33 - al-Ahzab (The Confederates)

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu ittaqi Allaha wala tutiAAi alkafireena waalmunafiqeena inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Keep your duty to Allâh, and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites (i.e., do not follow their advice). Verily, Allâh is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.

O Prophet, fear Allah and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

நபியே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே பயப்படுங்கள். நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கும், வஞ்சகருக்கும் (பயந்து அவர்களுக்கு) வழிப்படாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) அறிந்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நபியே! அல்லாஹ்வையே அஞ்சுவீராக! காஃபிர்களுக்கும், முனாஃபிக்களுக்கும் கீழ்படியாதீர். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிபவன், ஞானமிக்கவன்.

நபியே! நீர் அல்லாஹ்வை பயந்துகொள்வீராக! நிராகரிப்போருக்கும், (வேஷதாரிகளான) முனாஃபிக்குகளுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படியாதிருப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவையும்) நன்கறிகிறவனாக, தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

O Prophet, fear Allah and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

WaittabiAA ma yooha ilayka min rabbika inna Allaha kana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran

And follow that which is revealed to you from your Lord. Verily, Allâh is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

And follow that which is revealed to you from your Lord. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

உங்களது இறைவனால் உங்களுக்கு வஹ்யி மூலம் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டவைகளையே நீங்கள் பின்பற்றுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கறிபவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

இன்னும் (நபியே!) உம்முடைய இறைவனிடமிருந்து உமக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படுவதையே நீர் பின்பற்றுவீராக; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

இன்னும், (நபியே!) உமதிரட்சகனிடமிருந்து உமக்கு (வஹீ மூலம்) அறிவிக்கப்படுவதையே நீர் பின்பற்றுவீராக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நன்குணர்பவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord. Indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Watawakkal AAala Allahi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan

And put your trust in Allâh, and Sufficient is Allâh as a Wakîl (Trustee or Disposer of affairs).

And rely upon Allah; and sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடமே பொறுப்பை ஒப்படையுங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வே (உங்களுக்குப்) பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொள்ள போதுமானவன்.

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வையே நீர் முற்றிலும் நம்புவீராக; அல்லாஹ்வே (உமக்குப்) பாதுகாவலனாக இருக்கப் போதுமானவன்.

மேலும், நீர் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது (அவனிடமே சகல பொறுப்பையும் ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) நம்பிக்கை வைப்பீராக! (உமது காரியங்களுக்குப்) பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொள்கிறவனாக இருக்க அல்லாஹ்வே போதுமானவன்.

Put your trust in Allah; sufficient is Allah as a Disposer of Affairs.

Ma jaAAala Allahu lirajulin min qalbayni fee jawfihi wama jaAAala azwajakumu allaee tuthahiroona minhunna ommahatikum wama jaAAala adAAiyaakum abnaakum thalikum qawlukum biafwahikum waAllahu yaqoolu alhaqqa wahuwa yahdee alssabeela

Allâh has not made for any man two hearts inside his body. Neither has He made your wives whom you declare to be like your mothers' backs, your real mothers [Az-Zihâr is the saying of a husband to his wife, "You are to me like the back of my mother," i.e., you are unlawful for me to approach] nor has He made your adopted sons your real sons. That is but your saying with your mouths. But Allâh says the truth, and He guides to the (Right) Way.

Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior. And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful your mothers. And he has not made your adopted sons your [true] sons. That is [merely] your saying by your mouths, but Allah says the truth, and He guides to the [right] way.

எம்மனிதருடைய நெஞ்சிலும் இரண்டு உள்ளங்களை அல்லாஹ் அமைக்கவில்லை. (ஆகவே, இயற்கை முறைப்படி மனிதர்களுக்குள் ஏற்படும் சம்பந்தங்களே உண்மையான சம்பந்தமாகும். வாயால் கூறும் சம்பந்த முறைகள் எல்லாம் உண்மையாகாது. ஆகவே, நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் விவாகரத்தைக் கருதி) உங்கள் மனைவிகளில் எவரையும் நீங்கள் உங்கள் தாய் என்று கூறுவதனால் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை உங்களுடைய (உண்மைத்) தாயாக்கிவிட மாட்டான். (அவ்வாறே உங்களுக்குப் பிறக்காத எவரையும் உங்களுடைய பிள்ளை என்றும்) நீங்கள் தத்தெடுத்துக் கொள்வதனால் அவர்களை உங்கள் (உண்மைச்) சந்ததிகளாக்கிவிட மாட்டான். இவை அனைத்தும் உங்கள் வாய்களால் கூறும் வெறும் வார்த்தைகளே. (அன்றி உண்மையல்ல.) அல்லாஹ் உண்மையையே கூறி, அவன் உங்களுக்கு நேரான வழியை அறிவிக்கிறான்.

எந்த மனிதனுடைய அகத்திலும் அல்லாஹ் இரண்டு இருதயங்களை உண்டாக்கவில்லை - உங்கள் மனைவியரில் எவரையும் நீங்கள் லிஹார் (என் தாயின் முதுகைப் போன்று அதாவது தாய் போன்று இருக்கிறாள் என்று) கூறுவதனால் அவர்களை (அல்லாஹ் உண்மையான) உங்கள் தாயாக்கி விடமாட்டான், (அவ்வாறே) உங்களுடைய சுவீகாரப்பிள்ளைகளை உங்களுடைய புதல்வர்களாக ஆக்கிவிட மாட்டான். இவை யாவும் உங்களுடைய வாய்களால் சொல்லும் (வெறும்) வார்த்தைகளேயாகும், அல்லாஹ் உண்மையையே கூறுகிறான்; இன்னும் அவன் நேர்வழியையே காட்டுகிறான்.

எம்மனிதனுக்கும் அவனுடைய உட்புறத்தில் இரண்டு இதயங்களை அல்லாஹ் அமைக்கவில்லை, இன்னும், உங்கள் மனைவியரை_அவர்களிலிருந்து (தன் மனைவியைத் தன் தாய் போன்றவள் என்று கூறி) உங்களுடைய தாய்மார்களுக்கு ஒப்பாகக் கூறுகிறவர்களை_ உங்களுடைய (உண்மைத்) தாய்மார்களாகவும் அவன் ஆக்கவில்லை. (அவ்வாறே) உங்களுடைய வளர்ப்புப் புதல்வர்களாகவும் அவன் ஆக்கவில்லை. இவை (யாவும்), உங்கள் வாய்களால் கூறும் உங்கள் வார்த்தைகளே (தவிர உண்மையல்ல.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உண்மையைக் கூறுகிறான், அவனே (நேர்) வழியையும் காட்டுகிறான்.

Allah has not made for any man two hearts inside him, nor has he made your wives – whom you declare unlawful – your real mothers, nor has he made your adopted sons your real sons. These are only words that you utter, but Allah speaks the truth and He guides to the right way.

OdAAoohum liabaihim huwa aqsatu AAinda Allahi fain lam taAAlamoo abaahum faikhwanukum fee alddeeni wamawaleekum walaysa AAalaykum junahun feema akhtatum bihi walakin ma taAAammadat quloobukum wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman

Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers, that is more just with Allâh. But if you know not their father's (names, call them) your brothers in Faith and Mawâlîkum (your freed slaves). And there is no sin on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, except in regard to what your hearts deliberately intend. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah. But if you do not know their fathers - then they are [still] your brothers in religion and those entrusted to you. And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (வளர்த்த) எவர்களையும் அவர்களுடைய (உண்மையான) தந்தைகளின் பெயர்களைக் கூறி (அன்னாரின் மகன் என்றே) அழையுங்கள். அதுதான் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் நீதமாக இருக்கின்றது. அவர்களின் தந்தைகளை நீங்கள் அறியாவிட்டால், அவர்கள் உங்களுடைய மார்க்க சகோதரர்களாகவும் உங்கள் மார்க்க சிநேகிதர்களாகவும் இருக்கின்றனர். (ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய வயதுக்குத்தக்க முறையில் அவர்களை சகோதரர் என்றோ அல்லது சிநேகிதரென்றோ அழையுங்கள். இவ்விஷயத்தில் இதற்கு முன்னர்) நீங்கள் ஏதும் தவறிழைத்திருந்தால் அதைப் பற்றி உங்கள் மீது குற்றமில்லை. எனினும், (இதன் பின்னர்) வேண்டுமென்றே உங்கள் மனமார கூறினாலோ (அது உங்கள் மீது குற்றமாகும்.) அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவனும் கிருபை உடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(எனவே) நீங்கள் (எடுத்து வளர்த்த) அவர்களை அவர்களின் தந்தைய(ரின் பெய)ர் களைச் சொல்லி (இன்னாரின் பிள்ளையென) அழையுங்கள் - அதுவே அல்லாஹ்விடம் நீதமுள்ளதாகும்; ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய தந்தைய(ரின் பெய)ர்களை நீங்கள் அறியவில்லையாயின், அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு சன்மார்க்க சகோதரர்களாகவும், உங்களுடைய நண்பர்களாகவும் இருக்கின்றனர்; (முன்னர்) இது பற்றி நீங்கள் தவறு செய்திருந்தால், உங்கள் மீது குற்றமில்லை; ஆனால், உங்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் வேண்டுமென்றே கூறினால் (உங்கள் மீது குற்றமாகும்); அல்லாஹ் மன்னிப்பவனாகவும், மிக்க கிருபையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (வளர்த்த) அவர்களை, அவர்களுடைய தந்தைகளுக்கே (அவர்களின் பெயர்களைக் கூறியே) அழையுங்கள், அதுதான் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மிக நீதமாகும், ஆனால், அவர்களின் தந்தைகளை நீங்கள் அறியவில்லையாயின், அப்பொழுது மார்க்கத்தில் உங்களுடைய சகோதரர்களாகவும், உங்கள் சிநேகிதர்களாகவும் இருக்கின்றனர், (இதற்கு முன்னர்) எதில் நீங்கள் தவறுசெய்தீர்களோ (அதைப் பற்றி) உங்கள் மீது எவ்வித குற்றமுமில்லை, எனினும், உங்கள் உள்ளங்கள் வேண்டுமென்று எண்ணுவதே (குற்றமாகும்), மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனாக, மிகக்கிருபையுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Call them [adopted sons] after their real fathers; that is more equitable before Allah. But if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brothers in faith and your patronized associates. There is no blame on you if you make a mistake in that regard, but only for what your hearts intend. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Alnnabiyyu awla bialmumineena min anfusihim waazwajuhu ommahatuhum waoloo alarhami baAAduhum awla bibaAAdin fee kitabi Allahi mina almumineena waalmuhajireena illa an tafAAaloo ila awliyaikum maAAroofan kana thalika fee alkitabi mastooran

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his wives are their (believers') mothers (as regards respect and marriage). And blood relations among each other have closer personal ties in the Decree of Allâh (regarding inheritance) than (the brotherhood of) the believers and the Muhâjirûn (emigrants from Makkah), except that you do kindness to those brothers (when the Prophet joined them in brotherhood ties). This has been written in the (Allâh's Book of Divine) Decrees – (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz)."

The Prophet is more worthy of the believers than themselves, and his wives are [in the position of] their mothers. And those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of Allah than the [other] believers and the emigrants, except that you may do to your close associates a kindness [through bequest]. That was in the Book inscribed.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய உயிர்களைவிட (நமது தூதரான) நபிதான் மிக்க பிரதானமானவர். அவருடைய மனைவிகளோ அந்நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்குத் தாய்மார்கள் ஆவார்கள். (நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஒருவருடைய சொத்தை அடைய) மற்ற நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை விடவும், ஹிஜ்ரத்துச் செய்தவர்களை விடவும், (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களான) அவருடைய சொந்த உறவினர்கள்தாம் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய இவ்வேதத்திலுள்ளபடி உரிமையுடையவர்களாக ஆவார்கள். (ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்கே அவர்களுடைய பங்கிற்கேற்ப பொருளைப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.) எனினும், உங்கள் சிநேகிதர்களில் எவருக்கும் நீங்கள் (ஏதும் கொடுத்து) நன்றி செய்யக் கருதினால் (நீங்கள் ஏதும் கொடுக்கலாம்.) இவ்வாறே வேதத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த நபி முஃமின்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய உயிர்களைவிட மேலானவராக இருக்கின்றார்; இன்னும், அவருடைய மனைவியர் அவர்களுடைய தாய்மார்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். (ஒரு முஃமினின் சொத்தை அடைவதற்கு) மற்ற முஃமின்களை விடவும், (தீனுக்காக நாடு துறந்த) முஹாஜிர்களை விடவும் சொந்த பந்துக்களே சிலரைவிட சிலர் நெருங்கிய (பாத்தியதையுடைய)வர்களாவார்கள்; இது தான் அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதத்திலுள்ளது; என்றாலும், நீங்கள் உங்கள் நண்பர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்ய நாடினால் (முறைப்படி செய்யலாம்) இது வேதத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளதாகும்.

விசுவாசிகளுக்கு, அவர்களுடைய உயிர்களைவிட இந்த நபி மிக முன்னுரிமைக்குரியவராவார், இன்னும், அவருடைய மனைவியர்கள் அவர்களுடைய தாய்மார்களாவார்கள், மேலும், விசுவாசிகளை விடவும், ஹிஜ்ரத் செய்தவர்களை விடவும் சொந்தபந்துக்களே அவர்களில் சிலர் சிலரைவிட அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதத்திலுள்ள பிரகாரம் (ஒரு முஸ்லிமுடைய சொத்தையடைய) மிக உரியவர்களாகவும், (என்றாலும்) உங்கள் நண்பர்களுக்கு ஏதேனும் ஒரு நன்மையைச் செய்ய நாடினால் தவிர (அவர்களுக்கு உங்கள் விருப்பப்படி செய்ய உங்களுக்கு அனுமதியுண்டு). இது வேதத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டதாக இருக்கிறது.

The Prophet has a greater claim over the believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. And blood relatives are more entitled [to inheritance] than other believers and emigrants according to the Book of Allah, unless you do good to your close associates [through bequest]. This is written in the Record.

Waith akhathna mina alnnabiyyeena meethaqahum waminka wamin noohin waibraheema wamoosa waAAeesa ibni maryama waakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan

And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and from Nûh (Noah), Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Mûsâ (Moses), and 'خsâ (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary). We took from them a strong covenant.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We took from the prophets their covenant and from you and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, the son of Mary; and We took from them a solemn covenant.

(நபியே! நம்முடைய தூதை எடுத்துரைக்கும்படி பொதுவாக) நபிமார்களிடமும் (சிறப்பாக) உங்களிடமும், நூஹ், இப்ராஹீம், மூஸா, மர்யமுடைய மகன் ஈஸாவிடமும் வாக்குறுதி வாங்கிய சமயத்தில், மிக்க உறுதியான வாக்குறுதியையே இவர்களிடமும் நாம் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறோம் (என்பதை இவர்களுக்கு ஞாபகமூட்டுங்கள்).

(நபியே! நம் கட்டளைகளை எடுத்துக் கூறுமாறு) நபிமார்(கள் அனைவர்)களிடமும், (சிறப்பாக) உம்மிடமும்; நூஹு, இப்ராஹீம், மூஸா, மர்யமுடைய குமாரர் ஈஸா ஆகியோரிடமும் வாக்குறுதி வாங்கிய போது, மிக்க உறுதியான வாக்குறுதியையே அவர்களிடம் நாம் வாங்கினோம்.

மேலும், நபிமார்களிடமிருந்தும்_உம்மிடமிருந்தும், நூஹிடமிருந்தும் இன்னும், இப்றாஹீம், மூஸா, மர்யமுடைய மகன் ஈஸா ஆகியோரிடமிருந்தும் அவர்களின் உறுதிமொழியையே நாம் எடுத்த சமயத்தில்_அவர்களிடமிருந்து மிக்க உறுதியான உறுதிமொழியையே நாம் எடுத்தோம் (என்பதை இவர்களுக்கு நினைவுபடுத்துவீராக! ஏனெனில்.)

And [remember] when We took from the prophets their covenant and from you [O Prophet], and from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, son of Mary; We took from them a solemn covenant

Liyasala alssadiqeena AAan sidqihim waaAAadda lilkafireena AAathaban aleeman

That He may ask the truthful (Allâh's Messengers and His Prophets) about their truth (i.e. the conveyance of Allâh's Message that which they were charged with). And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment (Hell-fire).

That He may question the truthful about their truth. And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment.

ஆகவே, உண்மை சொல்லும் (தூதர்களாகிய) அவர்களிடம், அவர்கள் கூறிய (தூதின்) உண்மைகளைப் பற்றி (இறைவன்) அவர்களையும் கேள்வி (கணக்குக்) கேட்பான். (அவர்களை) நிராகரித்தவர்களுக்கு துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையை அவன் தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கிறான்.

எனவே உண்மையாளர்களாகிய (அத்தூதர்களிடம்) அவர்கள் (எடுத்துக் கூறிய தூதின்) உண்மையை பற்றி அல்லாஹ் கேட்பான்; (அவர்களை நிராகரித்த) காஃபிர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் நோவினை தரும் வேதனையைச் சித்தம் செய்திருக்கின்றான்.  

(தூதர்களான) உண்மையாளர்களிடம், அவர்களுடைய (தூதின்) உண்மையைப் பற்றி அவன் கேட்பதற்காக (இவ்வாறு உறுதி மொழி எடுத்தான்), நிராகரித்தோர்க்குத் துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையை அவன் தயார் செய்தும் வைத்திருக்கிறான்.

so that He may question the truthful about their truthfulness, and He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful punishment.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith jaatkum junoodun faarsalna AAalayhim reehan wajunoodan lam tarawha wakana Allahu bima taAAmaloona baseeran

O you who believe! Remember Allâh's Favour to you, when there came against you hosts, and We sent against them a wind and forces that you saw not [i.e. troops of angels during the battle of Al-Ahzâb (the Confederates)]. And Allâh is Ever All-Seer of what you do.

O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to [attack] you and We sent upon them a wind and armies [of angels] you did not see. And ever is Allah, of what you do, Seeing.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! உங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் புரிந்திருக்கும் அருட் கொடைகளை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். உங்கள்மீது (எதிரிகளின்) படைகள் (அணியணியாக) வந்த சமயத்தில் (புயல்) காற்றையும் உங்கள் கண்ணுக்குப் புலப்படாத படைகளையும் அவர்கள் மீது நாம் ஏவினோம். (அச்சமயம்) நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை அல்லாஹ் உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவே இருந்தான்.

