23 - al-Mu'miniin (The Believers)

Qad aflaha almuminoona

Successful indeed are the believers.

Certainly will the believers have succeeded:

நம்பிக்கையாளர்கள் நிச்சயமாக வெற்றி அடைந்துவிட்டனர்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக வெற்றி பெற்று விட்டனர்.

விசுவாசிகள் திட்டமாக வெற்றியடைந்து விட்டனர்.

The believers have attained true success:

Allatheena hum fee salatihim khashiAAoona

Those who offer their Salât (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness.

They who are during their prayer humbly submissive

அவர்கள் எத்தகையவரென்றால் மிக்க உள்ளச்சத்தோடு தொழுவார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையயோரென்றால், தங்கள் தொழுகையில் உள்ளச்சத்தோடு இருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தம் தொழுகையில் மிக்க உள்ளச்சம் உடையவர்கள்.

those who humble themselves in their prayers,

Waallatheena hum AAani allaghwi muAAridoona

And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allâh has forbidden).

And they who turn away from ill speech

அவர்கள் வீணான காரியங்களிலிருந்து விலகியிருப்பார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் வீணான (பேச்சு, செயல் ஆகிய)வற்றை விட்டு விலகியிருப்பார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், வீணானவற்றைப் புறக்கணித்து இருப்பவர்கள்.

and those who turn away from all that is vain,

Waallatheena hum lilzzakati faAAiloona

And those who pay the Zakât (obligatory charity).

And they who are observant of zakah

அவர்கள் ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வருவார்கள்.

ஜகாத்தையும் தவறாது கொடுத்து வருவார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், ஜகாத்தை (முறைப்படி) செய்துவிடுகிறவர்கள்.

and those who give zakah,

Waallatheena hum lifuroojihim hafithoona

And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts)

And they who guard their private parts

அவர்கள் தங்கள் மர்மஸ்தானத்தை (விபசாரத்திலிருந்து) காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்வார்கள்.

மேலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய வெட்கத் தலங்களைக் காத்துக் கொள்வார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்கள் வெட்கத்தலங்களை (விபச்சாரத்திலிருந்து) பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்கிறவர்கள்.

and those who guard their sexual desires,

Illa AAala azwajihim aw ma malakat aymanuhum fainnahum ghayru maloomeena

Except from their wives or (the slaves) that their right hands possess, – for then, they are free from blame;

Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed -

எனினும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் மனைவிகளிடமோ அல்லது தங்கள் வலதுகரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்ட (அடிமைப்) பெண்களிடமோ (சேர்வதில்) நிச்சயமாக (அவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளாக மாட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, இவ்விஷயத்தில்) அவர்கள் நிந்திக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

ஆனால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் மனைவிகளிடமோ அல்லது தங்கள் வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்களிடமோ தவிர - (இவர்களிடம் உறவு கொள்வது கொண்டும்) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பழிக்கப்படமாட்டார்கள்.

(ஆனால்,) தங்கள் மனைவியரிடமோ, அல்லது தங்கள் வலக்கரம் சொந்தமாக்கிக் கொண்டவர்(களான அடிமைப்பெண்)களிடமோ தவிர (இவர்களோடுள்ள உறவில்) நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நிந்திக்கப்படுபவர்களல்லர்.

except with their wives or slave women they may own, for then they are free of blame.

Famani ibtagha waraa thalika faolaika humu alAAadoona

But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors;

But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors -

இதற்குப் புறம்பானதை எவரேனும் விரும்பினால் அவர்கள் வரம்பு மீறியவர்களாகி (குற்றவாளியுமாகி) விடுவார்கள்.

ஆனால், இதற்கு அப்பால் (வேறு வழிகளை) எவர் நாடுகிறாரோ அ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் தாம் வரம்பு மீறியவர்களாவார்கள்.

ஆகவே, எவர்கள் இதனைத்தவிர (வேறு தவறான வழிகளைத்) தேடுகிறார்களோ அப்போது அவர்கள் தாம் வரம்பு மீறியவர்கள்.

But whoever seeks anything beyond that, it is they who are the transgressors.

Waallatheena hum liamanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona

Those who are faithfully true to their Amanât (all the duties which Allâh has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts) and to their covenants;

And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive

அன்றி, அவர்கள் (தங்களிடம் நம்பி ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட) அமானிதப் பொருளையும், தங்களுடைய வாக்குறுதியையும் பேணி(க் காத்து) நடந்து,

இன்னும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் (இடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்ட) அமானிதப் பொருட்களையும், தங்கள் வாக்குறுதிகளையும் காப்பாற்றுவார்கள்.

இன்னும், அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்களுடைய அமானிதங்களையும், தங்களுடைய வாக்குறுதியையும் (பேணிக்) காப்பாற்றுகிறவர்கள்.

And those who are faithful to their trusts and pledges,

Waallatheena hum AAala salawatihim yuhafithoona

And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawât (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours).

And they who carefully maintain their prayers -

தங்கள் தொழுகைகளையும் (காலாகாலத்தில் தவறாது) கடைப்பிடித்து தொழுது வருவார்கள்.

மேலும் அவர்கள் தம் தொழுகைகளை(க் குறித்த காலத்தில் முறையோடு) பேணுவார்கள்.

இன்னும் அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், தங்கள் தொழுகைகளைப் பேணுவார்கள்.

and those who properly observe their prayers.

Olaika humu alwarithoona

These are indeed the inheritors

Those are the inheritors

இத்தகையவர்தாம் (சுவனபதிக்கு) உண்மையான வாரிசுதாரர்கள்.

இத்தகையோர் தாம் (சுவர்க்கத்தின்) வாரிசுதாரர்கள்.

இத்தகையோர்தாம் (சுவர்க்கத்தை) அனந்தரம் கொள்பவர்கள்.

Such will be the inheritors,

Allatheena yarithoona alfirdawsa hum feeha khalidoona

Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever.

Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally.

ஆகவே, இவர்கள் "ஃபிர்தவ்ஸ்" என்னும் சுவனபதியை அனந்தரமாகக் கொண்டு அதில் என்றென்றும் தங்கிவிடுவார்கள்.

இவர்கள் ஃபிர்தவ்ஸ் (என்னும் சுவனபதியை) அனந்தரங் கொண்டு அதில் இவர்கள் என்றென்றும் தங்கியிருப்பார்கள்.

இவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் ‘ஃபிர்தௌஸ்’ (என்னும் சுவனபதியை) அனந்தரமாகக் கொள்வார்கள், அவர்கள் அதில் நிரந்தரமாக(த்தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்.

who will inherit Paradise; they will abide therein forever.

Walaqad khalaqna alinsana min sulalatin min teenin

And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).

And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.

நிச்சயமாக (ஆரம்பத்தில் முதல்) மனிதரை களிமண்ணின் மூலச் சத்திலிருந்து படைத்தோம்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் (ஆதி) மனிதரைக் களி மண்ணிலிருந்துள்ள சத்தினால் படைத்தோம்.

நிச்சயமாக (முதல்) மனிதனைக் களிமண்ணின் மூலச்சத்திலிருந்து படைத்தோம்.

We created man from an extract of clay,

Thumma jaAAalnahu nutfatan fee qararin makeenin

Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).

Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging.

பின்னர், அதனை நாம் இந்திரியமாக்கி ஒரு பத்திரமான இடத்தில் வைத்தோம்.

பின்னர் நாம் (மனிதனைப் படைப்பதற்காக) அவனை ஒரு பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் இந்திரியத் துளியாக்கி வைத்தோம்.

பின்னர், (அதற்கென உள்ள) ஒரு பாதுகாப்பான இடத்தில் (கர்ப்பப்பையில்) நாம் அவனை இந்திரியத் துளியாக்கினோம்.

then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a safe place,

Thumma khalaqna alnnutfata AAalaqatan fakhalaqna alAAalaqata mudghatan fakhalaqna almudghata AAithaman fakasawna alAAithama lahman thumma anshanahu khalqan akhara fatabaraka Allahu ahsanu alkhaliqeena

Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So, Blessed is Allâh, the Best of creators.

Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.

பின்னர், அந்த இந்திரியத்தை கருவாக ஆக்கினோம். பின்னர், அக்கருவை சிறிய சதைத் துண்டாக ஆக்கினோம். பின்னர், அந்த சிறிய சதைத் துண்டில் எலும்புகளை உருவாக்கினோம், அடுத்து அவ்வெலும்புகளுக்கு மேல் சதையை அமைத்தோம். பின்னர், அதனை (முழுமையான மனிதப்) படைப்பாக உருவாக்கினோம். படைப்பவர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க அழகானவனான அந்த அல்லாஹ் மிக பாக்கியம் பொருந்தியவன்.

பின்னர் அந்த இந்திரியத் துளியை அலக் என்ற நிலையில் ஆக்கினோம்; பின்னர் அந்த அலக்கை ஒரு தசைப் பிண்டமாக்கினோம்; பின்னர் அத்தசைப்பிண்டத்தை எலும்புகளாகவும் ஆக்கினோம்; பின்னர், அவ்வெலும்புகளுக்கு மாமிசத்தை அணிவித்தோம்; பின்னர் நாம் அதனை வேறு ஒரு படைப்பாக (மனிதனாகச்) செய்தோம். (இவ்வாறு படைத்தவனான) அல்லாஹ் பெரும் பாக்கியமுடையவன் - (படைப்பாளர்களில் எல்லாம்) மிக அழகான படைப்பாளன்.

பின்னர், அந்த இந்திரியத்தை இரத்தக் கட்டியாகப் படைத்தோம், பின்னர் அவ்விரத்தக் கட்டியை மாமிசத்துண்டாகப் படைத்தோம், பின்னர் அம்மாமிசத்துண்டை எலும்புகளாகப் படைத்தோம், பின்னர் அவ்வெலும்புகளுக்கு மாமிசத்தை அணிவித்தோம், பின்னர், நாம் அதனை வேறு படைப்பாக (முழு மனிதனாக) உருவாக்கினோம், ஆகவே படைக்கிறவர்களில் மிக அழகானவனான (பெரும்பாக்கியங்களுக்குரிய) அல்லாஹ் உயர்வானவன்

then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, then We made the clinging clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, and We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We developed it into another creation. So Blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators.

Thumma innakum baAAda thalika lamayyitoona

After that, surely you will die.

Then indeed, after that you are to die.

(மனிதர்களே!) இதற்குப் பின்னர், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் இறப்பவர்களே!

பிறகு, நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் மரணிப்பவர்களாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

(மனிதர்களே!) பின்னர், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் இறப்பெய்தக் கூடியவர்கள்.

Then after that you will surely die,

Thumma innakum yawma alqiyamati tubAAathoona

Then (again), surely you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.

Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.

அதற்குப் பின்னர் மறுமைநாளில் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்பப்படுவீர்கள்.

பிறகு, கியாம நாளன்று, நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் எழுப்பப்படுவீர்கள்.

பின்னர், மறுமைநாளின்போது நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்பப்படுவீர்கள்.

then on the Day of Resurrection you will surely be resurrected.

Walaqad khalaqna fawqakum sabAAa taraiqa wama kunna AAani alkhalqi ghafileena

And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation.

And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware.

(மனிதர்களே! இவ்வாறு நாம் உங்களை மட்டுமா படைத்திருக்கிறோம்?) நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்கு மேலுள்ள ஏழு வானங்களையும் நாமே படைத்தோம். (அவை ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் உங்களைப் போன்ற எத்தனையோ படைப்புகள் இருக்கின்றன. இவைகளைப் படைத்து இருப்பதுடன்) இப்படைப்புக(ளுக்கு வேண்டியவைக)ளைப் பற்றி நாம் பராமுகமாகவும் இருக்கவில்லை. (அவைகளுக்கு வேண்டியவை அனைத்தையும் முழுமையாக நாம் படைத்தும் இருக்கிறோம்.)

அன்றியும், உங்களுக்கு மேலே ஏழு பாதைகளைத் திடனாக நாம் படைத்திருக்கிறோம் - (நமது) படைப்பைக் குறித்து நாம் எப்பொழுதுமே பராமுகமாக இருக்கவில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்கு மேலுள்ள ஏழு பாதைகளை (வானங்களை)யும் நாமே படைத்திருக்கிறோம், இப்படைப்புகளைப்பற்றி ஒருபோதும் நாம் பராமுகமானவர்களாகவும் இருக்கவில்லை.

We have created above you seven levels [of heaven], and We have never been unaware of Our creation.

Waanzalna mina alssamai maan biqadarin faaskannahu fee alardi wainna AAala thahabin bihi laqadiroona

And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.

And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away.

மேகத்திலிருந்து (நம்) திட்டப்படியே மழையை பொழியச் செய்கிறோம். அதனைப் பூமியில் தங்கும்படியும் செய்கின்றோம். அதனைப் (பூமியிலிருந்து) போக்கிவிடவும் நாம் ஆற்றல் பெற்றுள்ளோம்.

மேலும், வானத்திலிருந்து நாம் திட்டமான அளவில் (மழை) நீரை இறக்கி, அப்பால் அதனைப் பூமியில் தங்க வைக்கிறோம்; நிச்சயமாக அதனைப் போக்கிவிடவும் நாம் சக்தியுடையோம்.

வானத்திலிருந்து அளவோடு தண்ணீரை (மழையை) நாம் இறக்கி வைக்கிறோம், (அதன் பின்னர்) அதனைப் பூமியில் தங்குமாறு செய்கின்றோம், நிச்சயமாக அதனைப் (பூமிக்குள் இழுக்கப்பட்டு) போக்கிவைக்கவும் நாம் ஆற்றலுடையோர் (ஆவோம்.)

We send down water from the sky in due measure and cause it to stay in the earth, and We are surely able to take it away.

Faanshana lakum bihi jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin lakum feeha fawakihu katheeratun waminha takuloona

Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat.

And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat.

அதனைக் கொண்டு பேரீச்சை, திராட்சை (ஆகிய) தோப்புகளையும் உங்களுக்காக நாம் உற்பத்தி செய்கின்றோம். அவைகளில் உங்களுக்கு வேண்டிய பல கனி வர்க்கங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. அவைகளில் (பலவற்றை) நீங்கள் புசிக்கிறீர்கள்.

அதனைக் கொண்டு, நாம் உங்களுக்கு பேரீச்சை திராட்சை தோட்டங்களை உண்டாக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்; அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு ஏராளமான கனிவகைகள் இருக்கின்றன; அவற்றிலிருந்து நீங்கள் புசிக்கின்றீர்கள்.

பின்னர் அதனைக்கொண்டு பேரீச்சை, திராட்சைகள் (முதலிய) தோட்டங்களை உங்களுக்காக நாம் உற்பத்தி செய்திருக்கின்றோம், அவைகளில் உங்களுக்கு அநேகக் கனிகள் இருக்கின்றன, இன்னும் அவற்றிலிருந்தும் நீங்கள் உண்ணுகின்றீர்கள்.

