. And the disbelief of the disbelievers adds nothing but loss.

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.

அவன்தான் உங்களை இப்புவியில் (உங்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின்) பிரதிநிதிகளாக அமைத்தான். ஆகவே, (உங்களில்) எவர்கள் நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களின் நிராகரிப்பின் கேடு அவர்கள் மீதே சாரும். இந்த நிராகரிப்ப வர்களின் நிராகரிப்பு அவர்களுடைய இறைவனிடத்தில் கோபத்தை யன்றி (வேறெதனையும்) அதிகரிக்கச் செய்வதில்லை. இந்த நிராகரிப் பவர்களின் நிராகரிப்பு நஷ்டத்தையன்றி (வேறெதனையும்) அதிகரிக்கச் செய்வதில்லை.

அவன்தான் உங்களை இப்பூமியில் பின்தோன்றல்களாக ஆக்கினான்; எனவே எவன் நிராகரித்து விடுகிறானோ அந்நிராகரிப்பு(டைய கேடு) அவனுக்கேயாகும்; காஃபிர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பு அவர்களுடைய இறைவனிடத்தில் கோபத்தையன்றி (வேறு எதனையும்) அதிகப்படுத்துவதில்லை; அன்றியும் காஃபிர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பு நஷ்டத்தையன்றி (வேறு எதனையும்) அதிகப்படுத்துவதில்லை.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களை இப்புவியில் (முந்தையவர்களுக்கு) பின்தோன்றல்களாக ஆக்கினான், ஆகவே, (உங்களில்) எவர் நிராகரிக்கின்றாரோ அவரின் நிராகரி(ப்பின் பாதிப்)பு அவர் மீதேயாகும்; மேலும், நிராகரிப்போருக்கு அவர்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பு, அவர்களுடைய இரட்சகனிடத்தில் கோபத்தைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) அதிகரிக்கச் செய்வதில்லை. நிராகரிப்போருக்கு அவர்களுடைய நிராகரிப்பு நஷ்டத்தைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) அதிகரிக்கச் செய்வதில்லை.

It is He Who has made you successors on earth. Whoever disbelieves will bear the burden of his disbelief. Their disbelief only increases the disbelievers in contempt before their Lord, and their disbelief only increases the disbelievers in loss.

Qul araaytum shurakaakumu allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina alardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawati am ataynahum kitaban fahum AAala bayyinatin minhu bal in yaAAidu alththalimoona baAAduhum baAAdan illa ghurooran

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "Tell me (or inform me) (what) you think about your (so-called) partner-gods to whom you call upon besides Allâh? Show me, what they have created of the earth. Or have they any share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book, so that they act on clear proof therefrom? Nay, the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) promise one another nothing but delusions."

Say, "Have you considered your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion."

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் (தெய்வங்கள் என) அழைப்பவைகளைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் கவனித் தீர்களா? அவை பூமியில் எதனையும் படைத்திருக்கின்றனவா? அதனை எனக்குக் காண்பியுங்கள். அல்லது வானங்களைப் படைப்பதில் அவைகளுக்குப் பங்குண்டா? அல்லது (அவைகளைத் தெய்வங்களெனக் கூறுவதற்குத்) தெளிவான ஆதாரமாக இருக்கக்கூடிய யாதொரு வேதத்தையும் நாம் அவைகளுக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கின்றோமா? (இவை ஒன்றுமே) இல்லை. (இந்தத் தெய்வங்கள் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளுமென்று) இந்த அநியாயக் காரர்கள் சிலர் சிலருக்குச் செய்யும் வாக்குறுதியெல்லாம் வெறும் ஏமாற்றுதலே அன்றி வேறில்லை.

“அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தித்து அழைக்கும் உங்கள் இணை தெய்வங்களை நீங்கள் கவனித்தீர்களா? “அவர்கள் பூமியில் எதைப்படைத்திருக்கின்றனர்?” என்பதை எனக்குக் காண்பியுங்கள். அல்லது வானங்களின் (படைப்பில்) அவர்களுக்கு ஏதேனும் கூட்டுண்டா?” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பீராக; அல்லது தெளிவான ஆதாரத்தை அளிக்கக் கூடிய வேதத்தை நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்திருக்கிறோமா? எதுவுமில்லை! அநியாயக்காரர்கள், அவர்களில் சிலர் சிலருக்கு வாக்களிப்பதெல்லாம் ஏமாற்றேயன்றி வேறில்லை” (என்று நபியே! நீர் கூறும்).