முஃமின்களே! உங்கள் மீதும் அல்லாஹ் புரிந்திருக்கும் அருட் கொடையை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்; உங்களிடம் (எதிரிகளின்) படைகள் வந்த போது (புயல்) காற்றையும், நீங்கள் (கண்களால்) பார்க்கவியலா (வானவர்களின்) படைகளையும் அவர்கள் மீது நாம் ஏவினோம்; மேலும், நீங்கள் செய்வதை அல்லாஹ் உற்று நோக்குபவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! உங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் புரிந்திருக்கும் அருட்கொடையை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள், உங்கள் மீது (எதிரிகளின்) படைகள் வந்த சமயத்தில் (புயற்) காற்றையும், நீங்கள் அதைப்பார்க்கவில்லையே அத்தகைய படைகளையும் அவர்கள் மீது நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம், மேலும், நீங்கள் செய்பவகளை அல்லாஹ் பார்க்கக்கூடியவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

O you who believe, remember Allah’s favor upon you when [enemy] forces came against you, but We sent against them a violent wind and forces that you could not see. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

Ith jaookum min fawqikum wamin asfala minkum waith zaghati alabsaru wabalaghati alquloobu alhanajira watathunnoona biAllahi alththunoona

When they came upon you from above you and from below you, and when the eyes grew wild and the hearts reached to the throats, and you were harbouring doubts about Allâh.

[Remember] when they came at you from above you and from below you, and when eyes shifted [in fear], and hearts reached the throats and you assumed about Allah [various] assumptions.

உங்களுக்கு மேற்புறமிருந்தும், கீழ்ப்புறமிருந்தும் (உங்களைச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டு) அவர்கள் வந்த சமயத்தில் உங்களுடைய திறந்த கண்கள் திறந்தவாறே இருந்து உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் உங்கள் தொண்டைக் குழிகளை அடைத்து (நீங்கள் திக்குமுக்காடி) அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் (தவறாகப்) பலவாறு எண்ணிய சமயத்தையும் நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.

உங்களுக்கு மேலிருந்தும், உங்களுக்குக் கீழிருந்தும் அவர்கள் உங்களிடம் (படையெடுத்து) வந்த போது, (உங்களுடைய) இருதயங்கள் தொண்டை(க் குழி முடிச்சு)களை அடைந்து (நீங்கள் திணறி) அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி பலவாறான எண்ணங்களை எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்த சமயம் (அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு செய்த அருள்கொடையை) நினைவு கூருங்கள்.

உங்களுக்கு மேற்புறமிருந்தும், உங்களுக்குக் கீழ் புறமிருந்தும் அவர்கள் (படையெடுத்து) உங்களிடம் வந்த சமயத்தில், இன்னும் (உங்களுடைய) பார்வைகள் (மாறிச்) சாய்ந்தும், (உங்களுடைய) இதயங்கள் உங்கள் தொண்டை(க்குழி)களை அடைந்துமிருந்த சமயத்தில் (உங்களை அல்லாஹ் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் (தவறாக) பலவாறான எண்ணங்களை எண்ணிய சமயத்தில் (அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குச் செய்த பேரருளை நீங்கள் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.)

When they came upon you from above you and from below you, and your eyes grew wild [in horror], and the hearts reached the throats, and you began to entertain various thoughts about Allah.

Hunalika ibtuliya almuminoona wazulziloo zilzalan shadeedan

There, the believers were tried and shaken with a mighty shaking.

There the believers were tested and shaken with a severe shaking.

அந்நேரத்தில் நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள் பெரும் சோதனைக்கு உள்ளாகி மிக்க பலமாக அசைக்கப்பட்டனர்.

அவ்விடத்தில் முஃமின்கள் (பெருஞ்) சோதனைக்கு உள்ளாக்கப்பட்டு, இன்னும் கடுமையான அதிர்ச்சியினால் அதிர்ச்சிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

அந்த இடத்தில், விசுவாசிகள் (பெரும்) சோதனைக்குள்ளாக்கப்பட்டு மிக்க கடினமான அலைக்கழித்தலாக அலைக்கழிக்கப்பட்டும் விட்டனர்.

There the believers were tested and were severely shaken.

Waith yaqoolu almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun ma waAAadana Allahu warasooluhu illa ghurooran

And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (of doubts) said: "Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] promised us nothing but delusion!"

And [remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease said, "Allah and His Messenger did not promise us except delusion,"

"அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் நமக்குச் சதி செய்வதற்காகவே (வெற்றி நமக்கே கிடைக்குமென்று) வாக்களித்தார்கள்" என்று எவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் நோயிருந்ததோ அவர்களும் மற்ற நயவஞ்சகர்களும் கூற முற்பட்டதையும் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.

மேலும் (அச்சமயம் நயவஞ்சகர்கள்) முனாஃபிக்குகளும், எவர்களின் இருதயங்களில் நோயிருந்ததோ அவர்களும், “அல்லாஹ்வும், அவனுடைய தூதரும் நமக்கு ஏமாற்றத்தைத் தவிர (வேறு) எதையும் வாக்களிக்கவில்லை” என்று கூறிய சமயத்தையும் நினைவு கூருங்கள்.

மேலும், (வேஷதாரிகளான) முனாஃபிக்குகளும், எவர்களின் இதயங்களில் நோயிருந்ததோ அவர்களும், “அல்லாஹ்வும், அவனுடைய தூதரும் ஏமாற்றத்தைத் தவிர (வேறு) எதையும் எமக்கு வாக்களிக்கவில்லை” என்று கூறியதையும்_ (நினைவு கூர்வீராக!)

And [remember] when the hypocrites and those with sickness in their hearts said, “Allah and His Messenger did not promise us but delusion!”

Waith qalat taifatun minhum ya ahla yathriba la muqama lakum fairjiAAoo wayastathinu fareequn minhumu alnnabiyya yaqooloona inna buyootana AAawratun wama hiya biAAawratin in yureedoona illa firaran

And when a party of them said: "O people of Yathrib (Al-Madinah)! There is no stand (possible) for you (against the enemy attack!) Therefore go back!" And a band of them ask for permission of the Prophet [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] saying: "Truly, our homes lie open (to the enemy)." And they lay not open. They but wished to flee.

And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.

அவர்களில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தினர் (மதீனாவாசிகளை நோக்கி) "யஸ்ரிப் வாசிகளே! (எதிரிகள் முன்) உங்களால் நிற்க முடியாது. ஆதலால், நீங்கள் திரும்பிச் சென்றுவிடுங்கள்" என்று கூறியதையும், அவர்களில் மற்றொரு பிரிவினர் அவர்களுடைய வீடுகள் அபாயகரமான நிலைமையில் இல்லாமலிருந்தும் "நிச்சயமாக எங்களுடைய வீடுகள் அபாயகரமான நிலைமையில் இருக்கின்றன" என்று கூறி (யுத்த களத்திலிருந்து சென்றுவிட நமது) நபியிடம் அனுமதி கோரியதையும் நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள். இவர்கள் (யுத்தத்திலிருந்து) தப்பி ஓடிவிடுவதைத் தவிர (வேறொன்றையும்) விரும்பவில்லை.

மேலும், அவர்களில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தார் (மதீனாவாசிகளை நோக்கி) “யஸ்ரிப் வாசிகளே! (பகைவர்களை எதிர்த்து) உங்களால் உறுதியாக நிற்க முடியாது, ஆதலால் நீங்கள் திரும்பிச் சென்று விடுங்கள்” என்று கூறியபோது, அவர்களில் (மற்றும்) ஒரு பிரிவினர்: “நிச்சயமாக எங்களுடைய வீடுகள் பாதுகாப்பற்ற நிலையில் இருக்கின்றன” என்று - அவை பாதுகாப்பற்றதாக இல்லாத நிலையிலும் - கூறி, (போர்க்களத்திலிருந்து சென்றுவிட) நபியிடம் அனுமதி கோரினார்கள் - இவர்கள் (போர்க்களத்திலிருந்து தப்பி) ஓடுவதைத் தவிர (வேறெதையும்) நாடவில்லை.

மேலும், அவர்களில் ஒரு கூட்டத்தினர், (மதீனா வாசிகளிடம்,) “யஸ்ரிப் வாசிகளே! (யுத்தகளத்தில்) உங்களுக்குத் தங்குதல் இல்லை, ஆதலால் நீங்கள் திரும்பிச் சென்றுவிடுங்கள்” என்று கூறியபோது, அவர்களில் (மற்றும்) ஒரு பிரிவினரோ, “நிச்சயமாக எங்களுடைய வீடுகள் பாதுகாப்பற்றவையாக இருக்கின்றன” என்று கூறி, அவை பாதுகாப்பற்றவையாக இல்லாமலிருந்தும், (அங்கிருந்து சென்றுவிட) நபியிடம் அனுமதி கோரினார்கள், (அங்கிருந்து) வெருண்டோடுவததைத் தவிர (வேறெதனையும்) அவர்கள் நாடவில்லை.

And [remember] when a group of them said, “O people of Yathrib, you cannot withstand [the enemy attack], so go back.” Another group of them asked the Prophet’s permission to leave, saying, “Our homes are exposed,” even though they were not exposed; they only wanted to flee.

Walaw dukhilat AAalayhim min aqtariha thumma suiloo alfitnata laatawha wama talabbathoo biha illa yaseeran

And if the enemy had entered from all sides (of the city), and they had been exhorted to Al-Fitnah (i.e. to renegade from Islâm to polytheism), they would surely have committed it and would have hesitated thereupon but little.

And if they had been entered upon from all its [surrounding] regions and fitnah had been demanded of them, they would have done it and not hesitated over it except briefly.

பல பாகங்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்கள் மீது படைகள் முன்னேறி வந்து (அச்சமயம்) குழப்பம் செய்யும்படி இவர்களைக் கோரியிருந்தால் (இந்த நயவஞ்சகர்கள்) குழப்பம் செய்தே தீருவார்கள். தவிர (யுத்த களத்திலும்) வெகு சொற்ப நேரமேயன்றி அவர்கள் நிலைத்திருக்கவும் மாட்டார்கள். (உடனே அங்கிருந்து ஓடிவிடுவார்கள்.)

அதன் பல பாகங்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்கள் மீது படைகள் புகுத்தப்பட்டு, குழப்பம் செய்யும்படி அவர்களிடம் கேட்கப் பட்டிருக்குமானால், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (அதை ஏற்று அவ்வாறே) செய்து இருப்பார்கள்; அதை (குழப்பத்தை) சிறிது நேரமே தவிர தாமதப் படுத்த மாட்டார்கள்.

மேலும், அதன் பல பாகங்களிலிருந்தும் அவர்கள் மீது (எதிரிப் படைகள்) புகுத்தப்பட்டு, பின்னர் குழப்பம் செய்யுமாறு அவர்களைக் கேட்கப்பட்டிருந்தால் அவர்கள் அதனைச் செய்திருப்பார்கள். சொற்பமேயன்றி அவர்கள் அதில் தங்கவுமாட்டார்கள்.

If the enemy were to enter the town upon them from all sides, and they were asked to abandon faith, they would have done it and would not have shown hesitation in it except a little.

Walaqad kanoo AAahadoo Allaha min qablu la yuwalloona aladbara wakana AAahdu Allahi masoolan

And indeed they had already made a covenant with Allâh not to turn their backs, and a covenant with Allâh must be answered for.

And they had already promised Allah before not to turn their backs and flee. And ever is the promise to Allah [that about which one will be] questioned.

அவர்கள் (யுத்தத்தில்) புறங்காட்டி ஓடுவதில்லை என்று அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் இதற்கு முன்னர் நிச்சயமாக வாக்குறுதி செய்திருந்தார்கள். அல்லாஹ்விடம் செய்த வாக்குறுதியை (அவர்கள் மீறியதை)ப் பற்றி மறுமையில் கேட்கப்படுவார்கள்.

எனினும், அவர்கள் (போரிலிருந்து) புறங்காட்டி ஓடுவதில்லை என்று அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் இதற்கு முன்னர் நிச்சயமாக வாக்குறுதி செய்திருந்தார்கள்; ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்விடம் செய்த வாக்குறுதி பற்றி (அவர்களிடம்) கேட்கப்படும்.

அவர்கள் (போரில்) புறமுதுகிட்டு ஓடுவதில்லை என்று அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் இதற்கு முன்னர் திட்டமாக வாக்குறுதியும் செய்திருந்தார்கள், மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி (மறுமையில்) விசாரிக்கப்படுவதாக உள்ளது.

They had already made a covenant with Allah earlier that they would not turn and flee, and the covenant of Allah will surely be questioned about.

Qul lan yanfaAAakumu alfiraru in farartum mina almawti awi alqatli waithan la tumattaAAoona illa qaleelan

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] to these hypocrites who ask your permission to run away from you): "Flight will not avail you if you flee from death or killing and then you will enjoy no more than a little while!"

Say, [O Muhammad], "Never will fleeing benefit you if you should flee from death or killing; and then [if you did], you would not be given enjoyment [of life] except for a little."

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "மரணத்தை விட்டு அல்லது வெட்டுப்படுவதை விட்டு நீங்கள் வெருண்டோடியபோதிலும், உங்களுடைய ஓட்டம் உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு பயனும் அளிக்காது. இச்சமயம் (நீங்கள் தப்பித்துக் கொண்டபோதிலும்) வெகு சொற்ப நாள்களன்றி (அதிக நாள்கள்) நீங்கள் சுகமனுபவிக்க மாட்டீர்கள்."

“மரணத்தை விட்டோ அல்லது கொல்லப்படுவதை விட்டோ, நீங்கள் விரண்டு ஓடினீர்களாயின், அவ்வாறு விரண்டு ஓடுவது உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு பயனும் அளிக்காது - அது சமயம் வெகு சொற்பமேயன்றி (அதிக) சுகம் அனுபவிக்க மாட்டீர்கள்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக, “மரணத்தை விட்டோ அல்லது கொல்லப்படுவதை விட்டோ நீங்கள் வெருண்டோடுவீர்களாயின், அவ்வாறு வெருண்டோடுவது உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு பயனுமளிக்காது, மேலும், அது சமயம் வெகு சொற்பமேயன்றி நீங்கள் சுகம் கொடுக்கப்பட மாட்டீர்கள்!”

Say, “Fleeing will never benefit you if you try to flee from death or killing, even then you will only be left to enjoy life except for a little while.”

Qul man tha allathee yaAAsimukum mina Allahi in arada bikum sooan aw arada bikum rahmatan wala yajidoona lahum min dooni Allahi waliyyan wala naseeran

Say: "Who is he who can protect you from Allâh if He intends to harm you, or intends mercy on you?" And they will not find, besides Allâh, for themselves any Walî (protector, supporter) or any helper.

Say, "Who is it that can protect you from Allah if He intends for you an ill or intends for you a mercy?" And they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or any helper.

(நபியே! மேலும்) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குத் தீங்கிழைக்க நாடினால் அல்லது உங்களுக்கு அருள் புரியவே நாடினாலும் அதனை உங்களுக்குத் தடுத்து விடுபவன் யார்? அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு உதவி செய்பவர்களையும் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்பவர்களையும் காண மாட்டார்கள்.

“அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குக் கெடுதியை நாடினால், அவனிடமிருந்து உங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பவர் யார்? அல்லது அவன் உங்களுக்கு ரஹ்மத்தை நாடினால் (அதை உங்களுக்குத் தடை செய்பவர் யார்?) அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி (வேறு யாரையும்) பாதுகாவலனாகவும், உதவியாளனாகவும் அவர்கள் காணமாட்டார்கள்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

(நபியே! மேலும்) நீர் கூறுவீராக: ”அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து_அவன் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு தீங்கிழைக்க நாடினால்_ உங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பவர் யார்? அல்லது, அவன் அருள் புரிய நாடினால் (உங்களை விட்டு அதனை தடுத்துவிடுபவர் யார்?) அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி அவர்களுக்குப் பாதுகாவலரையும், உதவி செய்பவரையும் அவர்கள் காணமாட்டார்கள்.”

Say, “Who is there that can protect you from Allah if He intends to harm you or show you mercy?” They will not find besides Allah any protector or helper.

Qad yaAAlamu Allahu almuAAawwiqeena minkum waalqaileena liikhwanihim halumma ilayna wala yatoona albasa illa qaleelan

Allâh already knows those among you who keep back (men) from fighting in Allâh's Cause, and those who say to their brethren: "Come here towards us," while they (themselves) come not to the battle except a little,

Already Allah knows the hinderers among you and those [hypocrites] who say to their brothers, "Come to us," and do not go to battle, except for a few,

உங்களில் (யுத்தத்திற்குச் செல்பவர்களைத்) தடை செய்பவர்களையும், தங்கள் சகோதரர்களை நோக்கி நீங்கள் "(யுத்தத்திற்குச் செல்லாது) நம்மிடம் வந்துவிடுங்கள்" என்று கூறுபவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தே இருக்கிறான். (அவர்களில்) சிலரைத் தவிர (பெரும்பாலானவர்கள்) யுத்தத்திற்கு வருவதில்லை.

உங்களில் (போருக்குச் செல்வோரைத்) தடை செய்வோரையும் தம் சகோதரர்களை நோக்கி, “நம்மிடம் வந்து விடுங்கள்” என்று கூறுபவர்களையும் அல்லாஹ் திட்டமாக அறிந்து இருக்கிறான். அன்றியும் அவர்கள் சொற்பமாகவே போர் புரிய வருகிறார்கள்.

உங்களில் (போர்செய்யச் செல்வோரைத்) தடை செய்வோரையும், தங்கள் சகோதரர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் நம்மிடம் வந்துவிடுங்கள்” என்று கூறுவோரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அறிவான், மேலும், (அவர்களில்) சொற்பமானவர்களன்றி (பெரும்பாலோர்) யுத்தத்திற்கு வரமாட்டார்கள்.

Allah knows well those among you who discourage others and those [hypocrites] who say to their brothers, “Come and join us,” and they hardly take part in the battle.

Ashihhatan AAalaykum faitha jaa alkhawfu raaytahum yanthuroona ilayka tadooru aAAyunuhum kaallathee yughsha AAalayhi mina almawti faitha thahaba alkhawfu salaqookum bialsinatin hidadin ashihhatan AAala alkhayri olaika lam yuminoo faahbata Allahu aAAmalahum wakana thalika AAala Allahi yaseeran

Being miserly towards you (as regards help and aid in Allâh's Cause). Then when fear comes, you will see them looking to you, their eyes revolving like (those of) one over whom hovers death; but when the fear departs, they will smite you with sharp tongues, miserly towards (spending anything in any) good (and only covetous of booty and wealth). Such have not believed. Therefore, Allâh makes their deeds fruitless and that is ever easy for Allâh.

