22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage)

Ya ayyuha alnnasu ittaqoo rabbakum inna zalzalata alssaAAati shayon AAatheemun

O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing.

O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.

மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனுக்குப் பயப்படுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக விசாரணை நாளின் அதிர்ச்சி மிக்க கடுமையானது.

மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய இறைவனை பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; நிச்சயமாக (கியாமத்து நாளாகிய) அவ்வேளையின் அதிர்ச்சி, மகத்தான பெரும் நிகழ்ச்சியாகும்.

மனிதர்களே! நீங்கள் உங்கள் இரட்சகனை பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், நிச்சயமாக மறுமை நாளின் அதிர்ச்சி மகத்தானதாகும்.

O mankind, fear your Lord; the earthquake of the Hour is something dreadful.

Yawma tarawnaha tathhalu kullu murdiAAatin AAamma ardaAAat watadaAAu kullu thati hamlin hamlaha watara alnnasa sukara wama hum bisukara walakinna AAathaba Allahi shadeedun

The Day you shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will drop her load, and you shall see mankind as in a drunken state, yet they will not be drunken, but severe will be the torment of Allâh.

On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.

அந்நாளில் பாலூட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு தாயும், தான் ஊட்டும் குழந்தையை மறந்து விடுவதையும் ஒவ்வொரு கர்ப்பினிப் பெண்ணிண் கருவும் சிதைந்து விடுவதையும் நீங்கள் காண்பீர்கள். (நபியே!) மனிதர்களை மதி மயங்கியவர்களாக நீங்கள் காண்பீர்கள். அவர்கள் (மதியிழக்கும் காரணம்) போதையினாலன்று. அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதனை மிக்க கடினமானது. (அதனைக் கண்டு திடுக்கிட்டு அவர்கள் மதியிழந்து விடுவார்கள்.)

அந்நாளில், பாலூட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு தாயும் தான் ஊட்டும் குழந்தையை மறந்து விடுவதையும், ஒவ்வொரு கர்ப்பிணியும் தன் சுமையை ஈன்று விடுவதையும் நீங்கள் காண்பீர்கள்; மேலும், மனிதர்களை மதி மயங்கியவர்களாக இருக்க காண்பீர்; எனினும் (அது மதுவினால் ஏற்பட்ட) மதி மயக்கமல்ல; ஆனால் அல்லாஹ்வின் வேதனை மிகக் கடுமையானதாகும்.

அதனை நீங்கள் காணும் அந்நாளில், பாலூட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒவ்வொருத்தியும், தான் பாலூட்டியதை (குழந்தையை) மறந்து விடுவாள், கர்ப்பமுடைய ஒவ்வொருத்தியும் தன் சுமையை வைத்துவிடுவாள், மேலும் மனிதர்களை (பீதியின் கடுமையால்) மதி மயக்கம் கொண்டவர்களாக இருக்க நீர் காண்பீர், அவர்கள் (மதுவினால்) மதி மயங்கியவர்களும் அல்லர், எனினும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வேதனை மிகக் கடினமானதாகும்.

On the Day when you see it, every nursing mother will abandon her baby, and every pregnant woman will miscarry. You will see people as though they are drunk, while they are not drunk, but the punishment of Allah is severe.

Wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wayattabiAAu kulla shaytanin mareedin

And among mankind is he who disputes concerning Allâh, without knowledge, and follows every rebellious (disobedient to Allâh) Shaitân (devil) (devoid of every kind of good).

And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.

மனிதர்களில் பலர் ஏதும் அறியாமலிருந்துகொண்டே அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கித்து வரம்பு மீறும் ஷைத்தான்களையே பின்பற்றுகின்றனர்.

இன்னும், எத்தகைய கல்வி ஞானமும் இல்லாமல் அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கம் செய்கிறவர்களும், மனமுரண்டாய் எதிர்க்கும் ஒவ்வொரு ஷைத்தானையும் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களும் மனிதர்களில் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

மேலும், அறிவின்றி அல்லாஹ்வுடைய விஷயத்தில் தர்க்கம் செய்கின்றவரும், மனமுரண்டான ஒவ்வொரு ஷைத்தானைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவரும் மனிதர்களில் (சிலர்) இருக்கின்றனர்.

There are some people who dispute concerning Allah without knowledge, and they follow every rebellious devil.

Kutiba AAalayhi annahu man tawallahu faannahu yudilluhu wayahdeehi ila AAathabi alssaAAeeri

For him (the devil) it is decreed that whosoever follows him, he will mislead him, and will drive him to the torment of the Fire. (Tafsir At-Tabarî)

It has been decreed for every devil that whoever turns to him - he will misguide him and will lead him to the punishment of the Blaze.

எவன் (ஷைத்தானாகிய) அவனை சிநேகிதனாக எடுத்துக் கொள்கிறானோ அவன் அவனை நிச்சயமாக வழிகெடுத்துக் கொடிய வேதனையின் பக்கமே செலுத்திவிடுவான் என்று விதிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது.

அவனை (ஷைத்தானை)ப் பற்றி எழுதப் பட்டுள்ளது; எவர் அவனை நண்பனாக எடுத்துக் கொள்கிறாரோ அவரை நிச்சயமாக அவன் வழி கெடுத்து எரி நரகின் வேதனையின் பால் அவருக்கு வழி காட்டுகிறான்.

நிச்சயமாக எவன் (ஷைத்தானாகிய) அவனை நண்பனாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்கிறானோ, நிச்சயமாக காரியம் அவன், இவனை (ஷைத்தானாகிய) அவன் வழிகெடுத்து, நரக வேதனையின் பக்கமே செலுத்திவிடுவான் என்று (ஷைத்தானாகிய) அவன்மீது விதியாக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

It has been decreed that whoever takes him as an ally, he will misguide him and lead him to the punishment of the Blazing Fire.

Ya ayyuha alnnasu in kuntum fee raybin mina albaAAthi fainna khalaqnakum min turabin thumma min nutfatin thumma min AAalaqatin thumma min mudghatin mukhallaqatin waghayri mukhallaqatin linubayyina lakum wanuqirru fee alarhami ma nashao ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum tiflan thumma litablughoo ashuddakum waminkum man yutawaffa waminkum man yuraddu ila arthali alAAumuri likayla yaAAlama min baAAdi AAilmin shayan watara alarda hamidatan faitha anzalna AAalayha almaa ihtazzat warabat waanbatat min kulli zawjin baheejin

O mankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily, We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge, i.e. the offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh – some formed and some unformed (as in the case of miscarriage) – that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), and it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth).

O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

மனிதர்களே! (மறுமையில் உங்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்புவதைப் பற்றி நீங்கள் சந்தேகம் கொண்டால் (உங்களை முதலில் எவ்வாறு படைத்தோம் என்பதைக் கவனியுங்கள்.) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை (உங்கள் மூலப் பிதாவாகிய ஆதமை) மண்ணில் இருந்தே (படைத்துப்) பின்னர் இந்திரியத் துளியிலிருந்து, பின்னர் அதனை ஓர் இரத்தக் கட்டியாகவும், பின்னர் (அதனை) குறைவடிவ அல்லது முழு வடிவ மாமிசப் பிண்டமாகவும் (நாம் உற்பத்தி செய்கிறோம். நம்முடைய வல்லமையை) உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக்கும் பொருட்டே (இவ்வாறு படிப்படியாகப் பல மாறுதல்களை அடைய) ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட காலம் வரையில் தங்கி இருக்கும்படி செய்கிறோம். பின்னர், உங்களைச் சிசுக்களாக வெளிப்படுத்தி நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாலிபத்தை அடையும்படிச் செய்கிறோம். (இதற்கிடையில்) இறந்து விடுபவர்களும் உங்களில் பலர் இருக்கின்றனர். (அல்லது வாழ்ந்து) அனைத்தையும் அறிந்த பின்னர் ஒன்றுமே அறியாதவர்களைப்போல் ஆகிவிடக் கூடிய தள்ளாத வயது வரையில் விட்டு வைக்கப்படுபவர்களும் உங்களில் இருக்கின்றனர். (மனிதனே!) பூமி (புற்பூண்டு ஏதுமின்றி) வறண்டு இருப்பதை நீ காணவில்லையா? அதன் மீது நாம் மழையை பொழியச் செய்தால், அது பசுமையாகி வளர்ந்து அழகான பற்பல வகை (ஜோடி ஜோடி)யான உயர்ந்த புற்பூண்டுகளை முளைப்பிக்கிறது.

மனிதர்களே! (இறுதித் தீர்ப்புக்காக நீங்கள்) மீண்டும் எழுப்பப்படுவது பற்றி சந்தேகத்தில் இருந்தீர்களானால், (அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்;) நாம் நிச்சயமாக உங்களை (முதலில்) மண்ணிலிருந்தும் பின்னர் இந்திரியத்திலிருந்தும், பின்பு அலக்கிலிருந்தும்; பின்பு உருவாக்கப்பட்டதும், உருவாக்கப்படாததுமான தசைக் கட்டியிலிருந்தும் படைத்தோம்; உங்களுக்கு விளக்குவதற்காகவே (இதனை விவரிக்கிறோம்): மேலும், நாம் நாடியவற்றை ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட காலம் வரை கருப்பப்பையில் தங்கச் செய்கிறோம்; பின்பு உங்களை குழந்தையாக வெளிப்படுத்துகிறோம். பின்பு நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாலிபத்தை அடையும்படிச் செய்கிறோம். அன்றியும், (இதனிடையில்) உங்களில் சிலர் மரிப்பவர்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; (ஜீவித்து) அறிவு பெற்ற பின்னர் ஒன்றுமே அறியாதவர்களைப் போல் ஆகிவிடக்கூடிய தளர்ந்த வயது வரை விட்டுவைக்கப்படுபவர்களும் இருக்கிறார்கள்; இன்னும், நீங்கள (தரிசாய்க் கிடக்கும்) வரண்ட பூமியைப் பார்க்கின்றீர்கள்; அதன் மீது நாம் (மழை) நீரைப் பெய்யச் செய்வோமானால் அது பசுமையாகி, வளர்ந்து, அழகான (ஜோடி ஜோடியாகப்) பல்வகைப் புற்பூண்டுகளை முளைப்பிக்கிறது.

மனிதர்களே! (இறந்தபின் உங்களுக்கு உயிர்கொடுத்து) எழுப்புவதைப்பற்றி நீங்கள் சந்தேகத்தில் இருந்தால், (அதுபற்றித் தெரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.) நிச்சயமாக உங்களை (ஆரம்பமாக) மண்ணிலிருந்தும், பின்னர் (உங்களை) ஒரு துளி இந்திரியத்திலிருந்தும், பின்னர் இரத்தக்கட்டியிலிருந்தும், பின்னர் (நிறைவாக உருவம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு) படைக்கப்பட்ட, (அல்லது நிறைவாக உருவம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு) படைக்கப்படாத தசைக்கட்டியிலிருந்தும் நாம் படைத்தோம்; (என்று நம் ஆற்றலை) உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவு செய்வதற்காகவே (இவ்வாறு விளக்குகிறோம்.) மேலும், நாம் நாடியவைகளைக் கர்ப்பப்பைகளில் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட காலம் வரையில் (நிலைப்படுத்தி) தங்கிவிடும்படிச் செய்கிறோம், பின்னர் உங்களைக் குழந்தையாக நாம் வெளிப்படுத்துகிறோம், பின்பு உங்கள் வாலிபத்தை நீங்கள் அடைவதற்காக (தக்க வளர்ச்சியைத் தருகிறோம்.) இன்னும் உங்களில் (சிலர் பருவ வயதை அடையுமுன்பே) இறந்து விடுகிறவரும் இருக்கின்றனர், (அல்லது ஜீவித்திருந்து) யாவையும் அறிந்தபின்னர், ஒன்றுமே அறியாதவர்களைப் போல் ஆகிவிடக்கூடிய தளர்ந்த வயது வரையில் (உயிர் வாழ) விட்டு வைக்கப்படுபவரும் உங்களில் இருக்கின்றனர், மேலும், பூமியை வரண்டதாகப் பார்க்கிறீர், அப்பொழுது, அதன் மீது நாம் மழையை இறக்கிவைப்போமானால், அது பசுமையாகி, இன்னும் வளர்ந்து, அழகான ஒவ்வொரு வகையிலிருந்தும் (உயர்ந்த புற்பூண்டுகளை) முளைப்பிக்கின்றது.

O mankind, if you are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then We surely created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh – formed or unformed – so that We may make it clear to you [Our power]. We settle in the wombs whatever We will for an appointed term. Then We bring you out as infants, then [We nurture you] so that you may reach your maturity. Then some of you die, while others are left to reach the decrepit old age so that they may know nothing after having knowledge. You see the land lifeless, then as soon as We send down rain on it, it stirs and swells to life and brings forth every type of pleasant plant.

Thalika bianna Allaha huwa alhaqqu waannahu yuhyee almawta waannahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

That is because Allâh: He is the Truth, and it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who is Able to do all things.

That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் உண்மையான இறைவன். நிச்சயமாக அவன் மரணித்தவர்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்து எழுப்புவான். நிச்சயமாக அவன் அனைத்தின் மீதும் ஆற்றல் உடையவன் என்பதற்கு இதுவே போதுமான (அத்தாட்சியாக இருக்கின்ற)து.

இது ஏனெனில்: நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவனே உண்மையானவன் - (நிலையானவன்) நிச்சயமாக அவனே மரித்தோரை உயிர்ப்பிக்கின்றான் - இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக அவன்தான் எல்லாப் பொருட்களின் மீதும் பேராற்றலுள்ளவன் என்பதனால்.

இது (ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் - அவனே உண்மையானவன், நிச்சயமாக அவன்தான் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின்மீதும் மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவன் என்பதனாலாகும்.

That is because Allah is the Truth; He alone gives life to the dead, and He is Most Capable of all things.

Waanna alssaAAata atiyatun la rayba feeha waanna Allaha yabAAathu man fee alquboori

And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it; and certainly, Allâh will resurrect those who are in the graves.

And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.

விசாரணைக் காலம் நிச்சயமாக வரக்கூடியது. அதில் சந்தேகமேயில்லை. (அந்நாளில்) சமாதிகளில் (புதைந்து) கிடப்பவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்புவான்.

(கியாம நாளுக்குரிய) அவ்வேளை நிச்சயமாக வரும்; இதில் சந்தேகமே இல்லை; மண்ணறைகளில் இருப்போரை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்புவான்.

இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக மறுமை நாள் வரக்கூடியதாகும், அதில் சந்தேகமில்லை; இன்னும், சமாதிகளில் இருப்போரை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (அந்நாளில் உயிர் கொடுத்து) எழுப்புவான் (என்பதினாலுமாகும்.)

The Hour is certainly coming; there is no doubt about it, and Allah will surely resurrect those who are in the graves.

Wamina alnnasi man yujadilu fee Allahi bighayri AAilmin wala hudan wala kitabin muneerin

And among men is he who disputes about Allâh, without knowledge or guidance, or a Book giving light (from Allâh),

And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening book [from Him],

மனிதர்களில் பலர் (இருக்கின்றனர். அவர்கள்) யாதொரு கல்வியும், யாதொரு தர்க்கரீதியான ஆதாரமும், யாதொரு வேத நூலின் தெளிவான ஆதாரமும் இல்லாமலே அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கிக்கின்றனர்.

இன்னும்: கல்வி ஞானமோ, நேர் வழி காட்டியோ, பிரகாசமான வேத (ஆதார)மோ இல்லாமல், அல்லாஹ்வைக் குறித்துத் தர்க்கம் செய்பவனும் மனிதர்களில் இருக்கின்றான்.

“அறிவின்றியும், நேர்வழியின்றியும், பிரகாசமான வேத (ஆதார)மின்றியும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய விஷயத்தில் தர்க்கம் செய்பவர்கள் மனிதர்களில் (சிலர்) இருக்கிறார்கள்.

There are some people who argue about Allah without knowledge, guidance or an enlightening scripture.

Thaniya AAitfihi liyudilla AAan sabeeli Allahi lahu fee alddunya khizyun wanutheequhu yawma alqiyamati AAathaba alhareeqi

Bending his neck in pride (far astray from the path of Allâh), and leading (others) too (far) astray from the path of Allâh. For him there is disgrace in this worldly life, and on the Day of Resurrection We shall make him taste the torment of burning (Fire).

Twisting his neck [in arrogance] to mislead [people] from the way of Allah. For him in the world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the Day of Resurrection the punishment of the Burning Fire [while it is said],

அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையிலிருந்து (மக்களைத்) திருப்பிவிடும் பொருட்டு தன் கழுத்தை திருப்பியவர்களாக (கர்வம் கொண்டு இவ்வாறு தர்க்கிக்கின்றனர்.) இம்மையில் அவர்களுக்கு இழிவுதான். மறுமை நாளிலோ நெருப்பின் வேதனையை அவர்கள் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்வோம்.

(அவன்) அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை விட்டும் மனிதர்களை வழி கெடுப்பதற்காக ஆணவத்தோடு (இவ்வாறு தர்க்கம்) செய்கிறான்; அவனுக்கு இவ்வுலகிலும் இழிவு இருக்கிறது; கியாம நாளில் நாம் அவனை எரிநரகின் வேதனையையும் சுவைக்க செய்வோம்.

அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையிலிருந்து (ஜனங்களைத் திருப்பி) வழி கெடுப்பதற்காக (கர்வங்கொண்டு) தன் கழுத்தைத் திருப்பியவனாக (உண்மையைப் புறக்கணிக்கின்றான்.,) அவனுக்கு இம்மையில் இழிவு இருக்கிறது, மறுமை நாளிலோ, எரிக்கும் (நெருப்பின்) வேதனையை அவனுக்கு நாம் சுவைக்கச் செய்வோம்.

