15 - al-Hijr (The Valley of Stone)

Aliflamra tilka ayatu alkitabi waquranin mubeenin

Alif-Lâm-Râ.[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings.] These are the Verses of the Book and a plain Qur'ân.

Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur'an.

அலிஃப்; லாம்; றா. (நபியே!) இது தெளிவான குர்ஆன் என்னும் (இவ்) வேதத்தில் உள்ள சில வசனங்களாகும்.

அலிஃப், லாம், றா. (நபியே!) இவை வேதத்தினுடையவும் தெளிவான திருக்குர்ஆனுடையவுமான வசனங்களாகவும்.

அலிஃப் லாம் றா. இவை இவ்வேதத்தினுடைய - இன்னும், தெளிவான குர் ஆனுடைய – வசனங்களாகும்.

Alif Lām Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur’an.

Rubama yawaddu allatheena kafaroo law kanoo muslimeena

How much would those who disbelieved wish that they had been Muslims (those who have submitted themselves to Allâh's Will in Islâm, i.e. Islâmic Monotheism – this will be on the Day of Resurrection when they will see the disbelievers going to Hell and the Muslims going to Paradise).

Perhaps those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims.

தாங்களும் முஸ்லிம்களாக இருந்திருக்க வேண்டுமே? என்று நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் (மறுமையில்) பெரிதும் விரும்புவர்.

தாங்களும் முஸ்லிம்களாக இருந்திருக்க வேண்டுமே, என்று காஃபிர்கள் (மறுமையில் பெரிதும்) ஆசைப்படுவார்கள்.

நிராகரிப்போர் தாங்களும் முஸ்லிம்களாக இருந்திருக்க வேண்டுமே என்று பெரிதும் விரும்புவர்.

There will come a time that the disbelievers will wish that they were Muslims.

Tharhum yakuloo wayatamattaAAoo wayulhihimu alamalu fasawfa yaAAlamoona

Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know!

Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know.

(நபியே!) அவர்கள் (நன்கு) புசித்துக்கொண்டும், (தங்கள் இஷ்டப்படி) சுகம் அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டும் இருக்க (தற்சமயம்) நீங்கள் அவர்களை விட்டுவிடுங்கள். அவர்களுடைய (வீண்) நம்பிக்கைகள் (மறுமையை அவர்களுக்கு) மறக்கடித்து விட்டன. இதன் (பலனை) பின்னர் அவர்கள் நன்கறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

(இம்மையில் தம் விருப்பம் போல்) புசித்துக் கொண்டும், சுகம் அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டும் இருக்க அவர்களை விட்டு விடுவீராக; அவர்களுடைய வீணான ஆசைகள் (மறுமையிலிருந்தும்) அவர்களைப் பராக்காக்கி விட்டன; (இதன் பலனைப் பின்னர்) அவர்கள் நன்கறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

(நபியே!) நீர் அவர்களை விட்டு விடுவீராக! அவர்கள் உண்ணட்டும், சுகமனுபவிக்கட்டும், (அவர்களுடைய வீண்) ஆசை (மறுமையை) அவர்களுக்கு மறக்கடித்துவிட்டது, (இதன் முடிவை) அவர்கள் நன்கறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted with false hope; they will come to know.

Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa walaha kitabun maAAloomun

And never did We destroy a township but there was a known decree for it.

And We did not destroy any city but that for it was a known decree.

(பாவத்தில் மூழ்கிய) எவ்வூராரையும் அவர்களுக்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட தவணையிலன்றி நாம் அவர்களை அழித்துவிடவில்லை.

எந்த ஊர்(வாசி)களையும் (அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணமாக) அவர்களுக்கெனக் குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்தவணையிலன்றி நாம் அழித்துவிடுவதுமில்லை.

எவ்வூ(ரா)ரையும், அதற்குக் குறிப்பிட்ட (காலத்) தவணையிலன்றி, நாம் (அவர்களை) அழித்துவிடவில்லை.

We never destroyed any town except that it had a destined time.

Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalaha wama yastakhiroona

No nation can advance its term, nor delay it.

No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain thereafter.

ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டத்தாரும் தங்கள் தவணையை முந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்; பிந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயமும் தனக்குரிய தவணைக்கு முந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்; பிந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

(அழிக்கப்படுவதற்காக உள்ள) எந்த ஒரு சமுதாயமும் தனக்குரிய தவணையை முந்தவும் மாட்டாது; அவர்கள் பிந்தவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

No nation can advance its appointed time, nor can they delay it.

Waqaloo ya ayyuha allathee nuzzila AAalayhi alththikru innaka lamajnoonun

And they say: "O you (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) to whom the Dhikr (the Qur'ân) has been sent down! Verily, you are a madman!

And they say, "O you upon whom the message has been sent down, indeed you are mad.

(நமது நபியாகிய உங்களை நோக்கி) "வேதம் அருளப்பட்டதாகக் கூறும் நீங்கள் நிச்சயமாகப் பைத்தியக் காரர்தான்" என்று கூறுகின்றனர்.

(நினைவூட்டும்) வேதம் அருளப் பட்ட(தாகக் கூறுப)வரே! நிச்சயமாக நீர் பைத்தியக்காரர்தான் என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.

மேலும் (குர் ஆனாகிய) “உபதேசம் எவர்மீது இறக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதோ அத்தகையவரே! நீர் நிச்சயமாக பைத்தியக்காரர்தான்” என அவர்கள் கூறுகின்றனர்.

They say, “O you to whom the Reminder has been sent down, You are surely insane!

Law ma tateena bialmalaikati in kunta mina alssadiqeena

"Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful?"

Why do you not bring us the angels, if you should be among the truthful?"

(அன்றி) "மெய்யாகவே நீங்கள் உண்மை சொல்பவராக இருந்தால் (உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக) நீங்கள் மலக்குகளை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வர வேண்டாமா? (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.)

“நீர் உண்மையாளரில் ஒருவராக இருப்பின் நீர் எங்களிடத்தில் மலக்குகளைக் கொண்டு வந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?” (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.)

“உண்மையாளர்களில் உள்ளவராக நீர் இருந்தால், (உமக்குச் சாட்சியாக) நீர் எங்களிடம் மலக்குகளை (அழைத்து)க் கொண்டு வந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?” (என்றும் கூறுகின்றனர்.)

Why do you not bring us the angels, if you are truthful?”

Ma nunazzilu almalaikata illa bialhaqqi wama kanoo ithan munthareena

We send not the angels down except with the truth (i.e. for torment), and in that case, they (the disbelievers) would have no respite!

We do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved.

(நபியே!) நாம் மலக்குகளை இறக்கி வைப்பதெல்லாம் எவருடைய காரியத்தையும் அழிப்பதைக் கொண்டு முடித்துவிடக் கருதினால்தான். அச்சமயம் அவர்களுக்குச் சிறிதும் அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை. (உடனே அழிக்கப்பட்டுவிடுவர்.)

நாம் மலக்குகளை உண்மையான (தக்க காரணத்தோடு அல்லாமல் இறக்குவதில்லை; அப்(படி இறக்கப்படும்) போது அ(ந் நிராகரிப்ப)வர்கள் அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்பட மாட்டார்கள்.

(நபியே!) உண்மையைக் கொண்டல்லாது மலக்குகளை நாம் இறக்கி வைப்பதில்லை, (எனவே, வேதனையைக்கொண்டு அவர்கள் இறங்கினால்) அச்சமயம் அவர்கள் அவகாசம் கொடுக்கப்படுவர்களாகவும் இருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

We do not send down the angels except for a just cause, and then they [the disbelievers] would be granted no respite.

Inna nahnu nazzalna alththikra wainna lahu lahafithoona

Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely We will guard it (from corruption).

Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian.

நிச்சயமாக நாம்தான் இவ்வேதத்தை (உங்கள்மீது) இறக்கி வைத்தோம். ஆகவே, (அதில் எத்தகைய மாறுதலும் அழிவும் ஏற்படாதவாறு) நிச்சயமாக நாமே அதனை பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்வோம்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம் தான் (நினைவூட்டும்) இவ்வேதத்தை (உம்மீது) இறக்கி வைத்தோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாமே அதன் பாதுகாவலனாகவும் இருக்கின்றோம்.

நிச்சயமாக நாம்தான் (திக்ரு என்னும் இவ்)வேதத்தை (உம்மீது) இறக்கி வைத்தோம், நிச்சயமாக நாமே அதனை பாதுகாப்பவர்கள்.

It is We Who have sent down the Reminder, and it is We Who will preserve it.

Walaqad arsalna min qablika fee shiyaAAi alawwaleena

Indeed, We sent (Messengers) before you (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) amongst the sects (communities) of old.

And We had certainly sent [messengers] before you, [O Muhammad], among the sects of the former peoples.

(நபியே!) உங்களுக்கு முன்னர் சென்றுபோன கூட்டங்களுக்கும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் தூதர்கள் பலரை அனுப்பி வைத்தோம்.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு முன்னால் முந்திய பல கூட்டத்தாருக்கும் நாம் (தூதர்களை) அனுப்பிவைத்தோம்.

(நபியே!) உமக்கு முன்னர் (சென்று போன) முந்தைய பல கூட்டத்தார்களிலும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் தூதர்களை) அனுப்பி வைத்தோம்.

We did send messengers before you among the factions of early peoples.

Wama yateehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzioona

And never came a Messenger to them but they did mock at him.

And no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him.

(எனினும்,) அவர்களிடம் (நம்முடைய) எந்தத் தூதர் வந்தபோதிலும் அவர்கள் அவரைப் பரிகாசம் செய்யாதிருக்க வில்லை.

எனினும் அவர்களிடம் (நம்முடைய) எந்தத் தூதர் வந்தாலும் அவரை அந்த மக்கள் ஏளனம் செய்யாமல் இருந்ததில்லை.

(நம்முடைய) எந்தத் தூதரும் - அவரை அவர்கள் பரிகாசம் செய்பவர்களாக இருந்தேயல்லாது அவர்களிடம்- அவர் வரவில்லை.

No messenger came to them except that they ridiculed him.

Kathalika naslukuhu fee quloobi almujrimeena

Thus do We let it (polytheism and disbelief) enter the hearts of the Mujrimûn [criminals, polytheists, pagans, (because of their mocking at the Messengers)].

Thus do We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals.

(அவர்கள் உள்ளங்களிலிருந்த) நிராகரிப்பைப் போலவே இக்குற்றவாளிகளின் உள்ளங்களிலும் (நிராகரிப்பைப்) புகுத்தி விட்டோம்.