Indisposed toward you. And when fear comes, you see them looking at you, their eyes revolving like one being overcome by death. But when fear departs, they lash you with sharp tongues, indisposed toward [any] good. Those have not believed, so Allah has rendered their deeds worthless, and ever is that, for Allah, easy.

(அவர்கள்) உங்கள் விஷயத்தில் கஞ்சத்தனத்தைக் கைக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். (நபியே!) யாதொரு பயம் சம்பவிக்கும் சமயத்தில், மரண தருவாயில் மயங்கிக் கிடப்பவர்களைப்போல் அவர்கள் கண்கள் சுழன்று சுழன்று உங்களைப் பார்த்த வண்ணமாய் இருப்பதை நீங்கள் காண்பீர்கள். அப்பயம் நீங்கி (நம்பிக்கை யாளர்களுக்கு வெற்றி ஏற்பட்டு) விட்டாலோ, கொடிய வார்த்தை களைக் கொண்டு உங்களைக் குற்றங்குறைகள் கூறி (யுத்தத்தில் கிடைத்த) பொருள்கள் மீது பேராசை கொண்டு விழுகின்றனர். இத்தகையவர்கள் உண்மையான நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள் அல்ல. ஆதலால், அவர்கள் செய்திருந்த (நற்)காரியங்கள் அனைத்தையும் அல்லாஹ் அழித்து விட்டான். இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக்க எளிதானதே.

(அவர்கள்) உங்கள் மீது உலோபத்தனத்தைக் கைக்கொள்கின்றனர். ஆனால் (பகைவர்கள் பற்றி) பயம் ஏற்படும் சமயத்தில், மரணத்தறுவாயில் மயங்கிக்கிடப்பவர்போல், அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் சுழன்று சுழன்று, அவர்கள் உம்மைப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதை நீர் காண்பீர்; ஆனால் அந்தப் பயம் நீங்கி விட்டாலோ, (போர்க் களத்தில் எதிரிகள் விட்டுச் சென்ற) செல்வப் பொருள்மீது பேராசை கொண்டவர்களாய், கூரிய நாவு கொண்டு (கடுஞ் சொற்களால்) உங்களைக் கடிந்து பேசுவார்கள்; இத்தகையோர் (உண்மையாக) ஈமான் கொள்ளவில்லை; ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய (நற்) செயல்களையும் அல்லாஹ் பாழாக்கி விட்டான். இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிகவும் எளிதேயாகும்.

(போர்க்களத்தில் கிடைத்த பொருட்களில் அவர்கள்) உங்கள் மீது கஞ்சத்தனமாக இருக்கின்றனர், அப்பொழுது, (எதிரிகளைப் பற்றி) பயம் வந்துவிட்டால், மரணத்தினால் மயக்கப்பட்டவரைப் போன்று அவர்கள் கண்கள் சுழல்கின்ற நிலையில், அவர்கள் உம்மைப் பார்த்த வண்ணமாயிருப்பதை நீர் காண்பீர். அபயம் நீங்கி (விசுவாசிகளுக்கு வெற்றி ஏற்பட்டு) விட்டாலோ நன்மையின் மீது (யுத்தத்தில் கிடைத்த பொருட்கள் மீது) பேராசைக் கொண்டு கூறிய நாவுகளால் (கொடிய வார்த்தைகளைக் கூறி) உங்களை(க் கடிந்து) இம்சிக்கின்றனர். இத்தகையோர் (உண்மையாக) விசுவாசங்கொள்ளவில்லை, ஆகவே, அவர்களின் (நற்)செயல்களை அல்லாஹ் அழித்துவிட்டான். இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக எளிதாக இருக்கிறது.

They are niggardly towards you. When danger comes, you see them looking at you with their eyes rolling like someone in the throes of death. But when danger is over, they slash you with sharp tongues, in greed for gains. Such people have not truly believed, so Allah will render their deeds worthless. That is easy for Allah.

Yahsaboona alahzaba lam yathhaboo wain yati alahzabu yawaddoo law annahum badoona fee alaAArabi yasaloona AAan anbaikum walaw kanoo feekum ma qataloo illa qaleelan

They think that Al-Ahzâb (the Confederates) have not yet withdrawn; and if Al-Ahzâb (the Confederates) should come (again), they would wish they were in the deserts (wandering) among the bedouins, seeking news about you (from a far place); and if they (happen) to be among you, they would not fight but little.

They think the companies have not [yet] withdrawn. And if the companies should come [again], they would wish they were in the desert among the bedouins, inquiring [from afar] about your news. And if they should be among you, they would not fight except for a little.

(முற்றுகையிட்டிருந்த எதிரிகளின் ராணுவம் முற்றுகையை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு சென்று விட்டபோதிலும்) அந்த ராணுவம் (இன்னும்) போகவில்லை என்றே இவர்கள் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். அவர்கள் திரும்ப வந்துவிட்டாலோ யாதொரு கிராமத்திற்குச் சென்று (ஓடி ஒளிந்து) மறைவாயிருந்து கொண்டு (நீங்கள் வெற்றி பெறுகின்றீர்களோ தோல்வியுறு கின்றீர்களோ என்ற) உங்களைப் பற்றிய செய்தியை விசாரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். (அவ்வாறு செல்லாது) அவர்கள் உங்களுடன் தங்கிவிட்ட போதிலும், ஒரு சொற்ப நேரமே அன்றி (அதிகமாக) போர் புரியமாட்டார்கள்.

அந்த (எதிர்ப்புப்) படைகள் இன்னும் போகவில்லை என்று அவர்கள் எண்ணுகிறார்கள்; அ(வ் எதிர்ப்பு)ப் படைகள் (மீண்டும்) வருமானால் அவர்கள் (கிராமப்புறங்களுக்கு) ஓடிச் சென்று காட்டரபிகளிடம் (மறைவாக) உங்களைப் பற்றியுள்ள செய்திகளை விசாரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள் - ஆயினும் அவர்கள் (அவ்வாறு போகாது) உங்களுடன் இருந்திருந்தாலும் ஒரு சிறிதேயன்றி (அதிகம்) போரிட மாட்டார்கள்.  

(எதிர்ப்பு) அணியினர் (இன்னும்) போகவில்லை என்றே இவர்கள் எண்ணுவார்கள், (அந்த எதிர்ப்பு) அணியினர் (திரும்ப) வந்துவிட்டால் கிராமப்புறங்களில் அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக வெளியேறிச்சென்று, உங்களைப் பற்றிய செய்திகளைக் கேட்டு விசாரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டுமே என்று விரும்புவார்கள், அவர்கள் உங்களுடன் இருந்திருப்பினும் சொற்பமேயன்றி (அதிகமாக) அவர்கள் யுத்தம் புரிய மாட்டார்கள்.

They think that the confederates have not yet gone. If the confederates were to come again, they would wish that they were away in the desert with Bedouins, asking for news of you. Even if they were among you, they would hardly take part in the fight.

Laqad kana lakum fee rasooli Allahi oswatun hasanatun liman kana yarjoo Allaha waalyawma alakhira wathakara Allaha katheeran

Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day, and remembers Allâh much.

There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.

எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், இறுதி நாளையும் உறுதியாக நம்புகிறார்களோ அவர்கள் பின்பற்றி நடக்கவேண்டிய அழகான உதாரணம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதரிடமே இருக்கின்றது. அவர்கள் (அவரைப் பின்பற்றி நடந்து) அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமாக நினைவு செய்துகொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதும், இறுதி நாளின் மீதும் ஆதரவு வைத்து, அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகம் தியானிப்போருக்கு நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதரிடம் ஓர் அழகிய முன்மாதிரி உங்களுக்கு இருக்கிறது.

(உங்களில்) அல்லாஹ்வையும் மறுமை நாளையும் ஆதரவு வைத்து, அல்லாஹ்வையும் அதிகமாக நினைவு கூர்பவராக இருப்பவருக்கு, அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதரில் திட்டமாக உங்களுக்கு அழகிய முன்மாதிரி இருக்கிறது.

Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example for those who look forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remember Allah much.

Walamma raa almuminoona alahzaba qaloo hatha ma waAAadana Allahu warasooluhu wasadaqa Allahu warasooluhu wama zadahum illa eemanan watasleeman

And when the believers saw Al-Ahzâb (the Confederates), they said: "This is what Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) had promised us; and Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) had spoken the truth." And it only added to their Faith and to their submissiveness (to Allâh).

And when the believers saw the companies, they said, "This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth." And it increased them only in faith and acceptance.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள் (எதிரியின்) ராணுவத்தைக் கண்ட பொழுது "(இதுதான்) அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் நமக்கு வாக்களித்தது. அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் உண்மை யையே கூறினார்கள்" என்று சொன்னார்கள். தவிர (இவை அனைத்தும்) அவர்களுடைய நம்பிக்கையையும் வழிபாட்டையும் அன்றி வேறொன்றையும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகப்படுத்தி விடவில்லை.

அன்றியும், முஃமின்கள் எதிரிகளின் கூட்டுப் படைகளைக் கண்டபோது, “இது தான், அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் எங்களுக்கு வாக்களித்தது; அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் உண்மையே உரைத்தார்கள்” என்று கூறினார்கள். இன்னும் அது அவர்களுடைய ஈமானையும், (இறைவனுக்கு) முற்றிலும் வழிபடுவதையும் அதிகப்படுத்தாமல் இல்லை.

மேலும், விசுவாசிகள் (எதிர்ப்பு) அணியினரைக் கண்டபொழுது, “இது, அல்லாஹ்வும், அவனுடைய தூதரும் நமக்கு வாக்களித்ததாகும். அல்லாஹ்வும், அவனுடைய தூதரும் உண்மையையே கூறினார்கள்” என்று கூறினார்கள், அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தையும், வழிப்படுதலையும் தவிர (வேறெதையும்) அவர்களுக்கு அது அதிகப்படுத்திடவில்லை.

When the believers saw the confederates, they said, “This is what Allah and His messenger had promised us, and Allah and His messenger have told the truth.” And it only increased them in faith and submission.

Mina almumineena rijalun sadaqoo ma AAahadoo Allaha AAalayhi faminhum man qada nahbahu waminhum man yantathiru wama baddaloo tabdeelan

Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allâh [i.e. they have gone out for Jihâd (holy fighting), and showed not their backs to the disbelievers]; of them some have fulfilled their obligations (i.e. have been martyred); and some of them are still waiting, but they have never changed (i.e. they never proved treacherous to their covenant which they concluded with Allâh) in the least.

Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration -

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களில் ஆண்கள் பலர் இருக்கின்றனர். இவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடம் செய்த வாக்குறுதியை உண்மையாக்கி வைத்தார்கள். அவர்களில் பலர் (இறந்து "ஷஹாதத்" என்னும்) தங்கள் இலட்சியத்தை அடைந்துவிட்டனர். வேறு சிலர் (மரணிக்க வில்லை என்றாலும் அதனை அடைய ஆவலுடன்) எதிர்பார்த்தே இருக்கின்றனர். (என்ன நேரிட்டாலும் அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாக்குறுதியி லிருந்து) ஒரு சிறிதும் மாறுபட்டு விடவேயில்லை.

முஃமின்களில் நின்றுமுள்ள மனிதர்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடம் அவர்கள் செய்துள்ள வாக்குறுதியில் உண்மையாக நடந்து கொண்டார்கள்; அவர்களில் சிலர் (ஷஹீதாக வேண்டும் என்ற) தம் இலட்சியத்தையும் அடைந்தார்கள்; வேறு சிலர் (ஆர்வத்துடன் அதை) எதிர் பார்த்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள் - (எந்த நிலைமையிலும்) அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாக்குறுதியிலிருந்து சிறிதும் மாறுபடவில்லை.

விசுவாசிகளில் சில ஆடவர்கள் இருக்கின்றனர், எதன் மீது அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்விடம் வாக்குறுதி செய்தார்களோ அதை உண்மையாக்கி வைத்தார்கள், ஆகவே, அவர்களில் தங்கள் இலட்சியத்தை (வீரமரணத்தை) அடைந்துவிட்டவரும் இருக்கின்றனர், அவர்களில் (அதற்காக) எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பவரும் இருக்கின்றனர், (தங்கள் வாக்குறுதியில்) அவர்கள் மாறிவிடவே இல்லை.

Among the believers there are men who have been true to their pledge with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge, and others are still waiting, and they have not changed in the least.

Liyajziya Allahu alssadiqeena bisidqihim wayuAAaththiba almunafiqeena in shaa aw yatooba AAalayhim inna Allaha kana ghafooran raheeman

That Allâh may reward the men of truth for their truth (i.e. for their patience at the accomplishment of that which they covenanted with Allâh), and punish the hypocrites, if He wills, or accept their repentance by turning to them (in Mercy). Verily, Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

உண்மையுடன் நடந்துகொண்ட இத்தகையவர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் உண்மைக்குத் தக்க கூலியை அல்லாஹ் கொடுத்தே தீருவான். எனினும், நயவஞ்சகர்களை அவன் நாடினால் வேதனை செய்வான். (அவன் நாடினால் அவர்களையும் மன்னிப்புக் கோரும்படிச் செய்து) அவர்களை மன்னித்து விடுவான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும் கிருபையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.

உண்மையாளர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் உண்மைக்குரிய கூலியை அல்லாஹ் திடமாக அளிப்பான்; அவன் நாடினால் முனாஃபிக்குகளை வேதனையும் செய்வான், அல்லது அவர்களை மன்னிப்பான் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க கிருபையுடையவன்.

உண்மையாளர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் உண்மையின் காரணத்தால், அல்லாஹ் (நற்)கூலி வழங்குவதற்காகவும், அவன் நாடினால் முனாஃபிக்குகளை (வேஷதாரிகளை) வேதனை செய்வதற்காகவும், அல்லது அவர்களின் தவ்பாவை அங்கீகரிப்பதற்காகவும் (அடியார்களை இவ்வாறு சோதிக்கிறான்), நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனாக மிகக்கிருபையுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

[It all happened] so that Allah may reward the truthful for their truthfulness, and punish the hypocrites if He wills, or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Waradda Allahu allatheena kafaroo bighaythihim lam yanaloo khayran wakafa Allahu almumineena alqitala wakana Allahu qawiyyan AAazeezan

And Allâh drove back those who disbelieved in their rage, they gained no advantage (booty). Allâh sufficed for the believers in the fighting (by sending against the disbelievers a severe wind and troops of angels). And Allâh is Ever All-Strong, All-Mighty.

And Allah repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was Allah for the believers in battle, and ever is Allah Powerful and Exalted in Might.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களை அவர்களின் கோபத்தில் மூழ்கியவாறே அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைத் தடுத்துவிட்டான். (இப்போரில்) அவர்கள் யாதொரு நன்மையும் அடையவில்லை. (எல்லா விதங்களிலும் நஷ்டமேயடைந்தார்கள். இந்தப் போரில் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை அல்லாஹ்வே காத்துக் கொண்டான்.) இந்தப் போரில் நம்பிக்கை யாளர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ்வே போதுமானவனாக இருந்தான். அல்லாஹ் (அனைவரையும் விட) மிக்க பலவானாகவும், மிகைத்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களை தங்களுடைய கோபத்தில் (மூழ்கிக்கிடக்குமாறே அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைத் திருப்பிவிட்டான்; (ஆதலால் இந்தப் போரில்) அவர்கள் ஒரு நன்மையையும் அடையவில்லை, மேலும் போரில் முஃமின்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் போதுமானவன், மேலும் அல்லாஹ் பேராற்றலுடையவன்; (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.

மேலும், நிராகரித்து விட்டார்களே அத்தகையோரை_அவர்களுடைய கடுங்கோபத்தில் அல்லாஹ் திருப்பி விட்டான், (இந்த யுத்தத்தில்) அவர்கள் யாதொரு நன்மையை(யும்) அடையவில்லை, (அகழ்) யுத்தத்தில் விசுவாசிகளுக்கு (வெற்றியளிக்க) அல்லாஹ் போதுமானவனாக இருந்தான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் (யாவரையும் விட) மிக்க பலமிக்கவனாக (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

Allah has repelled the disbelievers in their rage without gaining any good. And Allah spared the believers from fighting, and Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

Waanzala allatheena thaharoohum min ahli alkitabi min sayaseehim waqathafa fee quloobihimu alrruAAba fareeqan taqtuloona watasiroona fareeqan

And those of the people of the Scripture who backed them (the disbelievers), Allâh brought them down from their forts and cast terror into their hearts, (so that) a group (of them) you killed, and a group (of them) you made captives.

And He brought down those who supported them among the People of the Scripture from their fortresses and cast terror into their hearts [so that] a party you killed, and you took captive a party.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! உங்கள்) எதிரிகளுக்கு உதவி செய்த வேதத்தை உடையவர்(களாகிய யூதர்)களை அவர்களுடைய அரண்மனைகளிலிருந்து இறங்க வைத்து அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் (திடுக்கத்தையும்) நடுக்கத்தையும் போட்டுவிட்டான். ஆகவே, அவர்களில் ஒரு தொகையினரை நீங்கள் வெட்டி விட்டீர்கள்; மற்றொரு தொகையினரை நீங்கள் சிறை பிடித்தீர்கள்.

இன்னும், வேதக்காரர்களிலிருந்தும் (பகைவர்களுக்கு) உதவி புரிந்தார்களே அவர்களை (அல்லாஹ்) அவர்களுடைய கோட்டைகளிலிருந்து கீழே இறக்கி, அவர்களின் இருதயங்களில் திகிலைப் போட்டுவிட்டான்; (அவர்களில்) ஒரு பிரிவாரை நீங்கள் கொன்று விட்டீர்கள்; இன்னும் ஒரு பிரிவாரைச் சிறைப்பிடித்தீர்கள்.

இன்னும் வேதக்காரர்களிலிருந்து, அ(ப்பகை)வர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்தார்களே அவர்களை, அவர்களுடைய கோட்டையிலிருந்து (அல்லாஹ்) இறக்கிவிட்டான், அவர்களுடைய இதயங்களில் கடும் பயத்தையும் போட்டு விட்டான், (ஆகவே) ஒரு சாராரை நீங்கள் கொன்று விட்டீர்கள், (மற்றும்) ஒரு சாராரை நீங்கள் சிறைபிடித்தும் கொண்டீர்கள்.

