Alif-Lâm-Mîm.[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

Alif, Lam, Meem.

அலிஃப்; லாம்; மீம்.

அலிஃப், லாம், மீம்.

அலிஃப் லாம் மீம்.

The Romans have been defeated.

The Byzantines have been defeated

(நமக்குச்) சமீபமான பூமியிலுள்ள "ரூம்"வாசிகள் தோல்வி அடைந்தனர்.

ரோம் தோல்வியடைந்து விட்டது.

ரோமாபுரி (பாரசீகர்களால்) வெற்றி கொள்ளப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

The Romans have been defeated

Fee adna alardi wahum min baAAdi ghalabihim sayaghliboona

In the nearest land (Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious.

In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome.

அவர்கள் (இன்று) தோல்வியடைந்து விட்டபோதிலும் அதிசீக்கிரத்தில் வெற்றி அடைவார்கள்.

அருகிலுள்ள பூமியில்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் (ரோமர்கள்) தங்கள் தோல்விக்குப்பின் விரைவில் வெற்றியடைவார்கள்.

சமீபத்திலுள்ள பூமியில்_அவர்களின் தோல்விக்குப் பிறகு அவர்கள் வெற்றியடைவார்கள்.

in a nearby land, but they will gain victory after their defeat

Fee bidAAi sineena lillahi alamru min qablu wamin baAAdu wayawmaithin yafrahu almuminoona

Within three to nine years. The decision of the matter, before and after (these events) is only with Allâh, (before the defeat of the Romans by the Persians, and after the defeat of the Persians by the Romans). And on that day, the believers (i.e. Muslims) will rejoice (at the victory given by Allâh to the Romans against the Persians) –

Within three to nine years. To Allah belongs the command before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice

(அதுவும்) சில ஆண்டுகளுக்குள்ளாகவே (வெற்றி அடைவார்கள். வெற்றி தோல்வி என்ற) விஷயம் இதற்கு முன்னரும், இதற்குப் பின்னரும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே சொந்தமானது. (அவர்கள் வெற்றியடையும்) அந்நாளில் நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவியைக் கண்டு மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்.

சில வருடங்களுக்குள்ளேயே! (இதற்கு) முன்னும், (இதற்கு) பின்னும், (வெற்றி தோல்வி குறித்த) அதிகாரம் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குத்தான்; (ரோமர்கள் வெற்றி பெறும்) அந்நாளில் முஃமின்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்.

சில வருடங்களில் (அவர்கள் வெற்றியடைவர். வெற்றி தோல்வி அளிக்கும்) அதிகாரம் (இதற்கு) முன்னரும் (இதற்குப்) பின்னரும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது, (அவர்கள் வெற்றியடையும்) அந்நாளில், விசுவாசிகள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவார்கள்.

within a few years. To Allah belongs the whole matter before and after [the victory]. On that day the believers will rejoice

Binasri Allahi yansuru man yashao wahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu

With the Help of Allâh. He helps whom He wills, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

அல்லாஹ், தான் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு உதவி புரிகிறான். அவன் (அனைவரையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் கிருபையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவியினால் (வெற்றி கிடைக்கும்); அவன்தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு உதவி புரிகிறான் - மேலும், (யாவரையும்) அவன் மிகைத்தவன்; மிக்க கிருபையுடையவன்.

அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவிகொண்டு (மகிழ்ச்சி அடைவர்). அவன் தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு உதவி புரிகிறான், அவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன், பெருங்கிருபையுடையவன்.

at the victory granted by Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

WaAAda Allahi la yukhlifu Allahu waAAdahu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona

(It is) a Promise of Allâh (i.e. Allâh will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allâh fails not in His Promise, but most of men know not.

[It is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know.

(இது) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதியாகும். அல்லாஹ் தன்னுடைய வாக்குறுதியில் தவறுவதில்லை. எனினும், மனிதரில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் (இதனை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

இது அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதியாகும்; அல்லாஹ் தன் வாக்குறுதியில் தவறமாட்டான். ஆனால், மனிதரில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

(இது) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி, அல்லாஹ் தன்னுடைய வாக்குறுதியில் மாற்றம் செய்யமாட்டான், எனினும் மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதனை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

This is the promise of Allah. Allah never breaks His promise, but most people do not know.

YaAAlamoona thahiran mina alhayati alddunya wahum AAani alakhirati hum ghafiloona

They know only the outside appearance of the life of the world (i.e. the matters of their livelihood, like irrigating or sowing or reaping), and they are heedless of the Hereafter.

They know what is apparent of the worldly life, but they, of the Hereafter, are unaware.

அவர்கள், இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையிலுள்ள வெளிப்படையான விஷயங்களை அறி(ந்து கவனிக்)கின்றனர். ஆனால், அவர்கள் மறுமையைப் பற்றி முற்றிலும் பராமுகமாயிருக்கின்றனர்.

அவர்கள் இந்த உலக வாழ்விலிருந்து (அதன்) வெளித்தோற்றத்தையே அறிகிறார்கள் - ஆனால் அவர்கள் மறுமையைப் பற்றி அலட்சியமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.

அவர்கள் இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையிலிருந்து வெளிப்படையானதை (மட்டும்) அறிவார்கள், அவர்களோ மறுமையைப் பற்றி மறந்தவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

They only know the apparent life of this world, but they are heedless of the Hereafter.

Awalam yatafakkaroo fee anfusihim ma khalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi waajalin musamman wainna katheeran mina alnnasi biliqai rabbihim lakafiroona

Do they not think deeply (in their own selves) about themselves (how Allâh created them from nothing, and similarly He will resurrect them)? Allâh has created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, except with truth and for an appointed term. And indeed many of mankind deny the Meeting with their Lord. (Tafsir At-Tabarî)

Do they not contemplate within themselves? Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers.

(இதனை) அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளாகவே கவனிக்க வேண்டாமா? வானங்களையும். பூமியையும், இவைகளுக்கு மத்தியில் உள்ளவைகளையும் நியாயமான காரணமின்றியும், குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையின்றியும் அல்லாஹ் படைக்கவில்லை. எனினும், மனிதரில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனைச் சந்திப்பதையும் நிராகரிக்கின்றனர்.

அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளே (இது பற்றிச்) சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்க வேண்டாமா? அல்லாஹ் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், இவ்விரண்டிற்கு மிடையிலுள்ளவற்றையும், உண்மையையும், குறிப்பட்ட தவணையையும் கொண்டல்லாமல் படைக்கவில்லை; எனினும் நிச்சயமாக மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் தங்கள் இறைவன் சந்திப்பை நிராகரிக்கிறார்கள்.

அவர்கள் தங்களைப்பற்றி (அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை எவ்வாறு படைத்துள்ளான் என) சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், அவையிரண்டிற்கு மத்தியிலுள்ளவைகளையும் உண்மையை (நீதியை)க் கொண்டும், (ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும்) குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட தவணையைக் கொண்டுமே தவிர அல்லாஹ் படைக்கவில்லை, இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் சந்திப்பை நிராகரிக்கக் கூடியவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

Do they not reflect on themselves? Allah did not create the heavens and earth and all that is between them except for a true purpose and for an appointed term, but most people deny the meeting with their Lord.

Awalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharoo alarda waAAamarooha akthara mimma AAamarooha wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona

Do they not travel in the land, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength, and they tilled the earth and populated it in greater numbers than these (pagans) have done, and there came to them their Messengers with clear proofs. Surely, Allâh wronged them not, but they used to wrong themselves.

Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரிய வேண்டாமா? அவ்வாறாயின், இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்த (நிராகரிப்ப)வர்களின் முடிவு எவ்வாறாயிற்று என்பதைக் கண்டுகொள்வார்கள். (முன்னிருந்த) அவர்கள் இவர்களைவிட பலசாலிகளாகவும், இவர்கள் எவ்வளவு பூமியை அபிவிருத்தி செய்தார்களோ அதைவிட அதிகமான பூமிகளைப் பண்படுத்தி அபிவிருத்தி செய்தவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள். (இந்நிலைமையில்) அவர்களிடம் நம்முடைய தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள். அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்குத் தீங்கிழைக்கவில்லை. எனினும், அவர்கள் (அந்நபிமார்களைப் பொய்யாக்கித்) தமக்குத் தாமே தீங்கிழைத்துக் கொண்டனர்.

அவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றிப் பயணம் செய்து, அவர்களுக்கு முன்னால் இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு என்னவாயிற்று என்பதைப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அவர்கள் இவர்களைவிட வலிமை மிக்கவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்களும் பூமியில் விவசாயம் செய்தார்கள். இன்னும் இவர்கள் அதை (உழுது) பண்படுத்தியதை விட அவர்கள் அதை அதிகமாகவே (உழுது) பண்படுத்தியிருந்தார்கள். அவர்களிடமும் அவர்களுக்கான (இறை) தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு ஒருபோதும் அநியாயம் செய்யவில்லை. ஆனால், அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குத் தாங்களே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டார்கள்.

இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித்திரிந்து, இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படி இருந்தது என்பதை (கவனித்து)ப் பார்க்கவேண்டாமா? (முன் இருந்த) அவர்கள், இவர்களைவிட மிகுந்த பலசாலிகளாக இருந்தனர், இவர்கள் எவ்வளவு பூமியைப் பண்படுத்தி விவசாயம் செய்து அபிவிருத்திச் செய்தார்களோ அதை விட அதிகமாகப் (பூமியைப்) பண்படுத்தி அபிவிருத்தி செய்தவர்களாகவும் அவர்கள் இருந்தார்கள், இன்னும் (அல்லாஹ்வினால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட) அவர்களின் தூதர்கள் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளைக்கொண்டு அவர்களிடம் வந்தார்கள், ஆகவே அல்லாஹ் ஒருபோதும் அவர்களுக்கு அநியாயம் செய்வதற்காக இருக்கவில்லை, எனினும் அவர்கள் (அந்நபிமார்களைப் பொய்யாக்கி) தங்களுக்குத் தாமே அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டனர்.

Have they not traveled through the land to see how was the end of those who came before them? They were more powerful than them, and they tilled the land and built it more than these people have ever built. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs. It was not Allah Who wronged them, but it was they who wronged themselves.

Thumma kana AAaqibata allatheena asaoo alssooa an kaththaboo biayati Allahi wakanoo biha yastahzioona

Then evil was the end of those who did evil, because they denied the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, Messengers, etc.) of Allâh and made a mockery of them.

Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them.

அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கி அவற்றைப் பரிகசித்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததன் காரணமாக, தீமை செய்து கொண்டிருந்த அவர்களின் முடிவும் தீமையாகவே முடிந்தது.

பிறகு, அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் வசனங்களைப் பொய்ப்பிக்க முற்பட்டு, அவற்றைப் பரிகசித்துக் கொண்டும் இருந்ததனால் தீமை செய்தவர்களின் முடிவும் தீமையாகவே ஆயிற்று.  

பின்னர், தீமை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு, அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கியதாலும், அவற்றை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்ததாலும் மிகத் தீயதாகவே ஆகிவிட்டது.

Then the end of the evildoers was utterly evil because they rejected the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them.

Allahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu thumma ilayhi turjaAAoona

Allâh (Alone) originates the creation, then He will repeat it, then to Him you will be returned.

Allah begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned.

(மனிதர்களே!) அல்லாஹ்வே படைப்புப் பொருள்களை முதலாவதாக உற்பத்தி செய்கின்றான். அவனே (அவைகள் இறந்த பின்னரும்) அவைகளை மீள வைப்பான். பின்னர், (மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் அனைவரும் அவனிடமே கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்.

அல்லாஹ்தான் படைப்பைத் துவங்குகிறான்; பின்னர் அவனே அதை மீட்டுகிறான்; பின்னர் அவனிடமே நீங்கள் திரும்பக் கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்.

(மனிதர்களே!) அல்லாஹ்(வே) படைப்பை (ஆரம்பமாக)த் தொடங்குகின்றான், பின்னர், அதனை அவன் மீளவைப்பான், பின்னர் (மனிதர்களே!) நீங்கள் (அனைவரும்) அவனிடமே மறுமைக்காக திரும்பக் கொண்டுவரப்படுவீர்கள்.

Allah brings the creation into being, then He will repeat it, then to Him you will be returned.

Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yublisu almujrimoona

And on the Day when the Hour will be established, the Mujrimûn (disbelievers, sinners, criminals, polytheists) will be plunged into destruction with (deep regrets, sorrows, and) despair.

And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will be in despair.

விசாரணைக் காலம் வரும் நாளில் குற்றவாளிகள் நம்பிக்கை இழந்துவிடுவார்கள்.

மேலும் (இறுதி) நேரம் நிலைபெறும் நாளில் குற்றவாளிகள் நம்பிக்கை இழப்பார்கள்.

மேலும், மறுமைநாள் நிலைபெறும் நாளில், குற்றவாளிகள் நம்பிக்கையிழந்து விடுவார்கள்.

On the Day when the Hour begins, the wicked will be in utmost despair.

Walam yakun lahum min shurakaihim shufaAAao wakanoo bishurakaihim kafireena

No intercessors will they have from those whom they made equal with Allâh (partners, i.e. their so-called associate gods), and they will (themselves) reject and deny their partners.

And there will not be for them among their [alleged] partners any intercessors, and they will [then] be disbelievers in their partners.

(ஏனென்றால்) அவர்கள் இணைவைத்து வணங்கியவைகளில் ஒன்றுமே அவர்களுக்குப் பரிந்து பேசாது. (இணைவைத்த) அவர்களும் தாங்கள் இணை வைத்தவைகளைப் புறக்கணித்து விடுவார்கள்.

அப்போது, அவர்கள் இணை வைத்தவர்களில் எவரும் அவர்களுக்காகப் பரிந்து பேசுவதாக இராது; (இணை வைத்த) அவர்களும், தாங்கள் இணை வைத்தவர்களை நிராகரிப்போராகி விடுவார்கள்.

(ஏனென்றால், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணையாக்கிய) அவர்களுடைய இணையாளர்களிலிருந்து பரிந்துரையாளர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு இருக்கவேமட்டார்கள், தாங்கள் இணையாக்கியவர்களை அவர்களும் நிராகரிப்போராகி விடுவார்கள்.

They will have no intercessors among their [so-called] partners, rather they will disown those partners.

Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yawmaithin yatafarraqoona

And on the Day when the Hour will be established, that Day shall (all men) be separated (i.e. the believers will be separated from the disbelievers).

And the Day the Hour appears - that Day they will become separated.

விசாரணையின் அந்நாள் வரும் சமயத்தில் (நல்லவர்களும் தீயவர்களும்) வெவ்வேறாகப் பிரிந்துவிடுவார்கள்.

மேலும் (இறுதித் தீர்ப்புக்குரிய) நாள் நிலைபெறும்போது - அந்நாளில், அவர்கள் (நல்லோர், தீயோர் எனப்) பிரிந்து விடுவார்கள்.

இன்னும், மறுமைநாள் நிலைபெறும் நாளில்_(விசுவாசிகள், நிராகரித்தோர் என இருபிரிவாக) அந்நாளில் அவர்கள் பிரிந்து விடுவார்கள்.

On the Day when the Hour begins, the people will then be separated:

Faamma allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fahum fee rawdatin yuhbaroona

Then as for those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and did righteous good deeds, such shall be honoured and made to enjoy luxurious life (forever) in a Garden of Delight (Paradise).

And as for those who had believed and done righteous deeds, they will be in a garden [of Paradise], delighted.

ஆகவே, எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் (மறுமையில் சுவனபதியிலுள்ள) உன்னதமாகச் சிங்காரிக்கப்பட்ட பூங்காவனத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியில் ஆழ்ந்திருப்பார்கள்.

ஆகவே, எவர்கள் ஈமான்கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்களைச் செய்தார்களோ அவர்கள், (சுவர்க்கப்) பூங்காவில் மகிழ்விக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

எனவே, “விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்தார்களே அத்தகையோர்_(மறுமையில் சுவனபதியிலுள்ள உன்னதமான) பூங்காவனத்தில் அவர்கள் மகிழ்விக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, they will be rejoicing in a garden [of Paradise].

Waamma allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina waliqai alakhirati faolaika fee alAAathabi muhdaroona

And as for those who disbelieved and denied Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, Allâh's Messengers, Resurrection, etc.), and the Meeting of the Hereafter, such shall be brought forth to the torment (in the Hell-fire).

But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].

எவர்கள் (என்னை) நிராகரித்து என்னுடைய வசனங்களையும், மறுமை(யில் எனது) சந்திப்பையும் பொய்யாக்குகின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் வேதனையில் சிக்கிக் கிடப்பார்கள்.

இன்னும், எவர்கள் காஃபிராகி, நம்முடைய வசனங்களை, மறுமையின் சந்திப்பையும் பொய்ப்பித்தார்களோ அ(த்தகைய)வர்கள், வேதனைக்காகக் கொண்டு வரப்படுவார்கள்.

மேலும், (நம்மை) நிராகரித்து, நம்முடைய வசனங்களையும், மறுமையின் சந்திப்பையும் பொய்யாக்குகின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர்_அவர்கள் வேதனையில் பிரசன்னமாக்கப்படுபவர்கள்.

And as for those who disbelieved, and rejected Our signs and the meeting of the Hereafter, they will be arraigned for punishment.

Fasubhana Allahi heena tumsoona waheena tusbihoona

So glorify Allâh [above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)], when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib) sunset and ('Ishâ') night prayers], and when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer].

So exalted is Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning.

ஆகவே, (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) நீங்கள் உங்கள் காலை நேரத்திலும் மாலை நேரத்திலும் அல்லாஹ்வைப் புகழ்ந்து கொண்டிருங்கள்.

ஆகவே, (முஃமின்களே!) நீங்கள் மாலையி(லாகும் பொழுதி)லும், நீங்கள் காலையி(லாகும் பொழுதி)லும் அல்லாஹ்வை துதித்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள்.

ஆகவே, (விசுவாசிகளே!) நீங்கள் மாலைப்பொழுதை அடையும்போதும், காலைப் பொழுதை அடையும்போதும் அல்லாஹ்வைத் துதி செய்து கொண்டிருங்கள்.

So glory be to Allah in the evening and in the morning,

Walahu alhamdu fee alssamawati waalardi waAAashiyyan waheena tuthhiroona

And His are all praise and thanks in the heavens and the earth; and (glorify Him) in the afternoon (i.e. offer 'Asr prayer) and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline (i.e. offer Zuhr prayer). (Ibn 'Abbâs said: "These are the five compulsory congregational prayers mentioned in the Qur'ân.") (Tafsir At-Tabari)

And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon.

இரவிலோ, பகலிலோ, வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலுமுள்ளவை அனைத்தும் (போற்றி) புகழும் புகழனைத்தும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குரியன. (ஆகவே, அந்த நேரங்களில் நீங்களும் அவனைப் போற்றி புகழ்ந்து கொண்டிருங்கள்.)

இன்னும் வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும்; அவனுக்கே புகழனைத்தும்; இன்னும், இரவிலும் நீங்கள் ளுஹருடைய நேரத்திலாகும் பொழுதும் (அல்லாஹ்வைத் துதியுங்கள்).

வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும் புகழனைத்தும் அவனுக்கே உரியன, இன்னும், முன்னிரவிலும், நீங்கள் நடுப்பகலை அடையும் சமயத்திலும் (அல்லாஹ்வைத் துதியுங்கள்).

and all praise is due to Him in the heavens and earth – and [glorify Him] in the afternoon and at noon.

Yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi wayuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha wakathalika tukhrajoona

He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected).

He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.

அவனே இறந்தவைகளிலிருந்து உயிருள்ளவைகளை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றான். அவனே உயிருள்ளவைகளிலிருந்து மரணித்தவைகளை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றான். அவனே இறந்த பூமிகளையும் செழிப்பாக்குகின்றான். இவ்வாறே (மரணித்த பின்னர்) மறுமையில் நீங்கள் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுவீர்கள்.

அவனே உயிரற்றதிலிருந்து உயிருள்ளதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறான்; உயிருள்ளதிலிருந்து உயிரற்றதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறான்; இந்தப் பூமியை அது இறந்தபின் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்; இவ்வாறே (மரித்தபின் மறுமையில்) நீங்களும் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுவீர்கள்.  

அவன் உயிரற்றதிலிருந்து உயிருள்ளதை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றான், மேலும், அவன் உயிருள்ளதிலிருந்து உயிரற்றதை வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றான், அவனே பூமியை_அது இறந்த(தாகி வறண்ட) பின் (செழிப்பாக்கி) உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான், இவ்வாறே (மரணித்த பின்னர் மறுமையில்) நீங்களும் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுவீர்கள்.

He brings the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living, and gives life to the earth after its death. This is how you will be brought forth.

Wamin ayatihi an khalaqakum min turabin thumma itha antum basharun tantashiroona

And among His Signs is that He created you (Adam) from dust, and then [Hawwâ' (Eve) from Adam's rib, and then his offspring from the semen, and] – behold, you are human beings scattered!

And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then, suddenly you were human beings dispersing [throughout the earth].

மண்ணிலிருந்து படைக்கப்பட்ட நீங்கள் பல பாகங்களிலும் சென்று திரியக்கூடிய மனிதராக ஆனதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் ஒன்றாகும்.

மேலும், அவன் உங்களை மண்ணிலிருந்து படைத்திருப்பதும், பின்பு நீங்கள் மனிதர்களாக (பூமியின் பல பாகங்களில்) பரவியதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளதாகும்.

இன்னும், அவன் உங்களை மண்ணிலிருந்து படைத்திருப்பதும், பின்னர், இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் (பூமியின் பல பாகங்களிலும்) மனிதர்களாக பரவி இருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளதாகும்.

Among His signs is that He created you from dust, then you became human beings spreading [on the earth].

Wamin ayatihi an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwajan litaskunoo ilayha wajaAAala baynakum mawaddatan warahmatan inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona

And among His Signs is that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.