இவ்வாறே நாம் குற்றவாளிகளின் உள்ளங்களில் இ(வ் விஷமத்)தைப் புகுத்தி விடுகிறோம்.

இவ்வாறே குற்றவாளிகளின் உள்ளங்களிலும் அ(வ்விஷமத்)தை நாம் புகச் செய்கிறோம்.

This is how We let this [denial] enter the hearts of the wicked.

La yuminoona bihi waqad khalat sunnatu alawwaleena

They would not believe in it (the Qur'ân); and already the example of (Allâh's punishment of) the ancients (who disbelieved) has gone forth.

They will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples.

(ஆகவே,) இவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்கள். இவர்களுக்கு முன் சென்றவர்கள் (அழிந்த) உதாரணம் ஏற்பட்டே இருக்கின்றது. (அவர்களைப் போல இவர்களும் அழிந்து விடுவர்.)

அவர்கள் இ(வ் வேதத்)தின் மீது ஈமான் கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்களின் இந்நடை முறையும் (இறுதியில் அவர்கள் அழிவும்) நிகழ்ந்தே வந்துள்ளன.

(ஆகவே, வேதமான) இதனை அவர்கள் விசுவாசங்கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள், (இவ்வாறே அவர்களுக்கு) முன் சென்றவர்களின் வழிமுறை திட்டமாகச் சென்றே விட்டது.

They will not believe in it, although the examples of the earlier people is well established.

Walaw fatahna AAalayhim baban mina alssamai fathalloo feehi yaAArujoona

And even if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they were to keep on ascending thereto (all day long).

And [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend,

வானத்தில் யாதொரு வாசலை இவர்களுக்கு நாம் திறந்து விட்டு, அதில் பகல் நேரத்திலேயே இவர்கள் ஏறியபோதிலும் (நம்பிக்கை கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்.)

இவர்களுக்காக நாம் வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு வாயிலைத் திறந்து விட்டு, அவர்கள் அதில் (நாள் முழுதும் தொடர்ந்து) ஏறிக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும் (அவர்கள் ஈமான் கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள்).

மேலும், வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு வாசலை நாம் அவர்களுக்குத் திறந்து விட்டு, அவர்கள் அதில் (நாள் முழுவதும் தொடர்ந்து) ஏறிக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், (அவ்வேதத்தை உண்மைப்படுத்த மாட்டார்கள், மாறாக, அவர்கள்)

Even if We were to open for them a gateway to the heaven, through which they kept ascending,

Laqaloo innama sukkirat absaruna bal nahnu qawmun mashooroona

They would surely say (in the evening): "Our eyes have been (as if) dazzled (we have not seen any angel or heaven). Nay, we are a people bewitched."

They would say, "Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic."

எனினும், இவர்கள் (வானத்தில் ஏறிய பின்னரும்) "எங்களுடைய கண்கள் மயங்கிவிட்டன; நாங்கள் சூனியத்திற் குள்ளாகி விட்டோம்" என்றே கூறுவார்கள்.

“நம் பார்வைகளெல்லாம் மயக்கப்பட்டு விட்டன; இல்லை! நாங்கள் சூனியம் செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு கூட்டமாகி விட்டோம்“ என்று நிச்சயமாகக் கூறுவார்கள்.

(பார்க்க முடியாது, தடுக்கப்பட்டு) “மயக்கப்பட்டதெல்லாம் எங்களுடைய பார்வைகள்தான், (அது மட்டும்) அல்ல, நாங்கள் சூனியம் செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு கூட்டத்தினர்” என்றே கூறுவார்கள்.

they would still say, “Our eyes have been dazzled; rather, we have been bewitched.”

Walaqad jaAAalna fee alssamai buroojan wazayyannaha lilnnathireena

And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders.

And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers.

நிச்சயமாக நாம்தான் வானத்தில் பெரிய பெரிய நட்சத்திரங்களை அமைத்து பார்ப்பவர்களுக்கு அதனை அலங்கார மாகவும் ஆக்கி வைத்தோம்.

வானத்தில் கிரகங்களுக்கான பாதைகளை நிச்சயமாக நாம் அமைத்து பார்ப்போருக்கு அவற்றை அலங்காரமாகவும் ஆக்கினோம்.

மேலும், நிச்சயமாக நாம் வானத்தில் கிரகங்களை அமைத்து பார்ப்போருக்கு அதனை அலங்கரித்துள்ளோம்.

We have placed constellations in the heaven and adorned it for the onlookers,

Wahafithnaha min kulli shaytanin rajeemin

And We have guarded it (near heaven) from every outcast Shaitân (devil).

And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah]

விரட்டப்பட்ட யாதொரு ஷைத்தானும் அவற்றை நெருங்காது காத்துக் கொண்டோம்.

விரட்டப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு ஷைத்தானை விட்டும் நாம் அவற்றைப் பாதுகாத்தோம்.

மேலும், விரட்டப்பட்ட ஒவ்வொரு ஷைத்தானை விட்டும் அவற்றை நாம் பாதுகாத்துக் கொண்டோம்.

and We have guarded it from every accursed devil,

Illa mani istaraqa alssamAAa faatbaAAahu shihabun mubeenun

Except him (devil) who steals the hearing then he is pursued by a clear flaming fire.

Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame.

ஆகவே, (மலக்குகளின்) யாதொரு வார்த்தையைத் திருட்டுத்தனமாகக் கேட்டுப் போவதையன்றி (ஷைத்தான் அவற்றை நெருங்க முடியாது. அவ்வாறு ஷைத்தான் நெருங்கினால் சுடர் வீசும்) எரிகின்ற நெருப்பு ஜுவாலை அதனை (விரட்டிப்) பின் தொடர்ந்து செல்லும்.

திருட்டுத்தனமாக ஒட்டுக் கேட்கும் ஷைத்தானைத்தவிர; (அப்போது) பிரகாசமான தீப்பந்தம் அந்த ஷைத்தானை (விரட்டிப்) பின் பற்றும்.

திருட்டுத்தனமாக (ஒட்டு)க் கேட்பவ(னான ஷைத்தா)னைத் தவிர, அப்போது பிரகாசமான தீப்பந்தம் அவனை (விரட்டி)ப் பின்தொடர்ந்து செல்லும்.

except the one who manages to eavesdrop, he will then be pursued by a visible burning flame.

Waalarda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli shayin mawzoonin

And the earth We have spread out, and have placed therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein all kinds of things in due proportion.

And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing.

நாம் பூமியை விரித்து, அதில் அசையாத மலைகளை நட்டினோம். ஒவ்வொரு புற்பூண்டையும் (அதற்குரிய) ஒழுங்கான முறையில் அதில் நாம் முளைப்பித்தோம்.

பூமியை நாம் விரித்து அதில் உறுதியான, (அசையா) மலைகளை நிலைப் படுத்தினோம்; ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் அதற்குரிய அளவின்படி அதில் நாம் முளைப்பித்தோம்.

பூமியை – அதனை நாம் விரித்து அதில் அசையாத மலைகளையும் நாட்டினோம், மேலும், ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் (அதற்குரிய) அளவின்படி அதில் நாம் முளைக்க வைத்தோம்.

As for the earth, We have spread it out and placed therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein everything in due proportion.

WajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha waman lastum lahu biraziqeena

And We have provided therein means of living, for you and for those whom you provide not [moving (living) creatures, cattle, beasts, and other animals].

And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers.

உங்களுக்கும், நீங்கள் உணவு கொடுத்து வளர்க்காததுமான (ஆகாயத்திலும் பூமியிலும் வசிக்கக்கூடிய) உயிரினங்களுக்கும் வாழ்க்கைக்கு வேண்டிய பொருள்களையும் நாமே அதில் அமைத்தோம்.

நாம் அதில் உங்களுக்கும் நீங்கள் எவருக்கு உணவளிக்கிறவர்களாக இல்லையோ அவர்களுக்கும் வாழ்க்கைக்குத் தேவையான பொருட்களை ஆக்கியுள்ளோம்.

“உங்களுக்கும், நீங்கள் எவருக்கு உணவளிக்கிறவர்களாக இல்லையோ அவர்களுக்கும் வாழத்தேவையானவற்றை அதில் நாமே ஆக்கியுள்ளோம்.

And We have made therein for you means of sustenance and for those whom you do not provide.

Wain min shayin illa AAindana khazainuhu wama nunazziluhu illa biqadarin maAAloomin

And there is not a thing, but with Us are the stores thereof. And We send it not down except in a known measure.

And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure.

ஒவ்வொரு பொருளின் பொக்கிஷங்களும் நம்மிடமே இருக்கின்றன. எனினும், அவற்றை (அந்தந்தக் காலத்தில் அவற்றிற்குக்) குறிப்பிட்ட அளவில் தான் நாம் இறக்கி வைக்கிறோம்.

ஒவ்வொரு பொருளுக்குமான பொக்கிஷங்கள் நம்மிடமே இருக்கின்றன; அவற்றை நாம் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட அளவுப்படி அல்லாமல் இறக்கிவைப்பதில்லை.

எந்தப் பொருளும் அதன் களஞ்சியங்கள் நம்மிடமிருந்தே தவிர இல்லை, எனினும், அவற்றை குறிப்பிட்ட அளவிலே தவிர நாம் இறக்கிவைப்பதும் இல்லை.

There is nothing except that We have its treasuries, and We do not send it down except in a determined measure.

Waarsalna alrriyaha lawaqiha faanzalna mina alssamai maan faasqaynakumoohu wama antum lahu bikhazineena

And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores (i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like).

And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.

மேகம் கருக்கொள்ளும்படியான காற்றையும் நாமே அனுப்பி வைக்கிறோம். அம்மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையையும் நாமே பொழியச் செய்கிறோம். அதனை நாம் உங்களுக்குப் புகட்டுகிறோம். (மழையின் நீரை மேகத்தில்) நீங்கள் சேகரித்து வைக்கவில்லை; (நாம்தான் சேகரிக்கிறோம்.)

இன்னும் காற்றுகளை சூல் கொண்ட மேகங்களாக நாமே அனுப்புகிறோம்; பின்னர் வானத்திலிருந்து நாம் மழை பொழிவித்து, அதனை உங்களுக்கு நாம் புகட்டுகிறோம் - நீங்கள் அதனைச் சேகரித்து வைப்பவர்களும் இல்லை.

இன்னும், காற்றுகளை சூல் கொண்ட மேகங்களாக நாமே அனுப்புகிறோம், பின்னர் வானத்திலிருந்து நாமே (மழையெனும்) நீரைப் பொழிவித்து, அதனை உங்களுக்கு நாம் புகட்டுகிறோம், நீங்கள் அதனைச் சேமித்து வைப்பவர்களாகவும் இல்லை.