And He brought down those of the People of the Book who supported them from their fortresses, and cast horror into their hearts: you killed some and took others as captives.

Waawrathakum ardahum wadiyarahum waamwalahum waardan lam tataooha wakana Allahu AAala kulli shayin qadeeran

And He caused you to inherit their lands, and their houses, and their riches, and a land which you had not trodden (before). And Allâh is Able to do all things.

And He caused you to inherit their land and their homes and their properties and a land which you have not trodden. And ever is Allah, over all things, competent.

அவர்களுடைய பூமிகளையும், அவர்களுடைய வீடுகளையும், அவர்களுடைய பொருள்களையும் (இதுவரையில்) நீங்கள் கால் வைக்காத அவர்களுடைய மற்ற பூமிகளையும் (அல்லாஹ்) உங்களுக்கு சொந்தமாக்கித் தந்தான். அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தின் மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

இன்னும், அவன் உங்களை அவர்களுடைய நிலங்களுக்கும், அவர்களுடைய வீடுகளுக்கும், அவர்களுடைய பொருள்களுக்கும், (இது வரையில்) நீங்கள் மிதித்திராத நிலப்பரப்புக்கும் வாரிசுகளாக ஆக்கி விட்டான்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் எல்லாப் பொருட்கள் மீதும் சக்தியுடையவன்.  

இன்னும், (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் அவர்களுடைய பூமி, மற்றும் அவர்களுடைய வீடுகள் மற்றும் அவர்களுடைய செல்வங்கள் இன்னும் (இதுவரையில்) நீங்கள் மிதித்திராத (அவர்களுடைய மற்ற) பூமி ஆகியவற்றிற்கு உங்களை வாரிசாக்கினான், மேலும் அல்லாஹ், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

He also made you inherit their land, their homes and their wealth, and a land on which you have not yet set foot. And Allah is Most Capable of all things.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu qul liazwajika in kuntunna turidna alhayata alddunya wazeenataha fataAAalayna omattiAAkunna waosarrihkunna sarahan jameelan

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Say to your wives: "If you desire the life of this world, and its glitter, then come! I will make a provision for you and set you free in a handsome manner (divorce).

O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you should desire the worldly life and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and give you a gracious release.

நபியே! உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளை நோக்கி நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "நீங்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையையும் அதன் அலங்காரத்தையும் மட்டுமே விரும்புவீர்களாயின் வாருங்கள்! உங்களுக்கு ஏதும் கொடுத்து நல்ல முறையில் (தலாக் கொடுத்து) உங்களை நீக்கி விடுகிறேன்.

நபியே! உம்முடைய மனைவிகளிடம்: “நீங்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையையும், இதன் அலங்காரத்தையும் நாடுவீர்களானால், வாருங்கள்! நான் உங்களுக்கு வாழ்க்கைக்கு உரியதைக் கொடுத்து அழகிய முறையில் உங்களை விடுதலை செய்கிறேன்.

நபியே! உம்முடைய மனைவியருக்கு நீர் கூறுவீராக “நீங்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையையும் அதன் அலங்காரத்தையும் நாடுபவர்களாக நீங்கள் இருந்தால், வாருங்கள்! உங்களுக்கு (வாழ்க்கைகுரியதைக் கொடுத்து) சுகத்தை அளிக்கிறேன், அழகிய விடுவித்தலாக (விவாக பந்தத்தை) விடுவித்தும் விடுகிறேன்.”

O Prophet, tell your wives, “If you seek the life of this world and its embellishments, then come, I will give you provision and release you graciously.

Wain kuntunna turidna Allaha warasoolahu waalddara alakhirata fainna Allaha aAAadda lilmuhsinati minkunna ajran AAatheeman

"But if you desire Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and the Home of the Hereafter, then verily, Allâh has prepared for Al-Muhsinât (good-doers) amongst you an enormous reward."

But if you should desire Allah and His Messenger and the home of the Hereafter - then indeed, Allah has prepared for the doers of good among you a great reward."

அன்றி, நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதரையும், மறுமை வாழ்க்கையையும் விரும்புவீர்களாயின் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்களிலுள்ள இத்தகைய நன்மையைக் கருதுபவர் களுக்கு மகத்தான (நற்)கூலியை தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கின்றான்.

“ஆனால், நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவன் தூதரையும், மறுமையின் வீட்டையும் விரும்புவீர்களானால், அப்பொழுது உங்களில் நன்மையாளர்களுக்காக அல்லாஹ் மகத்தான நற்கூலி நிச்சயமாக சித்தம் செய்திருக்கிறான்” என்றும் கூறுவீராக!

“அன்றியும் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதரையும். இறுதி வீட்டையும் நாடுபவர்களாக நீங்கள் இருந்தால், அப்பொழுது நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உங்களில் (இத்தகைய) நன்மையுடையோருக்கு மகத்தான கூலியை தயார் செய்து வைத்திருக்கிறான்.”

But if you seek Allah and His Messenger and the Final Abode, then Allah has prepared for those who do good among you a great reward.”

Ya nisaa alnnabiyyi man yati minkunna bifahishatin mubayyinatin yudaAAaf laha alAAathabu diAAfayni wakana thalika AAala Allahi yaseeran

O wives of the Prophet! Whoever of you commits an open Fahishah (a great sin or illegal sexual intercourse), the torment for her will be doubled, and that is ever easy for Allâh.

O wives of the Prophet, whoever of you should commit a clear immorality - for her the punishment would be doubled two fold, and ever is that, for Allah, easy.

நபியுடைய மனைவிகளே! உங்களில் எவரேனும் பகிரங்கமான யாதொரு மானக்கேடான காரியத்தைச் செய்வாராயின் அதற்குரிய தண்டனை அவர்களுக்கு இரு மடங்காக அதிகரிக்கப் படும். இது அல்லாஹ்விற்கு மிக்க சுலபமானதாகவே இருக்கின்றது!

நபியுடைய மனைவிகளே! உங்களில் எவரேனும் பகிரங்கமான மானக்கேடு செய்வாராயின், அவருக்கு வேதனை இரட்டிக்கப்படும்; இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிகவும் சுலபமேயாகும்!  

நபியுடைய மனைவியரே! உங்களில் எவர் பகிரங்கமான மானக்கேடான ஒரு காரியத்தைச் செய்வாரோ, அவருக்கு இரு மடங்காக வேதனை இரட்டிப்பாக்கப்படும். இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிகவும் சுலபமானதாகவே இருக்கிறது.

O wives of the Prophet, if anyone from among you were to commit a clear shameful act, the punishment would be doubled for her. That is easy for Allah.

Waman yaqnut minkunna lillahi warasoolihi wataAAmal salihan nutiha ajraha marratayni waaAAtadna laha rizqan kareeman

And whosoever of you is obedient to Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and does righteous good deeds, We shall give her her reward twice over, and We have prepared for her Rizq Karîm (a noble provision – Paradise).

And whoever of you devoutly obeys Allah and His Messenger and does righteousness - We will give her her reward twice; and We have prepared for her a noble provision.

உங்களில் எவரேனும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கட்டுப்பட்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்தால், அதற்குரிய கூலியை அவருக்கு நாம் இரு மடங்காகத் தருவோம். அன்றி, மிக்க கண்ணியமான வாழ்க்கையையும் அவருக்கு நாம் தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

அன்றியும் உங்களில் எவர் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் வழிபட்டு, நல்ல அமல் செய்கிறாரோ, அவருக்கு நாம் நற்கூலியை இருமுறை வழங்குவோம்; இன்னும் அவருக்கு கண்ணியமான உணவையும் சித்தம் செய்திருக்கிறோம்.

அன்றியும், உங்களில் எவர் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படிந்து, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்கிறாரோ, அவருக்குரிய (நற்)கூலியை அவருக்கு நாம் இரு முறை தருவோம், இன்னும் அவருக்கு (சுவனத்தில்) மிக்க கண்ணியமான உணவை நாம் தயார் படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கின்றோம்.

But whoever among you devoutly obeys Allah and His Messenger and does righteous deeds, We will give her a double reward, and We have prepared for her an honorable provision.

Ya nisaa alnnabiyyi lastunna kaahadin mina alnnisai ini ittaqaytunna fala takhdaAAna bialqawli fayatmaAAa allathee fee qalbihi maradun waqulna qawlan maAAroofan

O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allâh), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner.

O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.

நபியுடைய மனைவிகளே! நீங்கள் மற்ற (சாதாரண) பெண்களைப் போன்றவர்களல்ல. நீங்கள் (மெய்யாகவே) அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயப்பட்டவர்களாயின் (அந்நியருடன் பேசும் சமயத்தில்) நளினமாகப் பேசாதீர்கள். ஏனென்றால் (பாவ) நோய் இருக்கும் உள்ளத்தையுடையவர் (தவறான) விருப்பங்களைக் கொள்ளக்கூடும். ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (எதைக் கூறியபோதிலும்) யதார்த்தவாதிகளைப் போல் (கண்டிப்பாகப்) பேசிவிடுங்கள்.

நபியின் மனைவிகளே! நீங்கள் பெண்களில் மற்றப் பெண்களைப் போலல்ல; நீங்கள் இறையச்சத்தோடு இருக்க விரும்பினால், (அந்நியருடன் நடத்தும்) பேச்சில் நளினம் காட்டாதீர்கள். ஏனெனில் எவன் உள்ளத்தில் நோய் (தவறான நோக்கம்) இருக்கின்றதோ, அ(த்தகைய)வன் ஆசை கொள்வான்; இன்னும் நீங்கள் நல்ல பேச்சே பேசுங்கள்.

நபியுடைய மனைவியரே! நீங்கள் (இதர) பெண்களில் எந்த ஒருவரைப் போன்றவர்களுமல்லர், நீங்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) பயந்து கொண்டவர்களானால் (அந்நியருடன்) பேச்சில் நீங்கள் நளினம் காட்டாதீர்கள், ஏனென்றால், எவனுடைய இதயத்தில் (பாவ) நோய் இருக்கின்றதோ அத்தகையவன் (தவறான விருப்பங்களில்) ஆசை கொள்வான், மேலும், நீங்கள் (நேர்மையான) பேச்சையே பேசிவிடுங்கள்.

O wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other women: if you fear Allah, do not be complaisant in your speech, lest those with sickness in their hearts should be moved with desire; but speak in an appropriate manner.

Waqarna fee buyootikunna wala tabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati aloola waaqimna alssalata waateena alzzakata waatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureedu Allahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa ahla albayti wayutahhirakum tatheeran

And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salât (the prayers), and give Zakât (obligatory charity) and obey Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]. Allâh wishes only to remove Ar-Rijs (evil deeds and sins) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet ), and to purify you with a thorough purification.

And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance. And establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification.

(நபியுடைய மனைவிகளே!) நீங்கள் உங்கள் (வீடுகளில் இருந்து வெளிச்சென்று திரியாது) வீடுகளுக்குள்ளாகவே தங்கி இருங்கள். முன்னிருந்த அறியாத மக்கள் (தங்களை அலங்கரித்துக் கொண்டு வெளியில் சென்று)திரிந்து கொண்டிருந்ததைப் போல் நீங்களும் திரியாதீர்கள். தொழுகையை கடைப்பிடித்தொழுகுங்கள்; ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கட்டுப்பட்டு நடங்கள். (நபியுடைய) வீட்டுடையார்களே! உங்களை விட்டு எல்லா அசுத்தங்களை நீக்கி, உங்களை முற்றிலும் பரிசுத்தமாக்கிவிடவே அல்லாஹ் விரும்புகின்றான்.

(நபியின் மனைவிகளே!) நீங்கள் உங்கள் வீடுகளிலேயே தங்கியிருங்கள்; முன்னர் அஞ்ஞான காலத்தில் (பெண்கள்) திரிந்து கொண்டிருந்ததைப் போல் நீங்கள் திரியாதீர்கள்; தொழுகையை முறைப்படி உறுதியுடன் கடைப்பிடித்து தொழுங்கள்; ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்படியுங்கள்; (நபியின்) வீட்டையுடையவர்களே! உங்களை விட்டும் அசுத்தங்களை நீக்கி, உங்களை முற்றிலும் பரிசுத்தமாக்கிவிடவே அல்லாஹ் நாடுகிறான்.

இன்னும், (நபியுடைய மனைவியரே!) நீங்கள் உங்கள் வீடுகளிலேயே தங்கியிருங்கள். முந்தைய அறியாமைக் காலத்தில் (பெண்கள் மறைக்க வேண்டியதை மறக்காது) வெளிப்படுத்தியதைப் போன்று வெளிப்படுத்தித் திரியாதீர்கள், மேலும், தொழுகையை நிறைவேற்றுங்கள், ஜகாத்தையும் கொடு(த்து வாரு)ங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள், (நபியுடைய) வீட்டினரே! அல்லாஹ் நாடுவதெல்லாம் உங்களை விட்டும் (சகல) அசுத்தத்தைப் போக்கி உங்களை முற்றிலும் பரிசுத்தமாக்குவதையும்தான்.

Stay in your homes and do not display your charms as was done in the former days of ignorance; establish prayer and give Zakah; and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only intends to keep evil away from you, O members of the [Prophet’s] household, and to completely purify you.

Waothkurna ma yutla fee buyootikunna min ayati Allahi waalhikmati inna Allaha kana lateefan khabeeran

And remember (O you the members of the Prophet's family, the Graces of your Lord), that which is recited in your houses of the Verses of Allâh and Al-Hikmah (i.e. Prophet's Sunnah – legal ways, so give your thanks to Allâh and glorify His Praises for this Qur'ân and the Sunnah). Verily, Allâh is Ever Most Courteous, Well-Acquainted (with all things).

And remember what is recited in your houses of the verses of Allah and wisdom. Indeed, Allah is ever Subtle and Acquainted [with all things].

உங்கள் வீடுகளில் ஓதப்படும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களையும், ஞான வாக்கியங்களையும் ஞாபகத்தில் வையுங்கள். (அவற்றைக் கொண்டு நல்லுணர்ச்சி பெறுங்கள்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் உட்கிருபையுடையவனும், அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும் உங்களுடைய வீடுகளில் ஓதப்படுகின்றனவே அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்கள் (அவற்றையும்) ஞான விஷயங்களையும் (ஹிக்மத்) நினைவில் வைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (உங்கள் உள்ளங்களிலுள்ளவை பற்றி) சூட்சுமமாகத் தெரிந்தவன்; (உங்கள் செயல்கள் பற்றி) நன்கறிந்தவன்.  

மேலும், உங்கள் வீடுகளில் ஓதப்படுகின்ற அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களையும், ஹிக்மத் (எனும் சுன்னத்தை)தையும் நினைவு கூறுங்கள், (அவற்றின் மூலம் உபதேசம் அடையுங்கள்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நுட்பமானவனாக (யாவையும்) நன்கறிந்தோனாக இருக்கிறான்.

And remember what is recited in your homes of Allah’s verses and [prophetic] wisdom. Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware.

Inna almuslimeena waalmuslimati waalmumineena waalmuminati waalqaniteena waalqanitati waalssadiqeena waalssadiqati waalssabireena waalssabirati waalkhashiAAeena waalkhashiAAati waalmutasaddiqeena waalmutasaddiqati waalssaimeena waalssaimati waalhafitheena furoojahum waalhafithati waalththakireena Allaha katheeran waalththakirati aAAadda Allahu lahum maghfiratan waajran AAatheeman

Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh in Islâm) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islâmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allâh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allâh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allâh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord – Allâh), the men and the women who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât and alms), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadân, and the optional Nawâfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allâh much with their hearts and tongues – Allâh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

நிச்சயமாக முஸ்லிமாகிய ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், நம்பிக்கையாளரான ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், (இறைவனுக்கு) வழிப்படும் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், உண்மையே கூறும் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், பொறுமையுள்ள ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயந்து நடக்கும் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், தானம் செய்யும் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், நோன்பு நோற்கும் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், கற்புள்ள ஆண்களும் பெண்களும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய திருப்பெயரை அதிகமாக நினைவுகூரும் ஆண்களும் பெண்களும் ஆகிய இவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் மன்னிப்பையும் மகத்தான கூலியையும் தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக முஸ்லிம்களான ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; நன்னம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; இறைவழிபாடுள்ள ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; உண்மையே பேசும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; பொறுமையுள்ள ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; (அல்லாஹ்விடம்) உள்ளச்சத்துடன் இருக்கும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; தர்மம் செய்யும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; நோன்பு நோற்கும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; தங்கள் வெட்கத்தலங்களை (கற்பைக்) காத்துக் கொள்ளும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும்; அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமதிகம் தியானம் செய்யும் ஆண்களும், பெண்களும் - ஆகிய இவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் மன்னிப்பையும் மகத்தான நற்கூலியையும் சித்தப்படுத்தியிருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக முஸ்லிம்களான ஆண்களும், முஸ்லிம்களான பெண்களும், விசுவாசிகளான ஆண்களும், விசுவாசிகளான பெண்களும், (அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு) வழிபாடு செய்பவர்களான ஆண்களும், வழிபாடு செய்பவர்களான பெண்களும், உண்மையே கூறுபவர்களான ஆண்களும், உண்மையே கூறுபவர்களான பெண்களும், பொறுமையாளர்களான ஆண்களும், பொறுமையாளர்களான பெண்களும், உள்ளச்சத்தோடு (அல்லாஹ்வை) பயந்து நடக்கும் ஆண்களும், உள்ளச்சத்தோடு (அல்லாஹ்வை) பயந்து நடக்கும் பெண்களும், தானம் செய்பவர்களான ஆண்களும், தானம் செய்பவர்களான பெண்களும், நோன்பு நோற்பவர்களான ஆண்களும், நோன்பு நோற்பவர்களான பெண்களும், தங்கள் மர்மஸ்தானங்களைக் காத்துக் கொள்பவர்களான ஆண்களும், (மர்மஸ்தானங்களைக்) காத்து கொள்பவர்களான பெண்களும், அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமாக நினைவு கூறுபவர்களான ஆண்களும், (அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமாக) நினைவு கூறுபவர்களான பெண்களும்_(ஆகிய) இவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் மன்னிப்பையும் மகத்தான (நற்)கூலியையும் தயார் செய்து வைத்திருக்கிறான்.

Muslim men and women, believing men and women, obedient men and women, truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, and the men and women who guard their chastity, and men and women who remember Allah much – Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward.