And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

நீங்கள் சேர்ந்து வாழக்கூடிய உங்கள் மனைவிகளை உங்களிலிருந்தே அவன் உற்பத்தி செய்து, உங்களுக்கிடையில் அன்பையும் நேசத்தையும் உண்டுபண்ணி இருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் ஒன்றாகும். சிந்தித்து உணரக்கூடிய மக்களுக்கு இவைகளில் (ஒன்றல்ல) நிச்சயமாகப் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

இன்னும், நீங்கள் அவர்களிடம் ஆறுதல் பெறுதற்குரிய (உங்கள்) மனைவியரை உங்களிலிருந்தே உங்களுக்காக அவன் படைத்திருப்பதும்; உங்களுக்கிடையே உவப்பையும், கிருபையையும் உண்டாக்கியிருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளதாகும்; சிந்தித்து உணரக்கூடிய சமூகத்திற்கு நிச்சயமாக, இதில் (பல) அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

(நீங்கள் சேர்ந்து வாழக்கூடிய உங்கள்) மனைவிகளை நீங்கள் அவர்களிடம் மன நிம்மதி பெறுவதற்காக உங்களிலிருந்தே உங்களுக்காக அவன் படைத்து, உங்களுக்கிடையில் அன்பையும், கிருபையும் ஆக்கியிருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளதாகும். சிந்தித்து உணரக்கூடிய சமூகத்தார்க்கு இதில் நிச்சயமாக(ப் பல) அத்தாட்சிகளிருக்கின்றன.

And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves that you may find comfort in them, and He placed between you love and mercy. Indeed, there are signs in this for people who reflect.

Wamin ayatihi khalqu alssamawati waalardi waikhtilafu alsinatikum waalwanikum inna fee thalika laayatin lilAAalimeena

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.

And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும் படைத்திருப்பதும், உங்களுடைய மொழிகளும் நிறங்களும் வெவ்வேறாக இருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும். இதிலும் கல்விமான்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாகப் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

மேலும் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைத்திருப்பதும்; உங்களுடைய மொழிகளும் உங்களுடைய நிறங்களும் வேறுபட்டிருப்பதும், அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும். நிச்சயமாக இதில் கற்றரிந்தோருக்கு அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் படைத்திருப்பதும், உங்களுடைய மொழிகளும், நிறங்களும் வேறுபட்டிருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளதாகும். இதில் அறிவுடையோருக்கு நிச்சயமாக(ப் பல) அத்தாட்சிகளிருக்கின்றன.

And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and earth, and the diversity of your tongues and colors. Indeed, there are signs in this for those who have knowledge.

Wamin ayatihi manamukum biallayli waalnnahari waibtighaokum min fadlihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona

And among His Signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen.

And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen.

இரவிலும் பகலிலும் நீங்கள் நித்திரை செய்து இளைப்பாறிக் கொள்வதும் (பூமியின் பல பாகங்களிலும் சென்று) நீங்கள் அவனுடைய அருளைத் தேடிக்கொள்வதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் ஒன்றாகும். (நல்லுபதேசத்தைச்) செவியுறும் மக்களுக்கு இதிலும் நிச்சயமாகப் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

இன்னும், இரவிலும் பகலிலும், உங்களுடைய (ஓய்வும்) உறக்கமும்; அவன் அருளிலிருந்து நீங்கள் தேடுவதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளினின்றும் உள்ளன - செவியுறும் சமூகத்திற்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

இரவிலும், பகலிலும் நீங்கள் நித்திரை செய்(து இளைப்பாறிக்கொள்)வதும், (பூமியின் பல பாகங்களுக்குச் சென்று) நீங்கள் அவனுடைய பேரருளைத் தேடிக்கொள்வதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும், (கவனமாகச்) செவியுறும் சமூகத்தார்க்கு, இதில் நிச்சயமாக(ப் பல) அத்தாட்சிகளிருக்கின்றன.

And among His signs is your sleep by night and day, and your seeking of His bounty [by day]. Indeed, there are signs in this for people who listen.

Wamin ayatihi yureekumu albarqa khawfan watamaAAan wayunazzilu mina alssamai maan fayuhyee bihi alarda baAAda mawtiha inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona

And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, for fear and for hope, and He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and therewith revives the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who understand.

And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.

நயமும் பயமும் தரக்கூடியவாறு மின்னலை அவன் உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதும், மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையை பொழியச் செய்து இறந்த பூமியை செழிக்கச் செய்வதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளனவாகும். அறிவுடைய மக்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் (ஒன்றல்ல) பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

அச்சமும், ஆசையும் ஏற்படும்படி அவன் உங்களுக்கு மின்னலைக் காட்டுவதும்; பிறகு வானத்திலிருந்து மழை பொழியச் செய்து, அதைக் கொண்டு பூமியை - அது (வரண்டு) இறந்த பின்னர் உயிர்ப்பிப்பதும் அவன் அத்தாட்சிகளினின்றும் உள்ளன; நிச்சயமாக அதில் சிந்தித்துணரும் சமூகத்திற்கு அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

இன்னும், பயமும், ஆதரவும் தரக்கூடியவாறு மின்னலை அவன் உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பதும், வானத்திலிருந்து மழையை இறக்கி வைத்துப் பின்னர், அதனைக் கொண்டு பூமியை_அது இறந்த (தாகி வறண்ட) பின் உயிர்ப்பிக்க (வைத்துச் செழிக்க)ச் செய்வதும், அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும். (அல்லாஹ்வின் பிரமாண்டமான அத்தாட்சிகளை) அறிந்து கொள்ளும் சமூகத்தார்க்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் அத்தாட்சிகளிருக்கின்றன.

And among His signs is that He shows you lightning, causing fear and hope, and He sends down water from the sky, reviving therewith the earth after its death. Indeed, there are signs in this for people who understand.

Wamin ayatihi an taqooma alssamao waalardu biamrihi thumma itha daAAakum daAAwatan mina alardi itha antum takhrujoona

And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command. Then afterwards when He will call you by a single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (i.e. from your graves for reckoning and recompense).

And of His signs is that the heaven and earth remain by His command. Then when He calls you with a [single] call from the earth, immediately you will come forth.

வானமும் பூமியும் அவன் கட்டளைப்படி நிலை பெற்றிருப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் ஒன்றாகும். (உங்களுக்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட காலம் வரையில் நீங்கள் அதில் உயிர் வாழ்ந்து மரணித்துப் பூமியில் அடக்கப்பட்டதன் பின்னரும்) அவன் உங்களை அழைக்கும்போது ஒரே அழைப்பில் நீங்கள் பூமியில் இருந்து வெளிப்பட்டு விடுவீர்கள்.

வானமும், பூமியும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையினால் நிலைபெற்று நிற்பதும் அவன் அத்தாட்சிகளினின்றும் உள்ளன; பின்னர் ஓர் அழைப்பைக் கொண்டு உங்களை அழைத்த உடன் நீங்கள், பூமியிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டு வருவீர்கள்.

வானமும், பூமியும் அவன் கட்டளைப்படி நிலைபெற்று நிற்பதும், அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளதாகும், பின்னர், அவன் உங்களை ஒருமுறை அழைத்தால், அதே சமயம் நீங்கள் பூமியிலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டுவிடுவீர்கள்.

And among His signs is that the sky and earth are maintained by His command. Then when He calls you out of the earth, you will immediately come forth.

Walahu man fee alssamawati waalardi kullun lahu qanitoona

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him.

And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and earth. All are to Him devoutly obedient.

வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் உள்ளவை அனைத்தும் அவனுக்குரியனவே. இவை அனைத்தும் அவனுக்கு அடிபணிந்து நடக்கின்றன.

வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் இருப்பவை எல்லாம் அவனுக்கே உரியவை - எல்லாம் அவனுக்கே கீழ்படிந்து நடக்கின்றன.

வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் உள்ளவையாவும் அவனுக்கே உரியன! (இவை) ஒவ்வொன்றும் அவனுக்கே கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடக்கின்றன.

To Him belong all those who are in the heavens and earth; all are devotedly obedient to Him.

Wahuwa allathee yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu wahuwa ahwanu AAalayhi walahu almathalu alaAAla fee alssamawati waalardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu

And He it is Who originates the creation, then He will repeat it (after it has been perished); and this is easier for Him. His is the highest description (i.e. none has the right to be worshipped but He, and there is nothing comparable to Him) in the heavens and in the earth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

And it is He who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is [even] easier for Him. To Him belongs the highest attribute in the heavens and earth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

அவன்தான் படைப்புகளை ஆரம்பத்தில் உற்பத்தி செய்பவன். அவனே (அவை மரணித்த பின்னரும் உயிர்கொடுத்து) அவற்றை மீளவைக்கிறவன். இது அவனுக்கு மிக்க எளிது. வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் அவனுடைய (உதாரணமும் பரிசுத்தத்) தன்மை(யும்)தான் மிக்க மேலானதாகும். அவன் (அனைத்தையும்) மிகைத்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.

அவனே படைப்பைத் துவங்குகின்றான்; பின்னர் அவனே அதை மீட்டுகிறான்; மேலும், இது அவனுக்கு மிகவும் எளிதேயாகும். வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் மிக்க உயர்ந்த பண்புகள் அவனுக்குரியதே; மேலும் அவன் மிகைத்தவன்; ஞானம் மிக்கவன்.  

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், படைப்பை (முன் மாதிரியின்றியே ஆரம்பமாக) அவன் தொடங்குகின்றான், பின்னர் அதை அவன் மீளவைக்கிறான், இது அவனுக்கு மிகவும் எளிதானதாகும். வானங்களிலும், பூமியிலும் மிக்க மேலான வர்ணனை(பண்பு) அவனுக்குரியதே, மேலும், அவனே (யாவற்றையும்) மிகைத்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

It is He Who originates the creation then repeats it, which is easier for Him. To Him belong the most sublime attributes in the heavens and earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Daraba lakum mathalan min anfusikum hal lakum mi mma malakat aymanukum min shurakaa fee ma razaqnakum faantum feehi sawaon takhafoonahum kakheefatikum anfusakum kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAqiloona

He sets forth for you a parable from your own selves: Do you have partners among those whom your right hands possess (i.e. your slaves) to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you whom you fear as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the signs in detail to a people who have sense.

He presents to you an example from yourselves. Do you have among those whom your right hands possess any partners in what We have provided for you so that you are equal therein [and] would fear them as your fear of one another [within a partnership]? Thus do We detail the verses for a people who use reason.

(மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள் அவனுடைய மேன்மையை அறிந்துகொள்வதற்காக) உங்களுக்குள்ளாகவே அவன் ஓர் உதாரணத்தைக் கூறுகிறான். நாம் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பொருள்களில், உங்கள் அடிமைகளில் எவரேனும் (உங்களுடைய பொருள்களுக்கு) உங்களுடன் சம உரிமை உடையவர்களாக ஆகிவிடுவார்களா? அல்லது நீங்கள் உங்களைப் பொருட் படுத்துவதைப் போல் அவர்களையும் பொருட்படுத்துவீர்களா? (பொருட்படுத்த மாட்டீர்களே! இவ்வாறிருக்க, படைக்கப்பட்ட இவைகளை நீங்கள் எனக்கு இணை ஆக்கலாமா?) அறிவுடைய மக்களுக்கு நம்முடைய வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விவரித்துக் கூறுகிறோம்.