With this [water] We produce for you gardens of palm trees and grapevines, in which there are many fruits from which you eat,

Washajaratan takhruju min toori saynaa tanbutu bialdduhni wasibghin lilakileena

And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows (produces) oil, and (it is a) Sibghin (relish) for the eaters.

And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat.

"தூர்ஸீனாய்" மலையில் முளைக்கின்ற (ஜைத்தூன் என்னும் ஒலிவ) மரத்தையும் (நாம் உற்பத்தி செய்கின்றோம்.) அது எண்ணையையும் புசிப்பவர்களுக்கு ஒரு சுவையையும் (குழம்பும்) தருகின்றது.

இன்னும் தூர் ஸினாய் மலைக்கருகே உற்பத்தியாகும் மரத்தையும் (உங்களுக்காக நாம் உண்டாக்கினோம்) அது எண்ணெயை உற்பத்தி செய்கிறது. மேலும் (ரொட்டி போன்றவற்றை) சாப்பிடுவோருக்கு தொட்டு சாப்பிடும் பொருளாகவும் (அது அமைந்துள்ளது).

தூர் ஸைனாவிலிருந்து (முளைத்து) வெளிப்படும் ஒரு மரத்தையும் (நாம் படைத்தோம்.) அது எண்ணையையும், புசிப்போருக்கு (சுவைமிக்க) குழம்பையும் கொண்டு முளைக்கிறது.

and [olive] tree that grows at Mount Sinai, producing oil and condiment for those who eat.

Wainna lakum fee alanAAami laAAibratan nusqeekum mimma fee butooniha walakum feeha manafiAAu katheeratun waminha takuloona

And verily, in the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat.

And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat.

நிச்சயமாக ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகியவைகளில் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு படிப்பினை இருக்கின்றது. அவற்றின் மடியில் இருந்து (பாலை) நாம் உங்களுக்குப் புகட்டுகிறோம். அன்றி, உங்களுக்கு அவைகளில் அநேக பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன. அவைகளில் சிலவற்றை நீங்கள் புசிக்கின்றீர்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்கு (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் முதலிய) பிராணிகளில் ஒரு படிப்பினை இருக்கிறது. அவற்றின் வயிறுகளிலிருந்து (சுரக்கும் பாலை) நாம் உங்களுக்கு புகட்டுகிறோம்; இன்னும் அவற்றில் உங்களுக்கு அநேக பயன்கள் இருக்கின்றன; அவற்றி(ன் மாமிசத்தி)லிருந்து நீங்கள் புசிக்கின்றீர்கள்.  

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகிய) கால்நடைகளில் உங்களுக்கொரு படிப்பினை இருக்கின்றது, அவற்றின் வயிறுகளில் உள்ளவற்றிலிருந்து (பாலை) நாம் உங்களுக்குப் புகட்டுகிறோம், அவைகளில் உங்களுக்கு அநேகப் பயன்களும் இருக்கின்றன, மேலும் அவற்றிலிருந்து நீங்கள் புசிக்கின்றீர்கள்.

And there is certainly a lesson for you in livestock animals. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies, and for you there are many benefits in them, and from their [meat] you eat,

WaAAalayha waAAala alfulki tuhmaloona

And on them and on ships you are carried.

And upon them and on ships you are carried.

அவற்றின் மீதும், கப்பல்களின் மீதும் நீங்கள் சுமந்து செல்லப்படுகின்றீர்கள்.

மேலும் அவற்றின் மீதும், கப்பல்களிலும் நீங்கள் சுமக்கப்படுகின்றீர்கள்.

அவற்றின் மீதும், கப்பல்களின் மீதும் நீங்கள் சுமந்து செல்லப்படுகின்றீர்கள்.

and on them and on boats you are carried.

Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona

And indeed We sent Nûh (Noah) to his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him (Islâmic Monotheism). Will you not then be afraid (of Him, i.e. of His punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"

And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"

நிச்சயமாக நாம் "நூஹ்" (நபியை) நம்முடைய தூதராக அவருடைய மக்களிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அவர் (அவர்களை நோக்கி) "என்னுடைய மக்களே! அல்லாஹ் ஒருவனையே நீங்கள் வணங்குங்கள். அவனைத் தவிர வேறு இறைவன் உங்களுக்கு இல்லவே இல்லை. அவனுக்கு நீங்கள் பயப்பட வேண்டாமா?" என்று கூறினார்.

இன்னும்: நிச்சயமாக, நாம் நூஹை அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினோம்; அப்போது அவர் (தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம்) “என் சமூகத்தவர்களே! நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை வணங்குங்கள் - அவனன்றி உங்களுக்கு (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை, நீங்கள் (அவனுக்கு) அஞ்ச வேண்டாமா?” என்று கூறினார்.

மேலும், நிச்சயமாக நாம் “நூஹை” நம்முடைய தூதராக அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரின்பால் அனுப்பிவைத்தோம், அவர் (அவர்களிடம்) “என்னுடைய சமூகத்தாரே! அல்லாஹ்வை நீங்கள் வணங்குங்கள், அவனைத் தவிர (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) வேறு நாயன் உங்களுக்கு இல்லை, (அவனுக்கு) நீங்கள் பயப்பட மாட்டீர்களா?” என்று கூறினார்.

We sent Noah to his people. He said, “O my people, worship Allah; you have no god other than Him. Will you not then fear Him?”

Faqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yureedu an yatafaddala AAalaykum walaw shaa Allahu laanzala malaikatan ma samiAAna bihatha fee abaina alawwaleena

But the chiefs of his people who disbelieved said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he seeks to make himself superior to you. Had Allâh willed, He surely could have sent down angels. Never did we hear such a thing among our fathers of old.

But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you; and if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers.

அவரை நிராகரித்துவிட்ட அவருடைய மக்களில் உள்ள தலைவர்கள் (தம்முடைய மக்களுக்கு நூஹ் நபியைச் சுட்டிக் காண்பித்து) இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை. எனினும், அவர் உங்கள் மீது மேலான பதவியை வகிக்கவே நாடுகிறார். (மெய்யாகவே) அல்லாஹ் (நம்மிடம் ஒரு தூதரை அனுப்ப) நாடியிருந்தால் மலக்குகளையே அனுப்பி வைத்திருப்பான். முன்னுள்ள எங்கள் மூதாதைகளிடம் இத்தகைய விஷயத்தை நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டதே இல்லை என்றும்,

ஆனால், அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரில் காஃபிர்களாய் இருந்த தலைவர்கள்: “இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை; இவர் உங்களை விட சிறப்புப் பெற விரும்புகிறார்; மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் அவன் மலக்குகளை(த் தூதர்களாக) அனுப்பியிருப்பான். முன்னிருந்த நம் மூதாதையரிடம் இ(த்தகைய விஷயத்)தை நாம் கேள்விப்பட்டதேயில்லை” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அப்போது (அவரை) நிராகரித்துவிட்ட அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரில் உள்ள தலைவர்கள் “இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை, (எனினும்) இவர், உங்கள் மீது சிறப்புப்பெற நாடுகிறார், மேலும், அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால் மலக்குகளைத் திட்டமாக இறக்கி வைத்திருப்பான், முன்னுள்ள நம் மூதாதையர்களிடம், இதனைப் பற்றி நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டதேயில்லை” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

The disbelieving chiefs of his people said, “This is only a man like yourselves who wants to be superior to you. If Allah had willed, He could have sent down angels. We have not heard such a thing from our forefathers.

In huwa illa rajulun bihi jinnatun fatarabbasoo bihi hatta heenin

"He is only a man in whom is madness, so wait for him a while."

He is not but a man possessed with madness, so wait concerning him for a time."

"இவர் ஒரு பைத்தியக்காரராகவே தவிர வேறில்லை. ஆகவே, (இவர் கூறுவதின் உண்மையை) சிறிது காலம் பொறுத்து இருந்து பாருங்கள்" என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.

“இவர் ஒரு பைத்தியக்கார மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை; எனவே இவருடன் நீங்கள் சிறிது காலம் பொறுத்திருந்து பாருங்கள்” (எனவும் கூறினர்).

“இவர் ஒரு பைத்தியக்கார மனிதரே தவிர வேறில்லை, ஆகவே சிறிது காலம்வரை இவரை எதிர்பார்த்திருங்கள் (என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.)

He is just a madman, so bear with him for a while.”

Qala rabbi onsurnee bima kaththabooni

[Nûh (Noah)] said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me."

[Noah] said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me."

(அதற்கு நூஹ் நபி) "என்னுடைய இறைவனே! இவர்கள் என்னைப் பொய்யாக்கி விட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, நீ எனக்கு உதவி செய்" என்று பிரார்த்தித்தார்.

“என் இறைவா! இவர்கள் என்னை பொய்ப்பிப்பதின் காரணமாக நீ எனக்கு உதவி புரிவாயாக!” என்று கூறினார்.

“என்னுடைய இரட்சகனே! என்னை இவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கியதன் காரணமாக நீ எனக்கு உதவி செய்வாயாக!” என்று (பிரார்த்தித்துக்) கூறினார்.

Noah said, “My Lord, help me, for they have rejected me.”

Faawhayna ilayhi ani isnaAAi alfulka biaAAyunina wawahyina faitha jaa amruna wafara alttannooru faosluk feeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illa man sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu minhum wala tukhatibnee fee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona

So, We revealed to him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and water gushes forth from the oven, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned.

So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned.

அதற்கு நாம் அவரை நோக்கி நீங்கள் "நாம் அறிவிக்கின்றபடி நம் கண்முன் ஒரு கப்பலைச் செய்யுங்கள். நம்முடைய உத்தரவு ஏற்பட்டு அடுப்புப்பொங்க ஆரம்பித்தால் (ஒவ்வொரு உயிர்ப் பிராணிகளிலும்) ஆண், பெண் இரண்டிரண்டு சேர்ந்த ஜோடியையும், உங்களுடைய குடும்பத்தினரையும் நீங்கள் அதில் ஏற்றிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். ஆயினும், எவன் மீது நம்முடைய தண்டனை விதிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டதோ அவனைத் தவிர. (ஏனென்றால்,) அநியாயம் செய்பவ(ர் உங்களது குடும்பத்தவராயினும் அவ)ரைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் என்னிடம் ஏதும் (சிபாரிசாகப்) பேசாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (வெள்ளப் பிரளயத்தில்) மூழ்கடிக்கப்பட்டு விடுவார்கள்" என்று வஹ்யி அறிவித்தோம்.

அதற்கு, “நீர் நம் கண் முன் நம்முடைய வஹீயறிவிப்பின்படியும் கப்பலைச் செய்வீராக! பிறகு நம்முடைய கட்டளை வந்து, அடுப்புக் கொதிக்கும் போது, ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் ஆண், பெண் இரண்டிரண்டு சேர்ந்த ஜதையையும், உம்முடைய குடும்பத்தினரில் எவர் மீது நம் (தண்டனை பற்றிய) வாக்கு ஏற்பட்டுவிட்டதோ அவரைத் தவிர, (மற்றவர்களையும்) அதில் ஏற்றிக் கொள்ளும்; இன்னும்: அநியாயம் செய்தார்களே அவர்களைப் பற்றி நீர் என்னிடம் பரிந்து பேச வேண்டாம் - நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் மூழ்கடிக்கப்படுவார்கள்” என்று அவருக்கு நாம் அறிவித்தோம்.

(அதற்கு) “நீர் நம் கண்களின் முன்பாகவும் நாம் அறிவிக்கின்ற பிரகாரமும் ஒரு கப்பலைச் செய்வீராக! நம்முடைய உத்தரவு வந்து அடுப்புக்கொதிக்க ஆரம்பித்தால், (ஒவ்வொரு ஜீவராசிகளிலும்) ஆண், பெண், இரண்டிரண்டு சேர்ந்த ஜோடிகளையும் உம்முடைய குடும்பத்தினரில், எவர் மீது நம்முடைய (தண்டனை பற்றிய) வாக்கு முந்திவிட்டதோ அவரைத் தவிர, மற்ற (உம்முடைய குடும்பத்த)வரையும் நீர் அதில் ஏற்றிக் கொள்வீராக! அநியாயம் செய்து விட்டார்களே அவர்களைப் பற்றி, நீர் என்னிடம் பேசாதீர், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் (பெரு வெள்ளத்தில்) மூழ்கடிக்கப்பட்டு விடுபவர்கள்” என்று அவருக்கு நாம் வஹீ அறிவித்தோம்.

So We inspired him [saying], “Make the Ark under Our Eyes and according to Our directions. Then when Our command comes and the oven bursts with water, take on board a pair of each species and your family, except those against whom the decree has already been passed. And do not plead with Me concerning those who have done wrong, for they will surely be drowned.”

Faitha istawayta anta waman maAAaka AAala alfulki faquli alhamdu lillahi allathee najjana mina alqawmi alththalimeena

And when you have embarked on the ship, you and whoever is with you, then say: "All praise and thanks are Allâh's, Who has saved us from the people who are Zâlimûn (i.e. oppressors, wrong doers, polytheists, those who join others in worship with Allâh)."

And when you have boarded the ship, you and those with you, then say, 'Praise to Allah who has saved us from the wrongdoing people.'

நீங்களும் உங்களுடன் உள்ளவர்களும் கப்பலில் ஏறி அமர்ந்து கொண்டதன் பின்னர் "அநியாயக்கார இந்த மக்களில் இருந்தும் எங்களை பாதுகாத்துக் கொண்ட அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே எல்லாப் புகழும்" என்று கூறுங்கள்.

“நீரும், உம்முடன் இருப்பவர்களும் கப்பலில் அமர்ந்ததும்: “அநியாயக்காரரான சமூகத்தாரை விட்டும் எங்களைக் காப்பாற்றிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே எல்லாப் புகழும்” என்று கூறுவீராக!

ஆகவே, நீரும், உம்முடன் உள்ளவர்களும் கப்பலில் ஏறி அமர்ந்துவிட்டால் அப்போது “அநியாயக்கார சமூகத்தாரிடமிருந்து எங்களைக் காப்பாற்றிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே எல்லாப் புகழும்” என்று கூறுவீராக! (என்றும்)

Then when you and those who are with you have embarked on the Ark, say, “All praise is for Allah, Who saved us from the wrongdoing people.”

Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan waanta khayru almunzileena

And say: "My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing place, for You are the Best of those who bring to land."

And say, 'My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to accommodate [us].' "

அன்றி "என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மிக்க பாக்கியமுள்ளவனாக (பாக்கியம் பெற்ற இடத்தில் உன்) விருந்தாளியாக(க் கப்பலிலிருந்து) இறக்கி வைப்பாயாக! நீயோ விருந்தாளிகளை வரவேற்று உபசரிப்பதில் மிக்க மேலானவன் என்றும் பிரார்த்தியுங்கள்" (என்றும் கூறினோம்.)