And We send fertilizing winds, and send down rain from the sky for you to drink, and it is not you who could store it.

Wainna lanahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wanahnu alwarithoona

And certainly We! We it is Who give life, and cause death, and We are the Inheritor.

And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor.

(உங்களுக்கு) நிச்சயமாக நாம்தான் உயிர் கொடுக்கின்றோம்; நாமே (உங்களை) மரணிக்கச் செய்வோம். அனைத்திற்கும் நாமே வாரிசுகள்! (சொந்தக்காரர்கள்).

நிச்சயமாக நாமே உயிரும் கொடுக்கிறோம், நாமே மரிக்கவும் வைக்கின்றோம்; மேலும், எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் வாரிஸாக (உரிமையாளனாக) நாமே இருக்கின்றோம்.

(படைப்பினங்களுக்கு) நிச்சயமாக நாம் தாம் உயிரும் கொடுக்கிறோம், நாமே (அவற்றை) இறக்கவும் வைக்கிறோம், (யாவற்றிற்கும்) நாமே வாரிசாவோம்.

Indeed, it is We Who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritors [of all things].

Walaqad AAalimna almustaqdimeena minkum walaqad AAalimna almustakhireena

And indeed, We know the first generations of you who had passed away, and indeed, We know the present generations of you (mankind), and also those who will come afterwards.

And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come].

உங்களுக்கு முன் சென்றவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிவோம்; (உங்களுக்குப்) பின் வரக்கூடியவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிவோம்.

உங்களில் முந்தியவர்களையும் நாம் நிச்சயமாக அறிவோம்; பிந்தியவர்களையும் நாம் நிச்சயமாக அறிவோம்.

மேலும், உங்களில் (உங்களுக்கு) முன் சென்றோரையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிந்துள்ளோம், (உங்களுக்குப்)பின் வரக்கூடியவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிந்துள்ளோம்.

We surely know those of you who have gone before and those who are yet to come.

Wainna rabbaka huwa yahshuruhum innahu hakeemun AAaleemun

And verily, your Lord will gather them together. Truly, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக உங்களது இறைவன்தான் இவர்கள் அனைவரையும் (விசாரணைக்காக மறுமையில் தன் முன்) கூட்டுவான். நிச்சயமாக அவன் ஞானமுடையவனாகவும் (அனைத்தையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக உம்முடைய இறைவன் (இறுதி நாளில்) அவர்களை ஒன்று திரட்டுவான்; நிச்சயமாக அவன் ஞானம் மிக்கவன்; (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிபவன்.

இன்னும், (நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகன்தான் அவர்களை மறுமையில் ஒன்று திரட்டுவான், நிச்சயமாக அவன் தீர்க்கமான அறிவுடையவன், (யாவற்றையும்) நன்கறிகிறவன்.

It is your Lord Who will gather them together. He is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

Walaqad khalaqna alinsana min salsalin min hamain masnoonin

And indeed, We created man from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud.

And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud.

(காய்ந்தால் "கன் கன்" என்று) சப்தம் கொடுக்கக்கூடிய பிசுபிசுப்பான களிமண்ணால் நிச்சயமாக நாமே (உங்கள் மூலப் பிதாவாகிய முதல்) மனிதனை படைத்தோம்.

ஓசை தரக்கூடிய கருப்பான களி மண்ணால் மனிதனை நிச்சயமாக நாமே படைத்தோம்.

இன்னும் (தட்டினால்) சப்தம் வரக்கூடிய மாற்றமடைந்த கறுப்பான களிமண்ணிலிருந்து மனிதனை (-ஆதமை) திட்டமாக நாம் படைத்தோம்.

We have created man from sounding clay, made of aging mud.

Waaljanna khalaqnahu min qablu min nari alssamoomi

And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire.

And the jinn We created before from scorching fire.

அதற்கு முன்னதாக ஜின்களைக் கொடிய உஷ்ணமுள்ள நெருப்பிலிருந்து படைத்தோம்.

(அதற்கு) முன்னர் ஜான்னை (ஜின்களின் மூல பிதாவை) கடிய சூடுள்ள நெருப்பிலிருந்து நாம் படைத்தோம்.

மேலும், ஜின்னை (அதற்கு) முன்னதாகக் கொடிய உஷ்ணமுள்ள நெருப்பிலிருந்து அதனை நாம் படைத்தோம்.

And the jinn We created before that, from smokeless fire.

Waith qala rabbuka lilmalaikati innee khaliqun basharan min salsalin min hamain masnoonin

And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud.

(நபியே!) உங்களது இறைவன் மலக்குகளை நோக்கி "நிச்சயமாக நான், மனிதனை (காய்ந்தால்) சப்தம் கொடுக்கக்கூடிய பிசுபிசுப்பான களிமண்ணால் படைக்கப் போகிறேன்" என்று கூறிய சமயத்தில்,

(நபியே!) உம்முடைய இறைவன் மலக்குகளிடம்: “ஓசை தரும் கருப்பான களிமண்ணிலிருந்து, மனிதனை நிச்சயமாக நான் படைக்கப்போகிறேன்” என்றும்,

மேலும், (நபியே!) உமதிரட்சகன் மலக்குகளிடம், “நிச்சயமாக நான் மனிதனை (தட்டினால்) சப்தம் வரக்கூடிய, மாற்றமடைந்த கறுப்புக் களிமண்ணிலிருந்து படைக்கப்போகிறேன்” என்று கூறிய சமயத்தை-(நபியே! நினைவு கூர்வீராக!)

And [remember] when your Lord said to the angels, “I am going to create a human being from sounding clay, made of aging mud.

Faitha sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu feehi min roohee faqaAAoo lahu sajideena

"So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves to him."

And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."

"நான் மனிதனை உருவாக்கி அதில் என் (படைப்புக்கு வேண்டிய) உயிரைப் புகுத்தினால் அவருக்கு (மரியாதை செலுத்த) நீங்கள் சிரம் பணியுங்கள்" (என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்.)

அவரை நான் செவ்வையாக உருவாக்கி, அவரில் என் ஆவியிலிருந்து ஊதியதும், “அவருக்கு சிரம் பணியுங்கள்” என்றும் கூறியதை (நினைவு கூர்வீராக)!

பின்னர், “அவரை நான் சரியாக உருவாக்கி, அவரில் என் ஆவியிலிருந்தும் நான் ஊதியபோது அவருக்கு சிரம்பணிந்தவர்களாக விழுங்கள்” (என்று மலக்குகளிடம் அல்லாஹ் கூறியதும்)

When I have shaped him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down before him in prostration.”

Fasajada almalaikatu kulluhum ajmaAAoona

So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together.

So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely,

அவ்வாறே மலக்குகள் அனைவரும் (அவருக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்த) சிரம் பணிந்தார்கள்;

அவ்வாறே மலக்குகள் - அவர்கள் எல்லோரும் - சிரம் பணிந்தார்கள்.

உடனே மலக்குகள் - அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் ஒருமித்து (அவருக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்த) சிரம் பணிந்தார்கள்-

Thereupon, all of the angels fell down in prostration,

Illa ibleesa aba an yakoona maAAa alssajideena

Except Iblîs (Satan) – he refused to be among the prostrators.

Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated.

இப்லீஸைத் தவிர; (அவன்) சிரம் பணிந்தவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து சிரம் பணியாது விலகிக் கொண்டான்.

இப்லீஸைத்தவிர - அவன் சிரம் பணிந்தவர்களுடன் இருப்பதை விட்டும் விலகிக்கொண்டான்.

- இப்லீஸைத் தவிர சிரம் பணிந்தவர்களுடன் ஆகுவதிலிருந்து அவன் விலகிக் கொண்டான்.

except Iblīs, who refused to be with those who prostrated.

Qala ya ibleesu ma laka alla takoona maAAa alssajideena

(Allâh) said: "O Iblîs (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?"

[Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?"

(அதற்கு உங்கள் இறைவன் இப்லீஸை நோக்கி) "இப்லீஸை! சிரம் பணிந்தவர்களுடன் சேர்ந்து நீயும் சிரம் பணியாத காரணமென்ன?" என்று கேட்டான்.

“இப்லீஸே! சிரம் பணிந்தவர்களுடனே நீயும் சேராமல் (விலகி) இருந்ததற்குக் காரணம் என்ன?” என்று (இறைவன்) கேட்டான்.

(அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்) “இப்லீஸே! சிரம் பணிந்தோருடன் நீயும் ஆகாதிருக்க உனக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது?” என்று கேட்டான்.

Allah said, “O Iblīs, what is the matter with you that you were not with those who prostrated?”

Qala lam akun liasjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min salsalin min hamain masnoonin

[Iblîs (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud."

He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud."

அதற்கவன் "(காய்ந்தால்) சப்தம் கொடுக்கக்கூடிய பிசுபிசுப்பான களிமண்ணால் நீ படைத்த மனிதனுக்கு (நெருப்பால் படைக்கப்பட்ட) நான் சிரம் பணிவதற்கில்லை; (ஏனென்றால், நான் அவரைவிட மேலானவன்)" என்று கூறினான்.

அதற்கு இப்லீஸ், “ஓசை தரும் கருப்பான களிமண்ணிலிருந்து, நீ படைத்துள்ள (ஒரு) மனிதனுக்கு நான் சிரம் பணிவதற்கில்லை!” என்று கூறினான்.

அ(தற்க)வன், “(தட்டினால்) சப்தம் கொடுக்கக் கூடிய மாற்றமடைந்த கருப்புக் களிமண்ணால் நீ அவரை சிருஷ்டித்த (ஒரு) மனிதனுக்கு, (நெருப்பால் படைக்கப்பட்ட) நான் சிரம் பணிபவனாக இருப்பதற்கில்லை” என்று கூறினான்.

He said, “I am not such to prostrate before a human whom You created from sounding clay, made of aging mud.”

Qala faokhruj minha fainnaka rajeemun

(Allâh) said: "Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajîm (an outcast or a cursed one)." (Tafsîr At-Tabarî)

[Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled.

அதற்கு இறைவன் "நீ இங்கிருந்து அப்புறப்பட்டுவிடு. நிச்சயமாக நீ (எம் சந்நிதியிலிருந்து) விரட்டப்பட்டு விட்டாய்" என்று கூறினான்.

“அவ்வாறாயின், நீ இங்கிருந்து வெளியேறிவிடு; நிச்சயமாக நீ விரட்டப்பட்டவனாக இருக்கிறாய்.”