உங்களிலிருந்தே அவன் உங்களுக்காக ஓர் உதாரணத்தை எடுத்துக் கூறுகிறான்: உங்கள் வலக்கரம் உரிமைப்படுத்திக் கொண்டவர்களில் (அடிமைகளில்) எவரையும், நாம் உங்களுக்கு அளித்திருப்ப(தான சம்பத்)தில் உங்களுடன் பங்காளிகளாக ஆக்கிக் கொண்டு அதில் அவர்களுடன் சமமாக இருக்கிறீர்களா? உங்களைப் போன்றோருக்கு பயப்படுவதைப்போல் அவர்களை பயப்படுகிறீர்களா? இவ்வாறாகவே நாம் நம் அத்தாட்சிகளை சிந்தித்துணரும் சமூகத்திற்கு விவரிக்கிறோம்.

(மனிதர்களே!) உங்களிலிருந்தே உங்களுக்கு ஓர் உதாரணத்தை (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் கூறுகிறான்; உங்களுடைய வலக்கரங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களிலிருந்து, நாம் உங்களுக்கு வழங்கிய (செல்வம், அதிகாரம் முதலிய)வற்றில், நீங்கள் (அனைவரும்) அதில் சமமானவர்களாக இருக்கும் கூட்டுக்காரர்கள் உங்களுக்கு உண்டா? நீங்கள் உங்களைப்(போன்ற சுதந்திரமான கூட்டுக்காரர்களின் நன்மை, தீமைகளை) பயந்து கொள்வது போன்று (உங்களுக்குச் சமமான கூட்டுக்காரர்களாக அடிமைகளான அவர்கள் ஆகிவிடும் விஷயத்தில்) அவர்களை நீங்கள் பயப்படுகிறீர்கள்; (உங்கள் இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அடிமையை உங்களுக்கு சமமானவர்களாக ஆக்க நீங்கள் விரும்பாத போது, அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மற்றவர்களை எவ்வாறு சமமாக்குகிறீர்கள்?) அறிவுடைய சமூகத்தார்க்கு (நம்முடைய) வசனங்களை இவ்வாறு விவரித்துக் கூறுகிறோம்.

He makes this comparison for you from your own lives: do you have among your slaves any partners who equally share with you whatever wealth we have given you, so you are fearing them as you fear one another? This is how We make the verses clear for people who understand.

Bali ittabaAAa allatheena thalamoo ahwaahum bighayri AAilmin faman yahdee man adalla Allahu wama lahum min nasireena

Nay, but those who do wrong follow their own lusts without knowledge. Then who will guide him whom Allâh has sent astray? And for such there will be no helpers.

But those who wrong follow their [own] desires without knowledge. Then who can guide one whom Allah has sent astray? And for them there are no helpers.

எனினும், அநியாயக்காரர்கள் எவ்வித அறிவுமின்றியே (இறைவனின் வசனங்களை நிராகரித்துவிட்டுத்) தங்களுடைய சரீர இச்சையைப் பின்பற்றி நடக்கின்றனர். அல்லாஹ் எவர்களைத் தவறான வழியில் விட்டுவிட்டானோ அவர்களை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்தக் கூடியவர் யார்? இத்தகையவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்பவர்கள் ஒருவரும் இல்லை.

எனினும் அநியாயக்காரர்கள் கல்வி ஞானமில்லாமல் தம் மனோ இச்சைகளையே பின்பற்றுகிறார்கள்; ஆகவே எவர்களை அல்லாஹ் வழிகெடச் செய்தானோ, அவர்களை நேர் வழியில் கொண்டு வருபவர் யார்? மேலும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வோர் எவருமில்லர்.

மாறாக, அநியாயக்காரர்கள் எவ்வித அறிவுமின்றியே தங்களுடைய மனோ இச்சைகளைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றனர், எனவே, அல்லாஹ் எவர்களை வழிகெடுத்துவிட்டானோ அவர்களை நேர் வழியில் கொண்டு வருபவர் யார்? மேலும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வபவர்களும் இல்லை.

In fact, the wrongdoers follow their own desires without any knowledge. Who can guide those whom Allah caused to stray? They will have no helpers.

Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni haneefan fitrata Allahi allatee fatara alnnasa AAalayha la tabdeela likhalqi Allahi thalika alddeenu alqayyimu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona

So, set you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) your face towards the religion (of pure Islâmic Monotheism) Hanîf (worship none but Allâh Alone). Allâh's Fitrah (i.e. Allâh's Islâmic Monotheism) with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalq-illâh (i.e. the religion of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most of men know not. (Tafsir At-Tabarî)

So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

(நபியே! இப்ராஹீமுடைய) நேரான மார்க்கத்தை நோக்கி நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய முகத்தை உறுதியான ஓர்மைப்பாட்டுடன் திருப்புங்கள். (அதுவே) மனிதர்களுக்காக அல்லாஹ் ஏற்படுத்திய இயற்கை மார்க்கமாகும். அவன் படைத்த (மார்க்கத்)தை (எவராலும்) மாற்றிவிட முடியாது. இதுதான் நிலையான மார்க்கம். எனினும், மனிதரில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் (இதனை) அறிந்துகொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள்.

ஆகவே, நீர் உம்முகத்தை தூய (இஸ்லாமிய) மார்க்கத்தின் பக்கமே முற்றிலும் திருப்பி நிலைநிறுத்துவீராக! எ(ந்த மார்க்கத்)தில் அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்களைப் படைத்தானோ அதுவே அவனுடைய (நிலையான) இயற்கை மார்க்கமாகும்; அல்லாஹ்வின் படைத்தலில் மாற்றம் இல்லை; அதுவே நிலையான மார்க்கமாகும். ஆனால் மனிதரில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதை) அறியமாட்டார்கள்.

(நபியே!) நீர் உம்முடைய முகத்தை மார்க்கத்தின்பால் (முற்றிலும்) திருப்பியவராக நிலைநிறுத்தி விடுவீராக! அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்களை எ(ந்த மார்க்கத்)தில் படைத்தானோ அத்தகைய இயற்கை மார்க்க(மாகிய இஸ்லா)த்தை (பற்றிப்பிடித்து நிலைத்திருப்பீராக) அல்லாஹ்வின் படைப்பில் எவ்வித மாற்றமும் இல்லை, இதுவே (சரியான) நிலையான மார்க்கமாகும். எனினும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் (இதனை) அறிந்து கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.

Adhere sincerely to the true religion in all uprightness. This is the natural disposition with which Allah has created mankind. There is no change in Allah’s creation. This is the straight religion, but most people do not know.

Muneebeena ilayhi waittaqoohu waaqeemoo alssalata wala takoonoo mina almushrikeena

(And remain always) turning in repentance to Him (only), and be afraid and dutiful to Him; and perform As-Salât (the prayers) and be not of Al-Mushrikûn (the polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh).

[Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be of those who associate others with Allah

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்களும் அந்த) ஒருவனிடமே திரும்பி (இஸ்லாம் மார்க்கத்தின் மீது உறுதியாக இருந்து) அவ(ன் ஒருவ)னுக்கே பயந்து தொழுகையையும் கடைப்பிடித்து நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். இணைவைத்து வணங்குபவர்களில் நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள்.

நீங்கள் அவன் பக்கமே திரும்பியவர்களாக இருங்கள்; அவனிடம் பயபக்தியுடன் நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; தொழுகையையும் நிலை நிறுத்துங்கள்; இன்னும் இணைவைப்போரில் நீங்களும் ஆகி விடாதீர்கள்.

(விசுவாசிகளே!) அவன்பக்கமே திரும்பியவர்களாக (இயற்கை மார்க்கமான இஸ்லாத்தில் நிலைத்திருங்கள்), இன்னும் அவனை பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், தொழுகையையும் நிறைவேற்றுங்கள், மேலும் இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்போரில் நீங்கள் ஆகிவிடாதீர்கள்.

Turn to Him [in repentance] and fear Him, and establish prayer, and do not be among those who associate partners with Allah,

Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanoo shiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona

Of those who split up their religion (i.e. who left the true Islâmic Monotheism), and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the religion (Bid'ah), and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it.

[Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.

(தவிர) எவர்கள் தங்கள் மார்க்கத்திற்குள் பிரிவினையை உண்டு பண்ணி, பல பிரிவுகளாகப் பிரித்து, அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பாரும் தங்களிடமுள்ள (தவறான)வைகளைக் கொண்டு சந்தோஷப்படுகின்றனரோ (அவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து விடாதீர்கள்.)

எவர்கள் தங்கள் மார்க்கத்தில் பிரிவினைகளை உண்டாக்கி (பல) பிரிவுகளாகப் பிரிந்து விட்டனரோ; (அவர்களில் ஆகி விட வேண்டாம். அவ்வாறு பிரிந்த) ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்தாரும் தங்களிடமிருப்பதைக் கொண்டே மகிழ்வடைகிறார்கள்.

தங்கள் மார்க்கத்தை (பலவாறாக)ப் பிரிந்து, (பல) பிரிவினர்களாக ஆகிவிட்டனரே, அத்தகையோரில் (நீங்கள் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம் அவ்வாறு பிரிந்த) ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவோரும் தங்களிடமுள்ள (தவறான)தைக் கொண்டு சந்தோஷப்படுபவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்.

those who split up their religion and became sects, each party rejoicing in what it has.

Waitha massa alnnasa durrun daAAaw rabbahum muneebeena ilayhi thumma itha athaqahum minhu rahmatan itha fareequn minhum birabbihim yushrikoona

And when harm touches men, they cry sincerely only to their Lord (Allâh), turning to Him in repentance; but when He gives them a taste of His Mercy, behold, a party of them associate partners in worship with their Lord.

And when adversity touches the people, they call upon their Lord, turning in repentance to Him. Then when He lets them taste mercy from Him, at once a party of them associate others with their Lord,

மனிதர்களை யாதொரு தீங்கு அணுகும் பட்சத்தில் அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவன் பக்கம் முகம் நோக்கி அவனிடம் பிரார்த்திக்கிறார்கள். பின்னர் அவன் (அதனை நீக்கி) அவர்களைத் தன்னுடைய அருளைச் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்தால் அவர்களில் ஒரு பிரிவினர் தங்களுடைய இறைவனுக்கே இணை வைக்கின்றனர்.

மனிதர்களுக்கு (பசி, நோய், வறுமை, பஞ்சம் போன்ற ஏதேனும்) சங்கடம் ஏற்பட்டால் அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனிடம் முகம் திருப்பி, (அதை நீக்கியருள) அவனிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்கிறார்கள்; பிறகு அவன் அவர்களுக்கு தன்னிடமிருந்து ரஹ்மத்தை சுவைக்கச் செய்தால், அவர்களில் ஒரு பிரிவினர் தம் இறைவனுக்கு இணை வைக்கின்றனர்.

மனிதர்களை ஏதேனுமொரு தீங்கு தொட்டுவிடுமானால் அவர்கள் தங்கள் இரட்சகனை_(கலப்பற்ற இதயத்துடன் அவனுக்கு இணையளார்களை ஆக்காது) அவன் பாலே திரும்பியவர்களாக (அவனை மட்டும் பிரார்த்தித்து) அழைக்கின்றார்கள், பின்னர், அவன் (அத்தீங்கை நீக்கி) அவர்களை தன்னிடமிருந்துள்ள அருளை சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்தால், அப்பொழுது அவர்களிலிருந்து ஒரு பிரிவினர், தங்களுடைய இரட்சகனுக்கே இணை வைக்கின்றனர்.