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக:” அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தித்து அழைக்கும் உங்கள் கூட்டுகாரர்களை நீங்கள் கவனித்தீர்களா? அவர்கள் பூமியிலிருந்து எதைப் படைத்திருக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை எனக்குக் காண்பியுங்கள், அல்லது அவர்களுக்கு வானங்களில் (_அங்கு நடந்தேறும் காரியங்களில்) கூட்டு உண்டா? அல்லது (அவர்களை இணையாளர்களெனக் கூறுவதற்கு) இவர்களுக்கு நாம் வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்து அதிலிருந்து அப்போது அவர்கள் தெளிவான ஆதாரத்தின் மீது இருக்கிறார்களா?” இல்லை, அநியாயக்காரர்கள், அவர்களில் சிலர் மற்ற சிலருக்கு ஏமாற்றுதலைத் தவிர (வேறு எதையும்) வாக்களிப்பதில்லை.

Say, “Tell me about your associate-gods whom you supplicate besides Allah. Show me what they created on earth, or do they have a share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book so they have a clear proof? No, the wrongdoers promise one another nothing but delusion.”

Inna Allaha yumsiku alssamawati waalarda an tazoola walain zalata in amsakahuma min ahadin min baAAdihi innahu kana haleeman ghafooran

Verily, Allâh grasps the heavens and the earth lest they should move away from their places, and if they were to move away from their places, there is not one that could grasp them after Him. Truly, He is Ever Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving.

Indeed, Allah holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease. And if they should cease, no one could hold them [in place] after Him. Indeed, He is Forbearing and Forgiving.

வானங்களும் பூமியும் (தத்தம் எல்லையிலிருந்து) விலகிவிடாதபடி தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பவன் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான். (தம் எல்லையில் இருந்து) அவ்விரண்டும் சாய முற்பட்டபோதிலும் அவை சாயாதபடி தடுக்கக்கூடியவன் அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர வேறொருவனுமில்லை. நிச்சயமாக அவன் பொறுமையுடையவனும் மன்னிப்புடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக வானங்களும் பூமியும் அவை இரண்டும் விலகிவிடாதவாறு நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வே தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றான்; அவை இரண்டும் விலகுமாயின், அதற்குப் பிறகு வேறெவரும் அவ்விரண்டையும் தடுத்து நிறுத்தமுடியாது. நிச்சயமாக அவன் பொறுமையுடையவன்; மிக மன்னிப்வன்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், வானங்கள் மற்றும் பூமியை அவையிரண்டும் அதனதன் இடத்திலிருந்து நீங்கி விடாதபடி தடுத்து வைத்திருக்கின்றான், அவ்விரண்டும் அதனிடத்திலிருந்து நீங்கிவிடுமாயின், அதற்குப்பிறகு அவ்விரண்டையும் நீங்கி விடாதபடி தடுத்து நிறுத்த (அவனையன்றி) எவருமில்லை, நிச்சயமாக அவன், சகித்துக் கொள்ளக்கூடியவனாக, மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Allah keeps the heavens and earth from vanishing. If they were to vanish, there is none to sustain them other than Him. He is Most Forbearing, All-Forgiving.

Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim lain jaahum natheerun layakoonunna ahda min ihda alomami falamma jaahum natheerun ma zadahum illa nufooran

And they swore by Allâh their most binding oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than any of the nations (before them); yet when a warner (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) came to them, it increased in them nothing but flight (from the truth).

And they swore by Allah their strongest oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than [any] one of the [previous] nations. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion.

"எங்களிடம் ஒரு தூதர் வருவாராயின் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் மற்ற எல்லா வகுப்பாரையும் விட நேரான பாதையில் சென்று விடுவோம்" என்று (இந்த அரபிகள்) அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது மிக உறுதியான சத்தியம் செய்து கூறினார்கள். எனினும், இவர்களிடம் (நம்முடைய) தூதர் வந்த சமயத்தில் அது வெறுப்பைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) இவர்களுக்கு அதிகப்படுத்தவில்லை.

அவர்களிடம் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவர் எவரும் வருவாராயின் நிச்சயமாகத் தாங்கள் மற்றெந்த ஒரு சமுதாயத்தையும் விட மிக நேரானபாதையில் சென்று கொண்டிருப்பதாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பலமான பிரமாணங்களைக் கொண்டு சத்தியம் செய்தார்கள்; ஆயினும் அவர்களிடம் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவர் வந்த போது, (அது) அவர்களுக்கு வெறுப்பைத் தவிர (வேறெதையும்) அதிகப்படுத்த வில்லை.