“இங்கிருந்து நீ வெளியேறிவிடு, ஏனெனில் நிச்சயமாக நீ விரட்டப்பட்டவன் என்று (அல்லாஹ்வாகிய) அவன் கூறினான்.

He said, “Then get out of here, for you are accursed,

Wainna AAalayka allaAAnata ila yawmi alddeeni

"And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)."

And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense."

அன்றி "விசாரணை நாள் (வரும்) வரையில் உன்மீது நிச்சயமாக என்னுடைய சாபமும் (கோபமும்) உண்டாவதாக!" (என்றும் கூறினான்.)

“மேலும், நிச்சயமாக நியாயத் தீர்ப்பு நாள் வரை உன் மீது சாபம் உண்டாவதாக!” என்று (இறைவனும்) கூறினான்.

மேலும், “நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நாள் வரையில் உன் மீது நிச்சயமாக (என்னுடைய) சாபம் உண்டாவதாக! (என்றும் அல்லாஹ் கூறினான்).

and the curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgment.”

Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona

[Iblîs (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected."

He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."

அதற்கவன் "என் இறைவனே! (இறந்தவர்கள்) உயிர் பெற்றெழும்பும் நாள் (வரும்) வரையில் நீ எனக்கு அவகாசமளி" என்று கேட்டான்.

“என்னுடைய இறைவனே! இறந்தவர்கள் எழுப்பப்படும் நாள்வரை எனக்கு அவகாசம் கொடுப்பாயாக!” என்று இப்லீஸ் கூறினான்.

அ(தற்க)வன், “என்னுடைய இரட்சகனே! (இறந்தோரான) அவர்கள் எழுப்பப்படும் நாள் வரையில் நீ எனக்கு அவகாசமளிப்பாயாக” என்று கூறினான்.

Iblīs said, “My Lord, then grant me respite until the Day they are resurrected.”

Qala fainnaka mina almunthareena

Allâh said: "Then verily, you are of those reprieved,

[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved

-

“நிச்சயமாக, நீ அவகாசம் அளிக்கப்பட்டோரில் ஒருவனாவாய்;”

(அதற்கு அல்லாஹ்,) நிச்சயமாக நீ அவகாசம் அளிக்கப்பட்டோரில் இருக்கிறாய்” என்று கூறினான்.

Allah said, “You are of those who are granted respite,

Ila yawmi alwaqti almaAAloomi

"Till the Day of the time appointed."

Until the Day of the time well-known."

அதற்கு (இறைவன்) "நிச்சயமாக (அவ்வாறே) குறிப்பிட்ட அந்நாள் வரையிலும் உனக்கு அவகாசமளிக்கப்பட்டது" என்றான்.

“குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தின் நாள் வரும் வரையில்” என்று அல்லாஹ் கூறினான்.

“குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தின் நாள் வரை” (என்று அல்லாஹ் கூறினான்.)

until the Day of the Appointed Time.”

Qala rabbi bima aghwaytanee laozayyinanna lahum fee alardi walaoghwiyannahum ajmaAAeena

[Iblîs (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because You misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.

[Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all

அதற்கவன் "என் இறைவனே! நீ என் வழியைத் தடுத்துக் கொண்டதன் காரணமாக பூமியிலுள்ள (பொருள்களை) நான் அவர்களுக்கு அழகாகக் காண்பித்து அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் வழிகெடுப்பேன்.

(அதற்கு இப்லீஸ்,) “என் இறைவனே! என்னை நீ வழிகேட்டில் விட்டுவிட்டதால், நான் இவ்வுலகில் (வழி கேட்டைத்தரும் அனைத்தையும்) அவர்களுக்கு அழகாகத் தோன்றும்படி செய்து (அதன் மூலமாக) அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் வழிகெடுத்தும் விடுவேன்.

அ(தற்க)வன், “என்னுடைய இரட்சகனே! நீ என்னை வழிகேட்டில் விட்டு விட்டதன் காரணமாக பூமியில் (உள்ளவற்றை) நான், நிச்சயமாக அவர்களுக்கு அலங்கரித்துக் காண்பித்து, அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் நிச்சயமாக நான் வழிகெடுத்து விடுவேன்” என்று கூறினான்.

He said, “My Lord, since You have sent me astray, I will surely make [sins] alluring to them on earth and mislead them all,

Illa AAibadaka minhumu almukhlaseena

"Except Your chosen (guided) slaves among them."

Except, among them, Your chosen servants."

எனினும், அவர்களில் கலப்பற்ற (பரிசுத்த) உள்ளத்தை உடைய உன் (நல்) அடியார்களைத் தவிர; (அவர்களை வழி கெடுக்க என்னால் முடியாது)" என்று கூறினான்.

“அவர்களில் அந்தரங்க - சுத்தியுள்ள (உன்னருள் பெற்ற) உன் நல்லடியார்களைத் தவிர” என்று கூறினான்.

“அவர்களில் (உன்னால்) தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட உன் (அருள் பெற்ற நல்) அடியார்களைத் தவிர”

except Your chosen slaves among them.”

Qala hatha siratun AAalayya mustaqeemun

(Allâh) said: "This is a way which will lead straight to Me."

[Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight.

அதற்கு (இறைவன்) கூறியதாவது: "அதுதான் என்னிடம் (வருவதற்குரிய) நேரான வழி."

(அதற்கு இறைவன் “அந்தரங்க சுத்தியுள்ள என் நல்லடியார்களின்) இந்த வழி, என்னிடம் (வருவதற்குரிய) நேரான வழியாகும்.

(அதற்கு என்னால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட நல்லடியார்களின் வழியாகிய) “இதுதான் என்னிடம் (வருவதற்குரிய) நேரான வழியாகும்” என்று கூறினான்.

Allah said, “This is a straight path leading to Me.

Inna AAibadee laysa laka AAalayhim sultanun illa mani ittabaAAaka mina alghaweena

"Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghâwûn (Mushrikûn and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evildoers).

Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators.

(மனத்தூய்மையுடைய) என் அடியார்களிடத்தில் நிச்சயமாக உனக்கு யாதொரு செல்வாக்கும் இருக்காது. வழிகேட்டில் உன்னைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களைத் தவிர.

“நிச்சயமாக என் அடியார்கள் மீது உனக்கு எவ்வித அதிகாரமும் இல்லை - உன்னைப் பின்பற்றி வழிகெட்டவர்களைத் தவிர” என்று கூறினான்.

“நிச்சயமாக என்னுடைய அடியார்கள், உனக்கு அவர்கள்மீது யாதொரு அதிகாரமும் இல்லை, (திசை திருப்பப்பட்டு) வழிகெட்டவர்களிலிருந்து உன்னைப் பின்பற்றியவர்களைத் தவிர.

You will have no authority over My slaves, except the deviants who follow you.

Wainna jahannama lamawAAiduhum ajmaAAeena

"And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all.

And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all.

(உன்னைப் பின்பற்றிய) அனைவருக்கும் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட இடம் நிச்சயமாக நரகம்தான்.

நிச்சயமாக (உன்னைப் பின்பற்றும்) அனைவருக்கும் நரகம் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட இடமாகும்.

நிச்சயமாக நரகமாகிறது, (உன்னைப் பின்பற்றிய) அவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட இடமாகும்.

And Hell is certainly the promised place for them, all together.

Laha sabAAatu abwabin likulli babin minhum juzon maqsoomun

"It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned.

It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated."

அந்நரகத்திற்கு ஏழு வாசல்கள் இருக்கின்றன. ஒவ்வொரு வாசலிலும் (செல்லக்கூடிய வகையில்) அவர்கள் பல பிரிவுகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டு விடுவார்கள்.

அதற்கு ஏழு வாசல்கள் உண்டு; அவ்வாசல்கள் ஒவ்வொன்றும் பங்கிடப்பட்ட (தனித்தனிப்) பிரிவினருக்கு உரியதாகும்.  

“அதற்கு ஏழுவாசல்கள் இருக்கின்றன, ஒவ்வொரு வாசலுக்கும் அவர்களிலிருந்து (குறிப்பிட்ட) பங்கீடு செய்யப்பட்ட ஒரு பகுதி உண்டு” (என்றும் அல்லாஹ் கூறினான்.)

It has seven gates; each gate will have its allotted share of them.”

Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin

"Truly, the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water springs (Paradise).

Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs.

நிச்சயமாக, இறை அச்சமுடையவர்களோ சுவனபதிகளிலும் (அதிலுள்ள) நீரருவிகளிலும் (உல்லாசமாக) இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள் சுவனபதிகளிலும், நீரூற்றுகளிலும் (சுகம் பெற்று) இருப்பார்கள்.

நிச்சயமாக பயபக்தியுடையவர்கள் சுவனபதிகளிலும், நீரூற்றுகளிலும் (மகிழ்ச்சியுடையோராக) இருப்பார்கள்.

The righteous will be in gardens and springs.

Odkhulooha bisalamin amineena

"(It will be said to them): 'Enter therein (Paradise), in peace and security.'

[Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]."

(அவர்களை நோக்கி) நீங்கள் ஈடேற்றத்துடனும் அச்சமற்றவர்களாகவும் இதில் நுழையுங்கள்" (என்று கூறப்படும்).

(அவர்களை நோக்கி) “சாந்தியுடனும், அச்சமற்றவர்களாகவும் நீங்கள் இதில் நுழையுங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்).

(அவர்களிடம்,) “நீங்கள் சாந்தியுடன், அச்சமற்றவர்களாக அவற்றில் நுழையுங்கள்” (என்று கூறப்படும்.)

“Enter in peace and safety!”

WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihim min ghillin ikhwanan AAala sururin mutaqabileena

"And We shall remove from their breasts any deep feeling of bitterness (that they may have). (So they will be like) brothers facing each other on thrones.

And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other.

(ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் மீது இம்மையில்) அவர்களின் மனதில் இருந்த குரோதங்களை நாம் நீக்கிவிடுவோம். (அவர்களும்) மெய்யான சகோதரர்களாக ஒருவர் ஒருவரை முகம் நோக்கி கட்டில்களில் (உல்லாசமாகச் சாய்ந்து) இருப்பார்கள்.

மேலும், அவர்களுடைய நெஞ்சங்களிலிருந்து குரோதத்தை நாம் நீக்கி விடுவோம்; (எல்லோரும்) சகோதரர்களாக ஒருவரையொருவர் முன்னோக்கி அரியாசனங்களில் (ஆனந்தமாக) அமர்ந்திருப்பார்கள்.