They turn their faces away [in arrogance] to lead people away from Allah’s way. For them there will be disgrace in this world, and on the Day of Resurrection We will make them taste the punishment of the burning fire.

Thalika bima qaddamat yadaka waanna Allaha laysa bithallamin lilAAabeedi

That is because of what your hands have sent forth, and verily, Allâh is not unjust to (His) slaves.

"That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants."

(அங்கு அவர்களை நோக்கிக் கூறப்படும்:) இவை ஏற்கனவே உங்கள் கைகள் செய்தனுப்பிய செயல்களின் பலன்தான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தன் அடியார்களில் எவருக்கும் (தண்டனையைக் கூட்டியோ, நன்மையைக் குறைத்தோ) அநியாயம் செய்பவனன்று.

“உன்னுடைய இரு கரங்களும் முன்னரே அனுப்பியுள்ளதற்காக இது (கூலியாக) இருக்கிறது; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அடியார்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்பவனல்லன்” (என்று அந்நாளில் அவர்களிடம் கூறப்படும்)

“இது, உன்னுடைய இரு கரங்களும் முற்படுத்தி வைத்த (பாவங்களின்) காரணத்தாலும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தன் அடியார்களுக்கு எவ்வகையிலும் ஒரு சிறிதும் அநியாயம் செய்கிறவனல்லன் என்பதினாலுமாகும்” (என அந்நாளில் அவனுக்குக் கூறப்படும்)

“This is because of what your hands have sent forth, and Allah is not unjust to His slaves.”

Wamina alnnasi man yaAAbudu Allaha AAala harfin fain asabahu khayrun itmaanna bihi wain asabathu fitnatun inqalaba AAala wajhihi khasira alddunya waalakhirata thalika huwa alkhusranu almubeenu

And among mankind is he who worships Allâh as it were upon the edge (i.e. in doubt): if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him he turns back on his face (i.e. reverts to disbelief after embracing Islâm). He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.

And of the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.

மனிதரில் பலர் (மதில் மேல் பூனையைப் போல்) உறுதியற்ற நிலைமையில் அல்லாஹ்வை வணங்குகின்றனர். அவர்கள் யாதொரு நன்மை அடையும் பட்சத்தில் அதைக்கொண்டு திருப்தி அடைகின்றனர். அவர்களுக்கு யாதொரு தீங்கேற்பட்டாலோ அவர்கள் தங்கள் முகத்தை (அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும்) திருப்பிக் கொள்கின்றனர். இவர்கள் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் நஷ்டமடைந்து விட்டனர். இதுதான் (சந்தேகமற்ற) தெளிவான பெரும் நஷ்டமாகும்.

இன்னும்: மனிதர்களில் (ஓர் உறுதியும் இல்லாமல்) ஓரத்தில் நின்று கொண்டு அல்லாஹ்வை வணங்குகிறவனும் இருக்கிறான் - அவனுக்கு ஒரு நன்மை ஏற்படுமாயின் அதைக் கொண்டு அவன் திருப்தியடைந்து கொள்கிறான்; ஆனால் அவனுக்கு ஒரு சோதனை ஏற்படுமாயின், அவன் (தன் முகத்தை) அல்லாஹ்வை விட்டும் திருப்பிக் கொள்கிறான்; இத்தகையவன் இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் நஷ்டமடைகிறான் -இதுதான் தெளிவான நஷ்டமாகும்.

இன்னும், மனிதர்களில் (உறுதியின்றி, சந்தேகத்தின்) விளிம்பின் மீதிருந்து (கொண்டு) அல்லாஹ்வை வணங்குகிறவனும் இருக்கிறான், எனவே, அவனுக்கு ஒரு நன்மை ஏற்படுமாயின் அதைக் கொண்டு அவன் திருப்தியடைகிறான், அவனுக்கு ஏதேனும் துன்பம் ஏற்படுமாயின் அவன் தன் முகத்தின் மீது (ஈமானை விட்டும் இறை நிராகரிப்பின்பால்) புரண்டுவிடுகிறான், (இத்தகையவன்) இம்மையிலும் மறுமையிலும் நஷ்டமடைந்து விட்டான், இதுதான் தெளிவான நஷ்டமாகும்.

There are some people who worship Allah on the edge [of faith]: if something good comes to them, they are content; but if they are afflicted with a trial, they turn back, thus losing both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.

YadAAoo min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhu wama la yanfaAAuhu thalika huwa alddalalu albaAAeedu

He calls besides Allâh to that which can neither harm him nor profit him. That is a straying far away.

He invokes instead of Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.

இவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு யாதொரு நன்மையோ தீமையோ செய்ய சக்தியற்ற அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவைகளை (உதவிக்கு) அழைக்கின்றனர். இது வெகுதூரமான(தொரு) வழிகேடாகும்.

அவன், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி, தனக்குத் தீங்கிழைக்க முடியாததையும், இன்னும் தனக்கு நன்மையும் செய்யாததையுமே பிரார்த்திக்கிறான் - இதுதான் நெடிய வழிகேடாகும்.

அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி அவன் தனக்கு தீங்கிழைக்காததையும், இன்னும் தனக்கு பயனளிக்காததையும் (வணங்கி) அழைக்கிறான், அதுவே தெளிவான நஷ்டமாகும்.

They invoke besides Allah what can neither harm nor benefit them. That is the farthest misguidance.

YadAAoo laman darruhu aqrabu min nafAAihi labisa almawla walabisa alAAasheeru

He calls to him whose harm is nearer than his profit; certainly an evil Maulâ (patron) and certainly an evil friend!

He invokes one whose harm is closer than his benefit - how wretched the protector and how wretched the associate.

நன்மை ஏற்படுவதை விட தீங்கு ஏற்படுவது எவர்களால் சாத்தியமாக இருக்கிறதோ அவர்களை இவர்கள் (தங்கள் பாதுகாவலர்கள் என) அழைக்கின்றனர். (இவர்களுடைய) அந்த பாதுகாவலர்களும் கெட்டார்கள்; அவர்களை அண்டி நிற்கும் இவர்களும் கெட்டார்கள்.

எவனது தீமை, அவனது நன்மையை விட மிக நெருங்கியிருக்கிறதோ அவனையே அவன் பிரார்த்திக்கிறான் - திடமாக (அவன் தேடும்) பாதுகாவலனும் கெட்டவன்; (அப்பாதுகாவலனை அண்டி நிற்பவனும்) கெட்ட தோழனே.

எவனுடைய தீங்கு அவனுடைய பயனைவிட மிகச் சமீபமாக இருக்கிறதோ, அவனையே இவன் அழைக்கிறான், திடமாக (அவன் அழைக்கும்) பாதுகாவலன் மிகக் கெட்டவன், (அவனின்) நண்பனும் திடமாக மிகக் கெட்டவன்.

They invoke those whose harm is more likely than their benefit. What a terrible protector and what a terrible associate!

Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu inna Allaha yafAAalu ma yureedu

Truly, Allâh will admit those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds (according to the Qur'ân and the Sunnah) to Gardens underneath which rivers flow (in Paradise). Verily, Allâh does what He wills.

Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He intends.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் சுவனபதிக்குள் புகச்செய்கிறான். அதில் நீரருவிகள் தொடர்ந்து ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருக்கும். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடியதைச் செய்வான்.

நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் ஈமான் கொண்டு (ஸாலிஹான) - நற்செயல் செய்பவர்களை சுவனபதிகளில் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்கிறான்; அவற்றின் கீழே ஆறுகள் ஓடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் - நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடுவதைச் செய்கிறான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்கின்றவர்களைச் சுவனபதிகளில் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்கிறான், அவற்றின் கீழ் ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியதைச் செய்வான்.

Allah will surely admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens under which rivers flow. Allah surely does what He wills.

Man kana yathunnu an lan yansurahu Allahu fee alddunya waalakhirati falyamdud bisababin ila alssamai thumma liyaqtaAA falyanthur hal yuthhibanna kayduhu ma yagheethu

Whoever thinks that Allâh will not help him (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) in this world and in the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and let him strangle himself. Then let him see whether his plan will remove that whereat he rages!

Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?

எவன் (நம்முடைய தூதர் மீது பொறாமை கொண்டு) அவருக்கு அல்லாஹ் இம்மையிலோ மறுமையிலோ நிச்சயமாக உதவி செய்யமாட்டான் என்று (தன்னுடைய பொறாமையின் காரணமாக) எண்ணுகின்றானோ அவன் வீட்டி(ன் முகட்டி)ல் ஒரு கயிற்றைக் கட்டி(ச் சுருக்குப் போட்டு அதில் கழுத்தை மாட்டி) நெரித்துக் கொள்ளட்டும். தான் பொறாமை கொண்ட (அல்லாஹ்வின் உதவியை) தன்னுடைய சூழ்ச்சி மெய்யாகவே போக்கிவிட்டதா? என்று பார்க்கவும்.

எவன் (நம் தூதர் மேல் பொறாமை கொண்டு) அல்லாஹ் அவருக்கு இவ்வுலகிலும் மறுமையிலும் உதவி செய்யமாட்டான் என்று எண்ணுகிறானோ, அவன் ஒரு கயிற்றை வானத்தின் அளவுக்கு நீட்டிப் பின்னர் (நபிக்குக் கிடைத்து வரும் இறையருளைத்) துண்டிக்க (முற்பட)ட்டுமே! இந்த வழி தன்னை ஆத்திர மூட்டச் செய்ததைப் போக்குகிறதா என்று பார்க்கட்டும்!

தூதராகிய அவருக்கு எவன் இம்மையிலும், மறுமையிலும் அல்லாஹ் உதவி செய்யவே மாட்டான் என்று (தன்னுடைய காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சியின் காரணமாக) எண்ணுகின்றானோ அவன், ஒரு கயிற்றை வானத்தின் பால் (அதன் அளவிற்கு) நீட்டவும், பின்னர் (நபிக்கு கிடைத்துவரும் உதவியை தடுக்க முடிந்தால்) அவன் துண்டித்துவிடவும், இப்பொழுது அவனுடைய சூழ்ச்சி அவன் கோபம் கொண்டதைத் திண்ணமாகப் போக்கி விட்டதா என்று (கவனித்துப்) பார்க்கவும்.

Whoever thinks that Allah will never help His Prophet in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and strangle himself, then let him see if his effort can remove what enrages him.

Wakathalika anzalnahu ayatin bayyinatin waanna Allaha yahdee man yureedu

Thus have We sent it (this Qur'ân) down (to Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) as clear signs, evidences and proofs, and surely, Allâh guides whom He wills.

And thus have We sent the Qur'an down as verses of clear evidence and because Allah guides whom He intends.

இவ்வாறு தெளிவான வசனங்களாகவே நாம் (குர்ஆனாகிய) இதனை இறக்கி வைத்தோம். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் விரும்பிய வர்களை (இதன் மூலம்) நேரான வழியில் செலுத்துகின்றான்.

இன்னும், இதே விதமாக நாம் (குர்ஆனை) தெளிவான வசனங்களாக இறக்கியிருக்கின்றோம்; மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களை (இதன் மூலம்) நேர்வழியில் சேர்ப்பான்.

இன்னும், இவ்வாறே தெளிவான வசனங்காளாகவே (குர் ஆனாகிய) இதனை நாம் இறக்கி வைத்தோம், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவர்களையே (இதன் மூலம்) நேர்வழியில் செலுத்துகின்றான்.

This is how We sent down this [Qur’an] as clear verses, and Allah guides whom He wills.

Inna allatheena amanoo waallatheena hadoo waalssabieena waalnnasara waalmajoosa waallatheena ashrakoo inna Allaha yafsilu baynahum yawma alqiyamati inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin shaheedun

Verily, those who believe (in Allâh and in His Messenger Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), and those who are Jews, and the Sabians, and the Christians, and the Majûs (Magians) and those who worship others besides Allâh; truly, Allâh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Verily, Allâh is over all things a Witness.

Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allah - Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, over all things, Witness.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களும், யூதர்களும், ஸாபியீன்களும், கிறிஸ்தவர்களும், (நெருப்பை வணங்கும்) மஜூஸிகளும், இணை வைத்து வணங்குபவர்களும் ஆகிய (ஒவ்வொருவரும், தாங்கள்தாம் நேரான வழியில் இருப்பதாகக் கூறுகின்றனர். எனினும், யார் நேரான வழியில் இருக்கின்றார்கள் என்பதை) இவர்களுக்கிடையில் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மறுமை நாளில் தீர்ப்புக் கூறுவான். (இவர்களுடைய செயல்கள்) அனைத்தையும் அல்லாஹ் நிச்சயமாக பார்த்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கின்றான்.

திடனாக, ஈமான் கொண்டார்களே அவர்களுக்கும்; யூதர்களாகவும், ஸாபியீன்களாகவும், கிறிஸ்தவர்களாகவும், மஜூஸிகளாகவும் ஆனார்களே அவர்களுக்கும், இணைவைப்போராய் இருந்தார்களே அவர்களுக்கும் இடையில் (யார் நேர்வழியில் இருந்தார்கள் என்பது பற்றி) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் கியாம நாளில் தீர்ப்புக் கூறுவான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் சாட்சியமாக இருக்கிறான்.

நிச்சயமாக விசுவாசங்கொண்டார்களே அவர்களும், யூதர்களாக இருந்தார்களே அவர்களும், ஸாபியீன்களும், கிறிஸ்தவர்களும், (நெருப்பை வணங்குபவர்களான) மஜூஸிகளும், இணைவைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தோரும் - (ஆகிய இவர்களில் நேர்வழியில் இருந்தவர்கள் யார் என்பதை) இவர்களுக்கிடையில், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மறுமை நாளில் தீர்ப்பளிப்பான், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் மீதும் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறான். (அவனுக்கு எதுவும் மறைந்ததல்ல)

Indeed, those who believe, those who are Jews, the Sabians, the Christians, the Magians and those who associate partners with Allah – Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection; Allah is Witness over all things.

Alam tara anna Allaha yasjudu lahu man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi waalshshamsu waalqamaru waalnnujoomu waaljibalu waalshshajaru waalddawabbu wakatheerun mina alnnasi wakatheerun haqqa AAalayhi alAAathabu waman yuhini Allahu fama lahu min mukrimin inna Allaha yafAAalu ma yashao

See you not that whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and Ad-Dawâbb [moving (living) creatures, beasts], and many of mankind prostrate themselves to Allâh. But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allâh disgraces, none can honour him. Verily, Allâh does what He wills.

Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.

(நபியே!) வானங்களில் இருப்பவர்களும், பூமியில் இருப்பவர்களும், சூரியனும், சந்திரனும், மலைகளும், மரங்களும், கால்நடைகளும், மனிதரில் ஒரு பெரும் தொகையினரும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுக்குச் சிரம் பணிந்து வணங்குகின்றனர் என்பதை நீங்கள் காணவில்லையா? எனினும், மனிதரில் பெரும்பாலானவர்கள் மீது வேதனையே விதிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது. எவனை அல்லாஹ் இழிவுபடுத்துகிறானோ அவனை ஒருவராலும் கண்ணியப்படுத்த முடியாது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடியதையே செய்கின்றான்.

வானங்களிலுள்ளவர்களும், பூமியிலுள்ளவர்களும், சூரியனும், சந்திரனும், நட்சத்திரங்களும், மலைகளும், மரங்களும், பிராணிகளும், மனிதர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்களும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு ஸுஜூது செய்(து வணங்கு)கின்றன என்பதை நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? இன்னும் அநேகர் மீது வேதனை விதிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது; அன்றியும், எவனை அல்லாஹ் இழிவுபடுத்துகின்றானோ அவனை கண்ணியப்படுத்துபவன் எவனுமில்லை; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியதைச் செய்கிறான்.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் - அவனுக்கு வானங்களிலுள்ளவர்களும், பூமியிலுள்ளவர்களும், சூரியனும், சந்திரனும், நட்சத்திரங்களும், மலைகளும், மரங்களும், (பூமியின் மீது) ஊர்ந்து திரியும் பிராணிகளும், மனிதர்களில் அதிகமானோரும் சிரம்பணிந்து வணங்குகின்றனர் என்பதை நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? இன்னும், பெரும்பாலோர் அவர்கள் மீது வேதனை விதியாகிவிட்டது, மேலும், அல்லாஹ் யாரை இழிவு படுத்துகின்றானோ அவனை கண்ணியப்படுத்துபவர் எவருமில்லை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், தான் நாடியதைச் செய்வான்.

Do you not see that to Allah prostrate all those who are in the heavens and all those on earth: the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures, and many humans? But there are many on whom the punishment has become due. Whoever Allah disgraces, none can honor him. Allah surely does what He wills.

Hathani khasmani ikhtasamoo fee rabbihim faallatheena kafaroo quttiAAat lahum thiyabun min narin yusabbu min fawqi ruoosihimu alhameemu

These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord; then as for those who disbelieved, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.

These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water

(இறைவனுக்கு கட்டுப்படுபவர்கள், இறைவனுக்கு மாறு செய்பவர்கள் ஆகிய) இவ்விரு வகுப்பாரும் தங்கள் இறைவனைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். ஆகவே, அவர்களில் எவர்கள் (உண்மையான இறைவனை) நிராகரிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு நெருப்பினால் ஆன ஆடை தயார் செய்யப் பட்டிருக்கிறது. (அக்கினியைப் போல்) கொதித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் தண்ணீர் அவர்களுடைய தலைகளின் மீது ஊற்றப்படும்.