மேலும் “இறைவனே! நீ மிகவும் பாக்கியம் உள்ள - இறங்கும் தலத்தில் என்னை இறக்கி வைப்பாயாக! நீயே (பத்திரமாக) இறக்கி வைப்பவர்களில் மிக்க மேலானவன்” என்று பிரார்த்திப்பீராக! (எனவும் அறிவித்தோம்).

“மேலும், என் இரட்சகனே! நீ என்னை மிக்க பாக்கியம் செய்யப்பட்ட இறங்கும் இடத்தில் இறக்கி வைப்பாயாக! நீயே இறக்கி வைப்பவர்களில் மிக்க மேலானவன் என்றும் (பிரார்த்தித்துக்) கூறுவீராக!” (என்றும் கூறினோம்.)

And say: “My Lord, make my landing a blessed landing, for You provide the best landing’”.

Inna fee thalika laayatin wain kunna lamubtaleena

Verily, in this [what We did as regards drowning of the people of Nûh (Noah)], there are indeed Ayât (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc. for men to understand), for sure We are ever putting (men) to the test.

Indeed in that are signs, and indeed, We are ever testing [Our servants].

(இவ்வாறு மனிதர்களின் நம்பிக்கையை) நாம் சோதித்தபோதிலும் நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

நிச்சயமாக இவற்றில் (பல) அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன; நாம் (இவ்வாறே மனிதர்களைச்) சோதிப்பவராக இருக்கின்றோம்.

(இவ்வாறு) நாம் சோதிப்பவர்களாக இருப்பினும் நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

Indeed, there are signs in this, and We always put people to test.

Thumma anshana min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena

Then, after them, We created another generation.

Then We produced after them a generation of others.

(வெள்ளப் பிரளயத்தில் மூழ்கிவிட்ட) இவர்களுக்குப் பின்னர் நாம் ("ஆது" என்னும்) மற்றொரு வகுப்பினரை உற்பத்தி செய்தோம்.

பின்னர், (பிரளயத்தில் மூழ்கிவிட்ட) இவர்களை அடுத்து வேறொரு தலைமுறையினரை உண்டாக்கினோம்.

அப்பால் (பெருவெள்ளத்தில் மூழ்கடிக்கப்பட்ட) இவர்களுக்குப் பின்னர், மற்றொரு தலைமுறையினரை நாம் உண்டாக்கினோம்.

Then We raised up after them another generation,

Faarsalna feehim rasoolan minhum ani oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona

And We sent to them a Messenger from among themselves (saying): "Worship Allâh! You have no other Ilâh (God) but Him. Will you not then be afraid (of Him, i.e. of His punishment because of worshipping others besides Him)?"

And We sent among them a messenger from themselves, [saying], "Worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"

அவர்களில் உள்ள ("ஹூது" என்ற) ஒருவரையே அவர்களுக்கு நம்முடைய தூதராக நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அவர் (அவர்களை நோக்கி) "அல்லாஹ் ஒருவனையே வணங்குங்கள். அவனைத் தவிர உங்களுக்கு வேறு இறைவன் இல்லவே இல்லை. அவனுக்கு நீங்கள் பயப்பட வேண்டாமா?" (என்று கூறினார்.)

அவர்களிலிருந்தே ஒரு தூதரையும் அவர்களிடையே நாம் அனுப்பினோம். “அல்லாஹ்வையே வணங்குங்கள்; அவனன்றி, உங்களுக்கு (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை; நீங்கள் (அவனுக்கு) அஞ்ச வேண்டாமா?” (என்றும் அவர் கூறினார்.)  

ஆகவே, அவர்களிலிருந்தே ஒரு தூதரை அவர்களிலே நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம், அவர் (அவர்களிடம்,) “அல்லாஹ்வை நீங்கள் வணங்குங்கள், அவனைத்தவிர உங்களுக்கு (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) வேறு நாயன் இல்லை, (அவனுக்கு) நீங்கள் பயப்படமாட்டீர்களா?” (என்று கூறினார்.)

and We sent to them a messenger from among themselves [saying], “Worship Allah; you have no god other than Him. Will you not then fear Him?”

Waqala almalao min qawmihi allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biliqai alakhirati waatrafnahum fee alhayati alddunya ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yakulu mimma takuloona minhu wayashrabu mimma tashraboona

And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink.

And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink.

(ஹூது நபியுடைய) மக்களுக்கு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையின் சுகபோகங்களை நாம் கொடுத்திருந்தும் அவர்களுடைய தலைவர்கள் (அவைகளையும்) அவரையும் நிராகரித்துவிட்டு மறுமையைச் சந்திப்பதையும் பொய்யாக்கி ("ஹூது" நபியை சுட்டிக் காண்பித்து) "இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதனேயன்றி வேறில்லை. நீங்கள் புசிப்பதையே அவரும் புசிக்கிறார்; நீங்கள் குடிப்பதையே அவரும் குடிக்கிறார்.

ஆனால், அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரில் காஃபிர்களாய் இருந்த தலைவர்களும் இன்னும், இறுதித் தீர்ப்பு நாளை சந்திப்பதைப் பொய்ப்படுத்த முற்பட்டார்களே அவர்களும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் விசாலமான (சுகானுபவங்களைக்) கொடுத்திருந்தோமே அவர்களும், (தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம்) “இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை; நீங்கள் உண்பதையே அவரும் உண்கிறார்; நீங்கள் குடிப்பதையே அவரும் குடிக்கிறார்.

அதற்கு அவருடைய சமூகத்தாரிலிருந்து (அவரை) நிராகரித்து, மறுமையின் சந்திப்பைப் பொய்யாக்கி இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையில் சுகபோகங்களை நாம் யாருக்குக் கொடுத்திருந்தோமோ அத்தகைய தலைவர்கள் (இந் நபியைக் காண்பித்து) “இவர் உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை, நீங்கள் எதிலிருந்து உண்ணுகிறீர்களோ அதையே அவரும் உண்கிறார், நீங்கள் குடிப்பதிலிருந்து அவரும் குடிக்கிறார்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

But the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had made affluent in the life of this world, said, “He is no more than a man like yourselves; he eats what you eat and drinks what you drink.

Walain ataAAtum basharan mithlakum innakum ithan lakhasiroona

"If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily, you indeed would be losers.

And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers.

ஆகவே உங்களைப் போன்ற (இம்) மனிதனை நீங்கள் பின்பற்றினால் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நஷ்டமே அடைந்துவிடுவீர்கள்.

எனவே உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதருக்கு நீங்கள் கட்டுப்பட்டால் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நஷ்டவாளிகளே!

ஆகவே, “உங்களைப் போன்ற ஒரு மனிதருக்கு நீங்கள் கீழ்ப்படிந்தால் அப்போது நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நஷ்டமடைந்தவர்கள்”(என்றும்)-

If you obey a man like yourselves, you will surely be losers.

AyaAAidukum annakum itha mittum wakuntum turaban waAAithaman annakum mukhrajoona

"Does he promise you that when you have died and have become dust and bones, you shall come out alive (resurrected)?

Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth [once more]?

நீங்கள் இறந்து எலும்பாகவும், மண்ணாகவும் ஆனதன் பின்னர் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (உயிருடன்) வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுவீர்கள் என்று அவர் உங்களை பயமுறுத்துகிறாரா?

“நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் மரித்து மண்ணாகவும் எலும்புகளாகவும் ஆன பின்னர் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (மீண்டும்) வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுவீர்கள் என்று அவர் உங்களுக்கு வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கிறாரா?

“நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் இறந்து மண்ணாகவும் எலும்புகளாகவும் ஆகிவிட்டால், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (மீண்டும் உயிர் கொடுத்து) வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுபவர்கள் என்று அவர் உங்களுக்கு வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கிறாரா?” என்றும்)-

Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones, that you will be brought forth?

Hayhata hayhata lima tooAAadoona

"Far, very far is that which you are promised!

How far, how far, is that which you are promised.

அவர் உங்களை பயமுறுத்தும் விஷயம் வெகு தூரமோ தூரம் (அது ஆகக் கூடியதன்று).

“(அப்படியாயின்) உங்களுக்கு வாக்குறுதியளிக்கப்பட்டது, வெகு தொலைவு, வெகு தொலைவு (ஆகவே இருக்கிறது.)

“உங்களுக்கு வாக்குறுதியளிக்கப்பட்டது (எவ்வாறு நடந்தேறும்) அது வெகுதொலைவு, (அது) வெகு தொலைவு” (என்றும்),

Far-fetched, utterly far-fetched is what you are promised!

In hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama nahnu bimabAAootheena

"There is nothing but our life of this world! We die and we live! And we are not going to be resurrected!

Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected.

நமக்கு இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையைத் தவிர வேறு வாழ்க்கை இல்லை. இதிலேயே நாம் வாழ்ந்திருந்து இதிலேயே இறந்து விடுவோம். (இதற்குப் பின்னர் உயிர் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு) நாம் எழுப்பப்படப் போவதில்லை.

“நமது இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையைத் தவிர (நமக்கு) வேறு வாழ்க்கை இல்லை, நாம் இறப்போம்; (இப்போது) நாம் உயிருடன் இருக்கிறோம்; ஆனால், மீண்டும் நாம் (உயிர் கொடுக்கப்பெற்று) எழுப்பப்படப் போகிறவர்கள் அல்ல.

“இது நம்முடைய இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையைத் தவிர வேறு எதுவும் இல்லை, (இதிலேயே) நாம் இறந்துவிடுவோம், “(இப்போது) நாம் உயிரோடும் உள்ளோம், (ஆனால், நாம் இறந்தபின்னர்) நாம் உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்பப்படப்போகிறவர்களும் அல்லர்” (என்றும்)-

There is nothing except our life of this world; we die, others are born, and none will be resurrected.

In huwa illa rajulun iftara AAala Allahi kathiban wama nahnu lahu bimumineena

"He is only a man who has invented a lie against Allâh, and we are not going to believe in him."

He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him."

(ஹூது நபி என்னும்) இம்மனிதர் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பொய்யாகக் கற்பனை செய்து கூறுபவரேயன்றி வேறில்லை. இவரை நாம் நம்பவே மாட்டோம்" என்றார்கள்.

“இவர் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பொய்யாக இட்டுக் கட்டும் மனிதரேயன்றி வேறில்லை - எனவே இவரை நாம் நம்பமாட்டோம்” என்று (கூறினர்).

“இவர், அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது பொய்யைக் கற்பனை செய்து கூறும் ஒரு மனிதரே தவிர வேறில்லை, இவரை நாம் நம்பக்கூடியவர்களாகவும் இல்லை (என்றும் கூறினார்கள்.)

He is no more than a man who has fabricated lies about Allah, and we will never believe in him.”

Qala rabbi onsurnee bima kaththabooni

He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me."

He said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me."

அதற்கவர் "என் இறைவனே! இவர்கள் என்னைப் பொய்யாக்கி விட்டார்கள். நீதான் எனக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வேண்டும்" என்று பிரார்த்தித்தார்.

“என் இறைவா! என்னை இவர்கள் பொய்ப்படுத்துகின்ற காரணத்தினால் எனக்கு நீ உதவி புரிவாயாக!” என்று கூறினார்.

அ(தற்க)வர் “என் இரட்சகனே! இவர்கள் என்னைப் பொய்ப்படுத்திவிட்டதன் காரணத்தால் நீ எனக்கு உதவி செய்வாயாக!” என்று( பிரார்த்தித்துக்) கூறினார்.

Noah said, “My Lord, help me for they have rejected me.”

Qala AAamma qaleelin layusbihunna nadimeena

(Allâh) said: "In a little while, they are sure to be regretful."

[Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful."

அதற்கு இறைவன் "சிறிது பொறுத்திருங்கள்! அதிசீக்கிரத்தில் இவர்கள் துக்கத்தில் ஆழ்ந்துவிடுவார்கள்" என்று கூறினான்.

“சிறிது காலத்தில் அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாகக் கைசேதப்பட்டவர்களாகி விடுவார்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

(அதற்கு) “சிறிது காலத்தில் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் கைசேதத்தை உடையோராக ஆகிவிடுவர்” என்று (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் கூறினான்.

Allah said, “In a little while they will surely be regretful.”

Faakhathathumu alssayhatu bialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaan fabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena

So, As-Saihah (torment – awful cry) overtook them in truth (with justice), and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. So, away with the people who are Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong doers, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, disobedient to His Messengers).

So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people.

ஆகவே (இடி முழக்கம் போன்ற) ஒரு சப்தம் மெய்யாகவே அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது. நாம் அவர்களை (அழித்துக்) குப்பைக் கூளங்களைப் போல் ஆக்கிவிட்டோம். ஆகவே, அநியாயக்கார மக்கள் மீது (இறைவனின்) சாபம் ஏற்பட்டுவிட்டது.

அப்பால், (இடி முழக்கம் போன்ற) ஒரு சப்தம் நியாயமான முறையில் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டது; நாம் அவர்களை கூளங்களாக ஆக்கிவிட்டோம்; எனவே அநியாயக்கார சமூகத்தார் (இறை ரஹ்மத்திலிருந்தும்) தொலைவிலே ஆகிவிட்டார்கள்.

ஆகவே, ஒரு பெரும சப்தம் உண்மையாக அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது, அவர்களை (வெள்ளத்தில் மிதக்கும்) குப்பை கூளங்களாய் நாம் ஆக்கிவிட்டோம், ஆகவே, அநியாயக்கார சமூகத்தார்க்கு அல்லாஹ்வின் அருள் தூரமாகிவிட்டது.

So the huge blast overtook them in all justice, and We swept them away like scum. So away with the wrongdoing people!

Thumma anshana min baAAdihim quroonan akhareena

Then, after them, We created other generations.

Then We produced after them other generations.

இவர்களுக்குப் பின்னரும் நாம் மற்ற வகுப்பினர் பலரை உற்பத்தி செய்தோம்.

அப்பால், நாம் அவர்களுக்குப் பின் வேறு தலைமுறையினர்களையும் உண்டாக்கினோம்.

பிறகு அவர்களுக்குப் பின் வேறு பல தலைமுறையினரையும் நாம் உண்டாக்கினோம்.

Then We raised after them other generations.

Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalaha wama yastakhiroona

No nation can advance their term, nor can they delay it.

No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter].

(அவர்களில் எனக்கு மாறு செய்த) ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பாரும் (அவர்கள் அழிந்துபோக நாம் ஏற்படுத்திய) தவணையை முந்தவுமில்லை; பிந்தவுமில்லை. (அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட தவணையில் அழிந்து விட்டனர்.)

எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயமும் அதற்குரிய தவணையை முந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்; பிந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயமும் அதனுடைய தவணையை முந்தவும் மாட்டாது அவர்கள் பிந்தவுமாட்டார்கள்.

No nation can bring its appointed time forward, nor can they delay it.

Thumma arsalna rusulana tatra kulla ma jaa ommatan rasooluha kaththaboohu faatbaAAna baAAdahum baAAdan wajaAAalnahum ahadeetha fabuAAdan liqawmin la yuminoona

Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him; so, We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadîth (true stories for mankind to learn a lesson). So, away with a people who believe not!

Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe.

பின்னரும் நாம் நம்முடைய தூதர்களை ஒருவர் பின் ஒருவராக அனுப்பிக் கொண்டே இருந்தோம். எவ்வகுப்பாரிடம் நம்முடைய தூதர் வந்தபோதிலும் அவர்கள் அவரைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டே இருந்தார்கள். ஆகவே, நாமும் (அவ்வகுப்பினர்களை) ஒருவருக்குப் பின் ஒருவராக அழித்துக் கொண்டே வந்து அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் (பின்னுள்ளவர்கள் பேசக்கூடிய) வெறும் சரித்திரமாக்கி விட்டோம். ஆகவே, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாத (இத்தகைய) மக்களுக்குக் கேடுதான்.

பின்னரும் நாம் நம்முடைய தூதர்களைத் தொடர்ச்சியாக அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். ஒரு சமுதாயத்திடம் அதன் தூதர் வந்த போதெல்லாம், அவர்கள் அவரைப் பொய்யாக்கவே முற்பட்டார்கள்; ஆகவே நாம் அச்சமூகத்தாரையும் (அழிவில்) ஒருவருக்குப் பின் ஒருவராக்கி நாம் அவர்களை(ப் பின் வருவோர் பேசும் பழங்)கதைகளாகச் செய்தோம். எனவே, நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளாத மக்களுக்கு (அல்லாஹ்வின் ரஹ்மத்) நெடுந்தொலைவேயாகும்.

பின்னர், நாம் நம்முடைய தூதர்களை தொடர்ச்சியாக (ஒருவர் பின் ஒருவராக) அனுப்பிவைத்தோம், ஏதேனும் ஒரு சமுதாயத்திற்கு அதன் தூதர் வந்தபோதெல்லாம் அவர்கள் அவரைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள், ஆகவே, அவர்களில் சிலரை சிலருக்குப் பின் (அழிப்பதில்) நாம் தொடரச்செய்தோம், அவர்களை (பின் வந்தோர் பேசும்) கதைகளாக்கி விட்டோம், ஆகவே, விசுவாசங்கொள்ளாத (இத்தைகய) சமூகத்தவர்க்கு (அல்லாஹ்வின் அருள்) வெகுதூரமாகிவிட்டது.

Then We sent Our messengers in succession: every time a messenger came to his people, they rejected him. So We destroyed them, one after the others, and made them mere tales. Away with the people who refuse to believe!

Thumma arsalna moosa waakhahu haroona biayatina wasultanin mubeenin

Then We sent Mûsâ (Moses) and his brother Hârûn (Aaron), with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and manifest authority,

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority

பின்னர் நாம் மூஸாவையும் அவருடைய சகோதரர் ஹாரூனையும் நம்முடைய வசனங்களையும், தெளிவான ஆதாரங்களையும் கொடுத்து (நம்முடைய தூதராக)

பின்னர், நாம் மூஸாவையும், அவருடைய சகோதரர் ஹாரூனையும், நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளுடனும், தெளிவான சான்றுகளுடனும் அனுப்பினோம்-

பின்னர் நாம் மூஸாவையும், அவருடைய சகோதரர் ஹாரூனையும் நம்முடைய அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொண்டும், தெளிவான சான்றைக்கொண்டும் (நம்முடைய தூதர்களாக) அனுப்பினோம்-

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and compelling proof

Ila firAAawna wamalaihi faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman AAaleena

To Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they behaved insolently and they were people self-exalting (by disobeying their Lord, and exalting themselves over and above the Messenger of Allâh).

To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people.

ஃபிர்அவ்னிடமும் அவனுடைய பிரதானிகளிடமும் அனுப்பி வைத்தோம். அவர்களோ கர்வம்கொண்டு பெருமை அடிக்கும் மக்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.

ஃபிர்அவ்னிடத்திலும், அவனுடைய பிரமுகர்களிடத்திலும் - அவர்கள் ஆணவங்கொண்டு பெருமையடிக்கும் சமூகத்தாராக இருந்தார்கள்.

ஃபிர் அவ்னிடமும், அவனுடைய பிரதானிகளிடமும் (அனுப்பினோம்.) அவர்கள் கர்வங்கொண்டு (தங்களை) உயர்வாகக் கருதும் சமூகத்தவராக இருந்தார்கள்.

to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they showed arrogance and were haughty people.

Faqaloo anuminu libasharayni mithlina waqawmuhuma lana AAabidoona

They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves, and their people are obedient to us with humility (and we use them to serve us as we like)!"

They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?"

நம்மைப் போன்றே மனிதர்களான (இந்த) இருவரை நாம் நம்பிக்கை கொள்வோமா? (அதுவும்) அவர்களது சமூகத்தினரோ, நமக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருக்கின்றனர்.

எனவே: “நம்மைப் போன்ற இவ்விரு மனிதர்கள் மீதுமா நாம் ஈமான் கொள்வது? (அதிலும்) இவ்விருவரின் சமூகத்தாரும் நமக்கு அடிபணிந்து (தொண்டூழியம் செய்து) கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையில்!” எனக் கூறினர்.

ஆகவே, “நம்மைப் போன்ற இரு மனிதர்களை நாம் விசுவாசிப்போமா? அவ்விருவரின் சமூகத்தாரும் நமக்கு (ஊழியம் செய்து) அடிமைகளாக இருக்கும் நிலையில்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “Should we believe in two men like ourselves, when their people are our slaves?”

Fakaththaboohuma fakanoo mina almuhlakeena

So, they denied them both [Mûsâ (Moses) and Hârûn (Aaron)] and became of those who were destroyed.

So they denied them and were of those destroyed.

ஆகவே, இவ்விருவரையும் பொய்யரென அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள். இதன் காரணமாக அவர்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டுப் போயினர்.

ஆகவே இவ்விருவரையும் அவர்கள் பொய்ப்பிக்க முற்பட்டார்கள்; (அதன் விளைவாய்) அவர்கள் அழிந்தோராயினர்.

ஆகவே, அவ்விருவரையும் அவர்கள் பொய்யாக்கினார்கள், எனவே அவர்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டவர்களில் ஆகிவிட்டனர்.

So they rejected them both, and were among those who were destroyed.

Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba laAAallahum yahtadoona

And indeed We gave Mûsâ (Moses) the Scripture, that they may be guided.

And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided.

அவர்கள் நேரான வழியில் செல்வதற்காக மூஸாவுக்கு நாம் ஒரு வேதத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம். (எனினும், அதனை அவர்கள் பொருட்படுத்தவில்லை.)

(தவிர) அவர்கள் நேர்வழி பெறுவதற்காக நாம் மூஸாவுக்கு நிச்சயமாக வேதத்தையும் கொடுத்தோம்.

அவர்கள் நேர்வழி பெறுவதற்காக, மூஸாவுக்குத் திட்டமாக நாம் வேதத்தையும் கொடுத்தோம்.

We gave Moses the Scripture so that they might be guided.

WajaAAalna ibna maryama waommahu ayatan waawaynahuma ila rabwatin thati qararin wamaAAeenin

And We made the son of Maryam (Mary) and his mother as a sign, and We gave them refuge on high ground, a place of rest, security and flowing streams.

And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water.

மர்யமுடைய மகனையும் அவருடைய தாயையும் நாம் ஓர் அத்தாட்சி ஆக்கி அவ்விருவரையும் மிக்க செழிப்பும், நீர் வளமும் பொருந்திய, வசிப்பதற்கு மிகவும் தகுதியான உயரிய பூமியில் வசிக்கும்படிச் செய்தோம்.

மேலும், மர்யமுடைய மகனையும் அவருடைய தாயாரையும் ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாக்கினோம்; அன்றியும் அவ்விருவருக்கும், வசதியான நீரூற்றுகள் நிரம்பியதும், தங்குவதற்கு வசதியுள்ளதுமான மேட்டுப் பாங்கான நல்லிடத்தைக் கொடுத்தோம்.  

இன்னும், மர்யமுடையமகனையும் அவருடைய தாயாரையும் ஓர் அத்தாட்சியாக நாம் ஆக்கினோம், தங்கும் வசதியும், நீர்வளமும் பொருந்திய (தகுதியான) உயர்ந்த இடத்தில் அவ்விருவரையும் நாம் தங்கவும் வைத்தோம்.

We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and sheltered them on a hillside – a place of rest and a flowing stream.

Ya ayyuha alrrusulu kuloo mina alttayyibati waiAAmaloo salihan innee bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun

O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Tayyibât [all kinds of Halâl foods which Allâh has made lawful (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)] and do righteous deeds. Verily, I am All-Knower of what you do.

[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing.

(நாம் அனுப்பிய ஒவ்வொரு தூதரையும் நோக்கி) "என்னுடைய தூதர்களே! நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளையே புசியுங்கள். நற்காரியங்களையே செய்யுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக நான் நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கறிகின்றவனாகவே இருக்கிறேன்.

(நம் தூதர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரிடத்திலும்:) “தூதர்களே! நல்ல பொருள்களிலிருந்தே நீங்கள் உண்ணுங்கள்; (ஸாலிஹான) நல்லமல்களை செய்யுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் செய்பவற்றை நான் நன்கு அறிபவன் (என்றும்)

(என்னுடைய) தூதர்களே! நீங்கள் நல்லவற்றிலிருந்து உண்ணுங்கள், நல்ல காரியத்தையும் செய்யுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக நான் நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை நன்கறிகிறவன் (என்றும்)

O messengers, eat from the lawful things and act righteously, for I am All-Knowing of what you do.

Wainna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatan waana rabbukum faittaqooni

And verily, this your religion (of Islâmic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear (keep your duty to) Me.

And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."

நிச்சயமாக உங்களுடைய இந்த மார்க்கம் ஒரே வழிதான். (இதில் வேற்றுமை கிடையாது.) நானே உங்களுடைய இறைவன். ஆகவே, நீங்கள் என்னையே அஞ்சுங்கள்" (என்று கட்டளை இட்டிருந்தோம். அவர்களும் தம் மக்களுக்கு இவ்வாறே கூறி வந்தனர்.)

“இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக (சன்மார்க்கமான) உங்கள் சமுதாயம் (முழுவதும்) ஒரே சமுதாயம் தான்; மேலும், நானே உங்களுடைய இறைவனாக இருக்கின்றேன்; எனவே நீங்கள் எனக்கே அஞ்சுங்கள்” (என்றும் கூறினோம்).

“நிச்சயமாக (உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவு செய்யப்பட்ட) இது ஒரே மார்க்கமான உங்களுடைய மார்க்கமாகும், “இன்னும் நான் (தான்) உங்கள் இரட்சகன், ஆகவே, என்னையே நீங்கள் பயப்படுங்கள்” (என்றும் கூறினோம்.)

Indeed, this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me.

FataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahum zuburan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona

But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in what is with it (as its beliefs).

But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing.

எனினும், (யூதர்கள்) தங்களுடைய வேதத்தை(ப் புரட்டி) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்துக்கொண்டு ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பாரும் தங்களிடம் உள்ளவற்றைக் கொண்டு சந்தோஷம் அடைகின்றனர்.

ஆனால், அ(ச்சமுதாயத்த)வர்களோ தம் மார்க்க காரியத்தில் சிதறுண்டு, தமக்கிடையே பல பிரிவுகளாய் பிரிந்து, ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவினரும் தம்மிடம் இருப்பதைக் கொண்டே மகிழ்ச்சியடைபவர்களாய் இருக்கின்றனர்.

பிறகு (அச்சமூகத்தவர்களான) அவர்கள் தங்கள் (மார்க்கக்)காரியத்தைத் தங்களிடையே பல பிரிவுகளாகப் பிரித்து விட்டனர், ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பாரும் தங்களிடம் இருப்பதைக் கொண்டு மகிழ்ச்சியடைபவர்களாக உள்ளனர்.

But people split up their religion into factions, each faction rejoicing in what it has.

Fatharhum fee ghamratihim hatta heenin

So, leave them in their error for a time.

So leave them in their confusion for a time.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் அவர்களை ஒரு காலம் வரையில் அவர்களுடைய மயக்கத்தில் ஆழ்ந்து கிடக்க விட்டுவிடுங்கள்.

எனவே, அவர்களை ஒரு காலம் வரை தம் அறியாமையிலேயே ஆழ்ந்திருக்க விட்டுவிடும்.

எனவே, (நபியே!) நீர் ஒரு காலம் வரையில் அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய வழிகேட்டிலேயே (ஆழ்ந்து கிடக்க) விட்டு விடுவிராக!

So leave them in their heedlessness for a while.

Ayahsaboona annama numidduhum bihi min malin wabaneena

Do they think that in wealth and children with which We enlarge them

Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children

நாம் அவர்களுக்கு ஆண் சந்ததிகளையும் பொருள்களையும் கொடுத்து வருவதைப் பற்றி அவர்கள் என்ன நினைத்துக் கொண்டனர்?

அவர்களுக்கு நாம் செல்வத்தையும் சந்ததிகளையும் அதிகமாகக் கொடுத்திருப்பது பற்றி அவர்கள் என்ன எண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள்?

“செல்வத்தாலும், குமாரர்களாலும் எதை நாம் அவர்களுக்கு கொடுத்து உதவினோமோ, அது பற்றி அவர்கள் எண்ணிக் கொண்டார்களா?

Do they think that what We give them wealth and children,

NusariAAu lahum fee alkhayrati bal la yashAAuroona

We hasten to them with good things. Nay, [it is a Fitnah (trial) in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter] but they perceive not. (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi)

Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive.

இதனால் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்வதில் தீவிரமாக இருக்கிறோம் என்று நினைக்கின்றனரா? அவ்வாறன்று! (அது எதற்காக என்பதை) அவர்கள் உணர்ந்து கொள்ளவில்லை.

அவர்களுக்கு நன்மைகளில் நாம் விரைந்து வழங்குகிறோம் என்று அவர்கள் எண்ணிக் கொண்டார்களா? அவ்வாறல்ல; அவர்கள் (இதை) உணர்வதில்லை.

(அவ்வாறு நாம் செய்வதால்) அவர்களுக்கு நன்மையானவற்றை விரைந்து வழங்குகின்றோம், (என எண்ணிக் கொண்டார்களா?) அவ்வாறல்ல, (அது ஏன் என) அவர்கள் உணரமாட்டார்கள்.

that We hasten to them all that is good? No, but they do not perceive it.