மேலும், (இம்மையில்) அவர்களின் நெஞ்சங்களில் இருந்த குரோதத்தை நாம் நீக்கிவிடுவோம், (அவர்களும் உண்மையான) சகோதரர்களாக ஒருவரை ஒருவர் முன்னோக்கியவர்களாகக் கட்டில்களில் (மகிழ்ச்சியுடையோராக) சாய்ந்து இருப்பார்கள்.

We will remove all ill feelings from their hearts; like brothers, seated on couches facing one another.

La yamassuhum feeha nasabun wama hum minha bimukhrajeena

"No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it."

No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed.

அதில் அவர்களை யாதொரு சிரமமும் அணுகாது. அதில் இருந்து அவர்கள் வெளியேற்றப்படவும் மாட்டார்கள்.

அவற்றில் அவர்களுக்கு எவ்வித சிரமமும் ஏற்படாது; அவற்றிலிருந்து அவர்கள் வெளியேற்றப்படுபவர்களுமல்லர்.

அவற்றில் அவர்களை யாதொரு சிரமமும் அணுகாது, அதிலிருந்து அவர்கள் வெளியேற்றப்படுபவர்களும் அல்லர்.

No fatigue will ever touch them therein, nor will they ever be made to leave.

Nabbi AAibadee annee ana alghafooru alrraheemu

Declare (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) to My slaves that truly I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

[O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful.

(நபியே!) நீங்கள் என்னுடைய அடியார்களுக்கு அறிவியுங்கள்: "நிச்சயமாக நான் மிக்க மன்னிக்கும் கிருபை உடையவன்.

(நபியே!) என் அடியார்களிடம் அறிவிப்பீராக: “நிச்சயமாக நான் மிக்க மன்னிப்போனாகவும், மிக்க அன்புடையவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றேன்.”

(நபியே!) “நிச்சயமாக, நானே மிக்க மன்னிக்கிறவன், மிகக் கிருபையுடையவன்” என என் அடியார்களுக்குத் தெரிவிப்பீராக!

Inform My slaves that I am indeed the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful,

Wa anna AAathabee huwa alAAathabu alaleemu

And that My torment is indeed the most painful torment.

And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.

(ஆயினும்) என்னுடைய வேதனையும் நிச்சயமாக மிக்க கொடியதே!"

“(ஆயினும்) நிச்சயமாக என்னுடைய வேதனையும் நோவினைமிக்கதாகவே இருக்கும்” (என்றும் சொல்லும்).

“என்னுடைய வேதனையோ, அதுவே நோவினை தரும் வேதனையாகும்” (என்றும் நபியே! நீர் தெரிவிப்பீராக!)

and that My punishment is the most painful punishment.

Wanabbihum AAan dayfi ibraheema

And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrâhîm (Abraham).

And inform them about the guests of Abraham,

(நபியே!) இப்றாஹீமுடைய விருந்தாளிகளின் வரலாற்றை நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு அறிவியுங்கள்.

இன்னும், இப்றாஹீமின் விருந்தினர்களைப் பற்றியும் அவர்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக!

இன்னும், (நபியே!) இப்றாஹீமுடைய விருந்தாளிகள் பற்றி நீர் அவர்களுக்கு தெரிவிப்பீராக!

And inform them about the guests of Abraham.

Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala inna minkum wajiloona

When they entered to him, and said: "Salâman (peace)!" [Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you."

When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you."

அவர்கள் இப்றாஹீமிடம் சென்று "ஸலாமுன்" (உங்களுக்கு ஈடேற்றம் உண்டாவதாக!) என்று கூறியதற்கு, அவர் "நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களைப் பற்றி பயப்படுகிறேன்" என்றார்.

அவர்கள் அவரிடம் வந்து, “உங்களுக்குச் சாந்தி (ஸலாமுன்) உண்டாவதாக!” என்று சொன்ன போது அவர், “நாம் உங்களைப்பற்றி பயப்படுகிறோம்” என்று கூறினார்.

அவர்கள் அவரிடம் நுழைந்தபோது “ஸலாமுன்” (சாந்தி உண்டாவதாக!) என்று கூறினார்கள். “நிச்சயமாக அவர், நாம் உங்களைப் பற்றி பயப்படக்கூடியவர்கள்” என்றார்.

When they entered upon him and said, “Peace!” He said, “We are afraid of you.”

Qaloo la tawjal inna nubashshiruka bighulamin AAaleemin

They (the angels) said: "Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom."

[The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy."

அதற்கவர்கள், "நீங்கள் பயப்படாதீர்கள். நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களுக்கு மிக்க ஞானமுடைய ஓர் மகனைக் கொண்டு நற்செய்தி கூறுகிறோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அதற்கு அவர்கள், “பயப்படாதீர்! நாம் உமக்கு மிக்க ஞானமுள்ள ஒரு மகனைப் பற்றி நன்மாராயம் கூறு(வதற்காகவே வந்திருக்)கின்றோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “நீர் பயப்படாதீர், நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு மிக்க அறிவார்ந்த ஒரு குமாரனைக் கொண்டு நன்மாராயங் கூறு(வதற்காகவே வந்திருக்)கின்றோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “Do not be afraid; We give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.”

Qala abashshartumoonee AAala an massaniya alkibaru fabima tubashshirooni

[Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?"

He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?"

அதற்கவர் "இம்முதுமையிலா நீங்கள் எனக்கு மகனைக் கொண்டு நற்செய்தி கூறுகின்றீர்கள்!" என்று கூறினார்.

அதற்கவர், “என்னை முதுமை வந்தடைந்திருக்கும்போதா எனக்கு நன்மாராயங் கூறுகிறீர்கள்? எந்த அடிப்படையில் நீங்கள் நன்மாராயங் கூறுகிறீர்கள்? உங்கள் நற்செய்தி எதைப்பற்றியது?” எனக் கேட்டார்.

அ(தற்க)வர், “என்னை முதுமை வந்தடைந்துவிட்டபோதா நீங்கள் எனக்கு (குமாரனைக் கொண்டு) நன்மாராயங் கூறுகின்றீர்கள்? எதனைக் கொண்டு நீங்கள் எனக்கு நன்மாராயங் கூறுகிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார்.

He said, “Do you give me glad tidings despite my old age? What glad tidings are you giving me?”

Qaloo bashsharnaka bialhaqqi fala takun mina alqaniteena

They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing."

They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing."

அதற்கவர்கள், ("பரிகாசமாக அல்ல) மெய்யாகவே நாங்கள் உங்களுக்கு (மகனைப் பற்றி) நற்செய்தி கூறுகிறோம். (அதைப்பற்றி) நீங்கள் அவநம்பிக்கைக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அதற்கவர்கள், “மெய்யாகவே, நாங்கள் உமக்கு நன்மாராயங் கூறினோம்; ஆகவே நீர் (அதுபற்றி) நிராசை கொண்டோரில் ஒருவராகி விடாதீர்!” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “உண்மையைக் கொண்டே நாங்கள் உமக்கு (மகனைப் பற்றி) நன்மாராயம் கூறுகின்றோம், (அதைப்பற்றி) நிராசை கொண்டோரில் நீர் ஆகிவிட வேண்டாம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “We have given you glad tidings in truth, so do not be of those who despair.”

Qala waman yaqnatu min rahmati rabbihi illa alddalloona

[Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?"

He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"

அதற்கவர், "வழிகெட்டவர்களைத் தவிர தன் இறைவன் அருளைப் பற்றி எவன்தான் அவநம்பிக்கை கொள்ளக்கூடும்" என்றார்.

“வழிகெட்டவர்களைத் தவிர, வேறெவர் தம் இறைவனுடைய அருளைப்பற்றி நிராசை கொள்வர்” என்று (இப்ராஹீம் பதில்) சொன்னார்,

அ(தற்க)வர், “வழிகெட்டவர்களைத் தவிர, வேறெவர் தன் இரட்சகனின் அருளைப்பற்றி நிராசை கொள்வார்?” என்றார்.

He said, “Who would despair of his Lord’s mercy except those who are misguided?”

Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona

[Ibrâhîm (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O messengers?"

[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"

(பின்னர் மலக்குகளை நோக்கி, "இறைவனால்) அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்களே! உங்கள் விஷயமென்ன?" என்று கேட்டார்.

“(அல்லாஹ்வின்) தூதர்களே! உங்களுடைய காரியமென்ன?” என்று (இப்றாஹீம்) கேட்டார்.

(பின்னர் மலக்குகளிடம் “அல்லாஹ்வினால்) அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்களே! உங்கள் செய்தி என்ன? என்று கேட்டார்.

He said, “So, what is your mission, O messengers?”

Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena

They (the angels) said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners).

They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals,

அதற்கவர்கள் "(மிகப்பெரிய) குற்றம் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் மக்களிடம் (அவர்களை அழித்துவிட) மெய்யாகவே நாங்கள் அனுப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அதற்கவர்கள், “குற்றவாளிகளான ஒரு கூட்டத்தாரிடம் நாங்கள் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்.

அ(தறக)வர்கள் “பாவிகளான ஒரு கூட்டத்தார்பால் (அவர்களை அழித்துவிட) நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “We have been sent to a wicked people,

Illa ala lootin inna lamunajjoohum ajmaAAeena

"(All) except the family of Lût (Lot). Them all we are surely, going to save (from destruction).

Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all

"எனினும், லூத்துடைய சந்ததிகளைத் தவிர (மற்ற அனைவரையும் அழித்து விடுவோம்.) நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அவர் (சந்ததி)கள் அனைவரையும் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்வோம்

“லூத்தின் கிளையாரைத் தவிர, அவர்களனைவரையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் காப்பாற்றுவோம்.

லூத்துடைய குடும்பத்தாரைத் தவிர- நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் காப்பாற்றுகிறவர்கள்.

except the household of Lot; we will surely save them all,

Illa imraatahu qaddarna innaha lamina alghabireena

"Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)."

Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind.

எனினும், அவருடைய மனைவியைத் தவிர, நிச்சயமாக அவள் (அந்தப் பாவிகளுடன்) தங்கிவிடுவாளென்று நாம் முடிவு செய்துவிட்டோம்" (என்று இறைவன் கூறியதாகக் கூறினார்கள்.)

ஆனால் அவர் (லூத்) உடைய மனைவியைத் தவிர - நிச்சயமாக அவள் (காஃபிர்களின் கூட்டத்தாரோடு) பின்தங்கியிருப்பாள் என்று நாம் நிர்ணயித்து விட்டோம்” என்று (வானவர்கள்) கூறினார்கள்.  