(முஃமின்களும், முஃமின்களல்லாதவருமான) இரு தரப்பாரும் தம் இறைவனைப் பற்றித் தர்க்கிக்கின்றனர்; ஆனால் எவர் (இறைவனை) நிராகரிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு நெருப்பிலிருந்து ஆடைகள் தயாரிக்கப்படும்; கொதிக்கும் நீர் அவர்கள் தலைகளின் மேல் ஊற்றப்படும்.

(விசுவாசிகளும், நிராகரிக்கும் காஃபிர்களும் ஆகிய) இவ்விரு வழக்காளிகள் தங்கள் இரட்சகனைப்பற்றி தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர், ஆகவே, நிராகரிக்கின்றார்களே அவர்கள்-நெருப்பு ஆடைகள் அவர்களுக்கு வெட்டி வைக்கப்பட்டு (தயார் படுத்தப்பட்டு) இருக்கின்றன, (அக்கினியைப் போல்) கொதித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் தண்ணீர் அவர்களின் தலைகளின் மீது ஊற்றப்படும்.

These are two opponents who are in dispute about their Lord. As for the disbelievers, garments of Fire will be tailored for them, and scalding water will be poured over their heads,

Yusharu bihi ma fee butoonihim waaljuloodu

With it will melt (or vanish away) what is within their bellies, as well as (their) skins.

By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins.

அவர்களுடைய வயிற்றினுள் இருக்கும் குடல்களும் (தேகத்தின் மேல் இருக்கும்) தோல்களும் அதனால் உருகிவிடும்.

அதைக் கொண்டு அவர்களுடைய வயிறுகளிலுள்ளவையும், தோல்களும் உருக்கப்படும்.

அதனால் அவர்களுடைய வயிறுகளில் இருப்பவைகளும், (அவர்களின்) தோல்களும் உருக்கப்பட்டு வடிந்து விடும்.

melting all that is in their bellies and their skins.

Walahum maqamiAAu min hadeedin

And for them are hooked rods of iron (to punish them).

And for [striking] them are maces of iron.

அவர்களுக்காக இரும்புச் சம்மட்டிகளுண்டு. (அதனைக் கொண்டு அவர்களை அடிக்கப்படும்.)

இன்னும் அவர்களுக்காக இரும்பினாலான தண்டங்களும் உண்டு.

அவர்களுக்காக இரும்பினால் (ஆன) சம்மட்டிகளுமுண்டு. (அவைகளைக் கொண்டு அவர்கள் அடிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.)

And for [striking] them there will be maces of iron.

Kullama aradoo an yakhrujoo minha min ghammin oAAeedoo feeha wathooqoo AAathaba alhareeqi

Every time they seek to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be driven back therein, and (it will be) said to them: "Taste the torment of burning!"

Every time they want to get out of Hellfire from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"

இத்துயர(மான நரக)த்திலிருந்து அவர்கள் வெளிப்படக் கருதி முயற்சிக்கும்போதெல்லாம் அதில் அவர்கள் தள்ளப்பட்டு "எரிக்கும் (நெருப்பு) வேதனையைச் சுவைத்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள்" (எனவும் கூறப்படும்).

(இந்த) துக்கத்தினால் அவர்கள் அ(ந் நரகத்)தை விட்டு வெளியேற விரும்பும் போதெல்லாம், அதனுள்ளே திருப்பப்பட்டு, “எரிக்கும் வேதனையைச் சுவையுங்கள்” (என்று சொல்லப்படும்).

துக்கத்தால், (நரகமாகிய) அதிலிருந்து அவர்கள் வெளியேற நாடும்போதெல்லாம், அதிலேயே திருப்பப் படுவார்கள், இன்னும், “எரிக்கும் (நெருப்பு) வேதனையைச் சுவைத்துக் கொண்டிருங்கள்” (எனவும் கூறப்படும்.)

Every time, in their anguish, they try to get out of it, they will be forced back into it, “Taste the burning punishment!”

Inna Allaha yudkhilu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu yuhallawna feeha min asawira min thahabin waluluan walibasuhum feeha hareerun

Truly, Allâh will admit those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, to Gardens underneath which rivers flow (in Paradise), wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls and their garments therein will be of silk.

Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk.

எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் சுவனபதியில் புகுத்துகிறான். அதில் நீரருவிகள் தொடர்ந்து ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருக்கும். (பின்னும்) பொற்கடகமும், முத்து ஆபரணமும் (விருதுகளாக) அவர்களுக்கு அணிவிக்கப்படும். அவர்களுடைய ஆடைகளோ மிருதுவான பட்டினால் ஆனதாக இருக்கும்.

ஈமான் கொண்டு யார் (ஸாலிஹான) - நற் - செயல்கள் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் சுவனபதிகளிலே புகுத்துவான்; அவற்றின் கீழே ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டேயிருக்கும்; அங்கே பொன்னாலான கடகங்களிலிருந்தும், முத்திலிருந்தும் ஆபரணங்கள் அணிவிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அங்கு அவர்களுடைய ஆடைகளும் பட்டாக இருக்கும்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்கிறார்களே அவர்களை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் சுவனபதிகளில் நுழைவிப்பான், அவற்றின் கீழ் ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும், (பின்னும்) அவற்றில் தங்கத்தினாலான கடகங்களும், முத்து (ஆபரணமு)ம் அவர்கள் அணிவிக்கப்படுவர், அதில் அவர்களுடைய உடைகளும் பட்டாகும்.

Allah will surely admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens under which rivers flow. They will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments will be of silk.

Wahudoo ila alttayyibi mina alqawli wahudoo ila sirati alhameedi

And they are guided (in this world) to goodly speech (i.e. Lâ ilâha illallâh, Al-hamdu lillâh, recitation of the Qur'ân) and they are guided to the path of Him (i.e. Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism), Who is Worthy of all praises.

And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.

பரிசுத்த வாக்கியம் (ஆகிய கலிமா தய்யிப்) அவர்களுக்கு (இம்மையில்) கற்பிக்கப்பட்டு மிக்க புகழுக்குரிய இறைவனின் பாதையிலும் அவர்கள் செலுத்தப்படுவார்கள்.

ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் (கலிமா தையிபா எனும்) பரிசுத்தமான சொல்லின் பக்கம் (இம்மையில்) வழிகாட்டப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; இன்னும் புகழுக்குரிய (இறை)வனின் பாதையின் பக்கமும் அவர்கள் செலுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

இன்னும் (கலிமா தைய்யியா எனும்) பரிசுத்தமான கூற்றின் பால் அவர்கள் வழிகாட்டப்பட்டிருந்தனர்; இன்னும் புகழுக்குரியவனின் பாதையின்பாலும் அவர்கள் (இம்மையில்) செலுத்தப்பட்டிருந்தனர்.

They were guided to the best of words and they were guided to the praiseworthy path.

Inna allatheena kafaroo wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waalmasjidi alharami allathee jaAAalnahu lilnnasi sawaan alAAakifu feehi waalbadi waman yurid feehi biilhadin bithulmin nuthiqhu min AAathabin aleemin

Verily, those who disbelieved and hinder (men) from the path of Allâh, and from Al-Masjid Al-Harâm (at Makkah) which We have made (open) to (all) men, the dweller in it and the visitor from the country are equal there [as regards its sanctity and pilgrimage (Hajj and 'Umrah)] – and whoever inclines to evil actions therein or to do wrong (i.e. practise polytheism and leave Islâmic Monotheism), him We shall cause to taste from a painful torment.

Indeed, those who have disbelieved and avert [people] from the way of Allah and [from] al-Masjid al-Haram, which We made for the people - equal are the resident therein and one from outside; and [also] whoever intends [a deed] therein of deviation [in religion] or wrongdoing - We will make him taste of a painful punishment.

நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் நிராகரித்து அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதை(யில் செல்வதை)யும் தடுத்துக்கொண்டு (மக்காவாகிய) அங்கு வசித்திருப்பவர்கள் ஆயினும், வெளியிலிருந்து வருபவர்களாயினும், மனிதர்கள் அனைவருக்குமே சமமான உரிமையுள்ளதாக நாம் ஏற்படுத்திய சிறப்புற்ற மஸ்ஜிதுக்குச் செல்வதையும் தடை செய்து கொண்டு, அதில் மார்க்கத்திற்கு விரோதமான அநியாயம் செய்ய விரும்பினால், அவர்கள் துன்புறுத்தும் வேதனையைச் சுவைக்கும் படி நாம் செய்வோம்.

நிச்சயமாக எவர் நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டும் உள்ளூர்வாசிகளும் வெளியூர்வாசிகளும் சமமாக இருக்கும் நிலையில் (முழு) மனித சமுதாயத்திற்கும் எதனை (புனிதத்தலமாக) நாம் ஆக்கியிருக்கிறோமோ அந்த மஸ்ஜிதுல் ஹராமை விட்டும், மேலும் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையை விட்டும், தடுத்துக் கொண்டும் இருந்தார்களோ அவர்களுக்கும் மேலும் யார் அதிலே (மஸ்ஜிதுல் ஹராமில்) அநியாயம் செய்வதன் மூலம் வரம்பு மீற விரும்புகிறானோ அவனுக்கும் நோவினை தரும் வேதனையிலிருந்து சுவைக்கும்படி நாம் செய்வோம்.

நிச்சயமாக நிராகரித்து, அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையை (அதில் விசுவாசிகள் செல்வதை) விட்டும், (மற்றும் மஸ்ஜிதுல் ஹராம்) அதில் வசிப்போராயினும், (அதற்கு தூரமாக) வெளியில் வசிப்போராயினும், மனிதர்களில் யாவருக்குமே சமமாக அதை நாம் ஆக்கியிருக்கிறோமே, அத்தகைய புனிதமான பள்ளியை (அதனுள் செல்வதை)விட்டும் தடுக்கிறார்களே, அத்தகையோர் (நஷ்டவாளிகளாவர்.) இன்னும் அதில் (பாவம் செய்தலெனும்) அநியாயத்தைக் கொண்டு யார் (அசத்தியத்தின்பால்) சாய்வதை நாடுகிறாரோ அவருக்கு நோவினைதரும் வேதனையிலிருந்து நாம் சுவைக்கச் செய்வோம்.

As for those who disbelieve and prevent people from Allah’s way and from the Sacred Mosque – which We have made for all people, residents and visitors alike – and whoever intends to deviate therein by evildoing, We will cause him to taste a painful punishment.

Waith bawwana liibraheema makana albayti an la tushrik bee shayan watahhir baytiya lilttaifeena waalqaimeena waalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi

And (remember) when We showed Ibrâhîm (Abraham) the site of the (Sacred) House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me, [Lâ ilâha illallâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh) – Islâmic Monotheism], and sanctify My House for those who circumambulate it, and those who stand up (for prayer), and those who bow (submit themselves with humility and obedience to Allâh), and make prostration (in prayer);"

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.

(நபியே!) இப்றாஹீமை நம்முடைய வீட்டின் சமீபமாக வசிக்கும்படிச் செய்து (அவரை நோக்கி) "நீங்கள் எனக்கு எவரையும் இணையாக்காதீர்கள். என்னுடைய (இந்த) வீட்டை (தவாஃப்) சுற்றி வருபவர்களுக்கும், அதில் நின்று, குனிந்து, சிரம் பணிந்து தொழுபவர்களுக்கும் அதனைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கி வையுங்கள்" என்று நாம் கூறிய சமயத்தில்,

நாம் இப்றாஹீமுக்குப் புனித ஆலயத்தின் இடத்தை நிர்ணயித்து “நீர் எனக்கு எவரையும் இணைவைக்காதீர்; என்னுடைய (இந்த) ஆலயத்தைச் சுற்றி வருவோருக்கும், அதில் ருகூஃ, ஸுஜூது செய்(து தொழு)வோருக்கும், அதைத் தூய்மையாக்கி வைப்பீராக” என்று சொல்லியதை (நபியே! நினைவு கூறுவீராக).

(நபியே!) இப்றாஹீமுக்கு (நமது) வீட்டின் இடத்தை நிர்ணயித்து, “நீர் எனக்கு எவரையும் இணையாக்காதீர், என்னுடைய வீட்டை சுற்றி வருவோருக்கும், அதில் (தொழுகைகளை நிறைவேற்ற) நிற்போருக்கும், அதில் குனிந்து சிரம்பணிந்து தொழு)வோருக்கும் அதனைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி வைப்பீராக!” என்று நாம் கூறியதை (நீர் நினைவு கூர்வீராக!)

And [remember] when We showed to Abraham the site of the House [Ka’ba], “Do not associate anything with Me, and purify My House for those who circumambulate it, and those who stand up in prayer, and those who bow and prostrate.

Waaththin fee alnnasi bialhajji yatooka rijalan waAAala kulli damirin yateena min kulli fajjin AAameeqin

And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj).

And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -

(அவரை நோக்கி) "ஹஜ்ஜுக்கு வருமாறு நீங்கள் மனிதர்களுக்கு அறிக்கையிடுங்கள். (அவர்கள்) கால்நடையாகவும் உங்களிடம் வருவார்கள்; இளைத்த ஒட்டகங்களின் மீது வெகு தொலை தூரத்திலிருந்தும் (உங்களிடம்) வருவார்கள்.

ஹஜ்ஜை பற்றி மக்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக! அவர்கள் நடந்தும் வெகு தொலைவிலிருந்து வரும் மெலிந்த ஒட்டகங்களின் மீதும் உம்மிடம் வருவார்கள் (எனக் கூறினோம்).

“ஹஜ்ஜுக்காக (அதைச் செய்ய வருமாறு) நீர் மனிதர்களை அழைப்பீராக!” (அவ்வழைப்பை ஏற்று) அவர்கள் நடந்தவர்களாக உம்மிடம் வருவார்கள், இன்னும், இளைத்த (களைப்புற்ற) ஒட்டகங்களின் மீது (சவாரி செய்தவர்களாகவும் வருவார்கள்.) அவை தூரமான ஒவ்வொரு வழியிலிருந்தும் (அவர்களைக்கொண்டு) வரும்.

And proclaim the pilgrimage to all people; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel from every distant pathway,

Liyashhadoo manafiAAa lahum wayathkuroo isma Allahi fee ayyamin maAAloomatin AAala ma razaqahum min baheemati alanAAami fakuloo minha waatAAimoo albaisa alfaqeera

That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade), and mention the Name of Allâh on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice), [at the time of their slaughtering by saying: (Bismillâh, Wallâhu-Akbar, Allâhumma Minka wa Ilaik)]. Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor having a hard time.

That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. So eat of them and feed the miserable and poor.

(வர்த்தகத்தின் மூலம்) தங்கள் பயனை நாடியும் (அங்கு வருவார்கள்.) குறிப்பிட்ட நாள்களில் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகிய) கால்நடை பிராணிகள் மீது அவனது திருப்பெயரைக் கூறி அறுப்பதற்காகவும் அ(ங்கு வருவார்கள். ஆகவே, அவ்வாறு அறுக்கப்பட்ட)வைகளிலிருந்து நீங்களும் புசியுங்கள்; சிரமப்படும் ஏழைகளுக்கும் புசிக்கக் கொடுங்கள்.

தங்களுக்குரிய பலன்களை அடைவதற்காகவும்; குறிப்பிட்ட நாட்களில் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ள (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் போன்ற) நாற்கால் பிராணிகள் மீது அவன் பெயரைச் சொல்(லி குர்பான் கொடுப்)பவர்களாகவும் (வருவார்கள்); எனவே அதிலிருந்து நீங்களும் உண்ணுங்கள்; கஷ்டப்படும் ஏழைகளுக்கும் உண்ணக் கொடுங்கள்.

தங்களுக்குரிய (இம்மை மறுமையின்) பலன்களை அவர்கள் அடைவதற்காகவும், அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரை – அவன் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த (குர்பானிப் பிராணிகளான ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் முதலிய) நாற்கால் பிராணிகள் மீது குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட நாட்களில் கூறுவதற்காகவும் (வருவார்கள்.) ஆகவே, அ(றுக்கப்பட்ட)வைகளிலிருந்து, நீங்களும் புசியுங்கள், கஷ்டப்படும் ஏழைக்கும் உண்ணக் கொடுங்கள்.

so that they may attain benefits, and pronounce Allah’s name during the appointed days over the sacrificial animals that He has provided for them; then eat from it and feed the desperate poor.

Thumma lyaqdoo tafathahum walyoofoo nuthoorahum walyattawwafoo bialbayti alAAateeqi

Then let them complete their prescribed duties (Manâsik of Hajj) and perform their vows, and circumambulate the Ancient House (the Ka'bah at Makkah).

Then let them end their untidiness and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf around the ancient House."

பின்னர் (தலைமுடி இறக்கி, நகம் தரித்து, குளித்துத்) தங்கள் அழுக்குகளைச் சுத்தம் செய்து, தங்களுடைய நேர்ச்சைகளையும் நிறைவேற்றி, கண்ணியம் பொருந்திய பழமை வாய்ந்த ஆலயத்தையும் தவாஃப் செய்யுங்கள்.

பின்னர் அவர்கள் (தலைமுடி இறக்கி, நகம் வெட்டி, குளித்துத்) தம் அழுக்குகளை நீக்கி, தங்கள் நேர்ச்சைகளை நிறைவேற்றி (அந்தப் புனிதமான) பூர்வீக ஆலயத்தை “தவாஃபும்” செய்ய வேண்டும்.

பின்னர் (தலைமுடி இறக்கி, நகம் தறித்து, குளித்து இஹ்ராமை களைவதன் மூலம்) தங்கள் அழுக்குகளை அவர்கள் நீக்கிக் கொள்ளவும், தம் நேர்ச்சைகளையும் அவர்கள் நிறைவேற்றவும், (ஹஜ்ஜின் அடிப்படைக் கடமையான தவாபை நிறைவேற்ற) பூர்வீக ஆலயமான (கஃபா எனும்) வீட்டையும் அவர்கள் தவாஃப் செய்யவும்,

Then let them complete their rites, fulfill their vows, and circumambulate the Ancient House [Ka’ba].”