இன்னும், தங்களிடம் அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவர் வந்தால் நிச்சயமாக தாங்கள், (அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதர்களைப் பொய்ப்படுத்திய மற்ற) சமூகங்களில் உள்ள எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயத்தாரையும் விட மிக்க நேர் வழியில் ஆகிவிடுவார்கள் என அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது மிக்க உறுதியான சத்தியம் செய்தார்கள். பின்னர், அவர்களிடம் (நம் தூதரான) அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவர் வந்த பொழுது, அவர்களுக்கு அது வெருண்டோடுவதைத் தவிர (வேறு எதையும்) அதிகப்படுத்தவில்லை.

They swore by Allah their most solemn oaths that if a warner came to them, they would surely be more guided than any other community. But when a warner came to them, it only added to their aversion –

Istikbaran fee alardi wamakra alssayyii wala yaheequ almakru alssayyio illa biahlihi fahal yanthuroona illa sunnata alawwaleena falan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tahweelan

(They took to flight because of their) arrogance in the land and their plotting of evil. But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it. Then, can they expect anything (else) but the Sunnah (way of dealing) of the peoples of old? So, no change will you find in Allâh's Sunnah (way of dealing), and no turning off will you find in Allâh's Sunnah (way of dealing).

[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.

(அன்றி) இவர்கள் கர்வம்கொண்டு பூமியில் தீய காரியங்களைச் செய்யவும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்தார்கள். தீயவர்களின் சூழ்ச்சி அச்சூழ்ச்சிக்காரரைத் தவிர மற்றெவரையும் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளாது. (அழிந்துபோன) முன் சென்றவர்களின் வழியைத் தவிர (வேறு எவ்வழியிலும் செல்ல) இவர்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றனரா? அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழிக்கு மாற்றத்தை நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் காண மாட்டீர்கள். (அவ்வாறே) அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழியில் கோணலையும் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் காணமாட்டீர்கள்.

(அன்றியும்,) அவர்கள் பெருமை அடித்தவர்களாக பூமியில் தீமைகளைச் செய்யவும் சூழ்ச்சி செய்தார்கள். ஆனால் தீமைகள் செய்வதற்கான சூழ்ச்சி அ(ச் சூழ்ச்சி செய்த)வர்களைத் தவிர வேறெவரையும் சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளாது; இவர்களுக்கு முன் சென்றோர் (இறைவனுக்கு மாறு செய்து தண்டனை பெற்ற) வழியைத் தான் இவர்களும் எதிர் பார்க்கின்றனரா? அப்படியாயின் அல்லாஹ்வின் அவ்வழியில் (அதாவது, பாவம் செய்தோர் தண்டனை பெறுதலில்) யாதொரு மாற்றத்தையும் நீர் காணமாட்டீர்; அல்லாஹ்வின் (அவ்) வழியில் திருப்புதலையும் நீர் காணமாட்டீர்.

பூமியில் பெருமையடிப்பதையும், தீய சூழ்ச்சியையும் (தவிர வேறு எதையும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகப்படுத்தவில்லை, ஆகவே, நம் தூதரை விட்டும் தூரமானார்கள்). மேலும் தீய சூழ்ச்சி, அந்த சூழ்ச்சிக்காரரைத் தவிர (மற்றெவரையும்) சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளாது, ஆகவே முந்தியவர்களின் வழியைத் தவிர, (வேறு எவ்வழியையும்) இவர்கள் எதிபார்க்கின்றனரா? (இல்லை) ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழியில் யாதொரு மாற்றத்தை நீர் காணவே மாட்டீர், (அவ்வாறே) அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழியில் யாதொரு திருப்பத்தையும் நீர் காணவேமாட்டீர்.

due to their arrogance in the land and plotting evil, but evil plotting only backfires on its own people. Are they awaiting anything other than the fate of the earlier peoples? You will find no change in Allah’s way, and you will find no alteration in Allah’s way.

Awalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim wakanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan wama kana Allahu liyuAAjizahu min shayin fee alssamawati wala fee alardi innahu kana AAaleeman qadeeran

Have they not travelled in the land, and seen what was the end of those before them – though they were superior to them in power? Allâh is not such that anything in the heavens or in the earth escapes Him. Verily, He is All-Knowing, All-Omnipotent.