–“அவருடைய மனைவியைத் தவிர, நிச்சயமாக அவள் (வேதனையடைவதில்) தங்கியவர்களில் உள்ளவளென்று நாம் நிர்ணயித்துவிட்டோம்” என்று அல்லாஹ் கூறியதாகக் கூறினார்கள்.)

except his wife; We have decreed that she will be among those who stay behind.”

Falamma jaa ala lootin almursaloona

Then when the messengers (the angels) came to the family of Lût (Lot).

And when the messengers came to the family of Lot,

(இறைவனால்) அனுப்பப்பட்ட (அம்)மலக்குகள் லூத்துடைய குடும்பத்தாரிடம் வந்தபொழுது,

(இறுதியில்) அத்தூதர்கள் லூத்துடைய கிளையாரிடம் வந்த போது.

(அல்லாஹ்வால்) அனுப்ப்பபட்ட (மலக்குகளான அத்தூது)வர்கள் லூத்துடைய குடும்பத்தாரிடம் வந்தபொழுது-

When the messengers came to the household of Lot,

Qala innakum qawmun munkaroona

He said: "Verily, you are people unknown to me."

He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown."

அவர் (அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (நான்) அறியாத மக்களாய் இருக்கின்றீர்களே!" என்று கூறினார்.

(அவர்களை நோக்கி எனக்கு) அறிமுகமில்லாத மக்களாக நீங்கள் இருக்கிறீர்கள்” என்று (லூத்) சொன்னார்,

அவர் (அவர்களிடம்) “நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் (எனக்கு) அறிமுகமில்லாக் கூட்டத்தவர்” என்று கூறினார்.

he said, “You are an unfamiliar people.”

Qaloo bal jinaka bima kanoo feehi yamtaroona

They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting.

They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing,

அதற்கவர்கள், "(உங்களது மக்களாகிய) இவர்கள் எதைச் சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அதை நாம் உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறோம்.

(அதற்கு அவர்கள்,) “அல்ல, (உம் கூட்டதாராகிய) இவர்கள் எதைச் சந்தேகித்தார்களோ, அதை நாம் உம்மிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறோம்;

அ(தற்க)வர்கள், “அல்ல! அவர்கள் எதை சந்தேகித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அதை நாம் உம்மிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “We have come to you with that [punishment] which they have doubted.

Waataynaka bialhaqqi wainna lasadiqoona

"And we have brought you the truth (the news of the destruction of your nation) and certainly we tell the truth.

And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful.

மெய்யான விஷயத்தையே நாம் உங்களிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறோம். நிச்சயமாக நாம் (அவர்களை அழித்துவிடுவோம், என்று உங்களுக்கு) உண்மையே கூறுகிறோம்.

(உறுதியாக நிகழவிருக்கும்) உண்மையையே உம்மிடம் நாங்கள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கின்றோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

“(நடந்தேறக்கூடியதான) உண்மையையே நாம் உம்மிடம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறோம், நிச்சயமாக நாம் உண்மையாளர்களாகவே இருக்கிறோம்.

We have come to you with the truth, and we are certainly truthful.

Faasri biahlika biqitAAin mina allayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafit minkum ahadun waimdoo haythu tumaroona

"Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered."

So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded."

ஆகவே, இன்றிரவில் சிறிது நேரம் இருக்கும்பொழுதே நீங்கள் உங்கள் குடும்பத்தினரை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு, (அவர்கள் முன்னும்) நீங்கள் பின்னுமாகச் செல்லுங்கள். உங்களில் ஒருவருமே திரும்பிப் பார்க்காது உங்களுக்கு ஏவப்பட்ட இடத்திற்குச் சென்று விடுங்கள்" என்றார்கள்.

ஆகவே இரவில் ஒரு பகுதியில் உம்முடைய குடும்பத்தினருடன் நடந்து சென்று விடும்; அன்றியும் (அவர்களை முன்னால் செல்ல விட்டு) அவர்கள் பின்னே நீர் தொடர்ந்து செல்லும். உங்களில் எவரும் திரும்பிப் பார்க்க வேண்டாம். நீங்கள் ஏவப்படும் இடத்திற்கு சென்று விடுங்கள் என்று அ(த் தூது)வர்கள் கூறினார்கள்.

ஆகவே, இரவின் ஒரு பகுதியில் நீர் உம் குடும்பத்தினருடன் சென்று விடுவீராக! அன்றியும், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால் நீர் தொடர்ந்து செல்வீராக! உங்களில் ஒருவருமே திரும்பிப் பார்க்கவும் வேண்டாம், நீங்கள் ஏவப்பட்ட இடத்திற்குச் சென்றும் விடுங்கள்” (என்றார்கள்.)

So travel with your household in the dark of night and go behind them; none of you should look back, and keep going to where you are commanded.”

Waqadayna ilayhi thalika alamra anna dabira haolai maqtooAAun musbiheena

And We made known this decree to him that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning.

And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning.

அன்றி, நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் அனைவரும் விடிவதற்குள்ளாகவே வேரறுக்கப்பட்டு விடுவார்கள் என்றும் நாம் (அம்மலக்குகள் மூலமாக) அவருக்கு அறிவித்தோம்.

மேலும், “இவர்கள் யாவரும் அதிகாலையிலேயே நிச்சயமாக வேரறுக்கப்பட்டு விடுவார்கள் (என்னும்) அக்காரியத்தையும் நாம் முடிவாக அவருக்கு அறிவித்தோம்”.

அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் அனைவரும் காலைப்பொழுதை அடைந்தவர்களாக வேரறுக்கப்பட்டு விடுவார்கள் என்றும் நாம் முடிவெடுத்து அவருக்கு அறிவித்தோம்.

We conveyed this decree to him that these [people] will be exterminated by early morning.”

Wajaa ahlu almadeenati yastabshiroona

And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival).

And the people of the city came rejoicing.

(இதற்கிடையில் லூத் நபியின் வீட்டிற்கு வாலிபர்கள் சிலர் வந்திருப்பதாக அறிந்து) அவ்வூரார் மிக்க சந்தோஷத்துடன் (லூத் நபியின் வீட்டிற்கு) வந்து (கூடி) விட்டனர்.

(லூத்தின் விருந்தினர்களாக வாலிபர்கள் வந்திருப்பதையறிந்து) அந் நகரத்து மக்கள் மிக்க மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வந்து சேர்ந்தார்கள்.

மேலும், (வாலிபர்கள் சிலர் வந்திருப்பதாக அறிந்த) அந்நகரவாசிகள், மிக்க மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தவர்களாக வந்து விட்டனர்.

The people of the city came [to Lot] rejoicing.

Qala inna haolai dayfee fala tafdahooni

[Lût (Lot)] said: "Verily, these are my guests, so shame me not.

[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me.

(லூத் நபி அவர்களை நோக்கி) "நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் என்னுடைய விருந்தாளிகள். ஆகவே, (அவர்கள் முன்பாக) நீங்கள் என்னை இழிவுபடுத்தாதீர்கள்.

(லூத் வந்தவர்களை நோக்கி:) “நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் என்னுடைய விருந்தினர்கள். ஆகவே, (அவர்கள் முன்) என்னை நீங்கள் அவமானப்படுத்தி விடாதீர்கள்;”

(லூத் நபி அவர்களிடம்) “நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் என்னுடைய விருந்தாளிகள், ஆகவே, (அவர்கள் விஷயத்தில்) என்னை நீங்கள் அவமானப்படுத்தி விடாதீர்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

Lot said, “These are my guests, so do not bring shame on me.

Waittaqoo Allaha wala tukhzooni

"And fear Allâh and disgrace me not."

And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."

அன்றி நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; என்னை அவமானப்படுத்தாதீர்கள்" என்று கூறினார்.

“அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள். என்னைக் கேவலப்படுத்தி விடாதீர்கள்” என்றும் கூறினார்.

“அன்றியும், நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள், என்னை இழிவுபடுத்தியும் விடாதீர்கள்” (என்று கூறினார்.)

Fear Allah and do not disgrace me.”

Qaloo awalam nanhaka AAani alAAalameena

They (people of the city) said: "Did we not forbid you from entertaining (or protecting) any of the 'آlamîn (people, foreigners and strangers from us)?"

They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?"

அதற்கவர்கள் "உலகில் யாராயிருந்தாலும் (சிபாரிசுக்கு) நீங்கள் வரக்கூடாதென்று நாம் உங்களைத் தடுத்திருக்கவில்லையா?" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

அதற்கவர்கள், “உலக மக்களைப் பற்றியெல்லாம் (எங்களிடம் பேசுவதை விட்டும்) நாங்கள் உம்மைத் தடுக்கவில்லையா?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

அ(தற்கவர்கள், “அகிலத்தார் பற்றியெல்லாம் (பேச வேண்டாம் என) நாம் உம்மைத் தடுக்கவில்லையா?” எனறு கூறினார்கள்.

They said, “Did we not forbid you from [protecting] people?”

Qala haolai banatee in kuntum faAAileena

[Lût (Lot)] said: "These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so)."

[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]."

அதற்கவர் "இதோ! என்னுடைய பெண் மக்கள் இருக்கின்றனர். நீங்கள் (ஏதும்) செய்தே தீரவேண்டுமென்று கருதினால் (இவர்களை திருமணம்) செய்துகொள்ளலாம்" என்று கூறினார்.

அதற்கவர், “இதோ! என் புதல்வியர் இருக்கிறார்கள். நீங்கள் (ஏதும்) செய்தே தீர வேண்டுமெனக் கருதினால் (இவர்களை திருமணம்) செய்து கொள்ளலாம்” என்று கூறினார்.

அ(தற்க)வர், “இவர்கள் என்னுடைய பெண்மக்கள், நீங்கள் (ஏதும்) செய்பவர்களாக இருந்தால்) இவர்களைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளுங்கள்” (என்று கூறினார்)

He said, “These are my daughters [to marry] if you must.”

LaAAamruka innahum lafee sakratihim yaAAmahoona

Verily, by your life (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly.

By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.

(நபியே!) உங்கள் மீது சத்தியமாக! அவர்கள் புத்தி மயங்கி (வழிகேட்டில்) தட்டழிந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். (ஆதலால், அதற்கு செவி சாய்க்கவில்லை.)

(நபியே!) உம் உயிர் மீது சத்தியமாக, நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் தம் மதிமயக்கத்தில் தட்டழிந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

(நபியே!) உம்முடைய உயிரின் மீது சத்தியமாக! நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய மதிமயக்கத்திலேயே தட்டழிந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

By your life [O prophet], they were wandering blindly in their intoxication [of lust].