Thalika waman yuAAaththim hurumati Allahi fahuwa khayrun lahu AAinda rabbihi waohillat lakumu alanAAamu illa ma yutla AAalaykum faijtaniboo alrrijsa mina alawthani waijtaniboo qawla alzzoori

That (Manâsik – prescribed duties of Hajj is the obligation that mankind owes to Allâh) and whoever honours the sacred things of Allâh, then that is better for him with his Lord. The cattle are lawful to you, except those (that will be) mentioned to you (as exceptions). So shun the abomination (worshipping) of idol, and shun lying speech (false statements)

That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement,

இவ்வாறே அல்லாஹ் கண்ணியப்படுத்திய சிறப்பான வைகளை எவர் மகிமைப்படுத்துகின்றாரோ அவருக்கு அது அவருடைய இறைவனிடத்தில் மிக்க நன்மையாகவே முடியும். (நீங்கள் புசிக்கக்கூடிய ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகிய) கால்நடைகளைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பித்த (செத்தது, இரத்தம், பன்றியின் மாமிசம், அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவைகளின் பெயர் கூறி அறுக்கப்பட்ட)வைகளைத் தவிர (மற்றவைகளைப் புசிப்பது) ஆகும். ஆகவே, சிலை வணக்க அசுத்தத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் தப்பித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அன்றி, பொய்யான வார்த்தைகளில் இருந்தும் நீங்கள் தப்பித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்."

இதுவே (முறையாகும்.) மேலும் அல்லாஹ்வின் புனிதமான கட்டளைகளை யார் மேன்மைப்படுத்துகிறாரோ அது அவருக்கு, அவருடைய இறைவனிடத்தில் சிறந்ததாகும்; இன்னும் நாற்கால் பிராணிகளில் உங்களுக்கு (ஆகாதவையென) ஓதப்பட்டதைத் தவிர (மற்றவை) உங்களுக்கு அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன; ஆகவே விக்கிரகங்களின் அசுத்தத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் விலகிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அன்றியும் பொய்யான சொல்லையும் நீங்கள் விலக்கிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

இதுவே (ஹஜ்ஜுடைய கிரியைகள் பற்றிய முறையாகும்), மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வினால் புனிதமாக்கப்பட்டவைகளை எவர் மேன்மைப்படுத்துகிறாரோ, அது அவருடைய இரட்சகனிடத்தில் அவருக்கு மிகச் சிறந்ததாகும், மேலும், (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகிய) கால்நடைப் பிராணிகளிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு (விலக்கபபட்டவையென) ஓதிக்காட்டப்பட்டதைத் தவிர, மற்றவை உங்களுக்கு (உண்ண) அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன, ஆகவே, விக்ரக (வணக்க)ங்களிலுள்ள அசுத்தத்தைத் தவிர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள், பொய்க்கூற்றையும் நீங்கள் தவிர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Such [is the pilgrimage]; whoever honors the sacred rituals of Allah, it is best for him with his Lord. All sacrificial animals have been made lawful for you except what is recited to you. So shun the impurity of idolatry and shun the words of falsehood.

Hunafaa lillahi ghayra mushrikeena bihi waman yushrik biAllahi fakaannama kharra mina alssamai fatakhtafuhu alttayru aw tahwee bihi alrreehu fee makanin saheeqin

Hunafâ' Lillâh (i.e. worshiping none but Allâh), not associating partners (in worship) to Him; and whoever assigns partners to Allâh, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place.

Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.

அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணை வைக்காது, அவன் ஒருவனுக்கே முற்றிலும் தலைசாய்த்து விடுங்கள். எவன் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணை வைக்கின்றானோ, அவன் வானத்திலிருந்து (முகங்குப்புற) விழுந்தவனைப் போலாவான். அவனை (காகம், கழுகு போன்ற) பறவைகள் இறாய்ந்துக் கொண்டு போய்விடும் அல்லது காற்று வெகு தூரத்திற்கு அடித்துக்கொண்டு சென்றுவிடும்.

அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எதையும் இணைவைக்காது அவனுக்கு முற்றிலும் வழிப்படவர்களாக இருங்கள்; இன்னும் எவன் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணை வைக்கிறானோ, அவன் வானத்திலிருந்து விழுந்து பறவைகள் அவனை வாரி எடுத்துச் சென்றது போலும் அல்லது பெருங் காற்றடித்து, அவனை வெகு தொலைவிலுள்ள ஓரிடத்திற்கு அடித்துக் கொண்டு சென்றது போலும் ஆகிவிடுவான்.

அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக (அசத்தியத்தை விட்டும் சத்தியத்தின்பால்) சாய்ந்தவர்களாக, அவனுக்கு எதனையும் இணை வைக்காதவர்களாக, (வழிப்பட்டுவிடுங்கள்.) இன்னும், எவன் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு இணை வைக்கின்றானோ அப்பொழுது அவன், வானத்திலிருந்து (முகங்குப்புற) விழுந்து பறவைகள் அவனை இராய்ஞ்சிக் கொண்டு சென்றதைப் போன்றோ அல்லது (பெருங்)காற்று அவனை வெகு தூரத்தில் உள்ள இடத்திற்கு அடித்துக் கொண்டு சென்றதைப்போன்றோ இருக்கின்றான்.

Be exclusively devoted to Allah, associating no partners with Him. Whoever associates partners with Allah, it is as if he has fallen from the sky and has been snatched away by birds or swept away by the wind to a far off place.

Thalika waman yuAAaththim shaAAaira Allahi fainnaha min taqwa alquloobi

Thus it is [what has been mentioned in the above said Verses (27, 28, 29, 30, 31) is an obligation that mankind owes to Allâh] and whosoever honours the Symbols of Allâh, then it is truly from the piety of the hearts.

That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.

இதுவே (அவனுடைய கதியாகும்.) எவர் அல்லாஹ்வினால் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்ட அடையாளங்களை கண்ணியப்படுத்துகின்றாரோ அது அவருடைய உள்ளத்தின் இறை அச்சத்தை அறிவிக்கிறது.

இதுதான் (இறைவன் வகுத்ததாகும்,) எவர் அல்லாஹ்வின் சின்னங்களை மேன்மை படுத்துகிறாரோ நிச்சயமாக அது உள்ளச்சத்தால் (ஏற்பட்டது) ஆகும்.

அதுவே (அவனுடைய கதியாகும்.) இன்னும் எவர் அல்லாஹ்வின் அடையாளச் சின்னங்களை கண்ணியப்படுத்துகின்றாரோ அப்போது நிச்சயமாக, அது இதயங்களிலுள்ள பயபக்தியில் (ஏற்பட்டது) ஆகும்.

This is so. And whoever honors the rituals of Allah, it is from the piety of the hearts.

Lakum feeha manafiAAu ila ajalin musamman thumma mahilluha ila albayti alAAateeqi

In them (cattle offered for sacrifice) are benefits for you for an appointed term, and afterwards they are brought for sacrifice to the ancient House (the Haram – sacred territory of Makkah).

For you the animals marked for sacrifice are benefits for a specified term; then their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.

(குர்பானிக்காக ஏற்பட்ட ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகங்களின் பாலருந்தலாம்; சவாரி செய்யலாம். இவ்வாறு) ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட காலம் வரையில் நீங்கள் அவைகளைக் கொண்டு பயனடையலாம். பின்னர், அவைகளை கண்ணியம் பொருந்திய பழமை வாய்ந்த ஆலயத்திடம் சேர்ப்பித்து விட வேண்டியது.

(குர்பானிக்கு என்று நிர்ணயிக்கப்பெற்ற) பிராணிகளில் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட தவணை வரையில் உங்களுக்கு பலனடைய (அனுமதி) உண்டு. அதன் பின்னர் (உரிய காலம் வந்ததும்) அவற்றின் (குர்பானிக்கான) இடம் அந்தப் புராதன ஆலயத்தின் பால் இருக்கிறது.

(குர்பானிப் பிராணிகளான, ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகங்கள் ஆகியவைகளான) அவைகளில் (அவற்றின் பாலை அருந்துதல், சவாரி செயதல், அவற்றின் உரோமங்களை பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளுதல் போன்ற) பலன்கள் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரம் வரை உங்களுக்குண்டு, பின்னர், அவைகளுக்குரிய இடம் பூர்வீக வீட்டின்பாலாகும்.

There are benefits for you in these [sacrificial animals] for an appointed term, then their place of sacrifice is near the Ancient House.

Walikulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakan liyathkuroo isma Allahi AAala ma razaqahum min baheemati alanAAami failahukum ilahun wahidun falahu aslimoo wabashshiri almukhbiteena

And for every nation We have appointed religious ceremonies, that they may mention the Name of Allâh over the beast of cattle that He has given them for food. And your Ilâh (God) is One Ilâh (God Allâh), so you must submit to Him Alone (in Islâm). And (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) give glad tidings to the Mukhbitûn [those who obey Allâh with humility and are humble from among the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism],

And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]

குர்பானி செய்வதை ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பினருக்கும் கடமையாக்கி இருக்கின்றோம். அல்லாஹ் கொடுத்திருந்த ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகங்களின் மீது அவன் பெயரைக் கூறி குர்பானி செய்யுங்கள். ஆகவே, உங்களுடைய இறைவன் (ஒரே) ஒருவன்தான். ஆதலால், அவன் ஒருவனுக்கே நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் கட்டுப்பட்டு நடங்கள். உள்ளச்சம் உடையவர்களுக்கு (நபியே!) நீங்கள் நற்செய்தி கூறுங்கள்.

இன்னும் கால்நடை(ப்பிராணி)களிலிருந்து அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுக்கு உணவாக்கியுள்ள (ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் போன்ற)வற்றின் மீது அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரைக் கூறும் படிச் செய்வதற்காவே குர்பானி கொடுப்பதை ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பாருக்கும் (கடமையாக) ஆக்கியிருக்கிறோம்; ஆகவே உங்கள் நாயன் ஒரே நாயன்தான்; எனவே அவ(ன் ஒருவ)னுக்கே நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் வழிப்படுங்கள்; (நபியே!) உள்ளச்சம் உடையவர்களுக்கு நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

(ஆடு, மாடு, ஒட்டகம் ஆகிய) கால்நடைப் பிராணிகளிலிருந்து அவன் அவர்களுக்கு கொடுத்திருக்கின்றவற்றின் மீது அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரை அவர்கள் கூறுவதற்காக ஒவ்வொரு சமூகத்தாருக்கும் குர்பானி செய்வதை நாம் ஏற்படுத்தியிருந்தோம், ஆகவே உங்களுடைய (வணக்கத்திற்குரிய) நாயன் (ஒரே) ஒரு நாயன்தான், அவன் ஒருவனுக்கே நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடங்கள், மேலும், உள்ளச்சம் உடையவர்களுக்கு (நபியே) நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

For every community We ordained rites of sacrifice so that they may mention the name of Allah over the sacrificial animals that He has provided for them. Your God is One God, so submit to Him alone, and give glad tidings to the humble,

Allatheena itha thukira Allahu wajilat quloobuhum waalssabireena AAala ma asabahum waalmuqeemee alssalati wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona

Whose hearts are filled with fear when Allâh is mentioned and As-Sâbirûn [who patiently bear whatever may befall them (of calamities)]; and who perform As-Salât (the prayers), and who spend (in Allâh's Cause) out of what We have provided for them.

Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையவர்கள் என்றால், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய திருப்பெயர் கூறப்பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் பயந்து நடுங்கிவிடும். அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் கஷ்டங்களைப் பொறுமையுடன் சகித்துக்கொள்வார்கள். தொழுகையையும் கடைப்பிடிப்பார்கள். நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவைகளில் தானமும் செய்வார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோர் என்றால் அல்லாஹ்(வின் திரு நாமம்) கூறப்பெற்றால், அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் அச்சத்தால் நடுங்கும்; அன்றியும் தங்களுக்கு ஏற்படும் துன்பங்களைப் பொறுமையுடன் சகித்துக் கொள்வோராகவும், தொழுகையைச் சரிவரக் கடைப்பிடிப்போராகவும், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (இறைவனின் பாதையில்) செலவு செய்வோராகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், அல்லாஹ்(வுடைய பெயர்) கூறப்பட்டால் அவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் (அச்சத்தால் பயந்து) நடுங்கிவிடும், (துன்பங்களிலிருந்து) அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்டதின் மீது பொறுமையாளர்களாகவும், தொழுகையை நிறைவேற்றுபவர்களாகவும் இருப்பர், அவர்களுக்கு நாம் அளித்தவற்றிலிருந்து (தர்மமாகச்) செலவும் செய்வார்கள்.

those whose hearts are filled with awe when Allah is mentioned, and those who patiently endure whatever may befall them, and who establish prayer and spend out of what We have provided for them.

Waalbudna jaAAalnaha lakum min shaAAairi Allahi lakum feeha khayrun faothkuroo isma Allahi AAalayha sawaffa faitha wajabat junoobuha fakuloo minha waatAAimoo alqaniAAa waalmuAAtarra kathalika sakhkharnaha lakum laAAallakum tashkuroona

And the Budn (cows, oxen, or camels driven to be offered as sacrifices by the pilgrims at the sanctuary of Makkah), We have made them for you as among the Symbols of Allâh, wherein you have much good. So mention the Name of Allâh over them when they are drawn up in lines (for sacrifice). Then, when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat thereof, and feed the poor who does not ask (men), and the beggar who asks (men). Thus have We made them subject to you that you may be grateful.

And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.

குர்பானியின் ஒட்டகத்தை அல்லாஹ்வின் அடையாள சின்னங்களில் ஒன்றாக நாம் உங்களுக்கு ஆக்கியிருக்கிறோம். அதில் உங்களுக்குத்தான் பெரும் நன்மை இருக்கிறது. ஆகவே, (அதன் இடப்பக்க முன் காலைக்கட்டி மற்ற மூன்று கால்களில்) நிறுத்திவைத்து அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரைக் கூறி அறுங்கள். அது கீழே விழுந்து (உயிர்)விட்டால் அதிலிருந்து நீங்களும் புசியுங்கள். அதைக் கேட்டவர்களுக்கும், கேட்காதவர்களுக்கும் கொடுங்கள். நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தும் பொருட்டு இவ்வாறு அதனை உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்தித் தந்தோம்.

இன்னும் (குர்பானிக்கான) ஒட்டகங்கள்; அவற்றை உங்களுக்காக அல்லாஹ்வின் அடையாளங்களிலிருந்தும் நாம் ஆக்கியிருக்கிறோம்; உங்களுக்கு அவற்றில் மிக்க நன்மை உள்ளது; எனவே (அவை உரிய முறையில்) நிற்கும் போது அவற்றின் மீது அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரைச் சொல்(லி குர்பான் செய்)வீர்களாக; பிறகு, அவை தங்கள் பக்கங்களின் மீது சாய்ந்து கீழே விழுந்(து உயிர் நீத்)த பின் அவற்றிலிருந்து நீங்களும் உண்ணுங்கள்; (வறுமையிலும் கையேந்தாமல் இருப்பதைக் கொண்டு) திருப்தியாய் இருப்போருக்கும், இரப்போருக்கும் உண்ணக் கொடுங்கள் - இவ்விதமாகவே, நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்தும் பொருட்டு அவற்றை உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறோம்.

(அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரால் ஹரமின்பால் கொண்டு செல்லப்படும் கொழுத்த) ஒட்டகங்களை – அவற்றை உங்களுக்காக அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அடையளங்களில் உள்ளவையாக நாம் ஆக்கியிருக்கிறோம்; உங்களுக்கு அவற்றில் பெரும் நன்மை இருக்கிறது; ஆகவே (அதன் இடது முன் காலை மடக்கிக் கட்டி மீதமுள்ள மூன்று மூன்று கால்களில் அது நிற்குமாறு) நிறுத்தி வைத்து, அல்லாஹ்வின் பெயரைக் கூறி (அறுத்து) விடுங்கள்; அது விலாப்புறமாக கீழே விழுந்துவிட்டால், அதிலிருந்து நீங்களும் உண்ணுங்கள்; (தேவையுடையோராய் இருந்தும் பிறரிடம்) கேட்காதவர்களுக்கும், அதை யாசித்துக் கேட்டவர்களுக்கும் உண்ணக் கொடுங்கள்; நீங்கள் நன்றி செலுத்துவதற்காக அவ்வாறு அதனை உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்தித் தந்தோம்.

We have ordained the sacrificial camels [and cattle] among the rituals of Allah, in which there is much good for you. So mention the name of Allah over them when they are lined up, then when they fall down on their sides, eat of them and feed those [poor] who do not beg and those who do. Thus We have made them subservient to you, so that you may be grateful.

Lan yanala Allaha luhoomuha wala dimaoha walakin yanaluhu alttaqwa minkum kathalika sakhkharaha lakum litukabbiroo Allaha AAala ma hadakum wabashshiri almuhsineena

It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allâh, but it is piety from you that reaches Him. Thus have We made them subject to you that you may magnify Allâh for His Guidance to you. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) to the Muhsinûn (doers of good).

Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.