Inna allatheena hum min khashyati rabbihim mushfiqoona

Verily, those who live in awe for fear of their Lord;

Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனுக்குப் பயந்து நடுங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்,

நிச்சயமாக, எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனிடம் அஞ்சுபவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

நிச்சயமாக, தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் பயத்தால் அஞ்சி எச்சரிக்கையாக இருக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோரும்-

Those who are in awe for fearful of their Lord,

Waallatheena hum biayati rabbihim yuminoona

And those who believe in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord;

And they who believe in the signs of their Lord

எவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனின் வசனங்களை மெய்யாகவே நம்பிக்கை கொள்கின்றார்களோ அவர்களும்,

இன்னும் எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனுடைய வசனங்கள் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

இன்னும், தங்கள் இரட்சகனின் வசனங்களை விசுவாசிக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோரும்-

and those who believe in the verses of their Lord,

Waallatheena hum birabbihim la yushrikoona

And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord;

And they who do not associate anything with their Lord

எவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனுக்கு எவரையும் இணை ஆக்காமல் இருக்கின்றனரோ அவர்களும்,

இன்னும் எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனுக்கு (எதையும்) இணையாக்காதிருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

இன்னும், தங்கள் இரட்சகனுக்கு (எதனையும்) இணையாக்காதிருக்கின்றனரே அத்தகையோரும்-

and those who do not associate partners with their Lord,

Waallatheena yutoona ma ataw waquloobuhum wajilatun annahum ila rabbihim rajiAAoona

And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning).

And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -

எவர்கள் தங்களுக்குச் சாத்தியமான வரையில் தானம் கொடுப்பதுடன் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் நிச்சயமாக தங்கள் இறைவனிடம் செல்வோம் என்று பயந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றனவோ அவர்களும்,

இன்னும் எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனிடம் தாங்கள் திரும்பிச் செல்லவேண்டியவர்கள் என்று அஞ்சும் நெஞ்சத்தினராய் (நாம் கொடுத்ததிலிருந்து) தங்களால் இயன்ற மட்டும் (அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில்) கொடுக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

இன்னும், தம் இரட்சகனின்பால் தாங்கள் திரும்பக்கூடியவர்கள் என்று அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் அஞ்சக்கூடியதாகியிருக்க (தான தர்மங்களாக) அவர்கள் கொடுத்தவற்றை (அல்லாஹ்விற்காக) கொடுக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோரும்-

and those who do whatever [good] they do with their hearts fearful, knowing that they will return to their Lord –

Olaika yusariAAoona fee alkhayrati wahum laha sabiqoona

It is these who hasten in the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salât (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on].

It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.

ஆகிய இவர்கள்தாம் நன்மையான காரியங்களில் விரைந்து செல்கின்றவர்கள். மேலும், அவர்கள் அதை (செய்வதில் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் முந்திக் கொள்கின்றனர்.

இ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் தாம் நன்மைகளின் பக்கம் விரைகின்றனர்; இன்னும் அவற்றை (நிறைவேற்றி வைப்பதில்) முந்துபவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

(ஆகிய) இவர்கள்தாம் நன்மையான காரியங்களில் விரைகின்றனர், இன்னும், (அதை நிறைவேற்ற) அவற்றிற்காக அவர்கள் முந்திக்கொள்ளக்கூடியவர்கள்.

it is they who hasten to do good deeds, and they are foremost in them.

Wala nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha waladayna kitabun yantiqu bialhaqqi wahum la yuthlamoona

And We task not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged.

And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.

நாம் யாதொரு ஆத்மாவையும் அதன் சக்திக்கு அதிகமாக (எதையும் செய்யும்படி) நிர்ப்பந்திப்பதில்லை. ஒவ்வொருவரின் மெய்யான தினசரிக் குறிப்பும் நம்மிடம் இருக்கின்றது. (அவர்களின் நன்மையைக் குறைத்தோ பாவத்தை அதிகப்படுத்தியோ) அவர்கள் அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

நாம் எந்த ஆத்மாவையும், அதன் சக்திக்கு ஏற்றவாறு அல்லாமல் (அதிகம் செய்யுமாறு) நிர்ப்பந்திக்க மாட்டோம்; மேலும் உண்மையை பேசும் ஒரு (பதிவுப்) புத்தகம் நம்மிடம் இருக்கிறது; இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு (ஒரு சிறிதும்) அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட மாட்டாது.

நாம் எந்த ஆத்மாவையும், அதனுடைய சக்திக்குத் தக்கவாறல்லாது (அதிகமாக) சிரமப்படுத்தமாட்டோம், மேலும், (அவர்களின் செயல்கள் பற்றிய) உண்மை பேசும் புத்தகம் நம்மிடம் இருக்கிறது, (சிறிதளவேனும்) அவர்கள் அநியாயம் செய்யப்படவுமாட்டார்கள்.

We do not burden a soul more than what it can bear. We have a Record [of their deeds] that tells the truth, and none will be wronged.

Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratin min hatha walahum aAAmalun min dooni thalika hum laha AAamiloona

Nay, but their hearts are covered from (understanding) this (the Qur'ân), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides which they are doing.

But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing,

எனினும், (நிராகரிக்கும்) அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் இ(வ்வேதத்)தைப் பற்றி (சந்தேகித்து) மடமையில் ஆழ்ந்து கிடக்கின்றன. இதனையன்றி அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் வேறு பல (தீய) காரியங்களும் இருக்கின்றன.

ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் இதைக் குறித்து அறியாமையிலேயே (ஆழ்ந்து) கிடக்கின்றன; இன்னும், அவர்களுக்கு இதுவன்றி (வேறு தீய) காரியங்களும் உண்டு. அதனை அவர்கள் செய்து வருகிறார்கள்.

எனினும் அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் இ(வ்வேதத்)தைப் பற்றி மறதியில் ஆழ்ந்து கிடக்கின்றன, இன்னும், இதுவன்றி அவர்களுக்கு வேறு (தீய) காரியங்களும் உண்டு, அவற்றை அவர்கள் செய்யக்கூடியவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்.

But their hearts are oblivious of this [Qur’an], and they have other [evil] deeds that they are doing.

Hatta itha akhathna mutrafeehim bialAAathabi itha hum yajaroona

Until when We seize those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold, they make humble invocation with a loud voice.

Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help.

ஆகவே, அவர்களின் தலைவர்களை வேதனையைக் கொண்டு நாம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டாலோ, அவர்கள் (அந்நேரத்தில் திடுக்கிட்டுத் தங்களை காப்பாற்றும்படி) அபய சப்தமிடுகின்றனர்.

(இவ்வுலக) சுகானுபவங்களில் மூழ்கிக் கிடப்போரை நாம் வேதனையைக் கொண்டு பிடிக்கும்போது, உதவிக்காக அவர்கள் அபயக் குரல் எழுப்புவார்கள்.

முடிவாக அவர்களில் சுகபோக வாழ்க்கைக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களை வேதனையைக் கொண்டு நாம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டால், அப்போது அவர்கள் அபயம் தேடி சப்தமிடுவார்கள்.

Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, they start crying for help.

La tajaroo alyawma innakum minna la tunsaroona

Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly you shall not be helped by Us.

Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped.

(அச்சமயம் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "இன்றைய தினம் நீங்கள் அபயமிட்டு சப்தமிடாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நம்மால் உதவி செய்யப்பட மாட்டீர்கள்.

“இன்று நீங்கள் உதவிக்காக அபயக் குரலை எழுப்பாதீர்கள்; நிச்சயமாக, நீங்கள் நம்மிடமிருந்து உதவி செய்யப்பட மாட்டீர்கள்.

“இன்றையத் தினம் நீங்கள் சப்தமிடாதீர்கள், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நம்மால் உதவி செய்யப்படமாட்டீர்கள்” என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்.

“Do not cry for help today, for you will receive no help from Us.

Qad kanat ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum AAala aAAqabikum tankisoona

Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and refusing with hatred to listen to them).

My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels

நிச்சயமாக நம்முடைய வசனங்கள் உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்ட அச்சமயம் (அதனைப் புறக்கணித்து) நீங்கள் பின் வாங்கினீர்கள்.

என்னுடைய வசனங்கள் நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டன; ஆனால் நீங்கள் புறங்காட்டிச் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்.

“நிச்சயமாக, என்னுடைய வசனங்கள் உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டன, ஆனால், நீங்கள் உங்கள் குதிங்கால்கள்மீது திரும்பிச் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்.

My verses were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels,

Mustakbireena bihi samiran tahjuroona

In pride (they – Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary – Haram), talking evil about it (the Qur'ân) by night.

In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil.

நீங்கள் கர்வங்கொண்டு (உங்கள்) இராக் கதைகளிலும் இதைப் பற்றி (பரிகாசம் செய்து) பிதற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்" (என்று கூறப்படும்).

ஆணவங் கொண்டவர்களாக இராக்காலத்தில் கூடி குர்ஆனை பற்றி கட்டுக்கதைகள் போல் வீண் வார்த்தையாடியவர்களாக (அதைப் புறக்கணித்தீர்கள் என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்).

“நீங்கள் கர்வங்கொண்டவர்களாக இராக்காலத்தில் (கூடி, குர் ஆனாகிய) அதனைப்பற்றி குறைகளைக் கூறி வந்தீர்கள்” (என்றும் அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்.)

feeling proud of this [Sacred House], spending night in evil talks [about the Qur’an].”

Afalam yaddabbaroo alqawla am jaahum ma lam yati abaahumu alawwaleena

Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allâh, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet ), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old?

Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?

(நம்முடைய) வாக்கியத்தை அவர்கள் கவனிக்கவில்லையா? அல்லது அவர்களுடைய முந்திய மூதாதைகளுக்கு வராதது ஏதும் இவர்களுக்கு வந்துவிட்டதா?

(குர்ஆனின்) சொல்லைப் பற்றி அவர்கள் சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அல்லது தம் முன்னவர்களான மூதாதையருக்கு வராத ஒன்று அவர்களுக்கு வந்துவிட்டதா?

“(குர் ஆனின்) வாக்கியத்தைப் பற்றி அவர்கள் சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கவில்லையா? அல்லது அவர்களுடைய முந்தையவர்களான மூதாதையருக்கு வராதது ஏதும் அவர்களுக்கு வந்துவிட்டதா?

Have they not pondered the Words [of Allah], or has there come to them what did not come to their forefathers?

Am lam yaAArifoo rasoolahum fahum lahu munkiroona

Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) so they deny him?

Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging?

அல்லது தங்களிடம் வந்த தூதரை தாங்கள் அறியவில்லை என்பதாக(க் கூறி) அவர்கள் நிராகரிக்கின்றனரா?

அல்லது அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய (இறுதித்) தூதரைச் சரிவர அறிந்து கொள்ளாது அவரை நிராகரிக்கிறவர்களாய் இருக்கின்றார்களா?

அல்லது தங்களுடைய தூதரை தாங்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளவில்லையா? அதனால் அவர்கள் அவரை நிராகரிக்ககூடியவர்களா?

Or is it that they do not recognize their Messenger, so they deny him?

Am yaqooloona bihi jinnatun bal jaahum bialhaqqi waaktharuhum lilhaqqi karihoona

Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth (i.e. Tauhîd: worshipping Allâh Alone in all aspects, the Qur'ân and the religion of Islâm), but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth.

Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse.

அல்லது "அவருக்குப் பைத்தியம் பிடித்திருக்கின்றது" என இவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனரா? இவை ஒன்றுமில்லை. (நம்முடைய தூதர்) அவர்களுக்குச் சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு வந்தார். எனினும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் அந்த சத்தியத்தையே வெறுக்கின்றனர்.

அல்லது, “அவருக்குப் பைத்தியம் பிடித்திருக்கிறது” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுகிறார்களா? இல்லை; அவர் உண்மையைக் கொண்டே அவர்களிடம் வந்துள்ளார், எனினும் அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் அந்த உண்மையையே வெறுக்கிறார்கள்.

அல்லது “அவருக்குப் பைத்தியமிருக்கின்றது” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனரா? இல்லை (நம் தூதராகிய) அவர் அவர்களுக்குச் சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு வந்தார், இன்னும், அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் அந்தச் சத்தியத்தை வெறுக்கின்றவர்கள்.

Or do they say, “There is madness in him?” Rather, he has come to them with the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth.

Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahum lafasadati alssamawatu waalardu waman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAan thikrihim muAAridoona

And if the truth had been in accordance with their desires, verily, the heavens and the earth, and whosoever is therein would have been corrupted! Nay, We have brought them their reminder, but they turn away from their reminder.

But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away.

சத்தியம் அவர்களுடைய (தப்பான) விருப்பத்தைப் பின்பற்றுவதென்றால் நிச்சயமாக வானங்களும் பூமியும் அவற்றில் உள்ளவைகளும் அழிந்துவிடும். ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்கு நல் உபதேசத்தையே அனுப்பினோம். எனினும், அவர்களோ தங்களிடம் வந்த நல்லுபதேசத்தையே புறக்கணித்து விட்டனர்.

இன்னும் அந்த உண்மை அவர்களுடைய இச்சைகளைப் பின்பற்றி இருக்குமாயின் நிச்சயமாக வானங்களும், பூமியும் அவற்றிலுள்ளவைகளும் சீர்கெட்டுப் போயிருக்கும்; அதனால், அவர்களுக்கு நாம் நினைவூட்டும் நல்லுபதேசமான திக்ரை - குர்ஆனை அளித்தோம். எனினும் அவர்கள் தங்களிடம் வந்த திக்ரை - குர்ஆனை புறக்கணிக்கின்றனர்.

இன்னும், (இச்) சத்தியம் அவர்களுடைய அனேக இச்சைகளைப் பின்பற்றுவதென்றால், வானங்களும் பூமியும் அவற்றிலுள்ளவைகளும் சீர் கெட்டுவிடும், மாறாக அவர்களுடைய நல்லுபதேசத்தை (குர் ஆனை) அவர்களுக்கு நாம் கொடுத்தோம், ஆனாலும் அவர்கள், தங்களுடைய நல்லுபதேசத்தை (குர் ஆனை)ப் புறக்கணிக்கக் கூடியவர்கள் (ஆக இருக்கின்றனர்.)

Were the Truth to follow their desires, the heavens and earth, and all those who are therein would have been ruined. In fact, We have given them their Reminder, but they are averse to their Reminder.

Am tasaluhum kharjan fakharaju rabbika khayrun wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena

Or is it that you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance.

Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.

அல்லது, நீங்கள் அவர்களிடம் யாதொரு கூலியையும் கேட்கின்றீரா? (அதுவும் இல்லை. ஏனென்றால்,) உங்களது இறைவன் (உங்களுக்குத்) தரும் கூலியே மிக்க மேலானதாக இருக்கிறது. அவனோ கொடையாளிகளிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

அல்லது நீர் அவர்களிடம் கூலி ஏதும் கேட்கிறீரா? (இல்லை! ஏனெனில்) உம்முடைய இறைவன் கொடுக்கும் கூலியே மிகவும் மேலானது - இன்னும் அளிப்பவர்களில் அவனே மிக்க மேலானவன்.

அல்லது அவர்களிடம் நீர் கூலியைக் கேட்கின்றீரா? (இல்லை, ஏனெனில்) உமதிரட்சகனின் கூலியே மிக்க மேலானது, அவனோ கொடுப்பவர்களில் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

Or do you ask them for some reward? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the Best of Providers.