Wama kana limuminin wala muminatin itha qada Allahu warasooluhu amran an yakoona lahumu alkhiyaratu min amrihim waman yaAAsi Allaha warasoolahu faqad dalla dalalan mubeenan

It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], he has indeed strayed into a plain error.

It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.

அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் யாதொரு விஷயத்தைப் பற்றிக் கட்டளையிட்ட பின்னர், அவ்விஷயத்தில் (அதனைவிட்டு) வேறு அபிப்பிராயம் கொள்வதற்கு நம்பிக்கை யாளரான எந்த ஆணுக்கும் பெண்ணுக்கும் உரிமையில்லை. (இவ்விஷயத்தில்) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் எவரேனும் மாறு செய்தால், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலேயே இருக்கின்றார்கள்.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய தூதரும் ஒரு காரியத்தைப்பற்றிக் கட்டளையிட்டு விட்டால், அவர்களுடைய அக்காரியத்தில் வேறு அபிப்பிராயம் கொள்வதற்கு ஈமான் கொண்டுள்ள எந்த ஆணுக்கோ பெண்ணுக்கோ உரிமையில்லை; ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய ரஸூலுக்கும் எவரேனும் மாறு செய்தால் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டிலேயே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்வும், அவனுடைய தூதரும் யாதொரு காரியத்தை முடிவெடுத்துவிட்டால், அவர்களுடைய அக்காரியத்தில் சுயமாக வேறு அபிப்பிராயம் கொள்பவதற்கு, விசுவாசியான எந்த ஆணுக்கும், எந்தப் பெண்ணுக்கும் உரிமையில்லை. (அதில்) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் எவர் மாறு செய்கிறாரோ அவர், பகிரங்கமான வழிகேடாக திட்டமாக வழிகெட்டுவிட்டார்.

It is not for a believing man or woman – when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter – to have any other choice in their matter. Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone astray.

Waith taqoolu lillathee anAAama Allahu AAalayhi waanAAamta AAalayhi amsik AAalayka zawjaka waittaqi Allaha watukhfee fee nafsika ma Allahu mubdeehi watakhsha alnnasa waAllahu ahaqqu an takhshahu falamma qada zaydun minha wataran zawwajnakaha likay la yakoona AAala almumineena harajun fee azwaji adAAiyaihim itha qadaw minhunna wataran wakana amru Allahi mafAAoolan

And (remember) when you said to him (Zaid bin Hârithah [radhi-yAllâhu 'anhu]? – the freed-slave of the Prophet ) on whom Allâh has bestowed grace (by guiding him to Islâm) and you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] too) have done favour (by manumitting him): "Keep your wife to yourself, and fear Allâh." But you did hide in yourself (i.e. what Allâh has already made known to you that He will give her to you in marriage) that which Allâh will make manifest, you did fear the people (i.e., their saying that Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] married the divorced wife of his manumitted slave) whereas Allâh had a better right that you should fear Him. So when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her (i.e. divorced her), We gave her to you in marriage, so that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the believers in respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (i.e. they have divorced them). And Allâh's Command must be fulfilled.

And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have need of them. And ever is the command of Allah accomplished.

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வும், நீங்களும் எவருக்கு அருள் புரிந்திருந்தீர்களோ அவரை நோக்கி "நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து உங்களுடைய மனைவியை (நீக்காது) உங்களிடமே நிறுத்திக் கொள்ளுங்கள்" என்று கூறிய சமயத்தில், நீங்கள் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயந்து அல்லாஹ் வெளியாக்க இருப்பதை உங்கள் மனத்தில் மறைத்தீர்கள். நீங்கள் பயப்படத் தகுதி உடையவன் அல்லாஹ்தான் (மனிதர்கள் அல்ல.) "ஜைது" (என்பவர் மனம் மாறி, தன் மனைவியைத்) தலாக்கு கூறிவிட்ட பின்னர் நாம் அப்பெண்ணை உங்களுக்கு திருமணம் செய்து வைத்தோம். ஏனென்றால், நம்பிக்கை யாளர்களால் (தத்தெடுத்து) வளர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள் தங்கள் மனைவிகளைத் தலாக்குக் கூறிவிட்டால், அவர்களை வளர்த்தவர்கள் அப்பெண்களை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்வதில் யாதொரு தடையிருக்கக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக இது நடைபெற்றே தீரவேண்டிய அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளை ஆகும்.

(நபியே!) எவருக்கு அல்லாஹ்வும் அருள் புரிந்து, நீரும் அவர் மீது அருள் புரிந்தீரோ, அவரிடத்தில் நீர்: “அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து நீர் உம் மனைவியை (விவாக விலக்குச் செய்து விடாமல்) உம்மிடமே நிறுத்தி வைத்துக் கொள்ளும்” என்று சொன்ன போது அல்லாஹ் வெளியாக்க இருந்ததை, மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயந்து நீர் உம்முடைய மனத்தில் மறைத்து வைத்திருந்தீர்; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் அவன் தான், நீர் பயப்படுவதற்குத் தகுதியுடையவன்; ஆகவே ஜைது அவளை விவாக விலக்கு செய்துவிட்ட பின்னர் நாம் அவளை உமக்கு மணம் செய்வித்தோம்; ஏனென்றால் முஃமின்களால் (சுவீகரித்து) வளர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள், தம் மனைவிமார்களை விவாகரத்துச் செய்து விட்டால், அ(வர்களை வளர்த்த)வர்கள் அப்பெண்களை மணந்து கொள்வதில் யாதொரு தடையுமிருக்கக் கூடாது என்பதற்காக (இது) நடைபெற்றே தீர வேண்டிய அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளையாகும்.

அல்லாஹ் எவருக்கு (நேர் வழி காட்டுவதன் மூலம்) அருள் புரிந்து, நீரும் எவருக்கு (அடிமைத்தனத்திலிருந்து உரிமை விடுவதன் மூலம்) உபகாரம் செய்தீரோ அவரிடத்தில் “(ஜைனபு ஆகிய) உம்முடைய மனைவியை (விவாக பந்தத்திலிருந்து நீக்காது) உம்மிடமே (மனைவியாக) நிறுத்திக் கொள்ளும், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு பயந்து கொள்ளும்” என்று நீர் கூறிய சமயத்தில்_(நடந்த இச்சம்பவத்தை நினைவு கூர்வீராக) அல்லாஹ் வெளியாக்க இருந்ததை நீர் உம் மனதில் மறைந்திருந்தீர். மேலும், மனிதர்களுக்கு நீர் பயப்படுகிறீர், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்_அவன்தான் நீர் பயப்படுவதற்கு மிக உரியவன் (மனிதர்களல்ல). ஜைது (என்பவர்) ஜைனபைத் திருமணம் செய்து தாம்பத்திய வாழ்க்கை எனும் தன்) தேவையை அவளிடமிருந்து நிறைவேற்றிவிட்டபோது, நாம் அவளை உமக்குத் திருமணம் செய்து வைத்தோம், ஏனென்றால், விசுவாசிகளால் வளர்க்கப் பட்டவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவையை (அப்பெண்களான) அவர்களிடம் பூர்த்தி செய்துகொண்டு (அவர்களைத் தலாக்குக் கூறி)விட்டால், (அவர்களை வளர்த்த) விசுவாசிகள், (அவ்வாறு தலாக் கூறப்பட்ட) அப்பெண்களை திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதில் யாதொரு குற்றமிருக்கக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக (உமக்கு, உமது வளர்ப்பு மகனால் விவாகரத்துச் செய்யப்பட்ட ஜைனபை திருமணம் செய்துவைத்தோம்.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளை (இவ்வாறு) நடைபெற்றுத்தீர வேண்டியதாக இருந்தது.

And [remember, O Prophet] when you were saying to the one who was favored by Allah and favored by you, “Keep your wife and fear Allah.” You were concealing in your heart what Allah was going to reveal, and you were fearing people, while it was more fitting that you should fear Allah. When Zayd no longer had desire for her, We gave her to you in marriage, so that there would be no restraint for the believers in marrying the ex-wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have desire for them. And Allah’s decree is bound to be fulfilled.

Ma kana AAala alnnabiyyi min harajin feema farada Allahu lahu sunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu wakana amru Allahi qadaran maqdooran

There is no blame on the Prophet [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] in that which Allâh has made legal for him. That has been Allâh's way with those who have passed away of (the Prophets of) old. And the Command of Allâh is a decree determined.

There is not to be upon the Prophet any discomfort concerning that which Allah has imposed upon him. [This is] the established way of Allah with those [prophets] who have passed on before. And ever is the command of Allah a destiny decreed.

அல்லாஹ் விதித்த யாதொரு காரியத்தை நிறைவேற்றுவது நபி மீது குற்றமாகாது. இதற்கு முன் (உள்ள நபிமார்களுக்கு) அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழியும் இதுவே. அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளைகள் முன்னதாகவே நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்டு விடுகின்றன.

நபியின் மீது அல்லாஹ் விதியாக்கியதை அவர் நிறைவேற்றுவதில் எந்தக் குற்றமும் இல்லை; இதற்கு முன் சென்று போன (நபிமா)ர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்டிருந்த அல்லாஹ்வின் வழி இதுவேயாகும் - இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளை தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்ட விதியாகும்.

(ஜைனபை மணமுடிக்கும் விஷயத்தில்) நபியின் மீது அல்லாஹ் அவருக்காக விதியாக்கியதில் எவ்வித குற்றமும் இல்லை, இதற்கு முன் சென்றுவிட்டவர்(களாகிய நபிமார்)களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய) வழியும் இதுவே; இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய கட்டளை தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்ட முடிவாக இருக்கின்றது.

There is no blame on the Prophet concerning what Allah has made lawful for him. Such was the way of Allah with those [prophets] who came before. And Allah’s command is a decree firmly determined,

Allatheena yuballighoona risalati Allahi wayakhshawnahu wala yakhshawna ahadan illa Allaha wakafa biAllahi haseeban

Those who convey the Message of Allâh and fear Him, and fear none except Allâh. And Sufficient is Allâh as a Reckoner.

[Allah praises] those who convey the messages of Allah and fear Him and do not fear anyone but Allah. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.

அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வினுடைய இத்தகைய கட்டளைகளை எடுத்துரைத்தே தீருவார்கள்; அவ(ன் ஒருவ)னுக்கே பயப்படு வார்கள்; அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர மற்றெவருக்கும் பயப்பட மாட்டார்கள். (ஆகவே, நபியே! நீங்களும் மற்றெவருக்கும் பயப்பட வேண்டாம். (இதைப் பற்றி அவர்களிடம்) கேள்வி கணக்குக் கேட்பதற்கு அல்லாஹ் (ஒருவனே) போதுமானவன்.

(இறை தூதர்களாகிய) அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் கட்டளைகளை எடுத்துக் கூறுவார்கள்; அவர்கள் அவனுக்கே பயப்படுவார்கள்; அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி வேறு யாருக்கும் அவர்கள் பயப்படமாட்டார்கள்; ஆகவே, கேள்வி கணக்குக் கேட்பதற்கு அல்லாஹ்வே போதுமானவன்.

(முன் சென்றுவிட்ட) அவர்கள் எத்தகயோரென்றால் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய (இத்தகைய) தூதுச் செய்திகளை (மக்களுக்குக் கூடுதல் குறைவின்றி) எத்திவைப்பார்கள், இன்னும் அவர்கள் அவ(ன் ஒருவ)னுக்கே பயப்படுவார்கள், அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர மற்றெவருக்கும் அவர்கள் பயப்படமாட்டார்கள், கணக்குக் கேட்பதற்கு அல்லாஹ்வே போதுமானவன்.

those who convey the messages of Allah and fear Him, and they do not fear anyone except Allah. And sufficient is Allah as a Reckoner.

Ma kana muhammadun aba ahadin min rijalikum walakin rasoola Allahi wakhatama alnnabiyyeena wakana Allahu bikulli shayin AAaleeman

Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allâh and the last (end) of the Prophets. And Allâh is Ever All-Knower of everything.

Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) உங்களிலுள்ள ஆண்களில் ஒருவருக்கும் முஹம்மது (நபி அவர்கள்) தந்தையாக இருக்க வில்லை. (ஆகவே, அவர் ஜைதுக்கு எவ்வாறு தந்தையாவார்?) எனினும், அவர் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதராகவும், நபிமார்களுக்கு (இறுதி) முத்திரையாகவும் (இறுதி நபியாகவும்) இருக்கிறார். (ஆகவே, அவருக்குப் பின்னர் யாதொரு தூதரையும் அனுப்பமாட்டான்.) அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

முஹம்மது(ஸல்) உங்கள் ஆடவர்களில் எவர் ஒருவருக்கும் தந்தையாக இருக்கவில்லை; ஆனால் அவரோ அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதராகவும், நபிமார்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறுதி (முத்திரை)யாகவும் இருக்கின்றார்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் எல்லாப் பொருள்கள் பற்றியும் நன்கறிந்தவன்.  

உங்களுடைய ஆண்களில் எவருக்கும் முஹம்மது தகப்பனாக இருக்கவில்லை, எனினும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதராகவும், நபிமார்களுக்கு(க் கடைசி) முத்திரையாகவும், (இறுதி நபியாகவும்) இருக்கிறார், அன்றியும், அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளைப் பற்றியும் நன்கறிந்தோனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the seal of the prophets. And Allah is All-Knowing of everything.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo othkuroo Allaha thikran katheeran

O you who believe! Remember Allâh with much remembrance.

O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமதிகமாக நினைவு கூருங்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமதிகமான திக்ரைக் கொண்டு திக்ரு (தியானம்) செய்யுங்கள்.

விசுவாசிகளே! அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமான நினைவு கூறுதலாக நினைவு கூறுங்கள்.

O you who believe, remember Allah much,

Wasabbihoohu bukratan waaseelan

And glorify His Praises morning and afternoon [the early morning (Fajr) and 'Asr prayers].

And exalt Him morning and afternoon.

காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் அவனைத் துதி செய்து வாருங்கள்.

இன்னும், காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் அவனைத் துதி செய்யுங்கள்.

காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் அவனைத் துதி செய்யுங்கள்.

and glorify Him morning and evening.

Huwa allathee yusallee AAalaykum wamalaikatuhu liyukhrijakum mina alththulumati ila alnnoori wakana bialmumineena raheeman

He it is Who sends Salât (His Blessings) on you, and His angels too (ask Allâh to bless and forgive you), that He may bring you out from darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of Belief and Islâmic Monotheism). And He is Ever Most Merciful to the believers.

It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels [ask Him to do so] that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful.

அவன்தான் உங்களை(ப் பலவகைப் பாவ) இருள்களில் இருந்து வெளிப்படுத்தி பிரகாசத்தின் பக்கம் கொண்டு வந்து உங்கள் மீது அருள் புரிந்திருக்கிறான். அவனுடைய மலக்குகளும் உங்களுக் காகப் பிரார்த்திக்கின்றார்கள். அல்லாஹ், நம்பிக்கையாளர்(களாகிய உங்)களின் மீது மிக்க கிருபையுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

உங்களை இருளிலிருந்து வெளியேற்றி ஒளியின் பால் கொண்டுவருவதற்காக உங்கள் மீது அருள்புரிகிறவன் அவனே; இன்னும் அவனுடைய மலக்குகளும் அவ்வாறே (பிரார்த்திக்கின்றனர்;) மேலும், அவன் முஃமின்களிடம் மிக்க இரக்கமுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்கள் மீது அவன் அருள் புரிகின்றான், இன்னும் அவனது மலக்குகளும் (உங்களுக்காக பாவ மன்னிப்புக் கேட்கிறார்கள்), காரணம், இருள்களிலிருந்து ஒளியின்பால் உங்களை அவன் வெளியேற்றுவதற்காக மேலும், அல்லாஹ் விசுவாசி(களாகிய உங்)கள் மீது மிக்க கிருபையுடையோனாக இருக்கிறான்.

It is He Who confers blessings upon you, and His angels pray for you, so that He may bring you out of the depths of darkness into the light. And He is Most Merciful to the believers.

Tahiyyatuhum yawma yalqawnahu salamun waaAAadda lahum ajran kareeman

Their greeting on the Day they shall meet Him will be "Salâm [Peace (i.e. the angels will say to them: Salâmun 'Alaikum)]!" And He has prepared for them a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).

Their greeting the Day they meet Him will be, "Peace." And He has prepared for them a noble reward.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள்) அவனைச் சந்திக்கும் நாளில் (உங்களுக்கு) "ஈடேற்றம் உண்டாவதாக" என்று ஆசீர்வதிப்பான். அன்றி, அவர்களுக்காக மிக்க கண்ணியமான கூலியையும் அவன் தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கின்றான்.

அவனை அவர்கள் சந்திக்கும் நாளில் “ஸலாமுன்” (உங்களுக்குச் சாந்தியும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக)” என்பதுவே (அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும்) சோபனமாகும், மேலும் அவர்களுக்காக கண்ணியமான (நற்) கூலியையும் அவன் சித்தப்படுத்தியிருக்கின்றான்.

அவனை அவர்கள் சந்திக்கும் நாளில், அவர்களுக்குரிய காணிக்கை “(உங்களுக்குச்) சாந்தி உண்டாவதாக” என்பதாகும், மேலும், அவர்களுக்காக கண்ணியமான கூலியையும் அவன் தயாராக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறான்.

Their greeting on the Day they meet Him will be, “Peace,” and He has prepared for them a generous reward.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu inna arsalnaka shahidan wamubashshiran wanatheeran

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Verily, We have sent you as witness, and a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner,

O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

நபியே! நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை (மனிதர்களுக்குச்) சாட்சியாகவும், நற்செய்தி கூறுபவராகவும், அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவராகவும் அனுப்பி வைத்திருக்கிறோம்.

நபியே! நாம் நிச்சயமாக உம்மைச் சாட்சியாகவும்; நன்மாராயங் கூறுபவராகவும், அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவராகவுமே அனுப்பியுள்ளோம்.

நபியே! நிச்சயமாக நாம் உம்மை (மனிதர்களுக்குச்) சாட்சியாளராகவும், நன்மாராயங்கூறுபவராகவும், அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவராகவும் அனுப்பி வைத்திருக்கிறோம்.

O prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of glad tidings and a warner,

WadaAAiyan ila Allahi biithnihi wasirajan muneeran

And as one who invites to Allâh [Islâmic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allâh (Alone)] by His Leave, and as a lamp spreading light (through your instructions from the Qur'ân and the Sunnah – the legal ways of the Prophet ).