(இவ்வாறு குர்பானி செய்தபோதிலும்) அதன் மாமிசமோ அல்லது அதன் இரத்தமோ அல்லாஹ்வை அடைந்து விடுவது இல்லை. உங்களுடைய இறை அச்சம்தான் அவனை அடையும். அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு நேரான வழியை அறிவித்ததற்காக (அவனுக்கு நீங்கள் குர்பானி கொடுத்து) அவனை நீங்கள் பெருமைப்படுத்தும் பொருட்டு இவ்வாறு அவைகளை உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்தித் தந்தான். (நபியே! இவ்வாறு குர்பானி கொடுத்து) நன்றி செய்பவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் நற்செய்தி கூறுங்கள்.

(எனினும்), குர்பானியின் மாமிசங்களோ, அவற்றின் உதிரங்களோ அல்லாஹ்வை ஒரு போதும் அடைவதில்லை; ஆனால் உங்களுடைய தக்வா (பயபக்தி) தான் அவனை அடையும்; அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு நேர்வழி காண்பித்ததற்காக அவனை நீங்கள் பெருமைப் படுத்தும் பொருட்டு - இவ்வாறாக அவற்றை உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறான்; ஆகவே நன்மை செய்வோருக்கு நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

(இவ்வாறு குர்பானி செய்யப்பட்ட,) அவற்றின் மாமிசங்களோ அல்லது அவற்றின் இரத்தங்களோ அல்லாஹ்வை ஒருபோதும் அடைந்துவிடுவதில்லை, எனினும் உங்களிலுள்ள பயபக்திதான் அவனை அடையும், உங்களை அவன் நேர்வழியில் செலுத்தியதற்காக (தக்பீர் கூறி) அல்லாஹ்வை நீங்கள் பெருமைப்படுத்துவதற்காக, இவ்வாறு அவைகளை உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்தித் தந்தான், மேலும், (நபியே!) நன்மை செய்வோருக்கு நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

It is neither their flesh nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him. This is how He has subjected them to you, so that you may proclaim Allah’s greatness for having guided you. And give glad tidings to those who do good.

Inna Allaha yudafiAAu AAani allatheena amanoo inna Allaha la yuhibbu kulla khawwanin kafoorin

Truly, Allâh defends those who believe. Verily, Allâh likes not any treacherous ingrate to Allâh [those who disobey Allâh but obey Shaitân (Satan)].

Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களை (நிராகரிப்பவர்களின்) தீங்கில் இருந்து தடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மோசக்காரரையும் நன்றி கெட்டவர்களையும் விரும்புவதில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களை (முஷ்ரிக்குகளின் தீமைகளிலிருந்து) பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்கிறான் - நம்பிக்கை மோசம் செய்பவர்களையும், நன்றி கெட்ட மோசக்காரர் எவரையும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நேசிப்பதில்லை.

நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் விசுவாசங்கொண்டவர்களை (நிராகரிப்போரின் தீங்கு அவர்களை அணுகாது) தடுத்துக்கொள்கிறான், (உடன்படிக்கைகளை உடைத்தெறிகின்ற) அதிமோசக்காரர்களை, (அவனின் அருட்கொடைகளுக்கு நன்றி செய்யாது) மறுப்பவர்களை நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் நேசிக்க மாட்டான்.

Indeed, Allah defends those who believe, and Allah does not like every treacherous and ungrateful.

Othina lillatheena yuqataloona biannahum thulimoo wainna Allaha AAala nasrihim laqadeerun

Permission to fight (against disbelievers) is given to those (believers) who are fought against, because they have been wronged; and surely, Allâh is Able to give them (believers) victory –

Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.

(நிராகரிப்பவர்களால்) அநியாயத்தில் சிக்கி, போருக்கு நிர்பந்திக்கப்பட்ட (நம்பிக்கை கொண்ட)வர்களுக்கு அவர்களை எதிர்த்து போர் புரிய அனுமதியளிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய பேராற்றலுடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

போர் தொடுக்கப்பட்டோருக்கு - அவர்கள் அநியாயம் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கின்றார்கள் என்பதனால் (அவ்வாறு போர் தொடுத்த காஃபிர்களை எதிர்த்துப் போரிடுவதற்கு) அனுமதி அளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய அல்லாஹ் பேராற்றலுடையவன்.

(நிராகரிப்போரால்) போர் தொடுக்கப்பட்டோர்க்கு அவர்கள் அநீதமிழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள் என்ற காரணத்ததால் (போர்த்தொடுத்தோரை எதிர்த்து) யுத்தம் செய்ய அனுமதியளிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வோ, இவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்ய மிக்க ஆற்றலுடையவன்.

Permission [to fight] is given to those who are attacked, because they were oppressed, and Allah is indeed Most Capable of granting them victory,

Allatheena okhrijoo min diyarihim bighayri haqqin illa an yaqooloo rabbuna Allahu walawla dafAAu Allahi alnnasa baAAdahum bibaAAdin lahuddimat sawamiAAu wabiyaAAun wasalawatun wamasajidu yuthkaru feeha ismu Allahi katheeran walayansuranna Allahu man yansuruhu inna Allaha laqawiyyun AAazeezun

Those who have been expelled from their homes unjustly only because they said: "Our Lord is Allâh." For had it not been that Allâh checks one set of people by means of another, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, wherein the Name of Allâh is mentioned much, would surely have been pulled down. Verily, Allâh will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allâh is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

இவர்கள் (எத்தகையவரென்றால்,) தங்களுடைய இறைவன் அல்லாஹ்தான் என்று கூறியதற்காக நியாயமின்றி தங்கள் வீடுகளிலிருந்து எதிரிகளால் துரத்தப்பட்டார்கள். மனிதர்களில் (அநியாயம் செய்யும்) சிலரை, சிலரைக் கொண்டு அல்லாஹ் தடுக்காத வரையில் கிறிஸ்தவர்களின் ஆலயங்களும், அவர்களுடைய மடங்களும், யூதர்களுடைய ஆலயங்களும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய திருப்பெயர் அதிகமாக நினைவு செய்யப்படும் பள்ளிவாசல்களும் அழிக்கப்பட்டே போயிருக்கும். அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு யார் உதவி செய்கிறாரோ அவருக்கு நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வும் உதவி செய்கின்றான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிகப் பலவானும், அனைவரையும் மிகைத்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

இவர்கள் (எத்தகையோரென்றால்) நியாயமின்றித் தம் வீடுகளை விட்டு வெளியேற்றப்பட்டார்கள்; “எங்களுடைய இறைவன் ஒருவன்தான்” என்று அவர்கள் கூறியதைத் தவிர (வேறெதுவும் அவர்கள் சொல்லவில்லை); மனிதர்களில் சிலரைச் சிலரைக் கொண்டு அல்லாஹ் தடுக்காதிருப்பின் ஆசிரமங்களும் கிறிஸ்தவக் கோயில்களும், யூதர்களின் ஆலயங்களும், அல்லாஹ்வின் திரு நாமம் தியானிக்கப்படும் மஸ்ஜிதுகளும் அழிக்கப்பட்டு போயிருக்கும்; அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எவன் உதவி செய்கிறானோ, அவனுக்கு திடனாக அல்லாஹ்வும் உதவி செய்வான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வலிமை மிக்கோனும், (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தோனுமாக இருக்கின்றான்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் நியாயமின்றித் தங்கள் வீடுகளிலிருந்து (விரோதிகளால்) வெளியேற்றப்பட்டார்கள், “எங்களுடைய இரட்சகன் அல்லாஹ் ஒருவன்)தான்” என்று கூறியதைத் தவிர (வேறெதுவும் அவர்கள் வாக்காக இருக்கவில்லை.) மேலும், மனிதர்களில் (அநியாயம் செய்யும்) சிலரை, (மற்ற) சிலரைக் கொண்டு அல்லாஹ் தடுக்காதிருந்தால், (பாதிரிகளின்,) மடங்களும், கிறிஸ்தவர்களின் வணக்கஸ்தலங்களும், யூதர்களின் வணக்கஸ்தலங்களும் மஸ்ஜிதுகளும்- இவற்றில் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பெயர் அதிகமாக கூறப்படுபவை (யாவும்) இடிக்கப்பட்டுப் போயிருக்கும், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு எவன் உதவி செய்கிறானோ அவனுக்கு நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வும் உதவி செய்கிறான், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வலிமை மிக்கவன், யாவரையும் மிகைத்தவன்.

those who have been driven out of their homes for no reason other than they say, “Our Lord is Allah.” If Allah were not to repel some people by means of others, monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques wherein the name of Allah is often mentioned, would surely have been demolished. Allah surely helps those who stand up for His cause. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

Allatheena in makkannahum fee alardi aqamoo alssalata waatawoo alzzakata waamaroo bialmaAAroofi wanahaw AAani almunkari walillahi AAaqibatu alomoori

Those (Muslim rulers) who, if We give them power in the land, (they) enjoin Iqamat-as-Salât [i.e. to perform the five compulsory congregational Salât (prayers) (the males in mosques)], pay the Zakât (obligatory charity) and they enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do), and forbid Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism and all that Islâm has forbidden) [i.e. they make the Qur'ân as the law of their country in all the spheres of life]. And with Allâh rests the end of (all) matters (of creatures).

[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.

இவர்கள் எத்தகையவரென்றால், நாம் அவர்களுக்குப் பூமியில் வசதியளித்தால் தொழுகையைக் கடைப்பிடித்துத் தொழுவார்கள்; ஜகாத்தும் கொடுப்பார்கள்; நன்மையானவைகளை ஏவி, பாவமானவைகளைத் தடை செய்வார்கள். எல்லா காரியங்களின் முடிவும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே இருக்கிறது.

அன்றியும், இவர்கள் (எத்தகையோரென்றால்) இவர்களுக்கு நாம் பூமியில் இடம்பாடாக்கிக் கொடுத்தால், இவர்கள் தொழுகையை முறையாகக் கடைப்பிடிப்பார்கள்; ஜகாத்தும் கொடுப்பார்கள்; நன்மையான காரியங்களைச் செய்யவும் ஏவுவார்கள்; தீமையை விட்டும் விலக்குவார்கள் - மேலும், சகல காரியங்களின் முடிவும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே இருக்கிறது.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு பூமியில் (காரியங்களை நிர்வகிக்கும்) ஆற்றலை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுத்தால், அவர்கள் தொழுகையை முறையாக நிறைவேற்றுவார்கள், ஜகாத்தையும் கொடுத்து வருவார்கள், நன்மையை ஏவி தீமையை விட்டும் விலக்குவார்கள், மேலும் சகல காரியங்களின் முடிவும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே இருக்கிறது.

It is those who, if We give them power in the land, they establish prayer and give zakah, and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of all matters.

Wain yukaththibooka faqad kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waAAadun wathamoodu

And if they deny you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), so did deny before them the people of Nûh (Noah), 'آd and Thamûd (their Prophets).

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - so, before them, did the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud deny [their prophets],

(நபியே! நிராகரிக்கும்) இவர்கள் உங்களைப் பொய்யாக்கினால் (அதைப்பற்றி நீங்கள் கவலைப்படாதீர்கள். ஏனென்றால்) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்த நூஹ்வுடைய மக்களும், ஆது, ஸமூது என்னும் மக்களும் (தங்கள் நபிமார்களை) நிச்சயமாக பொய்யாக்கியே இருந்தனர்.

(நபியே!) இவர்கள் உம்மைப் பொய்யாக்க முற்பட்டால் (அதற்காக விசனப்படாதீர்; ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக இவர்களுக்கு முன்னால் நூஹுடைய சமூகத்தினரும்; ஆது, ஸமூது (சமூகத்தினரும் தத்தம் நபிமார்களைப்) பொய்ப்பிக்கவே முற்பட்டார்கள்.

மேலும் (நபியே!) இவர்கள் உம்மைப் பொய்யாக்கினால், (அதனால் நீர் கலக்கமுற வேண்டாம், ஏனெனில்) இவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்து நூஹ்வுடைய சமூகத்தாரும் ஆது (கூட்டத்தாரு)ம் ஸமூது(கூட்டத்தாரு)ம் (தங்கள் நபிமார்களை) நிச்சயமாகப் பொய்யாக்கினர்.

If they reject you [O Prophet], the people of Noah, ‘Ād and Thamūd before them also rejected [their prophets],

Waqawmu ibraheema waqawmu lootin

And the people of Ibrâhîm (Abraham) and the people of Lût (Lot),

And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot

(இவ்வாறே) இப்றாஹீமுடைய மக்கள் (இப்றாஹீமையும்), லூத்துடைய மக்கள் (லூத்தையும்) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள்.

(இவ்வாறே) இப்றாஹீமுடைய சமூகத்தினரும் லூத்துடைய சமூகத்தினரும் (பொய்ப்பிக்கவே முற்பட்டார்கள்).

இன்னும், (இப்றாஹீமை) இப்றாஹீமுடைய சமூகத்தவரும், (லூத்தை) லூத்துடைய சமூகத்தவரும் (பொய்யாக்கினார்கள்).

as did the people of Abraham and the people of Lot,

Waashabu madyana wakuththiba moosa faamlaytu lilkafireena thumma akhathtuhum fakayfa kana nakeeri

And the dwellers of Madyan (Midian); and denied was Mûsâ (Moses). But I granted respite to the disbelievers for a while, then I seized them, and how (terrible) was My punishment (against their wrongdoing)!

And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

(அவ்வாறே) மத்யன்வாசிகளும் (தங்கள் நபியைப் பொய்யாக்கினர். இவ்வாறே) மூஸாவும் (தன் மக்களால்) பொய்யாக்கப்பட்டார். ஆகவே, நிராகரித்த இவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் நாம் சிறிது அவகாசம் கொடுத்து பின்னர் நாம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டோம். (நம்முடைய) வேதனை எவ்வாறு இருந்தது (என்பதை நீங்கள் கவனித்தீர்களா?)

(இவ்வாறே) மத்யன் வாசிகளும் (முற்பட்டனர்); இன்னும் மூஸாவையும் பொய்ப்பிக்கவே முற்பட்டனர் -எனினும் நான் காஃபிர்களுக்கு அவகாசம் கொடுத்துப் பின்னர் அவர்களை நான் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன்; என் தண்டனை எப்படியிருந்தது? (என்பதை கவனிப்பீராக!)

(இவ்வாறே) மத்யன் வாசிகளும், (அல்லாஹ்வின் தூதரைப் பொய்ப்படுத்தினர், இவ்வாறே) மூஸாவும், (தம் சமூகத்தாரால்) பொய்யாக்கப்பட்டார், ஆகவே, நிராகரித்தோருக்கு நான் அவகாசம் கொடுத்தேன், பின்னர் அவர்களை நான் பிடித்துக்கொண்டேன், (என்னுடைய) வேதனை(யின் பயங்கரம்) எவ்வாறிருந்தது? (என்பதை கவனிப்பீராக)

and the people of Midian. And Moses was [also] rejected. But I gave respite to the disbelievers, then I seized them. How severe was My response!

Fakaayyin min qaryatin ahlaknaha wahiya thalimatun fahiya khawiyatun AAala AAurooshiha wabirin muAAattalatin waqasrin masheedin

And many a township did We destroy while they were given to wrongdoing, so that it lie in ruins (up to this day), and (many) a deserted well and lofty castle!

And how many a city did We destroy while it was committing wrong - so it is [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] an abandoned well and [how many] a lofty palace.

அநியாயக்காரர்கள் வசித்திருந்த எத்தனையோ ஊர்களை நாம் அழித்திருக்கிறோம். அவற்றுடைய முகடுகள் இடிந்து குட்டிச் சுவராகிக் கிடக்கின்றன. அவற்றின் (எத்தனையோ) கிணறுகள் பாழடைந்து கிடக்கின்றன. அவற்றின் மாட மாளிகைகள் (மக்கள் வசிக்காது) பாழாய் கிடக்கின்றன.

அநியாயம் செய்த எத்தனையோ ஊ(ரா)ர்களை நாம் அழித்திருக்கிறோம் - அவற்றின் முகடுகள் மீது அவை விழுந்து கிடக்கின்றன; எத்தனையோ கிணறுகள் பாழடைந்து கிடக்கின்றன; எத்தனையோ வலுவான மாளிகைகள் (பாழ்பட்டுக் கிடக்கின்றன).

ஏத்தனையோ ஊர்களை – அவை அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டிருக்க, நாம் அவற்றை அழித்துள்ளோம், அவை அவற்றின் முகடுகளின் மீது விழுந்து கிடக்கின்றன, இன்னும், பாழடிக்கப்பட்ட கிணறுகளின் மீதும், உறுதியாக கட்டப்பட்ட கோட்டைகளின் மீதும், (அவை விழுந்தழிந்து கிடக்கின்றன.)

How many towns We have destroyed for their persistent wrongdoing, leaving them in total ruin; their wells abandoned and their lofty palaces deserted!

Afalam yaseeroo fee alardi fatakoona lahum quloobun yaAAqiloona biha aw athanun yasmaAAoona biha fainnaha la taAAma alabsaru walakin taAAma alquloobu allatee fee alssudoori

Have they not travelled through the land, and have they hearts wherewith to understand and ears wherewith to hear? Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind.

So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.

ஆகவே, இவர்கள் பூமியில் சுற்றித் திரிந்து (இவைகளைப்) பார்க்க வேண்டாமா? (அவ்வாறு பார்ப்பார்களாயின்) உணர்ந்து கொள்ளக்கூடிய உள்ளங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்டுவிடும் அல்லது (நல்லுபதேசத்தைக்) கேட்கக் கூடிய செவி அவர்களுக்கு உண்டாகி விடும். நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய (வெளிக்) கண்கள் குருடாகி விடவில்லை. எனினும், நெஞ்சுகளில் இருக்கும் (அவர்களுடைய அகக்) கண்கள்தாம் குருடாகி விட்டன.