Faakhathathumu alssayhatu mushriqeena

So As-Saihah (torment – awful cry) overtook them at the time of sunrise.

So the shriek seized them at sunrise.

ஆகவே, சூரியன் உதித்ததற்கு பின்னுள்ள நேரத்தை அடைந்தபோது அவர்களை இடிமுழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது.

ஆகவே, பொழுது உதிக்கும் வேளையில், அவர்களை பேரிடி முழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது.

ஆகவே,பொழுது உதயத்திற்குப்பிறகுள்ள நேரத்தை அவர்கள் அடைய பேரிடி முழக்கம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது.

So they were seized by the blast at sunrise,

FajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilaha waamtarna AAalayhim hijaratan min sijjeelin

And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay.

And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay.

அச்சமயம் அவர்கள் மீது செங்கற்களை பொழியச் செய்து அவர்களுடைய ஊரை மேல் கீழாகப் புரட்டிவிட்டோம்.

பின்பு அவர்களுடைய ஊரை மேல் கீழாகப் புரட்டி விட்டோம்; இன்னும், அவர்கள் மேல் சுடப்பட்ட களிமண்ணாலான கற்களைப் பொழியச் செய்தோம்.

அ(வ்வூரான)தன் மேற்பகுதியை அதன் கீழ்ப்பகுதியாக (-மேல் கீழாக) ஆக்கிவிட்டோம், இன்னும் (களிமண்ணாலான) சுடப்பட்ட கற்களை அவர்கள்மீது நாம் பொழியச் செய்தோம்.

and We turned their cities upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay.

Inna fee thalika laayatin lilmutawassimeena

Surely, in this are signs for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allâh).

Indeed in that are signs for those who discern.

உண்மையைக் கண்டறிபவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

நிச்சயமாக இதில் சிந்தனையுடையோருக்குப் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

சிந்திப்போருக்கு நிச்சயமாக இதில் பல அத்தாட்சிகள் இருக்கின்றன.

Indeed, there are signs in this for those who discern.

Wainnaha labisabeelin muqeemin

And verily, they (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria, i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now).

And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road.

நிச்சயமாக அவ்வூர் (நீங்கள் யாத்திரைக்கு) வரப்போகக் கூடிய வழியில்தான் (இன்னும்) இருக்கிறது.

நிச்சயமாக அவ்வூர் (நீங்கள் பயணத்தில்) வரப்போகும் வழியில்தான் இருக்கிறது.

நிச்சயமாக அ(வ்வூரான)து, (நீங்கள் பிரயாணத்தில் சென்று திரும்பும்) நேரான பாதையில்தான் இருக்கிறது.

And their place is located by a known route.

Inna fee thalika laayatan lilmumineena

Surely, therein is indeed a sign for the believers.

Indeed in that is a sign for the believers.

நிச்சயமாக இதில் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு ஒரு (நல்ல) படிப்பினை இருக்கிறது.

திடமாக முஃமின்களுக்கு இதில் (தகுந்த) அத்தாட்சி இருக்கிறது.

நிச்சயமாக இதில் விசுவாசங்கொண்டோர்க்கு ஒரு அத்தாட்சி இருக்கிறது.

Indeed, there are signs in this for the believers.

Wain kana ashabu alaykati lathalimeena

And the Dwellers of the Wood [i.e. the people of Madyan (Midian) to whom Prophet Shu'aib ['alayhis-salâm] was sent by Allâh], were also Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).

And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers.

(இவர்களைப் போலவே ஷுஐபுடைய மக்களாகிய) தோப்புடையவர்களும் நிச்சயமாக அநியாயக்காரர்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

இன்னும், அடர்ந்த சோலைகளில் வசித்திருந்த (ஷுஐபுடைய) சமூகத்தாரும் அக்கிரமக்காரர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

(ஷுஐபுடைய சமூகத்தாராகிய) அடர்ந்த தோப்புடையோரும் நிச்சயமாக அநியாயக்காரர்களாகவே இருந்தனர்.

And the people of the Forest [Shu‘ayb] were wrongdoers.

Faintaqamna minhum wainnahuma labiimamin mubeenin

So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see.

So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway.

ஆகவே, அவர்களையும் நாம் பழி வாங்கினோம். (அழிந்த) இவ்விரு (மக்களின்) ஊர்களும் பகிரங்கமான வழியில்தான் இருக்கின்றன.

எனவே அவர்களிடமும் நாம் பழிவாங்கினோம்; (அழிந்த) இவ்விரு (மக்களின்) ஊர்களும் பகிரங்கமான (போக்குவரத்து) வழியில் தான் இருக்கின்றன.  

ஆகவே, அவர்களை நாம் தண்டித்தோம், நிச்சயமாக (அழிக்கப்பட்ட) இவ்விரண்டு (ஊர்களு)ம் பகிரங்கமான வழியில்தான் இருக்கின்றன.

So We punished them in retribution, and both [places] are by a clear highway.

Walaqad kaththaba ashabu alhijri almursaleena

And verily, the Dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers.

And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers.

(இவ்வாறே) "ஹிஜ்ர்" என்னும் இடத்திலிருந்த (ஸமூது என்னும்) மக்களும் நம் தூதர்களைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

(இவ்வாறே ஸமூது சமூகத்தாரான) மலைப்பாறை வாசிகளும் (நம்) தூதர்களைப் பொய்யாக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

(மதீனாவிற்கும், தபூக்கிற்கும் இடைப்பகுதியிலுள்ள “ஹிஜ்ர்” என்ற ஊரில் வாழ்ந்து வந்த ஸமூது கூட்டத்தினரான) ஹிஜ்ருவாசிகளும் (நம்) தூதர்களை திட்டமாகப் பொய்யாக்கினர்.

Surely the people of Al-Hijr [Thamūd] also rejected the messengers.

Waataynahum ayatina fakanoo AAanha muAArideena

And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them.

And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away.

நாம் அவர்களுக்கு நம்முடைய பல அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொடுத்திருந்தும், அவைகளை அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்துக் கொண்டே வந்தார்கள்.

அவர்களுக்கு நாம் நம் அத்தாட்சிகளைக் கொடுத்தோம்; அவர்கள் அவற்றைப் புறக்கணித்தவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள்.

நாம் அவர்களுக்கு நம்முடைய பல அத்தாட்சிகளையும் கொடுத்தோம், அப்பொழுது அவற்றைவிட்டும் அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்தவர்களாகவே இருந்தார்கள்.

We gave them Our signs, but they kept turning away from them.

Wakanoo yanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan amineena

And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains, (feeling themselves) secure.

And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.

அச்சமற்று வாழலாம் எனக்கருதி அவர்கள் மலைகளைக் குடைந்து வீடுகள் அமைத்தார்கள்.

அச்சமற்றுப் பாதுகாப்பாக வாழலாம் எனக்கருதி, அவர்கள் மலைகளைக் குடைந்து வீடுகளை அமைத்துக் கொண்டார்கள்.

அவர்கள் அச்சமற்றவர்களாக மலைகளிலிருந்து வீடுகளைக் குடை(ந்து உருவாக்கு)பவர்களாகவும் இருந்தனர்.

They carved houses in the mountains, feeling secure.

Faakhathathumu alssayhatu musbiheena

But As-Saihah (torment – awful cry) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days).

But the shriek seized them at early morning.

அவர்களையும் விடியற்காலையில் (பெரும்) சப்தம் பிடித்துக்கொண்டது.

ஆனால், அவர்களையும் அதிகாலையில் பேரிடி முழக்கம் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது,

அவர்கள் அதிகாலைப்பொழுதை அடைந்தவர்களாக இருக்க பேரிடி முழக்கம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டது.

So they were seized by the blast early in the morning.

Fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona

And all that they used to earn availed them not.

So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.

அவர்கள் (தங்களை பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ள) செய்திருந்தவைகளில் ஒன்றுமே அவர்களுக்குப் பலனளிக்கவில்லை.

அப்போது அவர்கள் (தம் பாதுகாப்புக்கென) அமைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவை எதுவும் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு பலனும் அளிக்கவில்லை.

அவர்கள் (தங்களைப் பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளச்) செய்திருந்தவைகளில் ஏதும் அவர்களுக்கு அப்போது பலனளிக்கவில்லை.

Nothing of what they earned was of any avail to them.

Wama khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi wainna alssaAAata laatiyatun faisfahi alssafha aljameela

And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihâd holy fighting in Allâh's Cause.]

And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness.

வானங்களையும் பூமியையும், இவைகளுக்கு மத்தியில் உள்ளவைகளையும் தக்க காரணமின்றி நாம் படைக்கவில்லை. (நபியே! இவர்களுடைய தண்டனைக்குரிய) காலம் நிச்சயமாக வரக்கூடியதே! (அதுவரையில் இத்துஷ்டர்களின் விஷமத்தை) நீங்கள் கண்ணியமான முறையில் புறக்கணித்து வாருங்கள்.

நாம் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், இவை இரண்டிற்குமிடையே உள்ளவற்றையும் உண்மையைக் கொண்டே அல்லாது படைக்கவில்லை. (நபியே! இவர்களுடைய தண்டனைக்குரிய) காலம் நிச்சயமாக வருவதாகவே உள்ளது; ஆதலால் (இவர்களின் தவறுகளை) முற்றாகப் புறக்கணித்துவிடும்.

வானங்களையும், பூமியையும் இவ்விரண்டிற்கு மத்தியிலுள்ளவைகளையும் உண்மையைக் கொண்டேயல்லாது நாம் படைக்கவில்லை, (நபியே! இவர்களுடைய தண்டனைக்குரிய காலமான) மறுமை நாள் நிச்சயமாக வரச்கூடியதே! (அது வரையில் இத் தீயவர்களின் துன்புறுத்தலை) நீர் முற்றாகப் புறக்கணித்து அழகாக மன்னித்துவிடுவீராக!

We have not created the heavens and earth and all that is between them except for a true purpose. The Hour is certainly coming, so bear with them graciously.

Inna rabbaka huwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu

Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator.

Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator.

நிச்சயமாக உங்களது இறைவனே (அனைத்தையும்) படைத்தவனும், இவர்கள் அனைவரையும்) நன்கறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக உம்முடைய இறைவன் (எல்லாவற்றையும்) படைத்தவனாகவும், அனைத்தையும் அறிந்தவனாகவும் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக உமதிரட்சகன் - அவனே (அனைத்தையும்) படைத்தோன், (இவர்களைப்பற்றி) நன்கறிந்தோன்.

Indeed, your Lord is the Absolute Creator, the All-Knowing.