Wainnaka latadAAoohum ila siratin mustaqeemin

And certainly, you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) call them to a Straight Path (true religion – Islâmic Monotheism).

And indeed, you invite them to a straight path.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் அவர்களை நேரான வழிக்கே அழைக்கின்றீர்கள்.

மேலும், நிச்சயமாக நீர் அவர்களை - ஸிராத்தும் முஸ்தகீம் (நேரான வழியின்) பக்கமே அழைக்கின்றீர்.

இன்னும், (நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக, நீர் அவர்களை நேரான வழியின் பால் அழைக்கிறீர்.

Indeed, you are calling them to a straight path,

Wainna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati AAani alssirati lanakiboona

And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion – Islâmic Monotheism).

But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.

எவர்கள் மறுமையை நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவில்லையோ நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் நேரான வழியைப் புறக்கணித்தவர்களாகவே இருக்கின்றனர்.

இன்னும் எவர் மறுமையை நம்பவில்லையோ, நிச்சயமாக அவர் அந்த (நேர்) வழியை விட்டு விலகியவர் ஆவார்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக மறுமையை விசுவாசங்கொள்ளவில்லையே அத்தகையவர்கள், (நேரான) வழியை விட்டும் பிசகியவர்களாவர்.

but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from that path.

Walaw rahimnahum wakashafna ma bihim min durrin lalajjoo fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona

And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

நாம் அவர்கள் மீது கருணை காண்பித்து அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட கஷ்டத்தை நீக்கியபோதிலும் அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய வழிகேட்டிலேயே மூழ்கித் தட்டழிகின்றனர்.

ஆனால் அ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் மீது கிருபை கொண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட துன்பத்தை நீக்கிவிடுவோமானால், அவர்கள் தட்டழிந்தவர்களாக தங்கள் வழிகேட்டிலேயே அவர்கள் நீடிக்கின்றனர்.

நாம் அவர்கள் மீது அருளும் செய்து அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட கஷ்டத்தை நாம் நீக்கி விடுவோமானாலும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய அழிச்சாட்டியத்திலேயே தட்டழிகிறவர்களாக நிலைத்து விடுகின்றனர்.

Even if We were to show them mercy and relieve their adversity, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabi fama istakanoo lirabbihim wama yatadarraAAoona

And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allâh) with submission to Him.

And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus]

நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களை வேதனையைக் கொண்டு பிடித்துக் கொண்டோம். ஆனால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனிடம் திரும்பவும் இல்லை; (அவனிடம்) பணிந்து பிரார்த்தனை செய்யவும் இல்லை.

திடனாக நாம் அவர்களை வேதனையைக் கொண்டு பிடித்திருக்கிறோம்; ஆனால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனுக்குப் பணியவுமில்லை; தாழ்ந்து பிரார்த்திக்கவுமில்லை.

திட்டமாக, நாம் அவர்களை வேதனையைக் கொண்டு பிடித்தும் கொண்டோம்; ஆனால் (அதன் மூலம்) அவர்கள் தங்கள் இரட்சகனுக்கு அடிபணியவுமில்லை; அவர்கள் (அவனிடம்) தாழ்ந்து பிரார்த்தனை செய்யவுமில்லை.

We have already seized them with punishment, but they did not humble themselves to their Lord, nor did they supplicate in humility,

Hatta itha fatahna AAalayhim baban tha AAathabin shadeedin itha hum feehi mublisoona

Until, when We open for them a gate of severe punishment, then lo! they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair.

Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair.

அவர்கள் மீது கடினமான வேதனையின் ஒரு வாயிலைத் திறந்து விட்டாலோ அவர்கள் திடுக்கிட்டுத் தங்கள் நம்பிக்கையை முற்றிலும் இழந்து விடுகின்றனர்.

எதுவரையிலெனின், நாம் அவர்கள் மீது கடும் வேதனையின் வாயிலைத் திறந்து விடுவோமானால், அவர்கள் அதனால் நம்பிக்கை இழந்துவிடுகிறார்கள்.  

முடிவாக, அவர்கள் மீது கடினமான வேதனையுடைய ஒரு வாயிலை நாம் திறந்து விடுவோமானால், அப்போது அவர்கள் அதில் நிராசையானவர்களாக ஆகிவிடுகின்றனர்.

until when We open for them a gateway of a severe punishment, they will be plunged into utter despair.

Wahuwa allathee anshaa lakumu alssamAAa waalabsara waalafidata qaleelan ma tashkuroona

It is He Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), eyes (sight), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give.

And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.

அவன்தான் உங்களுக்குச் செவி, பார்வை, உள்ளம் ஆகியவைகளைக் கொடுத்தவன். (இவ்வாறிருந்தும்) அவனுக்கு நீங்கள் வெகு சொற்பமாகவே நன்றி செலுத்துகிறீர்கள்.

இன்னும் அவனே உங்களுக்குச் செவிப்புலனையும், பார்வைகளையும், இதயங்களையும் படைத்தவன்; மிகக் குறைவாகவே அவனுக்கு நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துகிறீர்கள்.

இன்னும், (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால் உங்களுக்குச் செவிப்புலனையும், பார்வைகளையும், இதயங்களையும் உண்டாக்கினான், (இவ்வாறிருந்தும் அவனுக்கு) நீங்கள் வெகு சொற்பமாகவே நன்றி செலுத்துகிறீர்கள்.

It is He Who gave you hearing, sight and hearts. How little you give thanks!

Wahuwa allathee tharaakum fee alardi wailayhi tuhsharoona

And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back.

And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.

அவன்தான் உங்களைப் பூமியில் (பல பாகங்களிலும்) பரந்து (வசித்து) பெருகச் செய்கிறான். (மரணித்த பின்னரும்) அவனிடமே நீங்கள் கொண்டு வரப்படுவீர்கள்.

மேலும், அவன்தான் உங்களை இப்பூமியில் பல்கிப் பெருகச் செய்தான்; இன்னும், அவனிடத்திலேயே நீங்கள் ஒன்று திரட்டப்படுவீர்கள்.

மேலும், அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களைப் பூமியில் (பல பகுதிகளிலும் பல்கிப் பெருக) பரவச் செய்திருக்கின்றான், மேலும் (மரணத்திற்குப் பிறகு) அவனிடமே நீங்கள் ஒன்று திரட்டப்படுவீர்கள்.

And it is He Who spread you on earth, and to Him you will all be gathered.

Wahuwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu walahu ikhtilafu allayli waalnnahari afala taAAqiloona

And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand?

And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?

அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கிறான்; மரணிக்கவும் செய்விக்கிறான். இரவு பகல் மாறி மாறி வருவதும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையினாலேயே! இவ்வளவு கூட நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கிறான்; இன்னும் அவனே மரணிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; மற்றும், இரவும் பகலும் மாறி மாறி வருவதும் அவனுக்குரியதே! (இவற்றை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளமாட்டீர்களா?

அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், அவனே உயிர் கொடுக்கின்றான், இன்னும் அவனே மரணிக்கச்செய்கின்றான், மற்றும் இரவு, பகல் மாறி மாறி வருவதும் அவனுக்கு உரியது, (இவற்றையெல்லாம் தொடக்கத்திலிருந்து செய்து வரும் அவனுக்கு உங்களை உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்புவது கடினம் அல்ல என்பதை) நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ள மாட்டீர்களா?

It is He Who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand?

Bal qaloo mithla ma qala alawwaloona

Nay, but they say the like of what the men of old said.

Rather, they say like what the former peoples said.

என்னே! இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்கள் கூறியவாறே இவர்களும் கூறுகின்றனர்.

மாறாக, முன்னிருந்தவர்கள் கூறியதைப் போலவே, இவர்களும் கூறுகிறார்கள்.

மாறாக, (இவர்களுக்கு) முன்னுள்ளோர்கள் கூறியவாறே இவர்களும் கூறுகின்றனர்.

But they say the like of what the earlier peoples said.

Qaloo aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamabAAoothoona

They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed?

They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

(அதாவது:) "நாம் மரணித்து எலும்பாகவும் உக்கி மண்ணாகவும் போனதன் பின்னர் மெய்யாகவே நாம் எழுப்பப் படுவோமா?" என்று (அவர்கள் கூறியவாறே இவர்களும்) கூறுகின்றனர்.

“நாங்கள் மரித்து மண்ணாகவும் எலும்புகளாகவும் ஆகிவிட்டாலுமா நாங்கள் நிச்சயமாக எழுப்பப்படுவோம்?” என்று அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.

(அதாவது!) “நாம் இறந்து மண்ணாகவும், எலும்பாகவும் ஆகிவிட்டாலுமா நிச்சயமாக, நாங்கள் மீண்டும் எழுப்பப் படுபவர்கள்,?” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They say, “Is it that when we die and become dust and bones, will we really be resurrected?

Laqad wuAAidna nahnu waabaona hatha min qablu in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena

"Verily, this we have been promised – we and our fathers before (us)! This is nothing but tales of the ancients!"

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."

(அன்றி) "நிச்சயமாக நாமும் நம்முடைய மூதாதைகளும் இவ்வாறே பயமுறுத்தப்பட்டோம். இது முன்னுள்ளவர்களின் கட்டுக்கதையே அன்றி வேறில்லை" (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.)

“மெய்யாகவே முன்னர் நாங்கள் (அதாவது) நாமும், எம் மூதாதையரும் - இவ்வாறே வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்; ஆனால் இது முன்னுள்ளவர்களின் கட்டுக் கதைகளே அன்றி வேறில்லை” (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்).

(அன்றி “நாமும் இதற்கு முன்னர் நம்முடைய மூதாதையர்களும் இதனையே திட்டமாக வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம், (ஆனால்) இது முன்னுள்ளோரின் கட்டுக்கதைகளேயன்றி (வேறு) இல்லை (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.)

This is what we and our forefathers were promised before; this is nothing but ancient fables.”

Qul limani alardu waman feeha in kuntum taAAlamoona

Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!"

Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?"

(ஆகவே நபியே! நீங்கள் அவர்களை நோக்கி) "பூமியும் அதில் உள்ளவைகளும் யாருக்குரியன? நீங்கள் அறிந்திருந்தால் கூறுங்கள்" எனக் கேளுங்கள்.

“நீங்கள் அறிந்திருந்தால், இப் பூமியும் இதிலுள்ளவர்களும் யாருக்கு(ச் சொந்தம்?“ என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பீராக!

“பூமியும், அதிலுள்ளவையும் யாருக்கு உரியது என நீங்கள், அறிந்திருந்தால் கூறுங்கள்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பீராக!

Say, “To whom belong the earth and all those who are on it, if you really know?”

Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afala tathakkaroona

They will say: "It is Allâh's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?"

They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?"

அதற்கவர்கள் "அல்லாஹ்வுக்குரியனவே" என்று கூறுவார்கள். (அவ்வாறாயின் இதனைக் கொண்டு) நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்ச்சிப் பெறமாட்டீர்களா? என்று கேளுங்கள்.

“அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்; “(அவ்வாறாயின் இதை நினைவிற்கொண்டு) நீங்கள் நல்லுணர்வு பெறமாட்டீர்களா?” என்று கூறுவீராக!

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியன” என்று கூறுவார்கள், “(அவ்வாறாயின் அல்லாஹ்தான் வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன் என்பதை) நீங்கள் நினைத்துப்பார்க்க மாட்டீர்களா?” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

They will say, “To Allah.” Say, “Will you not then take heed?”

Qul man rabbu alssamawati alssabAAi warabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi

Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?"

Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?"

அன்றி "ஏழு வானங்களுக்கும், மகத்தான அர்ஷுக்கும் சொந்தக்காரன் யார்?" என்று கேளுங்கள்.

“ஏழு வானங்களுக்கு இறைவனும் மகத்தான அர்ஷுக்கு இறைவனும் யார்?” என்றும் கேட்பீராக.

(அன்றி) “ஏழு வானங்களின் இரட்சகனும், மகத்தான அர்ஷின் இரட்சகனும் யார்? என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கேட்பிராக!

Say, “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Mighty Throne?”

Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afala tattaqoona

They will say: "Allâh." Say: "Will you not then fear Allâh (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for every good or bad deed)?"

They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

அதற்கவர்கள் "யாவும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குரியனவே" என்று கூறுவார்கள். "அவ்வாறாயின் நீங்கள் அவனுக்கு பயப்பட வேண்டாமா?" என்று கேளுங்கள்.

“அல்லாஹ்வே” என்று அவர்கள் சொல்வார்கள்; “(அவ்வாறாயின்) நீங்கள் அவனுக்கு அஞ்சி இருக்கமாட்டீர்களா?” என்று கூறுவீராக!

அ(தற்க)வர்கள் (அவை யாவும்) “அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியன” என்று கூறுவார்கள், “(அவ்வாறாயின்) நீங்கள் (அவனுடைய தண்டனையை) பயப்பட மாட்டீர்களா?” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக.

They will say, “Allah.” Say, “Will you not then fear Him?”

Qul man biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wahuwa yujeeru wala yujaru AAalayhi in kuntum taAAlamoona

Say: "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector (i.e. if Allâh saves anyone, none can punish or harm him; and if Allâh punishes or harms anyone, none can save him), if you know?" (Tafsir Al-Qurtubî)

Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?"

அன்றி "எல்லா பொருள்களின் அதிகாரம் யார் கையில் இருக்கின்றது? யார் (அனைவரையும்) பாதுகாக்கிறான். அவனை ஒருவரும் பாதுகாப்பதில்லை. நீங்கள் அறிந்திருந்தால் (அவன் யார் எனக்) கூறுங்கள்" எனக் கேளுங்கள்.

“எல்லாப் பொருட்களின் ஆட்சியும் யார் கையில் இருக்கிறது? - யார் எல்லாவற்றையும் பாதுகாப்பவனாக - ஆனால் அவனுக்கு எதிராக எவரும் பாதுகாக்கப்பட முடியாதே அவன் யார்? நீங்கள் அறிவீர்களாயின் (சொல்லுங்கள்)” என்று கேட்பீராக.

ஓவ்வொரு பொருளின் ஆட்சியும் எவன் கைவசம் இருக்கின்றது? அவன் பாதுகாக்கிறான், (அவனது தண்டனையிலிருந்து தப்ப) அவனுக்கு எதிராக எவரும் பாதுகாக்கப்பட முடியாதே – அவன் யார்? என நீஙகள் அறிந்தவர்களாக இருப்பின் (கூறுங்கள்) என்று கேட்பீராக!

Say, “In Whose Hand is the dominion of all things – and He gives protection while none can protect against Him – if you really know?”

Sayaqooloona lillahi qul faanna tusharoona

They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allâh." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?"

They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?"

அதற்கவர்கள் (எல்லா அதிகாரங்களும்) "அல்லாஹ்வுக் குரியதுதான்" என்று கூறுவார்கள். "அவ்வாறாயின் நீங்கள் எவ்வாறு உங்கள் அறிவை இழந்து விட்டீர்கள்?" என்று கேளுங்கள்.