அவர்கள் பூமியில் பிரயாணம் செய்து (இவற்றைப்) பார்க்கவில்லையா? (அவ்வாறு பார்த்திருந்தால்) அவர்களுக்கு விளங்கிக் கொள்ளக்கூடிய உள்ளங்களும், (நல்லவற்றைச்) செவியேற்கும் காதுகளும் உண்டாகியிருக்கும், நிச்சயமாக (புறக்) கண்கள் குருடாகவில்லை; எனினும், நெஞ்சுக்குள் இருக்கும் இதயங்கள் (அகக் கண்கள்) தாம் குருடாகின்றன.

பூமியில் அவர்கள் பிரயாணம் செய்யவில்லையா? (அவ்வாறு பிரயாணம் செய்வார்களாயின்) உணர்ந்து கொள்ளக்கூடிய இதயங்கள் அதன்மூலம் அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும், அல்லது (நல்லுபதேசத்தைக்) கேட்கக்கூடிய காதுகள் அதன் மூலம் அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும், நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுடைய (வெளிப்)பார்வைகள் குருடாகவில்லை, எனினும் நெஞ்சங்களிலுள்ள (அவர்களுடைய) இதயங்கள் குருடாகிவிட்டன.

Have they not traveled through the land so that their hearts might understand and their ears might listen? It is not the eyes that turn blind, but it is the hearts within the breasts that turn blind.

WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi walan yukhlifa Allahu waAAdahu wainna yawman AAinda rabbika kaalfi sanatin mimma taAAuddoona

And they ask you to hasten on the torment! And Allâh fails not His Promise. And verily, a day with your Lord is as a thousand years of what you reckon.

And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் வேதனையைத் தேடி உங்களிடம் அவசரப்படுகின்றனர். (நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: உங்கள் மீது வேதனை இறக்குவதாக) அல்லாஹ் செய்த வாக்குறுதியை அவன் மாற்ற மாட்டான். நிச்சயமாக உங்களது இறைவனிடத்தில் ஒரு நாள் நீங்கள் எண்ணும் (உங்களுடைய) ஆயிரம் வருடங்களுக்குச் சமமாகும்.

(நபியே! இன்னும் வரவில்லையே என்று) வேதனையை அவர்கள் அவசரமாக தேடுகிறார்கள்; அல்லாஹ் தன் வாக்குறுதிக்கு மாறு செய்வதேயில்லை; மேலும் உம்முடைய இறைவனிடம் ஒரு நாள் என்பது, நீங்கள் கணக்கிடுகிற ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளைப் போலாகும்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) அவர்கள் வேதனையை (அது எங்கே எனக்கேட்டு) உம்மிடம் அவசரமாகத் தேடுகின்றனர், அல்லாஹ் தன் வாக்கிற்கு ஒருபோதும் மாற்றம் செய்யமாட்டான், மேலும் நிச்சயமாக, உம் இரட்சகனிடத்தில் ஒரு நாளாகிறது, நீங்கள் கணக்கிடும் ஆயிரம் வருடங்கள் போன்றதாகும்.

They ask you to hasten the punishment, but Allah will not fail in His promise. A single day with your Lord is like one thousand years by your count.

Wakaayyin min qaryatin amlaytu laha wahiya thalimatun thumma akhathtuha wailayya almaseeru

And many a township did I give respite while it was given to wrongdoing. Then (in the end) I seized it (with punishment). And to Me is the (final) return (of all).

And for how many a city did I prolong enjoyment while it was committing wrong. Then I seized it, and to Me is the [final] destination.

நாம் எத்தனையோ ஊரார்களுக்கு அவகாசமளித்தோம். (திருந்தாது) பின்னும் அவர்கள் அநியாயமே செய்யத் தலைப் பட்டார்கள். ஆதலால், நாம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டோம். அவர்கள் (இறந்த பின்னரும்) நம்மிடம் தான் வரவேண்டியது இருக்கின்றது.

அநியாயங்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த எத்தனையோ ஊர்களுக்கு நான் அவகாசம் கொடுத்தேன்; பின்னர் அவற்றைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன்; மேலும் (யாவும்) என்னிடமே மீண்டும் வரவேண்டும்.

எத்தனையோ ஊர்(வாசி)கள் - அவை அநியாயம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த நிலையில் நான் அவற்றுக்கு அவகாசம் அளித்திருந்தேன், “(ஆனால் அவர்கள் அக்கிரமமே செய்து வந்தார்கள்.) பின்னர், நான் அவற்றைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டேன், (அவர்கள் இறந்த பின்னரும்) என்பாலே மீண்டும் வரவேண்டியதிருக்கின்றது.

to how many towns did I give respite when they were wrongdoers, then I seized them. And to Me is the final return.

Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu innama ana lakum natheerun mubeenun

Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "O mankind! I am (sent) to you only as a plain warner."

Say, "O people, I am only to you a clear warner."

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: "மனிதர்களே நான் உங்களுக்கு பகிரங்கமாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்பவனே(யன்றி வேறில்லை).""

“மனிதர்களே! நான் உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாக எச்சரிப்பவனாகவே இருக்கின்றேன்” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

(நபியே!) நீர் கூறும். மனிதர்களே! நான் உங்களுக்குத் தெளிவான அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கின்றவன்தான்.

Say, “O people, I am only sent to you as a clear warner.

Faallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum maghfiratun warizqun kareemun

So those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun Karîm (generous provision, i.e. Paradise).

And those who have believed and done righteous deeds - for them is forgiveness and noble provision.

ஆகவே, எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும் உண்டு; கண்ணியமான உணவும் உண்டு.

“எனவே, எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு (ஸாலிஹான) - நல்ல - செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பும், கண்ணியமான உணவும் உண்டு.

ஆகவே விசுவாசங்கொண்டு, நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர்-அவர்களுக்கு மன்னிப்பு, மற்றும் கண்ணியமான உணவும் உண்டு.

Those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and a generous provision.

Waallatheena saAAaw fee ayatina muAAajizeena olaika ashabu aljaheemi

But those who strive against Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate them, they will be dwellers of the Hell-fire.

But the ones who strove against Our verses, [seeking] to cause failure - those are the companions of Hellfire.

அன்றி, எவர்கள் நம்முடைய வசனங்களைத் தோற்கடிக்க முயற்சிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகளே!

“ஆனால், எவர்கள் நம்முடைய வசனங்களை தோற்கடிக்க முயல்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகளே!”

இன்னும், நம்முடைய வசனங்களில் (நம்மை) இயலாமலாக்குவதற்காக முயற்சிக்கின்றார்களே அத்தகையோர் - அவர்கள் நரகவாசிகள்!

But those who strive to discredit Our verses, they are the people of the Blazing Fire.”

Wama arsalna min qablika min rasoolin wala nabiyyin illa itha tamanna alqa alshshaytanu fee omniyyatihi fayansakhu Allahu ma yulqee alshshaytanu thumma yuhkimu Allahu ayatihi waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun

Never did We send a Messenger or a Prophet before you but when he did recite the Revelation or narrated or spoke, Shaitân (Satan) threw (some falsehood) in it. But Allâh abolishes that which Shaitân (Satan) throws in. Then Allâh establishes His Revelations. And Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise:

And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke [or recited], Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding]. But Allah abolishes that which Satan throws in; then Allah makes precise His verses. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

(நபியே!) உங்களுக்கு முன்னர் நாம் அனுப்பிய ஒவ்வொரு நபியும், தூதரும் (எதையும்) ஓதிய சமயத்தில் அவருடைய ஓதுதலில் ஷைத்தான் குழப்பத்தை உண்டு பண்ண முயற்சிக்காமல் இருக்கவில்லை. (அவர்களுடைய ஓதுதலில்) ஷைத்தான் உண்டுபண்ணிய (தப்பான)தை அல்லாஹ் நீக்கிய பின்னர்தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்தி விடுகின்றான். அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனும் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியே!) உமக்கு முன்னர் நாம் அனுப்பி வைத்த ஒவ்வொரு தூதரும், நபியும், (ஓதவோ, நன்மையையோ) நாடும்போது, அவர்களுடைய அந்த நாட்டத்தில் ஷைத்தான் குழப்பத்தை எறியாதிருந்ததில்லை; எனினும் ஷைத்தான் எறிந்த குழப்பத்தை அல்லாஹ் நீக்கியப் பின்னர் அவன் தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறான் - மேலும், அல்லாஹ் யாவற்றையும் அறிந்தவனாகவும், ஞானம் மிக்கோனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியே) உமக்கு முன் எந்தத் தூதரையும், எந்த நபியையும் அவர் ஒதினால், அவருடைய ஓதுதலில் ஷைத்தான் (நோயிருப்பவர்களின் நெஞ்சங்களில்) குழப்பத்தைப் போட்டே அல்லாமல் நாம் (அவர்களை) அனுப்பவில்லை, (அவர்களுடைய மனதில்) ஷைத்தான் போட்டதை அல்லாஹ் நீக்கிவிட்டு அதன் பின்னர், தன்னுடைய வசனங்களை (அறிவுடையோர்களுடைய இதயங்களில்) உறுதிப்படுத்திவிடுகிறான், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் யாவையும் நன்கறிந்தவன், தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன்.

We did not send any messenger or prophet before you except that when he recited, Satan would cast into it. But Allah would abolish what Satan casts, then Allah would confirm His verses, for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

LiyajAAala ma yulqee alshshaytanu fitnatan lillatheena fee quloobihim maradun waalqasiyati quloobuhum wainna alththalimeena lafee shiqaqin baAAeedin

That He (Allâh) may make what is thrown in by Shaitân (Satan) a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy and disbelief) and whose hearts are hardened. And certainly, the Zalimûn (polytheists and wrong doers) are in an opposition far-off (from the truth against Allâh's Messenger [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam] and the believers).

[That is] so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.

(இவ்வாறு) ஷைத்தான் உண்டுபண்ணும் தப்பானதை, எவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் நோய் இருக்கின்றதோ அல்லது எவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் (கல்லைப் போல்) கடினமாக இருக்கின்றனவோ அவர்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்கு (அல்லாஹ்) ஒரு காரணமாகவும் ஆக்கிவிடுகிறான். அன்றி, நிச்சயமாக (அத்தகைய கடினமான உள்ளங்களை உடைய) அநியாயக்காரர்கள் வெகு தூரமான விரோதத்தில்தான் இருக்கின்றனர்.

ஷைத்தான் (மனங்களில்) எறியும் குழப்பத்தை, தங்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் நோய் இருக்கிறதே அவர்களுக்கும், தங்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் கடினமாக இருக்கின்றனவே அவர்களுக்கும் ஒரு சோதனையாக ஆக்குவதற்கே (அவ்வாறு செய்தான்) அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக. அநியாயம் செய்பவர்கள், நீண்ட (எதிர்ப்பிலும்) பகையிலும் தான் திடனாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.

(இவ்வாறு) ஷைத்தான் போட்ட (குழப்பத்)தை எவர்களுடைய இதயங்களில் நோய் இருக்கின்றதோ அவர்களுக்கும், எவர்களுடைய இதயங்கள் (கல்லைப்போல்) கடினமாயிருக்கின்றனவோ அவர்களுக்கும் சோதனையாக ஆக்குவதற்காகவே (அல்லாஹ் அவ்வாறு செய்தான்.) நிச்சயமாக, அநியாயக்காரர்கள் வெகு தூரமான பிளவில்தான் இருக்கின்றனர்.

[That is] so that He may make what Satan casts a trial for those [hypocrites] whose hearts are sick and those [disbelievers] whose hearts are hardened, for indeed the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.

WaliyaAAlama allatheena ootoo alAAilma annahu alhaqqu min rabbika fayuminoo bihi fatukhbita lahu quloobuhum wainna Allaha lahadi allatheena amanoo ila siratin mustaqeemin

And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it (this Qur'ân) is the truth from your Lord, so that they may believe therein, and their hearts may submit to it with humility. And verily, Allâh is the Guide of those who believe, to a Straight Path.

And so those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and [therefore] believe in it, and their hearts humbly submit to it. And indeed is Allah the Guide of those who have believed to a straight path.

எவர்களுக்கு (மெய்யான) கல்வி ஞானம் கொடுக்கப் பட்டிருக்கின்றதோ அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாக இது உங்கள் இறைவனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மை என்று திட்டமாக அறிந்து இதை நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு தங்கள் மனப்பூர்வமாகவே அவனுக்கு கட்டுப்படுவார்கள். நிச்சயமாக எவர்கள் (மெய்யாகவே) நம்பிக்கை கொள்கிறார்களோ அவர்களை, அல்லாஹ் நேரான வழியில் செலுத்துகிறான்.

(ஆனால்) எவருக்கு கல்வி ஞானம் அளிக்கப்பட்டிருகின்றதோ அவர்கள், நிச்சயமாக இ(வ் வேதமான)து உம்முடைய இறைவனிடமிருந்துள்ள உண்மை என்று அறிந்து அதன் மீது ஈமான் கொள்வதற்காகவும் (அவ்வாறு செய்தான், அதன் பயனாக) அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்கள் அவன் முன் முற்றிலும் வழிப்பட்டுப் பணிகின்றன; மேலும்: திடனாக அல்லாஹ் ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களை நேரான வழியில் செலுத்துபவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

மேலும், அறிவு கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்களே அத்தகையவர்கள், நிச்சயமாக இ(வ் வேதமான)து உம் இரட்சகனிடமிருந்து வந்த உண்மை என அறிந்து அதை அவர்கள் விசுவாசிப்பதற்காகவும், இன்னும் (இதனால்) அவர்களின் இதயங்கள் அவனுக்குப் பணிவதற்காகவும் (அவ்வாறு செய்தான்.) மேலும், விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரை நிச்சயமாக அவர்களை, அல்லாஹ் நேரான வழியில் செலுத்துவான்

And so that those who were given knowledge may know that this [Qur’an] is the truth from your Lord, so they may believe in it and their hearts may become humbled to it. Allah surely guides those who believe to the straight path.

Wala yazalu allatheena kafaroo fee miryatin minhu hatta tatiyahumu alssaAAatu baghtatan aw yatiyahum AAathabu yawmin AAaqeemin

And those who disbelieved, will not cease to be in doubt about it (this Qur'ân) until the Hour comes suddenly upon them, or there comes to them the torment of the Day after which there will be no night (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.

(எனினும்) நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் தங்களிடம் திடீரென்று மறுமை (நாள்) வரும் வரையில் அல்லது கடினமான வேதனையுடைய நன்மையற்ற நாள் அவர்களிடம் வரும் வரையில் இதைப் பற்றிச் சந்தேகத்திலேயே ஆழ்ந்து கிடப்பார்கள்.

நிராகரித்தவர்கள் மறுமை நாள் திடீரென அவர்களிடம் வரும் வரை அல்லது மலட்டு நாளின் வேதனை அவர்களிடம் வரும் வரை அதுபற்றி சந்தேகத்திலேயே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

நிராகரிப்போர், தங்களிடம் மறுமைநாள் திடீரென வரும்வரை, அல்லது மலட்டுநாளின் வேதனை அவர்களிடம் வரும் வரையில், இ(வ்வேதத்)தைப் பற்றி சந்தேகத்திலேயே இருந்து கொண்டிருப்பர்.(18)

Yet the disbelievers will persist in doubt about it until the Hour comes upon them suddenly or there comes upon them the punishment of a Day devoid of all hope.

Almulku yawmaithin lillahi yahkumu baynahum faallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fee jannati alnnaAAeemi

The sovereignty on that Day will be that of Allâh (the One Who has no partners). He will judge between them. So, those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh – Islâmic Monotheism) and did righteous good deeds will be in Gardens of delight (Paradise).

[All] sovereignty that Day is for Allah; He will judge between them. So they who believed and did righteous deeds will be in the Gardens of Pleasure.

அந்நாளில், சர்வ அதிகாரமும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது. அவனே அவர்களுக்குத் தீர்ப்பளிப்பான். எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்கள் செய்கிறார்களோ அவர்கள் மிக்க சுகமளிக்கும் சுவனபதியில் தங்கிவிடுவார்கள்.

அந்நாளில் எல்லா அதிகாரமும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குத் தான். அவன் அவர்களுக்கிடையில் தீர்ப்பு வழங்குவான்; ஆகவே ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) செயல்களைச் செய்பவர்கள் பாக்கியம் மிக்க சுவனபதிகளில் இருப்பார்கள்.

அந்நாளில், (சர்வ அதிகாரமும் கொண்ட) ஆட்சி அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே உரியது, அவனே அவர்களுக்கிடையில் தீர்ப்பளிப்பான், ஆகவே, விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்கருமங்களும் செய்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோர் அருட்கொடைகள் உடைய சுவனபதிகளில் இருப்பார்கள்.

The sovereignty on that Day belongs to Allah; He will judge between them, then those who believed and did righteous deeds will be in the Gardens of Bliss.

Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina faolaika lahum AAathabun muheenun

And those who disbelieved and denied Our Verses (of this Qur'ân), for them will be a humiliating torment (in Hell).

And they who disbelieved and denied Our signs - for those there will be a humiliating punishment.

எவர்கள் (நம்முடைய தீர்ப்பை) நிராகரித்து, நம்முடைய வசனங்களை பொய்யாக்குகின்றார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு இழிவு தரும் வேதனை உண்டு.

(ஆனால்) எவர்கள் நிராகரித்து நம் வசனங்களைப் பொய்ப்பிக்க முற்பட்டார்களோ, அவர்களுக்குத்தான் இழிவு மிக்க வேதனை உண்டு.