And one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.

அன்றி, அல்லாஹ்வினுடைய உத்தரவுப்படி (மக்களை நீங்கள்) அவன் பக்கம் அழைப்பவராகவும் பிரகாசிக்கும் ஒரு விளக்காகவும் (இருக்கின்றீர்கள்).

இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வின் பால் (மனிதர்களை) - அவன் அனுமதிப்படி - அழைப்பவராகவும்; பிரகாசிக்கும் விளக்காகவும் (உம்மை அனுப்பியுள்ளோம்.)

இன்னும், அல்லாஹ்வின்பால்_அவனின் அனுமதி கொண்டு_(ஜனங்களை) நீர் அழைப்பவராகவும், பிரகாசிக்கும் விளக்காகவும் (உம்மை நாம் அனுப்பியுள்ளோம்.)

and a caller to [the way of] Allah by His command, and as a lamp spreading light.

Wabashshiri almumineena bianna lahum mina Allahi fadlan kabeeran

And announce to the believers (in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) the glad tidings, that they will have from Allâh a great bounty.

And give good tidings to the believers that they will have from Allah great bounty.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் விடத்தில் நிச்சயமாக பெரும் அருள் இருப்பதாக நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு நற்செய்தி கூறுங்கள்.

எனவே! முஃமின்களுக்கு - அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து அவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக பேரருட்கொடை இருக்கிறதென நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

(நபியே!) விசுவாசிகளுக்கு_அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து, நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்கு_பெரும்பேரருள் உண்டு என்று நீர் நன்மாராயமும் கூறுவீராக!

And give glad tidings to the believers that they will have a great bounty from Allah.

Wala tutiAAi alkafireena waalmunafiqeena wadaAA athahum watawakkal AAala Allahi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan

And obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and harm them not (in revenge for their harming you till you are ordered). And put your trust in Allâh, and Sufficient is Allâh as a Wakîl (Trustee, or Disposer of affairs). (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi)

And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites but do not harm them, and rely upon Allah. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

நிராகரிப்பவர்களுக்கும் நயவஞ்சகருக்கும் நீங்கள் வழிப்படாதீர்கள். அவர்களால் (உங்களுக்கு) ஏற்படும் துன்பங்களை நீங்கள் புறக்கணித்து விடுங்கள். (உங்களுடைய எல்லா காரியங்களின்) பொறுப்பை அல்லாஹ்விடமே ஒப்படைத்து விடுங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வே (உங்களுக்குப்) பொறுப்பேற்கப் போதுமானவன்.

அன்றியும் காஃபிர்களுக்கும், முனாஃபிக்குகளுக்கும் நீர் வழிப்படாதீர்; அவர்கள் (தரும்) துன்பத்தை(ப் புறக்கணித்து) விடுவீராக; அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதே முற்றிலும் உறுதிகொண்டு (அவனையே சார்ந்து) இருப்பீராக! அல்லாஹ்வே போதுமான பாதுகாவலனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், நிராகரிப்போருக்கும், (வேஷதாரிகளான) முனாஃபிக்குகளுக்கும் நீர் கீழ்படியாதீர், அவர்கள் (இழைக்கும்) துன்பங்களையும் நீர் (புறக்கணித்து) விட்டுவிடுவீராக! (உம்முடைய சகல காரியங்களையும் அவனிடமே ஒப்படைத்து முழுமையாக) அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது நம்பிக்கையும் வைப்பீராக! பொறுப்பேற்கிறவனாக இருக்க அல்லாஹ்வே (உமக்குப்) போதுமானவன்.

Do not yield to the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and pay no heed to their annoyances. Put your trust in Allah, for Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of affairs.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha nakahtumu almuminati thumma tallaqtumoohunna min qabli an tamassoohunna fama lakum AAalayhinna min AAiddatin taAAtaddoonaha famattiAAoohunna wasarrihoohunna sarahan jameelan

O you who believe! When you marry believing women, and then divorce them before you have sexual intercourse with them, no 'Iddah [divorce prescribed period, see (V.65:4)] have you to count in respect of them. So give them a present, and set them free (i.e. divorce) in a handsome manner.

O You who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is not for you any waiting period to count concerning them. So provide for them and give them a gracious release.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட பெண்களை திருமணம் செய்து அவர்களை நீங்கள் தொடுவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே "தலாக்"குக் கூறி (அவர்களை நீக்கி) விட்டால் (தலாக்குக் கூறப்பட்ட பெண்கள் இத்தா இருக்க வேண்டிய) கணக்கின்படி இத்தா இருக்கும்படி அவர்களை வற்புறுத்த உங்களுக்கு எவ்வித உரிமையும் இல்லை. (அதாவது: அவர்கள் இத்தா இருக்க வேண்டியதில்லை.) நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஏதும் (பொருள்) கொடுத்து அழகான முறையில் (மண வாழ்க்கையில் இருந்து) அவர்களை நீக்கிவிடுங்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! முஃமினான பெண்களை நீங்கள் மணந்து, பிறகு நீங்கள் அவர்களை தொடுவதற்கு முன்னமேயே “தலாக்” செய்து விட்டீர்களானால், அவர்கள் விஷயத்தில் நீங்கள் கணக்கிடக் கூடிய (இத்தத்)தவணை ஒன்றும் உங்களுக்கு இல்லை - ஆகவே அவர்களுக்குத் (தக்கதாக) ஏதேனும் கொடுத்து அழகான முறையில் அவர்களை விடுவித்து விடுங்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் விசுவாசங்கொண்ட பெண்களைத் திருமணம் செய்து, பிறகு அவர்களை நீங்கள் தீண்டுவதற்கு முன் தலாக் கூறி விட்டால், (மற்ற விவாகரத்து செய்யப்பட்ட பெண்களுக்காக) நீங்கள் எதைக் கணக்கிடுவீர்களோ அத்தகைய எந்த “இத்தா”வும் அவர்களின் மீது (நிர்ணயிக்க) உங்களுக்கு (உரிமை) இல்லை. எனவே, நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஏதும் (பொருள்) கொடுத்து அழகான முறையில் (விவாக பந்தத்திலிருந்து) அவர்களை விடுவித்தும் விடுங்கள்.

O you who believe, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before the marriage is consummated, you have no reason to ask them to observe any waiting period, so give them a compensation and release them in a pleasant manner.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu inna ahlalna laka azwajaka allatee atayta ojoorahunna wama malakat yameenuka mimma afaa Allahu AAalayka wabanati AAammika wabanati AAammatika wabanati khalika wabanati khalatika allatee hajarna maAAaka waimraatan muminatan in wahabat nafsaha lilnnabiyyi in arada alnnabiyyu an yastankihaha khalisatan laka min dooni almumineena qad AAalimna ma faradna AAalayhim fee azwajihim wama malakat aymanuhum likayla yakoona AAalayka harajun wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman

O Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])! Verily, We have made lawful to you your wives, to whom you have paid their Mahr (bridal-money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), and those (slaves) whom your right hand possesses – whom Allâh has given to you, and the daughters of your 'Amm (paternal uncles) and the daughters of your 'Ammât (paternal aunts) and the daughters of your Khâl (maternal uncles) and the daughters of your Khâlât (maternal aunts) who migrated (from Makkah) with you, and a believing woman if she offers herself to the Prophet [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and the Prophet [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] wishes to marry her – a privilege for you only, not for the (rest of) the believers. Indeed We know what We have enjoined upon them about their wives and those (slaves) whom their right hands possess, in order that there should be no difficulty on you. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

O Prophet, indeed We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation and those your right hand possesses from what Allah has returned to you [of captives] and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet [and] if the Prophet wishes to marry her, [this is] only for you, excluding the [other] believers. We certainly know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and those their right hands possess, [but this is for you] in order that there will be upon you no discomfort. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

நபியே! நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் எவர்களுக்கு மஹர் கொடுத்து திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டீர்களோ அவர்களையும், அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு (யுத்தத்தில்) அளித்து உங்களது வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்ட பெண்களையும் நாம் உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமாக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றோம். உங்களது தந்தையின் சகோதரர்களின் பெண் மக்கள், உங்களது அத்தையின் பெண் மக்கள், உங்களது தாய்மாமனின் பெண் மக்கள், உங்களது தாயின் சகோதரியுடைய பெண் மக்கள் ஆகிய இவர்களில் எவர்கள் (மக்காவை விட்டு) உங்களுடன் ஹிஜ்ரத் செய்து வந்தார்களோ அவர்களையும் (நீங்கள் திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள நாம் உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமாக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றோம். அன்றி) நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட யாதொரு பெண், தன்னை (மஹரின்றியே) நபிக்கு அர்ப்பணம் செய்து நபியும் அவளை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள விரும்பினால், அவளையும் உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமாக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றோம். (நபியே!) இது சொந்தமாக உங்களுக்கு (நாம் அளிக்கும்) விசேஷ சுதந்திரமாகும்; மற்ற நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கன்று. (மற்ற நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) அவர்கள் மனைவிகள் விஷயத்திலும், அவர்களுடைய வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்ட பெண்கள் விஷயத்திலும் (மஹர் கொடுத்தே திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள வேண்டுமென்றும், நான்குக்கு அதிகமான பெண்களை திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளக் கூடாதென்றும்) நாம் அவர்கள் மீது விதித்திருக்கும் கட்டளையை நன்கறிவோம். (அதனை அவர்கள் நிறைவேற்றியே தீர வேண்டும்.) உங்களுக்கு அத்தகைய நிர்ப்பந்தம் ஏற்படாமல் இருப்பதற்காக (அக்கடமையிலிருந்து) உங்களுக்கு விதி விலக்குச் செய்தோம். அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும் கிருபை உடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நபியே! எவர்களுக்கு நீர் அவர்களுடைய மஹரை கொடுத்து விட்டீரோ அந்த உம்முடைய மனைவியரையும், உமக்கு(ப் போரில் எளிதாக) அல்லாஹ் அளித்துள்ளவர்களில் உம் வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களையும், நாம் உமக்கு ஹலாலாக்கி இருக்கின்றோம்; அன்றியும் உம் தந்தையரின் சகோதரர்களின் மகள்களையும், உம் தந்தையரின் சகோதரிகள் மகள்களையும், உம் மாமன் மார்களின் மகள்களையும், உம் தாயின் சகோதரிமாரின் மகள்களையும் - இவர்களில் யார் உம்முடன் ஹிஜ்ரத் செய்து வந்தார்களோ அவர்களை (நாம் உமக்கு விவாகத்திற்கு ஹலாலாக்கினோம்); அன்றியும் முஃமினான ஒரு பெண் நபிக்குத் தன்னை அர்ப்பணித்து, நபியும் அவளை மணந்து கொள்ள விரும்பினால் அவளையும் (மணக்க நாம் உம்மை அனுமதிக்கின்றோம்); இது மற்ற முஃமின்களுக்கன்றி உமக்கே (நாம் இத்தகு உரிமையளித்தோம்; மற்ற முஃமின்களைப் பொறுத்தவரை) அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய மனைவிமார்களையும், அவர்களுடைய வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களையும் பற்றி நாம் கடமையாக்கியுள்ளதை நன்கறிவோம்; உமக்கு ஏதும் நிர்ப்பந்தங்கள் ஏற்படாதிருக்கும் பொருட்டே (விதி விலக்களித்தோம்); மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க அன்புடையவன்.

நபியே! எவர்களின் மஹர்களை நீர் கொடுத்து விட்டீரோ அத்தகைய உம்முடைய மனைவியரையும், அல்லாஹ் உமக்கு (யுத்தத்தில்) அளித்து உம் வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களையும், (மக்காவை விட்டு) உம்முடன் ஹிஜ்ரத் செய்து வந்தார்களே அத்தகைய உம் தந்தையின் சகோதரரின் புதல்வியரையும், உம் தந்தையின் சகோதரிகளுடைய புதல்வியரையும், உமது தாய் மாமனின் புதல்வியரையும், உம் தாயின் சகோதரிகளுடைய புதல்வியரையும் மஹர் கொடுத்து நீர் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ள) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு ஆகுமாக்கி வைத்திருக்கின்றோம், மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட ஒரு பெண், தன்னை (மஹரின்றியே) நபிக்கு அர்ப்பணம் செய்து, நபியும் அவளைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ள விரும்பினால், (அவளையும் மணக்க உமக்கு அனுமதி அளித்தோம்.) நபியே! இது மற்ற விசுவாசிகளுக்கன்றி உமக்கு மட்டும் பிரத்தியேகமாக உள்ளதாகும், (மற்ற விசுவாசிகள்) அவர்கள் மனைவியரிலும், அவர்களுடைய வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவற்றிலும், நாம் அவர்கள் மீது விதித்திருக்கும் கட்டளையை நாம் நன்கறிவோம், உமக்கு (அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொண்ட விஷயத்தில்) எவ்வித சங்கடமும் எற்படாமலிப்பதற்காக (அக்கடமையிலிருந்து உமக்கு விதி விலக்குச் செய்தோம்.) மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிக்கிறவனாக, மிக்க கிருபையுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

O Prophet, We have made lawful for you your wives whose dowries you have paid; any bondwomen you may own from the prisoners of war whom Allah has bestowed upon you; daughters of your paternal uncle, daughters of your paternal aunts, daughters of your maternal uncle, daughters of your maternal aunts who have migrated with you; and a believing woman who offers herself to the Prophet [without dowry] if the Prophet wishes to marry her, [this is] exclusively for you, not for the rest of the believers. We know well what We have ordained for them concerning their marriages and the bondwomen they may own, so that there would be no discomfort for you. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Turjee man tashao minhunna watuwee ilayka man tashao wamani ibtaghayta mimman AAazalta fala junaha AAalayka thalika adna an taqarra aAAyunuhunna wala yahzanna wayardayna bima ataytahunna kulluhunna waAllahu yaAAlamu ma fee quloobikum wakana Allahu AAaleeman haleeman

You (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives), and you may receive whom you will. And whomsoever you desire of those whom you have set aside (her turn temporarily), it is no sin on you (to receive her again); that is better that they may be comforted and not grieved, and may all be pleased with what you give them. Allâh knows what is in your hearts. And Allâh is Ever All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

You, [O Muhammad], may put aside whom you will of them or take to yourself whom you will. And any that you desire of those [wives] from whom you had [temporarily] separated - there is no blame upon you [in returning her]. That is more suitable that they should be content and not grieve and that they should be satisfied with what you have given them - all of them. And Allah knows what is in your hearts. And ever is Allah Knowing and Forbearing.

(நபியே!) உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளில் நீங்கள் விரும்பிய வர்களை (விரும்பிய காலம் வரையில்) விலக்கி வைக்கலாம்; நீங்கள் விரும்பியவர்களை (விரும்பிய காலம் வரையில்) உங்களுடன் இருக்க வைக்கலாம். நீங்கள் விலக்கியவர்களில் நீங்கள் விரும்பியவர்களை உங்களுடன் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளலாம். (இவைகளைப் பற்றி) உங்கள் மீது யாதொரு குற்றமுமில்லை. அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் குளிர்ந்திருப்பதற்கும் நீங்கள் அவர் களுக்குக் கொடுத்தவைகளைப் பற்றி அவர்கள் அனைவருமே திருப்தியடைந்து கவலைப்படாதிருப்பதற்கும் இது மிக்க சுலபமான வழியாக இருக்கின்றது. உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் உள்ளவற்றை அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான். அல்லாஹ் (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனும் பொறுமையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அவர்களில் நீர் விரும்பிய வரை ஒதுக்கி வைக்கலாம். நீர் விரும்பியவரை உம்முடன் தங்கவைக்கலாம், நீர் ஒதுக்கி வைத்தவர்களில் நீர் நாடியவரை உம்முடன் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளலாம். (இதில்) உம்மீது குற்றமில்லை; அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் குளிர்ச்சியடையும் பொருட்டும், அவர்கள் விசனப்படாமல் இருப்பதற்கும் அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் நீர் அவர்களுக்கு கொடுப்பதைக் கொண்டு திருப்தி அடைவதற்காகவும், இது சுலபமான வழியாகும். மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் உள்ளங்களில் இருப்பதை நன்கறிகிறான்; இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் எல்லாம் அறிந்தவன்; மிக்க பொறுமையாளன்.

(நபியே! உம்முடைய மனைவியராகிய) அவர்களில், நீர் விரும்பியவரை ஒதுக்கி வைக்கலாம், நீர் விரும்பியவரை உம்முடன் தங்கவும் வைக்கலாம், நீர் ஒதுக்கியவர்களில், நீர் எவரையேனும் (மீண்டும்) நாடினால் உம்மீது குற்றமில்லை. அது, அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் குளிர்சியடைவதற்கும், அவர்கள் கவலைபடாமலிருப்பதற்கும், நீர் அவர்களனைவருக்கும் எதைக் கொடுத்தீரோ அதைக் கொண்டு திருப்தியடைவதற்கும் மிக்க நெருக்கமானதாகும், இன்னும், உங்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் உள்ளவற்றை அல்லாஹ் நன்கு அறிவான், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் (யாவையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாக, சகித்துக் கொள்பவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

You may postpone [the turn of] whoever you wish [of your wives], and you may share your time with whoever of them you wish, and there is no blame on you if you call back any of those whose turn you have set aside. That is more likely that they will be content and not distressed, and that they will be satisfied with what you give them all. Allah knows what is in your hearts, and Allah is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

La yahillu laka alnnisao min baAAdu wala an tabaddala bihinna min azwajin walaw aAAjabaka husnuhunna illa ma malakat yameenuka wakana Allahu AAala kulli shayin raqeeban

It is not lawful for you (to marry other) women after this, nor to change them for other wives even though their beauty attracts you, except those (slaves) whom your right hand possesses. And Allâh is Ever a Watcher over all things.

Not lawful to you, [O Muhammad], are [any additional] women after [this], nor [is it] for you to exchange them for [other] wives, even if their beauty were to please you, except what your right hand possesses. And ever is Allah, over all things, an Observer.