அதற்கவர்கள் “(இது) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே (உரியது)” என்று கூறுவார்கள். (“உண்மை தெரிந்தும்) நீங்கள் ஏன் மதி மயங்குகிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்பீராக.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள் “(சகல அதிகாரமும்) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது” என்று கூறுவார்கள்” (அவ்வாறாயின்) நீங்கள் எங்கிருந்து சூனியமாக்கப்படுகிறீர்கள் (எவ்வாறு மதிமயக்கப்படுகிறீர்கள்) என்று கேட்பீராக!

They will say, “Allah.” Say, “Then how can you be deluded?”

Bal ataynahum bialhaqqi wainnahum lakathiboona

Nay, but We have brought them the truth (Islâmic Monotheism), and verily, they (disbelievers) are liars.

Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars.

நாம் அவர்களுக்கு சத்தியத்தையே கொடுத்திருந்தோம். (இதனை மறுத்துக் கூறும்) அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக பொய்யர்களே!

எனினும், நாம் அவர்களிடம் உண்மையை கொண்டுவந்தோம்; ஆனால் நிச்சயமாக அவர்களோ பொய்யர்களாகவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

எனினும், நாம் அவர்களுக்குச் சத்தியத்தையே கொடுத்திருந்தோம், (இதனை மறுத்துக்கூறும்) அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாகப் பொய்யர்களாகவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

In fact, We brought them the truth, but they are certainly liars.

Ma ittakhatha Allahu min waladin wama kana maAAahu min ilahin ithan lathahaba kullu ilahin bima khalaqa walaAAala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin subhana Allahi AAamma yasifoona

No son (or offspring) did Allâh beget, nor is there any ilâh (god) along with Him. (If there had been many gods), then each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified is Allâh above all that they attribute to Him!

Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him].

அல்லாஹ் சந்ததி எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை. அவனுடன் வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு இறைவனுமில்லை. அவ்வாறாயின் ஒவ்வொரு இறைவனும் தான் படைத்தவைகளைத் தன்னுடன் சேர்த்துக் கொண்டு, ஒருவர் மற்றவர் மீது போர் புரிய ஆரம்பித்து விடுவர். (நிராகரிக்கும்) இவர்கள் வர்ணிக்கும் இத்தகைய வர்ணிப்புகளை விட்டும் அல்லாஹ் மிக்க பரிசுத்தமானவன்.

அல்லாஹ் தனக்கென ஒரு மகனை எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை. அவனுடன் (வேறு) நாயனுமில்லை; அவ்வாறாயின் (அவர்கள் கற்பனை செய்யும்) ஒவ்வோர் நாயனும் தான் படைத்தவற்றை(த் தன்னுடன் சேர்த்து)க் கொண்டு போய் சிலர் சிலரைவிட மிகைப்பார்கள். (இவ்வாறெல்லாம்) இவர்கள் வர்ணிப்பதை விட்டும் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தூயவன்.

அல்லாஹ் எந்த ஒரு மகவையும் (தனக்குச் சந்ததியாக) எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை; அவனுடன் (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய வேறு எந்த) நாயனும் இல்லை; (அவர்களின் கற்பனையின்படி) அவ்வாறிருப்பின் ஒவொரு நாயனும் தான் படைத்ததைக் கொண்டு சென்றுவிடுவர்; இன்னும் நம்மில் சிலர் சிலரை (மிகைத்து) உயர்ந்தும் விடுவர். இந்நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் வர்ணிப்பவற்றை விட்டும் அல்லாஹ் மிகத் தூயவன்.

Allah has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what he had created, and each would have tried to gain supremacy over the other. Glory be to Allah far above what they ascribe to Him!

AAalimi alghaybi waalshshahadati fataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted is He over all that they associate as partners to Him!

[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him].

அவன் மறைவானவற்றையும் வெளிப்படையானவற்றையும் அறிந்தவன். இவர்கள் இணைவைப்பவைகளை விட அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

அவன் மறைவானதையும் பகிரங்கமானதையும் நன்கறிபவன்; எனவே அவர்கள் (அவனுக்கு) இணை வைப்பவற்றை விட்டும் அவன் மிகவும் உயர்ந்தவன்.  

(அவன்) மறைவானதையும் பகிரங்கமானதையும் நன்கறிந்தவன், இவர்கள் இணைவைப்பவைகளை விட்டும் அவன் மிக்க உயர்ந்தவன்.

Knower of the unseen and the seen. Exalted is He far above what they associate with Him!

Qul rabbi imma turiyannee ma yooAAadoona

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "My Lord! If You would show me that with which they are threatened (torment),

Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised,

"என் இறைவனே! நீ அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கும் வேதனையை நீ எனக்கு காண்பிப்பதாயின்,

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக: “என் இறைவனே! அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டதை (வேதனையை) நீ எனக்கு காண்பிப்பதாயின்:

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக! என் இரட்சகனே! எதை அவர்கள் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்டார்களோ, அ(வ்வேதனையான)தை எனக்கு நீ காண்பிப்பதாயின்-

Say, “My Lord, if You show me what they are warned of,

Rabbi fala tajAAalnee fee alqawmi alththalimeena

"My Lord! Then (save me from Your punishment), put me not amongst the people who are the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers)."

My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

என் இறைவனே! (அச்சமயம்) இந்த அநியாயக்கார மக்களுடன் என்னை நீ சேர்த்து விடாதே" என்று (நபியே!) நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தியுங்கள்.

“என் இறைவனே! அப்போது என்னை அந்த அநியாயக்காரர்களின் சமூகத்துடன் என்னைச் சேர்த்து வைக்காதிருப்பாயாக” என்று.

“என் இரட்சகனே! (அது சமயம்) இந்த அநியாயக்காரர்களான சமூகத்தாரில் என்னை நீ ஆக்கிவிடாதிருப்பாயாக” (என்றும் நபியே! நீர் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கூறுவீராக)

my Lord, then do not include me among the wrongdoing people.”

Wainna AAala an nuriyaka ma naAAiduhum laqadiroona

And indeed We are Able to show you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) that with which We have threatened them.

And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them.

ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்திருக்கும் வேதனையை உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கவும் ஆற்றல் பெற்றவர்களாக இருக்கின்றோம்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக, அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களிப்பதை (வேதனையை) உமக்குக் காண்பிக்க ஆற்றலுடையோம் நாம்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்த ஒன்றை உமக்குக் காண்பிக்கவும் நாம் ஆற்றலுடையோராக உள்ளோம்.

We are surely able to show you that of which We have warned them.

IdfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanu alssayyiata nahnu aAAlamu bima yasifoona

Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Knower of the things they utter.

Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe.

(நபியே!) தீமையை மிக அழகியதைக் கொண்டே நீங்கள் தடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர்கள் (உங்களைப் பற்றிக்) கூறுவதை நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

(நபியே!) நீர் அழகிய நன்மையைக் கொண்டு தடுத்துக் கொள்வீராக! அவர்கள் வர்ணிப்பதை நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

எது மிக அழகானதோ அதைக்கொண்டு தீமையை நீர் தடுத்துக் கொள்வீராக! அவர்கள் (பொய்யாக) வர்ணிப்பதை நாம் நன்கறிவோம்.

Repel evil with what is best; We know well what they claim.

Waqul rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati alshshayateeni

And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayâtîn (devils).

And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils,

அன்றி "என் இறைவனே! (பாவமான காரியங்களைச் செய்யும்படித் தூண்டும்) ஷைத்தானுடைய தூண்டுதல்களிலிருந்து என்னை காப்பாற்றும்படி நான் உன்னிடம் கோருகிறேன்.

இன்னும்: நீர் கூறுவீராக! “என் இறைவனே! ஷைத்தானின் தூண்டுதல்களிலிருந்து நான் உன்னைக் கொண்டு காவல் தேடுகிறேன்” (என்றும்)

இன்னும், “என் இரட்சகனே! ஷைத்தானுடைய தூண்டுதல்களிலிருந்து நான் உன்னிடம் பாதுகாவல் தேடுகிறேன்” என்றும் நபியே! நீர் கூறுவீராக!

And say, “My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the temptations of the devils.

WaaAAoothu bika rabbi an yahdurooni

"And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they should come near me."

And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me."

என் இறைவனே! ஷைத்தான் என்னிடம் வராமலிருக்கவும் நான் உன்னிடம் கோருகிறேன்" என்று (நபியே!) நீங்கள் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள்.

“இன்னும் அவை என்னிடம் நெருங்காமலிருக்கவும் என் இறைவனே! உன்னிடம் காவல் தேடுகிறேன்” (என்று கூறுவீராக)!

“என் இரட்சகனே! இன்னும் அவை (என் காரியங்களில்) பிரசன்னமாகாதிருக்கவும் உன்னிடம் நான் பாதுகாவல் தேடுகிறேன்” (என்றும் நபியே! நீர் பிரார்த்தித்துக் கூறுவீராக!

And I seek refuge with You, my Lord, that they even come near me.”

Hatta itha jaa ahadahumu almawtu qala rabbi irjiAAooni

Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allâh), he says: "My Lord! Send me back,

[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back

(நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும்) அவர்களில் எவனுக்கும் மரணம் வந்தாலோ (அவன் தன் இறைவனை நோக்கி) "என் இறைவனே! என்னை (உலகத்திற்கு) திரும்ப அனுப்பிவிடு.

அவர்களில் ஒருவனுக்கு மரணம் வரும்போது, அவன்: “என் இறைவனே! என்னைத் திரும்ப (உலகுக்குத்) திருப்பி அனுப்புவாயாக!” என்று கூறுவான்.

முடிவாக, அவர்களில் ஒருவருக்கு மரணம் வந்துவிடுமானால் (அவன் தன் இரட்சகனிடம்) “என் இரட்சகனே! என்னை (உலகத்திற்கு)த் திருப்பி அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக” என்று கூறுவான்.

Until when death comes to one of them, he says, “My Lord, send me back,

LaAAallee aAAmalu salihan feema taraktu kalla innaha kalimatun huwa qailuha wamin waraihim barzakhun ila yawmi yubAAathoona

"So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks; and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected.

That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.

நான் விட்டு வந்த அ(ந்த உலகத்)தில் (இனி) நல்ல காரியங்களையே நான் செய்து கொண்டிருப்பேன்" என்று கூறுவான். (எனினும்,) அது ஆகக்கூடிய காரியமன்று. (இத்தகைய சந்தர்ப்பங்களில்) அவன் கூறக்கூடியது வெறும் வார்த்தையே (யன்றி வேறில்லை.) அவர்களுக்கு முன் ஓர் அரண் ஏற்பட்டு விடும். (உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்பப்படும் நாள் வரையில் அதில் தங்கிவிடுவார்கள்.

“நான் விட்டுவந்ததில் நல்ல காரியங்களைச் செய்வதற்காக” (என்றும் கூறுவான்). அவ்வாறில்லை! அவன் கூறுவது வெறும் வார்த்தையே(யன்றி வேறில்லை) அவர்கள் எழுப்பப்படும் நாள்வரையும் அவர்கள் முன்னே ஒரு திரையிருக்கிறது.

“உலகில் நான் விட்டு வந்ததில், (இனி) நல்ல காரியங்களைச் செய்வதற்காக” (என்றும் கூறுவான்.) அவ்வாறன்று! நிச்சயமாக அது – அவன் அதைக் கூறக்கூடிய (வெறும்) ஒரு வார்த்தையாகும், இன்னும், அவர்கள் (மறுமைக்காக) எழுப்பப்படும் நாள்வரை அவர்கள் முன்னே தடுப்பு இருக்கிறது (அதனால் அவர்கள் உலகுக்குத் திரும்பிவர ஆற்றல் பெறமாட்டார்கள்).

so that I may do righteous deeds in what I left behind.” No, it is only a word he utters. And behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.

Faitha nufikha fee alssoori fala ansaba baynahum yawmaithin wala yatasaaloona

Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another.

So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another.

சூர் (எக்காளம்) ஊதப்பட்டு விட்டால், அந்நாளில் அவர்களுக்கிடையில் பந்துத்துவம் இருக்காது. ஒருவரின் (சுக துக்க) செய்தியை மற்றொருவர் விசாரிக்கவும் மாட்டார். (தத்தம் கவலையே பெரிதாக இருக்கும்.)

எனவே ஸூர் (எக்காளம்) ஊதப்பட்டு விட்டால், அந்நாளில் அவர்களுக்கிடையே பந்துத்துவங்கள் இருக்காது; ஒருவருக்கொருவர் விசாரித்துக் கொள்ளவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

ஆகவே சூர் (குழல்), ஊதப்பட்டால், அந்நாளில் அவர்களுக்கிடையில் பந்தங்கள் (பயனளிப்பது) இல்லை, ஒருவரின் செய்தியை மற்றொருவர் விசாரிக்கவும் மாட்டார்கள், (ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் அவரவர் கவலையே பெரிதாக இருக்கும்).

When the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship ties between them on that Day, nor will they ask about one another.

Faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faolaika humu almuflihoona

Then, those whose Scales (of good deeds) are heavy, these! they are the successful.

And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful.

எவர்களுடைய நன்மையின் எடை கணக்கிறதோ அவர்கள்தாம் வெற்றி அடைவார்கள்.

எவருடைய (நன்மைகளின்) எடைகள் கனமாக இருக்கின்றனவோ அவர்கள் தாம் வெற்றியாளர்கள்.

எவர்களுடைய (நன்மையின்) எடைகள் கனமாக இருக்கின்றனவோ அவர்கள்தாம் வெற்றியாளர்கள்.

So those whose scales [of good deeds] are heavy, it is they who will be successful.

Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faolaika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fee jahannama khalidoona

And those whose Scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their own selves, in Hell will they abide.

But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally.

எவர்களுடைய (நன்மையின்) எடை குறைகின்றதோ அவர்கள் தமக்குத் தாமே நஷ்டத்தை உண்டுபண்ணிக் கொண்டு எந்நாளுமே நரகத்தில் தங்கிவிடுவார்கள்.

ஆனால், எவருடைய (நன்மைகளின்) எடைகள் இலேசாக இருக்கின்றனவோ, அவர்கள் தாம் தங்களையே நஷ்டப்படுத்திக் கொண்டவர்கள்; அவர்கள் தாம் நரகத்தில் நிரந்தரமானவர்கள்.

இன்னும் எவர்களுடைய (நன்மையின்) எடைகள் கனம் குறைந்து இருக்கின்றனவோ, அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குத் தாங்களே நஷ்டத்தையுண்டு பண்ணிக் கொண்டவர்கள் (அவர்கள்) நரகத்தில் நிரந்தரமாக (த்தங்கி) இருப்பவர்கள்.

But those whose scales are light, they are the ones who have lost their souls, abiding in Hell forever.

Talfahu wujoohahumu alnnaru wahum feeha kalihoona

The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin with displaced lips (disfigured).