இன்னும், நிராகரித்து, நம்முடைய வசனங்களைப் பொய்யாக்குகிறார்களே அத்தகையோர்- அவர்களுக்கே இழிவுதரும் வேதனையுண்டு.

But those who disbelieve and reject Our verses, for them there will be a humiliating punishment.

Waallatheena hajaroo fee sabeeli Allahi thumma qutiloo aw matoo layarzuqannahumu Allahu rizqan hasanan wainna Allaha lahuwa khayru alrraziqeena

Those who emigrated in the Cause of Allâh and after that were killed or died, surely, Allâh will provide a good provision for them. And verily, it is Allâh Who indeed is the Best of those who make provision.

And those who emigrated for the cause of Allah and then were killed or died - Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers.

எவர்கள் (தங்கள் இல்லங்களை விட்டு) அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வழியில் புறப்பட்டு பின்னர் (போரில்) வெட்டுப்படுகிறார்களோ அல்லது இறந்து விடுகின்றனரோ அவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க அழகான (முறையில்) உணவளிக்கிறான். ஏனென்றால், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், உணவளிப்பவர்களில் எல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

இன்னும், எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் (தம் இருப்பிடங்களை விட்டு) ஹிஜ்ரத் செய்து பின்னர் கொல்லப்பட்டோ அல்லது இறந்தோ விடுகிறார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் அழகிய உணவை நிச்சயமாக அளிக்கின்றான்; (ஏனெனில்) உணவளிப்பவர்களிலெல்லாம் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வே மிக்க மேலானவன்.

மேலும், அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் (ஹிஜ்ரத்துச் செய்து) புறப்பட்டு, பின்னர் (யுத்தத்தில்) கொல்லப்பட்டோ, அல்லது இறந்தோ விடுகின்றனரே) அத்தகையோர் - அவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், மிக்க அழகான (முறையில்) உணவளிக்கிறான், இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் - அவன்தான் உணவளிப்பவர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக்க மேலானவன்.

As for those who emigrate in the cause of Allah and are killed or died, Allah will surely give them a goodly provision. Indeed, Allah is the Best of Providers.

Layudkhilannahum mudkhalan yardawnahu wainna Allaha laAAaleemun haleemun

Truly, He will make them enter an entrance with which they shall be well-pleased, and verily, Allâh indeed is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

He will surely cause them to enter an entrance with which they will be pleased, and indeed, Allah is Knowing and Forbearing.

ஆகவே, நிச்சயமாக அவன் அவர்களை அவர்கள் விரும்பக்கூடிய இடத்தில் சேர்த்து விடுவான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனும், மிக்க பொறுமையுடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக அவன் அவர்கள் விரும்பும் இடத்தில் அவர்களை பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வான்; மேலும்: நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக அறிந்தவன், மிக்க பொறுமையுடையவன்.

(ஆகவே) நிச்சயமாக, எதனை அவர்கள் பொருந்திக் கொள்கிறார்களோ அப்பிரவேசிக்குமிடத்தில் அவன் அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வான், மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் யாவையும் நன்கறிகிறவன், மிகுந்த சகிப்புத் தன்மையுடையவன்.

He will surely admit them to a place that they will be pleased with, and Allah is surely All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

Thalika waman AAaqaba bimithli ma AAooqiba bihi thumma bughiya AAalayhi layansurannahu Allahu inna Allaha laAAafuwwun ghafoorun

That is so. And whoever has retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer, and then has again been wronged, Allâh will surely help him. Verily, Allâh indeed is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.

That [is so]. And whoever responds [to injustice] with the equivalent of that with which he was harmed and then is tyrannized - Allah will surely aid him. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving.

இவ்வாறே (காரியம் நடைபெறும்.) எவரேனும் தன்னை (எதிரி) துன்புறுத்திய மாதிரியே அந்தளவுக்கு அவனைத் துன்புறுத்தி விட்டு, பின்னும் அவனை (அந்த எதிரியை)க் கொடுமை செய்தால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (கொடுமைக்குள்ளான) அவனுக்கு உதவி புரிவான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவனும், பிழை பொறுப்பவனாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.

அது (அப்படியே ஆகும்) எவன் தான் துன்புறுத்தப்படும் அளவே (துன்புறுத்தியவனை) தண்டித்து அதன் பின் அவன் மீது கொடுமை செய்யப்படுமானால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அவனுக்கு உதவி செய்வான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க மன்னிப்பவன்; பிழை பொறுப்பவன்.

(அத்தகைய அருட்கொடைகள் அனைத்தும் கொண்ட) அது (அவர்களுக்கே உரியதாகும்.) மேலும், எவர் தான் எதனால் துன்புறுத்தப்பட்டாரோ அது போன்றே (துன்புறுத்தியவரை) தண்டித்துவிட்டு, அதன் பின்னர் அவர் மீது கொடுமை செய்யப்படுமானால் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியேற்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

That is so. Whoever retaliates against an aggressive act with its like and is wronged again, Allah will surely help him. Indeed, Allah is Ever-Pardoning, All-Forgiving.

Thalika bianna Allaha yooliju allayla fee alnnahari wayooliju alnnahara fee allayli waanna Allaha sameeAAun baseerun

That is because Allâh merges the night into the day, and He merges the day into the night. And verily, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Seer.

That is because Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and because Allah is Hearing and Seeing.

இதன் காரணமாவது: நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இரவைப் பகலிலும், பகலை இரவிலும் நுழைய வைக்(க ஆற்றலுடையவனாக இருக்)கிறான். (அதைப் போன்றே துன்புறுத்தும் கெட்டவனை நல்லவனாகவும், துன்பத்திற்குள்ளான நல்லவனைக் கெட்ட வனாகவும் ஆக்கிவிடுகிறான்.) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அனைத்தையும் செவியுறுபவனாகவும் உற்று நோக்கினவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அது(ஏனென்றால்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இரவைப் பகலில் புகுத்துகிறான்; பகலை இரவில் புகுத்துகிறான்; இன்னும்: நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாவற்றையும்) கேட்பவனாகவும், பார்ப்பவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அ(வ்வாறு உதவி செய்த)து நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ், இரவைப் பகலில் புகுத்துகிறான், பகலை இரவில் புகுத்துகிறான் எனும் (அவனது வல்லமையின்) காரணத்தினாலாகும், இன்னும் (அனைத்தையும்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியேற்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

That is because it is Allah Who causes the night to merge into the day, and causes the day to merge into the night. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

Thalika bianna Allaha huwa alhaqqu waanna ma yadAAoona min doonihi huwa albatilu waanna Allaha huwa alAAaliyyu alkabeeru

That is because Allâh – He is the Truth (the only True God of all that exists, Who has no partners or rivals with Him), and what they (the polytheists) invoke besides Him, it is Bâtil (falsehood). And verily, Allâh He is the Most High, the Most Great.

That is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Grand.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் உண்மையானவன். நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி (இறைவனென) அழைப்பவை யாவும் பொய்யானவை ஆகும் (என்பதும்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் உயர்ந்தவன், (மேலானவன்,) மகா பெரியவன் (என்பதும் இதற்குக் காரணமாகும்).

இது (ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் உண்மை (இறைவன்); மற்றும் அவனையன்றி (வேறு) எதை அவர்கள் பிரார்த்திக்கிறார்களோ - அது பொய்யாகும்; இன்னும்: நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் - அவனே உயர்ந்தவன், மிகவும் பெரியவன்.

(இரவைப் பகலிலும் பகலை இரவிலும் நுழைவிக்கும் மாபெரிய ஆற்றலாகிய) அது, (ஏனெனில்) நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் -அவன் தான் உண்மையானவன், மற்றும் நிச்சயமாக அவனையன்றி (வேறு) எதை அவர்கள் பிரார்த்திக்கின்றார்களோ அதுவே பொய்யானதாகும், இன்னும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் - அவன்தான் மிக உயர்ந்தவன், மிகப் பெரியவன் என்பதினாலுமாகும்.

That is because it is Allah Who is the Truth and whatever they invoke besides Him is falsehood, and it is Allah Who is the Most High, the Most Great.

Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssamai maan fatusbihu alardu mukhdarratan inna Allaha lateefun khabeerun

See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and then the earth becomes green? Verily, Allâh is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things.

Do you not see that Allah has sent down rain from the sky and the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையை பொழியச் செய்கிறான். (அதனால்) பூமி பசுமையாகி விடுகின்றது. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அதிக நுட்பமுடையவனும் அனைத்தையும் நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானத்திலிருந்து (மழை) நீரை இறக்குகிறான்; அதனால் பூமி பசுமையாகி விடுகிறது என்பதை நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் கிருபையுடையவன்; நன்கறிந்தவன்.

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானத்திலிருந்து நீரை (மழையை) இறக்குகிறான், (அதனால்) பூமி பசுமையாகிவிடுகிறது என்பதை (நபியே!) நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? “நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நுட்பமாக அறிகிறவன், (யாவையும்) நண்குணர்பவன்.

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky whereupon the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware.

Lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi wainna Allaha lahuwa alghaniyyu alhameedu

To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth. And verily, Allâh He is Rich (Free of all needs), Worthy of all praise.

To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் உள்ள யாவும் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு உரியனவே! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்தான் (பிறரின் உதவி) தேவை அற்றவனும் புகழுக்கு உரியவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

வானங்களில் உள்ளவையும், பூமியில் உள்ளவையும் அவனுக்கே உரியவனவாகும்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தேவைகள் அற்றவனாகவும் புகழ் மிக்கோனாகவும் இருக்கிறான்.

வானங்களில் உள்ளவையும், பூமியில் உள்ளவையும் அவனுக்கே உரியவையாகும், மேலும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் - அவன்தான் (பிறரின்) தேவையற்றவன், புகழுக்குரியவன்.

To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, and indeed it is Allah Who is the Self-Sufficient, the Praiseworthy.

Alam tara anna Allaha sakhkhara lakum ma fee alardi waalfulka tajree fee albahri biamrihi wayumsiku alssamaa an taqaAAa AAala alardi illa biithnihi inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun

See you not that Allâh has subjected to you (mankind) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except by His Leave. Verily, Allâh is, for mankind, full of kindness, Most Merciful.

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He restrains the sky from falling upon the earth, unless by His permission. Indeed Allah, to the people, is Kind and Merciful.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் பார்க்கவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பூமியிலுள்ள அனைத்தையும் உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்திக் கொடுக்கின்றான். கப்பல் அவனுடைய கட்டளைப்படி கடலில் செல்கிறது. தன்னுடைய அனுமதியின்றி பூமியின் மீது வானம் விழாது அவன் தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்கள் மீது மிக்க அன்பும் கிருபையும் உடையவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.

(நபியே!) நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் இப்பூமியிலுள்ளவற்றையும், அவன் கட்டளையால் கடலில் செல்லும் கப்பல்களையும் உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்தித் தந்திருக்கின்றான்; தன் அனுமதியின்றி பூமியின் மீது வானம் விழுந்துவிடாதவாறு அவன் தடுத்து கொண்டிருக்கிறான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்கள் மீது மிக்க இரக்கமும், அன்பும் உள்ளவன்.

(நபியே!) நீர் பார்க்கவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் பூமியிலுள்ளவற்றையும், அவனுடைய கட்டளையைக் கொண்டு கடலில் செல்லும் கப்பலையும், உங்களுக்கு வசப்படுத்தித் தந்திருக்கிறான், வானத்தை – அது தன்னுடைய அனுமதியின்றி, பூமியின் மீது விழுந்து விடாதவாறும் அவன் அதனை தடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறான், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மனிதர்கள் மீது இரக்கமுடையவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்.

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His command? He holds the sky from falling down on the earth except by His permission. Indeed, Allah is Ever Gracious and Most Merciful to people.

Wahuwa allathee ahyakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum inna alinsana lakafoorun

It is He, Who gave you life, and then will cause you to die, and will again give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Verily, man is indeed an ingrate.

And He is the one who gave you life; then He causes you to die and then will [again] give you life. Indeed, mankind is ungrateful.

அவன்தான் உங்களை உயிர்ப்பித்தான். அவன்தான் உங்களை மரணிக்கச் செய்வான். பின்னும், அவனே உங்களை உயிர்ப்பிப்பான். எனினும், நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் மிக நன்றி கெட்டவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

இன்னும்: அவன்தான் உங்களை வாழச் செய்கிறான்; பிறகு அவனே மரணம் அடையச் செய்கிறான். அதன் பின்னர் அவனே உங்களை உயிர்ப்பிப்பவன் (எனினும்) நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் நன்றிகெட்டவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

இன்னும், அவன் எத்தகையவனென்றால், உங்களுக்கு அவன் உயிரளித்தான், பின்னர் உங்களை அவன் மரணிக்கச்செய்வான், பின்னர் உங்களை அவன் உயிர்ப்பிப்பான், (எனினும்) நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் மிக நன்றி கெட்டவனாக இருக்கிறான்.

It is He Who gave you life, then will cause you to die, then He will bring you back to life. Indeed, man is ever ungrateful.

Likulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakan hum nasikoohu fala yunaziAAunnaka fee alamri waodAAu ila rabbika innaka laAAala hudan mustaqeemin

For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies [e.g. slaughtering of the cattle during the three days of stay at Mîna (Makkah) during the Hajj (pilgrimage)] which they must follow; so let them (the pagans) not dispute with you on the matter (i.e. to eat of the cattle which you slaughter, and not to eat of the cattle which Allâh kills by its natural death), but invite them to your Lord. Verily, you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) indeed are on the (true) straight guidance (i.e. the true religion of Islâmic Monotheism).

For every religion We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muhammad], let the disbelievers not contend with you over the matter but invite them to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.

(நபியே!) ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பாருக்கும் (அந்தந்தக் காலத்திற்குத் தக்கவாறு) அவர்கள் வணங்குவதற்குரிய வழியை நாம் ஏற்படுத்தி இருந்தோம். ஆகவே, (உங்களுடைய காலத்தில் உங்களுக்கு) நாம் ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கும் வழியைப் பற்றி அவர்கள் உங்களுடன் தர்க்கம் செய்ய வேண்டாம். அன்றி, நீங்கள் அவர்களை உங்களுடைய இறைவன் (ஏற்படுத்திய வழியின்) பக்கம் அழையுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் நேரான வழியில்தான் இருக்கின்றீர்கள்.

(நபியே!) ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்தாருக்கும் வணக்க வழிபாட்டு முறையை ஏற்படுத்தினோம்; அதனை அவர்கள் பின்பற்றினர்; எனவே இக்காரியத்தில் அவர்கள் திடனாக உம்மிடம் பிணங்க வேண்டாம்; இன்னும்: நீர் (அவர்களை) உம்முடைய இறைவன் பக்கம் அழைப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக நீர் நேர்வழியில் இருக்கின்றீர்.

(நபியே!) ஒவ்வொரு சமூகத்தினருக்கும் வழிபாட்டுமுறையை நாம் ஆக்கினோம், அவர்கள் அதனை (முறையாக)ச் செய்கிறவர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர், ஆகவே, அவர்கள் திட்டமாக இக்காரியத்தில் உம்முடன் பிணங்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டாம், இன்னும், நீர் அவர்களை உம்முடைய இரட்சகன் (ஏற்படுத்திய வழியின்) பக்கம் அழைப்பீராக! நிச்சயமாக நீர் தான் நேர்வழியில் இருக்கின்றீர்.

For every community We ordained ways of worship which they follow, so do not let them dispute with you [O Prophet] in this matter. But call them to your Lord, for you are indeed on the straight guidance.

Wain jadalooka faquli Allahu aAAlamu bima taAAmaloona

And if they argue with you (as regards the slaughtering of the sacrifices), say "Allâh knows best of what you do.

And if they dispute with you, then say, "Allah is most knowing of what you do.

(நபியே!) பின்னும் அவர்கள் உங்களுடன் தர்க்கித்தாலோ (அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கிறான். (என்றும்)

(நபியே!) பின்னும் அவர்கள் உம்மிடம் தர்க்கம் செய்தால்: “நீங்கள் செய்வதை அல்லாஹ்வே நன்கறிந்தவன்” என்று (அவர்களிடம்) கூறுவீராக.

(நபியே! பின்னும்) அவர்கள் உம்முடன் தர்க்கம் செய்தாலோ, “நீங்கள் செய்பவைகளை அல்லாஹ் மிக அறிந்தவன்” என்று (அவர்களுக்கு) நீர் கூறுவீராக!

And if they argue with you, say, “Allah knows best what you are doing.”

Allahu yahkumu baynakum yawma alqiyamati feema kuntum feehi takhtalifoona

"Allâh will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein you used to differ."

Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which you used to differ."

நீங்கள் எவ்விஷயத்தில் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்களோ அதைப் பற்றி மறுமை நாளில் அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கிடையில் தீர்ப்பளிப்பான்" என்றும் கூறுங்கள்.

“நீங்கள் எ(வ் விஷயத்)தில் முரண்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்களோ, அதைப்பற்றி அல்லாஹ் கியாம நாளில் உங்களுக்கிடையே தீர்ப்பளிப்பான்.”

நீங்கள் எதில் (என்னுடன்) கருத்து வேறுபாடு கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்களோ அதில் அல்லாஹ் மறுமை நாளில் உங்களிடையே தீர்ப்பளிப்பான் (என்றும் கூறுவீராக!)

Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which you used to differ.

Alam taAAlam anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamai waalardi inna thalika fee kitabin inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun

Know you not that Allâh knows all that is in the heaven and on the earth? Verily, it is (all) in the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz). Verily, that is easy for Allâh.

Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed that, for Allah, is easy.