(நபியே! இப்போதிருக்கும் உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளுக்குப்) பின்னர், வேறு யாதொரு பெண்ணும் (அவளை நீங்கள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வது) உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமானதல்ல. அன்றி, யாதொரு பெண்ணின் அழகு உங்களை ஆச்சரியப்படுத்திய போதிலும் உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளில் எவரையும் நீக்கி, அதற்குப் பதிலாக அவளை எடுத்துக் கொள்வதும் உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமானது அன்று. ஆயினும், உங்களது வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்ட பெண் அவ்வாறன்று. (அவள் உங்களுக்கு ஆகுமானவளே!) அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் கவனித்தவனாகவே இருக்கின்றான்.

இவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால் உம் வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்கள் தவிர இதர பெண்கள் உமக்கு ஹலால் ஆகமாட்டார்கள்; இன்னும் இவர்களுடைய இடத்தில் வேறு மனைவியரை மாற்றிக் கொள்வதும்; அவர்களுடைய அழகு உம்மைக் கவர்ந்த போதிலும் சரியே - ஹலால் இல்லை - மேலும், அல்லாஹ் அனைத்துப் பொருள்களையும் கண்காணிப்பவன்.  

(நபியே! இதற்குப்) பின்னர், உம்வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களைத் தவிர (நீர் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ள) வேறு பெண்கள் உமக்கு ஆகுமாகமாட்டர்கள், இன்னும், அவர்களுடைய (இடத்தில் வேறு பெண்களின்) அழகு உம்மை கவர்ந்த போதிலும் அவர்களை, (உம்முடைய மனைவியராக) இவர்களைக் கொண்டு நீர் மாற்றிக் கொள்வதும் உமக்கு (அனுமதி) இல்லை, அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் கண்காணிக்கிறவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

It is not lawful for you [O Prophet] to marry more women henceforth, nor can you replace any of them with others, even if their beauty may please you, except those bondwomen whom you own. And Allah is ever Watchful over all things.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tadkhuloo buyoota alnnabiyyi illa an yuthana lakum ila taAAamin ghayra nathireena inahu walakin itha duAAeetum faodkhuloo faitha taAAimtum faintashiroo wala mustaniseena lihadeethin inna thalikum kana yuthee alnnabiyya fayastahyee minkum waAllahu la yastahyee mina alhaqqi waitha saaltumoohunna mataAAan faisaloohunna min warai hijabin thalikum atharu liquloobikum waquloobihinna wama kana lakum an tuthoo rasoola Allahi wala an tankihoo azwajahu min baAAdihi abadan inna thalikum kana AAinda Allahi AAatheeman

O you who believe! Enter not the Prophet's [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] houses, unless permission is given to you for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation. But when you are invited, enter, and when you have taken your meal, disperse without sitting for a talk. Verily, such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], and he is shy of (asking) you (to go); but Allâh is not shy of (telling you) the truth. And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. And it is not (right) for you that you should annoy Allâh's Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], nor that you should ever marry his wives after him (his death). Verily, with Allâh that shall be an enormity.

O you who have believed, do not enter the houses of the Prophet except when you are permitted for a meal, without awaiting its readiness. But when you are invited, then enter; and when you have eaten, disperse without seeking to remain for conversation. Indeed, that [behavior] was troubling the Prophet, and he is shy of [dismissing] you. But Allah is not shy of the truth. And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever. Indeed, that would be in the sight of Allah an enormity.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! (உங்களை உங்களுடைய நபி விருந்துக்காக அழைத்திருந்தபோதிலும்) அனுமதியின்றி நபியின் வீட்டினுள் செல்லாதீர்கள். அது தயாராவதை எதிர்பார்த்துத் தாமதித்து இருக்கக்கூடிய விதத்தில் முன்னதாகவும் சென்று விடாதீர்கள். (விருந்து தயாரானதன் பின்னர்) நீங்கள் அழைக்கப் பட்டால்தான் உள்ளே செல்லவும். தவிர, நீங்கள் உணவைப் புசித்து விட்டால் உடனே வெளிப்பட்டு விடுங்கள். (அங்கிருந்து கொண்டே வீண்) பேச்சுக்களை ஆரம்பித்துவிட வேண்டாம். (அவ்வாறு செய்தால்) நிச்சயமாக இது நபிக்கு பெரும் வருத்தத்தையளிக்கும். (இதனை) உங்களிடம் (கூற) அவர் வெட்கப்படலாம். எனினும், உண்மையைச் சொல்ல அல்லாஹ் வெட்கப்பட மாட்டான். நபியுடைய மனைவிகளிடம் யாதொரு பொருளை நீங்கள் கேட்(கும்படி நேரிட்)டால், (நீங்கள்) திரை மறைவிலிருந்து கொண்டே அவர்களிடம் கேளுங்கள். இது உங்கள் உள்ளங்களையும், அவர்கள் உள்ளங்களையும் பரிசுத்தமாக்கி வைக்கும். அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதரை நீங்கள் துன்புறுத்துவது உங்களுக்குத் தகுமானதன்று. அன்றி, அவருடைய மனைவிகளை அவருக்குப் பின்னர் ஒரு காலத்திலும் நீங்கள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதும் கூடாது. நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மிக்க கடுமையான (பாவமான) காரியமாகும்.

முஃமின்களே! (உங்களுடைய நபி) உங்களை உணவு அருந்த அழைத்தாலன்றியும், அது சமையலாவதை எதிர்பார்த்தும் (முன்னதாகவே) நபியுடைய வீடுகளில் பிரவேசிக்காதீர்கள்; ஆனால், நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டீர்களானால் (அங்கே) பிரவேசியுங்கள்; அன்றியும் நீங்கள் உணவருந்தி விட்டால் (உடன்) கலைந்து போய் விடுங்கள்; பேச்சுகளில் மனங்கொண்டவர்களாக (அங்கேயே) அமர்ந்து விடாதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக இது நபியை நோவினை செய்வதாகும்; இதனை உங்களிடம் கூற அவர் வெட்கப்படுவார்; ஆனால் உண்மையைக் கூற அல்லாஹ் வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை; நபியுடைய மனைவிகளிடம் ஏதாவது ஒரு பொருளை (அவசியப்பட்டுக்) கேட்டால், திரைக்கு அப்பாலிருந்தே அவர்களைக் கேளுங்கள். அதுவே உங்கள் இருதயங்களையும் அவர்கள் இருதயங்களையும் தூய்மையாக்கி வைக்கும்; அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதரை நோவினை செய்வது உங்களுக்கு தகுமானதல்ல; அன்றியும் அவருடைய மனைவிகளை அவருக்குப் பின்னர் நீங்கள் மணப்பது ஒருபோதும் கூடாது; நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மிகப்பெரும் (பாவ) காரியமாகும்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! உணவின்பால் (அதை உண்ண) உங்களுக்கு அனுமதியளிக்கப்பட்டாலே தவிர, அது தயாராவதை எதிர்பார்த்திராதவர்களாக (முன்னதாகவே) நபியுடைய வீடுகளில் பிரவேசிக்காதீர்கள். எனினும் நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டால், அப்பொழுது பிரவேசியுங்கள், பின்னர் நீங்கள் உணவைப் புசித்துவிட்டால், (அங்கிருந்து கொண்டே) பேசுவதில் விருப்பம் கொண்டவர்களாகவும் ஆகிவிடாது கலைந்து சென்று விடுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக இது நபியை நோவினை செய்வதாக இருந்தது, ஆகவே, (இதனை) உங்களிடம் (கூற) அவர் வெட்கப்படுகிறார், உண்மையைச் சொல்ல அல்லாஹ் வெட்கப்படவுமாட்டான், மேலும், (நபியுடைய மனைவியராக) அவர்களிடம் யாதொரு பொருளை நீங்கள் கேட்(க நேரிட்)டால், நீங்கள் திரைக்கு அப்பால் இருந்து கொண்டே அவர்களிடம் கேளுங்கள், அ(வ்வாறு செய்வ)து உங்கள் உள்ளங்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் உள்ளங்களுக்கும் மிகப் பரிசுத்தமானதாகும், மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய தூதருக்கு நீங்கள் தொல்லை கொடுப்பது உங்களுக்குத் தகுமானதன்று, அவருடைய மனைவியரை அவருக்குப் பின்னர் நீங்கள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதும் ஒரு காலத்திலும் கூடாது, நிச்சயமாக அது அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் (பாவத்தால்) மிக்க மகத்தானதாக இருக்கிறது.

O you who believe, do not enter the houses of the Prophet, unless you are given permission for a meal; not so early as to wait for the meal to be prepared. But if you are invited, then enter, and when you have eaten, then disperse, without lingering for conversation. Such [behavior] causes annoyance to the Prophet; he is too shy to express it to you, but Allah is not shy of [telling] the truth. And if you ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a screen; that is purer for your hearts and their hearts. It is not lawful for you to cause annoyance to Allah’s Messenger, or to ever marry his wives after him, for that is indeed an enormous sin before Allah.

In tubdoo shayan aw tukhfoohu fainna Allaha kana bikulli shayin AAaleeman

Whether you reveal anything or conceal it, verily, Allâh is Ever All-Knower of everything.

Whether you reveal a thing or conceal it, indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing.

நீங்கள் எவ்விஷயத்தை வெளியிட்டபோதிலும் அல்லது மறைத்துக் கொண்டபோதிலும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எல்லா விஷயங்களையுமே ந.ன்கறிந்து கொள்வான்.

நீங்கள் ஒரு விஷயத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தினாலும், அல்லது அதை நீங்கள் மறைத்து வைத்தாலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எல்லா விஷயங்களையும் அறிபவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

ஒரு விஷயத்தை நீங்கள் வெளிப்படுத்தினாலும், அல்லது அதனை மறைத்துக் கொண்டாலும் அப்பொழுது நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளைப் பற்றியும் நன்கு அறிகிறவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

Whether you reveal something or conceal it, Allah is All-Knowing of everything.

La junaha AAalayhinna fee abaihinna wala abnaihinna wala ikhwanihinna wala abnai ikhwanihinna wala abnai akhawatihinna wala nisaihinna wala ma malakat aymanuhunna waittaqeena Allaha inna Allaha kana AAala kulli shayin shaheedan

It is no sin on them (the Prophet's wives, if they appear unveiled) before their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brother's sons, or the sons of their sisters, or their own (believing) women, or their (female) slaves. And (O ladies), fear (keep your duty to) Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Ever All-Witness over everything.

There is no blame upon women concerning their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons or their women or those their right hands possess. And fear Allah. Indeed Allah is ever, over all things, Witness.

நபியுடைய மனைவிகள் தங்களுடைய தந்தைகள் முன்பாகவும், தங்கள் ஆண் மக்கள் முன்பாகவும், தங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் முன்பாகவும், தங்கள் சகோதரர்களின் ஆண் மக்கள் முன்பாகவும், தங்கள் சகோதரிகளின் ஆண் மக்கள் முன்பாகவும், தங்கள் (போன்ற நம்பிக்கையாளர்களான) பெண்கள் முன்பாகவும், தங்கள் வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்ட பெண்கள் முன்பாகவும் (வருவதில்) அவர்கள் மீது யாதொரு குற்றமுமில்லை. (இவர்களைத் தவிர மற்றவர்கள் முன் வருவதைப் பற்றி நபியுடைய மனைவிகளே!) நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் பார்த்தவனாகவே இருக்கிறான்.

(நபியின் மனைவிமார்களாகிய) அவர்கள், தங்களுடைய தந்தையர் முன்பும், தங்கள் ஆண் மக்கள் முன்பும் தங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் முன்பும், தங்கள் சகோதரர்களின் ஆண்மக்கள் முன்பும், தங்கள் சகோதரிகளின் ஆண்மக்கள் முன்பும், அவர்களின் பெண்கள் முன்பும்; அவர்களுடைய வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்கள் முன்பும் (வருவது) அவர்கள் மீது குற்றமாகாது; எனவே, நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; (நபியின் மனைவிமார்களே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் சாட்சியாக இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியுடைய மனைவியர்) தங்களுடைய தந்தைகள் (முன்பாகவும்), தங்கள் ஆண்மக்கள் (முன்பாகவும்), தங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் (முன்பாகவும்), தங்கள் சகோதரர்களின் புதல்வர்கள் (முன்பாகவும்), தங்கள் சகோதரிகளின் புதல்வர்கள் (முன்பாகவும்), தங்கள் பெண்கள் (முன்பாகவும்), தங்கள் வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களி(ன் முன்பாக வருவதி)லும் அவர்களின் மீது குற்றமில்லை. மேலும், நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் சாட்சியாளனாக இருக்கிறான்.

There is no blame on the Prophet’s wives [if they are seen unveiled] by their fathers, their sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their fellow [Muslim] women, and their slaves whom they own. And fear Allah [O Prophet’s wives], for Allah is Witness over all things.

Inna Allaha wamalaikatahu yusalloona AAala alnnabiyyi ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo salloo AAalayhi wasallimoo tasleeman

Allâh sends His Salât (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and also His angels (ask Allâh to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salât on (ask Allâh to bless) him (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islâmic way of greeting (salutation, i.e. As-Salâmu 'Alaikum).

Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனுடைய மலக்குகளும் நபியின் மீது ஸலவாத்துச் சொல்கின்றார்கள். ஆகவே, நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்களும் அவர்கள் மீது ஸலவாத்துச் சொல்லி ஸலாமும் கூறிக் கொண்டிருங்கள்.

இந்த நபியின் மீது அல்லாஹ் அருள் புரிகிறான். மலக்குகளும் அவருக்காக அருளைத் தேடுகின்றனர். முஃமின்களே நீங்களும் அவர் மீது ஸலவாத்து சொல்லி அவர் மீது ஸலாமும் சொல்லுங்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வும், அவனுடைய மலக்குகளும் நபியின் மீது ஸலவாத்து (அருள், பிரார்த்தனை)ச் செய்கிறார்கள், (ஆகவே) விசுவாசிகளே! நீங்கள் அவர் மீது ஸலாவத்துச் சொல்லுங்கள், ஸலாமும் கூறுங்கள்.

Indeed, Allah sends His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O you who believe, invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and send him greetings of peace.

Inna allatheena yuthoona Allaha warasoolahu laAAanahumu Allahu fee alddunya waalakhirati waaAAadda lahum AAathaban muheenan

Verily, those who annoy Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], Allâh has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a humiliating torment.

Indeed, those who abuse Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment.

எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும் அவனுடைய தூதரையும் துன்புறுத்துகிறார்களோ அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் சபிக்கிறான். அன்றி, இழிவு தரும் வேதனையையும் அவர்களுக்காக தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக் கின்றான்.

எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையும் அவனுடைய தூதரையும் நோவினை செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் சபிக்கின்றான்; மேலும், அவர்களுக்கு இழிவுதரும் வேதனையைச் சித்தப்படுத்தி இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ்வையும், அவனுடைய தூதரையும் துன்புறுத்துகிறார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்களை அல்லாஹ் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் சபித்து விட்டான். இழிவு தரும் வேதனையையும் அவர்களுக்கு தயார் செய்து வைத்திருக்கிறான்.

Those who offend Allah and His Messenger are cursed by Allah in this world and in the Hereafter, and He has prepared for them a humiliating punishment.

Waallatheena yuthoona almumineena waalmuminati bighayri ma iktasaboo faqadi ihtamaloo buhtanan waithman mubeenan

And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, they bear (on themselves) the crime of slander and plain sin.

And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.

எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட ஆண்களையும் பெண்களையும் அவர்கள் செய்யாத குற்றத்தை(ச் செய்ததாக)க் கூறித் துன்புறுத்துகிறார்களோ அவர்கள், நிச்சயமாக (பெரும்) அவதூற்றையும் பகிரங்கமான பாவத்தையுமே சுமந்து கொள்கின்றனர்.

ஈமான் கொண்ட ஆண்களையும், ஈமான் கொண்ட பெண்களையும் செய்யாத (எதையும் செய்ததாகக்) கூறி எவர் நோவினை செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக அவதூறையும், வெளிப்படையான பாவத்தையுமே சுமந்து கொள்கிறார்கள்.  

மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட ஆண்களையும், விசுவாசங்கொண்ட பெண்களையும் அவர்கள் செய்யாத (குற்றத்)தை(ச் செய்ததாக)க் கூறி துன்புறுத்துகிறார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள், நிச்சயமாக(ப் பெரும்) அவதூறையும் பகிரங்கமான பாவத்தையும் சுமந்து கொண்டனர்.

Those who abuse believing men and women for something they did not commit, they will bear the burden of slander and flagrant sin.

Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu qul liazwajika wabanatika wanisai almumineena yudneena AAalayhinna min jalabeebihinna thalika adna an yuAArafna fala yuthayna wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman

O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

நபியே! நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளுக்கும், உங்களுடைய பெண் மக்களுக்கும், நம்பிக்கையாளர்களின் பெண்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தலை முந்தானைகளை (தங்கள் முகங்களில்) இறக்கிக் கொள்ளும்படி நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள். அதனால், அவர்கள் கண்ணியமானவர்கள் என அறியப்பட்டு, எவருடைய துன்பத்திற்கும் அவர்கள் உள்ளாகாதிருப்பதற்கு இது சுலபமான வழியாகும். அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும் கிருபை செய்பவ னாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நபியே! நீர் உம் மனைவிகளுக்கும், உம் பெண்மக்களுக்கும் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களின் பெண்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தலைமுன்றானைகளைத் தாழ்த்திக் கொள்ளுமாறு கூறுவீராக; அவர்கள் (கண்ணியமானவர்கள் என) அறியப்பட்டு நோவினை செய்யப்படாமலிருக்க இது சுலபமான வழியாகும். மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க அன்புடையவன்.

நபியே! உம்முடைய மனைவியருக்கும், உங்கள் புதல்விகளுக்கும், விசுவாசிகளின் பெண்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தலை முந்தானைகளைத் தாழ்த்திக் கொள்ளுமாறு நீர் கூறுவீராக! அதனால் அவர்கள் (சுதந்திரமானவர்கள் என) அறியப்படுவதற்கு இது மிக நெருக்கமானதாகும், அப்போது அவர்கள் (பிறரால்) நோவினை செய்யப்படமாட்டார்கள், இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனாக மிகக்கிருபையுடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters, and the believing women to draw their outer garments over themselves; that is more likely that they will be known [as chaste women] and will not be harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Lain lam yantahi almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun waalmurjifoona fee almadeenati lanughriyannaka bihim thumma la yujawiroonaka feeha illa qaleelan

If the hypocrites, and those in whose hearts is a disease (evil desire for illegal sex), and those who spread false news among the people in Al-Madinah stop not, We shall certainly let you overpower them, then they will not be able to stay in it as your neighbours but a little while.