When people are afflicted with hardship, they cry out to their Lord, turning to Him penitently. But as soon as He gives them a taste of His mercy, some of them associate partners with their Lord,

Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum fatamattaAAoo fasawfa taAAlamoona

So as to be ungrateful for the graces which We have bestowed on them. Then enjoy (your short life); but you will come to know.

So that they will deny what We have granted them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.

அன்றி, நாம் அவர்களுக்களித்த அருளுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்தாது நிராகரித்தும் விடுகின்றனர். (இவ்வாறு நிராகரிப் லிபவர்களே!) நீங்கள் உங்கள் இஷ்டப்படி சுகம் அனுபவித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். (உங்கள் செயலின் பயனைப்) பின்னர் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்.

நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அருளியதற்காக (நன்றி செலுத்தாமல்) அவர்கள் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கட்டும்; நீங்கள் சுகமனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள்; விரைவில் (இதன் விளைவை) நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்.

நாம் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததை அவர்கள் நிராகரிப்பதற்காக (இணை வைக்கிறார்கள்) ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (இவ்வுலகில்) சுகமனுபவியுங்கள், (அதன் விளைவை) அடுத்து நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்.

showing their ingratitude for what We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves for a while, but you will soon come to know.

Am anzalna AAalayhim sultanan fahuwa yatakallamu bima kanoo bihi yushrikoona

Or have We revealed to them an authority (a Scripture), which speaks of that which they have been associating with Him?

Or have We sent down to them an authority, and it speaks of what they were associating with Him?

அவர்கள் இணைவைத்து வணங்குவதற்கு ஆதாரமாகக் கூறக்கூடிய யாதொரு அத்தாட்சியையும் நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்திருக்கிறோமா? (அவ்வாறு ஒன்றும் இல்லை.)

அல்லது, அவர்கள் இணைவைத்(து வணங்குவ)தற்கு ஆதாரமாக கூறக்கூடிய ஏதாவது ஓர் அத்தாட்சியை நாம் அவர்களுக்கு இறக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறோமா?

அல்லது (வணக்கத்தில் இணையாக்கும்) இவர்களுக்கு யாதோர் சான்றை நாம் இறக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறோமோ? அப்போது அது, அவர்கள் எதைக் கொண்டு இணைவைத்து (அவர்கள் வணங்கி)க் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ அது பற்றிகூறும், (ஆனால் அவ்வாறு எதுவுமில்லை).

Is it that We have sent down to them any authority that speaks in support of their associating partners with Him?

Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan farihoo biha wain tusibhum sayyiatun bima qaddamat aydeehim itha hum yaqnatoona

And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy, they rejoice therein; but when some evil afflicts them because of (evil deeds and sins) that their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair!

And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair.

மனிதர்கள் நம்முடைய அருளைச் சுவைக்கும்படி நாம் செய்தால் அதைக்கொண்டு அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறார்கள். எனினும், அவர்களுடைய கைகளே தேடிக்கொண்ட (தீய) செயலின் காரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு யாதொரு தீங்கேற்படும் பட்சத்தில் உடனே அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கையிழந்து விடுகின்றனர்.

இன்னும் நாம் மனிதர்களை (நம்) ரஹ்மத்தை ருசிக்க (அனுபவிக்க)ச் செய்தால். அவர்கள் அதைக் கொண்டு மகிழ்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய கைகள் முன்னரே செய்துள்ளதைக் கொண்டு ஒரு தீங்கு அவர்களுக்கு சம்பவித்து விட்டால் அவர்கள் நிராசைப்பட்டு விடுகிறார்கள்.

இன்னும் நாம் மனிதர்களுக்கு (நம்முடைய) அருளைச்சுவைக்கச் செய்தால், அதைக்கொண்டு அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறார்கள், அவர்களுடைய கைகள் முற்படுத்தியவற்றின் காரணமாக அவர்களுக்கு யாதொரு தீ்ங்கேற்பட்டால், அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் நிராசையடைந்து விடுகிறார்கள்.

When We give people a taste of mercy, they rejoice in pride. But when they are afflicted with evil because of what their hands have done, they fall into utter despair.

Awalam yaraw anna Allaha yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona

Do they not see that Allâh enlarges the provision for whom He wills and straitens (it for whom He wills). Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who believe.

Do they not see that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு உணவை விரிவாக்குகின்றான்; (தான் நாடியவர்களுக்குக்) குறைத்து விடுகின்றான் என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனிக்கவில்லையா? நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட மக்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியோருக்கு ரிஸ்க்கை - ஆகார வசதிகளை - விசாலமாக்குகிறான்; (தான் நாடியோருக்குச்) சுருக்கியும் விடுகிறான் என்பதை அவர்கள் பார்க்க வில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக ஈமான் கொண்டுள்ள சமூகத்திற்கு இதில் அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு வாழ்வாதாரங்களை விசாலமாக்குகிறான், (தான் நாடியவர்களுக்கு) அளவோடு (சுருக்கியும்) கொடுக்கிறான் என்பதை அவர்கள் கவனிக்கவில்லையா? விசுவாசங்கொண்ட சமூகத்தாருக்கு, நிச்சயமாக இதில் (பல) அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

Do they not see that Allah extends provision to whom He wills or restricts it? Indeed, there are signs in this for people who believe.

Faati tha alqurba haqqahu waalmiskeena waibna alssabeeli thalika khayrun lillatheena yureedoona wajha Allahi waolaika humu almuflihoona

So, give to the kindred his due, and to Al-Miskîn (the needy) and to the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek Allâh's Countenance; and it is they who will be successful.

So give the relative his right, as well as the needy and the traveler. That is best for those who desire the countenance of Allah, and it is they who will be the successful.

(நபியே! உங்களது பொருளில்) உறவினருக்கு அவரின் உரிமையை கொடுத்து வாருங்கள். அவ்வாறே ஏழைகளுக்கும் வழிப்போக்கர்களுக்கும் (அவர்களுடைய உரிமையைக் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள்). எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய திருப்பொருத்தத்தை விரும்புகின்றார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு இதுவே மிக்க நன்றாகும். இத்தகையவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக வெற்றி பெறுவார்கள்.

ஆகவே, உறவினர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் பாத்தியதையைக் கொடுத்து வருவீராக. அவ்வாறே ஏழைகளுக்கும், வழிப்போக்கர்களுக்கும் (அவரவர்க்குரியதை கொடுத்து வருவீராக); எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப் பொருத்தத்தை நாடுகிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு இது மிக்க நன்மையுடையதாகும்; அவர்கள்தாம் (அவ்வாறு கொடுத்து வருபவர் தாம்) வெற்றியாளர்களாவார்கள்.

ஆகவே (நபியே! உமது பொருளில்) உறவினருக்கு_அவருடைய உரிமையை கொடுத்துவிடுவீராக! (அவ்வாறே) ஏழைகளுக்கும், வழிப்போக்கருக்கும் (அவர்களுடைய பாத்தியதையைக் கொடுத்துவிடுவீராக!) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய திரு முகத்தை நாடுகிறவர்களுக்கு இதுவே மிகச் சிறந்ததாகும், மேலும் இத்தகையோர் தாம் வெற்றியாளர்கள்.

So give your close relatives their due, and the needy, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek Allah’s pleasure, and it is they who will be successful.

Wama ataytum min riban liyarbuwa fee amwali alnnasi fala yarboo AAinda Allahi wama ataytum min zakatin tureedoona wajha Allahi faolaika humu almudAAifoona

And that which you give in gift (to others), in order that it may increase (your wealth by expecting to get a better one in return) from other people's property, has no increase with Allâh; but that which you give in Zakât (Sadaqah, charity, etc.) seeking Allâh's Countenance, then those they shall have manifold increase.

And whatever you give for interest to increase within the wealth of people will not increase with Allah. But what you give in zakah, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers.

(மற்ற) மனிதர்களுடைய பொருள்களுடன் சேர்ந்து (உங்கள் பொருளும்) அதிகப்படுவதற்காக வட்டிக்கு நீங்கள் கொடுக்கும் பொருள் அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் அதிகப்படுவதில்லை. எனினும், அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப்பொருத்தத்தை நாடி ஜகாத்தாக ஏதும் நீங்கள் கொடுத்தாலோ, கொடுத்தவர்கள் அதனை இரட்டிப்பாக்கிக் கொள்கின்றனர்.

(மற்ற) மனிதர்களுடைய முதல்களுடன் சேர்ந்து (உங்கள் செல்வம்) பெருகும் பொருட்டு நீங்கள் வட்டிக்கு விடுவீர்களானால், அது அல்லாஹ்விடம் பெருகுவதில்லை; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப்பொருத்தத்தை நாடி ஜகாத்தாக எதை நீங்கள் கொடுக்கிறீர்களோ, (அது அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் பெருகும். அவ்வாறு கொடுப்போர் தாம் (தம் நற்கூலியை) இரட்டிப்பாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களாவார்கள்.

(மற்ற) மனிதர்களுடைய பொருட்களில் (சேர்ந்து உங்கள் பொருள்களும்) பெருகி (வளர்ந்து) விடுவதற்காக வட்டிக்கு நீங்கள் கொடுக்கிறீர்களே அது அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் (பெருகி) வளர்வதில்லை, அன்றியும், அல்லாஹ்வின் (சங்கையான) முகத்தை நாடியவர்களுக்கு ஜகாத்திலிருந்து எதை நீங்கள் கொடுக்கின்றீர்களோ, (அது அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் பெருகி வளரும்.) இத்தகையோர்தாம் (தம் கூலியை) இரட்டிப்பாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களாவர்.

Whatever you lend in usury in order to gain more at the expense of people’s wealth, it will not increase [in reward] with Allah. But whatever you give as charity, seeking Allah’s pleasure – it is they who will have multiple reward.

Allahu allathee khalaqakum thumma razaqakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum hal min shurakaikum man yafAAalu min thalikum min shayin subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

Allâh is He Who created you, then provided food for you, then will cause you to die, then (again) He will give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Is there any of your (so-called) partners (of Allâh) that do anything of that? Glorified and Exalted is He above all that (evil) they associate (with Him).

Allah is the one who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, and then will give you life. Are there any of your "partners" who does anything of that? Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களை படைத்தவன். உங்களுக்கு உணவு கொடுப்பவனும் அவனே. பின்னர், அவனே உங்களை மரணிக்கச் செய்கிறான். அதன் பின்னர் அவனே உங்களை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான். இவற்றில் எதையும் செய்யக்கூடிய சக்தி உங்கள் தெய்வங்களில் எதற்கும் உண்டோ? இவர்கள் செய்யும் (இத்தகைய) இணைகளிலிருந்து அல்லாஹ் மிக்க உயர்ந்தவன்; பரிசுத்தமானவன்.