Walaqad ataynaka sabAAan mina almathanee waalqurana alAAatheema

And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathâni (seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Sûrat Al-Fâtihah) and the Grand Qur'ân.

And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களுக்கு திரும்பத் திரும்ப ஓதக்கூடிய ஏழு வசனங்களை (உடைய "அல்ஹம்து" என்னும் அத்தியாயத்தை)யும், இந்த மகத்தான குர்ஆனையும் அளித்திருக்கிறோம்.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு திரும்பத் திரும்ப ஓதக் கூடிய (ஸுரத்துல் ஃபாத்திஹாவின்) ஏழு வசனங்களையும், மகத்தான (இந்த) குர்ஆனையும் வழங்கியிருக்கின்றோம்.

(நபியே!) நிச்சயமாக நாம் உமக்கு திரும்பத் திரும்ப ஓதக் கூடிய ஏழு வசனங்களை(யுடைய அல்ஃபாத்திஹா அத்தியாயத்தை)யும் இந்த மகத்தான குர் ஆனையும் தந்திருக்கிறோம்.

We have surely given you the seven oft-repeated verses and the great Qur’an.

La tamuddanna AAaynayka ila ma mattaAAna bihi azwajan minhum wala tahzan AAalayhim waikhfid janahaka lilmumineena

Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers).

Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers

(பாவிகளாகிய) இவர்கள் (இவ்வுலகில்) பல வகைகளிலும் சுகமனுபவிக்க இவர்களுக்கு நாம் கொடுத்திருப்பவைகளின் பக்கம் நீங்கள் உங்கள் இரு கண்களையும் நீட்டாதீர்கள்; நீங்கள் இவர்களுக்காக கவலையும் படாதீர்கள். எனினும், நீங்கள்நம்பிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு உங்களது பணிவான அன்பைக் காட்டுங்கள்.

அவர்களிலிருந்து, சில வகுப்பினரை இவ்வுலகில் எவற்றைக் கொண்டு சுகம் அனுபவிக்க நாம் செய்திருக்கின்றோமோ அவற்றின் பால் நீர் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; அவர்களுக்காக நீர் துக்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்; ஆனால் உம் (அன்பென்னும்) இறக்கையை முஃமின்கள் மீது இறக்கும்.

எதை நாம் அவர்களில் பலதரப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு சுகமனுபவிக்க வைத்துள்ளோமோ, அதன்பால் உம்முடைய இருகண்களை(பார்வைகளை)யும் நிச்சயமாக நீர் நீட்டாதீர்! நீர் அவர்களுக்காக கவலையும் படாதீர், இன்னும், நீர் விசுவாசிகளுக்கு (பணிவெனும்) இறக்கையைத் தாழ்த்துவீராக.

Do not look longingly at the pleasures We have given certain classes of them, nor grieve over them, but lower your wing [in humility] to the believers.

Waqul innee ana alnnatheeru almubeenu

And say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): "I am indeed a plain warner."

And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" -

அன்றி, "நிச்சயமாக நான் பகிரங்கமாகவே அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவன்" என்றும் கூறுங்கள்.

“பகிரங்கமாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிப்பவனாக நிச்சயமாக நான் இருக்கின்றேன்” என்று நீர் கூறுவீராக;

அன்றியும், “நிச்சயமாக நானே பகிரங்கமாக அச்சமூட்டி எச்சரிக்கை செய்கிறவன்” என்றும் நீர் கூறுவீராக!

And say, “I am indeed a clear warner.” –

Kama anzalna AAala almuqtasimeena

As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians).

Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators

(நபியே! முன்னுள்ள வேதங்களைப்) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

(நபியே! முன் வேதங்களை) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தவர்கள் மீது முன்னர் நாம் (வேதனையை) இறக்கியவாறே,

(நபியே!) முந்தைய வேதங்களைப்) பலவாறாகப் பிரித்தோர் மீது இறக்கியவாறே (வேதனையை நாம் இறக்குவோம்-)

just as We sent down [punishment] upon those who divided [their religion],

Allatheena jaAAaloo alqurana AAideena

Who have made the Qur'ân into parts (i.e. believed in one part and disbelieved in the other). (Tafsir At-Tabari)

Who have made the Qur'an into portions.

இந்தக் குர்ஆனைப் பலவாறாகப் பிரிப்பவர்கள் மீதும் (வேதனையை இறக்கி வைப்போம்.)

இந்த குர்ஆனை பலவாறாகப் பிரிப்போர் மீதும் (வேதனையை இறக்கி வைப்போம்).

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால் (இந்தக்) குர் ஆனைப் பல பாகங்களாக ஆக்கி விட்டனர்.

those who split the Qur’an into different portions.

Fawarabbika lanasalannahum ajmaAAeena

So, by your Lord, (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]), We shall certainly call all of them to account.

So by your Lord, We will surely question them all

(ஆகவே) உங்கள் இறைவன் மீது சத்தியமாக! அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் (நம்மிடம்) ஒன்று சேர்த்து,

உம் இறைவன் மீது ஆணையாக, நிச்சயமாக நாம் அவர்களனைவரையும் விசாரிப்போம்.

ஆகவே, உமதிரட்சகன்மீது சத்தியமாக, அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் (விசாரணை செய்து) கேட்போம்.

By your Lord, We will surely question them all

AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona

For all that they used to do.

About what they used to do.

அவர்கள் என்ன செய்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள் என்பதைப் பற்றி நிச்சயமாக (அவர்களிடம்) கேள்வி கணக்குக் கேட்போம்.

அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த (எல்லாச்) செயல்களைப் பற்றியும், (நாம் விசாரிப்போம்).

அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தவைகளைப் பற்றி.

concerning what they used to do.

FaisdaAA bima tumaru waaAArid AAani almushrikeena

Therefore proclaim openly (Allâh's Message – Islâmic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikûn (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers. See V.2:105).

Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists.

ஆகவே, உங்களுக்கு ஏவப்பட்டதை(த் தயக்கமின்றி) நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு விவரித்தறிவித்துவிடுங்கள். மேலும், இணைவைத்து வணங்கும் இவர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடுங்கள்.

ஆதலால் உமக்குக் கட்டளையிடப் பட்டிருப்பதை வெளிப்படையாக அவர்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பீராக; இணைவைத்து வணங்குபவர்களை புறக்கணித்துவிடுவீராக!

ஆகவே, உமக்கு ஏவப்பட்டதை (த் தயக்கமின்றி) நீர் அவர்களுக்குத் தெளிவாகக் கூறி விடுவீராக! இணை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்போரை புறக்கணித்தும் விடுவீராக!

Then proclaim what you are commanded, and turn away from those who associate partners with Allah.

Inna kafaynaka almustahzieena

Truly, We will suffice you against the scoffers,

Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers

பரிகாசம் செய்யும் (இவர்களுடைய தீங்கைத் தடை செய்வதற்கு) நிச்சயமாக நாமே உங்களுக்குப் போதுமாயிருக்கிறோம்.

உம்மை ஏளனம் செய்பவர்கள் சம்பந்தமாக நாமே உமக்குப் போதுமாக இருக்கின்றோம்.

(உம்மைப்) பரிகாசம் செய்பவர்களுக்கு (தண்டனை அளிக்க) நிச்சயமாக நாமே உமக்குப் போதுமானவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம்.

We will surely suffice you against the mockers,

Allatheena yajAAaloona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fasawfa yaAAlamoona

Who set up along with Allâh another ilâh (god); but they will come to know.

Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know.

இவர்கள் (உங்களைப் பரிகசிப்பது மட்டுமா?) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மற்றொரு (பொய்த்) தெய்வத்தைக் கூட்டாக்கு கிறார்கள். (இதன் பலனை) பின்னர் இவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

இவர்கள் எத்தகையோர் என்றால் அல்லாஹ்வுடன் வேறு தெய்வத்தையும் (இணை) ஆக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்; (இதன் பலனை இவர்கள்) பின்னர் அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

அவர்கள் எத்தகையோரென்றால்- அல்லாஹ்வுடன் (பொய்யாக) மற்றொரு வணக்கத்திற்குரிய (தெய்வத்)தையும் (இணையாக) ஆக்குகிறார்கள். (இதன் முடிவைப் பின்னர்) அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வார்கள்.

those who set up besides Allah another god; they will come to know.

Walaqad naAAlamu annaka yadeequ sadruka bima yaqooloona

Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say.

And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say.

(நபியே! உங்களைப் பற்றி) அவர்கள் (கேவலமாகக்) கூறுபவை உங்கள் உள்ளத்தை நெருக்குகிறதென்பதை நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிவோம். (அதை நீங்கள் ஒரு சிறிதும் பொருட்படுத்தாதீர்கள்.)

(நபியே!) இவர்கள் (இழிவாகப்) பேசுவது உம் நெஞ்சத்தை எப்படி நெருக்குகிறது என்பதை நாம் அறிவோம்.

மேலும், (நபியே!) அவர்கள் (கேவலமாகக்) கூறுபவற்றின் காரணமாக உமது நெஞ்சம் கலக்கத்திற்குள்ளாவதை நிச்சயமாக நாம் அறிவோம்.

We know that you are distressed by what they say.

Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika wakun mina alssajideena

So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him).

So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him].

நீங்கள் உங்கள் இறைவனைத் துதி செய்து புகழ்ந்து அவனுக்குச் சிரம் பணிந்து வணங்குங்கள்;

நீர் (அப்பேச்சைப் பொருட்படுத்தாது) உம் இறைவனைப் புகழ்ந்து துதிப்பீராக! ஸுஜூது செய்(து சிரம் பணி)வோர்களில் நீரும் ஆகிவிடுவீராக!

ஆகவே நீர் (அவர்களின் கூற்றைப் பொருட்படுத்தாது) உமதிரட்சகனின் புகழைக் கொண்டு துதிப்பீராக! இன்னும், சிரம் பணிவோர்களில் நீரும் ஆகிவிடுவீராக!

Glorify your Lord with praise and be among those who prostrate [to Him],

WaoAAbud rabbaka hatta yatiyaka alyaqeenu

And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (i.e. death).

And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death).

உங்களுக்கு "எகீன்" (என்னும் மரணம்) ஏற்படும் வரையில் (இவ்வாறே) உங்கள் இறைவனை வணங்கிக் கொண்டிருங்கள்!

உமக்கு மரணம் வரும்வரை உமது இறைவனை வணங்குவீராக!

உமக்கு (யகீன் என்னும்) மரணம் வரும் வரையில் உமதிரட்சகனை வணங்கிக் கொண்டிருப்பீராக!

and worship your Lord until the certainty [of death] comes to you.
