103 - al-Asr (Time)

WaalAAasri

By Al-'Asr (the time).

By time,

காலத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

காலத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக.

காலத்தின் மீது சத்தியமாக!

By the time,

Inna alinsana lafee khusrin

Verily, man is in loss,

Indeed, mankind is in loss,

மனிதன் (தன் ஆயுளை வீணில் செலவு செய்து) நிச்சயமாக நஷ்டமடைந்துவிட்டான்.

நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் நஷ்டத்தில் இருக்கின்றான்.

நிச்சயமாக மனிதன் நஷ்டத்தில் இருக்கிறான்.

man is in utter loss,

Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati watawasaw bialhaqqi watawasaw bialssabri

Except those who believe (in Islâmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth [i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'rûf) which Allâh has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar) which Allâh has forbidden], and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allâh's Cause during preaching His religion of Islâmic Monotheism or Jihâd).

Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.

ஆயினும், எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு, நற்செயல்களையும் செய்து, சத்தியத்தை ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து (பாவங்களை விடுவதிலும் நன்மைகளைச் செய்வதிலும் ஏற்படும் கஷ்டங்களைச்) சகித்துக் கொள்ளுமாறும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து வந்தார்களோ, அவர்களைத் தவிர (இவர்கள் நஷ்டமடையவில்லை).

ஆயினும், எவர்கள் ஈமான் கொண்டு ஸாலிஹான (நல்ல) அமல்கள் செய்து, சத்தியத்தைக் கொண்டு ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்து, மேலும் பொறுமையைக் கொண்டும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களைத் தவிர (அவர்கள் நஷ்டத்திலில்லை).

விசுவாசங்கொண்டு நற்கருமங்களையும் செய்து, சத்தியத்தை ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசம் செய்தும், (பாவங்களை விடுவதிலும், நன்மைகளைச் செய்வதிலும் ஏற்படும் கஷ்டங்களைச் சகித்து) பொறுமையைக் கொண்டும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் உபதேசிக்கிறார்களே அத்தகையோரைத் தவிர,

except those who believe and do righteous deeds, and exhort one another to the truth and exhort one another to patience.