அல்லாஹ்தான் உங்களைப் படைத்தான்; பின் உங்களுக்கு உணவு வசதிகளை அளித்தான்; அவனே பின்னர் உங்களை மரிக்கச் செய்கிறான். பிறகு அவனே உங்களை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான் -இவற்றில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றைச் செய்யக் கூடியதாக உங்கள் இணை தெய்வங்கள் இருக்கிறதா? அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தூயவன்; அவர்கள் இணை வைப்பதை விட்டும் மிகவும் உயர்ந்தவன்.  

அல்லாஹ் எத்தகையவனென்றால், அவன் உங்களைப் படைத்தான், பின்னர் அவன் உங்களுக்கு வாழ்வாதாரங்களைக் கொடுத்தான், பின்னர் அவன் உங்களை மரணிக்கச் செய்வான், பிறகு அவன் உங்களை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான், அவற்றில் எதையேனும் ஒன்றைச் செய்பவர்கள் உங்கள் இணையாளர்களில் (எவரேனும்) உண்டா? அவன் தூயவன், அவர்கள் இணைவைப்பதைவிட்டும் அவனே மிகவும் உயர்ந்தவன்.

It is Allah Who created you, then gave you provision, then He will cause you to die, and then will bring you back to life. Is there anyone of your [so-called] partners who can do anything of this? Glorified and Exalted is He far above what they associate with Him!

Thahara alfasadu fee albarri waalbahri bima kasabat aydee alnnasi liyutheeqahum baAAda allathee AAamiloo laAAallahum yarjiAAoona

Evil (sins and disobedience to Allâh) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds), that He (Allâh) may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return (by repenting to Allâh, and begging His Pardon).

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].

மனிதர்களின் கைகள் தேடிக்கொண்டதன் காரணமாகக் கடலிலும் தரையிலும் அழிவு வேலைகள் (அதிகமாகப்) பரவி விட்டன. அதிலிருந்து அவர்கள் விலகிக் கொள்வதற்காக, அவர்களின் தீய செயல்களில் சிலவற்றின் தண்டனையை அவர்கள் (இம்மையிலும்) சுவைக்கும்படி அவன் செய்ய வேண்டியதாகிறது.

மனிதர்களில் கைகள் தேடிக்கொண்ட (தீச் செயல்களின்) காரணத்தால் கடலிலும் தரையிலும் (நாசமும்) குழப்பமும் தோன்றின; (தீமைகளிலிருந்து) அவர்கள் திரும்பிவிடும் பொருட்டு அவர்கள் செய்தார்களே (தீவினைகள்) அவற்றில் சிலவற்றை (இவ்வுலகிலும்) அவர்கள் சுவைக்கும்படி அவன் செய்கிறான்.

மனிதர்களின் கைகள் சம்பாதித்த (தீய)வற்றின் காரணமாகக் கரையிலும், கடலிலும் (அழிவு_) குழப்பம் வெளிப்பட்டுவிட்டதும், அவர்கள் செய்த (தீய)வற்றில் சிலவற்றை அவர்களுக்கு அவன் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்வதற்காக (இவ்வாறு சோதிக்கிறான், அதன் மூலம்) அவர்கள் (தவ்பாச் செய்து அவன் பால்) திரும்பிவிடலாம்.

Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what people’s hands have earned, so that He may cause them to taste the consequence of some of their deeds, so that they may return.

Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablu kana aktharuhum mushrikeena

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh)."

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah].

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: பூமியில் நீங்கள் சுற்றித் திரிந்து பாருங்கள். உங்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு என்னாயிற்று? முன்னிருந்தவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் இணைவைத்து வணங்குபவர்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

“பூமியில் நீங்கள் சுற்றித் திரிந்து (உங்களுக்கு) முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு என்ன ஆயிற்று என்பதை நீங்கள் கவனித்துப் பாருங்கள்? அவர்கள் பெரும்பாலோர் முஷ்ரிக்குகளாக (இணை வைப்பவர்களாக) இருந்தனர்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறும்.

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “பூமியில் நீங்கள் சுற்றித் திரிந்து (உங்களுக்கு) முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படி இருந்தது? என்பதைப் பாருங்கள், (முன்னிருந்த) அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர், இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்போராகவே இருந்தனர்.”

Say, “Travel through the land and see how was the end of those who came before – most of them associated partners with Allah.”

Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni alqayyimi min qabli an yatiya yawmun la maradda lahu mina Allahi yawmaithin yassaddaAAoona

So, set you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) your face (in obedience to Allâh, your Lord) to the straight and right religion (Islâmic Monotheism), before there comes from Allâh a Day which none can avert. On that Day men shall be divided [(in two groups), a group in Paradise and a group in Hell].

So direct your face toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து தப்பித்துக் கொள்ள முடியாத ஒரு நாள் வருவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய முகத்தை நிலையான மார்க்கத்தளவில் திருப்பி விடுங்கள். அந்நாளில் (நல்லவர்களும், தீயவர்களும்) வெவ்வேறாகப் பிரிந்து விடுவார்கள்.

ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து எவரும் தடுத்து நிறுத்த முடியாத (அந்தத் தீர்ப்பு) நாள் வருவதற்கு முன், நீர் உம் முகத்தை நிலையான மார்க்கத்தில் சரிபடுத்துவீராக; அந்நாளில் அவர்கள் (நல்லோர், தீயோர் எனப்) பிரிந்து விடுவார்கள்.

ஆகவே (நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்விடமிருந்து அதை தடுத்து விட முடியாத ஒரு நாள் வருவதற்கு முன்னதாகவே நீர் உம்முடைய முகத்தை நிலையான மார்க்கத்தின் பக்கம் (திருப்பி) நிலை நிறுத்துவீராக! அந்நாளில் (நல்லோர் தீயோர் வெவ்வேறாகப்) பிரிந்துவிடுவார்கள்.

Adhere sincerely to the true religion before there comes a Day that cannot be averted from Allah. On that Day people will be divided.

Man kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu waman AAamila salihan falianfusihim yamhadoona

Whosoever disbelieves will suffer from his disbelief, and whosoever does righteous good deeds (by practising Islâmic Monotheism), then such will prepare a good place (in Paradise) for themselves (and will be saved by Allâh from His torment).

Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing,

எவன் நிராகரிப்பவனாக இருக்கிறானோ அவனுடைய நிராகரிப்பு அவனுக்கே கேடாக முடியும். எவர் நற்காரியங்களைச் செய்கின்றாரோ அவர் (அதனை மறுமையில்) தனக்கு நன்மையாகவே அமைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்.

எவன் நிராகரிக்கின்றானோ அவனுக்கே அவனது நிராகரிப்பு கேடாகும். எவர் ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்களைச் செய்கின்றாரோ அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கே நன்மையைச் சித்தப்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

எவர் (அல்லாஹ்வை) நிராகரித்தாரோ அவருடைய நிராகரிப்பு அவர் மீதே (கேடாக) இருக்கும் எவர் நற்காரியங்களைச் செய்தாரோ, அவர்கள் (அதன் மூலம் மறுமையில்) தங்களுக்கே (அருட்கொடைகளின் நன்மைகளை) அமைத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

Whoever disbelieves will bear [the burden of] his disbelief, and whoever does righteous deeds, they are preparing for themselves [a place in Paradise],

Liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati min fadlihi innahu la yuhibbu alkafireena

That He may reward those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, out of His bounty. Verily, He likes not the disbelievers.

That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்கள் செய்தவர்களுக்கே அவன் (அல்லாஹ்) தன் அருளைக் கூலியாகக் கொடுக்கிறான். ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அவன் நிராகரிப்பவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.

ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்தவர்களுக்கே அவன் தன் அருளிலிருந்து (நற்) கூலி கொடுக்கிறான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் காஃபிர்களை நேசிக்கமாட்டான்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்தோருக்கு (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் தன் பேரருளிலிருந்து கொடுப்பதற்காக (அவர்கள் அந்நாளில் பிரிந்துவிடுவார்கள்) நிச்சயமாக அவன் நிராகரிப்போரை நேசிக்கமாட்டான்.

so that He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds out of His grace. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

Wamin ayatihi an yursila alrriyaha mubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihi walitajriya alfulku biamrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona

And among His Signs is that He sends the winds as glad tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy (i.e. rain), and that the ships may sail at His Command, and that you may seek of His bounty, in order that you may be thankful.

And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful.

(மழைக்கு முன்னர் குளிர்ந்த) காற்றை நற்செய்தியாக அவன் அனுப்பி வைப்பதும் அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் ஒன்றே. (அதைக் கொண்டு) அவன் தன் அருளை (மழையை) நீங்கள் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்து, கப்பல்களையும் அவன் தன் கட்டளையைக் கொண்டே செல்லும்படிச் செய்கிறான். அதனால் (பல தீவுகளில் உள்ள) அவனுடைய அருளை நீங்கள் தேடிக்கொள்கிறீர்கள். (இவைகளுக்காக) நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவீர்களாக!

இன்னும் நீங்கள் அவன் ரஹ்மத்திலிருந்து சுவைப்பதற்காகவும், கப்பல் தன் உத்தரவினால் (கடலில்) செல்வதற்காகவும், தன் அருளை நீங்கள் தேடிக் கொள்வதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவதற்காகவும் (இவற்றுக்கெல்லாமாக) நன்மாராயங் கூறிக்கொண்டு வருபவையாகக் காற்றுகளை அனுப்புகிறானே அதுவும் அவன் அத்தாட்சிகளிலுள்ளதாகும்.

(மழையைக்கொண்டு) நற்செய்தி கூறுபவைகளாக காற்றுகளை அவன் அனுப்புவது அவனுடைய அத்தாட்சிகளில் உள்ளவையாகும், அவனுடைய அருளிலிருந்து உங்களை சுவைக்கச் செய்வதற்காகவும், அவன் கட்டளையைக் கொண்டு கப்பல்கள் (கடலில்) செல்வதற்காகவும் (அவற்றின் மூலம் பிராயணம் செய்து) அவனின் பேரருளை நீங்கள் தேடிக் கொள்வதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவதற்க்காகவும் (அவன் காற்றுகளை நன்மாராயமாக அனுப்புகிறான்).

Among His signs is that He sends the winds as harbingers [of rain], so that He may give you a taste of His mercy, and that the ships may sail by His command, and that you may seek His bounty, and so that you may be grateful.

Walaqad arsalna min qablika rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati faintaqamna mina allatheena ajramoo wakana haqqan AAalayna nasru almumineena

And indeed We did send Messengers before you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) to their own peoples. They came to them with clear proofs, then, We took vengeance on those who committed crimes (disbelief, setting partners in worship with Allâh, sins); and (as for) the believers, it was incumbent upon Us to help (them).

And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களுக்கு முன்னரும் பல தூதர்களை அந்தந்த மக்களிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அவர்களும் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளையே அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்தனர். (எனினும், அவற்றை அவர்கள் நிராகரித்து விட்டனர்.) ஆகவே, (அவற்றை நிராகரித்த) குற்றவாளிகளை நாம் பழிவாங்கினோம். (ஏனென்றால் இவ்வாறு பழிவாங்கி) நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வது நம்மீது கடமையாகிவிட்டது.