If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease and those who spread rumors in al-Madinah do not cease, We will surely incite you against them; then they will not remain your neighbors therein except for a little.

(நபியே!) நயவஞ்சகர்களும், உள்ளத்தில் (பாவ) நோயுள்ளவர்களும், மதீனாவில் பொய்ப் பிரச்சாரம் செய்கிறவர்களும்(இனியும் தங்கள் விஷமத்திலிருந்து) விலகிக்கொள்ளாவிடில் நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களையே அவர்கள் மீது ஏவிவிட்டு விடுவேன். பின்னர், அதில் உங்கள் அருகில் வெகு சொற்ப நாள்களன்றி அவர்கள் வசித்திருக்க முடியாது.

முனாஃபிக்குகளும், தங்கள் இதயங்களில் நோய் உள்ளவர்களும், மதீனாவில் பொய்ப்பிரச்சாரம் செய்து கொண்டிருப்பவர்களும் (தம் தீச்செயல்களிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளவில்லையானால், அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக (நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுப்பதை) உம்மிடம் நிச்சயமாக சாட்டுவோம். பிறகு அவர்கள் வெகு சொற்ப(கால)மேயன்றி அங்கு உமது அண்டை அயலார்களாக (வசித்திருக்க) மாட்டார்கள்.

(நபியே! வேஷதாரிகளான) முனாஃபிக்குகளும், எவர்களுடைய இதயத்தில் (பாவ)நோய் உள்ளதோ அத்தகையோரும், மதீனாவில் பொய்யான விஷயங்களை மக்களுக்கு மத்தியில் பரப்பக்கூடியவர்களும், (தங்களின் இச்செயலிலிருந்து) விலகிக் கொள்ளாவிடில், நிச்சயமாக நாம் உம்மை அவர்களின் மீது சாட்டிவிடுவோம், பின்னர், வெகு சொற்பமே தவிர (மதீனாவாகிய) அதில் உம் அண்டை வீட்டினராக அவர்கள் வசித்திருக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

If the hypocrites and those who have sickness in their hearts, and the rumormongers in Madinah do not desist, We will surely instruct you [O Prophet] to overpower them, then they will not remain in the city with you except for a short while.

MalAAooneena aynama thuqifoo okhithoo waquttiloo taqteelan

Accursed, they shall be seized wherever found, and killed with a (terrible) slaughter.

Accursed wherever they are found, [being] seized and massacred completely.

அவர்கள் சபிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டனர். ஆகவே, அவர்கள் எங்கு காணப்பட்டபோதிலும் (சிறை) பிடிக்கப்பட்டும், வெட்டி அழிக்கப்பட்டும் விடுவார்கள்.

அ(த்தகைய தீய)வர்கள் சபிக்கப் பட்டவர்களாவார்கள்; அவர்கள் எங்கே காணப்பட்டாலும் பிடிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; இன்னும் கொன்றொழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

சபிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக (அவர்கள் இருப்பர், ஆகவே) அவர்கள் எங்கு காணப்பட்ட போதிலும் பிடிக்கப்படுவார்கள், இன்னும் கொன்றொழிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

They are cursed; wherever they are found they should be seized and killed outright.

Sunnata Allahi fee allatheena khalaw min qablu walan tajida lisunnati Allahi tabdeelan

That was the way of Allâh in the case of those who passed away of old, and you will not find any change in the way of Allâh.

[This is] the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change.

அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழி இதற்கு முன் சென்றவர்களுக்கும் இதுதான். ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழியில் யாதொரு மாறுதலையும் காண மாட்டீர்கள்.

அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய வழி - இதற்கு முன் சென்றவர்களுக்கும் இதுவே தான்; அல்லாஹ்வின் (அவ்)வழியில் எவ்வித மாற்றத்தையும் நீர் காணமாட்டீர்.

இதற்கு முன் சென்றுவிட்டார்களே அத்தகையோரில் அல்லாஹ்வின் வழிமுறை (இது) தான், ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீர் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழிமுறையில் யாதொரு மாறுதலையும் காணவே மாட்டீர்.

Such was Allah’s way with those [hypocrites] who came before, and you will find no change in Allah’s way.

Yasaluka alnnasu AAani alssaAAati qul innama AAilmuha AAinda Allahi wama yudreeka laAAalla alssaAAata takoonu qareeban

People ask you concerning the Hour, say: "The knowledge of it is with Allâh only. What do you know? It may be that the Hour is near!"

People ask you concerning the Hour. Say," Knowledge of it is only with Allah. And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near."

(நபியே!) இறுதிநாளைப் பற்றி (அது எப்பொழுது வரும்? என) மனிதர்கள் உங்களிடம் கேட்கின்றனர். (அதற்கு) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "(அது எப்பொழுது வருமென்ற) அதன் ஞானம் அல்லாஹ்விடம் (மட்டும்) தான் இருக்கிறது. நீங்கள் அறிவீர்களா? அது சமீபத்திலும் வந்துவிடக்கூடும்."

(நியாயத் தீர்ப்புக்குரிய) அவ்வேளையை பற்றி மக்கள் உம்மைக் கேட்கின்றனர்: “அதைப் பற்றிய ஞானம் அல்லாஹ்விடமே இருக்கிறது” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக; அதை நீர் அறிவீரா? அது சமீபத்திலும் வந்து விடலாம்.

(நபியே!) மறுமை நாளைப்பற்றி (“அது எப்பொழுது” என்று) உம்மிடம் மனிதர்கள் கேட்கின்றனர், (அதற்கு) நீர் கூறும், (“அது எப்பொழுது என்ற) அதன் அறிவெல்லாம் அல்லாஹ்விடம் (மட்டும்)தான் இருக்கின்றது, மேலும், மறுமை நாள் சமீபத்தில் வந்து விடக்கூடும் என உமக்கு எது அறிவித்துக் கொடுக்கும்?

People ask you [O Prophet] concerning the Hour. Say, “Its knowledge is only with Allah.” How could you know? Perhaps the Hour is near.

Inna Allaha laAAana alkafireena waaAAadda lahum saAAeeran

Verily, Allâh has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell).

Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze.

மெய்யாகவே அல்லாஹ் நிராகரிப்பவர்களைச் சபித்து, கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் நெருப்பை அவர்களுக்கு தயார்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் காஃபிர்களைச் சபித்து, அவர்களுக்காகக் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் (நரக) நெருப்பைச் சித்தம் செய்திருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நிராகரிப்போரைச் சபித்துவிட்டான், கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் நெருப்பை அவர்களுக்குத் தயார் செய்தும் வைத்திருகின்றான்.

Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and has prepared for them a Blazing Fire,

Khalideena feeha abadan la yajidoona waliyyan wala naseeran

Wherein they will abide for ever, and they will find neither a Walî (a protector) nor a helper.

Abiding therein forever, they will not find a protector or a helper.

அவர்கள் என்றென்றும் அதில்தான் தங்கிவிடுவார்கள். (அவர்களை) பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்பவர்களையும் (அவர்களுக்கு) உதவி செய்பவர்களையும் அங்கு அவர்கள் காணமாட்டார்கள்.

அதில் அவர்கள் என்றென்றும் தங்குவார்கள்; தங்களைக் காப்பவரையோ, உதவி செய்பவரையோ அவர்கள் காணமாட்டார்கள்.

அவர்கள் என்றென்றும் அதில் நிரந்தரமாக(த்தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள், (அவர்களைக்) காப்பவரையும், (அவர்களுக்கு) உதவி செய்பவரையும் அவர்கள் (அங்கு) காணமாட்டார்கள்.

abiding therein forever, never will they find any protector or helper.

Yawma tuqallabu wujoohuhum fee alnnari yaqooloona ya laytana ataAAna Allaha waataAAna alrrasoola

On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed Allâh and obeyed the Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam])."

The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger."

நரகத்தில் அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை புரட்டிப் புரட்டிப் பொசுக்கும் நாளில் "எங்களுடைய கேடே! நாங்கள் அல்லாஹ் வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் வழிப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டாமா?" என்று கதறுவார்கள்.

நெருப்பில் அவர்களுடைய முகங்கள் புரட்டப்படும் அந்நாளில், “ஆ, கை சேதமே! அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு நாங்கள் வழிப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டுமே; இத்தூதருக்கும் நாங்கள் வழிப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டுமே!” என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

அவர்களுடைய முகங்கள் (நரக) நெருப்பில் புரட்டப்படும் நாளில், “நாங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு வழிபட்டிருக்க வேண்டுமே! (அவனுடைய) தூதருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்க வேண்டுமே” என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they will say, “Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger!”

Waqaloo rabbana inna ataAAna sadatana wakubaraana faadalloona alssabeela

And they will say: "Our Lord! Verily, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us from the (Right) Way.

And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way.

அன்றி "எங்கள் இறைவனே! நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்கள் தலைவர்களுக்கும், எங்கள் பெரியவர்களுக்கும் வழிப்பட்டோம். நாங்கள் தப்பான வழியில் செல்லும்படி அவர்கள் செய்து விட்டார்கள்.

“எங்கள் இறைவா! நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்கள் தலைவர்களுக்கும், எங்கள் பெரியவர்களுக்கும் வழிப்பட்டோம்; அவர்கள் எங்களை வழி கெடுத்துவிட்டார்கள்” என்றும் அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.

மேலும், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்களுடைய தலைவர்களுக்கும் எங்கள் பெரியோர்களுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்தோம், ஆகவே, அவர்கள் எங்களை வழி தவறச்செய்து விட்டார்கள்.”

They will say, “Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and our elders, but they led us astray from the [right] way.

Rabbana atihim diAAfayni mina alAAathabi wailAAanhum laAAnan kabeeran

"Our Lord! Give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!"

Our Lord, give them double the punishment and curse them with a great curse."

(ஆகவே) எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ அவர்களுக்கு இரு மடங்கு வேதனையைக் கொடுத்து, அவர்கள் மீது பெரிய சாபத்தைப் போடு" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

“எங்கள் இறைவா! அவர்களுக்கு இரு மடங்கு வேதனையைத் தருவாயாக; அவர்களைப் பெருஞ் சாபத்தைக் கொண்டு சபிப்பாயாக” (என்பர்).  

ஆகவே “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நீ அவர்களுக்கு வேதனையில் இருமடங்கை கொடுப்பாயாக! இன்னும், பெரும் சாபமாக அவர்களைச் சபிப்பாயாக!” (என்றும் கூறுவார்கள்).

Our Lord, give them a double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse.”

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takoonoo kaallatheena athaw moosa fabarraahu Allahu mimma qaloo wakana AAinda Allahi wajeehan

O you who believe! Be not like those who annoyed Mûsâ (Moses), but Allâh cleared him of that which they alleged, and he was honourable before Allâh.

O you who have believed, be not like those who abused Moses; then Allah cleared him of what they said. And he, in the sight of Allah, was distinguished.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! மூஸாவை(ப் பற்றி பொய்யாக அவதூறு கூறி அவரை)த் துன்புறுத்திய மக்களைப் போல் நீங்களும் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம். அவர்கள் கூறிய அவதூற்றிலிருந்து மூஸாவை அல்லாஹ் பரிசுத்தமாக்கி விட்டான். அவர் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் மிக்க கண்ணியமானவராகவே இருந்தார்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! மூஸாவை(ப் பற்றி அவதூறு கூறி) நோவினை செய்தவர்களைப் போன்று நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் கூறியதை விட்டு அல்லாஹ் அவரைப் பரிசுத்தமானவராக்கி விட்டான்; மேலும் அவர் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் கண்ணிய மிக்கவராகவே இருந்தார்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! மூஸாவை நோவினை செய்தார்களே அவர்களைப் போல் நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடவேண்டாம், பின்னர், அவர்கள் கூறியதிலிருந்து அல்லாஹ் அவரை நீக்கி விட்டான், மேலும், அவர் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் பெரும் தகுதியுடையவராக இருந்தார்.

O you who believe, do not be like those who maligned Moses, but Allah cleared him of what they said; he was highly honored before Allah.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ittaqoo Allaha waqooloo qawlan sadeedan

O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allâh and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth.

O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.

(ஆகவே,) நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்களும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து நேர்மையான விஷயங்களைக் கூறுங்கள்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள்; (எந்நிலையிலும்) நேர்மையான சொல்லையே சொல்லுங்கள்.

(ஆகவே) விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், நேர்மையான கூற்றையே கூறுங்கள்.

O you who believe, fear Allah and say what is right,

Yuslih lakum aAAmalakum wayaghfir lakum thunoobakum waman yutiAAi Allaha warasoolahu faqad faza fawzan AAatheeman

He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allâh and His Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam], he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and will be admitted to Paradise).

He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.

அவன் உங்களுடைய காரியங்களை உங்களுக்கு சீர்படுத்தி வைத்து உங்களுடைய குற்றங்களையும் மன்னிப்பான். அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் எவர் கீழ்ப்படிகின்றாரோ அவர் நிச்சயமாக மகத்தான பெரும் வெற்றியடைந்துவிட்டார்.

(அவ்வாறு செய்வீர்களாயின்) அவன் உங்களுடைய காரியங்களை உங்களுக்குச் சீராக்கி வைப்பான்; உங்கள் பாவங்களை உங்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பான்; அன்றியும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவன் தூதருக்கும் எவர் வழிப்படுகிறாரோ, அவர் மகத்தான வெற்றி கொண்டு விட்டார்.

(அவ்வாறு நீங்கள் செய்தால்) அவன் உங்களுடைய செயல்களை உங்களுக்குச் சீர் படுத்தி வைப்பான், உங்களுடைய குற்றங்களையும் மன்னிப்பான், மேலும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும், அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் எவர் கீழ்ப் படிகின்றாரோ அப்போது அவர், திட்டமாக மகத்தான வெற்றியாக வெற்றியடைந்து விட்டார்.

He will guide you to righteous deeds and forgive your sins. Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will surely achieve a supreme triumph.

Inna AAaradna alamanata AAala alssamawati waalardi waaljibali faabayna an yahmilnaha waashfaqna minha wahamalaha alinsanu innahu kana thalooman jahoolan

Truly, We did offer Al-Amânah (the trust or moral responsibility or honesty and all the duties which Allâh has ordained) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it (i.e. afraid of Allâh's torment). But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant (of its results).

Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.

நிச்சயமாக "(நம்முடைய) பொறுப்பைச் சுமந்து கொள்வீர்களா?" என்று நாம் வானங்கள், பூமி, மலைகள் ஆகியவற்றிடம் வினவினோம். அதற்கு அவை அதனைப் பற்றிப் பயந்து, அதனைச் சுமந்து கொள்ளாது விலகிவிட்டன. அத்தகைய பொறுப்பைத்தான் மனிதன் சுமந்துகொண்டான். (ஆகவே) நிச்சயமாக அவன் அறியாமையால் தனக்குத்தானே தீங்கிழைத்துக் கொண்டான்.

நிச்சயமாக வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், மலைகளையும் (நம் கட்டளைகளான) அமானிதத்தை சுமந்து கொள்ளுமாறு எடுத்துக் காட்டினோம்; ஆனால் அதைச் சுமந்து கொள்ள மறுத்தன;அதைப் பற்றி அவை அஞ்சின;ஆனால் மனிதன் அதைச் சுமந்தான்;நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் (தனக்குத்தானே) அநியாயம் செய்பவனாகவும், அறிவிலியாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அமானித்தை வானங்கள், பூமி மலைகள் ஆகியவற்றின் மீது (அதைச் சுமந்து கொள்ளுமாறு) எடுத்துக் காட்டினோம், அப்போது அதைச் சுமந்து கொள்வதிலிருந்து அவை விலகிக் கொண்டன, இன்னும், அ(தைச் சுமப்ப)திலிருந்து அவை பயந்தன. (ஆனால்) மனிதனோ அதனைச் சுமந்து கொண்டான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் (அமானிதத்தை நிறைவேற்றும் விஷயத்தில்) பெரும் அநியாயக்காரனாக (அதன் கடமையை) அறியாதவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, yet they refused to bear it and were afraid of it. But man assumed it; he is indeed wrongful and ignorant.

LiyuAAaththiba Allahu almunafiqeena waalmunafiqati waalmushrikeena waalmushrikati wayatooba Allahu AAala almumineena waalmuminati wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman

So that Allâh will punish the hypocrites, men and women, and the men and women who are Al-Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]). And Allâh will pardon (accept the repentance of) the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism, men and women. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

(அத்தகைய பொறுப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, அதற்கு மாறாக நடக்கும்) நயவஞ்சக ஆண்களையும் பெண்களையும், இணை வைத்து வணங்கும் ஆண்களையும் பெண்களையும் அல்லாஹ் வேதனை செய்வான். (அந்த பொறுப்பை மதித்து நடக்கும்) நம்பிக்கையாளர்களாகிய ஆண்களையும் பெண்களையும் (அவர்களுடைய) தவறிலிருந்து (அருளின் பக்கம்) அல்லாஹ் திருப்பி விடுவான். அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும் கருணை உடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

எனவே, (இவ்வமானிதத்தை மாறு செய்யும்) முனாஃபிக்கான ஆண்களையும், முனாஃபிக்கான பெண்களையும்; முஷ்ரிக்கான ஆண்களையும், முஷ்ரிக்கான பெண்களையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வேதனை செய்வான்; (ஆனால் இவ்வமானிதத்தை மதித்து நடக்கும்) முஃமினான ஆண்களையும், முஃமினான பெண்களையும் (அவர்கள் தவ்பாவை ஏற்று) மன்னிக்கின்றான். அல்லாஹ் மிக மன்னிப்பவன்; மிக்க அன்புடையவன்.

(அத்தகைய அமானிதத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அதற்கு மாறாக நடக்கும்) முனாஃபிக்கான (வேஷதாரிகளான) ஆண்களையும், முனாஃபிக்கான பெண்களையும், இணை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆண்களையும், இணை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பெண்களையும் அல்லாஹ் வேதனை செய்வதற்காகவும், (அந்த அமானிதத்தை ஏற்றபின் மதித்து நடக்கும்) விசுவாசிகளான ஆண்களையும், விசுவாசிகளான பெண்களையும் அவர்களுடைய தவ்பாவை ஏற்று மன்னிப்பதற்காகவும் (இவ்வாறு எடுத்துக்காட்டினான்). மேலும், அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனாக, மிகக் கிருபையுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

[As a result of that] Allah will punish the hypocrite men and women, and the polytheist men and women, and Allah will accept the repentance of the believing men and women, for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