The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles.

அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை (நரகத்தின்) நெருப்புப் பொசுக்கும். அவர்களுடைய (உதடுகளெல்லாம் வெந்து சுருண்டு) முகம் விகாரமாக இருக்கும்.

(நரக) நெருப்பு அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை கரிக்கும்; இன்னும் அதில் அவர்கள் உதடு சுருண்டு (முகம் விகாரமானவர்களாக) இருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை (நரகத்தின்) நெருப்புப் பொசுக்கும், அதில் அவர்கள் விகாரமானவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

The Fire will scorch their faces, leaving them disfigured.

Alam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum biha tukaththiboona

"Were not My Verses (this Qur'ân) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?"

[It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?"

(அவர்களை நோக்கி) "உங்கள் மீது நம்முடைய வசனங்கள் ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்படவில்லையா? அவற்றை நீங்கள் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டே இருந்தீர்கள்" (என்று கூறப்படும்.)

“என்னுடைய வசனங்கள் உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்படவில்லையா? அப்போது நீங்கள் அவற்றைப் பொய்ப்பிக்கலானீர்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்)

“என்னுடைய வசனங்கள் உங்கள் மீது ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்படவில்லையா? அப்போது அவற்றை நீங்கள் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்” (என்று அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்.)

“Were not My verses recited to you, and you used to reject them?”

Qaloo rabbana ghalabat AAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena

They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people.

They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.

அதற்கவர்கள் "எங்கள் இறைவனே! எங்களுடைய துரதிர்ஷ்டம் எங்களை மீறிவிட்டது. ஆதலால் நாங்கள் தவறான வழியில் சென்றுவிட்டோம்" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

“எங்கள் இறைவனே! எங்களை எங்களுடைய துர்பாக்கியம் மிகைத்துவிட்டது; நாங்கள் வழிதவறிய கூட்டத்தினர் ஆகிவிட்டோம்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! எங்களுடைய துர்பாக்கியம் எங்கள் மீது மிகைத்துவிட்டது, (ஆதலால்) நாங்கள் வழி தவறிவிட்ட சமூகத்தவராகவும் இருந்துவிட்டோம்” என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

They will say, “Our Lord, our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we were a people who went astray.

Rabbana akhrijna minha fain AAudna fainna thalimoona

"Our Lord! Bring us out of this. If ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zâlimûn (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong doers)."

Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers."

(அன்றி) "எங்கள் இறைவனே! இ(ந்த நரகத்)திலிருந்து எங்களை வெளிப்படுத்திவிடு. (பாவம் செய்ய) பின்னும் முற்பட்டால் நாங்கள் மகா அநியாயக்காரர்களாகி விடுவோம்" (என்பார்கள்).

“எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ எங்களை இ(ந் நரகத்)தை விட்டு வெளியேற்றுவாயாக! திரும்பவும் (நாங்கள் பாவம் செய்ய) முற்பட்டால் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அநியாயக்காரர்கள்!” (என்றும் கூறுவர்.)

(அன்றி) “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! இந்த நரகத்)திலிருந்து எங்களை வெளியேற்றி விடுவாயாக! பின்னர் நாங்கள் (திரும்பவும் பாவம் செய்ய) மீண்டால் நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அநியாயக்காரர்கள்” (என்பார்கள்.)

Our Lord, take us out of this; if we ever return, we will certainly be wrongdoers.”

Qala ikhsaoo feeha wala tukallimooni

He (Allâh) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!"

He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.

அதற்கவன் "அதிலேயே சிறுமைப்பட்டுக் கிடங்கள். நீங்கள் என்னுடன் பேசாதீர்கள்" என்று கூறுவான்.

(அதற்கவன்) “அதிலேயே இழிந்து கிடங்கள்; என்னுடன் பேசாதீர்கள்!” என்று கூறுவான்.

(அதற்கு) அவன், “அதிலேயே சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களாகக் கிடங்கள், என்னிடம் நீங்கள் பேசாதீர்கள்” என்று கூறுவான்.

Allah will say, “Stay therein despised, and do not speak to Me.

Innahu kana fareequn min AAibadee yaqooloona rabbana amanna faighfir lana wairhamna waanta khayru alrrahimeena

Verily, there was a party of My slaves who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!"

Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.'

நிச்சயமாக நம்முடைய அடியார்களில் ஒரு வகுப்பார் இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் (என்னை நோக்கி) "எங்கள் இறைவனே! நாங்கள் (உன்னை நம்பிக்கை கொள்கிறோம். நீ எங்களுடைய குற்றங்களை மன்னித்து, எங்கள் மீது அருள் புரிவாயாக! அருள் புரிபவர்களிளெல்லாம் நீ மிக்க மேலானவன்" என்று பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

நிச்சயமாக என்னுடைய அடியார்களில் ஒரு பிரிவினர் “எங்கள் இறைவா! நாங்கள் உன் மீது ஈமான் கொள்கிறோம்; நீ எங்கள் குற்றங்களை மன்னித்து, எங்கள் மீது கிருபை செய்வாயாக! கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் நீ மிகவும் மேலானவன்” என்று பிரார்த்திப்பவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

நிச்சயமாக, என்னுடைய அடியார்களில் ஒரு பிரிவினர் “எங்கள் இரட்சகனே! நாங்கள் (உன்னை) விசுவாசம் கொண்டோம்; ஆகவே, நீ எங்களுடைய குற்றங்களை மன்னித்து விடுவாயாக!; மேலும், எங்களுக்குக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! கிருபை செய்வோரிலெல்லாம் நீயே மிக்க மேலானவன்” என்று பிரார்த்தித்துக் கூறுபவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

There was a group of My slaves who used to pray, ‘Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.’

Faittakhathtumoohum sikhriyyan hatta ansawkum thikree wakuntum minhum tadhakoona

But you took them for a laughing stock, so much so that they made you forget My remembrance while you used to laugh at them!

But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

ஆனால் "நீங்களோ என்னை முற்றிலும் மறந்துவிட்டு அவர்களைப் பரிகசித்து அவர்களைப் பற்றிச் சிரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்கள்.

அப்போது நீங்கள் அவர்களைப் பரிகாசத்திற்கு உரியவர்களாக ஆக்கிக் கொண்டீர்கள், எது வரையெனின் என் நினைவே உங்களுக்கு மறக்கலாயிற்று; இன்னும் அவர்களைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் ஏளனமாக நகைத்துக் கொண்டும் இருந்தீர்கள்.

அப்போது என்னை நினைவு கூருவதை விட்டும் உங்களை அவர்கள் மறக்கச் செய்யும் வரை அவர்களை நீங்கள் பரிகாசமாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டீர்கள், இன்னும், நீங்கள் அவர்கள் பற்றி சிரித்துக் கொண்டுமிருந்தீர்கள்.

But you took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.

Innee jazaytuhumu alyawma bima sabaroo annahum humu alfaizoona

Verily, I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful.

Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."

(உங்கள் பரிகாசத்தை) அவர்கள் சகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்ததன் காரணமாக இன்றைய தினம் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களுக்கு நற்கூலி கொடுத்தோம். மெய்யாகவே அவர்கள்தாம் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்கள்" (என்றும் இறைவன் கூறுவான்).

நிச்சயமாக, அவர்கள் பொறுமையாய் இருந்ததற்காக அவர்களுக்கு நான் (அதற்குரிய) நற்கூலியைக் கொடுத்திருக்கின்றேன்; நிச்சயமாக அவர்களே வெற்றியாளர்கள்!”

“(உங்கள் பரிகாசத்தைப் பற்றிக் கவலைகொள்ளாது) அவர்கள் பொறுமையாக இருந்ததன் காரணமாக, இன்றயைத்தினம் நிச்சயமாக நான் அவர்களுக்கு (நற்)கூலி கொடுத்துவிட்டேன், நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள்தாம் வெற்றி பெற்றோர்” (என்றும் அல்லாஹ் கூறுவான்.)

I have rewarded them Today for their patience; it is they who are the successful.”

Qala kam labithtum fee alardi AAadada sineena

He (Allâh) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?"

[Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?"

அன்றி "நீங்கள் பூமியில் எத்தனை வருடங்கள் இருந்தீர்கள்?" எனக் கேட்பான்.

“ஆண்டுகளின் எண்ணிக்கையில் நீங்கள் பூமியில் எவ்வளவு (காலம்) இருந்தீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்பான்.

“ஆண்டுகளின் எண்ணிக்கையால் நீங்கள் பூமியில் எவ்வளவு காலம் தங்கியிருந்தீர்கள்?” என்று அவன் கேட்பான்.

He will say, “How many years did you stay on earth?”

Qaloo labithna yawman aw baAAda yawmin faisali alAAaddeena

They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account."

They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."

அதற்கவர்கள் "ஒரு நாள் அல்லது ஒரு நாளில் சிறிது பாகம் தங்கியிருந்திருப்போம். (இதைப்பற்றி) கணக்கு வைத்திருப்பவர்களை நீ கேட்பாயாக!" எனக் கூறுவார்கள்.

“ஒரு நாள் அல்லது ஒரு நாளின் சிறிது பாகம் நாங்கள் தங்கியிருந்திருப்போம். (இதைப்பற்றிக்) கணிப்பவர்களிடம் நீ கேட்பாயாக!” என்று அவர்கள் கூறுவார்கள்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “ஒரு நாள், அல்லது ஒரு நாளில் சிறிது பாகம் தங்கியிருந்திருப்போம், (ஆகவே) கணக்கு வைத்திருப்பவர்களை நீ கேட்பாயாக!” எனக் கூறுவார்கள்.

They will say, “We stayed for a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count.”

Qala in labithtum illa qaleelan law annakum kuntum taAAlamoona

He (Allâh) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known!

He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known.

அதற்கவன் "ஒரு சொற்ப காலத்தைத் தவிர (பூமியில் அதிக காலம்) நீங்கள் தங்கவில்லை. இதை முன்னதாகவே நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?" என்று கூறுவான்.

“ஒரு சொற்ப காலம் தவிர (பூமியில் அதிகம்) நீங்கள் தங்கவில்லை. நீங்கள் (இதை) அறிந்திருந்தால்!” என்று (இறைவன்) கூறுவான்.

அ(தற்க)வன் “ஒரு சொற்ப காலத்தைத் தவிர நீங்கள் தங்கவில்லை, (இதை முன்னதாகவே) நீங்கள் அறிந்திருந்தால்” (இதைப் பற்றித் தெரிந்திருப்பீர்கள்) என்று கூறுவான்.

Allah will say, “You only stayed for a while, if only you had known.

Afahasibtum annama khalaqnakum AAabathan waannakum ilayna la turjaAAoona

"Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"

Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"

("என்னே!) நாம் உங்களை படைத்ததெல்லாம் வீணுக்காக என்றும், நீங்கள் நம்மிடம் கொண்டு வரப்படமாட்டீர்கள் என்றும் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களா?" (என்று கேட்பான்.)

“நாம் உங்களைப் படைத்ததெல்லாம் வீணுக்காக என்றும், நீங்கள் நம்மிடத்தில் நிச்சயமாக மீட்டப்பட மாட்டீர்கள் என்றும் எண்ணிக் கொண்டீர்களா?” (என்றும் இறைவன் கேட்பான்.)

“உங்களை நாம் படைத்ததெல்லாம் வீணுக்காகத்தான் என்றும், நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நம்மிடம் மீட்டப்படமாட்டிர்கள் என்றும் நீங்கள் எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களா?” (என்று கூறுவான்.)

Did you think that We created you with no purpose, and that you would not be brought back to Us?”

FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alkareemi

So Exalted is Allâh, the True King: Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!

So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

ஆகவே, மெய்யான அரசனாகிய அல்லாஹ் மிக்க உயர்ந்தவன். அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய இறைவன் இல்லை. கண்ணியமிக்க அர்ஷுக்குச் சொந்தக்காரன் அவனே!

ஆகவே, உண்மையில் அரசனான அல்லாஹ், மிக உயர்ந்தவன்; அவனைத் தவிர நாயனில்லை. கண்ணியமிக்க அர்ஷின் இறைவன் அவனே!

ஆகவே, உண்மையான அரசனாகிய அல்லாஹ் மிக்க உயர்ந்தவன், அவனைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரிய (வேறு) நாயன் இல்லை, (அவன்) கண்ணியத்திற்குரிய (அழகான தோற்றமுடைய) அர்ஷின் இரட்சகன்.

Exalted is Allah, the True Sovereign! None has the right to be worshiped except Him, the Lord of the Honorable Throne.

Waman yadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara la burhana lahu bihi fainnama hisabuhu AAinda rabbihi innahu la yuflihu alkafiroona

And whoever invokes (or worships) besides Allâh, any other ilâh (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely, Al-Kâfirûn (the disbelievers in Allâh and in the Oneness of Allâh, polytheists, pagans, idolaters) will not be successful.

And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

(நபியே!) எவன் அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு இறைவனை (வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன் என) அழைக்கின்றானோ அவனிடத்தில் அதற்குரிய யாதொரு அத்தாட்சியும் இல்லை. அவனுடைய (பாவக்) கணக்கு அவனுடைய இறைவனிடத்தில்தான் (தீர்க்கப்படும்). நிச்சயமாக (உண்மையை) நிராகரிக்கும் இத்தகையவர் வெற்றி பெறமாட்டார்கள்.

மேலும், எவன் அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு நாயனைப் பிரார்த்திக்கிறானோ அவனுக்கு அதற்காக எவ்வித ஆதாரமும் இல்லை; அவனுடைய கணக்கு அவனுடைய இறைவனிடம்தான் இருக்கிறது; நிச்சயமாக காஃபிர்கள் வெற்றி அடைய மாட்டார்கள்.

மேலும் - (நபியே!) எவன் - அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு நாயனை (வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன் என) அழைக்கிறானோ அவனிடத்தில் அதைப்பற்றி யாதொரு சான்றும் இல்லை. அவனுடைய கணக்கெல்லாம் அவனுடைய இரட்சகனிடத்தில்தான் உண்டு, நிச்சயமாக நிராகரிக்கக்கூடியவர்கள் வெற்றி பெறமாட்டார்கள்.

Whoever supplicates another god besides Allah, for which he has no proof, his reckoning will be with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will never succeed.

Waqul rabbi ighfir wairham waanta khayru alrrahimeena

And say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!"

And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: என் இறைவனே! நீ (என்னை) மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! கிருபை செய்பவர்களிளெல்லாம் நீதான் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

இன்னும், “என் இறைவனே! நீ என்னை மன்னித்துக் கிருபை செய்வாயாக! நீ தான் கிருபையாளர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் பிரார்த்திப்பீராக!

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக “என் இரட்சகனே! நீ (என்னை) மன்னிப்பாயாக! கிருபையும் செய்வாயாக! கிருபை செய்பவர்களில் நீயே மிகச் சிறந்தவன்”.

Say, “My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the Best of those who show mercy.”