மேலும், நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு முன்னால் தூதர்களை அவர்களுடைய சமூகத்தினரிடம் அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம், அவர்களும் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளுடன் அவர்களிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்; பிறகு (அத்தூதர்களை பொய்ப்பிக்க முற்பட்ட) குற்றவாளிகளிடம் பழி வாங்கினோம் - மேலும் முஃமின்களுக்கு உதவி புரிதல் நம் கடமையாகும்.

மேலும் (நபியே!) திட்டமாக நாம் உமக்கு முன்னர் அநேக தூதர்களை அவர்களுடைய சமூத்தார்களிடம் அனுப்பிவைத்தோம், அவர்களும் தெளிவானவை(களான அத்தாட்சி)களை அவர்களிடம் கொண்டுவந்தனர், (எனினும், அவற்றை அவர்கள் நிராகரித்து குற்றமிழைத்தனர்.) ஆகவே, குற்றமிழைத்தோரை நாம் தண்டித்தோம், விசுவாசிகளுக்கு உதவி செய்வதும் நம்மீது கடமையாக இருந்தது.

Indeed, We sent before you messengers to their people, and they came to them with clear signs. Then We took vengeance on those who persisted in wickedness, for it is incumbent upon Us to help the believers.

Allahu allathee yursilu alrriyaha fatutheeru sahaban fayabsutuhu fee alssamai kayfa yashao wayajAAaluhu kisafan fatara alwadqa yakhruju min khilalihi faitha asaba bihi man yashao min AAibadihi itha hum yastabshiroona

Allâh is He Who sends the winds, so that they raise clouds and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He wills, lo, they rejoice!

It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice

அல்லாஹ்தான் காற்றை அனுப்பி வைக்கிறான். அது மேகத்தை ஓட்டுகின்றது. அவன் விரும்பியவாறு அதனை வானத்தில் திட்டுத் திட்டாகப் பரப்பிவிடுகிறான். அதிலிருந்து மழை பொழிவதை (நபியே!) நீங்கள் காண்கிறீர்கள். தன் அடியார்களில் அவன் விரும்பியவர்களை அம்மழை வந்தடையும் பட்சத்தில் அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகின்றனர்.

அல்லாஹ்தான், காற்றுகளை அனுப்பி, (அவற்றால்) மேகத்தை ஓட்டி, பிறகு அதைத் தான் நாடியபடி, வானத்தில் பரத்தி, பல துண்டங்களாகவும் ஆக்கி விடுகிறான்; அதன் மத்தியிலிருந்து மழை வெளியாவதை நீர் பார்க்கிறீர்; பிறகு, அவன் அதைத் தன் அடியார்களில், தான் நாடியவர் மீது வந்தடையச் செய்யும் போது, அவர்கள் மகிழ்வடைகிறார்கள்.

அல்லாஹ் எத்தகையவனென்றால் _ அவன் காற்றுகளை அனுப்பிவைக்கிறான். பின்னர், அவை மேகங்களை ஓட்டுகின்றன, பிறகு தான் நாடியவாறு அதனை வானத்தில் பரத்துகிறான், அதைப் பல துண்டுகளாகவும் அவன் ஆக்கிவிடுகிறான், பின்னர், அதன் மத்தியிலிருந்து மழை வெளிவருவதை நீர் காண்பீர், பிறகு தன் அடியார்களில் தான் நாடியவருக்கு அதை வந்தடையும்படி அவன் செய்துவிட்டால் அப்போது அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகின்றனர்.

It is Allah Who sends the winds that stir up clouds, then He spreads them in the sky as He wills, and He splits them into different fragments, then you see the rain pouring down from their midst. Then as soon as He makes it fall upon whoever He wills of His slaves, they rejoice,

Wain kanoo min qabli an yunazzala AAalayhim min qablihi lamubliseena

And verily, before that (rain) – just before it was sent down upon them – they were in despair!

Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair.

அதற்கு முன்னர் அவர்கள் தங்கள் மீது மழை பொழியும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையை முற்றிலும் இழந்தவர்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

எனினும், அவர்கள் மீது அ(ம் மழையான)து இறங்குவதற்கு முன்னரும் - அதற்கு முன்னரும் - (மழையின்மையால்) அவர்கள் முற்றிலும் நிராசைப்பட்டிருந்தனர்.

அவர்கள்மீது அ(ம்மழையான)து இறக்கப்படுவதற்கு முன்னர் _ (மழையின்மையால்) அதற்கு முன்னரும்_அவர்கள் நிராசையுடையோராய் இருந்தார்கள்.

although they had lost all hope before it was sent down to them.

Faonthur ila athari rahmati Allahi kayfa yuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha inna thalika lamuhyee almawta wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Look then at the effects (results) of Allâh's Mercy, how He revives the earth after its death. Verily, that (Allâh) (Who revived the earth after its death) shall indeed raise the dead (on the Day of Resurrection), and He is Able to do all things.

So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வின் இவ்வருளால் ஏற்படும் பலன்களை நீங்கள் கவனியுங்கள்! இறந்துபோன பூமியை எவ்வாறு செழிக்கச் செய்கிறான்! (இவ்வாறே) நிச்சயமாக அவன் இறந்தவர்களையும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கச் செய்வான். அவன் அனைத்தின் மீதும் ஆற்றல் உடையவன்.

(நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய ரஹ்மத்தின் (இத்தகைய) அத்தாட்சிகளைச் சிந்தித்துப் பார்ப்பீராக! (வரண்டு) மரித்த பிறகு பூமியை அவன் எவ்வாறு உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறான்? (இவ்வாறே) மரித்தவர்களையும் அவன் நிச்சயமாக உயிர்ப்பிபவனாக இருக்கிறான்; மேலும் அவன் எல்லாப் பொருட்கள் மீதும் பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அருளின், அடையாளங்(களான பலன்)கள்பால் நீர் கவனிப்பீராக! பூமியை, அது இறந்த(தாகி வறண்ட) பின் எவ்வாறு (செழிக்கச் செய்து) அவன் உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான், நிச்சயமாக இறந்தோரையும் அவன் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறவன், மேலும், அவன் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

See then the effects of Allah’s mercy, how He revives the earth after its death. Indeed, it is He Who will raise the dead, and He is Most Capable of all things.

Walain arsalna reehan faraawhu musfarran lathalloo min baAAdihi yakfuroona

And if We send a wind [which would spoil the green growth (tilth) brought up by the previous rain], and they see (their tilth) turn yellow – behold, they then (after their being glad) would become unthankful (to their Lord Allâh as) disbelievers. (Tafsir At-Tabari)

But if We should send a [bad] wind and they saw [their crops] turned yellow, they would remain thereafter disbelievers.

(மழையில்லாத வெறும் வறண்ட) காற்றை நாம் அனுப்பி (அதனால் தங்களுடைய பயிர்கள்) மஞ்சளாயிருப்பதை அவர்கள் கண்டால், முன்னர் நாம் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்திருந்த நன்றியையுமே அவர்கள் நிராகரித்து விடுகின்றனர்.

ஆனால் (வரண்ட) ஒரு காற்றை நாம் அனுப்பி அத(ன் காரணத்தி)னால் (பயிர்கள் உலர்ந்து) மஞ்சள் நிறமாவதை அவர்கள் பார்த்தால், அதன் பின், (முன்னர் நன்மழை அனுப்பியதற்கு நன்றி மறந்து) நிராகரிப்போராகவே இருந்து விடுகின்றனர்.

மேலும், (வறண்ட) ஒரு காற்றை நாம் அனுப்பி, அ(தைக்கொண்டு பயிரான)தை மஞ்சணித்திருப்பதாக அவர்கள் கண்டால், அதன் பின்னர் (நன்றியை மறந்து) நிராகரிப்போராகவே இருந்துவிடுகின்றனர்.

But if We send a [harmful] wind and they see [their crops] turning yellow, they become ungrateful thereafter.

Fainnaka la tusmiAAu almawta wala tusmiAAu alssumma aldduAAaa itha wallaw mudbireena

So verily, you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away.

So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating.

(நபியே!) இறந்தவர்களை செவியுறும்படிச் செய்ய நிச்சயமாக உங்களால் முடியாது. உங்களைப் புறக்கணித்துச் செல்லும் செவிடர்களுக்குச் சப்தத்தைக் கேட்கும்படிச் செய்யவும் உங்களால் முடியாது.

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) மரித்தவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாக நீர் கேட்கச் செய்ய முடியாது; (உம்முடைய அழைப்பைப்) புறக்கணித்துத் திரும்பி விடும் செவிடர்களையும் (உம்முடைய) அழைப்பை நிச்சயமாக நீர் கேட்கச் செய்ய முடியாது.

ஆகவே (நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நீர் இறந்தோரைச் செவியுறச் செய்யமாட்டீர், (உம்மால் முடியாது) இன்னும் செவிடர்களையும் அவர்கள் புறமுதுகிட்டவர்களாக புறக்கணித்து திரும்பிச் சென்றால் நீர் (உம்முடைய) அழைப்பை செவியுறச் செய்யமாட்டீர்.

You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs and walk away.

Wama anta bihadi alAAumyi AAan dalalatihim in tusmiAAu illa man yuminu biayatina fahum muslimoona

And you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) cannot guide the blind from their straying; you can make to hear only those who believe in Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and have submitted to Allâh in Islâm (as Muslims).

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allah].

குருடர்களையும், அவர்களை வழிகேட்டிலிருந்து நேரான வழியில் திருப்பிவிடவும் உங்களால் முடியாது. முற்றிலும் வழிப்பட்டவர்களாக நம்முடைய வசனங்களை நம்பிக்கை கொள்பவர்களைத் தவிர மற்ற எவரையும் (உங்களுடைய நல்லுபதேசங்களைக்) கேட்கும்படிச் செய்ய உங்களால் முடியாது.

இன்னும், குருடர்களையும், அவர்களுடைய வழிகேட்டிலிருந்து நேர்வழியில் திருப்புபவராகவும் நீர் இல்லை; முற்றிலும் வழிபட்டவர்களாக, நம்முடைய வசனங்களின் மீது ஈமான் கொள்பவர்களைத் தவிர (மற்றெவரையும் உம் அழைப்பைக்) கேட்கச் செய்ய முடியாது.  

இன்னும் குருடர்களை_அவர்களுடைய வழிகேட்டை விட்டும் (திருப்பி) நேர் வழியில் செலுத்துபவராகவும் நீர் இல்லை, நம்முடைய வசனங்களை விசுவாசங்கொள்பவர்களாக தவிர, (மற்றெவரையும்) நீர் செவியுறச் செய்யமாட்டீர், (விசுவாசித்த) அவர்கள் முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்தவர்கள்.

Nor can you guide the blind out of their misguidance. You cannot make anyone hear except those who believe in Our verses, for they are ready to submit [to Allah].

Allahu allathee khalaqakum min daAAfin thumma jaAAala min baAAdi daAAfin quwwatan thumma jaAAala min baAAdi quwwatin daAAfan washaybatan yakhluqu ma yashao wahuwa alAAaleemu alqadeeru

Allâh is He Who created you in (a state of) weakness, then gave you strength after weakness, then after strength gave (you) weakness and gray hair. He creates what He wills. And it is He Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful (i.e. Able to do all things).

Allah is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent.