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.

பூமியில் இவர்கள் சுற்றித் திரிந்து பார்க்கவில்லையா? (அவ்வாறாயின்) இவர்களைவிட பலசாலிகளான இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எவ்வாறாயிற்று என்பதைக் கண்டு கொள்வார்கள். (அவர்கள் எவ்வளவோ பலசாலிகளாக இருந்தும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதனையிலிருந்து தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள முடியவில்லை. ஏனென்றால், வானத்திலோ, பூமியிலோ உள்ள யாதொன்றுமே அல்லாஹ்வைத் தோற்கடிக்க முடியாது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) மிக அறிந்தவனும் பெரும் ஆற்றலுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

இவர்கள் பூமியில் பிரயாணம் செய்து தங்களுக்கு முன் இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு என்னவாயிற்று என்பதைப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? மேலும் அவர்கள் வலிமையில் இவர்களைவிட மிக்கவர்களாக இருந்தனர்; வானங்களிலோ, பூமியிலோ உள்ள எதுவும் அல்லாஹ்வை இயலாமல் ஆக்க முடியது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் யாவற்றையும் நன்கறிந்தவன்; பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

பூமியில் அவர்கள் சுற்றித்திரிந்து, அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படி இருந்தது என்பதை அவர்கள் காணவில்லையா? மேலும், அவர்கள் இவர்களைவிட பலத்தால் மிகக் கடினமானவர்களாக இருந்தனர், (அவ்வாறிருந்தும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதனையிலிருந்து அவர்களால் தங்களைக் காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்ள முடியவில்லை.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ்_அவனை இயலாமையில் ஆக்குவதற்கு வானங்களிலோ, பூமியிலோ எப்பொருளும் இருக்கவில்லை, நிச்சயமாக அவன் (யாவையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாக, மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையோனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Have they not traveled in the land to see what was the end of those who came before them. They were more powerful than them? Allah is not such that something can escape Him in the heavens or on earth. He is indeed All-Knowing, Most Capable.

Walaw yuakhithu Allahu alnnasa bima kasaboo ma taraka AAala thahriha min dabbatin walakin yuakhkhiruhum ila ajalin musamman faitha jaa ajaluhum fainna Allaha kana biAAibadihi baseeran

And if Allâh were to punish men for that which they earned, He would not leave a moving (living) creature on the surface of the earth; but He gives them respite to an appointed term, and when their term comes, then verily, Allâh is Ever All-Seer of His slaves.

And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.

மனிதர்கள் செய்யும் பாவத்திற்காக அவர்களை (உடனுக் குடன்) அல்லாஹ் தண்டிப்பதாக இருந்தால் பூமியில் யாதொரு (மனித) உயிரையும் விட்டு வைக்கமாட்டான். ஆயினும், அவர்களுக்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட தவணை வரையிலும் விட்டு வைக்கின்றான். அவர்களுடைய தவணை வரும் சமயத்தில் (உடனே அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொள்வான்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களை உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

மனிதர்களை அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்த (தீ) வினைக்காக அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை (உடனுக்குடன்) பிடி(த்துத் தண்டி)ப்பதாக இருந்தால் பூமியில் உயிர்ப் பிராணிகள் ஒன்றையுமே விட்டு வைக்கமாட்டான்; ஆயினும், ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணைவரை அவர்களைப் (பிடிக்காது) பிற்படுத்துகிறான்; அவர்களுடைய தவணை வந்துவிட்டால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களை உற்று நோக்குபவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், மனிதர்களை அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்துக் கொண்டவைக்காக வேண்டி அல்லாஹ் பிடி(த்துத் தண்டி)ப்பதாக இருந்தால், (பூமியாகிய) அதன் முதுகின் மீது யாதொரு ஊர்ந்து திரிபவற்றையும் அவன் விட்டுவைத்திருக்க மாட்டான். எனினும், குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட தவணைவரை அவர்களை அவன் பிற்படுத்துகிறான், ஆகவே அவர்களுடைய தவணை வந்து விட்டால் (அவர்களைப் பிடித்துவிடுவான்). எனவே நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தன் அடியார்களைப் பார்ப்பவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

If Allah were to take people to task for what they did, He would not leave a single living being on earth, but He gives them respite for an appointed term. When their appointed time comes, then Allah is All-Seeing of His slaves.