(நபியே!) வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும் இருப்பவற்றை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் நன்கறிவான் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக இவை யாவும் அவனுடைய (நிகழ்ச்சிக் குறிப்பாகிய) "லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூளில்" இருக்கின்றன. நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக்க சுலபமானதே!

நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வானத்திலும், பூமியிலும் உள்ளவற்றை நன்கறிகிறான் என்பதை நீர் அறியவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக இவை(யெல்லாம்) ஒரு புத்தகத்தில் (பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு) இருக்கின்றன. நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிகவும் சுலபமானது.

(நபியே!) வானத்திலும், பூமியிலும் இருப்பவற்றை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அறிவான் என்பதை நீர் அறியவில்லையா? நிச்சயமாக இது (லவ்ஹூல் மஹ்ஃபூல் என்னும்) புத்தகத்தில் இருக்கின்றது, நிச்சயமாக இது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக்க சுலபமானதேயாகும்.

Do you not know that Allah knows all that is in the heaven and on earth? That is all [written] in a Record. This is indeed easy for Allah.

WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma lam yunazzil bihi sultanan wama laysa lahum bihi AAilmun wama lilththalimeena min naseerin

And they worship besides Allâh others for which He has sent down no authority, and of which they have no knowledge; and for the Zâlimûn (wrong doers, polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh) there is no helper.

And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.

(நபியே! நிராகரிப்பவர்களாகிய) அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை வணங்குகின்றனர். இதற்கு அவர்களிடம் (அல்லாஹ்) யாதொரு அத்தாட்சியும் அளிக்கவில்லை; அன்றி, அவர்களிடம் கல்வி சம்பந்தமான யாதொரு ஆதாரமும் இல்லை. இத்தகைய அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு (மறுமையில்) உதவி செய்பவர்கள் ஒருவருமிரார்.

மேலும்: இவர்கள் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாததை வணங்குகின்றனர்; இதற்கு அவன் எந்த விதமான அத்தாட்சியையும் இறக்கவில்லை; இதைப்பற்றி இ(வ்வாறு வணங்குப)வர்களுக்கு எவ்விதக் கல்வியாதாரமும் இல்லை; எனவே, இத்தகைய அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வோர் இல்லை.

(நபியே!) இன்னும் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி – அதற்கு அவன் எந்தச் சான்றையும் இறக்கி வைக்காததையும், இன்னும், எதுபற்றிய அறிவு அவர்களுக்கில்லையோ அதையும் வணங்குகின்றனர், (இத்தகைய) அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு (மறுமையில்) உதவி செய்வோர் எவருமில்லை.

Yet they worship other than Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority, and of which they have no knowledge. The wrongdoers will have no helper.

Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin taAArifu fee wujoohi allatheena kafaroo almunkara yakadoona yastoona biallatheena yatloona AAalayhim ayatina qul afaonabbiokum bisharrin min thalikum alnnaru waAAadaha Allahu allatheena kafaroo wabisa almaseeru

And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, you will notice a denial on the faces of the disbelievers! They are nearly ready to attack with violence those who recite Our Verses to them. Say: "Shall I tell you of something worse than that? The Fire (of Hell) which Allâh has promised to those who disbelieved, and worst indeed is that destination!"

And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve disapproval. They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite to them Our verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that? [It is] the Fire which Allah has promised those who disbelieve, and wretched is the destination."

அவர்கள் மீது நம்முடைய தெளிவான வசனங்கள் ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால் அதனை நிராகரிக்கும் இவர்களுடைய முகங்களில் வெறுப்பை நீங்கள் காண்பீர்கள். நம்முடைய வசனங்களை அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிப்பவர்கள் மீது இவர்கள் பாய்ந்து விடுவார்கள் போலும்! (ஆகவே, இவர்களை நோக்கி) நீங்கள் கூறுங்கள்: நான் உங்களுக்கு இதனைவிட கொடியதொரு விஷயத்தை அறிவிக்கவா? (அது நரக) நெருப்புதான். அதனையே (உங்களைப் போன்ற) நிராகரிப்பவருக்கு அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்து இருக்கிறான். (அது) சேருமிடங்களிலெல்லாம் மிகக் கெட்டது.

இன்னும் அவர்கள் மீது நம்முடைய தெளிவான வசனங்கள் ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால், காஃபிர்களுடைய முகங்களில் வெறுப்பை நீர் அறிவீர்; அவர்களிடம் நம் வசனங்களை ஓதிக் காட்டுபவர்களை அவர்கள் தாக்கவும் முற்படுவார்கள். “இன்னும் கொடூரமானதை நான் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கட்டுமா? (அதுதான் நரக) நெருப்பு; அதனை அல்லாஹ் காஃபிர்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கிறான்; மேலும்: அது மீளும் இடங்களிலெல்லாம் மிகவும் கெட்டது” என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

இன்னும் தெளிவானவைகளான நம்முடைய வசனங்கள் இவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டால், (அவற்றை) நிராகரிப்பவர்களுடைய முகங்களில் (கோபத்தினால் ஏற்பட்ட) வெறுப்பை நீர் அறிவீர்; நம்முடைய வசனங்களை அவர்களுக்கு ஓதிக்காண்பிப்போரை அவர்கள் தாக்குவதற்கு நெருங்குவர், (ஆகவே,) இவர்களிடம் நீர் கூறுவீராக! “நான் உங்களுக்கு இதனைவிடக் கெட்டதை அறிவிக்கட்டுமா? (அது நரக) நெருப்புத்தான், அதனையே (உங்களைப் போன்ற) நிராகரிப்போருக்கு அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்திருக்கின்றான், (அது) சேருமிடத்திலும் மிகக்கெட்டது.”

When Our verses are recited to them clearly, you notice disgust on the faces of the disbelievers, as if they are about to attack those who recite Our verses to them. Say, “Shall I inform you of something worse than what you feel at present? It is the Fire! Allah has promised it to those who disbelieve; what a terrible destination!

Ya ayyuha alnnasu duriba mathalun faistamiAAoo lahu inna allatheena tadAAoona min dooni Allahi lan yakhluqoo thubaban walawi ijtamaAAoo lahu wain yaslubuhumu alththubabu shayan la yastanqithoohu minhu daAAufa alttalibu waalmatloobu

O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily, those on whom you call besides Allâh, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatches away a thing from them, they will have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought.

O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a [tiny] thing, they could not recover it from him. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.

மனிதர்களே! உங்களுக்கு ஓர் உதாரணம் கூறப்படுகிறது: அதனைச் செவி தாழ்த்திக் கேளுங்கள். அல்லாஹ் அல்லாத எவற்றை நீங்கள் (தெய்வங்களென) அழைக்கின்றீர்களோ அவை யாவும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்(து முயற்சித்)த போதிலும் ஓர் ஈயைக் கூட படைக்க முடியாது. (ஈயைப் படைப்பதென்ன!) ஒரு ஈ அவற்றினுடைய யாதொரு பொருளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டபோதிலும் அந்த ஈயிடமிருந்து அதனை விடுவிக்கவும் அவைகளால் முடியாது. (அவர்கள் தெய்வங்களென அழைக்கும்) அவை அவ்வளவு பலவீனமானவை! ஆகவே, அவற்றை(த் தெய்வங்களென) அழைப்பவர்களும் பலவீனமானவர்களே!

மனிதர்களே! ஓர் உதாரணம் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. எனவே செவிதாழ்த்திக் கேளுங்கள். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி (வேறு) எவர்களை நீங்கள் பிரார்த்திக்கின்றீர்களோ, அவர்களெல்லாம் ஒன்று சேர்ந்தாலும் ஓர் ஈயைக்கூடப் படைக்க முடியாது; இன்னும், அவர்களிடமிருந்து ஒரு பொருளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு போனால் அவர்களால் அதனை அந்த ஈயிடத்திலிருந்து திரும்பக் கைப்பற்றவும் முடியாது; தேடுவோனும், தேடப்படுவோனும் பலஹீனர்களே.

மனிதர்களே! ஓர் உதாரணம் கூறப்படுகிறது, ஆகவே அதனை(ச்செவிதாழ்த்தி)க் கேளுங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (தெய்வங்களென) அழைக்கிறீர்களே அத்தகையவர்கள் - அவர்கள் அதற்காக ஒன்று கூடினாலும் சரியே! ஒரு ‘ஈ’யைக்கூட படைக்கவே மாட்டார்கள், மேலும் ஓர் ‘ஈ’ அவர்களிடமிருந்து ஏதேனும் ஒரு பொருளை பறித்துக் கொண்டாலும் அதனை அதனிடமிருந்து விடுவிக்கவும் அவர்களால் முடியாது, (ஏனென்றால் அவற்றை தெய்வங்களெனத்) தேடுபவரும் (அவர்களால் தெய்வங்களென) தேடப்படுகிறவரும் பலவீனமடைந்துவிட்டனர்.

O people, a similitude is set forth, so listen to it: those whom you invoke besides Allah can never create even a fly, even if they all come together for that. And if a fly snatches something away from them, they cannot retrieve it. How feeble is the invoker as well as the invoked!

Ma qadaroo Allaha haqqa qadrihi inna Allaha laqawiyyun AAazeezun

They have not estimated Allâh His Rightful Estimate. Verily, Allâh is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

அல்லாஹ்வை கண்ணியப்படுத்த வேண்டியவாறு அவர்கள் கண்ணியப்படுத்தவில்லை. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வலுமிக்கவனும் அனைவரையும் மிகைத்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வைக் கண்ணியப்படுத்த வேண்டியவாறு கண்ணியப்படுத்தவில்லை; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வல்லமை மிக்கவன்; (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.

அல்லாஹ்வை அவனுடைய தகுதிக்குத் தக்கவாறு அவர்கள் மதிக்கவில்லை, நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மிக்க பலம் வாய்ந்தவன் (யாவரையும்) மிகைத்தவன்.

They have not revered Allah the reverence He deserves. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty.

Allahu yastafee mina almalaikati rusulan wamina alnnasi inna Allaha sameeAAun baseerun

Allâh chooses Messengers from angels and from men. Verily, Allâh is All-Hearer, All-Seer.

Allah chooses from the angels messengers and from the people. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing.

மலக்குகளிலிருந்தும் மனிதர்களிலிருந்தும் அல்லாஹ் (தன்னுடைய) தூதர்களைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான். நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் செவியுறுபவனும் உற்று நோக்குபவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

அல்லாஹ் மலக்குகளிலிருந்தும், மனிதர்களிலிருந்தும் தூதர்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான்! நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (எல்லாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்பவன்; பார்ப்பவன்.

அல்லாஹ் - மலக்குகளிலிருந்தும் மனிதர்களிலிருந்தும் தூதர்களை – அவன் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (யாவற்றையும்) செவியேற்கிறவன், பார்க்கிறவன்.

Allah chooses messengers from the angels and from mankind. Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru

He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allâh return all matters (for decision).

He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them. And to Allah will be returned [all] matters.

அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் (சென்று) இருப்பவைகளையும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்(னர் வர) இருப்பவைகளையும் அவன் நன்கறிந்தவன். எல்லா விஷயங்களும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே திரும்ப கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

அவர்களுக்கு முன் (சென்று) இருப்பதையும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின் (வர) இருப்பதையும் அவன் நன்கறிகிறான். இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்விடமே எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் (தீர்வுக்காக) மீட்கப்படும்.

அவர்களுக்கு முன்(னர் சென்று) இருப்பவற்றையும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்(னர் வர) இருப்பவற்றையும் அவன் அறிவான், இன்னும் எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் அல்லாஹ்வின் பக்கமே (தீர்ப்புக்காக) திருப்பிக் கொண்டு வரப்படும்.

He knows all that is ahead of them and all that is behind them, and to Allah returns all matters.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo irkaAAoo waosjudoo waoAAbudoo rabbakum waifAAaloo alkhayra laAAallakum tuflihoona

O you who have believed! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful.

O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.

நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! நீங்கள் குனிந்து சிரம் பணிந்து உங்கள் இறைவனை வணங்குங்கள். நன்மையே செய்து கொண்டிருங்கள். அதனால் நீங்கள் வெற்றியடையலாம்.

ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் ருகூஃ செய்யுங்கள்; இன்னும் ஸஜ்தாவும் செய்யுங்கள்; இன்னும் உங்கள் இறைவனை வணங்குங்கள்; மேலும்: நீங்கள் வெற்றி பெரும் பொருட்டு, நன்மையே செய்யுங்கள்.

விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே” நீங்கள் (குனிந்து) ருகூஉச் செய்யுங்கள், இன்னும் (சிரம் பணிந்து) ஸுஜூதும் செய்யுங்கள், இன்னும் உங்கள் இரட்சகனை வணங்குங்கள், மேலும் வெற்றியடைவதற்காக நன்மையைச் செய்யுங்கள்.

O you who believe, bow down and prostrate, worship Your Lord and do good, so that you may succeed.

Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqa jihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAala AAalaykum fee alddeeni min harajin millata abeekum ibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qablu wafee hatha liyakoona alrrasoolu shaheedan AAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasi faaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata waiAAtasimoo biAllahi huwa mawlakum faniAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru

And strive hard in Allâh's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islâmic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion of Islâm), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship: it is the religion of your father Ibrâhîm (Abraham) (Islâmic Monotheism). It is He (Allâh) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'ân), that the Messenger (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So, perform As-Salât (the prayers), give Zakât (obligatory charity) and hold fast to Allâh [i.e. have confidence in Allâh, and depend upon Him in all your affairs]. He is your Maulâ (Patron, Lord), what an Excellent Maulâ (Patron, Lord) and what an Excellent Helper!

And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.

(நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே!) நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் முயற்சிக்க வேண்டியவாறு முயற்சியுங்கள். அவனே உங்களைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்(து மேன்மையாக்கி வைத்)திருக்கிறான். இந்த மார்க்கத்தில் அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு கஷ்டத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தவில்லை. இது உங்கள் பிதாவாகிய இப்றாஹீமுடைய மார்க்கமாகும். அவர்தான் இதற்கு முன்னர் உங்களுக்கு முஸ்லிம்கள் எனப் பெயரிட்டவர். இ(வ்வேதத்)திலும் (அவ்வாறே உங்களுக்குப் பெயர் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதற்கு) நம்முடைய இத்தூதரே உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறார். நீங்கள் மற்ற மனிதர்களுக்கு சாட்சியாக இருங்கள். தொழுகையை கடைப்பிடித்தொழுகுங்கள்; ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள். அல்லாஹ்வைப் பலமாகப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவன்தான் உங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலன் (பொறுப்பாளன்). அவனே சிறந்த பாதுகாவலன்; சிறந்த உதவியாளன்.

இன்னும் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் அவனுக்காக போராட வேண்டிய முறைப்படி போராடுங்கள்; அவன் உங்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொண்டான்; இந்த தீனில் (மார்க்கத்தில்) அவன் உங்களுக்கு எந்த சிரமத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தவில்லை; இது தான் உங்கள் பிதாவாகிய இப்றாஹீமுடைய மார்க்கமாகும்; அவன்தாம் இதற்கு முன்னர் உங்களுக்கு முஸ்லிம்கள் எனப் பெயரிட்டான். இ(வ்வேதத்)திலும் (அவ்வாறே கூறப் பெற்றுள்ளது); இதற்கு நம்முடைய இத்தூதர் உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறார்; இன்னும் நீங்கள் மற்ற மனிதர்களின் மீது சாட்சியாக இருக்கிறீர்கள் எனவே நீங்கள் தொழுகையை நிலை நிறுத்துங்கள் இன்னும் ஜகாத்தைக் கொடுத்து வாருங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வைப் பற்றிக் கொள்ளுங்கள், அவன்தான் உங்கள் பாதுகாவலன்; இன்னும் அவனே மிகச் சிறந்த பாதுகாவலன்; இன்னும் அவனே மிகச் சிறந்த பாதுகாவலன், இன்னும் மிகச் சிறந்த உதவியாளன்.

(விசுவாசங்கொண்டோரே!) இன்னும் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய பாதையில் (உங்களுடைய முழு சக்தியையும் பயன்படுத்தி) அறப்போர் செய்ய வேண்டிய முறைப்படி அறப்போர் (ஜிஹாது) செய்யுங்கள்; அவனே உங்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து மேன்மையாக்கி வைத்திருக்கிறான்; இந்த மார்க்கத்தில் அவன் உங்களுக்கு யாதொரு சிரமத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தவில்லை; உங்களுடைய தந்தை இப்ராஹீமுடைய மார்க்கத்தை (கடைபிடியுங்கள்!) அவன்தான் (இதற்கு) முன்னர், உங்களுக்கு முஸ்லீம்கள் எனப் பெயரிட்டான்; இ(வ் வேதத்)திலும்தான் (அவ்வாறே உங்களுக்குப் பெயர் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது; இது ஏனெனில், நம்முடைய) இத்தூதரே உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக இருப்பதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் மற்ற மனிதர்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக இருப்பதற்காகவுமேயாகும்; எனவே, தொழுகையை நீங்கள் நிறைவேற்றுங்கள், ஜகாத்தையும் கொடுங்கள், அல்லாஹ்வை (அவனின் மார்க்கத்தை)ப் பலமாகப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள், அவன் தான் உங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலன், பாதுகாவலனில் அவன் நல்லவன், மேலும் நல்ல உதவியாளன்.

Strive in the cause of Allah in a due manner. He has chosen you and has not imposed upon you any hardship in religion – the faith of your father Abraham. He named you as Muslims earlier and in this [Qur’an], so that the Messenger might be a witness over you and you might be witnesses over mankind. So establish prayer, give zakah, and hold fast to Allah, for He is your Protector; what an excellent Protector and an excellent Helper!