அல்லாஹ் உங்களை (ஆரம்பத்தில்) பலவீனமான நிலைமையில் உற்பத்தி செய்கிறான். அந்தப் பலவீனத்திற்குப் பின்னர் அவனே (வாலிப) பலத்தையும் கொடுக்கிறான். அந்த பலத்திற்குப் பின்னர் வயோதிகத்தையும், பலவீனத்தையும் கொடுக்கிறான். (இவ்வாறெல்லாம்) அவன், தான் விரும்பியவாறு உங்களை ஆக்குகிறான். அவன் (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அல்லாஹ் தான் உங்களை (ஆரம்பத்தில்) பலஹீனமான நிலையில் படைக்கிறான்; பலஹீனத்திற்குப் பின்னர், அவனே பலத்தை(யும் உங்களுக்கு)உண்டாக்குகிறான்; (அந்தப்) பலத்திற்குப் பின், பஹீனத்தையும் நரையையும் அவனே உண்டாக்குகிறான்; தான் நாடியதை அவன் படைக்கிறான் - அவனே எல்லாம் அறிந்தவன் பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

அல்லாஹ் _ எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களை (ஆரம்பத்தில்) பலவீனத்திலிருந்து அவன் படைத்தான்; பின்னர் பலவீனத்திற்க்குப் பிறகு (உங்களுக்கு) பலத்தையும் உண்டாக்கினான்; அப்பால் (அப்)பலத்திற்குப் பின்னர் (முதுமையின்) பலவீனத்தையும், முதுமைப் பருவத்தையும் ஆக்கினான்; தான் நாடியதைப் படைக்கிறான்; மேலும், அவனே (யாவையும்) நன்கறிந்தோன், மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையோன்.

It is Allah Who created you in a state of weakness, then after weakness He gave you strength, then after strength He made you weak and old. He creates what He wills, and He is the All-Knowing, the Most Capable.

Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yuqsimu almujrimoona ma labithoo ghayra saAAatin kathalika kanoo yufakoona

And on the Day that the Hour will be established, the Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) will swear that they stayed not but an hour – thus were they ever deluded [away from the truth (i.e. they used to tell lies and take false oaths, and turn away from the truth) in this life of the world].

And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will swear they had remained but an hour. Thus they were deluded.

மறுமை நாளில் குற்றவாளிகள் தாங்கள் (இவ்வுலகில்) ஒரு நாழிகையைத் தவிர (அதிகமாக) இருக்கவில்லை என்று சத்தியம் செய்வார்கள். இவ்வாறே (இவ்வுலகத்திலும்) அவர்கள் பொய்யையே பிதற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

அன்றியும், (நியாயத் தீர்ப்புக்குரிய) நாழிகை வரும் அந்நாளில் குற்றவாளிகள் தாங்கள் (இவ்வுலகில்) ஒரு நாழிகையே அன்றி (அதிக நேரம்) தங்கி இருக்க வில்லை என்று பிரமாணம் செய்வார்கள்; இவ்வாறு (இவ்வுலகிலும் உண்மையிலிருந்து) அவர்கள் திருப்பப்படுபவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

மேலும், மறுமைநாள் நிலைபெறும் நாளில் குற்றவாளிகள் (இவ்வுலகில்) கொஞ்ச நேரமே தவிர தாங்கள் தங்கியிருக்கவில்லை என்று சத்தியம் செய்வார்கள். இவ்வாறே (இவ்வுலகத்தில் உண்மையைவிட்டும்) திருப்பப்படுபவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

On the Day when the Hour begins, the wicked will swear that they had not stayed [in this world] more than an hour. This is how they were deluded [from the truth].

Waqala allatheena ootoo alAAilma waaleemana laqad labithtum fee kitabi Allahi ila yawmi albaAAthi fahatha yawmu albaAAthi walakinnakum kuntum la taAAlamoona

And those who have been bestowed with knowledge and Faith will say: "Indeed you have stayed according to the Decree of Allâh, until the Day of Resurrection; so this is the Day of Resurrection, but you knew not."

But those who were given knowledge and faith will say, "You remained the extent of Allah 's decree until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not used to know."

எனினும், கல்வியறிவும் நம்பிக்கையும் கொடுக்கப் பட்டவர்கள் (அதனை மறுத்து) "அல்லாஹ் எழுதியவாறு நீங்கள் உயிர் பெற்றெழும் இந்நாள் வரையில் (பூமியில்) இருந்தீர்கள். இது (மரணித்தவர்கள்) உயிர் பெற்றெழும் நாள். நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் இதனை உறுதி கொள்ளாதவர்களாகவே இருந்தீர்கள்" என்றும்,

ஆனால் எவர்களுக்கு இல்மும் (கல்வியும்) ஈமானும் (நம்பிக்கையும்) கொடுக்கப்பட்டதோ அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்: “அல்லாஹ்வின் (குறிப்பு) ஏட்டில் உள்ளபடி நீங்கள் உயிர் பெற்றெழும் (இந்) நாள்வரையில் (பூமியில்) தங்கியிருந்தீர்கள்! (மரித்தோர்) உயிர் பெற்று எழும் நாள் இது; நீங்கள் நிச்சயமாக (இதனை) அறிந்து கொள்ளாதவர்களாகவே இருந்தீர்கள்.”

(மார்க்க) அறிவும், விசுவாசமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள், (அதனை மறுத்து) ”அல்லாஹ்வின் ஏட்டில் உள்ளவாறு நீங்கள் உயிர்ப்பெற்றெழும் (இந்)நாள் வரை திட்டமாகத் தங்கியிருந்தீர்கள், எனவே இது(தான்) எழுப்பப்படும் நாள், எனினும் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (இதனை) அறிந்து கொள்ளாதவர்களாகவே இருந்தீர்கள்” என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

As for those who were given knowledge and faith will say, “You did stay, according to Allah’s decree, till the Day of Resurrection. This is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know.”

Fayawmaithin la yanfaAAu allatheena thalamoo maAAthiratuhum wala hum yustaAAtaboona

So, on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail those who did wrong (by associating partners in worship with Allâh, and by denying the Day of Resurrection), nor will they be allowed (then) to return to seek Allâh's Pleasure (by having Islâmic Faith with righteous deeds and by giving up polytheism, sins and crimes with repentance).

So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].

"ஆனால், அந்நாளில் அநியாயம் செய்தவர்கள் கூறும் சாக்குப்போக்கு அவர்களுக்குப் பலனளிக்காது. அன்றி, அவர்கள் இறைவனைத் திருப்தி செய்து வைக்கவும் வழியிராது" என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.

ஆகவே, அந்நாளில், அநியாயம் செய்தவர்களுக்கு, அவர்கள் (கூறும்) புகழ்கள் ஒரு பயனும் தரா; அன்றி, அவர்கள் (அல்லாஹ்வைத்) திருப்தி செய்யவும் முடியாது.

ஆகவே அந்நாளில் அநியாயம் செய்தவர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் புகல்கள் பயனளிக்காது; (அவர்களின் இரட்சகனைத் திருப்திப்படுத்தும் எச்செயலையும் செய்ய) அவர்கள் சிரமப்படுத்தப் படவுமாட்டார்கள்.

On that Day, no excuse will benefit the wrongdoers, nor will they be allowed to make amends.

Walaqad darabna lilnnasi fee hatha alqurani min kulli mathalin walain jitahum biayatin layaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in antum illa mubtiloona

And indeed We have set forth for mankind, in this Qur'ân every kind of parable. But if you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) bring to them any sign or proof (as an evidence for the truth of your Prophethood), the disbelievers are sure to say (to the believers): "You follow nothing but falsehood and magic."

And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers."

மனிதர்களுக்கு (திருப்தி அளிப்பதற்காக) வேண்டிய உதாரணங்கள் அனைத்தையும் இந்தக் குர்ஆனில் நிச்சயமாக நாம் கூறியே இருக்கின்றோம். (இதனை அங்கீகரிக்காத அவர்கள் விரும்பும்) எந்த அத்தாட்சியை நீங்கள் அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்தபோதிலும் (நபியே! உங்களையும் உங்களுடன் இருப்பவர் களையும் நோக்கி) நீங்கள் பொய்யர்களேயன்றி வேறில்லை" என்று இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.

திடமாக இந்த குர்ஆனில் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பலவிதமான உவமானங்களையும் நாம் கூறியிருக்கிறோம்; ஆயினும் நீர் எந்த ஓர் அத்தாட்சியை அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்த போதிலும்: “நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் வீண் பொய்யர்களே அன்றி வேறில்லை” என்று நிராகரிப்போர் நிச்சயமாக கூறுவார்கள்.

மனிதர்களுக்கு வேண்டிய ஒவ்வொரு (விதமான) உதாரணத்தையும் இந்தக் குர் ஆனில் நிச்சயமாக நாம் கூறி இருக்கிறோம், மேலும், எந்த அத்தாட்சியை நீர் அவர்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்த போதிலும், (நபியே! உம்மையும், விசுவாசிகளையும் நோக்கி) ”நீங்கள் பொய்யர்களேயன்றி (வேறு) இல்லை” என்று நிராகரிப்போர் நிச்சயமாகக் கூறுவார்கள்.

We have presented in this Qur’an every kind of example for mankind. But no matter what sign you bring them, the disbelievers will surely say, “You follow nothing but falsehood.”

Kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala quloobi allatheena la yaAAlamoona

Thus does Allâh seal up the hearts of those who know not [the proofs and evidence of the Oneness of Allâh, i.e. those who try not to understand true facts that which you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) have brought to them].

Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know.

இவ்வாறே அறிவில்லாத இந்த மக்களின் உள்ளங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிட்டு விடுகிறான்.

அவ்வாறே, இந்த அறிவில்லாதவர்களின் இருதயங்களின் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிடுகிறான்.

இவ்வாறே அறியாதோரின் இதயங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிடுகிறான்.

This is how Allah seals the hearts of those who have no knowledge.

Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun wala yastakhiffannaka allatheena la yooqinoona

So be patient (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]). Verily, the Promise of Allâh is true; and let not those who have no certainty of Faith discourage you from conveying Allâh's Message (which you are obliged to convey).

So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And let them not disquiet you who are not certain [in faith].

ஆகவே, (நபியே!) நீங்கள் (சகித்துக்கொண்டு) பொறுமையுடன் இருங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி மெய்யானது. (ஆகவே, முடிவில் நபியே! நீங்கள்தான் வெற்றி பெறுவீர்கள்.) மறுமையை நம்பாத இவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக உங்களை இலேசாக எண்ணவேண்டாம்.

ஆயினும், (நபியே!) நீர் பொறுமையுடன் இருப்பீராக; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானதாகும்; ஆகவே, உறுதியான நம்பிக்கை இல்லாத இவர்கள் உம்மைக் கலக்கமடையச் செய்ய வேண்டாம்.

ஆகவே (நபியே!) நீர் பொறுமையாய் இருப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வாக்குறுதி உண்மையானதாகும்; (ஆகவே முடிவில் நீர் தான் மிகைப்பீர், மறுமையை) உறுதிகொள்ளாதோர் நிச்சயமாக உம்மை, இலேசாகக் கருதிவிட வேண்டாம்.

So be patient, for Allah’s promise is true, and do not let those who have no faith discourage you.
